* Ire leans back in his seat, tapping the steering wheel.
* Dahok opens up the glove box and looks inside
<Ire> GM: *a handgun is inside. Plasma rounds*
* Dahok pulls out the hand gun and the plasma rounds
<Dahok> Score!

<Dahok> Ire, how's this load?
<Silouette> ......
<Ire> Lets try to cover as much of the complex as we can before this supply goes noticed. We'll have to hope Pope can cover his end. *grabs the gun and plasma round and slaps it into the handgun and hands it back*
<Dahok> Thanks! *puts it in the uniforms holster*
* Ire opens the car door and steps out. He adjusts the hat and with his grim look, he seems to fit right in on this complex.
* Dahok pops out of the door and stands upright
* Silouette puts the tarp back over the supplies, then closes the jeep doors.
<Dahok> So what did we decide to do?
<Ire> NRP: *meanwhile, Pope is drunk off his ass, entertaining hookers*
<Dahok> NRP: *replaces Hookers with the homeless*
* Ire glances up directly above them where the barrell of the giant cannon emerges from the mountain side. He glances at Dahok, raises his eyebrow, then looks around. Several buildings are around the area, but the main one seems to be at the foot of the mountain itself, possibly built into it. He begins to head in that direction.
* Dahok follows alongside Ire, keeping pace
<Ire> GM: *a couple of Siberian soldiers approach the group, talking among themselves*
* Silouette keeps up the others, just being casual
<Ire> GM: *the group of soldiers passes them, never giving them more than a quick glance as they go about their duty.*
<Ire> GM: *after a quick walk, they arrive at the entrance to the main base. A card reader is outside the door on the wall*
* Dahok pulls out his ID card and looks at the back side to see if it has a bar on it
<Ire> GM: *it does*
* Dahok flicks his card around and moves to slide it through the card reader
<Ire> GM: *a red light appears and the machine seems to be processing.*
<Dahok> NRP: HAH! I never actually slid it through.
<Ire> GM: That's why it's red.
* Dahok looks over at Ire waiting for his approval
* Ire nods once.
* Dahok slides it through the reader
<Ire> GM: *it beeps, then the light turns green. The sound of the door unlocking is heard*
* Ire gestures at Dahok to open the door.
* Dahok reaches to the door and pulls it open
<Ire> GM: *The inside of a white hallway is seen, that stretches someways to another door. Beside the door, on the wall, seems to be a glass window, but from this angle the three can't see inside it*
* Dahok holds the door open for the other two
* Silouette glances at Ire
* Ire nods to Sil
* Silouette heads in
* Ire follows Sil.
* Dahok heads in behind the two
<Ire> GM: *Sil reaches the glass window first and can see inside it. A guard is there with several monitors from cameras through out the building. One camera is focused in on the hallway at the group. Smile, you're on TV! The guard barely gives them a glance. Sil, being in the lead, is also the first to reach the door, which has a simple handle to open*
* Silouette nods to the glass, and opens the other door, stepping through
* Ire barely glances at the guy, moving past. They are now in a hallway that branches off left, right, and ahead, with several rooms lined out. Glancing at stuff on the doors, it seems to be offices*
* Dahok nods to the glass and follows after
* Ire stands there, glancing around.
<Ire> We need to head up, obviously. Lets search for an elevator.
* Dahok sniffs the air
<Silouette> ...don't tell me you can SMELL the elevator?
* Ire glances at Dahok.
* Dahok looks at her with a look of confusion
<Dahok> Thought I smelt something familiar.
<Ire> Lets move forward. That leads deeper into the mountain and the most probable place for the elevator at this point.
* Silouette nods, and starts heading in
* Ire walks forward, passing the various doors. He glances at Sil in her guard uniform, nodding approvingly at the work she did on it, then glances at Dahok.
* Dahok follows behind Ire
<Ire> GM: *sure enough, what seems to be elevators is ahead. However, another card reader is next to the doors*
<Silouette> ...some days, I think the people that design underground bunkers are paranoid
* Silouette glances to make sure a specific access level isn't required
<Ire> GM: *it doesn't indicate it. But it's a probable*
* Dahok looks at Ire, who obviously has the higher rank card
* Ire reaches into his pocket and produces the card. He reaches out and runs it through the card reader. It flicks green a moment later and the elevator doors open*
<Ire> In.
* Ire steps inside the elevator.
* Silouette steps on
* Dahok steps on
<Ire> GM: *there seems to be 30 different floors to choose from, with the team currently on the first floor.*
* Silouette trys to estimate how far up the gun looked
<Ire> GM: *probably anywhere from Floor 27-Floor 30*
<Ire> What do you suggest?
* Silouette randomly presses 28
<Ire> GM: *the elevator begins to move up*
* Ire shifts in the elevator, brooding.
<Silouette> ...what's up boss?
<Ire> Mmm, nothing. *rubs his face*
* Dahok checks to see what his name is supposed to be
<Ire> GM: *Borris*
<Silouette> NRP: I'd be disturbed if my ID said Natasha
<Ire> NRP: It does.
<Dahok> NRP: It's Bob.
<Garland> NRP: GM: Sil's reads *George*
<Silouette> NRP: ...the guy's name was Natasha?
<Ire> NRP: Yep.
<Silouette> NRP: ......
<Silouette> NRP: *is disturbed*
<Silouette> ...yeah, right.
<Ire> GM: *the elevator doors open. They seem to be in a large room with tons of crates and boxes, with tons of the nuclear canisters laying around, discarded and without thought*
<Silouette> ....28th floor, safety hazzards and nuclear supplies.
<Ire> It seems so.
<Dahok> Drop off a present?
* Ire looks at Dahok.
<Ire> With nuclear material in here?
* Dahok shrugs
* Ire frowns, as if thinking
<Silouette> ...let's find out our options first.
<Ire> I'd like to find another alternative. *steps back into the elevator, pressing button 29. Nothing happens. He pushes button 30. Nothing*
* Dahok looks at him
* Silouette trys 29
<Ire> GM: *it doesn't respond*
<Silouette> ...maybe this is as high as it goes.
<Silouette> ...27?
* Ire taps the 27th button. The elevator jerks and moves downward. The doors open up and another room, similiar to 28, is there
<Silouette> ...your authorization is denied.
<Dahok> They sure have a lot of...hazardous waste.
<Dahok> This cannon can't be good.
<Ire> Yes, it seems we can't go higher than we can with my ID card.
<Dahok> Then we need to find a better ID Card.
<Silouette> NRP: Is there a card reader in the elevator?
<Ire> NRP: Strangely, no!
<Silouette> ...'Boris', try yours?
* Dahok steps outside and looks for a Card Reader
<Ire> GM: *there is no card reader there, either. How odd...*
* Ire bends down and begins to examine the buttons.
* Dahok steps inside
* Ire rubs button 29 and 30, then another button
<Ire> The texture is different on these.
<Dahok> How so?
* Ire stands up, trying to look unconcerned. He's probably baffled.
* Dahok slides over to the buttons and sniffs them
* Ire glances at Dahok, then at Sil.
<Ire> Fyro, what are you doing?
<Dahok> I think these buttons might read thumbprints.
<Ire> ....a possibility.
<Dahok> If that's true...then there's probably only certain thumbprints that'll work.
<Ire> True. How do we go about getting said thumb print? Or can you sniff that out, too?
<Dahok> Sniff? It was a lucky guess.
* Ire facepalms.
* Ire looks up at the top of the elevator. He looks for a way up on top.
<Ire> GM: *suddenly, on a voice speaker* Voice: This is President Bulshavek Mikhalkovich. We have reason to believe there are intruders on the compound. Shut down all levels of work and prepare for a floor by foor security check.
<Dahok> ...Hey we gotta two for one special here.
<Ire> ....
<Ire> Quick than I expected. *hops up onto a handrail and balances against the wall, using his handgun to beat on the roof of the elevator*
* Dahok leaps up onto a handrail, and rebounds, slamming his back up against the roof of the elevator
<Ire> GM: *Looks painful. And it is. Congrats*
<Ire> Sil, can I hold your sword for a moment. *holds out his hand*
* Dahok drops onto his knees
<Dahok> Oww....
<Ire> GM: *the elevator jerks, moving downward. It seems it's being called back to the first floor*
* Ire closes his hand into a fist, frowning. He takes his gun and aims it at the roof, firing at one spot, burning a hole through.
* Dahok pushes himself up
* Ire keeps firing. He then takes the gun and hammerblows the damaged roof.
<Ire> GM: *they're at floor 18 now*
* Dahok looks up
* Ire finally makes a hole with ragged, sharp edges. He pulls himself up, slicing his hands and arms in the process as he pulls himself up onto the roof of the elevator.
* Dahok grabs Sil and hoists her up for Ire to grab
* Ire reaches down and grabs Sil, his bloody hands making it hard to grip her's. He yanks her up through the hole and onto his shoulder.
<Ire> GM: *floor 12*
* Dahok leaps up and grabs onto the sides of the hole, his hands digging into the ragged sharp edges
* Dahok starts pulling himself up
* Ire rips off jacket, wrapping it around his hands. He grips the elevator cable, aiming his gun at the part connecting the elevator.
* Dahok pulls himself up and over, his hands dripping with blood
* Ire waits for Dahok. Floor 7 now*
* Dahok pulls off his jacket and wraps it around his hands, he then grabs onto the cable
* Dahok looks at Ire and nods
<Dahok> NRP: Ire: There is no spoon...
* Ire fires, blowing the cable loose from the elevator. The elevator plummets downward, crashing and the two go shooting upwards on the cable as it jerks them at high velocities towards the upper shaft.
<Ire> GM: *the ceiling is getting closer now as the two wildly go flying up to meet it in a fancy flight*
<Ire> GM: *then a sudden jerking stop as they reach floor 24, sending them bouncing up to floor 25, then back down*
* Ire hangs onto the couple, wincing as he dangles.
* Dahok slides down from the wiggling and hangs below Ire
<Dahok> Guess it's time to climb...
* Ire swings and grabs the side of the elevator shaft, the smoking jacket piece floatign downward as his exposed hands try to grip the sides. He climbs, making sure to keep Sil secure on his shoulder.
* Dahok just climbs up the cable
<Ire> GM: *the two's climb is a long, hard battle up 7 floors. A sense of friendship blooms as the two endure the struggles and face the odds. Okay, actually, Ire never speaks once and just grunts until they reach Floor 29*
* Dahok sneezes
* Ire rests, leaning against the door frame.
* Ire glances at Sil, who looks wide awake, but is just not responding, then at Dahok.
<Ire> Must be a side affect.
<Dahok> Side effect?
<Ire> Yeah. Of the process. *grabs the elevator doors, trying to pry them open*
* Ire loses a grip. He wipes his bloody hands on his uniform, then tries again
<Dahok> Ooook. *swings over to Ire and grabs onto the wall, he then grabs onto the door and tries to open it alongside IRe
<Ire> GM: *they manage. Voices drift in and the sounds of several computers.*
* Dahok looks over at Ire
* Ire readjusts Sil on his shoulder, seeming to be perfectly calm with a comatosed dead girl on his shoulder.
<Dahok> NRP: Ire: Last time this happened, I was having sex with a girl...
* Dahok pulls the gun from it's holster and holds it up
* Ire glances inside. It seems to be a giant room, probably spanning both 29 and 30 above it. This is definitely the control room for the cannon. Scientists and engineers run around as the room is full of computers and switches. Directly above is a private area, which is probably where Floor 30 leads. No doubt high ranking military generals watch the proceedings from there*
<Ire> GM: *on one wall is a picture of a missile, nuclear no doubt, with the various parts in it. It seems this cannon fires nuclear missiles with guidance controls on them. From their vantage point in the elevator, though, it's hard to make out more than that*
<Dahok> *whispers* Got a grenade?
<Ire> ...going in there would be suicide. *leans back into the elevator shaft, glancing up at Floor 30, then noticing at hatch above that on the elevator shaft roof.* I'm going to check it out. Hold Sil. *hands her over to Dahok, then begins to climb*
* Dahok holds onto her
* Ire reaches the hatch, yanking it open. He spots a ladder inside.
<Ire> This seems to lead up higher. It might be lead us to a better point to disable the cannon.
<Dahok> Sounds like a plan...*begins climbing up with Sil over his shoulder*
* Silouette snaps out of her trance, and suddenly realizes she's being carried
* Ire grabs the ladder and begins to climb up the tiny hatch, which leads him up higher and higher until he reaches another floor, probably a maintainance floor. He pulls himself up in it, having to duck low since it's built small. Literally, mountain rock makes up the walls and roof.
* Ire glances at his bloody hands, ripping off some of his uniform to wrap around the wounds. He tightens the bandage up as he waits for Dahok to arrive with Sil.
* Dahok reaches the ladder and begins climbing up, slowly tho
* Ire leads down the ladder opening, waiting for Dahok to get closer.
<Ire> Hand me Silouette.
* Dahok locks his legs into the ladder and tenses his legs, he then pushes Sil up to Ire
<Silouette> ......
* Ire wraps his around around Sil, hauling her up by the waist. Once he reaches the top, he puts her back on his shoulder.
* Dahok begins climbing up after Sil
<Silouette> ...there's more dignified ways you know.
* Ire pauses, then tilts his head to look at Sil.
* Ire shifts his weight, setting Sil back down on her feet.
<Ire> Are you alright?
* Dahok reaches the top
* Silouette nods slowly.
<Silouette> ...I... think so.
<Ire> GM: *the hatch falls on Dahok's head as he arrives*
* Dahok falls back with the hatch, but quickly locks his legs around a step, slamming full back and banging his head against the ladder
<Dahok> ARRRGH!!!
* Ire stares at the scene.
* Dahok moves his hands to his head as he tries to regain his composure.
<Silouette> ...that... sounded painful.
* Ire grunts.
* Dahok waves his hands around and grabs onto a step, pulling himself upright, he slowly climbs up again, his head bobbing around
<Silouette> .....I'd explain what happened, but I really don't know...
* Ire coughs, then begins to move down the maintainance hallway. Both of them seem to be experiencing problems right now.
* Dahok finally pulls himself into the maintainance hallway and walks after them, one hand rubbing his head
* Silouette follows after Ire in silence.
* Ire keeps ducked low, as not to hit his head.
* Dahok pops his head up and walks forward
<Ire> GM: *WHAM. DAhok hit his head on the low rock roof*
* Dahok 's head slams back as his head boucnes off the rock
<Ire> ....
* Ire turns to look at Dahok again.
<Dahok> SON OF A....*grabs the front of his head and squats down, rubbing it furiously*
* Ire sighs, turning back and walking down. Up ahead is a bright light. As they get closer, it's obvious it's outside, as cold wind is blowing in
* Dahok follows after them, this time crouching as he walks
* Ire emerges through the hole and stops, right at the edge. It would suck if someone ran int ohim.
* Ire looks around, realizing how high up the mountain side they are. Infact, the cannon should be ... He glances down, spotting the cannon just below him and to the side.
* Dahok slides to a halt behind the two
<Ire> We seem to be just above the cannon now.
* Silouette nods
* Ire shifts to the side of the edge, keeping his balance until he reaches a ladder, climbing down it to reach the surface of the cannon. He walks along it.
* Dahok follows right behiond the two, keeping close to the walkway
* Silouette moves carefully... falling almost 30 stories isn't her idea of fun
<Ire> If we can destroy this structure, we should be able to stop this thing.
<Dahok> Then, let's do so...*Rubs his head again*
* Ire walks along the edge of the cannon until he reaches the end, bending over to look inside the barrell of it.
<Ire> Alright, I'll plant some explosives. You two wait here for me. *grabs the edge and swings himself over, vanishing from sight*
* Dahok stops and waits
* Silouette waits, keeping an eye on Ire
<Ire> GM: *suddenly, alarms begin to sound off from down below at the mountain base. Seems to be a lot of commotion going on - maybe they figured out what happened with the elevator?*
<Dahok> ahhh...crap.
<Silouette> ..just our luck
<Ire> GM: *the sound of a helicopter starting up below. A few moments later, indeed, an old fashion helicopter is lifting up, heading up towards them*
<Silouette> ...warn Ire, then get to cover...
<Dahok> IRE! WE'VE GOT INCOMING!
* Silouette steps back into the shadows of the hallway
* Ire reappears, pulling himself back up onto the cannon. As he finishes and stands, the helicopter is then on par. Inside is their target: Bulshavek Mikhalkovich
* Dahok pulls his pistol out and aims at the helicoptor
<Ire> GM: *behind Sil, sounds of soldiers marching her way is heard. It seems the cannon area is about to be flooded by soldiers. The only safe place now IS the cannon*
<Ire> GM: *The helicopter begins to pull away.*
<Dahok> Ire, can you take a shot at that coptor and get rid of it?
<Ire> ... *gets a running start across the cannon, heading towards the helicopter*
<Ire> We have to question him! Move, now!
* Dahok leaps down to the cannon and hits it, sliding slightly
* Silouette moves back out, and sees the helicopter. She makes an attempt to grapple it before it's out of range
* Ire leaps off the side of the cannon, doing hangtime until he roughly slams into the underside of the helicopter, swinging back and forth as he hangs on.
<Ire> GM: *Sil succeeds*
* Dahok begins sprinting behind Ire
<Ire> GM: *soldiers begin to pour out onto the cannon, firing at Dahok*
<Ire> GM: *the helicopter starts to pull away from the cannon. Dahok has a small window left to him...*
* Dahok reaches the end and leaps, aiming for the helicoptors rungs
<Ire> GM: *Dahok's bad luck gets in the way. He's not going to make the rung...he's just a foot short...until...*
* Ire grabs Dahok's hand as he falls past, hanging onto the rung himself.
* Dahok swings, holding onto Ire's hand
* Dahok looks up at him
<Dahok> Thanks...
* Silouette pulls herself in, looping her legs over the rung. She grabs Dahok's other hand and pulls him up
* Dahok grabs onto the rung and holds on
<Ire> GM: *the helicopter is now rapidly moving away from the cannon. Now they're no longer over the base, but a snowfield. But, as luck would have it, at that moment, the cannon explodes, sending a powerful shockwave that hits the helicopter hard, knocking all three right off the rungs...and sending them freefalling through the air*
<Dahok> Thanks both of you.
* Silouette swings around and tries to grapple the helicopter again... Falling isn't her idea of fun right now.
<Ire> GM: *Sil misses...now as the three fall, they rapidly begin to head towards the incoming ground. Life is a bitch sometimes.*
