<Captain_Drake> It's amazing it didn't hit any vital organs.
* Shiva` stands next to Drake

<DocBlack> NRP: ship
<Captain_Drake> NRP: Yeah.
<Shiva`> If it hasn't hit any major organs why's it still in there
<Captain_Drake> That would be a question to ask the good doctor, I believe.
* DocBlack lays on a bed herself, having been knocked out.
* Sardis sits up, patched up from Shiva's attack.
<Captain_Drake> GM: *Thedda lays on another bed, strapped in. Her eyes dart wildly around the room, as if she's seeing things*
<Captain_Drake> Assuming, of course, if the good doctor ever wakes up.
* Sardis gets up and heads over to Kat and the others.
<Sardis> ... We need to remove it, it can't be helping matters with it sitting in there.
<Captain_Drake> I agree, but if we're not careful, we could risk further damage to Katrina.
* DocBlack opens her eyes, "And do further damage to Katrina?" She sits up, and rubs her head, "Molly! Irish Coffee. Black as Hell."
<Captain_Drake> Molly: Aye, ma'am. *walks off to fix it*
<Captain_Drake> And how are you, Doctor Black?
<DocBlack> Good girl.... *she gingerly swings herself off the bed* Sober, and my head seems five inchers larger then my skull.
<Captain_Drake> I believe it would be wise if you refrain from going on away missions.
<Sardis> ... I fail to see how removing the blade will hurt her more than she already is.
<Captain_Drake> Well, I don't know much about the sort of thing, but this is a deadly weapon inside her back.
* DocBlack walks carefully toward Katrina's bed, and glances to Drake," Why the hell do you say that?" She then bends over, and begins examining Katrina's wound with a medscanner.
<Captain_Drake> GM: *the wound seems to be stablized, not getting bigger, not getting smaller. But, for the most part, Kat's lifesigns are dropping every couple of minutes*
<Shiva`> Not to mention it did corrupt Skaad, so there's a chance it might be trying to corrupt her now.
<Captain_Drake> I think we should talk with Skaad when he's patched up enough. He might know something.
<Sardis> We don't have time to argue this, we have to remove it!
<Captain_Drake> Molly: *walks in with the coffee*
<Shiva`> Do you really want to risk doing more harm by just yanking it out?
<DocBlack> Sardis, when you become the chief medical physian here, you can make those decisions. Thanks Moll *she takes the coffee and takes a sip*
<DocBlack> The blade needs to come out to heal the wounds that will kill her.
<Sardis> Okay, let's sit and stare at it while she dies.
* Shiva` turns to Sardis
<Shiva`> Then be my guest and pull the damned thing out if your so sure no harm will be done!
* DocBlack rolls her eyes, and then points to Sardis, and Drake, "All those who do not have a severe medical condition, out. I've got work to do and you're bothering me."
<DocBlack> you too Shiva, out.
<Captain_Drake> I'm afraid that is out of the question. You just woke up from being knocked out. If you think for a moment I'm going to stand outside while you treat this patient, alone, then you're a few drinks shy of reality.
<DocBlack> Then Molly will perform the operation, but she needs guidance, and that's not gonna happen with your mouths flapping in here!
<Captain_Drake> Molly: Me? This is a little beyond me, ma'am.
<DocBlack> Oh hush, you're reading.
<DocBlack> Ready!
<Captain_Drake> ... I'll be on the bridge. Call me the moment anything happens.
* Sardis looks totally dumbfounded.
* Captain_Drake steps out, tight lipped.
<Sardis> I guess I have no choice. *follows Drake*
<DocBlack> You too Shiva.
* Captain_Drake walks down the hallway to the elevator, hitting the button.
<Shiva`> Keep us updated. *turns and starts walking towards the Hanger Bay*
<Captain_Drake> I think it's time we had a talk with Mr. Skaad, Sardis.
* Captain_Drake steps into the elevator.
* DocBlack turns on her heel, and begins readying the room for the operation, getting the life support systems ready, and the dermal regenerators working.
<Sardis> Agreed.
* Sardis follows him on.
* DocBlack lifts her eyes, "Bloody backseat doctors."
* Captain_Drake hits the button for the brig area.
<Captain_Drake> GM: *the elevator zooms downward*
<DocBlack> Now Molly... This is a very delicate thing. First we need to see exactly where the sword is lodged.
<Captain_Drake> GM: *the elevator opens up, showing a hallway with a checkpoint*
* DocBlack scans Katrina's body to see how the sword is lodged.
* Captain_Drake walks to the guard.
<Shiva`> NRP: Kat: It's in my back you jackass!
<Captain_Drake> We're here to see Skaad. *the guard nods, opening the door*

<DocBlack> NRP: I was more concerned about nerves and internal organs
* Captain_Drake steps into the brig area, glancing around.
* Captain_Drake walks past the various cells to the back, where the medical area is.
<Captain_Drake> Molly: Aye, ma'am.
<Captain_Drake> GM: *the scans show the sword, somehow, is between the spine and several organs, like the kidneys*
* Captain_Drake steps in front of a cell where, inside, Skaad is on a hospital type bed, with several machines hooked up into him. He looks like he's barely alive.
<DocBlack> Luck of the stars... Molly, you're going to have to remove the sword. I can't do it, not with these hands. It's right between the spine, and the kidneys. One twitch, and she's in deeper shit then she's in now.
* Sardis keeps with Drake.
* Captain_Drake reaches over and hits the energy field deactivation button, stepping into the room. Skaad's eyes slide open.

<Skaad> I...*coughs, his voice hoarse, even for a Tsivrixsh* wondered when you would come.
<Captain_Drake> Molly: ME, ma'am?
* DocBlack takes a deep breath, "Yes, and you'd better dump it in the bin beside you, and activate the force shield."
<Captain_Drake> Molly: *puts on a mask and gets her gloves on, sighing* What tools should I use.
* Captain_Drake stands at the side of the bed, his hands crossed behind his back. He looks at Skaad, with a bit of contempt.
<DocBlack> Molly, you've surpassed a nurse. *she does much the same, the mask and gloves coming on a somber, ceremonial way* I'm going to bring the dermal regenerator on, that will begin to repair the damage. What you need to do, is what they've done for a thousand years, pull the blade out slow and true."
<Sardis> ... He's entitled to due process.
<Captain_Drake> Molly: *nods, walking over to stand next to Kat. She takes some scissors and cuts away the back of her uniform, pulling it away from the entry point.
* Skaad coughs in almost a hoarse laugh, then he sobers.
<Skaad> Kat...how is she...?
* DocBlack readies her fingers on the dermal regenator, aiming it for the wound, "Whenever you're ready."
<Captain_Drake> Molly: *nods, reaching out and grabbing the hilt of the sword with hand. Suddenly, green electricity crackles out and begins to shock Molly, causing her to cry out in pain and surprise. She jerks back, her hand immediately unclasping the blade as she hits the ground*
<Sardis> Dying, because of what you did.
<Captain_Drake> She lives. No doubt foiling what you planned.
<Skaad> It...wasn't me...it was the...sword.
<DocBlack> Molly!
* DocBlack kneels beside Molly first to check on her.
<Captain_Drake> The sword? You would have me believe the SWORD did it?
* Shiva` makes her way along the Hanger Bay floor towards her desk
<Captain_Drake> Molly: *is stunned, unconscious. But she's alive*
<Sardis> ...
* DocBlack closes her eyes, ".....then it's me." She opens her eyes and looks to Katrina, checking on her life signs, "No damn sword is going out smart me."
<Captain_Drake> GM: *they dropped drastically upon the touch of the sword*
<Skaad> Whether you believe me ... or not. .. it matters not. The sword did it and...if anyone tries...to remove it, heaven help them...
* Shiva` slides into her chair and sits down, pulling her self upto her terminal where she quickly access's the HoloNet
* DocBlack activates her comm, "Captain, we have a situation. I do not believe that we can remove the sword without killing Katrina."
* Captain_Drake glances at his comm, then at Skaad, who looks almost smug.
<Captain_Drake> We gathered that from our prisoner, Doctor Black. Perhaps you should put a halt on anymore attempts for now,.
* Shiva` hits the enter button and leans back in her chair, waiting
<DocBlack> Comm: I thought much the same. Captain? Perhaps Skaad could remove it.
<Captain_Drake> Can you remove it, Skaad?
* Skaad coughs.
<Skaad> Perhaps...
* DocBlack does what she can for Katrina, boosting the power to life support and such, and then lays Molly down on a bed. She leans against the wall and closes her eyes, "Heaven help doctors and alcoholics."
* Captain_Drake looks at Sardis.
<Captain_Drake> Do you believe him?
* Shiva` turns her attention back to her computer when it makes a beeping noise
<Sardis> It doesn't matter, the military courts will decide.
<Captain_Drake> I don't think Katrina HAS that long, Sardis.
* DocBlack makes her way to her console, and looks up on the database "emerald sword"
* Shiva` place's her elbow on the table and her hands on her forehead
* Sardis glances at Drake.
<Sardis> Well, he's not given us any clues as to help her.
<Captain_Drake> GM: *no data is listed. Only that it was brought to this reality by Garland Hianule. Origin: Unknown.
<DocBlack> ....Garland.... *she pulls up any data about Garland Hianule*
* Skaad raises his hand, coughing harder.
<Skaad> There...is a great...evil in that...sword.
<Captain_Drake> GM: *there's tons of data on Garland Hianule. Hundreds of pages*
<Sardis> NRP: and images of him flipping off the camera.
<DocBlack> Wait.... *she limits the search to include distinct changes in personality, and weaponry*
<Shiva`> Why won't my visions ever appear when I need them the most.
<Captain_Drake> GM: Garland Hianule, after appearing during The Prime Reality incident, had changed, claiming to be 400 years older. He held a weapon from another reality, the Emerald Sword. During the next reality crisis, the emerald sword took control of Garland and had him turn against his friends. Controlling the sword, Garland used it for some more time before breaking it*
<Captain_Drake> What do you mean, "evil"?
<Skaad> ...*coughs* Imagine handling an object. The dirt on your hands ... it'll soon begin to cling to the object, stain it. After a time, the object is no longer the perfect, pure form it was...it has been stained.
<DocBlack> Comm: Captain, if this is the emerald sword, then the data we have on it is wrong. Garland Hianule broke it.
<Sardis> How do you know this?
<Skaad> I don't know...I gathered it..when it took over me. Kinda like...I could see...into it, sorta? ... it's hard to explain. I don't think it liked the stains...
<Captain_Drake> Comm: Weren't you paying attention, good Doctor? Skaad restored the sword in the volcano just a few hours ago.
<Captain_Drake> You make it sound like the sword is sentinent. *Skaad says nothing* Fine.
<DocBlack> Comm: Getting knocked out makes me loopy. Sir, the sword as able to be controled though. If Skaad could control it, even for a few moments, then he might beable to remove it. With it gone, I could heal her.
<Skaad> I'm afraid...she has too much...faith in me...Captain.
<Skaad> But, there...might be a way...
<Sardis> ....
<Captain_Drake> And what way is that, Skaad?
<Skaad> The volcano...planet...when the sword fused, I think...some of the energy...seeped into it. Take her...back there. Try to get inside the sword's conscious.
* DocBlack sighs and then stands, she looks at her ward composing of her only two friends lying either stunned or dying, and the XO looking insane.
<Captain_Drake> ...I think I've heard enough of this nonsense.
* Captain_Drake turns and walks away.
<DocBlack> comm: Captain, did you get anything out of him?
<Captain_Drake> Comm: Nothing but nonsense, Doctor.
* Captain_Drake steps out of the cell, leaving Skaad and Sardis alone in it.
<Sardis> ... *follows Drake*
<DocBlack> Comm: I know two things. One, Katrina will die. Two, the sword will be free for the taking and curruping others. So if it's nonsense, then it's our shot, and we're fools to not take it.
<Captain_Drake> He's loopy. Obviously holding the blade drove him mad.
<Captain_Drake> Comm: I'm not about to believe the sword has some "conscious" streak running through it.
<DocBlack> Comm: Sir. it did it to Garland Hianule. Maybe it is. It's from an entire different reality. Stranger things have happened.
<Captain_Drake> ...
* Captain_Drake looks at Sardis
<Captain_Drake> What do YOU think?
* Shiva` pushes herself up and punch's her table, denting the plastic slightly
* DocBlack sighs softly, and stands there.
* Shiva` her eye's go distant suddenly then return back to normal
<DocBlack> NRP: brb, need to use the restroom
* Shiva` shakes her head
<Shiva`> What the...*looks out the huge viewport at the Volcano Planet*
<Captain_Drake> GM: *it seems normal ... but it's got green streaks running through it where lava once flowed*
<Shiva`> *taps her comm* Comm: Captain...
* Captain_Drake sighs, tapping his comm. over to Shiva.
<Captain_Drake> Yes?
<Shiva`> Comm: If we don't need to be here any longer, I strongly advise we pull back from this planet to a safer distance, I think it's about ready to explode. And after it does, it's gonna collapse in on itself.
<DocBlack> NRP: back
<Captain_Drake> ... Fine. Let me get to the brdige.
<Sardis> NRP Me too.
<Sardis> I don't think going to the planet again is the answer.
<DocBlack> Comm: Captain, what's your answer? Are we going to let Katrina die?
<Captain_Drake> Comm: We're not going to listen to Skaad. Who knows WHAT he say when he held the sword.
* Captain_Drake steps past the check point into the elevator.

<Shiva`> Why would I see a vision of this planet exploding...*thinks to herself*
* DocBlack sighs, and then speaks into the comm, "Then what do you want me to do."
<Captain_Drake> Comm: Just keep her alive.
* Captain_Drake hits the button for the bridge.
* Sardis looks to Drake.
* DocBlack closes her eyes and speaks into the comm, "That's going to be hard, because without healing the wound, she'll die. And that's on your head sir."
<Captain_Drake> GM: *the elevator zooms up to the bridge*
<Captain_Drake> Comm: Acknowledged.
* Captain_Drake steps out onto the bridge.
<Captain_Drake> Ensign 2, pull us away from the planet. I don't know about Shiva, but I'm not going to ignore her advise. There is nothing but green lava on that planet now, anyway.
* DocBlack opens her eyes, "Blasted assholes. Not on my watch. Never...." She picks up the comm Snipe gave her, "Please answer. Please."
<Captain_Drake> NRP: Hold that thought, I gotta check the dates.
* Sardis shakes his head warilly, thinking.
<Captain_Drake> GM: *the Aquarius pulls away*
<DocBlack> NRP: did I think outside the box? :P
<Captain_Drake> NRP: You sure did.
<DocBlack> NRP: you love me for that :)
<Captain_Drake> GM: *the comm crackles, static heavy* Snipe: Yeah? Who be dis?

<DocBlack> NRP: the doctor never listens to anyone.
<Captain_Drake> Snipe on Comm: I'm your only---Dias, quit listening in dammit.

* DocBlack looks defeated, but her voice stays calm on the comm, "I'll mother your child. Nevermind that, you know I love you. Snipe, you're the only one I know who knew Garland.

* Shiva` walks back over to her terminal and begins to access the Ships scanners and begins scanning the Volcano Planet for energy signal
<Captain_Drake> A possibility, but why do I have a feeling it won't work...
<Captain_Drake> GM: *the planet is teeming with wild energy, almost off this world energy*
<DocBlack> Comm: Skaad brought into a volcano on a planet we.... are orbiting.
<Sardis> You just said you don't have a better idea.

* Shiva` pulls up the energy readings of that DocBlack got from scanning the sword and compares tehm
<Captain_Drake> Snipe on Comm: *can be heard whispering quietly with someone, obviously about the sword* What happened to the planet?

* Captain_Drake heads for the elevator.
<DocBlack> Comm: It's currently surging with green energy. That's why we left the planet.
<Shiva`> Hmmmmm.
<Captain_Drake> Snipe on Comm: .... Go back to the planet, Mary. You might be able to remove the sword there. Heaven help me if Kat dies.
* Captain_Drake steps into the elevator, waiting for Sardis.
<DocBlack> Comm: Alright. Snipe... I know you might not feel the same way, but I love you, so I won't let Kat die. She's one of my only friends.
* Sardis follows him on.
<Captain_Drake> Snipe on Comm: Roger. I trust you, Mary. See you soon. *the connection ends in static*
* Captain_Drake hits the floor for the medical bay.
* DocBlack pockets the comm and looks to Katrina, "Let's go camping."
* Skaad sits in his cell.
* DocBlack begins to set up a portable bed for Katrina.
* Captain_Drake steps off on the hallway and begins to march down the hallay.
* DocBlack glances to Molly, and tries to wake her, "Molly.... Molly, wake up, I need you."
<Captain_Drake> Moll: .... *is out*
<Captain_Drake> GM: *looks like Black will need some other conspirators*

* Captain_Drake steps into the medical bay.
<Captain_Drake> Doctor Black, we're her---what is going on?
* Sardis blinks, looking around.
* DocBlack glances to Drake, "We're going to the planet. It's the only way to get this sword out. Trust me, I have good sources."

<DocBlack> A lady never reveals her suitors.
* Captain_Drake pauses, looking at Sardis.
* DocBlack rolls her eyes, "Christ on a crutch, I'm old not ugly. Now, are you going to stop me, or can move though?"
<Sardis> You're not a lady. You're a doctor.
<DocBlack> The cunt says otherwise kid.
<Captain_Drake> That planet is going to blow up, Black. If you go down there, you'll die.
<DocBlack> Been dead inside awhile Drake. The body joining the spirit isn't a big deal, and it'll give Kat a chance.
* Sardis looks at Black stoicly.

* Captain_Drake steps to the side.
<Captain_Drake> I'm not going with you. This is just plain stupid.

* DocBlack loos to Sardis, "Wrongo. It's her only chance. She's dead anyway." She lifts Kat gingerly onto the new bed, and activates the support systems.
<Captain_Drake> GM: *the emerald sword sparks briefly, but calms down*
* Shiva` eyes go distant again
* Sardis narrows his eyes.
<Shiva`> ....*shakes her head* Bob, get a shuttle ready.
<Captain_Drake> Bob: Another? Alright. *runs off to get the shuttle ready*
* DocBlack looks to Sardis, and then comms Shiva, "Hey, you want to go to the planet?"
<Sardis> You're insane--in the bad way.
<Captain_Drake> I'll be on the bridge...monitoring this.
* DocBlack gives Sardis a sour look and begins pushing Katrina toward the shuttle bay.
* Captain_Drake walks off, obviously not getting involved.
<Shiva`> Comm: I'm already on it Doc
<DocBlack> comm: I'll meet you there toots.
* Shiva` blinks again

* Sardis shakes his head.
<Shiva`> Comm: I think we need Skaad also.
<Sardis> You'll all die if someone competant doesn't come along.

* DocBlack looks to Sardis, "Shiva's coming. Why don't you come along to make sure we don't fuck things up?"
* Captain_Drake stands on the bridge. He looks at ensign 2.

<Captain_Drake> Comm: You might want to hurry. The planet's rotation is shifting.
* Shiva` leaps over the edge of a emergency stairway and drops down to the floor of the brigs
<DocBlack> Comm: acknowledged. *she begins to make haste to the shuttle bay*
* Shiva` hits the ground and rolls, pushing herself and sprinting to the main entrance way of the Brig
* Sardis heads to the shuttle.
* Shiva` slides to a halt at the guard
<Captain_Drake> Guard: Yes?
<Shiva`> I need you to release Skaad into my custody.
<Captain_Drake> Guard: I need the Captain's authorization.
* DocBlack heads into the shuttle, and lays Katrina down there.
<Captain_Drake> GM: *Kat is beginning to look a little pale*
<Sardis> The longer we wait, the less chance we have of saving Kat before the planet goes nuclear. We'll have to leave Shiva and Skaad.
<Shiva`> Comm: Captain I need your authorization to place Skaad into my custody.
<DocBlack> Comm: Shiva... we need to hurry.
<Captain_Drake> ....
<Captain_Drake> Comm: Go ahead.
<Shiva`> You heard him.
<Captain_Drake> ... They're all going to go boom anyway. *flips off the comm*
<Captain_Drake> GM: *the guard nods, opening the check point door*
<Shiva`> Bring him to my ASAP
* Skaad stands there, hunched over, his stiches threatening to rip open.
<Skaad> I...am already...here.
* Sardis powers up the shuttle. "They better hurry."
<Captain_Drake> Guard: Ho-How did you
* Skaad hobbles past them
<Skaad> Lets go.
* DocBlack nods, and looks tight lipped.
<Shiva`> Then let's go. *turns and begins walking towards the elevator*

* Skaad hobbles into the elevator, slumping against the wall.

<Captain_Drake> GM: *ZOOM. They're THERE!*

* DocBlack notes that they lifted off.

<Captain_Drake> GM: *the planet is literally quaking and shaking as oceans of green goo cover the planet. However, a wide area is visible, in which they can land*
<Sardis> NRP: Reminds me of a scene from out of the original Heavy Metal.
<Captain_Drake> GM: *bob's shuttle lands on the patch of land, powering down to minimum.*
* Sardis lands as well.
<Shiva`> Keep it running Bob.
* Sardis keeps it powered up.
<Sardis> Doc, what's up with the sword?
<Shiva`> Let's go Skaad.
* Skaad steps down the patch, wincing as ash blows in his face.
* DocBlack is already moving Katrina out of the shuttle. "I don't know. It's powerful, it's from another reality, and we have to get rid of it."
<Skaad> (patch = ramp)
<Skaad> ...when...Sardis pushed me...into the volcano...I felt myself...dying.
* DocBlack pulls her mask on, and makes sure Katrina's in on too.
* Skaad kneels down at the green lava.
<Skaad> But then, just as I was about...to die...this green stuff restored me.
* DocBlack looks to Skaad, "Okay, Now what. She's here."
<Shiva`> Don't get any ideas Skaad.
* Skaad shakes head.
<Sardis> ... You want us to throw her in!?
* Sardis reaches for his axe, like he's going to behead Skaad then and there.
<Skaad> It wouldn't work if you just THREW her in...

* Shiva` puts her hand near the green stuff to feel temperature.
<Skaad> GM: *it's hot, very hot. But...*

<Skaad> I'm too weak to go into the source...I should stay and try to remove the sword when you weaken it.
<Shiva`> Do we all have to go at once into it?

* DocBlack looks to Skaad, and Sardis, make up your mind, fast. We don't have time."

* Shiva` walks over to Kat and kneels getting ready to pick her up
* Skaad looks at Sardis.
* DocBlack goes to Shiva and works at helping her. "Soon, we all have to go in at the same time."
<Katrina`> GM: *the planet shudders*
<Shiva`> We don't have time for this Sardis.
<DocBlack> NRP: trust it to the girls to get things done, and for the men to argue

* DocBlack lifts Kat, supporting her back and legs.

<Shiva`> We're going in now.
<Sardis> Fine, if I'm the only one the least bit skeptical, whatever. We'll all die anyway at this point.

* Shiva` slowly makes her way to the edge of the green stuff*

* DocBlack follows with Shiva and Sardis

* Skaad gives Sardis a smile, baring his teeth.
* Skaad pulls himself up, following them to the edge of the lava.
* Shiva` takes a deep breath and puts her right foot into the lava
<Katrina`> GM: *it begins to suck Shiva down, pulling the others with her*
* DocBlack closes her eyes and willinging lets herself go into the lava

* Sardis keeps one foot on the solid land, wincing at the burning of the green.

* DocBlack tries to hold Kat's back out of the lava
* Skaad holds Kat partially in the lava, keeping it out of the lava.
<Katrina`> GM: *suddenly, a sucking sound is heard and Black, Sardis, and Shiva all go under the currents. Everything goes black as their world is nothing but a burn...then it stops. They've landed on solid ground, but there's no more green goo.*
* Shiva` looks around, confused
* DocBlack blinks, and looks around, "....I'm not drunk."
<Katrina`> GM: *the air is thick and heavy, the world dark. Somewhere ahead is a light source...about half a mile*
* Sardis looks around, with a confused look.
<DocBlack> ...where's Katrina.
<Katrina`> GM: *there is no sign of Kat*
<Sardis> I don't know--look! *starts off for the light*
* DocBlack nods and follows after him
<Shiva`> For being the over-cautious one you like to shed that quickly...*begins walking towards the light*
<Katrina`> GM: *in the center of the light seems to be a crystal palance, green, with a white light going in the top. There's an entrance, though, dead ahead*
* Sardis slides to a stop, looking at it.
* DocBlack keeps walking foward, and tries to go through the entrance.
* Shiva` walks directly past Sardis, not stopping
<Katrina`> GM: *as they enter, they're in a hallway of solid green*

* DocBlack keeps walking down the hallway

<Katrina`> GM: *suddenly, they're in a big open room, with a white light shining down the middle. There's a prism, reflecting pure light to the left, where the Emerald Sword lays, and darkness to the right, where a Ruby Sword lays...bigger and stronger*
<DocBlack> ...we're in another reality. The one Garland was in.
* Shiva` slides to a halt
<Sardis> ... Where the hell do you come up with this stuff?
* Sardis walks past Shiva.
* Sardis looks between the two swords.
* DocBlack sighs, "Sources." She watches Sardis, "I wouldn't touch them."
* Shiva` looks up at the prism

<DocBlack> Dead? But I thought we had to do this to save her!
<Shiva`> NRP: Janitor: Darn prism cracked again...*grabs a ladder*

<Shiva`> That prism up there is cracked...
<Garland> Left: Fate, God, whatever diety it is you all worship, has called for this to be resolved through Katrina.
<Garland> Right: Pay attention you idiots.
<DocBlack> What to be resolved? And why does she have to die for it?
<Sardis> Left: She doesn't have to die.
<DocBlack> How do we save her?
<Garland> Right: But she will.
<Garland> Left: The Emerald Sword.

* Shiva` places her hand against the prism, running it alongside the cracks
* DocBlack doesn't seem impressed by his posturing.
<Garland> Both: Don't touch it!
* Shiva` stops
<Shiva`> Why not?
<Garland> Both: If the crystal is damaged any further, this place will cease to be, and the planet will explode!
* DocBlack sighs, "Perhaps we should shut up, and listen to what you have to say."
<Shiva`> How do we fix it?
<Garland> Left: When the sword was broken by Garland Hianule, some of it's energy was released, creating a void within it.
<Garland> Right: And to replace that energy, it absorbed the emotions of those around it.
<Garland> Left: Thus you see our likenesses here.
<Garland> Right: Don't be mistaken, we aren't the sword. It's simply a vessel.
<Garland> Left: The stain of the darkness absorbed in the sword must be washed clean.
<Sardis> How do we do that?
<Garland> Both: You must find the one called Katrina.
<Garland> Left: She's within this palace.
* DocBlack nods slowly.
<Garland> Right: But if you take too long, she will die.
<DocBlack> What do we do when we find her?
<Garland> Left: Just as the sword amplifies your true self, you must find who you are inside.

<Katrina`> GM: *another hallway can barely be seen, off to the side*
<Sardis> We have to find... ourselves... to find Katrina?

* Shiva` turns her head to the hallway and begins walking towards it
<Katrina`> GM: *it's dark...and it's lined with mirrors*
* Garland looks at the various paths he could take.
<Garland> NRP: Sardis.
* DocBlack looks at the room to see what hallways there are for her to take.
* Shiva` walks down the hallway, looking at all the mirrors as she walks
<Katrina`> GM: *each of the hallways look the same for each of them. A hallway of mirrors*
* DocBlack walks down her hallway, looking at herself in the mirror with a bit of shame, and fear. A desire to drink.

<Katrina`> GM: *her reflects are just that. An aspects stares back, afraid...shaking. Another looks away, refusing to look at her directly. The next is one of her drinking herself...almost looking like a skeleton from the amount she has drank*
* Sardis looks into some mirrors.
<DocBlack> ....but there has to be something noble and pure. There has to be something worthwhile, something in me that's kept me going.... *she walks on*
* Shiva` looks on at her reflections with remorse, one of a lonely child standing there, another of her older but her hands stained with blood, another one has bodies laying around her, another looks happy and joyful*
<Katrina`> GM: *another mirror, though, larger than the rest, stares at her. In it is a dark, twisted, evil version, from the depths of her heart, staring at her. It stands there, mockingly. As if daring her to accept it*
<DocBlack> NRP: who's that one for? Black?
<Katrina`> NRP: Yep.
* Sardis sees a savage Tsivrisxh, wearing only a fur loin cloth, another is an admiral version of himself, the other a Tsiv council member, and the last is... Xevil.
* Shiva` continues walking, each one of the mirrors staring at her, some mocking some looking back with pity
<Katrina`> GM: *the Xevil version of Sardis leans forward, twisted. It's hard to draw away, but it's in him. This is in HIM*
* Garland takes a step back, looking at it.
<Garland> NRP: SARDIS.
<Sardis> You... I..I remember...
* DocBlack stops and looks at the mirror, and frowns, "So then my fears were true....but there were two Garlands.... two swords."
<Katrina`> GM: *finally, Shiva comes to a dark version of herself. It's twisted, distorted, and evil. It's from the depths of her soul and it stands there, everything wrong about her. Everything dark. It's there. Looking at shiva*
* Shiva` stops and looks at it
<Katrina`> GM: *the image leans forward, as if it would lean out of the mirror. It stares at Black*
<Katrina`> GM: *Xevil leans forward, as if willing Sardis to give in*
<Katrina`> GM: *the dark Shiva looks at her, drawing forward. None of them leave their mirrors, though*
* Shiva` reaches out towards the mirror
* DocBlack closes her eyes, and takes a step closer to the mirror, "This is why you drink." She tries to kiss the image's forhead, as if she's beginning to understand.
<Sardis> Is this... who I am inside?
<Katrina`> GM: *the second Shvia touches her mirrors, a flash and it's here. Not evil. Not afraid. Nothing. It's her. Who she has always been. A good person, fighting the chaotic forces*
<Katrina`> GM: *Black kisses the image, it becoming herself. Who she is. Someone who has fears, problems, but tries to justify them and live on, still, despite having "Died". She is who she is*
* DocBlack opens her eyes, and looks like she's about to cry with relief.
<Katrina`> NRP: Congrats for actually doing the RIGHT thing.
* Shiva` lets out a sigh
* DocBlack looks to herself, "We have work to do girl, and a youngen who needs saving."
* Sardis shakes his head and moves on.
* Shiva` shakes her head and looks for a way to go
* DocBlack also looks for the way to go

* Sardis continues looking.
<Katrina`> GM: *the dark image fades away. They all reach the same room at the same time*
* Katrina` sits there, playing with some flowers that are surrounding her. She looks oblivious to them.
* DocBlack looks to Sardis and Shiva, "....the hallways lead to the same room. Katrina."
* Shiva` walks towards Kat
* DocBlack follows after Shiva.
* Katrina` smells a flower, smiling at it. She puts it on her ear, adjusting it to look good with her hair.
* DocBlack kneels beside Katrina, and looks to her with a worried look on her face, "....Katrina?"
* Sardis walks over to Kat.
* Katrina` pauses, looking at Black. She smiles.
<Katrina`> Hello.
* DocBlack blinks, a bit surprised by the smile, "Katrina, do you know where you are?"
* Shiva` kneels down

* Katrina` stands up, looking at Shiva. She smiles brightly.

* Katrina` nods, stepping up shyly behind Shiva. The only hallway they can go, now, is one. It's in the direct middle.
* DocBlack stands, hoping Shiva knows what's going on.
* Shiva` starts walking towards the hallway thats appeared
<Sardis> Why are we so quick to lie to the girl, even with her like this, it can't help matters to trick her.
<Katrina`> Lie? Lying bad...
* Shiva` stops
* DocBlack looks to Sardis and whispers, "She has to find this out for herself, just like we did. This is who Katrina is, a girl waiting for her father to come home."
<DocBlack> NRP: and could I be more right?
<Sardis> And how do you know?
<Katrina`> NRP: Perhaps!
<Sardis> You're a doctor, not a therapist.
<DocBlack> Trust me, the simulation was a place of revelation.
* Katrina` begins to look distressed, trying to understand what's going on.
<Sardis> Katrina.
* Katrina` looks at Sardis.
* DocBlack whispers, "Please don't do this...."
<Sardis> You need to pick the mirror that means the most to you. Not the one that makes you the most happy or sad, but the one that reminds you of who you really are.
* Shiva` turns her head back at Sardis, narrowing her eyes at him
<Sardis> Can you do that for us?
* DocBlack smiles, "It's very important Katrina."
<Katrina`> I...I don't understand. Why?
<Shiva`> Do you want to follow in your father's footsteps?
* Katrina` nods.
<Sardis> Because, your friends need your help, and this is the way to help them.
<Sardis> And your father would do the same thing, wouldn't he?
<Shiva`> Then this is the first step in being as great as he is.
<Katrina`> A-Alright. *walks cautiously towards the hall of mirrors*

* Katrina` stops at the edge of the hallway, peering in. It's obviousy she's afraid.
* Shiva` walks up behind Kat and places her hand on her shoulder

* Katrina` steps forward. In the first mirror is five year old kat, holding a stuffed animal. She looks happy. Kat smiles at the image.
* Katrina` steps on, seeing Ariel. She smiles wider, almost touching the image, but stops. She steps on.
* Katrina` looks at an image of all Garland, Slasher, Snipe, Dias, and many others, all there. She looks at them fondly.
* Garland watches Kat, letting her do this on her own.
* DocBlack stands there, as Katrina's turn is now.
* Katrina` takes another step, looking at image of her, in her 20's, looking resigned to duty. Work. It shows. Kat takes a step back.
* Katrina` takes another step, looking at herself grieving. Over who or what, it's unknown. Sadness. She steps on, quicker now, as she looks at the next, of her smiling, obviously happy. Then, another step, looking at a mirror image of Death Star. She halts.
* Katrina` reaches out to touch it, when suddenly it shifts into a darker image of her. Despite all the goodness she shows, here is her dark side. She jerks back, surprised.
<Shiva`> NRP: Kat: No fair you tricked me!
* DocBlack knows Katrina can do it.
<Katrina`> ... *looks down, then at the others. She offers a faint smile* I guess I'm not as good as I thought...
<Sardis> NRP: <Katrina> Death Star is actually an evil little girl? Makes sense.
<Katrina`> NRP: LOL
* DocBlack offers a knowing smile, "No one is."
* Katrina` reaches out, her mirror image doing the same. They tough, the mirror ripling and she's back to normal, staring at her normal self.
<Katrina`> Where am I?
* Shiva` walks towards Kat
<DocBlack> ....I'm not sure I can answer that one.
<DocBlack> But let's get the hell out of here.
<Katrina`> GM: *just a little further in the room with the giant prism*
<Sardis> We don't know, exactly. But we need to take you to the Garlands.
<Katrina`> Alright... *nods, stepping into the prism chamber*
* DocBlack walks for the room with the prism

<Garland> NRP: Left: You cheated!

* Shiva` follows behind
* Katrina` looks around in awe, wincing a bit in pain. Her hand moves to her back.
* DocBlack glances at Katrina.

* Katrina` steps towards the broken prism. She reaches out, but stops on the "Wait!"
* DocBlack looks to Garland, "Where is the other one?!"

* Garland hisses and kicks her back.
* Katrina` is knocked back.
* Sardis draws his axe.

* Shiva` leaps forward and throws a roundhouse kick at Garlands head

* Katrina` rushes forwad and plants her hand on the prism. It begins to shake and shine with light.
* DocBlack watches the prism in awe
* Sardis eyes the emerald and ruby swords.
<Katrina`> GM: *at the same time, as the light gets brighter, the shadows become darker as it emerges. The Emerald Sword shines, the Ruby Sword flickers*
<Sardis> This can't be good...
<DocBlack> ...maybe it is....
<Sardis> The darkness is getting darker.
<Shiva`> So pessimistic Sardis. Your the one who wanted her to touch it.
<Katrina`> When there is light, there has to be darkness.
<DocBlack> But the light is getting lighter.
<Katrina`> GM: *finally, the prism is restored. However, the darkness, expelled, begins to float as cloud around the ruby sword*
<Sardis> That's right... the light said the sword was neither good nor evil.
<Sardis> So there has to be a balance.
<DocBlack> ....is that good though.... *points to the ruby sword*
<Katrina`> GM: *it forms a shadow creature, finally. It takes the Ruby Sword in hand.*

* DarkEnergy steps forward, roaring.

* Shiva` changes direction and lungekicks towards teh DarkEnergy's chest

* Katrina` grabs the sword at the same time as Shiva. Energy flickers off around them.
* DarkEnergy slashes at Sardis for 1000 AP.
<Sardis> NRP: Nope, Kat gets it!
* Sardis flies back into the wall.
* DocBlack so wishes she had a weapon right now!
<Shiva`> NRP: I never grabbed it.
<Sardis> NRP: I was talking to DS>

* Katrina` steps back, holding the Emerald Sword.
* DocBlack runs over to Sardis, and checks on him
<Sardis> NRP: I was talking to DS when I said I was talking to DS. HAH!
<Katrina`> GM: *at the same time, Emerald Swords appear in each of their hands, except Sardis. A ruby sword appears in his*
* Sardis staggers to his feet.
* DocBlack blinks for a moment, and then stands, "I wish I took fencing in high school...."
* DarkEnergy swings the Ruby Sword down at Sardis.
* Sardis eyes the ruby sword.
* Sardis parries with the sword.
* Shiva` looks down at the Emerald Sword
* DarkEnergy strains against Sardis.
* DocBlack brings her sword up, and tries to stab at the Dark Energy
* Katrina` runs up and stabs the creature, shining light into it.
* DarkEnergy is stabbed by Doc, too, roaring as the light fills it.
* Sardis grunts, holding the block.
* Shiva` throws the sword at the DarkEnergy's back
<Sardis> ... I have a ruby sword.... tch...
* DarkEnergy is hit. It takes damage!
* DocBlack tries to push the sword in further, grunting.
* DarkEnergy vanishes.
* DocBlack falls foward.
* DarkEnergy reappears on the other side, all weapons back to their respective users.
* Katrina` stands next to Sardis, holding the Emerald Sword up.
* Sardis closes his eyes.
* DarkEnergy rushes at Kat. When she goes to block, the Ruby Sword phases through and hits her.
<Katrina`> Aie!
* Katrina` falls back.
* Shiva` darts at the DarkEnergy, doing a spinning slash aimed at it's chest
<DocBlack> Katrina!
* DarkEnergy notes the attack has no effect.
* DocBlack glances to Sardis, "You didn't pass the test. You didn't accept yourself."
<Sardis> KATRINA!
<Sardis> Shut up, Black!
<DocBlack> You have a ruby sword!
* Sardis runs at the creature and slashes hard at it with the Ruby, just to get it off of Kat.
* DarkEnergy goes to parry. Their blades lock.
* Katrina` stands up, panting.
* Sardis presses against the blade.
* DocBlack sighs, and runs foward, against stabbing at the Dark Energy
* DarkEnergy stabs the creature again, shining light into it. Black does the same.
<Katrina`> NRP: Kat did that.
<Sardis> Maybe I didn't pass any test, but who the hell are you people to point it out?
* DarkEnergy begins to break free of the light.
<Sardis> ... Maybe I do have a dark side...
<Shiva`> The good kind.
<DocBlack> The one in the mess you might have caused by not passing it.
<DarkEnergy> Shiva...hit it...
<DarkEnergy> NRP: KAT.
* Shiva` darts forward lunge striking at it's neck
* Sardis presses hard against the dark energy.
* DarkEnergy is hit and damaged! It vanishes.
* DarkEnergy appears off to the side.
<Sardis> NRP: Huh?
* Katrina` pants.
* DocBlack again stumbles fowad.
<DocBlack> ...we're getting no where.
<Katrina`> NRP: Shiva hurt it with her lunge.
<Sardis> NRP: Oh.
* Sardis eyes the red sword.
* DarkEnergy roars, looking angry.
* Katrina` yelps, grabbing her back in pain.
* Shiva` spins the blade around in a propellor motion and jams it in the ground dragging it infront of her
* DarkEnergy advances.
* DocBlack glances to Katrina, and rushes the darkenergy, stabbing at it again
* DarkEnergy isn't hurt by Black's attack.
* Katrina` slashes the DE, causing no damage.
* Shiva` sprints forward and drags it along the ground towards the DarkEnergy
<DocBlack> ....Katrina, we're doing something wrong....
<Katrina`> I...don't know what...
* Sardis glares at the Dark Energy, dashing towards it.
* DarkEnergy stabs at Katrina.
<DocBlack> KATRINA!
* Katrina` is hit again, shrieking as she falls back.
<Sardis> Leave her alone! *jumps at it, slashing downward*
* DarkEnergy raises it blade to block. Their blades lock again.
* Shiva` does an uppercut slash at the DarkEnergy's side
* DarkEnergy is hit!
* DocBlack rushes over to Katrina, skidding along the ground to see if she's okay.
* Katrina` forces herself up, straining
* DarkEnergy is filled with partial light by Shvia.
<Katrina`> Hurry...it's...taking damage...again...
* DocBlack stands, and nods. She lunges at the darkenergy, stabbing at it again
* Sardis presses back against the evil.
* DarkEnergy roars in pain, filled with more light.
* Shiva` spins around and comes slashing downwards at it again
* Katrina` slashes the DE. It roars and takes damage. It vanishes.
* DarkEnergy reappears. It seems to be weaker now.
* DocBlack glances about for it.
* Sardis slashes at it again.
<Shiva`> Sardis block it's attack
* DarkEnergy parries the blow, their blades locking.
<Sardis> No shit? You figure that out by yourself?
* Sardis grits his teeth.
* DocBlack sees the plan, and once more, stabs at the dark energy
* Katrina` rushes the creature, stabbing it. It's filled with lights. Black does the same.
* Shiva` dashes forward then leaps up and steps on Sardis' head flipping off it slashing at the DarkEnergys back
* DarkEnergy roars in pain and is destroyed.
*** DarkEnergy has left #taw
* DocBlack falls, panting
<Katrina`> GM: *the emerald swords all vanish except in Kat's hand. Sardis' Ruby Sword remains, too*
* Sardis glares at Shiva.
* Shiva` faces away from Sardis
* DocBlack stands, "....no let's get the hell out of here?"
<Shiva`> What next?
<Katrina`> GM: *suddenly, Ruby Sword and Emerald Sword fly into each other, morphing into one sword. The Emerald Sword. Light and Dark are in balance*
<Sardis> First you try to kill me, then you use me as a stepping stone. I see who you really are, regardless of whatever the mirror whoed you.
<Sardis> *showed
<Shiva`> The deadly kind Sardis.
<Katrina`> GM: *suddenly, they're all drowning in hot green goo again. As they fight their way to the surface, they find Skaad kneeling over Kat, who still has the sword in her back*
* Sardis looks at the sword.
*** Skaad has joined #taw
* Shiva` breaks the surface of the hot green goo and takes in a huge breath of air
* DocBlack pulls herself to land, and looks at the sword.
* Skaad grabs the sword, electricity flying over his body. He strains and pulls the sword out as the attacks fly over him.
* Skaad throws the sword away into the side of the shuttle, where it falls to the ground. He staggers back, his wounds reopening, and collapses.
<Sardis> NRP: What attacks?
* Katrina` 's wounds begins to heal.
<Katrina`> NRP: The attacks of electricity.
* DocBlack watches Katrina heal.
<DocBlack> ....amazing.
* Shiva` grabs onto a ledge and pulls herself onto it
* Skaad grips his stomach, trying to keep his insides in...but it's useless. He takes ragged breaths.
<Skaad> Good...job...
<Shiva`> We couldn't have done it without you Skaad.
* Katrina` rolls over, moaning softly. She seems to be asleep.
* DocBlack moves over to Skaad, and begins to look over his wounds, and see if she can do anything.
* Skaad is too far gone. He slumps forward, trying to maintain his dignity.
* Shiva` pulls Kat onto land and then picks her up
<Skaad> I...couldn't...leave you to die...
<Sardis> ...
* DocBlack does the only thing she can. She gives him a painkiller to at least give him comfort.
* Shiva` makes her way to her shuttle as fast as she can
* Skaad makes a gesture at Sardis, a warrior's gesture, from one warrior to another.
<DocBlack> Hush... save your strength. *she looks to Skaad with compassion*
* Sardis nods to Skaad.
<DocBlack> NRP: Skaad is a Tsiv right?
<Katrina`> NRP: Yes.
<Skaad> My honor...is restored...?
<DocBlack> NRP: whoa, look at Black being tolerant tonight :P
<Sardis> It is... Skaad... it is...
* Skaad nods, his red eyes dimming. He slumps over, dead.
<Katrina`> NRP: A long session, I know, but I hope it was worth it.
<DocBlack> NRP: twas.
<DocBlack> ....I'm getting the hell out of here.... *she stands, and moves off to the shuttle*
<Katrina`> GM: *the planet quakes. Everything is out of control now*
<Katrina`> GM: *the emerald sword lays on the ground, waiting to be claimed*
<Sardis> NRP: I liked it when people were discouraging me from doing anything, but once I got my idea out they ran with it like they were with me the whole time!
* Shiva` reaches the shuttle and lays Kat onto it
* Sardis picks tghe sword up.
<Shiva`> NRP: It was the other way around Sardis.
<Katrina`> Bob: *lifts off his shuttle, flying off with Shiva and Kat*
<Katrina`> GM: *the second shuttle awaits Sardis*
* DocBlack gets into the shuttle, and waits for Sardis.
* Sardis gets on the shuttle as well.
* DocBlack glances to him, and the sword, "You think you would fare as well as other mortals with that?"
<Sardis> Who said I was going to keep it?
* Sardis looks at DocBlack harshly.
<Katrina`> GM: *Bob arrives on the Aquarius*
*** Skaad is now known as Captain_Drake
* Captain_Drake is waiting for them in the hanger.
* DocBlack shrugs, "Let's go home."
<Sardis> You're driving.
<DocBlack> Are you sure? I'm drunk, and I failed my road test.
<Katrina`> GM: *the planet begins to distort, as if it's pulling itself in*
<Captain_Drake> Where are the others? Enjoying the view?
<Sardis> Fine.
* DocBlack squints, and then begins to pilot the shuttle anyway, though without grace or non jerkiness
<DocBlack> do you like music? I drive better with the radio on.
<Shiva`> Comm: I think we should get going.
<Katrina`> GM: *as the shuttle escapes the gravity, the planet almost sucks into itself, vanishing from this reality. All that is left when it's done is a tiny hole, barely visible in the blackness of space*
* Sardis doesn't answer.
* DocBlack hits the button to play music, and if it kicks on, it's an oldies station.
<Katrina`> GM: *Doc's shuttle lands. None to gracefully*
<DocBlack> NRP: Sardis must be in Hell :)
* DocBlack laughs and whoops as she actually makes it, "I did it! Whee!"
<Sardis> NRP: I like oldies.
* Captain_Drake shakes head at the landing.
* Sardis gets off the shuttle.
<DocBlack> NRP: I like em too, but would Sardis like them? :P
<Captain_Drake> .oO (This team is a danger. But to WHO?)
* DocBlack hops off the shuttle, looking damn proud of herself.
* Sardis walks over to Drake.
<Captain_Drake> I take it Katrina is fine?
<DocBlack> I so need to go on more away missions.
* Shiva` carries Kat off her shuttl
<Sardis> It appear athat way.
<Captain_Drake> Where is the prisoner?
<Shiva`> She's just asleep right now.
<DocBlack> Dead.
<Captain_Drake> ...Did you have to kill him?
<Sardis> He died pulling the sword out.
<Captain_Drake> I see.
* DocBlack nods.
<Sardis> ... Which isn't evil anymore.
* Captain_Drake glances at Sardis, who is in possession of it.
<Captain_Drake> Plan on keeping it?
*** Garland has quit IRC (Quit: What makes one 'alive'? Is it nothing more than a sustained chemical reaction? Or is it having a soul?)
<DocBlack> Which we should keep from anyone so it's not currupted again.
<Shiva`> I think it belongs to Katrina.
<DocBlack> Or Katrina, she's good with swords.
<Sardis> That's for her to decide when she wakes up.
<Captain_Drake> I doubt she'll use it. I think she has sentimental attachment to that sabre.
* Captain_Drake nods do it on her hip.
* DocBlack nods, knowing where it came from.
<DocBlack> You know what? Let's all go to the lounge. I'm buying.
<Shiva`> I'm gonna drop Katrina off.
<Captain_Drake> Duty calls for me. *nods curtly, walking off*
*** Captain_Drake has left #taw
* Shiva` begins walking towards Kat's Quarters
<Sardis> I have no intention of using the sword, I'll put it in a safe place untill Kat wakes up.
<DocBlack> ...Roght....
<DocBlack> Okay. *she looks as everyone leaves her, and her hand pulls close against Snipe's comm*
<Katrina`> NRP: You guys RPed out?
<Sardis> NRP: I'm done.
<Shiva`> NRP: I'm spent
<DocBlack> NRP: ja, bed time should be nowish
