<DeathStar> 6* And so, after eating one of Angela's evening meals, our hapless heroes sit around at the table, full with some weird meat.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis sips her glass of wine, not saying much. Darien seems to be looking around for extra cookies.
* Angela yawns a bit, "So... who's up for dessert?"
<Ariel> "I thought you were the one preparing dinner today?"
* Xanatos is now known as Drasek`
* Chad`Winters still eyes the meat infront of him. Having only picked at it.
<DeathStar> 6* Aya is asleep.
* Kit is now known as Megumi
* Drasek` takes a sip from another beer, having mostly just been drinking.
<Angela> "I assure you it's beef."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien steals a cookie from the sleeping Aya.
* Ariel eyes Darien
* Megumi seems unusually chipper lately, kicking her feet under the table. 1"I would not mind dessert!"
* Chad`Winters rubs the back of his neck. 1"I assure you it's probably good. I just can't eat it."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien pauses. "What?"
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr refuses to eat her vegetables, as typical.
<Ariel> "There's enough cookies for everyone, you don't need to take hers."
* Angela looks at Chad oddly. "You went Vegan on us?"
<DeathStar> <Darien> She's asleep.
* Megumi tilts her head at Zephyr, grinning. 1"Come on, Zephyr, the vegetables are defeating you?"
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Do you think I'd really fall for that? I'm not your girlfriend.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis just sips her wine, not commenting.
* Drasek` sets his beer bottle down, eyeing everyone being in such good moods. He pauses and glances at Zeph. "Nice one, bit."
<Ariel> "She'll want them when she wakes.
* Chad`Winters clicks his tongue. 1"Right, vegan." He just eyes the plate again then pushes it away.
* Megumi sticks her tongue out at Zephyr. 1"Hrrrmph!"
<DeathStar> <Darien> IF she wakes.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien eyes the cookie, then Aya.
* Angela looks at him oddly still, just shrugging and accepting that answer.
<Ariel> "......"
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr sticks her tongue back out.
<Angela> "I... ummm... made plenty of cookies..."
* Megumi pulls an eyelid down and continues! Will not be beaten!
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr "accidently" spits on Megumi's eyes while making a tongue razberry.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien eyes Ariel back, then takes a defiant bite of his cookie
* Drasek` glances around. "So um. Where is the rest of my beer?" He looks around for it.
* Angela giggles gently, she gets up and starts to gather the plates.
* Megumi wipes her face off and leans back calmly. 1"Hee, it is possible to make Zephyr look silly, after all."
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Says you.
* Chad`Winters eyes Megumi than just rolls his eyes.
* Ariel sighs. Wondering why Chad is saying nothing.
<DeathStar> 6* Perhaps it's the food, or just the company, but Ariel would feel incredibly sleepy. As if the bed were calling to her.
<Angela> "Zephyr doesn't look silly." *she responds almost reflexively*
* Angela gathers more plates.
<Megumi> Then what good is being a kid?
<DeathStar> <Erevis> It is a time of learning.
<Angela> "We get all that youthful energy. And don't forget good times."
* Chad`Winters glances over at Aya than Darien, then Aya.
* Ariel stiffles a yawn and stands, "I think, if you excuse me, I'm going to lay down for a moment."
* Angela grins a bit and puts the alst dishes in the sink.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien finishes the cookie, then points at Megumi
* Drasek` pauses and digs under the table, smiling as he finds his last beer, sitting up, cracking it open and drinking it.
* Megumi luxuriously yawns behind one hand, the other raised to stretch.1 "That is my point, Miss Angela. She should be silly once in a while. Learning is good and all, but... Overdoing it is not worth it."
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Night, mom.
* Chad`Winters studies Megumi than Zephyr now.
* Megumi waves gently. 1"Good night, Dearest Ariel."
<Angela> "A girl is silly only when she chooses to be."
<Drasek`> Night, Pinky. *he waves, mid-drink*
<Angela> "Mmmm? Goodnight Ariel."
<DeathStar> <Darien> Night, Ariel.
<Ariel> "Good night. And, Darien... please don't steal all of the girl's cookies."
* Megumi opens her eyes slightly and narrows them at Angela. 1"This coming from Miss Angela?"
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Goodnight, Ariel.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien reels back, as if betrayed. "That's it. No more of that position you like for a week."
* Angela tilts her head at Megumi. "This coming from Miss Angela."
* Megumi shivers and holds her sides. 1"Creepy."
* Angela looks at Darien, then nearly falls over giggling.
* Ariel pushes her seat back in, and takes her dishes back to the kitchen on the way out. Darien's comment doesn't get much reaction from her.. she knows he can't win that game with her.
<Angela> "Wearing... her out there Darien?"
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr flicks a greenbean at Megumi.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien sighs.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Apparantly not.
* Angela gives him a comforting look.
* Chad`Winters leans back in his seat as he closes his eyes.
<Drasek`> Don't worry, mate. I'll take care of her for you.
* Megumi turns and snaps it out of the air, swallowing. She holds her hands up and cheerfully grins at Zephyr, hands up like paws.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien snorts at Drasek. "I'd pay to see you try."
* Drasek` arches a brow. "Oh? How much?"
<Angela> "I'd contribute, and video tape it."
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> By the way, I covered that in hot pepper.
<DeathStar> <Darien> *Waves his hand* 5 credits.
<Chad`Winters> Next time cover it in laxatives. 6He shifts slightly.
<DeathStar> 6* Ariel would find, once she arrives, her nice comfy bed, complete with lack of weirdos.
<Megumi> That is fine. I like things spicey. Did you not know? I cook with peppers. Ask Beloved Erevis.
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Good idea, Chad. 6* She beams.
* Angela nods a bit. "Aye, good idea."
* Ariel just flops down on the bed, unusually exhausted. Though... the peace from the unusual lack of weirdos is relaxing.
<Angela> "Alright, I don't have alchohol... anyone for coffee? Soda?"
<Drasek`> Bah. I'd make more by recycling my old beer cans.
<Chad`Winters> Just don't tell her, otherwise she'll just speed her metabolism up or something odd and make it not effect her.
* Megumi licks her lips and gives a sideways look to Chad. 1"I do not do that anymore."
<Megumi> It worsens my condition.
<Angela> "Take notes!"
* Chad`Winters opens his eyes and looks at Zephyr. 1"Don't believe her. She's just trying to trick you."
<DeathStar> 6* And so, Ariel drifts off into a peaceful sleep. Full of pleasant dreams. However, this is shortly interrupted when Ariel finds herself laying on something hard, and cold, and there's lots of noises about her like shouting, and the clanging of metal.
* Ariel sits up abruptly, wondering if they've been found out. But... the sounds aren't right for that.
<Megumi> 'Bout damn time you're up.
<DeathStar> 6* A metal sword swings down at Ariel's head, and someone clad in funny looking metal armor and a helmet is shouting at her.
* Ariel rolls to the side, looking more than a little WTF at all this.
<DeathStar> 6* Ariel moves, but not as smoothly as she's accustomed to - she appears to be wearing a thin of metal armor herself, and a sword in a sheath is on her hip.
* Ariel winces. Damn armour isn't suited for this. But... why she's wearing armour? She gets to her feet quickly. "Megumi? What's going on here?" She draws her sword.
<DeathStar> 6* Her attacker's sword hits the ground, and the man begins to try to yank it out. He succeeds by the time Ariel draws her sword, turning to face Ariel. It would seem Ariel is surrounded by 4 burly men, all who are yelling and jeering at her. A horse is running around in the background, spooked out
<Megumi> Um, duh!
<Ariel> "No, not 'duh'." *waits for the attackers to make the first move*
<DeathStar> 6* One behind Ariel swings his sword at her back.
<Megumi> Really shouldsn't drink off t'sleep, Lord.
* Ariel pulls back, moving under his sword arm. She slams the hilt of her blade into his chest and then drives her shoulder up into his jaw. "What in the world are you TALKING about?"
* Megumi emphasizes utter sarcasm on the title bit. She's remained off and away from the attackers seeing as her armor isn't armor. Whatever her problem is, she's clad in some nice, but plain clothes.
<DeathStar> 6* The man makes a grunt as he goes down like a sack of potatos. Another man swings at Ariel's head. "It is only one man, people! Take hmi down!"
<Megumi> What?! One!?
<DeathStar> 6* It appears the attackers have no regard for Megumi either.
* Ariel brings her blade up to parry. She considers demanding an explination, but these men seem like grunts.
* Megumi slides over to the wall and grips the handle on a sword. A big one. She goes to swing it, but sort of lacks the strength to lift it. Instead she spins around once to build up momentum and then finally makes a swipe with the blade fit for a horse.
<Megumi> Two, y'goddamn lout! Turn 'round!
<DeathStar> 6* The Knight parries against Ariel, and struggles to overpower her.
<Megumi> Lord, 'tis last time I let y'nod off t'sleep after drinkin'. Goddamn lousy, it is!
* Ariel lets him push back a bit while she takes the opertunity to brace her footing, and then pushes back with her strength.
<DeathStar> 6* The man tumbles backwards into a pile of horse manuere
<DeathStar> 6* The remaining three Knights seem to take offense at this, and go for a three combo swing at Ariel from all sides.
* Megumi hacks at him with the giant edge.
<Megumi> Teach y'to ignore me, damn it!
* Ariel mutters as she turns to face the other two. If this was that damn fox's work... she blocks two of the blades as they intersect, but she can't stop the third in time.
* Megumi reaches down and flings a throwing knife for the third. They've worked together a while, at least.
<Megumi> Damn it, will y'wake up, already? If they aren't going to play with me, don't let 'em frisk you.
<DeathStar> 6* The third man is hit seconds before hitting Ariel, falling over with a thud.
<DeathStar> 6* The remaining two Knights seem a bit low on the morale department now.
<Ariel> "Yeah... well, that is easier said than done."
<Megumi> You're so pathetic, I swear.
<DeathStar> 6* They back off now, then seem to be formulating a new plan
* Ariel pushes against both their blades as they hesitate, kicking one in the head if they faulter.
<Megumi> C'mon, live up to y'name or I'll never get any respect!
<DeathStar> 6* Ariel kicks one in the head as he was backing off.
<DeathStar> 6* The last one swings his sword for Ariel in a direct frontal assault. "FOR THE DARK KNIGHT!"
* Megumi slams her edge into the one falling back. 1"Head's up, Lordy."
* Ariel sidesteps, bring her blunt of the blade around to hit him in the back of the head.
<DeathStar> 6* The last Knight goes down. The two stand victorious over the fallen Knights. The spooked horse quits pacing and moves over to Ariel.
* Ariel pats the horse on the neck, trying to calm the animal. "So what is going on here? And why do you keep calling me lordy?"
<Megumi> Um, duh!
* Megumi jerks her thumb at herself. 1"Squire."
* Megumi points at Ariel. 1"Lord."
<Megumi> How much did y'freakin' drink? Geez.
<Megumi> I swear, if you've lost your memory or something dumb like that...
* Ariel rubs her head, "Alright... and why did those men attack us? Or rather, me?"
<Megumi> 'Cause they want you dead?
<Megumi> Pack it up, we're goin' t'see the King, alright?
* Megumi presses a palm to her forehead, her hair braided and done up in rings behind her head. Her ears aren't pointy, but certainly looks like her. 1"Before you forget how to ride a horse."
* Ariel nods uncertainly, and gathers anything that seems to need to be. "Alright." Maybe then she could get some answers there.
<Megumi> Man, it's going t'suck bein' in town again.
* Megumi shrugs in disgust. 1"I'll have to carry everything. Bah."
* Megumi turns and points, snapping. 1"Hurry up!"
* Ariel mounts the horse carefully... first time on an animal like this, though she's riden before. "Should you really be giving orders like that?"
<Megumi> No, gonna make somethin' of it?
* Megumi finishes packing up a ...a pony. She's still small. Poor little thing has to carry the big arse sword on the back after she hops up.
<Ariel> "I really should. But it's nice to see you with some... spunk."
* Megumi tilts her head slightly, then looks irritated. 1"...Huh?"
<Megumi> What the hell're you babbling about?
* Ariel shakes her head, "Nothing. Lead the way."
<Megumi> You have t'lead, Lordy.
* Megumi points down the worn path weaving through the fields after their things are set away completely. 1"Carry on, oh prestijus save yore."
* Ariel sighs and starts off.
<Megumi> Oy, y'think they'll ever lighten up and let women be knights?
* Megumi sneers. 1"Not that I mind followin' you, gallunt sir."
* Ariel hesitates at that, "...what?"
<Megumi> Nothin'.
<Ariel> "......"
* Megumi gazes off and mumbles. 1"King Winters' such an ass."
* Ariel fails to stop herself laughing at that.
<Megumi> Oh, y'think so too, huh? Ahahaha.
<Ariel> "If he's the same as I'm thinking..."
<DeathStar> 6* And so, our two Knights rode off on a long, epic journey to the Kingdom of Winters, where they will meet with King Winters himself. They are met outside the castle by Regent Zephyr, who judges Megumi with a look of disgust, putting a hand to her chin as she studies Megumi. "Lord Ariel, it is good of you to come. Helping charity cases still? Your heart is like gold." 6* She waves her hand, adjusting her expensive outfit.
* Megumi twitches visibly but grins. 1"It's wondrous t'see you too. Always a shinin' example of the fair nobles, Lady Zephyr!"
* Ariel bows her head, "It seemed prudent that I came quickly." She tries not to dwell on the dissing of Megumi.
<Ariel> "I trust you are well?"
<DeathStar> 6* Regent Zephyr bows. "I try." 6* She turns back to Ariel, ignoring Megumi. "It is a distressing time here at our Kingdom. The King is utterly in knots about what has happened with that blasted Dark Knight. He wishes to see you immediately. Your...*waves her hand* squire here can tend to anything you have ... need of attending to." 6* She makes a fake smile.
<DeathStar> 6* She turns to lead Ariel to the King.
* Megumi puffs her cheeks. 1"Hey, I go where she goes!"
<DeathStar> 6* Regent Zephyr makes a pained expression. "Really. That's distressing. Very well. No time to waste."
<DeathStar> 6* She moves on.
* Ariel looks to Megumi, "I will trust you to use your own sense, but please... try not to make a scene." She moves to catch up with Zephyr.
* Megumi strains, the knuckles in her fingers almost cracking. She carries on after Ariel, purposesly letting her sword dangle just enough from her back to make a horrendous squealing on the marble.
<Megumi> Oh, of course, your Lordship.
<DeathStar> 6* Regent Zephyr makes a pained expression again, looking distressed.
<Ariel> "...that's making a scene."
* Megumi looks back at the sword in a manner of fake surprise and tightens the harness so that it stops. 1"Sorry, who'd have thought?"
<DeathStar> 6* And so, the two hapless Knights are led to the King's Chamber. Regent Zephyr speaks. "M'liege, the Knight Ariel is here to see you, as you requested." 6* She bows gracefully, moving to the side of the throne.
* Megumi kneels behind Ariel, moving to a knee in a practiced manner and bowing her head, one hand rests against the ground. 1"Your highness."
* Chad`Winters stands up from his thrown, his long graying hair tied back by his crown. He looks at Ariel, his eyes glancing at Megumi. 1"I see you still waste your time on that gnome."
* Megumi strains to keep from falling over.
* Ariel kneels before the king, bowing her head to hide the smirk at the fact it's Chad as king. "I don't believe that it's such a waste of time, my liege."
<Chad`Winters> I have several squire's who are ripe with potential Knight Ariel.
<Ariel> "I have faith in her potential."
* Megumi grinds her teeth slightly. They all suck! Argh!
* Megumi reaches over and grasps Ariel's leg, looking up. 1"Such a kind master, m'Lord! I'll never forget this moment!" 6She's probably brought to tears because of her shredded pride, no less.
<Chad`Winters> I do not. 6He rests his hand on the hilt of his blade. He eyes Megumi a hint of anger on his face. 1"You dare to speak without permission squire?"
* Ariel mentally sighs, wishing whoever is making her suffer this will show their intention soon.
* Megumi coughs behind her hand and returns to kneeling, glancing off to the side.
<Chad`Winters> Know your place well girl. 6He narrows his eyes on Megumi. 1"If it not for Knight Ariel's desire to have you for his squire, I'd have you sent to the guilotine."
<Megumi> Beggin' y'pardon, Highness. Still not used t'formalities, I will learn well t'respect the'well-born.
* Chad`Winters grabs the hilt of his plade tightly now as he eyes Megumi. 1"We have rules for a reason, you best to learn them well or your life as a squire will be short."
* Ariel looks up at Chad, "You had summoned us, my liege?" Trying to get this back on track.
<Chad`Winters> Very well. 6He turns his head to look at Ariel now. 1"Princess Aya has been taken from the garden's by the Dark Knight. How he managed to get past the guards and sentries is beyond me but he will pay for it with his life.
* Ariel keeps a serious expression. But inside, he rolls his eyes. If Aya was kidnapped, the dark knight was probally Darien. She waits for the king to continue
<Chad`Winters> Your task is simple. As my most trusted Knight you will bring me his head and Princess Aya back safetly. If you do this, I will give you my eldest daughter's hand in marriage and more land.
* Ariel pauses, hoping that doesn't turn out to be Angela...
* Ariel bows her head, "I will not fail you, my liege."
<Chad`Winters> I've been hearing rumors that the Dark Knight's slave trading ring in town has gotten a new shipment of woman. Your best to start there. 6He moves back, sitting in his chair, his expression lightening up. 1"My daughters are my life Knight Ariel. Bring her home safetly.
* Ariel stands, "Then, I will take my leave. And I'll have Aya back to you promptly."
<Chad`Winters> You are dismissed. Regent Zephyr shall see you out.
<DeathStar> 6* Regent Zephyr bows her head. "Of course. Follow me, Lord Ariel." 6* She steps from the King's side, moving to exit the King's chambers.
* Ariel bows her head again, and waits to be led out
<DeathStar> 6* As they are led away from the chamber, arms wrap around Ariel from behind. "Oh, Lord Ariel. I was pleased to hear you would be saving my sister today." 6* A woman with long, flowing red hair, and a beautiful green dress appears to be hugging Ariel, much to Regent Zephyr's disapproval. "I have heard my father has offered my hand to you if you succeed."
* Ariel is startled, and looks back.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis lets go, cupping her hands together. "I am glad my father has come to rely on you so much, as I have."
* Ariel smiles softly, "I couldn't let a young girl like her simply be abducted by that." She's a bit relieved that it's Erevis rather than someone else.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> I know my younger sister's life will be safe in your hands. 6* She reaches up and takes a ribbon from her hand, holding it out to Ariel. "For good luck, my Knight."
* Ariel takes the token, and bows. She wonders just what she's gotten herself into.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> And if that is not enough luck, then I shall give you this, as well. 6* She leans over and kisses Ariel on the lips. Regent Zephyr clears her throat.
* Ariel is... left stunned by that one.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis throws Zephyr a look, then bows her head to Ariel. "I will be waiting here for news of your victory." 6* She moves off into the castle.
* Megumi clears her throat as well.
<Megumi> We'll get'cha sister back.
<DeathStar> <Regent Zephyr> Let us start you off on your quest now. 6* She practically pushes the two out of the castle.
* Megumi glares back at Zephyr once they're out.
* Ariel doesn't need much encouragement to quickly vacate the castle and proceed towards town. "...what have I gotten myself into..." Or rather... what has she been gotten into. She looks up at the sky, praying the culprut would make themselves known.
<DeathStar> 6* It's a beautiful day.
* Megumi tags along behind Ariel. 1"Ohhh! Such a waste."
* Ariel glances at Megumi, "A waste?"
<Megumi> Zephyr's abs'lutely dreamy, but what's with that pissy attitude, right?
<Megumi> Damn nobles. Too bad she wasn't born a thatcher or somethin'.
* Ariel pauses, giving Megumi an odd look.
* Megumi stares sternly up at Ariel. 1"What?"
<Ariel> "I never believed I'd hear those words from you."
<Megumi> Unlike -you- I can't become a real knight, so what else do I have t'dream about. Don't give me that look.
* Ariel shakes her head, that wasn't really important. "We need to find the person behind all this."
<Megumi> So, why dont'cha start at the tradin' post?
<Megumi> Surely the Dark Knight ain't dumb 'nough to sell off the royal daughter at in-town undergrounds, but hey, y'might get lucky.
<DeathStar> 6* As they approach the secret slave trading post, they would find a man dressed in peasant clothing, trying to steal bread from a little kid. "Give 'ere, you little brat!"
* Ariel narrows her eyes, and walks up behind the man.
* Megumi wastes not words, she slams the big edge down into the cobblestones between the two. 1"Hey, hey, play nice now, y'ere?"
<DeathStar> 6* The kid kicks him in the knees, and runs off. The man stumbles, holding his knee, smelling like alcohol. Darien turns around, going pale. "I, uh..."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien rubs his hands together. "Right. I'll just be goin' then."
<Megumi> Aw, man. It's that strawsleeper 'gain!"
<Ariel> "Trying to steal food from a child is a bit low, isn't it?"
<Megumi> You're still gettin' t'trouble? C'mon man, get a day job.
<DeathStar> <Darien> I canna get a job, or I would. I try so hard...so hard...but I'm hungry. I'm wasting away. Take mercy on me, my lord
<DeathStar> 6* Darien falls to his knees, hugging Ariel's legs.
* Megumi steps on him a few times. 1"H-hey, get your lousy mitts. He's mine!"
<DeathStar> 6* Darien flails pathetically.
* Ariel blinks at that.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Forgiveness, please! Please! I did not mean to offend your woman!
* Megumi blinks as well.
<Megumi> Wh-what!?" 6Stomp. Stomp.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien flails more.
<Megumi> G'damn rat, how dare y'sinuate somethin' like that!
<DeathStar> 6 *Darien quivers. "Mercy, my lord, mercy!"
<Ariel> "Megumi, that will be enough."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien looks relieved, trembling.
* Megumi eyes Ariel, twitching visibly, but moves away, crossing her arms.
<DeathStar> <Darien> I will do anything for you, my lord. Ask, and I will do it!
<DeathStar> <Darien> If you need sexual favors, I know a place with whores!
<Ariel> "We're looking for the dark knight. Do you know anything of where to find him?"
* Megumi turns quickly and raises her foot at the mention of whores. 1"Y'bastard!"
<DeathStar> 6* DArien flails. "The Dark Knight? Y-Yes, I do! I do!"
<Ariel> "Then speak. Quickly, before she ends up hurting you."
<DeathStar> <Darien> *Stands up, rubbing his hands together nervously.* They say the dreaded Dark Knight is currently investigating his stock, if you get my meaning. 6* He laughs.
* Megumi grins widely.
<DeathStar> <Darien> I-I can get you inside, if you like!
<Megumi> Stock, eh...!? Heheheh.
* Megumi doesn't not have a pleasant smile.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien looks nervous again.
* Ariel gives Darien a nod. "Get us in there."
* Megumi turns and gapes at Ariel.
<Megumi> ...Can't I still hurt 'em?
<DeathStar> <Darien> O-Of course, my lord. But I might ask one favor, first? A pint of something to drink? It helps my confidence around crazy women.
<Ariel> "...not this time."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien eyes Megumi, tilting away.
* Megumi kicks a rock. 1"D-Damn it.."
* Ariel looks at Darien, "I think by the time I could get you a drink, she would have driven your face into the mud. We should hurry."
* Megumi cracks her knuckles. 1"Crazy woman, eh?"
<DeathStar> 6 *Darien wiggles his fingers in the air. "Right, my lord. Right right. Follow me, follow me." 6* He rubs his stomach hungerily.
<DeathStar> 6* Then sets off.
* Ariel follows after Darien

* Megumi eyes Ariel. 1"Then tell 'em to shut up.."
<DeathStar> 6* After a time, they arrive outside the trading post. Darien waves them to stand off to the side while he talks to a suspicious character outside the building. They appear to be talking, laughing a bit, and Darien motions at Megumi and Ariel during the conversation, the shady man looking them over.
<Megumi> I probably won't live t'be mid-twenty, y'know that. My looks are a sore point!
<DeathStar> 6* Darien rubs his hands together, glancing around, then waves them to him.
* Ariel heads over, trying to act a little more meek than usual, not wanting to draw attention.

<Drasek`> Come, then. *he says to Angela, taking her hand and moving for the stairs* Kill them. *he motions, moving upstairs*
<Megumi> Kill? What, we can't even see the real stuff?
<DeathStar> 6* The guards all draw their swords. "Kill the Knight and her squire!"
<Ariel> "...who was that?"
* Angela hesitantly stands, taking Drasek's lead, looking to the knight emploringly as she's taken.
<Megumi> ...Th'hell, Lordy. When'd you get so famous..?!
<Ariel> "As if I knew."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien ducks out, apparantly leaving this to them
<DeathStar> 6* And by duck out, he runs right up the stairs.
* Megumi leaps atop a table, throwing her 'blanket' off and heaving the giant edge over her head. She cackles like maniacally, definitely enjoying this sort of thing.
<DeathStar> 6* The archers just fire arrows at Megumi
* Ariel rolls her eyes. Right... by the script it seems. She throws off her disguise and draws her blade.
<Megumi> Oh sh--!" 6Ducks behind the edge as a shield.

<DeathStar> 6* The guards all rush in at Ariel, apparantly going for numbers.

* Ariel throws the blanket in the face of one of the guards, going to stab another.
* Angela watches for a moment before she's wisked up the stairs.
<DeathStar> 6* The guard is stabbed, gurgling up blood
<DeathStar> 6* More guards rush in whenever one dies. It appears the Dark Knight got them on sell
* Megumi slides behind another table, overturning it.
<Drasek`> 6*And by wisked, she means grabbed by the hair for being a slow bitch.
* Megumi begins hucking glasses, full or not at the archers while Ariel deals with the melees.

* Ariel brings her blade around quickly to slash another guard, before throwing him into a third. Mooks.
<DeathStar> 6* The guards let out painful, loud, screams, that just go on and on after they fall over
<DeathStar> 6* Four guards guarad the stairs to the second floor
* Ariel kicks one of the previous guards' blades up into her hand and moves towards the stairs.
<DeathStar> 6* One archer fires a flaming arrow at all the spilt alcohol around Megumi.
* Megumi hucks her edge at the archer, quickly vacating toward Ariel. 1"Oy, Lordy, give me a hike, will ye?"
<DeathStar> 6* Two guards rush at Ariel, trying to prevent her from picking on the four on the stairs.
* Ariel moves forward quickly, slashing one with each blade as she moves forward.

<DeathStar> 6* The four guards on the stairs try use their height advantage to slash down upon Ariel
* Megumi waits for Ariel to get close to the staircase guards, tossing one throwing knife from her boot at the leftmost, then slides between Ariel's legs, making obscene gestures at the remaining three. A distraction for Ariel.
* Ariel throws the guard's blade at one on on the stairs, moving up to slash the one beside her target as she retrieves it
<DeathStar> 6* The guard is knifed, falling over the staircase screaming. The other guards just use Megumi's entanglement to shove Ariel
* Megumi leans up and kicks one between the legs then before scurrying off. Steel-toed boots.

<DeathStar> 6* The remaining guards flee. They ain't paid enough for this shit
* Ariel looks to Megumi, and hurries up the stairs.
<DeathStar> 6* They would find huge locked doors at the end of the hallway
* Angela cries out from behind one of those doors. "N-No!"
* Megumi having retrieved her beloved... thing of breaking stuff, hefts it over her shoulder.

* Ariel decides to take this moment to see if she's still capible of firing a weak plasma blast at the door.

* Megumi takes a few paces back, spits into her hands and rubs them together, then grips the "hilt" of the edge and charges, cackling before thrusting the blade into the center of the doors.

<DeathStar> 6* and break open. Inside, they can see Darien with his pants down, towering over a mostly naked Angela, on top of a fancy bed. He looks up in surprise.

* Drasek` sits on his noble steed, a strong black horse. He smiles, holding up a middle finger. "Sorry, Mate." He whips the horse and streaks off.
* Ariel thinks this is a bloody weird purpose for a staircase.

<DeathStar> 6* And so, our heroes rode out to the Dark Castle of the Dark Knight. Darien rides on the last horse, his arms tied up to his side

* Megumi grunts and points more, but just manages. "Pain! Much pain!" at Angela.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Then why am I tied up?
<Angela> "Apparently you might violate my virtures otherwise."
<Megumi> What virtues?
* Angela rides hanging off Ariel. Ignoring Megumi.
* Ariel keeps quiet during all this.
<DeathStar> 6* Up ahead, they can see the Dark Castle.
<Megumi> I better get t'see Zephyr after this.
<Angela> "There it is!" *she points out*

* Megumi nods, confirmed, laughing suddenly.

* Drasek` sighs. "Motherfucker." He points to Ariel. "Fine. I give you the little bitch, and you give me the whore. Maybe the drunk, no keep the drunk, I just want the whore."

* Ariel looks at Angela.

* Megumi waves over her shoulder, guiding her pony after Ariel.

<DeathStar> 6* Darien walks along, whistling.
* Ariel helps Aya down before dismounting herself.

* Megumi checks Zephyr's out from behind, but makes sure to let Ariel and Aya go first.

<DeathStar> 6* Regent Zephyr sighs, then motions for Megumi and the hobo to follow her.
* Chad`Winters watches the Princess walks Ariel off
<DeathStar> 6* Princess Aya crosses her arms. "Oooooo!" 6* She stomps her foot and breaks a vase.
* Megumi gets her fit under control, frowning, then pulls a cloth from beneath her robes, apparently prepared for this sort of thing and cleans her hand, following Zephyr.
* Chad`Winters sits back down and rubs this forehead. He looks over at one of his guards. 1"Please clean up the mess."

* Ariel stands and moves to follow Erevis, "I am sorry that I could not bring that criminal to justice this time."

* Megumi watches her go, careening her way, then swoons and heads for the castle gates.

<DeathStar> <Darien> These cookies are good. 6* He eats another one, walking past Ariel's apartment. Zephyr is carrying a sleeping Aya.
* Ariel eyes the cat a moment, then rubs her head and sits up. "......"
<DeathStar> 6* Was it nothing more than a dream?
* Angela giggles, watching them go from her door. "Get rest you guys!"
* Drasek` can be heard cursing after the sound of bottles clatter about, "Son of a bitch!"
* Ariel checks to make sure that she, is in fact, female
<DeathStar> 6* No penis. However, Ariel finds something in her pocket.
<Angela> "Hey clean those up, do I look like your slave Dras?"
* Chad`Winters steps outside, his arms to his side.
* Ariel is a little surprised, and checks the pocket.

* Chad`Winters stands on the third floor, punching away at a bag.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr shouts out. "Chad, I heard some strange noises in your apartment!"
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis stands beside Chad, watching him punch the bag, her head tilted.
<Kit> 6Megumi moves away from the door and gravitates around the couch, peering at Zephyr intently.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr glances at Megumi oddly. "What?"
* Chad`Winters steps back and wipes some sweat from his brow.
* Kit shakes her head, then looks to the door curiously.
* Kit is now known as Megumi

<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr listens for the sound of Chad coming down.
* Chad`Winters glances at the floor as is studying something.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> The lines in the floor are the same as they were 20 minutes ago
<Chad`Winters> But this time I'm not on the floor tracing them. 6He nods to him as if satisfied

* Megumi moves and sits on the opposite side of the couch, swinging her feet.
* Chad`Winters looks at Erevis than out at the door.

<Chad`Winters> Wonder what that's about. 6He moves out of the room and down the stairs
* Megumi continues to kick her feet, eyes closed, bracing her hands at her sides as she leans forward.

* Chad`Winters steps onto the main floor, he looks over at Zephyr. 1"Did you say something?"
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> I think Aya's dog is eating your stuff. 6* She motions at his apartment.
* Chad`Winters pinches the bridge of his nose and he moves over to his door and reaches out to the grab the door

<DeathStar> 6* Erevis follows along after him, not hearing anything herself.

* Megumi peers over her shoulder, opening her eyes slightly.
<DeathStar> 6* As Chad opens the door, a bucket falls down, pouring sticky things all over him, and then catnip comes falling down in a puff, landing on the sticky substance and coating him. Erevis sneezes iboently.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr grabs the cushion Megumi is on and flings her toward Chad.
* Chad`Winters just stands there, covered in sticky catnip.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis keeps sneezing, not offering much in the way of words.
* Megumi blinks blankly as she's vaulted toward Chad of all people.
<DeathStar> 6* Robo Dog yips.
* Chad`Winters sidesteps, letting Megumi slam into wall or something.
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Chad! Are you okay?! 6* She leans over the couch, staring in horror.
* Megumi flies right into Chad's room, since, you know, he was in a doorway.
* Chad`Winters slowly turns to look at Zephyr. 1"It appears someone booby trapped my door."

<DeathStar> 6* Erevis finally stops sneezing.
<Chad`Winters> Why would you blame the dog? 6He blinks at Zephyr

* Megumi flops over, having rolled along the floor. She sneezes, falling end over end a few more times.

* Chad`Winters eyes his hand as sticky stuff slowly drips off.

* Megumi hops to her feet-- and her hands-- her tail twitching as she staggers slightly, then sneezes again. Her manifest makes sure to absolve the order of some things in the room.
<Chad`Winters> Erevis. May I use your shower? 6He looks at her.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> *tilts her head* There is a malfuction in your shower?
<Chad`Winters> Most likely.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Yes. You may do so.
* Chad`Winters nods to her and he moves off to her apartment to shower it off.
* Megumi sneezes again, blowing the bed out of order, tumbling some more. She hops up, giggling, then spots Erevis and begins scampering toward her, laughing.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis watches him go, then looks back at Megumi.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Perhaps you should shower as well.
* Megumi leaps at Erevis. 1"Nyee heee!"
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis is leapt at, and falls back onto the floor.
* Megumi bites at the neckline of her clothing and yanks it vigorously.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis forces herself to stop from pushing Megumi off. "You are biting my clothes."
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr takes her camera and sneaks into Erevis' bedroom.
* Megumi squints at Erevis, then leaps over her head and charges toward Zephyr after seeing something shiney.
* Chad`Winters moves into the bathroom and turns the shower on and begins to undress slowly because of all the stickyness
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr doesn't notice Megumi, stepping inside.
* Megumi leaps at her.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr is tackled, and goes stumbling into the bathroom, landing in the shower.
* Chad`Winters looks down at Zephyr and Megumi. He quickly grabs a towel and wraps it around his waist
* Megumi chews on Zephyr's collar.
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> What the hell are you doing?! OH GOD SHE'S BITING ME! 6* She hits Megumi with her camera.
* Megumi jerks back and hisses, then bites the camera.

* Chad`Winters just stares at the two, wearing only the towel around his waist
* Megumi howls and staggers back, then lunges again blindly.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr twists to the side to avoid her.
* Megumi misses, hits the side of the shower and repels off toward Zephyr, her crystal tail swishing playfully. 1"Mrooww!"
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr stumbles backwards - into Chad.
* Chad`Winters shifts Zephyr to the side and he raises his foot into Megumis face and plants her to the floor.
* Megumi howls in irritation at the floor, her tail reaching up and coiling around the ankle, yanking.
* Chad`Winters eyes the tail tugging at his ankle.
<Megumi> Hsssth!
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> She's gone mad!
<Chad`Winters> A pity I do not know enough about Famfrit neurology. 6He crosses his arms now.

<Chad`Winters> Turn the shower on cold.

* Chad`Winters shifts his foot around and he uses it to toss Megumi into the cold shower. He then reaches over and shuts the door.
* Megumi flails and seems to randomly bounce into various points of the shower, then settles and after a moment, shrieks ear-piercingly.
* Chad`Winters winces as he rubs his ears.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr recoils.
* Megumi sniffles quietly inside, backing up against the door.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis busts open the door to find out what's wrong.
<Chad`Winters> Care to explain why you were outside the bathroom with a camera? 6He looks over at Zephyr now

* Chad`Winters just shakes his head. He looks at Erevis. His foot pressed against the shower door.

<Chad`Winters> Quickest way to sober up. 6He notes to Erevis
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Please release Megumi Zhenmei.
* Chad`Winters takes his foot off the shower door.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis opens the shower door.
* Megumi falls out backwards, tripping over the water gate
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis stares down, then holds out a towel to her.
* Megumi hangs her head like she did something wrong and disrobes herself of her kimono and undergarments to dry off.
* Chad`Winters groans and looks up at the cieling
<DeathStar> 6* However, if Megumi uses her eyes, she'll see more of the male penis than she has ever before.

* Chad`Winters grunts again in response. He grabs a second towel and starts wiping off excess sticky

* Chad`Winters turns the shower onto hot and steps in.
* Megumi shakes her head. 1"I blanked out."

* Megumi turns around and makes for the bed, setting down with a huff.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis puts an arm around Megumi, bringing her closer against herself. "What can I do to make you happy?"
* Chad`Winters steps out of the bathroom, his medium length hair soaking wet and dripping. A towel wrapped around his waist.

<Chad`Winters> I'm good. Thank you Erevis. 6He nods to her and moves for the door
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis nods once, turning to focus on the pouting Megumi again. Outside, Zephyr is hiding behind the couch
* Megumi wraps her arms around Erevis and leans up to kiss her. 1"...I am just a little sad that I am such a nuissance."

* Chad`Winters moves right into his room.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr sighs in relief.
<Megumi> I know I can be... especially with my instabilities. I am sure I make it difficult to achieve our ends, eventually, as well, because I am stubborn.

* Megumi blinks and leans back a bit.

<Megumi> Not I.
* Megumi moves over to the bed and sits, then lies back.

<Megumi> Mmh.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Perhaps that is why you lost. One must always expect victory.
* Megumi turns slightly to Erevis. 1"...This is not exactly about winning or anything, Beloved."

* Angela looks satisifed and sets a timer, putting it in her pocket before working her way to the third floor.
* Chad`Winters punches against the bag, sticking strictly with a boxing form
* Angela walks in, watching him punch, crossing her arms and remaining silent.
* Chad`Winters throws several uppercuts into the bag, sweat finally showing up on his brow

* Chad`Winters pushes off the bag, he lets out a breathe then moves back in. Throwing several more combo's into it
* Angela tilts her head as though analysing his combos, though whether it's him she's watchign or his movements is impossible to tell.
* Chad`Winters doesn't seem to be doing anything fancy. His attacks seem to be very rhythmic and precise
* Angela eyes the timer, still plenty of time, and leans against the wall.
* Chad`Winters slams his left fist into the bag, sending it rocking back.
<Angela> "Damn you're strong."
* Chad`Winters opens his fists and grabs the bag as it comes back, using his arm to slow it to a stop.
* Chad`Winters turns to eye Angela he just clicks his tongue in response.
* Angela smiles softly.
<Angela> "What? It's called a compliment."
<Chad`Winters> You're still naive.
<Angela> "Yes I am... I guess."
<Angela> "What am I being naive about this time?"
* Chad`Winters just grunts in response. He turns back to the bag and steping into it with his right foot and throwing his left fist into it. It rocks back again.
* Angela shrugs and stands up straight, checking her timer.
<Chad`Winters> You assume strength is the only determiner in a fight.
<Angela> "I'm still unused to lacking it."
* Angela looks away from him, staring at a wall.
<Angela> "If I knew another way, I'd use it you know."
* Chad`Winters just clicks his tongue in response. He moves over and grabs a towel and wipes his forehead with it.
<Angela> "What would you propose I do or learn?"
<Chad`Winters> Why should I care what you do? 6He throws the towel over his shoulder.
* Angela shrugs. "I don't know why you should."
<Angela> "You're so keen to point out flaws however, I was just hoping you'd be equally as keen with suggestions."
<Chad`Winters> Flaws are easy to point out, suggestions are more difficult.
* Angela nods, "Then would you please consider helping me?"
<Chad`Winters> Learn to help yourself. 6He crosses his arms.
<Angela> "We went through that one already, here I need help."
<Chad`Winters> Maybe your not meant to be strong.
* Angela smiles weakly, "I don't... want to be... I just want to live through this."
* Chad`Winters clicks his tongue. 1"And that's why you're weak Angela."
* Angela sighs, running a hand through her hair.
<Angela> "Chad..."
<Angela> "Please help me out?"
<Chad`Winters> Some people just can't be helped. 6He steps away from the punching bag and begins moving towards the stairs
<Angela> "Stop it... I can be."
* Chad`Winters rolls his eyes and doesn't stop moving.
* Angela looks at him. "You say strength isn't everything, but then take the acceptance that I'm not strong as a sign of weakness."
<Angela> "That's kinda mean."
<Chad`Winters> It's the fact that I have to explain what I meant to you that makes you impossible to help.
<Angela> "Your logic isn't always that clear Chad."
<Chad`Winters> You assume that the stronger opponent will always win. 6He moves into the stair well.
* Angela follows after him. "No, I simply assume I'm not the stronger opponent. But I'm not used to fighting with my speed or wits either... that's what I'm asking for help in."
<Chad`Winters> Trust me, you don't have to tell me about the lack of wits or intelligence part.
* Angela stops, glaring at him.
<Angela> "Why are you always like this with me?"
* Chad`Winters lets her glare at the back of his head.
<Angela> "I only ever try to be your friend, to care, and you're always this... repulsed with me."
<Chad`Winters> Repulsed would mean I'd have feelings towards you. I prefer the term annoyed.
* Chad`Winters steps onto the 1st floor
<Angela> "Well you sure let me easily get under your skin for someone who doesn't care."
<Chad`Winters> I blame your uneven hair.
* Angela sighs, messing with it unconciously. "I guess what frustrates me is I don't even know why you've always been like this towards me."
<Chad`Winters> You've been a unknown factor in everything Angela. You're past has certainly made this clear.
* Angela looks at him seriously, "And you think I'll be an unknown factor between Legion and Dark Ones?"
* Chad`Winters stops finally. 1"I know where your gonna go with this one I'll save you a step. No."
<Angela> "Well thank God for that."
<Chad`Winters> The no was to your follow-up question after I would've stated yes to your previous. God, I wasn't even able to skip a step. 6He just shakes his head at himself
* Angela sighs.
<Chad`Winters> Why should I put any interest in someone who can't even decide what they want in life. It's irrational and makes little sense.
* Angela just shakes her head. "You're right, I don't know why I would even dream of coming to you for help."
* Angela pulls out the time. "Dinner's ready in about 15."
* Angela turns and heads for her door.
<Chad`Winters> Finally a rational statement.
* Angela doesn't even respond, opening her door and stepping in.
* Chad`Winters moves off to his apartment.
* Angela closes her door and checks the roast, sighing softly. "Sometimes you just need to stop looking behind you."
