Royal Guards Session 1: The Quest

[GM] Location: London, England. The Royal Guardsmen are sittin in their room in Buckingham Palace
* RoyalGuard sits in the corner, quietly
* Diaz sits in a chair sipping his tea

[Diaz] I wonder what crack job the Queen's gonna have for us this time....

* James_Connor takes off his hat, putting on his big pencil eraser hat-thing for the guardship
[Diaz] So this is all the Guardsmen we could muster up?

[James_Connor] Did you expect the bloody French armada?
[Diaz] Well I atleast expected more than a trio...

[GM] GM: A knocking on the door can be heard
[Pteryx] [Barking is heard...]
[Diaz] ...Did you guys hear something?

* KainMoonblade [NRP]may be taking a step out...
[James_Connor] Ah, but a single Royal Guardsmen of her Majesty's court is more than enough in the British Empire.
[Diaz] Hey uh..James is it? Go check to see what those noises were?

* KainMoonblade continues to make barking noises outside the door

* Dog wags its tail...

[James_Connor] Leave my dog alone, you naive! Laddy, sit.
* James_Connor looks at the Dog
* RoyalGuard walks over to the door, stepping on the dog's foot, then opens the door
[Dog] Yowp!
* Dog whimpers...
* KainMoonblade leaves the dog to its own devices
[GM] Guard: The Queens ready chaps.
* James_Connor pets Laddy
[RoyalGuard] ...
* KainMoonblade stands at attention
* GM tursn around and starts walking towards the main hall
* RoyalGuard follows
* Dog looks to be some strange crossbreed, brown in color and posessing many fluffy parts.  He sits right away for James.
[James_Connor] Laddy, come. *walks, following*
*** Dog is now known as Laddy
[Diaz] Well that's our cue..*sets down the tea while he gets up and walks after him*
* KainMoonblade follows
* Laddy follows James eagerly.
[GM] Queen: *sits on her throne waiting for the Royal Guardsmen*
* RoyalGuard walks in and stands at attention
* KainMoonblade follows suit
* Diaz stands straight next to RoyalGuard and bows down
* James_Connor mimics the RG
[RoyalGuard] ...
[GM] Ahhh Royal...My favorite Guard....
* James_Connor wistles, telling Laddy to join his side
[GM] NRP: That was the queen...
* Laddy sits, whimpering a bit in confusion.
[RoyalGuard] NRP: No, that looked like the GM
* Laddy trits over to James.

[GM] Queen: Here's your latest mission. You four shall go and pick up my new Royal Jewels over in Scotland and escort them back to me.

* GM nods at the Queen and turns around and walks off
* James_Connor bows "Your will be done, Majesty"

* KainMoonblade follows GM
[GM] Queen: *Glares at the Dog*

* James_Connor walks
* RoyalGuard follows Diaz
* James_Connor wistles once to Laddy
* Laddy whimpers a little, cocking his head at the Queen...
[GM] Queen: I advise you keep that dog on a leash or it's off with it's heaD!!!!
* Laddy looks at James in confusion -- he's already next to him...

[Diaz] Well we should head to the harbor....
* RoyalGuard sizes up Laddy's neck
[Diaz] NRP: I don't care if London's not near the ocean...in my world it is!
* Laddy growls at the guard...
* RoyalGuard stamps once on Laddy's tail and walks off after Diaz
[Laddy] NRP: There's a nice handy river IRL...  ;)
* KainMoonblade walks to the harbor with his sword dangling at his side
* Diaz exits Buckingham palace and heads to the Storage Room

[Diaz] Come Royal let us pick up our supplies.
* Laddy yelps in pain, then growls as the guard leaves...

[GM] GM: In the supplie shed, there's several well made swords, several old-fashioned pistols, a case of gun powder and supplies, and food*
* RoyalGuard grabs a sword and a pistol, grabbing some gun powder

[GM] GM: Down at the Harbor the Royal Ship Cristened Titanic rocks next to the dock

[Laddy] NRP: Are we losing Gar or what?...
* Diaz grabs his Rapier and puts it in it's sheath and the grabs a gun and some powder.

[RoyalGuard] NRP: Doomsday.

* Diaz tosses some other things into a crate and grabs one end of it
[KainMoonblade] NRP:Should we talk?
[Diaz] Royal, care to grab the other end so we can carry it down?
[RoyalGuard] ...
* RoyalGuard grabs the other end and lifts it up easily
* KainMoonblade [NRP]'s heart is going about two hundred beats per second
[Diaz] Don't give me that tone...*starts walking down the cobblestone path towards the Harbor
* RoyalGuard follows

[GM] *People are out and about doing their things*

* Laddy (NRP) thinks we lost Gar a few screens ago...

* RoyalGuard glances at Diaz and then back at the man
[GM] Man: GRRR!!! *headbutts Roya*
* RoyalGuard walks off
[James_Connor] NRP: I'm alive, mom wanted something done "now"
* RoyalGuard lets him headbutt air
[GM] Man: Grrr....I'll let you get away this time!!! *several people are laughing at him* SHUT UP OR I'll KICK ALL YO ASSES!!
* KainMoonblade lays down on the bed and falls asleep, snoring loudly
* James_Connor adjusts his hat
* RoyalGuard walks along side the crate
* Diaz continues dragging the crate

* Laddy shakes himself off quickly.  He pants, seeming ready to get wet again...

* RoyalGuard walks past the dog and gives it a quick boot, knocking it over the boat
* Laddy runs to James...
* Laddy cries out as he's kicked off...
* KainMoonblade gets up and walks to the deck, "So, is everything in order?"

[Diaz] Nice weather were gonna have...*looks as it's cloudy
[James_Connor] Laddy!
* RoyalGuard walks over to a crate and sits down
[Diaz] Aright...MEN AT YOUR POSTS!!!
* James_Connor runs over to the side, looking for him
[Laddy] NRP: Oh, sure, pick on the dog...  You do realize you're setting yourself up to be killed in my epic?  ;)
[GM] *several ship crewmen run to there posts*
* KainMoonblade looks around dumbfoundedly, wondering where his post is
[RoyalGuard] NRP: *will just have to prevent letting you get an epic*
* James_Connor looks for Laddy
[James_Connor] LADDY!
[Diaz] Let's get this ship on the move!!
* Laddy is keeping his head above water easily enough...
* Laddy barks in response to James...
* James_Connor dives into the water
[KainMoonblade] NRP:Yay, Im one step closer to getting to do an epic
* RoyalGuard removes the ramp to get on the ship
* James_Connor yells up to them
* KainMoonblade throws a rope over the edge
[James_Connor] Wait a moment! I'm getting my dog, chaps!
[RoyalGuard] ...
[GM] *The sails drop, and the mast swings around flying towards Kain's back*
* RoyalGuard looks over the edge
* James_Connor takes hold of the rope
* KainMoonblade ties it tpo a pole and walks off to the lower decks
[James_Connor] Thank you much!
* James_Connor takes laddy under his arm as he pulls himself up the rope
[GM] *The anchor is pulled up and hte ship behind to move out*
* RoyalGuard walks over to the rope and looks down
[Diaz] NRP: BRB POTTY TIME
* Laddy shakes himself off again once on deck, then growls at the royal guard...
[RoyalGuard] ...
* James_Connor sits on the railing, exhausted
* James_Connor looks at Laddy
* Diaz pulls out his Rapier and slashes at the air practicing
[James_Connor] How'd you get down there?
* Laddy abrks once nastily at the guard.
[GM] *A pulley falls from sky landing infront of Laddy*
[Laddy] NRP: barks, even.
[RoyalGuard] ...
* RoyalGuard looks up
[James_Connor] Eep!
* James_Connor looks at the Royal Guard
* Laddy yelps in shock...

* RoyalGuard shrugs
[Laddy] NRP: You know, ganging up on poor innocent dogs isn't nice...
[Diaz] Come Royal, let us sharpen our skills...

* RoyalGuard walks off, stepping on Laddy's tail, ignoring Diaz
* James_Connor narrows his eyes
* KainMoonblade unsheathes his sword "Alkaiser", a 7 foot two handed long sword, the blade is five feet long, the sword shines gold in the light but from a distance looks to be silver, on the hilt and crossface runes can be seen, giving the blade holy power, and great speed, the handle is Ivory white, and the crossface and hilt a metallic blue
[James_Connor] Something is amiss with that chap... 
* Laddy screeches in pain...
* RoyalGuard stands at the bow of the ship, looking out over the water
* James_Connor pets Laddy
[GM] *Water splashes against the ship as it sails towards Scotland*
[James_Connor] Serves you right for having your tail so vulnerable.
* Laddy kisses James in return, staying as close as he can.
* KainMoonblade walks over and sits down on the ground on the upper deck
[James_Connor] NRP: ...Laddy did what now?
[RoyalGuard] NRP: Laddy asked you for a date.
* Diaz swings his Rapier above him and then darts it forward several times
[Laddy] NRP: You know.  Dog kisses?  Licking?
[James_Connor] NRP: First time I've heard it called kissing..
[Laddy] NRP: Really?  It's called that all the time around here.
[James_Connor] NRP: Must be a yankee thing.
[Laddy] NRP: Could be.
[RoyalGuard] NRP: The south shall raise again!
* Diaz turns to Kain
[RoyalGuard] NRP: Rise!
[Diaz] Kain, let us spar to pass the time..

[RoyalGuard] ...
* RoyalGuard paces the deck
* KainMoonblade looks up
* James_Connor glances at his claymore, in it's long sheith
* RoyalGuard passes Laddy
[KainMoonblade] I guess, nothing to physical, I am not a skilled man
[James_Connor] I don't care for people hurting my dog. *glances at Royal* Know that.
* Laddy growls lowly as the guard passes near.
*** N-LAN_party has quit IRC (Ping timeout)
* KainMoonblade stands up and puts his sword up in a fighting stance
* RoyalGuard turns to the dog and advances menacingly
[GM] *A gust of Wind picks up*
* Diaz holds his Rapier high above his head
[KainMoonblade] Ready?
* Laddy barks a couple of times fiercely.
[Diaz] Let's see what oyu can do with that big clumsy sword.
* RoyalGuard keeps advancing the more he barks
* James_Connor watches Royal, his hand slowly trailing towards the hilt of his sword, just in case
* KainMoonblade stands at the guard, "Swing first.."

* Diaz darts forward shovin the blade forward

* KainMoonblade steps right, pulling his sword left to knock the rapier's blade the other way

* RoyalGuard stops within 2 feet of the dog
* James_Connor watches Royal
* Laddy growls more, his hackles raised as best they can be while damp.
* Diaz is spun around, swingin his Rapier back around towards the side of Kain
* RoyalGuard stands there, eyeing the dog
* KainMoonblade rolls left quickly and hops to the advance, slashing his sword at Diaz
* Laddy just keeps growling, making no move...
* Diaz brings his sword up and blocks the slash pushing against Kain
* RoyalGuard stands there, not moving, just staring
[Diaz] Quite skilled for such a big sword..
* Laddy stares back...
* RoyalGuard stares
* KainMoonblade jumps backward, sending a slash coming left under Diaz's guard
[GM] *A Seagull lands on top of RoyalGuard*
* James_Connor 's hand rests on the hilt of his sword
* Laddy 's growl softens a bit as he keeps staring...
* RoyalGuard darts up and grabs the seagull, breaks it's neck, and drops it in front of the dog; he continues to stare
* Diaz flips up and lands on Jame's sword pressing it to the deck of the ship
[GM] Seagull: *Caws once and then dies*
[KainMoonblade] NRP:James..?
[James_Connor] ......
* Laddy 's growl surges for a moment but he just keeps staring...
* RoyalGuard stares
[James_Connor] Tis not the time to be eyeing a dog when ye should be eyeing the eyes of a man.
* James_Connor glares at him
* RoyalGuard ignores James

[GM] *Several SeaGulls caw from above and swoop at Royal*
[Diaz] NRP: Kain I made my move.
[KainMoonblade] NRP:Yes, to James sword..?
* RoyalGuard ignores them
[Diaz] NRP: MEan yours..
[James_Connor] .....
[KainMoonblade] NRP:Ok, just making sure....
* Laddy keeps eye contact, his growl almost too deep in his throat to be heard...
* RoyalGuard stares back
[GM] *They all land on Royal and peck at his clothes&
* KainMoonblade drops the sword and rolls back, pulling a dagger and flinging it at Diaz head
* RoyalGuard ignores them, keeping his eye on the dog
* James_Connor rests his hand on Laddy
[James_Connor] Calm.
* Diaz brings his sword up knocking hte dagger into the air and then catches it when it falls
* Laddy 's growl fades reluctantly...
* KainMoonblade runs forward and slides at Diaz feet grabbing the handle of his sword
* RoyalGuard moves forward half an inch
[Diaz] *slides the sword out of Kains reach*
[Laddy] ...
[RoyalGuard] ...
[James_Connor] Come any closer and you will deal with me, naive.
[Laddy] NRP: knave, even?
[GM] *The seagulls starts staring at Laddy*
* KainMoonblade stands up, "Alright, you bested me...I have no will to spar anymore..."
* RoyalGuard stares at the dog still

[Diaz] Kicks the sword back to him
* Diaz kicks the sword back to him
* KainMoonblade picks up the sword and sheathes it
[Diaz] Your quite handy with such a sword..*tosses the dagger and it lands inbetween Royal and Laddy
* Laddy quietly returns the gaze...
[KainMoonblade] Good fight, you are skilled, I am not a skilled swordsman...
* Laddy jumps back from the dagger in surprise with a yelp.
* RoyalGuard is not phased, staring at Laddy
[Diaz] Ahh it takes time...So who do you think's gonna win?
[James_Connor] ....
[KainMoonblade] Th dog.
[KainMoonblade] NRP:The..even
* James_Connor pull his claymore out half an inch
[Diaz] ...I don't know...Royal's like a statue dude....
* RoyalGuard advances to the point where the dagger landed, keeping his eyes on Laddy
[GM] *The sun starts to set as crewmen hustle around lighting lanterns*
[KainMoonblade] Yes, but that dog looks more intelligent then him.
* Laddy growls once at the guard, looking him in the eye again.
[Diaz] I wouldn't say that too loud..
[James_Connor] NRP: Laddy! How what's on the top of a house!?
* RoyalGuard grabs the dagger and throws it Kain's head without looking, it landing in the wood of the ship a few inches from him
[GM] Several crewment sit down around the two and watch them stare
[James_Connor] NRP: Laddy: RUFF!
* RoyalGuard keeps his eyes on Laddy the entire time
* KainMoonblade grabs his dagger, stuffs it in his shirt where the sheathe is, and sits down on the deck
* James_Connor jumps to his feet
* James_Connor draws his blade
[James_Connor] You could have hit him! Draw, knave!
* Laddy barks at the guard...
* RoyalGuard ignores James
* RoyalGuard stares at the dog
[James_Connor] Listen to me, fool! I won't wait for you to draw if you refuse!
* RoyalGuard ignores James
[GM] GM: TIME PASSES. The Sun Rises. IT's another day..
* Laddy keeps barking aggressively....
* RoyalGuard keeps staring, having not moved all night
* James_Connor stands there, his sword still drawn
* KainMoonblade wakes up and gets up
* Diaz walks up onto the deck streatchin out
[Diaz] ...You two still going at it?!
* Laddy is curled up in front of James, asleep.
[GM] *Several dolphins follow the ship leaping out of the water*
[James_Connor] No, chap, simply reopening old wounds.
* James_Connor sheiths his sword
* RoyalGuard stands there, having ignored James all night
[James_Connor] *clicking sound* Laddy, come. Let us get come breakfast.
[Diaz] Well we should almost be there...*grabs a telescope and looks seeing the Coast of Scotland*
* KainMoonblade walks over grabs a bite to eat, and walks back to the deck laying down
* RoyalGuard turns around and steps on the dog's foot, walking over to Diaz
* Laddy lifts his head groggily, giving a short whine...
* Laddy yelps again...
[KainMoonblade] NRP:G2G for now, Ill be back As soon as possible

* James_Connor heads to the lower decks
[Diaz] It's quite a beautiful site is it not?

* RoyalGuard walks down onto the docks
* Diaz walks onto the docks
* James_Connor comes up with laddy, going onto the docks as well
[GM] *Fisherman are bringing in their fish and a market can be seen being set up*
* RoyalGuard looks at Laddy and throws him a biscit
[RoyalGuard] NRP: Damn typos
[GM] NRP: Yeah...too nice.
* Laddy follows James eagerly, sniffing to take in the scents of the harbor...
* James_Connor smiles to laddy, scratching his ear
[GM] *A fish twice the size of Laddy flops off a rack and slaps James in the face*
* Laddy whimpers in confusion and sniffs the biscuit.

* James_Connor jumps, slashing the fish in two from shock
