<MiniGM> 6It's rainy April morning and the teams at the house waiting for their orders to go to work.
* Xanatos has joined #PAXSeason7-9TeamDarien
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr is outside, despite the rain, working on making sure her plants don't get too much water after her being gone from them for so long.
* Seraphna is up already, having showered and clothed, she's sitting in the living room, reading a book and eating some toast.
* Kane has joined #PAXSeason7-9TeamDarien
<Seraphna> *The plants oddly enough, have been very well tended.
* Cassandra`Arakawa is on the living room floor, doing situps.
* Xanatos is in the kitchen, cooking something for himself.
* Kane is sitting in one of the chairs, head drooped back as he sleeps silently.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr glances up at the storm clouds briefly, her brown hair in her eyes.
* Seraphna turns the page, humming a little to herself.
* Xanatos steps back out of the kitchen, holding a plate and sitting down in an empty chair, he turns on the holo-vid and begins to eat. He glances over at Sera. "So..."
* Seraphna glances up as he speaks, as if wondering why someone might interrupt her quiet time.
* Setsuna` idly reads a magazine, occasionally glancing at Sera.
<MiniGM> 6ENN Turns on talking about an upcoming press release from The Cartel.
* Xanatos stares at her, "Why the hell are you here again?"
<Seraphna> "I was contracted by your boss to be here."
* Kane snorts and rubs his neck, fidgeting in his seat and resuming his sleep.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr walks back inside, dripping water onto the floor. She grabs a towel and begins to dry her hair.
<Xanatos> ...Right...*he begins to eat* And why would he contract you?
<MiniGM> 6The news begins to cover the press release from the Cartel, apparently Shiva Sevintes is talking
* Seraphna smiles to Zephyr before looking back at Xan, "Because it benefits him."
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr nods briefly to Sera, moving to the stairs to go up to her room to change.
* Xanatos doesn't respond to Sera as he watches Shiva closely, listening to her speech.
* Kane finally sits up and rubs his face, he glances around then stands up and moves towards the stairs.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> No more politics... *gets up and heads for her room*
<DeathStar> 6* Stepping into the room, Zephyr begins to pull off the wet clothing, fishing around for another outfit.
* Seraphna doesn't seem to pay Kane any mind at all as she returns to her reading
<DeathStar> 6* Darien walks in next, his black coat wet, and his hair slicked back from the rain. He's clean shaven and clearly been resting well as he moves in. He glances at the holovid.
* Seraphna smiles to Darien, "Good morning General."
* Xanatos just holds up a hand to Darien, listening to Shiva still.
<MiniGM> 6From what Xanatos can understand, apparently there was some internal problems in the structuring of the Cartel, she can't go into details now on what the allegations are about but in order to fix the damages that were done, a restructuring will be done.
* Kane moves upstairs and into the bathroom, taking a shower.
<MiniGM> 6ENN cuts back out and begins talking, asking questions to another person about what could be going on with the Cartel, speculation begins to ensue
<DeathStar> 6* Darien nods once to Sera, leaning against the side of the doorway. "Why do I doubt that. Anyway, lets get everyone down here in the living room for a meeting. 6He takes a seat on the couch.
* Seraphna makes a little room for Darien.
<Xanatos> I'll go fetch them. *he stands and moves upstairs*
* Setsuna` looks to Darien, "Need anything, boss?"
* Cassandra`Arakawa walks back into the living room.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Um, like what?
<Xanatos> Kane, Zephyr. We're having a meeting downstairs. *he calls out, before turning to walk downstairs*
* Setsuna` shrugs.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien shrugs in return.
* Xanatos returns to his seat, picks up his plate and resumes eating.
* Seraphna leans away a little and turns the page in her book again
<Cassandra`Arakawa> What's up?
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr walks back down a moment later, wearing dry clothing. She sits on the floor near everyone.
<DeathStar> <Darien> I just want to go over some things. As you might all guess, Spade verified this is indeed Serena Cran, for those of you still wondering.
* Kane comes downstairs shortly after, sweatpants on and a towel over his shoulders.
* Setsuna` nods, not seeming convinced
* Seraphna yawns a little, seemingly disinterested in any reactions.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien cups his hands together. "So far V.I. has been making illogical movements that I cannot figure out. 1) We have them trying to mass produce a drug called Hyper, despite it's lethal drawbacks. 2) They apparantly tried to kill Elayne Trenton and blow up a subway. 3) They've created, more than likely, this Sera clone. 4) They attack a Janus base.
<Xanatos> Maybe there is some connection we just haven't figured out?
<DeathStar> 6* Darien glances around to see any other reactions.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Seemingly unconnected events...
<Setsuna`> "That's... a real hodgepodge."
* Kane just shrugs, "Maybe they are at their end and are trying to take out as many of their enemies as possible?"
<DeathStar> 6* Darien rolls his eyes.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> No...there is a reason for everything.
<Seraphna> "Trenton had nothing to do with VI."
* Seraphna turns another page
<Xanatos> Then why would they attack her?
<Seraphna> "Probably to bring out someone else."
<Xanatos> Such as?
<Seraphna> "Well, they got your attention."
<Xanatos> They had our attention.
<Setsuna`> "That's not exactly difficult."
* Seraphna turns the page again, as if not even in the conversation despite her replies.
<Seraphna> "As I understand it, they nearly got you all killed too."
<Xanatos> And?
* Seraphna shakes her head a little and reads on
<DeathStar> <Darien> I rarely believe an enemy does anything simply because it looks fun. There's a reasoning behind every movement they've made so far.
<Xanatos> And they kidnapped you, brainwashed you, and made you kill your father. *he spits*
<Seraphna> "And I want them dead, especially Adam, more then you could ever fathom."
* Seraphna says it completely without emotion, her voice as straight as the last line.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Adam...
* Xanatos chuckles, "Good."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien glances at Cassandra.
* Kane eyes Xanatos carefully, before looking back to Darien. "I'm sure we all hate VI, but we need to figure out their motive."
* Seraphna looks up, glancing at each of them slowly.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien sits there, tuning them out for the most part, clearly trying to see through the webs of deceit.
<MiniGM> NRP: WEBS OF DECEIT! THE FINALE OF TGC!
<Seraphna> "Well, they have a Dragoon capable of reaching the Third Form, however, they lack a pilot of the proper calibur. They're mass producing a drug which could be called a stim if it didn't kill people and cause lunacy, and they have you all wasting time attempting to figure out what they are doing."
* Kane just stares at Sera.
<DeathStar> <Darien> If they wanted a pilot, why not seek out Eve Winters again?
<DeathStar> <Darien> Or let her go in the first place.
<Seraphna> "Or let me go."
<Xanatos> Perhaps this clone doesn't need a pilot? Wouldn't that be interesting.
<Setsuna`> "...that'd be scary."
<Seraphna> "It would be terrifying, actually."
<DeathStar> <Darien> Well, we can safely assume that Adam is not the pilot. 6He notes.
<Xanatos> And she obeys orders, and doesn't have any emotional attachments. The perfect soldier.
<Kane> Why is that?
<Seraphna> "You don't know what it takes to be even in the Second form... going that far without a pilot..."
<DeathStar> <Darien> Adam's teleporter is giving him brain damage. Literally.
<DeathStar> <Darien> He's too unstable to be a pilot.
<Kane> Oh I remember that being discussed, how bad is he?
* Kane slides his eyes to Sera. He simply shakes his head and returns his gaze to Darien.
<DeathStar> <Darien> ... 6His eyes widen slightly, then go back to normal, quickly trying to cover up a thought.
<Kane> ...Something wrong?
* Seraphna appears to be ignoring him. "He was psychotic to begin with."
<Cassandra`Arakawa> What is it?
<DeathStar> <Darien> I always assumed that Adam was simply a mercenary for hire, since he briefly worked with Venerator.
<Seraphna> "He's far too devoted to VI's cause to be a mercenary, and far too involved."
<Cassandra`Arakawa> I knew him back before he was crazy.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien sits there. "I believe V.I. is the legacy of Venerator," 6he says flatly.
<Seraphna> "Would explain how they know so much about Dragoons."
* Xanatos glances at Darien. "Figures..."
<DeathStar> <Darien> I've always assumed V.I. stood for the roman numeral "6", but it could be initials. And I believe I've seen them somewhere before.
<Setsuna`> "You think they were partners?"
<DeathStar> <Darien> No, Adam's not smart enough to be the head of the organization.
<Kane> You think it might be someone else?
<DeathStar> <Darien> I need to get to the office and look through some of the files I got from Venerator. See if I can come up with leads. 6He goes to stand.
<Xanatos> What do you want us to do?
<Kane> If I can help, I want to. *he says as well*
<DeathStar> 6* Darien goes to say something when he reaches into his coat pocket, pulling out his datapad. He scrolls over the information, his eyes widening.
* Xanatos breaks off his comment, waiting for Darien to let everyone know what happened.
<DeathStar> <Darien> HQ is under attack by Janus. 6He notes flatly, his eyebrows lowering on his brow.
* Retrieving #PAXSeason7-9TeamDarien modes...
<Kane> What!?
<Seraphna> "...Your HQ?"
* Xanatos jerks up to his feet and quickly begins to head for the door. "We need to get there, pronto."
<DeathStar> <Darien> Yes.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr leaps to her feet.
* Kane turns to run upstairs.
* Xanatos gets into the van and starts it up, waiting on everyone.
<DeathStar> NRP: Oh, shit, I said JANUS. LOL. I meant V.I.
<Kane> NRP: LOL
<DeathStar> NRP: That fuckin' Chad did it!
<Setsuna`> NRP: Ah... THAT makes more sense.
* Seraphna gets up and grabs her coat, a long white affair, lacking for once, any sort of symbol on it.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien runs out, heading for his sports car. He dives in quickly, cranking it.
* Kane comes running back downstairs, pulling a shirt on as he rushes out to get in the van.
* Seraphna is in his passenger seat, she coughs a little.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> ...how the hell did they find it?! *heads into the van!*
* Setsuna` hops into Darien's car before he can get away
<MiniGM> NRP: Well if Chad could find it...
<DeathStar> 6* Darien glances at the girls, then rears it back onto the street, shifting gears and speeding away quickly. Zephyr meanwhile gets in the van.
* Xanatos starts up the van and pulls out, speeding after Darien. He glances at Sera as she coughs.
<Seraphna> *She's in Darien's car
<MiniGM> NRP: He probably sold the info to VI to get back at him
<Kane> NRP: Oh I read it wrong.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien shfits gears, hitting 150 easily as he drives straight into heavy traffic, weaving in and out.
* Kane moves along best he can in the van, weaving in an out of traffic.
* Seraphna pulls something out of her coat and puts it on her hand, amazingly calm despite being in the car of a seemingly psychotic driver
<Kane> NRP: Yeah Xan did that.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien spins past a red light, moving into the incoming traffic lane, shifting gears as he passes cars who are panicking.
* Xanatos speed around the corner as well, using the lane that darien is making with his car.
* Xanatos is trying his best to keep up, but Darien is quickly pulling away.
* Kane leans under the van seat and pulls out a suitcase, he quickly begins to put his rifle together.
<DeathStar> 6* Making a few more quick turns, Darien pulls up at the location of the HQ, pulling into the parking lot.
<MiniGM> 6Before Darien and Serena, chaos ensues as VI troops are annihilating HQ without remorse
<DeathStar> 6* Darien grabs his gun, leaning out his window to fire at troops.
<Xanatos> Be ready. *he tells Cass, Zephyr and Kane as he pulls closer to the parking lot*
<MiniGM> 6An explosion goes off on the buildings east wall, and VI troops begin to pour in firing away. Several troops turn around and begin firing on Darien, taking up cover position.
<DeathStar> <Darien> The car's bullet proof. 6He tells the two in his car.
* Seraphna nods, taking out a gun in her uncovered hand, taking aim and taking one soldier out between the eyes.
<MiniGM> 6A soldier pops up from coverage and fires a rocket launcher directly at Darien's bullet proof sports car
* Xanatos pulls the van into the parking lot and slides it into park, "Let's go." He says as he jumps out and pulls up his pistols, firing at enemy VI soldiers.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien hits the gas, driving straight forward to avoid the rocket.
<DeathStar> 6* Of course, he turns.
<MiniGM> 6The rocket flies past barely and hits a tree behind them, causing it to crash down ontop of the car
* Kane slides out of the van and uses it for cover as he pulls up his rifle around the corner of the van and begins to pick out soldiers, specifically those giving out orders, and firing upon them.
<MiniGM> NRP: Scratch that tree.
<MiniGM> 6The rocket slams into a support causing it to explode
* Xanatos moves his left hand toward the rocket launching soldier, firing, while his right hand fires at a seperate soldier.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien curses, spinning the wheel around as he tries to hit soldiers with his car.
<MiniGM> 6Both soldiers go down. Several more troops come in and begin firing on Xan's team.
<Setsuna`> "...you keep any arms in this thing, boss?"
<DeathStar> <Darien> Not really. 6He notes.
* Xanatos dashes over and dives behind a car for support, waiting for a break in their firing so he can return fire.
* Kane leans back around the side of the van, also waiting for a break in firing before he can return fire.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> How many do you think we have?!
<MiniGM> 6The soliders quickly hide behind cars as DS swerves for them, luckily taking out a few of them.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Okay, fuck this. Hold on. 6He revs the car backwards for ramming speed, then drives straight for the entrance.
<MiniGM> 6Several of the troops continues firing on Darien as he revs in reverse
* Seraphna braces herself, touching a button on the thing on her right hand.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien holds his course as the car is shot.
* Seraphna moves her hand expertly, knocking a few blasts away form Darien's head.
<Kane> Cass, Zephyr. Do something! *he fires at another soldier*
<MiniGM> NRP: Wouldn't that get in his line of site?
<DeathStar> NRP: When you're ramming the entrance, I don't think it'll matter.
<MiniGM> 6A man picks up the reloaded rocket launcher and fires it again towards Darien's car, head on this time.
<MiniGM> NRP: Well yeah
<DeathStar> 6* Darien attempts to yank the car to the side just enough to avoid the rocket.
* Seraphna jams her fist forward, a blast from her hand hitting the rocket.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Zephyr...you take the left...I'll take the right! The rest of you, lay down some suppression fire@
* Xanatos and Kane are already doing that.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr nods her head to Cassandra, moving off to flank left.
<MiniGM> NRP: So she shit through the bullet proof windshield?
* Cassandra`Arakawa moves for the right!
* Setsuna` leans out to shoot the rocket man with her pistol, getting annoyed with him.
<Seraphna> NRP: Please note the difference between bullets and energy.
<MiniGM> 6The man grabs his back in pain then slumps over dead.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr locks onto targets, firing at them with a high powered rifle.
<MiniGM> 6The windshield explodes outwards from the energy and into the rocket, causing it to explode. The VI soldiers begin firing through the melted windshield now.
* Setsuna` curses and ducks for cover.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien turns his face.
* Cassandra`Arakawa fires her gun as she comes at the soldier's flank!
* Seraphna stops shots from reaching Darien's head, "Move fast..."
* Kane tosses a silver disk for the group of soldiers attacking Darien, detonating it.
<DeathStar> <Darien> We should have hit the damn wall ages ago. 6He notes as he speeds ahead.
<Kane> NRP: LOL
<MiniGM> 6They continues firing and not with Sera blocking Darien, she's wide open for shots.
<MiniGM> 6They finally slam into the entrance, ripping through it
* Seraphna seems fine, her hand is moving at an inhuman pace.
* Xanatos is working to get closer to the entrance using cars for cover and firing whenever he runs from car to the next car.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien smashes through the open door and into the base itself, slamming on breaks as he tears through some walls. He leaps out, looking around for enemies
<MiniGM> 6The rest turn their attention on Xanatos and Kane, pinning them back down.
<MiniGM> 6It's apparently quiet in this area, they must be further in.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr comes in from the left side as they focus on them, aiming to make them pay.
* Cassandra`Arakawa pulls the pin out of a grenade and tosses it into the midst of the VI soldiers.
* Xanatos ducks back down behind cover.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien heads along for his office, keeping a gun ready.
* Seraphna follows him, groaning a little and shaking her arm a bit, "Gods that takes work."
<MiniGM> 6With the culmination of Kane's explosive and Cassandra, the soldiers are torn apart.
* Setsuna` gets out of the car, before it does something like blow up. Being blown up sucks.
* Kane leans back as the fire comes in, but then quickly rushes back around the van, moving for the base and firing at any enemies.
* Xanatos also jumps up and moves towards the base, ready to fire on any enemies.
<MiniGM> 6The team quickly finishes off the people outside.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien arrives at his office, stepping in and waving his gun about looking for enemies.
* Xanatos moves inside, Kane right behind him as he moves after the group already inside.
<MiniGM> 6A soldier begins firing through one of the office windows as Darien steps by
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Alright, insid enow. Secure the building!
<DeathStar> 6* Darien ducks, diving behind his desk.
* Seraphna is behind him, but her hand moves quickly again, she aims and fires at the soldier.
* Kane breaks off to try and link up with Chip.
* Xanatos moves forward, securing HQ. Looking for enemies to take out.
* Cassandra`Arakawa heads for the command center.
<MiniGM> 6The man quickly turns his fire on Sera, unloading on her
<DeathStar> 6* Darien reaches into the desk, yanking out folders and stuffing them into his coat.
* Seraphna fires at him again. Keeping him busy.
* MiniGM another soldier leaps out into the main hallway and begins firing down at Sera from the other direction. The one man falls down quickly
<DeathStar> 6* Chip is found - twisted in an odd shape and blood puddled on the floor
* Seraphna deflects a few shots and rolls out of the way.
* Kane moves his hand to check for a pulse, a frown on his face.
<MiniGM> 6The man quickly hurls a grenade as she rolls and leaps to the side, firing at the grenade the second it get's close to her.
<DeathStar> 6* A boot slams into Kane's face before he can.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien finishes grabbing the folders as the hallway detonates.
* Kane gets hit and falls back, stumbling to his feet. He looks up at the attacker.
<DeathStar> 6* Adam spins again, not letting up on the attack as Kane stumbles. A foot is sent for his head.
* Seraphna rolls with the blast, slamming into a wall, getting up, a thin tube hitting the man's feet as the flash goes off.
<MiniGM> 6The man falls over and fires blindly down the hallway. A hand grabs him and pull him into an office then pops out and fires directly at Sera against the wall.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Adam! *shouted as she arrives on the scene!*
* Kane quickly ducks down, the boot soaring over his head, causing his hair to move from the air behind the kick. He glares at Adam as he rushes forward, swinging the guard on the rifle up for Adam's gut.
<MiniGM> 6 4 troopers pop out of the door on the far end, two kneel and quickly open fire at Sera ont he opposite end while the two standing also open fire.
<DeathStar> 6* Adam vanishes and appears behind Kane, firing at his back, aiming to pierce his heart. He glances at Cass, a grin appearing.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien eyes the hallway flooded with firepower. He must reach the safe. He dives past the fire, trying to roll down into a side hallway.
* Kane turns enough so that he wont be pierced in the heart, before getting hit and dropping down to the ground, blood begginning to pour from his wound.
<MiniGM> 6A stray shot clips Darien's leg
* Seraphna dives into a side room, letting them riddle the wall with bullets.
<DeathStar> 6* Grunting, Darien hits the ground, sliding along.
* Xanatos comes up behind the 4 firing men, unloading both of his pistols into them.
<MiniGM> NRP: How owuld Xan get beh...
<MiniGM> NRP: That tricky bastard!
<Cassandra`Arakawa> ...Chip...damn it...alright...come and pick on someone your own size, youi bastard.
<Xanatos> NRP: LOL
<MiniGM> 6The four men quickly fall down with ease.
<DeathStar> <Adam> I'd love to stay and talk, but I got things to do. 6He rushes off into a hallway.
<Xanatos> You alright? *he calls out to Darien*
<DeathStar> 6* Darien grabs a wall, hurrying along as he trails blood, navigating the hallways.
* Cassandra`Arakawa pursues Adam!
<DeathStar> 6* Adam hurries along, glancing over his shoulder now and again. He appears to be heading for the exit created by V.I. earlier. He dives through it.
* Xanatos turns, looking around the hallway, he decides to provide Darien support.
<DeathStar> 6* A rail gun blast flies at Xanatos, tearing through walls.
* Seraphna doesn;t come out of the office she leapt into.
* Cassandra`Arakawa fires at Adam as she goes after him!
<Xanatos> HOLY SHI-*dives to the right into an office*
<MiniGM> 6Xan would find himself face to gun.
* Xanatos holds up both of his hands, staring down the barrel to see who has him held up.
* Kane gasps as he drags himself over to a wall, leaning against it, he coughs up a little blood. Slowly he moves his hand up to rest on his wound.
<MiniGM> 6Before Cass can even hit the ground a powerful electronic supressor nails her, sending her crashing to the ground unable to do anything
<MiniGM> 6A VI soldier has his gun trained on Xan then turns, firing on his right shoulder.
<DeathStar> 6* Zeraphna walks through the hallways, holding a rail gun calmly.
* Cassandra`Arakawa hits the ground!
* Seraphna kneels down by Kane, "We should get you out of here."
* Xanatos grimaces as he is shot and dives forward at the soldier, sending his left hand foward to pistol whip him.
* MiniGM the man is pistol whipped. His parnter, finally able to see again turns to fire at Xan's face.
<DeathStar> 6* Adam peers down at Cassandra before she blacks out. "I'll enjoy breaking you, Cassie." 6He lugs her over his shoulder, turning and teleporting with her.
* Kane lazily looks up at Sera. "...The..others...help them.."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien reaches the safe room, moving to the code.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr leaps out behind Zeraphna, firing at her back. Zeraphna turns, knocking the blast aside with an arm shield much like Cheryl had.
<Seraphna> "You're in no shape to be brave, let's go."
* Xanatos moves his head to the right, a streak of blood arrearing on his cheek as he moves his left pistol to fire at the man's face.
* Kane says nothing, but he can't move. And he is bleeding pretty baddly.
<MiniGM> 6 The man's head snaps back from the shot, he falls to the ground. The other man turns around and leaps on Xanatos, punching him across the jaw
* Seraphna rips off part of her shirt and binds the wound, putting pressure on it, "On my back..." *she helps him up*
<DeathStar> 6* Zeraphna fires at Zephyr, who barely avoids, slamming into a hallway wall to do so.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien suddenly stiffens, grabbing his neck. He stumbles, then hits the ground, unconscious

* Xanatos gets slugged and falls back a bit sending his knee forward to hit the man in the gut.
* Seraphna sighs and sets him back down, hearing the blasts
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr is backed into a corner. Zeraphna takes aim.
<MiniGM> 6A man suddenly appears from the hallway infront of Zephyr and begins firing his handguns towards Zeraphna.
<DeathStar> 6* Zeraphna blocks with her arm shield, standing there glaring.
* Seraphna throws out a fist, firing her gauntlet at Zera from behind.
<MiniGM> <Chad> 6Continues firing his handguns, not letting up.
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> ... Chad. 6She says, glancing at his back.
<MiniGM> <Chad> Nice to see you to, but I won't be able to hold her back forever.
* Seraphna fires a second shot after the last. Having followed the merry sounds of explosions.
<Setsuna`> 6* A bolt from a plasma cannon streaks towards Sera
* Seraphna leaps back, letting it fly past her. Not even taking the time to figure out who attacked her. Guess those two shots land on Zera then.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr goes to fire, but Zera leaps into a side hallway, as if she knew that a counter was coming.
<MiniGM> <Chad> 6Drops his guns, tossing them to the ground. He reaches behind his back, pulling out two more. 1"You alright?
<Xanatos> NRP: *stabs MiniGM*
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> I am functional. 6She notes, hurrying forward to find out what's going on.
<MiniGM> 6The man coughs in pain as he's kneed
* Seraphna approaches them slowly, keeping an eye on the door Zera escaped from.
* Xanatos brings his left elbow down for the back of his neck.
<MiniGM> <Chad> 6Looks at Zephyr for a second, then follows behind
* Seraphna moves after them. Helping form some sort of sibling formation.
<MiniGM> <Chad> 6Doesn't even acknowledge Sera's existence, focused only on Zephyr and his surroundings
<Xanatos> NRP: So Sera just ignored someone shooting her? I saw she dodged...but she didn't pursue?
<Setsuna`> 6* A second plasma blast lances out at Seraphna, from a varied direction from before. Slicing through walls as needed.
* Seraphna rolls aside, zeroing in on the location, string along the path of attack.
<MiniGM> 6The man yells out in pain as he's nailed in the back
<DeathStar> 6* At the same time, the ceiling blasts down with a railgun blast, aimed at all three of them to engulf them. Zephyr, in the middle, glances up and shoves both Chad and Sera away as it slams it impacts.
* Xanatos then aims to fire at the back of the man's head.
<MiniGM> <Chad> 6Is shoved backwards, he quickly regains his composure and turns around, eyeing the ruins. He quickly begins tearing into it, throwing off the pieces he can
<DeathStar> 6* Zeraphna slams through the ceiling, aiming at Chad and firing agani.
* Seraphna was not too quick to start helping though, she firest at the incoming Zera.
* MiniGM twists out of the way, pull his left hand up and fires a shot towards Zera's stomach
<DeathStar> 6* Zeraphna twists, trying to use Chad as a shield.
<DeathStar> 6* Zeraphna swings her arm shield in the path.
<Setsuna`> 8* A third shot fires from the same direction as the second, aimed percisely towards Seraphna.

* Xanatos moves to step back out into the hallway, would he see the Ser,Zer, Chad battle?

<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr mean while stumbles into an office, holding her wounded shoulder. She tries to raise her weapon at Zera, who's whipping back and forth.

* Seraphna ducks, dragging chad down with her, letting the blast fly at Zera.
<Setsuna`> NRP: ...why you never typo colors
<DeathStar> 6* Zeraphna steps aside, as if she knew the blast was coming.
<DeathStar> 6* She then fires at Chad and Sera as they are low.
<MiniGM> <Chad> 6Quickly pulls himself free of Sera's grasp and flips up, leaping back and firing both hand guns on Zera.
* Setsuna` tosses a grenade down at Zera from the hole she made above.
* Seraphna is gone, having moved away faster tehn the eye could catch her, straight in the direction of the blast.
* Xanatos leans against the wall, watching them fight the Sera clone, he begins to charge both pistols. Though his right arm wont lift.
<DeathStar> 6* Zeraphna eyes the grenade, then dives away.
<MiniGM> 6Sera unable to move that fast because of her previos actions is clipped by the attacks.
* Seraphna takes the damage, moving doggedly to the attacker.
<Setsuna`> "...fast bugger."
* Xanatos lifts his left hand up and fires a charged blast at Zera as she moves away from the grenade attack.
<DeathStar> 6* Zeraphna dives away behind a wall that put her further away from Xan
* Xanatos glances around, looking for Darien, Cass and Kane.
<Setsuna`> 6* Instead of a plasma blast, a high explosive shell is lobbed in front of Sera as she trys to close distance
<MiniGM> 6The grenade expodes along side the high explosive shell as Sera moves towards it.
<DeathStar> 6* Zeraphna sends out a drawback call, then moves off as the explosions go off.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr flinches at the explosions.
<MiniGM> 6Chad quickly turns around, letting the explosion wrack into his back, Serena would easily be consumed by them.
* Seraphna rolls, taking a large hit form the blast, her cltohing ruined as she stnads wearily.
* Xanatos falls back into the room as the explosions sound out.
* MiniGM stands up, tossing his coat off to reveal his tact suit. He eyes the hallway before him then quickly runs up and slips between a small gap that remains and over to Zephyrs side.
* Xanatos comes back out of the room and glances around. "Where are the others?" He asks everyone.
* Seraphna pulls off the ruined coat, the sound of destroyed Kelvar and plating clanking about as she limps away.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr stands there, unaware of her bleeding shoulder yet.
* Setsuna` hops down, "...okay, I don't want to go one on one with that bitch ever."
<MiniGM> 6Chad slides down the other side and moves over to Zephyr. 1"You're injured." 6He reaches into a side pouch and pulls out some bandages and begins to tend to her wound.
* Xanatos looks to Setsuna, "Move out and try to find Kane, Darien and Cass. Let me know via comm if you find anything." He turns to move down the hallway.
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> ... how did you know? 6She asks, confused.
<MiniGM> <Chad> You're bleeding Zephy. I'm not blind you know.
* Setsuna` seems to cringe, and then nods, hurrying off quickly to find her teammates.
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> ... 6She looks at her wound, then at him. She hestitates, lowering her head a bit, the hair falling around her face.
* Seraphna moves back to Kane, sitting beside his unconcious self weakly, hitting her comms
* Xanatos pulls up a comm, "Yes?"
<Seraphna> "...Gonna need a medical team, Kane's out."
<Xanatos> <Comm> How bad?
<MiniGM> <Chad> You have something to say Zephy, tell me. 6He tightens the bandage around her shoulder.
<Seraphna> "He's losing a lot of blood."
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr hugs Chad, holding onto him. "Thank you."
* Seraphna looks at her arm, which is slowly closing up a nastey wound, "This a good time to remark that this was a clever trap?"
<Xanatos> <Comm> Alright, i'm on it. *he closes the connection with her and then tries to get in touch with the proper people that would send a medical unit out to the base*
<MiniGM> <Chad> 6STands there, then hugs her back. 1"I'll always be here for you Zephy. That's a decision I made a long time ago.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr leans back, nodding. "As a friend?" 6she asks softly.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien lays on the ground in front of an open safe, unconscious
* Seraphna waits next to him, looking at him, "We coulda been so good together..."
* Kane doesn't respond, of course.
<Setsuna`> <comm> *curses under her breath* "I'm not seeing any sign of Cassandra..."
<MiniGM> <Chad> 6Let's out a sigh. 1"I'm sorry Zeph...Things haven't worked out the way I thought they would...I never wanted to hurt you but it appears that may happen.
* Xanatos is still searching for Darien. He talks in his comm, "Yeah, I can't find Darien either."
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr nods, keeping her head down to hide her face. "I have to go help the others." 6She turns to go.
* Seraphna thinks, hitting the comms, "He was grabbing folders earlier, check somewhere you gys keep valuables."
* Xanatos moves towards the location he saw Darien rushing off too before he was attacked by Zera.

<DeathStar> 6* Darien begins to wake up, pushing himself up slowly. "Ungh..."
* Seraphna turns on an emergency beacon on her datapad so the med unit can find them. Closing her eyes as she rests carefully, her wounds fixing themselves slowly.
* Xanatos finally comes to Darien's location right as he is waking up. "You ok, sir?"
<DeathStar> <Darien> ... Or...gin... 6He grabs the safe door, pulling himself up, glancing inside - empty. "NO."
<Xanatos> Oh hell...*he says with a frown, having an idea what was being kept in the safe*
* Setsuna` reluctantly starts back to where she left the others. Looking pissed off.
<DeathStar> 6 *Zephyr moves along into a hallway near Sera, following the emergy beacon. She wipes at her eyes, finding them wet strangely.
<Xanatos> That had all of the origin stuff in it, didn't it?
<MiniGM> <Chad> 6Leans against the hallway wall, his hands pressed against his face.
<DeathStar> <Darien> ... 6Looks angry, finding himself shaking. He hits the wall with his fist.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr arrives at Kane, kneeling there in front of Sera and Kane, not botheringto wipe at her face. She checks the wound.
<Xanatos> * It is pretty bad, damn close to the heart as well.
<Seraphna> "I put pressure, but can't stop the bleeding."
* Seraphna barely moves, concentrating completely on recovery.
* Xanatos turns his head to look down, knowing that without the origin samples, brining Erevis back is next to impossible.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr applies pressure, unable to do much better.
<Seraphna> "You're lucky, you know."
<MiniGM> 6The medic teams begin to arrive.

* Xanatos glances at Darien. "Cass is missing as well." He adds to the fact that they got royalling screwed.

<DeathStar> 6* Darien stands there, then reaches into his pocket, pulling out the folders. He holds them in his hands.
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Yes. 6She notes with melachonly. "He sees me."
* Xanatos looks at Darien again, then turns to leave him alone.
* Seraphna coughs a little, "Take comfort in it..."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien flips through them and pulls out a small vial of Origin, holding it. He closes his hand around it, pocketing it.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr says nothing, just kneeling there as the medical team comes in.
<MiniGM> 6Medics begin pouring in towards the wounded
<Seraphna> "If you ever wanna talk about it..." *she sighs and looks down*
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> I do not wish to talk. I wish to simply end this madness. 6She says firmly, resolved much like Warren would be, closing herself off.

<DeathStar> <John> You sound wrong. 6He notes dangerously.
* Myria 's legs are sticking out from under the engine mounting as she tries to find the problem...panty shot!

<DeathStar> 6* John holds up his hands, turning to face the window.

<DeathStar> 6* John's eyes show an excitement at the thought of a tough opponent. Warren shakes his head.
<Myria> Umm...I'm done here.
<DeathStar> 6* The Aquarius' red light flashes, alerting them to arriving. John grabs the lever, bringing them out of hyperspace.
<Ariel> "...I think that means we're here."
* MiniGM runs through the hallway, making his way towards the bridge
* Myria nods and ehads to the bridge.
<MiniGM> 6Before the Aquarius lies a barren world covered in spots with green, with several oceans. As they pull in closer, there sensors would slowly begin to mess up as they fly in closer. There's signs of several big storms on the surface.
<DeathStar> <John> Well, this seems to be the place. Not that I have a clue of where to begin looking
<MiniGM> 6Dias steps onto the bridge and looks around. 1"We're here huh?
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl steps onto the bridge moments later, peering over everyone's shoulders
<Myria> Why are we here...?
<DeathStar> <John> To find a killer.
<Ariel> *comes up behind Myria, having no reason to stay back*
<DeathStar> <Warren> Any ideas on where to look? 6He asks Ariel.
<MiniGM> <Dias> If Vector was ahead of us...
<Ariel> "Look for signs of a ship... but she'll probally make it obvious. She wants us to find her."
<DeathStar> <John> I would, but the scanners are screwy.
<Myria> Want me to fix?
<DeathStar> <John> I don't think it's the ship, my lovely beauty, but the .. planet.
<Myria> Hmmm....
<DeathStar> <Warren> I see. Let's orbit the planet once, see if we can see anything visually. 6John nods, sending them flying toward the planet into orbit.
<MiniGM> 6The closer they get the worse their sensors get, until finally they reach a peak effect.
<Ariel> "...this would certainly keep anything obscured. Hopefully she won't see us coming either."
<DeathStar> <Warren> Unless she positioned herself to see us come in, so she could come in behind us unnoticed.
<MiniGM> <Dias> Possible. In that case it wpm
<MiniGM> <Dias> It won't matter where we land.
<DeathStar> <John> ... 6He looks at his sensors despite being garbled, then ahead. "Okay, I'm offically creeped out."
<MiniGM> <Dias> If Vector is good with guns, we should pick somewhere that will hamper her sight.
<Ariel> "Did you see something John, or is it the lack of seeing things?"
<DeathStar> <John> The latter. And where can we go?!
<Ariel> *peers* "Is that a plateau up ahead?"
<DeathStar> <Warren> I do not trust your flying skills to navigate us through mountains without sensors. 6He notes ruefully.
<DeathStar> <John> You want me to land on a plateu?
<MiniGM> 6Dias closes his eyes as he thinks. 1"Plateu won't offer cover.
<Ariel> Well... those canyons will only get us trapped.
<DeathStar> 6* John lets out his breath, lowering the Aquarius toward the ground, he's clearly tense.
<DeathStar> <John> Now what?
<DeathStar> 6* He flies over a plateau with the Aquarius.
<Ariel> "Just get us some cover. As high as possible."
<DeathStar> 6* John moves along, licking his lips.
<MiniGM> 6The plateu before them is pretty barren with some rubble left over of an ancient city, nothing more than 3 ft high sadly that's spread out sporadically, leaving little cover.
<DeathStar> <John> Asshole. 6He mutters to some unseen God.
<DeathStar> 6* John keeps them on course, waiting for some cover.
<DeathStar> 6* John keeps searching.
* Myria looks too.
<MiniGM> 6They finally find what would appear to be good coverage with ruins as high as 6 feet and far more in place
* Myria points at the ruins.
<DeathStar> 6* John nods, turning the ship around and landing behind the taller ruins, as the Aquarius is quite large. It sets down and he powers down to minimal systems.
<DeathStar> <John> Air appears to be breatheable, but I'm guessing since our scanners are scewed.
<Ariel> "...you have absolutely nothing to base that on, do you?"
<DeathStar> <John> Not a thing.
<Ariel> "I'll go first."
* Ariel starts to the airlock.
<DeathStar> * Warren rolls out after her, as does Cheryl. John leaps up, moving along.

* Myria heads out too.
<DeathStar> 6* They all gather at the nearest airlock.

* Ariel glances back, sighs a little, and then continues.

<MiniGM> 6As Ariel steps out, she discovers that the atmosphere has just enough oxygen in it to support human life and there doesn't appear to be any harmful stuff in it

<DeathStar> <John> Well, lets find out. 6He steps out next, taking a deep breath before Ariel gives the a-okay.
* Myria moves down on to the surface.
<DeathStar> 6* John smiles. "Now that's nice." 6He waves the others out, and Warren and Cheryl join.
<MiniGM> 6Dias comes out after the others.
<Ariel> "Congrats. We didn't all die."
<DeathStar> <Warren> ... 6He sits there quietly.
<DeathStar> <John> So, now we need to find this Vector. And why she came here.
<MiniGM> 6Dias hops from side to side eager to fight.
<MiniGM> 6Something begins to pick at the back of Ariel's head, something familiar a few miles to the north
* Myria looks around at the ruins.
* Ariel pauses a moment, "We should go this way."

<Ariel> "Call it a hunch."
<DeathStar> <Warren> Do as she says.
<DeathStar> <John> Right. North we go. 6He nods to everyone. "Lets do it, kids."
<DeathStar> 6* John begins to trudge northward. Warren rolls along.

<DeathStar> <Cheryl> ... 6She peers at Ariel, but follows north without question.
<MiniGM> 6Dias walks along, his hands behind his head as he looks around. 1"This place needs more color"

<DeathStar> 6* John goes to say something when he pauses, stumbling. He glances at his brown coat, which is filling with red. "Well, isn't that odd..." 6He falls forward.

<MiniGM> <Dias> John?! 6He dashes towards John, 1"What's wrong?"
<Ariel> *hurries to John's side, trying to find what's wrong with him*
<DeathStar> 6* It appears to be - a gut wound from a shot.
<MiniGM> <Dias> Em...I think he's bleeding.
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl and Warren both turn around to face behind them. Vector stands on the Aquarius, holding a sniper rifle.
<Ariel> "......" *turns*
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl suddenly dashes forward, forming her energy whip.
<Ariel> *nods, and applys pressure, trying to stop the bleeding*
<MiniGM> <Dias> Why...Why would he shoot John!
<DeathStar> 6* Vector'
<DeathStar> 6* Vector's grin is carnal, as she switches for a rail gun blast and fires at Cherly, who has to stop and block with an arm shield, which shatters and throws her back.
<Myria> ..what do we do?
<DeathStar> <Warren> We have to beat her to get to the ship.
* Ariel fires a small energy bolt at Vector. Enough to do some damage, but mostly to draw her attention away form Cherl
<DeathStar> * Vector avoids to the side, aiming at Cheryl again, only to have Warren fire at her from his seat, causing her to block it annoyedly.
<MiniGM> <Dias> I'll kill her...6He turns to head towards the ship./
* Myria tries to pull John back into cover...
<DeathStar> <John> Unnghh....am I dead...'cause you must be...an angel... 6He jokes, coughing up blood.
<DeathStar> <Warren> She's fast. 6He notes darkly.
<Ariel> "...not if I can help it." *looks back* "We need medical supplies!"
<MiniGM> 6Breaks into an open sprint, running low and off to the side, circling around
* Ariel starts moving directly towards Zephyr, forming a blade in both hands
<DeathStar> NRP: GET THAT EVIL ZEPHYR
<DeathStar> 6* Vector fires the rail gun at Ariel, testing her speed.
<Ariel> NRP: Well, Earth is just a jog away
<Myria> They ar eon ship!
* Ariel hops to the side, just enough to avoid the shot. No pushing her luck quite yet.
<DeathStar> 6* Vector fires again and again.
* Ariel leaps this time, throughing the plasma blade down at Vector... but on an angle she wouldn't hit the ship
<DeathStar> 6* Vector leaps away, an insane grin on her face. "I'll beat you. I'll beat you and save this universe."
<MiniGM> 6Dias finally comes upto a slide about 40 yards off to Vector's left side
* Ariel lands, "...save the universe?"
<DeathStar> 6* Vector aims at her. "You're the cause of this universe's decay. Your existence. Avalon might not have killed you, but I shall."
<MiniGM> <Dias> 6Reaches down, picking up a rock, he takes several steps back then dashes forward, hurling it towards the Aquarius, hopefully right at Vector.
<Ariel> "...I've heard this story before. It wasn't true then, and it isn't true now."
<DeathStar> * The rock smacks Vector and she howls in anger.
* Ariel darts forward, trying to take out Vector's rifle.
<DeathStar> 6* As Ariel knocks the rifle, Vector grabs another item - and fires an energy net directly at Ariel, aiming to immoblize her.
* Ariel is knocked back, pinned down.
<DeathStar> <Vector> HA HA HA HA HA HA. HA HA HA HA HA. 6Myria and Em would see Vector is too busy to stop them from getting in the Aquarius now.
<MiniGM> <Dias> 6Quickly begins dashing towards the Aquarius.
<DeathStar> <John> I'm....fading...didn't think I'd die like this.... wasn't suppose to die here... 6He mutters weakly, closing his eyes.
* Myria nods and moves into the Aquarius...
<Ariel> *is too busy trying to do her best to keep John alive to go for the ship*
<DeathStar> 6* Vector grabs the rifle, aiming it at Ariel, when a boot hits the gun up into the air.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren stands behind Ariel and Vector, aiming his gun and firing it at the net, unpenning it.
<MiniGM> <Dias> 6Climbs up the Aquarius side and onto the top of the ship.
<DeathStar> <Vector> You're...you're suppose to be a cripple. 6She howls, firing at Warren.
* Ariel gets her feet under her as soon as the net is freed, and attempts to tackle Vector
<DeathStar> 6* Vector hits the roof of the Aquarius, trying to buck Ariel off.
<MiniGM> <Dias> 6Dashes across the Aquarius top
<DeathStar> 6* Warren falls to one knee, wincing in pain.
<DeathStar> 6* Myria, if she remembers where the medical room is located, could find medical supplies there.
* Myria gathers the supplies and then heads back!
* Ariel pins Vector to the roof, forming her blade in her free hand. "...I should end this right here."
<DeathStar> <Vector> You're a cancer on this universe. I'll kill you. I'll kill you before he finds you.
<DeathStar> 6* John begins to fade, his life blood pouring out slowly.
<Ariel> "...before who finds me?"
<DeathStar> <Vector> I don't know. I just know he's the end.
<DeathStar> 6* Vector bends one of her fingers, a snap heard.
* Myria starts working on John as best she can!
<DeathStar> <Warren> Ariel---!
<DeathStar> 6* Vector's arm explodes
<DeathStar> 6* John lays there, a bloody mess while Myria and Em work on him. They successfull patch him up - but has he lost too much blood?
* Ariel is knocked back, scorched from the explosion. Conscious, but hurting.
<DeathStar> 6* Vector gets up, her arm gone now. "You bitch."
<MiniGM> <Dias> 6Leaps up into the air, spin kicking downwards toward's Vector's left shoulder with all his might
<DeathStar> 6* Vector is hit, falling onto the Aquarius roof. Cheryl, meanwhile, leaps up after them, watching Dias.
<MiniGM> <Dias> How dare you attack John! 6He leaps up again, this time aiming his knee towards Vector's stomach
<Ariel> *looks to Myria* "We need to get him inside."
<DeathStar> 6* Vector is hit in the gut, getting angrier
<DeathStar> 6* Suddenly, John stops breathing.
<MiniGM> <Dias> COWARD!
<MiniGM> 6Dias tursn and throws a left hook towards Vectors face
<DeathStar> 6* Vector is hit again. She pulls out a gun with her good hand.
<Myria> Help me. *tries moving John*
<Ariel> *shakes her head* "We need to get him breathing first."
<MiniGM> <Dias> 6He pulls his hand back again to throw another punch, unable to stop himself or Vector
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl throws out the whip, wrapping it around Vector's throat and yanks, choking her. She yanks once, breaking the neck. Warren, meanwhile, checks on Ariel.
<Myria> How?
<MiniGM> <Dias> 6Fist slams forward into Vectors dead face. He lies there, his body shaking
<Ariel> *starts performing CPR on John, hoping she can get him breathing long enough to get him inside*
<DeathStar> 6* John suddenly is kissing Em.
* Ariel just lays there. Hurt, but not dying. But still.
<Ariel> *jumps back a good three feet, wide eyed*
<DeathStar> <Warren> ... Ariel. 6He looks concerned, worried even. It's a rare emotion for him to show.
* Myria stares.
<DeathStar> 6* John coughs, sitting up. "Oh, fare lady, you have revived me."
<Ariel> "H... h... how /dare/ you!" *still staring*
* Ariel sits up slowly, not able to meet Warren's eyes.
<DeathStar> <Warren> ...
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl walks over beside Dias, putting a hand on his shoulder.
<MiniGM> <Dias> 6Looks over at Cheryl, he quickly begins wiping tears from his eyes.
<DeathStar> 6* John grins, despite the pain.
<Ariel> "...could she be right?"
<DeathStar> <Warren> No. 6He says firmly.
<Myria> Will you mate now?
<DeathStar> 6* John wiggles his eyebrows at Em.
<Ariel> "WHAT?!"
* Ariel closes her eyes, "...it seems to be a reoccuring circle."
<DeathStar> <John> Hey, you know, if it's doctor's orders.
<Ariel> "She's just a patient!"
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> You did the right thing.
<MiniGM> <Dias> Deserved it for shooting John like that...
<DeathStar> 6* Warren kneels there, looking right at Ariel's face. "You cannot allow self-doubt to enter your mind. Never about yourself."
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Yes. 6She agrees, eyeing the body
<MiniGM> <Dias> 6Finally stands up, loooking back down at Vectors body. 1"Now what?
* Ariel nods slowly. "...but it's not just a coincidence, is it?"
<Ariel> *huffs* "Maybe I should just make you dead again. It'd be easier."
<DeathStar> <John> H-Hey! 6He protests weakly.
<DeathStar> <Warren> We will find out - when we have all the answers. And only then. 6He glances up. "Now let us find out what is important about this planet."
