<DeathStar> 6* Everyone on the team, in the early hours of the morning, got a datapad message from Darien Starr: Meet me in the living room at 11 for a meeting. It is now 5 minutes before the meeting time
* Xanatos steps into the house, walking over to the couch and plops down onto it with a thud. His eyes are drawn in and it seems he hasn't been sleeping.
* Setsuna` winces as Xanatos flops on her. "Hey!"
* Xanatos pulls himself up. "You shouldn't crowd the cough." He says in a dull tone, moving over to the side and sitting in the floor.
* Setsuna` sits up, holding her bad arm. "There's lots of chairs."
* Cassandra_Arakawa has joined #pax-season6session21TeamDarien
<Xanatos> But the couch is much more comfortable. *He notes with a yawn*
<DeathStar> 6* The door opens and slams shut. Darien has arrived for the scheduled meeting in the living room. As he walks in, wearing a black jacket and jeans, his hair unkept and his face unshaven, he seems like he's been up for a long time.
* Xanatos doesn't look in Darien's direction. He just keeps his stare up at the ceiling.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien moves into the living room, facing in front of Setsuna and Xanatos, since they are there. He grunts, not seeing Cassandra.
* Setsuna` half waves to Darien. "Yo, boss."
<DeathStar> <Darien> Well, I'm going to say my bit, with or without Cassandra Arakawa.
* Cassandra_Arakawa moves down the stairs, wearing full military uniform. She strides into the living room and then snaps into a salute.
<Cassandra_Arakawa> Sir, I am ready to accept full responsiblity for the inaction that took place.
* Xanatos just snorts at Cassandra.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien glances at him, then glances at everyone. ".... Sit down."
<DeathStar> NRP: To cass.
* Setsuna` flops back on the couch.
* Xanatos never bothered to stand, and kept his nice seat on the floor.
* Cassandra_Arakawa moves to sit, stiff as any leatherneck.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Erevis is dead. 6He begins to talk. "One of our own is dead while the team sits by and lets John McCormick lead her to her death. Maybe you thought Katrina should come back, maybe you thought Erevis deserved the fate. It doesn't matter. EREVIS was on this team, not Katrina. EREVIS was your teammate. And you all did nothing.
* Xanatos looks down as Darien talks. His hands clenched.
<DeathStar> <Darien> You all got nothing back in return, anyway. 6He says more to Xanatos than anything. "Erevis was all there was left. Now John has a vegetable of a body that needs lifesupport to stay alive, because there is no soul in it to give it thought - or personality."
* Xanatos tightens his hands harder, shaking.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien looks at them. "I started this team with a purpose. I wanted you all to be on it because I thought we could bring something to the table together. I don't believe in that anymore." 6He reaches out and tosses down a document to Cassandra. "Your freedom, Cassandra Arakawa. Your body is now your own. If you treat it right, and keep minor repairs, you can take any job you want, military or non-military, and afford it."
<DeathStar> <Darien> You are no longer required to serve EarthGov. Use your freedom as you see fit.
<Cassandra_Arakawa> ...yes, sir.
* Setsuna` closes her eyes. She would have a hard time getting a clear bill of health now, let alone then.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien tosses two more forms down to Setsuna and Xanatos, filled out except for their signature and an assignment. "These will allow you to take any assignment in EarthGov you want. Fill in the job you want, and you will get it. I pulled the strings to see that you get the job you want. You will get it."
<DeathStar> <Darien> The house is paid for up until the end of next month. Stay until then if you want. I included the address of the hospital that John checked Katrina's body into it in your documents, Xanatos. 6He turns to go
<Setsuna`> "...what happened to her?"
<Xanatos> I let her die. *he breaths, his voice weak*
<DeathStar> 6 *Darien shakes his head, moving to step out of the living room.
<Cassandra_Arakawa> I hesitated because I thought I couldn't beat McCormick...should have tried anyway..the good fight is what counts... *heads back up the stairs*
<DeathStar> 6* Opening the front door, Darien motions to the person in the van seat to get the van cranked up
* Xanatos pulls himself up to his feet and grabs his document, he searchs for the address inside it.
* Cassandra_Arakawa goes into her room and starts packing...
<Xanatos> * Kane starts up the van, waiting for Darien.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien opens the driver seat and pulls himself up into it, slamming the door shut. "Lets go get that Origin piece and your woman."
<Xanatos> <Kane> Alright. I wish there was something I could do. *he said earnestly*
<DeathStar> <Darien> There will be. 6He reverses the van, eyeing the house one more time. "But this is something that needs to be done with people who have a personal stake in the fight. Not soldiers."
* Setsuna` looks to Xanatos as she sits up, "...where is she now?"
<Xanatos> <Kane> Understood.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien pulls out sharply, shifting gears and drives away from the building.
<DeathStar> <Darien> V.I. I'm coming for you now.
* Xanatos looks over at Setsuna. "The hospital down the street...god i'm such a fool." He says with a sigh.
* Setsuna` gets up and grabs her jacket, starting for the door.
* Xanatos follows behind Setsuna. "You going to see her too?"
<Setsuna`> "...I failed to protect her too."
* Xanatos nods his head, and moves back out the door, turning to walk down the street, heading for that hospital.
* Cassandra_Arakawa comes back downstairs, dressed in her civvies...bag over her shoulder.
<DeathStar> 6* The hospital isn't too far from the location of their house.
* Setsuna` walks. She could use the air
* Xanatos is very quiet, his hands thrusted into his pockets and his eyes locked forward, he slides into the hospital and stops at the reception desk. "I'm looking for a girl. She is on life support. Red hair.." He begins to describe her. "Might be under the name Katrina McCormick."
<DeathStar> 6* The receptionist gives them the room number - 4 floors up.
* Xanatos nods his thanks and moves toward the elevator. He waits for Setsuna to get in the elevator, then hits the floor button.
<DeathStar> 6* As the doors open, John - not even in disguise - can be seen talking to his mom outside a room. The two seem quite animated.
<DeathStar> 6* With some shouting.
* Xanatos frowns. "Damn..." He dropped his head and slid out of the elevator, not even bothering to move forward.
* Setsuna` quietly goes to slip by the two, as if she doesn't even notice them.
<DeathStar> 6* John stops when as he watches Setsuna go by. He doesn't stop her, instead keeping his mother focused on him.
<DeathStar> 6* Inside, Katrina is indeed hooked up to lifesupport - having no brain waves.
* Xanatos watches Setsuna move by, and is curious if he could do that. He shakes his head and moves forward, intent of seeing Katrina.
<DeathStar> 6* John's mother turns and sees Xan, recognizing him immediately.
* Xanatos frowns and slides to a stop. He stares down at his feet.
* Setsuna` moves over to Katrina's side, and sits, a frown growing on her lips
<DeathStar> <John's Mother> Oh, thank God you're here, Xan. It's horrible. I don't know how this could happen. She looked so healthy ... 6She breaks down crying and John grabs her, holding her.
* Xanatos opens his mouth to speak, and he stares at John for a moment. "I'm going to see her." He finally says in a weak exhale, stepping forward.
<DeathStar> 6* John says nothing, just holding his mother.
* Xanatos moves over to Katrina's side and kneels down, he moves to grab her hand. His face is pale and he seems to be shaking lightly.
<DeathStar> 6* No response. It seems Darien was right.
* Xanatos sinks down to his knees. "Godamnit...damnit...damnit...this is all my fault." He breathed, closing his eyes and placing his head against the side of the bed.
* Xanatos slid his hand down to the sheets and grasped them tightly in his hands. "I'll bring you back...i'll do anything I can to bring you back...until I take my last breath..." He said in a whisper, more to himself than to anyone else.
<DeathStar> 6* John steps into the room, alone for the moment. He slides the door shut and moves over to Katrina.
* Xanatos pulls himself up to his feet. He stares at John.
<DeathStar> 6* John stands there, glancing down at Katrina. His eyes seem a bit vacant, and he stands there. "My dear sister... ... what was that saying. Becareful what you wish for?"
* Xanatos watches John. He frowns, knowing that this is probably harder on John than it is on him.
<DeathStar> <John> It seemed the guy who helped me find the technology simply wanted Erevis dead. He said "All lies lead to one absolute truth"
<Xanatos> And there is nothing more we can do? Her body is still alive isn't it?
<DeathStar> <John> Katrina's gone. Erevis consumed her soul is all I can figure.
<Xanatos> Perhaps they melded into one? And when you pulled Erevis out. You pulled them both out. *he said this as if thinking about it for the first time*
<DeathStar> <John> ... No. They were not one. Erevis ... chose to take on things from Kat. That was the extent.
<Setsuna`> "Is Erevis dead?"
<DeathStar> <John> She was ripped out - the brighest light you ever saw. Bright as hyperspace. And then she was gone and the man walked off.
<Xanatos> And you let him?
<Cassandra_Arakawa> @$$hole. *spoken as she opens the door and walks inside*
<DeathStar> <John> I had to get Katrina onto lifesupport immediately. Darien went after him. I did not see how the exchange went. 6He notes, turning to look at Cass.
* Xanatos frowns. "Well thank you for saving her body."
<Setsuna`> "Who took her?"
<DeathStar> 6* John says nothing, eyeing Cassandra.
<Cassandra_Arakawa> ...the only reason I won't take a shot at you, John McCormick, is because I don't want to make your mother cry anymore...
<DeathStar> <John McCormick> How heroic of you, Cassandra Arakawa. At least I picked a side in this matter. At least I tried to get my sister back.
<DeathStar> <John McCormick> Who do you fight for? Either one of them?

* Xanatos rubs his temple. "I'm going to search for a way to bring them back. Since Katrina is gone. Then I will find a way to bring Erevis back. There has to be a way."
<Cassandra_Arakawa> Yeah...I know. I let my fears get ahold of me and backed down before I even started...
<DeathStar> <John McCormick> Then don't judge me for trying to save my sister if you can't fight for something. I don't care what side a man takes, as long as they fight for it. That's why Darien's out there and you're all here, is it not? He's fighting for his cause.
<Cassandra_Arakawa> I'm just venting now...ignore me. Just...frustrated...
<Xanatos> You didn't tell your mother the truth. *he glances at John*
<DeathStar> <John> No. I heard what Erevis did for her when dad died.
* Xanatos nods, having been there. "And what will you do now?"
<DeathStar> <John> I do not take easily to being deceived. Far from it. 6He turns to go.
<Cassandra_Arakawa> Hey...sorry about calling you an @$$hole...just...*sighs*
<Setsuna`> "Well... if we're unemployed now."
* Setsuna` slips her hands in her pockets and moves towards the door as well.
<DeathStar> 6* John shakes his head, clearly not having a will to argue. He begins to move down the hallway, hands in his pocket.
* Xanatos steps out behind John. "Wait John. I need to talk to you for a second."
<DeathStar> 6* John stops, glancing behind him.
<Xanatos> This person. What can you tell me about them?
<DeathStar> <John> Not much. He knew about Erevis - showed me a lot, so I thought. But what can I say. He seemed like your typical human.
<Xanatos> The machine you used. How did it work?
<DeathStar> <John> The machine sucked Erevis out of the body using some of Origin. I know that much. The machine destroyed itself afterward.
* Xanatos frowns. "Origin..." He sighs. "I'm sorry I didn't stop you John...But now I need to try and make somethign right out of all of this..."
<DeathStar> <John> I won't stop you. If you can get back the thing you want most, who am I to judge that?
<DeathStar> 6* John shakes his head, walking along again.
<Xanatos> Good luck John. *he turns to walk back to the room where Cass and Setsuna are*
<DeathStar> 6* John hesitates, turning back to look at the three of them. "Though... if the thing you want most is anything close to what Darien wants, then maybe you three should make it personal."
<DeathStar> <John> Because Darien won't stop fighting - even if he does it alone.
<DeathStar> 6* John moves on out of sight.
* Xanatos slides to a stop and glances back. He turns to look at the two. "What will you do?"
<Cassandra_Arakawa> Don't know...
* Setsuna` shrugs a little, "I can't leave her like this."
<Xanatos> I'm going to space. I'm going to search for anything possible to bring her back. This is my fault. ANd I want to right that wrong. If it is the last thing I do. If you want to come. Then fine. If not. Then fine. Even if you want to go help Darien. Who am I to argue with you? But i'll be leaving soon.
<DeathStar> NRP: Hint - don't go with him.
<Setsuna`> NRP: I'm wondering where he's even going o.o
<DeathStar> NRP: Exactly. He has no plans. Don't go with that one.
<Xanatos> NRP: LOL I do too!
<DeathStar> NRP: Yeah. You'll wander as aimless as Kane did wiht Sera.
<Xanatos> NRP: You wouldn't let me mini! :S
<Cassandra_Arakawa> Just where do you plan to start looking?
<DeathStar> NRP: Yeah. I'm so totally not following your adventures.
<DeathStar> NRP: Darien's the man.
<Xanatos> I'll be going to Erevis. Where it all began. I can't promise i'll find anything. So going along with me will likely be a mistake.
<Setsuna`> "I think I'll pay a visit to the man who did this to her."
<Xanatos> Then you'll need to find John.
<Cassandra_Arakawa> Well...I guess I have nothing better to do. Let's go looking for the bastard.
<Xanatos> You both will need to find John. Since that is who he is looking for. I wish you both the best of luck. *he turns to leave*
<Cassandra_Arakawa> Don't do anything stupid...
<Xanatos> I don't think I can get anymore stupid than what i've already done.

* Xanatos holds a hand up in a wave goodbye. And steps out.
<Xanatos> NRP: HUSH! *Stabs DS*
* Setsuna` waves to Xanatos, "Ja ne." She pulls out a datapad, "Think we could catch John?"
<Cassandra_Arakawa> ...er.
<Cassandra_Arakawa> We should try.
* Setsuna` nods, and gestures for Cass to lead the way.
* Cassandra_Arakawa heads on out.
* Setsuna` sticks close after Cassandra, idly checking something on her datapad.
* Xanatos makes his way toward the space port. His hands shoved into his pockets.
<DeathStar> 6* John stands on the roof of the hospital. He begins to move up a visible ramp - into a cloaked ship.
<Cassandra_Arakawa> I got him... *rushes on to the roof*
* Setsuna` moves after Cass quickly.
<DeathStar> 6* John pauses, glancing down the ramp. He squints. "You two came for a fight already?"
<Cassandra_Arakawa> And get my shapely rear kicked? No way. You're the guy with the most luck in the entire galaxy. Figure if we stick around you, we'll find the bad guy and gbeat him.
* Xanatos sits down in his shuttle and stares down at his hands, his eyes are deep, and his skin is pale.
<DeathStar> <John> Bad guy? ... 6He squints. "I'm staying here for a while, girls. Something's going down here and I want to see what's happening."
<Cassandra_Arakawa> ...what do you mean something's going down?
* Setsuna` listens.
<DeathStar> <John> I've been picking up strange sightings on my ship for the past few weeks. No idea what's going on up there in space, but something big. Also, V.I. taking out the President? Sera going missing? I've followed the news. This entire planet is screaming ground zero."
* Xanatos taps his fingers and slams his fist down onto his console. He stands and turns, stepping off of his shuttle, and moving back into the crowds of the city.
<Cassandra_Arakawa> ...well...if you need a pair of angel...count us in.
<DeathStar> 6* John leans against the side of his ship. "Alright. We'll see if what we can do then. I think in the next few hours, things are about to crazy."

* Cole sits there quietly, staring at the four in front of him. His face is drawn into a frown.

* Red_Fox watches Xevil, not liking this, but accepting it
<Shiva`> Lady Arhnya, if this is as big of a threat as you claim then we need to see what we're up against

<DeathStar> 6* The navigation officer nods to Arhn, and the ship begins to move out toward the location of the Progneitor Station in the nearby nebula.
<Red_Fox> NRP: We got the real Arhn now! Cool
<DeathStar> NRP: But I'm so much better.
<Rylon> NRP: Nah the reak Arhn woulda drawn it out for another 2 hours
<Rylon> NRP: *real*
* Cole just stares back at Shiva.
<DeathStar> 6* Xevil stands there, his arms crossed, his red eyes gazing forward.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren sits in his wheelchair, chin propped up with his hand as the ship moves forward.
* Cole taps his finger on his knee, waiting till their arrival.
<DeathStar> 6* As they approach the nebula, Xevil leans forward, perhaps with anticipation.
<Arhn> ...I have never been there myself... *steps forward* The station is not under the control of the Ascendancy government...
* Shiva` leans against a railing eyeing the nebula.
<Rylon> 14"My arn't we the excited one" 2He spoke to Xevil.

<DeathStar> <Xevil> ... Yes.
* Cole watches the Nebula with clear interest, he tilts his head, thinking to himself.
<DeathStar> <Navigation Officer> We are entering the nebula. 6They begin to pass through
<Cole> So it is inside of this mebula? *he asks, cleary interested*
<Arhn> Yes...hidden from all the galaxy.
<Red_Fox> "Does it have any defence systems we should know about? Before they fire on us or similar, I mean."
<Rylon> 14"We'll find out.."
<Red_Fox> "... inspiring. Truly inspiring."
<Arhn> I...errr...a not really sure."
<Cole> Then you'll definitely need some bodyguards. *He reasons*
<Shiva`> And the Nebula's probably going to have adverse effects on our sensors.
<Red_Fox> "We'll need to take extra-special care."
<Red_Fox> NRP: <Fox> What's this button? *presses* <Dark Angel> *explodes, killing everyone*
<Arhn> 6* As the ship enters a particularly heavy cloud of gas and dust, all power aboard the ship cuts off...
* Cole instantly moves to check his weapons. Being a bit relying on them.
<DeathStar> <Warren> ... 6He sits there in the dark.
<DeathStar> <Xevil> Fascinating.
<Rylon> 2He glances up, letting his eyes adjust to the darkness. 14"Could have told us about this little..quirk"
<Arhn> I didn't know about it...I've never been here before.
<Shiva`> ?
<Arhn> 6* A ghostly blue beam streams out from the ether, pulling the ship forward...
<Red_Fox> "Well, we're not dead yet. That's comforting."
<Shiva`> A welcoming hello....
* Cole frowns. "Some hello."
<Rylon> 14"I can't wait to see the goodbye"

<Arhn> 6* The clouds of stellar gas and dust drifts past the viewports of the ship then its suddenly clear as the ship is pulled into what can only be described as a bubble in the nebula...the mass of an ice planetoid fills the view...
<Shiva`> No real heat source...This is truely a hidden planet.
<DeathStar> <Xevil> Such power these beings had.
<Cole> Oh I bet it is really cold there. *he said with a frown*
<Arhn> 6* Then over the horizon of the planetoid another shape emerges. It is truly monolithic for an artifical structure. The blue beam emanates from this structure.
* Cole watches it. "So. Which location is the place that we're headed?"
<Rylon> 14"My guess..the big thing that's taking us toward..just a guess"
<Red_Fox> "I'm sure it has a better way to kill us than a tractor beam, if it wants to."
* Arhn steps forward...

* Red_Fox listens, idly wondering who the Vaelsh'r are#]
* Shiva` eyes Arhn, watching her intently.
* Cole has his eyes locked on Arhn. A confused look.
<Rylon> 2Glanced up, looking quite detached..and simply waited until it was over.
<Arhn> ...the old Erus language...loosely translated...body of the all...heart of the all...soul of the all...
<DeathStar> <Xevil> A lot of fluff to get onto a simple station.
<Rylon> 14"You'll find alot of thing around here are quite fluffy"
<Red_Fox> "If it was a simple station, it wouldn't be so important."
* Cole glances at Xevil, then at Rylon. He can't help at scowl.
<Arhn> This was once the center of the galaxy.
* Rylon sighed, before moving over toward one of the viewports and looking out.
* Cole glances at Arhn. He eyes her for a moment. Before looking back out the viewport.
* Shiva` glances over to the viewport, watching from a distance.
<Arhn> 6* The ship is drawn inside...there is a shake as the station automatically docks the ship.
<DeathStar> <Xevil> It seems we are ... finally inside.
<Red_Fox> "Yeah."
<Arhn> 6* The hatches open, allowing them egress...
<Cole> We should go then. *he stands*
<Red_Fox> "Well, we'll get nothing done sitting here."
* Red_Fox stands
<Shiva`> We've got the red carpet treatment atleast.
<Arhn> Yes...an invitation has been extended.
<DeathStar> 6* Xevil begins to move, eager. Very eager. Warren rolls out.
* Red_Fox follows the two
<Rylon> 2He walked along with the group, his face quite blank..he seemed less then enthusiastic about this.
* Cole waits before moving out. Intending on staying near Shiva.
* Arhn proceeds on to the station as well.
* Shiva` follows behind
<DeathStar> 6* Warren rolls along behind them.
* Cole rubs his hands unconciously as he walks along.
<DeathStar> 6* Xevil steps onto the station, his cloak floating a bit behind him. He seems to glance around.
* Red_Fox keeps up with the others, staying alert
<Arhn> 6* The bay is massive...its ceiling obscured by darkness overhead. Support structures that seem more like trees than mass produced support beams rise up from floor to disappear above.
* Shiva` glances up towards the screen
<DeathStar> 6* Warren remains impassive as he looks around.
<Shiva`> NRP: cieling
<DeathStar> NRP: Ceiling.
<Cole> NRP: LOL
<Rylon> 2He let on a small scowl, not happy to be around ancient technology..he'd prefere it all to fry so it could never be used.
<Arhn> 6* A point of light opens up a distance away and a silhouetted figure moves toward the group.
* Cole slides his hands for his weapons. Standing on the attention.
* Red_Fox watches, not seeming particularly surprised
<DeathStar> 6* Xevil watches the figure.
<Arhn> 6* A young Yloi woman walks up to the group, clad in a robe of white and silver.
* Shiva` crosses her arms, leaning slightly to the side as she studies the new woman
<Arhn> <Yloi Woman> Greetings, the Vaelsh'r extend our hospitality.
<Cole> A third social class?
<Rylon> 14"Wouldn't surprise me"
<Shiva`> These are the soul I'm assuming?

<Arhn> 6* The images on all of the screens start to change, showing various scenes from the target planet...then you notice that one nearby display is showing the Giza plateau in Egypt. Then all of the screens flow together into the central display, forming a perfect reproduction of Earth, with its moon overhead...even the artificial satellites in their orbits.

<DeathStar> <Darien> Ariel cannot trace Seraphna. They are literally - beginning and end. Zephyr, however, can be sensed and sense both of them.

<DeathStar> <Darien> If Zephyr finds Sera, Sera finds Zephyr.
<DeathStar> <Darien> And we know what Sera is capable of.

<DeathStar> <Darien> Technically, Ariel is capable of doing it. To find Sera, Zephyr will have to open herself up to her.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Ariel might not be able to stop it if Zephyr willingly opens herself up. Which she will have to do
<Chad`Winters> Making things easier for Serena to twist Zephyr.
<Xanatos> <Kane> And is it worth the risk?
