<Ire> GM: *The team, having taken the long way to the supposed location of the Paradise program, according to Slasher, has been moving during the day and sleeping at night, hoping to reach the area unnoticed by Chip. So far, they have done so...*
* Ire sits in the back of the hovertank, letting Dahok and Junior pilot it.
* Junior sits back in the seat, his hands tapping the controls to adjust the direction as necessary.

<Junior> All I know is that if Chip gets ahold of Paradise, a lot of people may not like what their homes become, and the people who are a part of the simulation will just become agents of Chip.

* Ire glances at Dahok.
* Dahok starts to slow the tank down

* Kio looks out from the tank

* Slasher walks over to the screen

* DeathStar turns to face the hovertank finally, his blue eyes focusing on it.
* Dahok keeps the tank going towards the figure and slows it to a stop next to it

* Slasher laughs, as he pats DS on the back
* Kio steps out after the group before glancing out at the mountains silently

* DeathStar grows distant, glancing at the mountain.
* Slasher glances at DS for less than a second

* Dahok kneels down and plants his hand against the ground

* Dahok runs his hands through the cold dirt, trying to get more information
* Slasher types on his datapad, his hands moving at a feverious fate
<Ire> GM: *Dahok can sense an entrance in the ground right under them*
* Dahok looks around
* Ire begins to move toward the mountain.
* Junior moves with Ire.
<Dahok> Wait...
<DeathStar> Wait. *turns to Ire and Junior, but stops*
* DeathStar glances at Dahok appraisingly.
* Ire looks over his shoulder.
* Junior looks to DS over his shoulder.
* Dahok starts swiping away dirt with his hand
<Ire> GM: *after some wiping, Dahok sees metal*
<DeathStar> Your friend has found a back way in.
<Dahok> Here...*looks around for a way to open it*

* Dahok looks up at DS, then backs away from it
* DeathStar steps up to the metal, his hand glowing purple. He punches through it, bending the metal in, then yanks his arm out. Stepping back, he stomps down with his right boot and sends it crashing down an abandoned elevator shaft.
* Ire looks at the shaft.
* Slasher looks up at DS, a look of concern appears on his face for a second
* Kio looks down 14"Interesting.."
<Slasher> Good show Star.
<DeathStar> Nh. *steps back, holding his hand*
<DeathStar> I'll wait here. Good luck.
* Junior glances to DS, his hands still in his pockets.
<Junior> Why?
<DeathStar> Why what? *glances at Junior*
<Junior> Why won't you go down with us?
<DeathStar> Heh. Fighting isn't my thing.
* Slasher looks at Jr.
<Slasher> We should get going Jr.
* Junior glances to the remains of the door and back. He looks a bit disappointed.
* Ire pulls out some rope and throws it down.
* Kio sighs as he watches the happenings
* Slasher pulls out a tiny cd and hands it to DS
* Junior doesn't move forward at all, he narrows his eyes to DS.
* DeathStar pauses, then takes the CD.
<Junior> If this is Paradise and we're supposedly getting here before Chip, what would we be fighting?
<Slasher> This is a beta-version of the virus I just got done with...If we don't make it out...Well...
<DeathStar> I never said you beat Chip here.
<Junior> ...
<Slasher> NRP: BRB
* Ire stiffens.
<Kio> 14"Figures..nothings ever easy"
<Ire> ...we have to be even more careful.
<Ire> GM: *the entire area rumbles briefly, then stops*
* Junior looks distrusting of DS now.
<Kio> 14"I wish for the day we walk into the enemies hide out..and the guards drop their ground and play dead.."
* DeathStar looks around, his eyes narrowed, as if he's sensing something.
<Kio> *to the*
* Ire finishes with the rope.
<Slasher> Guys, we need to hurry now.
<Ire> Earthquake...?
* Dahok quickly touches the ground
<Slasher> *goes back to typing on his datapad*
* Ire puts on his gloves so the rope doesn't cut into his hand, then grabs the rope, swinging himself down the shaft.
<Dahok> This isn't natural.
* DeathStar looks to Junior.
* Kio looks at ire before doing the same. 14"Well here goes.."
* Ire kicks off the side as he swings down, looking into the darkness. He reaches into a sac and produces a flare. After lighting it, he drops it down the shaft, seeing how far down it is. About ten floors. He kicks off again and continues to move downward.
* Dahok moves over to the edge of the elevator shaft and waits for Kio to drop in
* Kio slides down the rope and into the shaft. He takes a slower and more careful approach then ire, taking smaller kicks down
* Junior waits for his turn to go down.
* Ire arrives at the bottom, landing beside the flare.
* DeathStar walks over to Junior, watching the others go down.
* Junior glances to DS.
* Slasher slides over to DS and Jr, waiting, as far as either of them can tell, he's too deep into his datapad to pay notice to either of them

<Junior> ...
* Ire draws his handguns and activates a flashlight, shining it around. He spots a tunnel, moving to examine it while he waits.
* Kio finally hits the bottom after ire. As he lands on the ground his rifle is pulled out and a flashligt produced..ready to fire at anything that comes near
* DeathStar rubs the cross as he watches.
* Dahok grabs the rope and drops down, sliding down it
* Slasher puts the datapad in his back pocket
<Junior> If you have something to say, say it. *looks to DS, then glances to Slasher*
<DeathStar> I really don't.
* Slasher moves over to the edge of the shaft and waits
<Junior> Alright then.
* Junior takes the rope and slides down.
* DeathStar watches Junior go.
* Slasher watches Jr. push by him
<Slasher> Hey now...
* Ire waves Kio over.
<Ire> Follow me.
* Slasher looks at DS
* Junior didn't touch Slasher.
* Ire walks down the tunnel, keeping his guns in front of him.
* DeathStar seems to be thinking hard.
<Slasher> Keep an eye on the other group for me Star. *nods his head to him and kneels over to grab the rope*
<Slasher> NRP: *hears the rope snap*
* Kio nods and follows ire
* DeathStar turns, teleporting away
* DeathStar has left #Taw
* Junior oofs as the rope snaps with him 3 feet off the ground, landing on his feet however.
<Ire> GM: *Kio and Ire move down a dark tunnel. Something crawls above Kio*
* Slasher looks at the rope snap
* Junior moves to join Ire
* Kio quickly looks up, his hand on the trigger
<Slasher> ...Huh, that guy needs to go on a diet.
<Ire> GM: *something lands on Kio, knocking him to the ground*
<Slasher> *his body phases away*
* Slasher appears next to Jr
* Ire turns around

* Junior moves ahead even as Slasher materializes.
* Dahok looks over at Jr and Slasher
* Junior looks to Kio, gun drawn
<Dahok> We should get going, they're ahead of us...*starts walking down the hallway*
* Ire shines the light on Kio
* Raven` has joined #taw
* Kio gets knocked to the ground and grunts dropping his fire. But he quickly pulls out his pistol and lashes out with a pistol
* Slasher walks after them, he quickly pulls out his datapad, typing on it more
* Raven` is hit by the pistol, rolling off of Kio.

* Raven` stops, seeing Ire
<Raven`> ...whoa, it's you guys?
* Kio gets up and grabs his rifle 14"Must people always jump on me?"
<Raven`> Sorry, I thought you were some Janus troops.
* Slasher looks over at Raven
<Slasher> How did he get down here before us?
<Raven`> I pretended to be some of the Chiere troops.
<Kio> 14"Apparantly he can stick to walls.."
<Raven`> Then I seperated from the others.
<Slasher> Huh...Well we now know there are Chiere soldiers here.
* Ire grunts, displeased.

* Junior shakes his head.
<Raven`> Hey, follow me. I know the way back to the main part of the base.
* Raven` hurries on ahead.

<Slasher> It could be dangerous, but he knows this base more than we do.

* Kio sighs before nodding
* Raven` then runs down a right tunnel
* Slasher moves down the left tunnel, then to the right tunnel
* Junior keeps with Ire
* Ire keeps up with Slasher.
* Kio runs behind ire
<Ire> GM: *Kio can hear something slithering on the walls*
* Dahok heads to the left then to the right, keepign up with them
* Slasher the dull glow of his datapad lights his face, showing that he's very intuned with what he's doing
* Kio turns around yet again..hand on trigger
<Ire> GM: *he can see a tentacle sneaking up behind Slasher*
* Raven` moves down a tunnel to the left
* Ire keeps up with Raven
* Kio almost has the mind to let it get him..but he unleashes a round torward it instead
* Slasher turns to the left after Raven, his face still plastered to the datapad
<Ire> GM: *the shot echoes through the tunnel as the tentacle is hit. A roar is heard nearby*
* Ire stops in place.
* Kio bumps into ire and falls backwards
* Raven` turns around
<Raven`> What was that?
* Slasher slides to a stop
* Ire glances at Kio
<Slasher> The scream of some creature.
* Dahok looks around at them
<Dahok> What's down here?
<Kio> 14"Looks like i pissed it off"
<Ire> GM: *a large 20 foot creature stomps out of the darkness. It looks like it had 5 heads and 10 tentacles, plus a red belly. Yet, every now and then a part of it will flicker, an arm will vanish or an eye will be gained.*

* Slasher looks at the creature
<Junior> ... Had to make the hydra reference earlier...
<Slasher> ...I think..It's a hologram, created by the Paradise program.
<Ire> Why would it make THIS?
<Slasher> To bide time.
* Raven` charges a blast in his hand
<Junior> I can only think of one reason.
* Junior glances to Ire.

* Ire raises his handguns and fires at the creature.
<Junior> If it's part of paradise, we can't kill it.
<Ire> GM: *the creature roars, swatting Ire back with a tentacle*

* Ire struggles back to his feet.
* Dahok hands engulf in flames and he swings at the beasts belly
* Raven` fires it at the creature's head.
<Ire> GM: *The creature is hit, roaring in pain. It beats Dahok back with three tentacles*
* Dahok is thrown backwards from the blast
* Kio points, aim and fires at the creature, mainly torward its head/eyes
<Dahok> NRP: eer...tentacles
* Junior fires at the hydra, aiming for it's body.
<Ire> GM: *the creature reels back in pain, throwing two tentacles out at Kio*
<Ire> GM: *the creature gushes red and green blood*
* Ire aims his handguns and fires rapidly at the creature's stoamch
<Ire> Creature: *falls over*
* Dahok stands up and looks at it
<Ire> GM: *it fades from reality*

* Slasher quickly resumes typing
<Junior> Raven, keep going.
* Kio goes skidding backwards from the tentacles
* Raven` nods, hurrying down the middle tunnel
<Dahok> Yes, let us go...

* Slasher heads down the middle, his head still glued to his datapad

* Kio gets up and follows them
<Junior> GM: *Raven runs right into the barrel of a Chiere's gun*
* Slasher looks up as he hears Ravens foot steps stop
<Junior> GM: *Six Chiere cock their guns, aiming at the group and open fire*
* Slasher spins to the side against the wall, then slides to the side and along the floor to the other side
* Kio ducks and rolls to the side while opening fire at the group
* Dahok holds his arms up, letting a blast hit his gauntlets
<Junior> GM: *2 duck low, firing at Dahok's knees, the other four fire at Kio*
* Raven` pauses, then punches out at one.
* Dahok the shots his his shin guards, knocking him to the ground
<Dahok> oooof.
* Kio attempts to duck and swerve again, but alas one shell strikes his arm causing blood to splatter. He grimaces in pain before opening fire again, aimed to spread fire the 4 aimed at him
* Slasher quickly pockets the datapad and forms a small chi ball, he then throws it at the nearest Chiere Guard
* Ire slides into position beside Kio, firing over his shoulder at the ones attacking him
<Junior> GM: *The one Slasher fired at slams into another, then getting riddled with bullets from Ire*
* Junior raises his gun, firing at the others
* Slasher drops low at hurls another chi ball at a different one
<Junior> GM: *two left*
* Raven` flies at one, trying to ram him into the wall
* Ire holds out a hand to Kio to help him up.
* Dahok pushes himself up
<Dahok> Gahh....
<Junior> GM: *the last two fire at Ire*
<Ire> NRP: *Ire blocks with Kio*

* Ire twists, letting the shots skim past him. He then aims and fires two blasts, one at each of the attackers.
* Kio gets up ..but he quickly grabs his hand and throws ire out of the way of the bullets, he then opens fire on the remaining 2

* Slasher forms another small chi ball and hurls it at one of the remaining two
<Ire> NRP: LOL. *Ire pulls Shadow's head out of the back pack and throws it at the enemy*
* Ire is, in fact, grabbed and saved.
* Dahok stands up fully and leans against the hallway wall, his looks down at his shin guards, seeing them burnt
<Dahok> Gah...
<Junior> GM: *none left*
<Ire> .....good job. *he says to Kio*
* Kio sighs wiping blood from his shoulder 14"Dammit.."
* Ire stands up.
<Raven`> Shall we continue?

* Raven` runs ahead again, stopping at a metal door.
* Slasher walks after them
<Ire> GM: *as the team walks, they would notice that some of the tunnels aren't made out of rock, but metal...*
* Dahok walks after the others, his legs in pain
<Ire> We need to knock in the door.
* Kio follows after the group
* Slasher looks up at the door and starts looking around it for anything to open it
<Ire> GM: *There's a keycard*
* Dahok rests his hands agains the hallway wall
* Junior looks to Ire.
<Slasher> Did anyone care to look for a keycard on one of those soldiers?
* Junior glances to Slasher.

<Slasher> We'll have to hope it works.

* Junior glances to Ire.
<Slasher> And if it doesn't, we'll have to hope one of your "plans" works.

* Junior looks to the card slot, studying it.
* Kio kneels over a soldier checking him

* Dahok kneels down next to a dead soldier and checks it

* Raven` paces back and forth

* Junior glances to Slasher.
<Junior> Stop thinking only of yourself.
<Slasher> I wasn't...I was thinking about her family, you weren't.

<Ire> GM: *the door unlocks*
<Slasher> You tell that to her kids.
* Raven` opens the door and steps through.
* Kio puts his gun in front of him again
* Ire holds his handgun up and follows Raven.
<Junior> Tell that to the planets that would die if she carried Chip to other worlds.
<Slasher> Who says they'd die? You're assuming the worst of it. This planet has died yet.
<Junior> How did you even get elected, anyway?
* Slasher turns and starts walking
<Junior> You're assuming to little.
<Ire> GM: *they are in a new rock tunnel now, the right wall made of what looks like thick metal*
<Slasher> Votes.
* Dahok walks past the two
<Dahok> Both of you shut up...
* Slasher looks at Dahok
* Ire moves down the tunnel with Kio, since he's quiet.
* Junior nods to Dahok and says nothing else.
* Junior follows Ire.
* Slasher sighs and keeps walking, working on his datapad
* Raven` hurries down the tunnel, arriving at another door. He opens it and steps into what appears to be a large, empty room. There's a computer system on the far end of the room*
* Ire steps into the room, looking around.
<Slasher> Raven, this the main area?
* Kio just continues to move forward ignoring the bickering..rather worried about being shot then some arguement
<Raven`> Yes, it is. I wonder where all the guards went.
* Raven` moves toward the computer.
<Slasher> No need for any now...He's in it..
* Slasher walks towards the computer, pulling out his datapad
<Ire> GM: *suddenly, a large spiked tail flies out at Slasher*
* Raven` shoves Slasher out of the way
* Raven` is then stabbed through the chest and lifted up in the air.
<Raven`> ARGH
<Slasher> RAVEN!
* Slasher slides to the side
<Raven`> GM: *The tail slides back and forth and rips Raven in two, dropping him to the ground*
* Junior leaps forward, slashing at the tail.
* Ire 's eyes widen and he looks up from where the tail originates.
* Raven` is now known as GuardBot
* Dahok looks around the room
* GuardBot lets go of the ceiling and lands on the ground.
* Slasher quickly studies the Guardbot for any weaknesses
* Ire fires at the GuardBot's head. It has four legs, a tail, and looks like a giant animal
<GuardBot> Destroy...ALL...intruders...
* GuardBot slams it's tail into Ire, smashing him into the wall.
* Kio backs up from the guard bot switching. He opens fire
* GuardBot turns to Kio and opens it's mouth. A gatling gun fires at Kio.
<Slasher> NRP: Guess Raven's weaker than Ire.
<Ire> NRP: Much.
<Kio> 14"Oh shit!:
<Kio> *damn enter*
<Ire> NRP: But Ire was swatted, not stabbed.
* Junior narrows his eyes, looking from Ire back to the bot. He spins his sabre and leaps forward, slashing at it's body.
* Dahok dashes forward and throws a punch at the Guardbots head
<Kio> 14"Oh shit!" 2Dives to the ground as two bullets pierce his right leg, quickly he attempts to lop a grenade into the open mouth
* Slasher quickly slides over to the computer
* GuardBot is slashed. It roars, then fires the gatling gun at Junior.
* GuardBot is then punched, the gatling gun's aim off.
* Ire pushes himself up.
* GuardBot then shoots the grenade as it nears it's mouth, blowing it up early.
* Slasher lands on the ground on the other side of the Guardbot, he spins around kicking it in the side
* GuardBot swings it's tail at Dahok, trying to swat him.
* Kio curses then waits for another opportunity while blood trips down his leg
* Ire eyes the Bot, then fires at it's eyes.
* Slasher is nailed by the tail and sent flying across the room, he hits the ground and rolls
<Dahok> NRP: Dahok...
* GuardBot is hit in the eyes. It steps back, momentarily searching for the attacker.
* Slasher stops and leaps back from the computer
* Dahok plants his hands and gets up
* GuardBot locks onto Ire.
* Ire stands there, then fires at it's face rapidly.
* Dahok fists erupt in flames and he runs low at the GuardBot
* GuardBot changes the gatling gun and a huge plasma cannon appears in it's mouth. It begins to charge.
* Junior leaps up onto the GuardBot if possible, slashing at it's back.
* GuardBot roars. It's tail tries to knock Junior off.
* Ire eyes the plasma cannon. He pulls out his rifle and fires right into it.
* Dahok dashes hard at the Guardbot, throwing a flaming punch into it's gut
* Junior tries to stap the sabre into it's back to hold on.
* GuardBot twitches. It fires a plasma beam at Ire.
* Slasher forms a chi ball, it slightly bigger than the one before, he throws it across the room to intercept the plasma beam
* GuardBot tries to crush Dahok with it's feet as he hurts it.
<Ire> GM: *the chi blasts hits the plasma beam...and the plasma beam continues*
* Ire tenses, then throws himself to the side.
<Slasher> Damnt...
* Kio continues to concentrate on the bot..looking for an open spot
* Dahok is smashed down by the foot
<Ire> GM: *the blast hits the wall, blowing it up*
* Junior drags teh sabre deeper into it's back, yelling.
* GuardBot 's plasma cannon cools off.
* Ire pushes himself up as rock falls around him.
* GuardBot keeps trying to slam it's tail down on Junior.
<Dahok> GAHHH!!! *screams as teh weight of the guardbot begins to crush him*
* GuardBot keeps crushing Dahok into the ground.
<Ire> ... *stands up and aims at the leg, firing an ice blast. The leg freezes*
<Ire> ...
* Slasher forms a chi-ball in his left hand and aims it at the guardbots frozen leg
* Slasher then throws it at it
* GuardBot 's leg shatters.
* Dahok quickly rolls out from under the shattered leg and away from teh bot
* GuardBot stumbles around.
* GuardBot plasma cannon begins to charge again.
* GuardBot turns to face the computer and Slasher.
* Kio smirks and unleashes another grenade round..this one for the charging cannon
* Dahok pushes himself up and tackles the guardbot
* GuardBot is hit by the cannon, a huge explosion occurring in it's mouth.
<Slasher> Shit...*runs over to the computer and connects his datapad, he quickly begins to transfer the virus over*
* GuardBot falls over.
* Junior leaps off of the bot, panting.
* Dahok leaps off the guard bot and hops away
<Ire> GM: *the computer ... is completely void of information*
<Slasher> ....*begins searching through the computer*
<Kio> 14"Is it over yet.." 2Stumbles to get up while pulling the bullets from his leg
<Ire> GM: *all the files have been removed*
* GuardBot 's tail moves slightly.
<Slasher> ...They must've transfered everything over to a new computer.
<Ire> ...What computer?
<Slasher> Skyhook.
<Ire> GM: *suddenly, the entire area begins to shake. The roof starts falling in*
<Kio> 14"..man"
<Slasher> ...We need to go now. *turns away from the computer and starts walking towards the door
<Ire> <Chip's voice> You're right, Slasher. I have the Paradise Program onboard Skyhook. And now I'll use it to reboot the simulator with my nanomachines and bring it back online under my control.
* Junior holsters his sabre, looking to Ire.
<Slasher> Chip...This isn't what I wanted.
<Ire> GM: *a huge cuhnk of the ceiling falls in and lands on the guard bot*
<Dahok> we need to get going.
<Junior> Sorry Slasher, looks like your best case scenario failed.
* Junior moves towards the exit.
<Ire> ...if he reboots the simulator...that'll kill everyone in it who has become part of it.
* Slasher mocks Jr. behind his back
<Kio> 14"Of course it did.."
* GuardBot has left #taw
<Ire> GM: *the walls begin to crack, except the metal walls*
<Ire> ...back to the elevator shaft.
* Ire runs out of the room as a huge rock lands on the computer.
* Slasher quickly begins to sprint down the hallway, going down the middle, then to the right, to the left and to the right again
* Ire follows Slasher. All around them, the rock walls crumble while it seems the metal wall is moving.
* Kio turns around to follow ire, limping
* Dahok sprints down the hallway following behind Slasher
<Slasher> We've got about two minutes.
<Ire> GM: *a huge chunk of rock lands in front of Slasher*
* Slasher slides to a stop
* Ire pauses, turnign to look at Kio. He runs back, throwing Kio's arm over his shoulder, and helping him along.
* Slasher growls both his hands glow green with chi, he plants them against the rocks and releases it
<Ire> GM: *The rock shatters*
<Slasher> Go now.
* Ire nods to Slasher, helping Kio along.
* Dahok nods and goes
<Slasher> Head left then right.
* Slasher looks around, waiting for the two to go infront of him
* Ire moves ahead.
* Junior stands at the elevator shaft, looking up it.
* Slasher follows behind Ire
* Kio continues running with ires help..yup has been injured the last 4 episodes
<Ire> GM: *another area falls apart behind them*
* Ire stops at the elevator shaft, looking up it.
<Ire> ...no rope.
* Junior looks down.
<Slasher> Yeah, it wasn't strop enough to hold Jr's weight.
<Junior> The rope itself is gone. It snapped before.
<Kio> 14"Great..now what"
* Junior glances to Slasher.
<Junior> I don't think so anymore.
<Slasher> What it was true.
<Ire> GM: *Behind them they can see cave in's occurring, heading their way*
<Slasher> ...Everyone hold onto me now.
* Slasher reaches his hands out
<Ire> GM: *a rope drops in from above*
* Slasher looks up
<Slasher> Or someone drop us a rope.
<Junior> Everyone, up!
<Slasher> Jr. you're the strongest, carry Kio up.
<Ire> Dahok, Slasher, you first.
* Kio grabs a hold of the rope then pushes himself up it
* Dahok leaps up and grabs the rope, climbing up quickly

<Ire> If Junior goes, he might break the rope again.
<Ire> He'll go last with me.
<Slasher> Ire, go. I'll phase Jr up with me then.
<Junior> Ire's right. If the rope did break under my weight, it could well do it again.
<Ire> GM: *another cave in occurs*
* Eve has joined #taw
* Eve leans out a shuttle, where the rope originates.
<Eve> Grab my hand, Kio
* Eve holds her hand out to Kio.
* Kio looks up at eve then takes her hand to lift himself up and out
* Dahok follows up behind Kio
* Ire grabs the rope.
* Eve helps Kio on, then holds her hand down to Dahko
* Dahok reaches his hand out to Jr.

<Dahok> NRP: Doh.
* Dahok reaches his hand out to Eve
* Ire climbs up.
* Junior grabs the hand.
* Slasher looks over at Jr.

* Slasher suddenly the two phase out of reality and reappear on the surface, the disappear again and reappear on the shuttle
* Eve grabs Dahok and swings him in.
<Slasher> NRP: I did.
* Kio sits down smirking 14"Dammit.."
<Dahok> I'm glad to see you're up and running.
<Eve> Thanks.
* Ire reaches up to grab Eve's hand when...
<Ire> GM: *suddenly the mountain explodes, sending rock flying everywhere. The shuttle starts shaking in the turbelence*

* Slasher lets go of Jr.
* Junior looks to Eve.
* Ire slips down the rope as dust goes flying.
<Slasher> Must've set it on self-destruct.
<Alicia> NRP: I'd join now, but I can't stay long enough
<Ire> GM: *suddenly, a huge space station lifts up in the air*
<Slasher> ...Skyhook.
<Eve> <Wind> He buried Skyhook in the ground!
<Kio> 14"..great"
<Slasher> Clever...
<Ire> Skyhook: *flies upward, heading for space*
<Junior> ...
<Ire> GM: *the rope begins to strain from the dust and rock, about to snap*
<Kio> 14"Tsh blow it out the sky with the hover tank.."
<Ire> GM: *The space station's size is amazing - it almost blots out the sun as it rises*
* Ire hangs onto the spinning rope.
* Junior reaches down to Ire "Grab my hand!"
* Ire looks up, his eyes narrowing. His hand starts lifting up, but he's a little low to be reached.
* Eve looks down at Ire, then at Junior.
* Eve grabs Junior's legs.
<Eve> Go for him.
* Junior reaches further
* Eve holds onto Junior.
* Ire grabs Junior's hand.
<Ire> GM: *soon everything calms down as Skyhook rises up into the sky and out of Earth's atmosphere*
* Junior takes his hand, swinging Ire up into the shuttle
* Ire lands in the shuttle, rolling.
<Slasher> ...*pulls out his datapad and looks at it*
<Slasher> There's still a good but slim chance this might work.
<Ire> <Wind> We're being hailed.
* Slasher looks at Wind
* Eve helps Junior back in.
* Junior looks to Eve.
<Ire> <Wind> *taps the button for Slasher to hear it*
<Slasher> Let's hear what they have to say...*turns to Eve* How you feeling?
<Ire> <Chip> As you can see, Skyhook is fully operational.
<Eve> I've been better.
<Slasher> How's your chest.
* Ire turns to the speaker.
<Eve> Better than my head.
* Eve is wearing DS' jacket and some spare pants.
<Slasher> Sorry bout having to tranq ya...
* Junior glances to the speaker, then back to Eve.
<Slasher> Cheryl had to make something up, I'm just glad to see you alive.
* Kio ties up his gunshot wounds
<Ire> <Chip> This message is for Slasher. Do not send your forces to engage Skyhook. If you do, I have enough weapons on this station to blow up any location on Earth. IF you try to move against me, I will do whatever it takes.
* Eve nods her head.
<Slasher> End this game Chip before anymore people are hurt.
<Ire> ...
<Ire> <Chip> If you don't move against me, no one will be hurt. *the transmission ends*
* Slasher crosses his arms
<Kio> 14"Just nuke the damn thing"
* Ire glances at the others.
<Junior> Eve, I--
<Slasher> The only way we can get on there now is either a cloaked shuttle or...to commandere one of his shuttles with codes.
* Eve smiles at Junior
<Eve> You did what you had to do.
<Kio> 14"Orrr..you nuke it"
<Slasher> ...Kio, are you dumb?
* Junior nods.

<Ire> <Wind> According to the scans I took on Skyhook, nothing can get close to Skyhook. It's large assortment of weapons will take out anything.
<Slasher> Ok...
<Junior> In the coming days, there will be a lot of things we have to do.
* Slasher looks at Wind
<Ire> We have to board Skyhook and destroy it. We cannot sit by while Chip activates his nanomachines to reboot Paradise.
<Slasher> You're piloting skills are currently the only thing thta we can use to get on Skyhook right now.
<Ire> <Wind> Whoa, wait a minute.
<Kio> 14"Were gonna die.."
* Junior crosses his arms.
<Ire> ...I concur. Wind has proven to have excellent flying skills. If he can get a shuttle on Skyhook.
<Ire> We can take out Chip.
* Junior turns to Eve.
<Eve> Whoa, you boys are really gung ho for the suicide angle.
<Slasher> We have to stop him someway.
<Junior> What we really need is a way to teleport up there.
<Junior> There's no way we can get a shuttle there, not with all those security systems.
<Slasher> That things probably more than protected from most teleporting devices.
<Ire> If Chip is half as smart as he claims, he'd have anti-teleporting devices and phasing.
<Junior> You're the scientist, Slasher.
* Junior looks at him.
<Slasher> Thanks for admitting it.
* Slasher winks at him

* Slasher looks at Eve
* Eve looks at Slasher.
* Slasher then looks at Jr.
* Junior looks to Slasher.

* Ire seems to be thinking.
<Slasher> I have a feeling we are going to be taking on some of you're relatives if when we get on the Skyhook.
<Junior> Eve, I need to talk to you. Privately.
<Eve> Of course. Once we land at camp, we should be free to speak. *she indicates the small space in the shuttle not being good*
<Slasher> NRP: Kind of hard on a small shuttle like this
<Junior> NRP: I'm sure we'll find a way, don't worry your little heart.
<Ire> GM: *the shuttle flies toward the campsite*
<Ire> <Wind> Slasher, I'll need you to help me upgrade this shuttle - if we're going to do this, we'll need some surprised.

* Slasher pulls out a pair of glasses from a side compartment of his datapad and puts them on
* Dahok looks up at Eve

* Ire turns and walks off the shuttle.

<Ire> GM: *Wind gets off the shuttle and begins to look at the engines*
<Slasher> I'll do what I an with what I have Wind.
* Eve walks down the shuttle ramp and moves off to the side, waiting for Junior.
* Junior follows Eve.

* Dahok walks over to the campsite and sits down
* Kio gets up stumbling slightly
* Ire sits down near Dahok. He pulls out his handguns and begins to upgrade them

* Pope sits at the camp site, looking up as the group filters in
<Junior> I doubt that, actually.
* Kio walks out then sits by the camp fire, going silent

<Junior> Chip managed to manifest himself inside of you.
* Eve frowns at the memory, but nods.
<Junior> I expect he'll do the same on Skyhook--with every soldier.
<Pope> Aren't we a cheery bunch of sods today.
<Junior> And now he has some of your DNA, too.
<Eve> That could be dangerous. ... And since Skyhook is probably an extension of Skyhook, he'll probably control everything on it.
* Slasher walks back to help Wind with the engine
<Eve> NRP: extension of Chip.
* Junior nods.
<Junior> We'll be walking into a death trap.
* Eve shoves her hands in the black jacket.
<Eve> Yes. It's something I've noticed Slasher and the others love to do.
<Junior> No, just Slasher.
* Ire looks at Pope.
<Junior> Ire's doing the only thing he knows might work.
<Junior> Slasher--well, we've established he'll risk everyone else for his own gain.
<Eve> You have to remember, Slasher comes from an era when people had to risk everything in order to live another day.
* Pope toses Ire his flask
<Junior> I think he plans to regain control of Chip rather than destroy him.
* Dahok looks over at Ire
<Junior> That's what I initially thought of him, but appearantly people change.
* Ire takes the flask, looking at it. He takes a swig.
<Eve> Slasher loves Chip you know, Junior. Chip is like his virtual son. But he knows what needs to be done.
* Dahok runs his hands through his hair
* Junior crosses his arms.
<Junior> This will sound cold, but in the end, it's just a computer program.
* Slasher points out things to Wind, explaining what will happen to certain stuff when changes are made
<Junior> He should have kept a backup. *sighs, biting his lip*
<Ire> GM: *Wind keeps saying he needs more power*
* Slasher laughs to Wind
<Eve> We all cared about Chip, Junior. He was one of us during the war.
<Pope> So, chief, what's the plan?
<Eve> None of us thought something like this could happen. Not even me.
<Junior> Anything can and will happen, appearantly.
* Slasher nods and heads over to the main computer, he begins to re-route the programming
<Ire> ... Skyhook is prepared to launch nanomachines to reboot the computer. That will kill countless thousands.
<Junior> Our only hope, whatever the answer is, is to break through his defenses as completely as possible.
<Ire> We have to blow up the entire station to ensure that the Chip program does not have the option to do it.
<Ire> No matter the cost.
<Eve> You can trust Wind to get you on the station. But, once you get on there, that's when it becomes problematic. Chip will control everything in there.
<Junior> Stealth won't be an option, obviously. He'll see us whever we are on the inside--so we have to just smash whatever he throws at us.
* Pope takes his cigarette out of his mouth. "Didn't happen to keep check of Senreich's stockpile when you blokes did 'im in, did ya?"
* Ire shakes his head.
<Junior> Which is why I asked to speak with you privately.
<Eve> What can I do?
<Junior> I need... some combat pointers. *grimaces*
<Pope> Shame we can't just blow the bint outta the bloody sky.
<Dahok> It's never that easy.
<Ire> Too heavily armed.
<Ire> I almost doubt we can even board it.
* Eve nods her head.
<Eve> I'll show you whatever I can.
<Slasher> MiniGM: *a console sparks next to him*
* Pope smirks. "Makes it all the easier, mate."
<Slasher> Hoooboooy...*continues re-routing*
<Slasher> Wind, you're quite abusive to this thing.
<Ire> <Wind> ... I don't see the need to cuddle it.
<Slasher> Well, cuddle won't be anymore near it's dictionary.
* Ire hands Pope the flask back.
* Dahok reaches his hand for it
<Dahok> Care if I have some?
* Ire hands it to Dahok.
* Dahok grabs it and takes a swig
* Dahok he then tosses it to Pope
<Dahok> Thanks.
* Pope shakes his head, holding up his hand. "Yours, mate, for luck."
* Eve leads Junior away from the others so they can train in peace.
* Dahok stops from tossing it
<Pope> NRP: It was supposed to go to Ire, actually. =P
* Kio looks into the fire
<Dahok> NRP: *a tiny deer walks over to Eve and Jr and watches tehm*
* Ire takes the flask back.
<Dahok> ...Hey.
<Ire> Fire: *stares back at Kio*
<Ire> GM: *meanwhile...Shadow sleeps in the hovertank*
<Ire> I feel...like I forgot something...
<Pope> NRP: <Fire> Hey...stop lookin' at me like that! Quit it! I mean it, I'll burn you! You're really creeping me out here!
* Shadow_Mardonas has quit IRC (Ping timeout)
<Pope> Guess that means the liqour really works.
<Dahok> Heh...If I don't make it out alive...It was fun working with you guys.
* Ire grunts.

* Ire takes another sip of the flask.

* Pope looks to Ire. "Lemme see that flask 'gain quick, Werren."

* Pope takes a swig, then spits the mouthful into the fire, towards Kio
<Ire> GM: *The fire reaches out toward Kio*
* Dahok chuckles
* Pope grins, then hands the flask back after wipinghis mouth. "Cheers, eh?"

* Kio tilts his head back, his face narrowly avoiding the fire. He shakes his head
* Dahok holds his hand out to the ground, seconds later a small sapling sprouts from the barren earth
