* Chad`Winters runs his hands through his hair, then turns punching wall beside him.
<DeathStar> 6* The wall gets a hole.
* Chad`Winters pulls his hand back out, and looks down at it. 1"I hope Spade realized it...
<DeathStar> <Adam> Realized what? 6He leans against a wall.
<DeathStar> 6* His body has been outfitted with some sort of new metal lining, and he looks twice as durable than before.
* Chad`Winters turns eyeing Adam. "That the Serena that was at the base was Zeraphna."
<DeathStar> <Adam> That was clever of you. The note and everything.
* Chad`Winters leans his head back. "So what's it going to cost me now..."
<DeathStar> <Adam> Well, there's only two tiny things left for you to do. 6He reaches out and holds up a needle of liquid. "Inject yourself with this, and come with me to see the girls."

<DeathStar> <Adam> It's complicated, so just take it.
* Chad`Winters grabs the needle eyeing it.

* Chad`Winters moves it to his arm, and stacks it in, injecting it

<DeathStar> 6* Chad would feel the world go woozy.
* Chad`Winters grabs his head as he falls to his knee. "What...what...
<DeathStar> <Adam> Come on. Time to enter the rabbit's hole. 6He grabs Chad and teleports.
<DeathStar> 6* Chad's disorientation might increase as he finds himself in a dark room.
* Chad`Winters closes his eyes in an attempt to try to limit the amount of disorientation.
<DeathStar> <Adam> And here I am, a man of my word, Winters. 6He shoves Chad forward - into Eve, who's handcuffed, but able to able hold his arm steady
<Chad`Winters> Eve?
<DeathStar> 6* Eve holds him. "Chad? Oh God, they got you, too." 6She buries her face into his shoulder.
* Chad`Winters reaches out hugging onto Eve. "Are you fine?"
<DeathStar> 6* Eve nods, kissing him on the lips as he hugs her. "I. Was. So. Worried." 6She says between kisses.
* Chad`Winters opens his eyes, blinking in hopes to see if his sight has returned
<DeathStar> 6* It has - the room is apparantly dim. And there seems to be a third person in the room, too.
<Chad`Winters> What about Zephyr? 6He looks over at the other person.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr stands there, having watched their affections for each other. Her hands are also cuffed.
<DeathStar> <Adam> Right here, of course.
* Chad`Winters let's go of Eve, pushing himself up. "Let them go...
<DeathStar> <Adam> Maybe I'm generous enough to let one go. Which one should I pick?
<Chad`Winters> Let them both go, none of them need to get invovled in this.
<DeathStar> <Adam> Just one.
<Chad`Winters> The deal was both girls for what I did.
<DeathStar> <Adam> You got one more thing to do, my friend. So, until then, one girl.
<Chad`Winters> I'll need proof that the one I picked is brought somewhere safe.
<DeathStar> <Adam> Fiiiiine.
<Chad`Winters> 6He motions to Eve. "Her, no teleporting.
<DeathStar> <Adam> Oh, right, like I'll be able to get her out without teleporting.
<DeathStar> <Adam> You really have no idea WHERE we're at.
<Chad`Winters> Well you did drug me and then teleport me.
<DeathStar> <Adam> Hand your datapad to her, establish a link to mine, and she can record herself safe and sound.
* Chad`Winters pulls his datapad out handing it to her.
<DeathStar> 6 *Eve takes the datapad, establishing a link to Adam's. She nods, turning the recorder on. Adam grabs Eve and vanishes in a teleport.
* Chad`Winters quickly moves over to Zephyr, kneeling beside her. "Zeph, did they hurt you?"
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> I am fine.
<DeathStar> 6* Adam returns, tossing his datapad to Chad.
* Chad`Winters twists, grabbing onto the datapad, looking down at it
<DeathStar> 6* Eve seems to be okay, and sends him a message.
* Chad`Winters pockets the datapad, looking back at Zephyr. "You understand why I kept you hear right?"
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> It was the right decision.
<Chad`Winters> Tactically...
<Chad`Winters> I'll get you out of here Zeph...
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> ... Yes. 6She sounds weaker in firmness.
<DeathStar> <Adam> Oh, how nice. Come on. We have someone for you to meet. 6He grabs Chad, leading him out of the room.
* Chad`Winters glances back towards Zephyr
<DeathStar> 6* Adam shoves Chad down a hallway, placing something onto his back, turning it on. "This is to help make things a bit more fair."
<Chad`Winters> What the hell do you mean? 6He slides to a stop, turning aorund to face Adam.
<DeathStar> 6* Adam shoves Chad into a small dirt arena where Seraphna stands.
<DeathStar> <Adam> The children of Cran, fighting it out.
* Seraphna stares him down, "You betrayed everyone... after everything you said..."
* Chad`Winters looks over at Serena. "You still haven't figured it out yet have you."
<DeathStar> 6* Adam paces around the arena, a grin on his face.
<Seraphna> "I TRUSTED YOU!"
<DeathStar> 6* It seems while it is Sera, she's been given just enough medical attention to make her dangerous
<Chad`Winters> You're still naive as ever Serena, why do you think they took Eve and Zephyr.
* Seraphna stares at him, looking as though she's thinking it through... "She vanished from my network... because you gave her that stuff too somehow..."
<Chad`Winters> And why the hell would I do that to someone I care about?
<Seraphna> "Do you? Can you really care? You're a weapon. Just like me. You seem to think I'm so incapable."
* Chad`Winters glances over at Adam, eyeing him dangerously
<DeathStar> 6* Adam grins like a predator.
* Chad`Winters grabs his head, his eyes wandering around.
<Seraphna> "You're supposed to be some strong perfect guy, and you just go along with what they make you do?"
<Chad`Winters> THEY HAD EVE AND ZEPHYR! What else was I supposed to do? LET THEM DIE!
<Seraphna> "But I'm expendable, huh?"
<Seraphna> "William is expendable?"
<DeathStar> 6* Adam glances up at a wall, as if making eye contact with someone.
* Chad`Winters tilts his head, eyeing the direction Adam looks up.
<DeathStar> 6* It appears to be an ordinary wall - but it might be someone is watching them.
<Chad`Winters> You idiots...6He quickly fumbles down to a pouch on his right side, feeling inside it. A paniced look appearing on his face.
<Chad`Winters> You son of a bitches...
<DeathStar> <Adam> And here's the deal, you two. Sera, if you kill Chad, you get the antidote to your virus. Chad, if you kill Sera, you get your antidote.
<DeathStar> <Adam> HAVE AT IT!
<DeathStar> 6 *Adam teleports.
<DeathStar> 6* The exits lock down.
* Seraphna clenches her fist, "...There has to be another way..."
* Chad`Winters slides back. "You need...to get out of her..."
* Seraphna looks around, "They locked down the only exits..."
* Chad`Winters hands tense up, his knuckles turning white.
<Seraphna> "Chad... we have to get out of here, fight it."
<Chad`Winters> They only...want one thing...
<Seraphna> "What?"
* Seraphna moves to one of the exits, looking for anything to get the door open.
<DeathStar> 6* A shock tazers emits and hits Sera.
* Seraphna gasps and leaps back, "Damnit..."
<Seraphna> "Chad, what the hell do we do?"
<Chad`Winters> One of...6He growls punching the ground. "Has to die...
<Seraphna> "Chad I don't want to fight you, you're my family."
<Chad`Winters> Zephyr's lifes at stake...I...won't allow her to die! 6He dashes across the floor, making a beeline towards Serena.
<DeathStar> 6* The air in the room is growing hotter ... it seems the tempature is rising slowly.
* Seraphna lets the feint die at the last moment, like a cat she moves quickly, dropping, kicking out at him as he runs, moving to throw him, towards the tazers.
* Chad`Winters plants his feet as Serena drops to the ground and he twists his body into a spin and he leaps over her, swinging one of his arms out to smack into her.
* Seraphna rolls away on teh dirt, letting him hit ground, rolling back up, taking a defensive stance. "So is William's."
* Chad`Winters hits the ground and rolls onto his feet. He turns to face Serena.
<Seraphna> "And you say I give into my nature too easily."
<Chad`Winters> I'm only doing what needs to be done. 6He dashes forward again towards her.

* Seraphna lets him come, she times her next move, dodging to the side as he run, keeing at his gut from the side.

* Chad`Winters slides into the knee and curls around. His hands slide up her thighs and grab on, his feet plant and his entire body twists, hurling her off to the side.
* Seraphna flies towards a wall, she twists and giuides her landing, onto one knee, panting a little.
<Seraphna> "We can save her together Chad!"
<Chad`Winters> They have us surrounded and are watching us.
<Seraphna> That's stopped you before?
<Chad`Winters> Zephyr's life wasn't at stake.
<Seraphna> And you think Zephyr wants anyone's blood on your hands in her behalf?
<Chad`Winters> Enough talk...6He begins dashing across the arena again, this time running lower to the ground

* Seraphna waits, jsut as he gets close, she throws out her hand, letting dirt fly at his face, before diving to one side, the wall right behind her.
* Chad`Winters throws his hand upto block the dirt in his eyes and leaps onto the wall, pressing against it as he readjust to aim towards Serena. He quckly presses off it and spin kicks towards Sera's head
* Seraphna ducks under his kick, kicking up as he passes by, right under him, at his most sacred area.
<DeathStar> NRP: ZEPHYR STRIKE!
* Chad`Winters twists his other foot up, letting Serena's kick slam into it. He then presses off it to throw her into a spin as he lands a few feet away
* Seraphna rolls and leaps up at the ready again, using the spin to get some distance.
* Chad`Winters plants his feet and leaps in, closing the gap. He throws out a quick jab for her chest
* Seraphna shoves an open palm forward, pushing his jab aside and moving into an uppercut at his chin with her free hand.
* Chad`Winters rotates his head to the side, letting the uppercut hit air. His free hand grabs onto her wrist and he pulls his other hand back quickly jabbing his fingers into a spot in her mid-arm.
* Seraphna turns with his movements and grabs onto that arm, heaving, throwing him, facing the wall.
* Chad`Winters locks his grip onto her arm and plants his feet on the wall then flips off it in an attempt to bring her arm over her head, his other hand would strike out, aiming for a spot on her left shoulder blade aiming upwards.
<DeathStar> NRP: He's aiming for nerve clusters to knock out motor control
* Seraphna instead pulls ratehr violently downwards, groaning a bit as she purposefulyl pulls, stopping his movements in midair, forcing him to the floor.
* Chad`Winters slams into the ground with a grunt. He begins pushing himself up.
* Seraphna growls ferally, tackling him, forcing him back to teh ground, punching, her other hand clawing with her fingernails, something in her snapping.
* Chad`Winters slams his hand into the ground and spins himself with Sera on his back. He twists around throwing a punch straight for her face.
* Seraphna ducks her head, wrapping her arms around his neck, squeezing, growling more, biting at him.
* Chad`Winters face tenses in pain as she bites him. Both his hands dart forward, one hand aiming for a spot under her rib, while the other aims for a spot right below her left armpit
* Seraphna reacts by violently pushing herself up off his back, pulling at his head and neck hard, roughly, using his body for leverage.
* Chad`Winters plants his feet and dashes backwards to slam her into the wall
* Seraphna groans in pain but holds on vicelike, her nails digging into his flesh, she pulls harder, as if trying to pull off his head.
<Chad`Winters> NRP: Actually you'd be digging into his tact suit, which would become very hard wherever you apply pressure.
<Seraphna> NRP: Nope. :)
<Chad`Winters> NRP: Well you said arms earlier not hands around my neck so.
<Seraphna> NRP: I know.
<DeathStar> NRP: Your tact suit is disabled.
<DeathStar> NRP: Okay, that feature is kinetic energy, so it would still occur.
<Seraphna> NRP: well then she's digging into it
* Chad`Winters growls in pain and grabs onto her left leg, pulling it violently infront of him and twisting it. He brings his left hand down right into the ankle aiming for another nerve spot.
* Seraphna screams as she finally gets jsut the leverage she needed, using her leg to twist, she grabs his head, violently pulling it to one side as he moves.

<DeathStar> 6* The team has been gathered in the conference room for one final briefing.
* Kane sits at the table, his right leg bouncing as he impatiently waits for Darien to speak.
* Cassandra`Arakawa sits in her usual seat.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren leans on his cane, preferring to stand despite his condition.
* Ceilidh sits, seeming just as impatient as Kane
<DeathStar> 6* Darien motions to a map of the city. "We've tracked Adam's movements to a location just under the city here." 6He points at a part of the map. "It appears V.I. has constructed some sort of base underground, deep under the sewers and subways of the city. This would explain how they could hit us, and then vanish."
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Wonder how long this has been going on then.
<Ceilidh> "So, I had the right idea... just not deep enough..."
* Kane nods his head, silent as he stares at the map.
<Ariel> <Setsuna> "Crappy tastes in local."
<DeathStar> <Darien> We have no intel on the base, and we don't have time to get it. I believe this is their primary base, and this is where all the answers are at.
<Kane> So do we hit the sewers and search for an entrance? *he finally chimes in*
<DeathStar> <Warren> We don't have time to be searching for an entrance, unfortunately. They could have sensors set up in the sewers.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Blast straight down then?
<DeathStar> <Darien> Unless someone else has a better idea, that's my plan.
* Kane shrugs, not having a better idea.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Looks like I'll need my Standard Issue Big Gun.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Let me blunt: We don't know how many troops are down there and we don't have time to deploy the military. We need everyone we can get and we need everyone know.
<DeathStar> (Now)
* Kane glances at Darien. "Even Xan?"
<DeathStar> <Darien> At this point, he's one more target than myself.
<Kane> A target? *he arches a brow, obviously not following*
<Ceilidh> "I'm not sure how much help I'll be with the shooting, but at least I can keep people alive."
<DeathStar> <Darien> For them to shoot. 6He reiterates plainly.
* Kane nods now, finally understanding. "Alright. I can get ahold of him."
<DeathStar> <Darien> Ceilidh, I want you to get Fox here. We could use her.
* Ceilidh nods, and comms
<DeathStar> <Darien> I've recently learned that Albert White has taken control of operations at Janus. If he's against V.I., we could use him. I want someone to contact him and inform him of our attack, and see if he'll join us.
<Ariel> <Setsuna> "A social call to Janus?"
<DeathStar> <Darien> Essentially.
<Ceilidh> "Well, any backup is good."
<Cassandra`Arakawa> I don't even know him.
* Kane slides off to the side to pull up his comm, he begins to speak into it.
* Kane glances up from his comm. "When are we moving out and where do we meet?"
<DeathStar> 6* Darien rolls his eyes. "He acts as if this is a dinner."
<DeathStar> <Warren> Instability. 6He notes seriously.
<Kane> Well he needs to know...
<DeathStar> <Darien> Tell him to track your signal. Anyway, I need someone with gear experience. Anyone here?
<Ariel> "...fighting or piloting?"
<DeathStar> <Darien> We're going to use the gear's weapons to drill our hole. We need someone who can handle it.

<DeathStar> 6* Darien briefly wonders if Fox was outside the entire time to get here.
* Ceilidh seems a little surprised at how quickly it was, but says nothing
* Kane puts his comm into his pocket and slides back over to the table. "So who will be piloting the gear?"
<Ariel> <Setuna> "Gears... never been my thing. Never got more than the most basic training."
<Cassandra`Arakawa> I'm spec ops ground.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien glances toward Ariel.
<Kane> How similar is a gear to a dragoon? *he glances towards Ariel*
<Ariel> "I... do not think I'd be much help, for that part."
<DeathStar> <Warren> I'll pilot it then.
* Red_Fox heads in, unless the door's locked
<DeathStar> <Darien> Then we're set. Grab the biggest weapons you can find and lets move out.

<DeathStar> 6* Darien whispers something to Warren and Warren nods, moving to limp his way to the hanger.
* Kane pulls himself onto his feet and slides off to the munitions room so he can stock up on weapons.

<Ariel> <Setsuna> *mutters something as she gets up, heading to the armory*
* Ariel looks to Darien, "...do you think she'll be there?"

<DeathStar> 6* Albert White arrives, with a company of 30 Janus soldiers.
* Kane slides back. He glances at Xanatos who was already standing back.
* Red_Fox eyes the soldiers. "They're with you, right?"
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Everyone is clear.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Hopefully.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren moves the gear onto the street, shaking the ground as he sets it up. He aims his weapon at the ground.
<DeathStar> 6* Movement on the rooftops.
* Red_Fox looks to the rooftops
* Kane jerks his head upwards, pulling his rifle up to aim at the roof.
<Ariel> <Setsuna> *glances at the Janus troops*
<DeathStar> 6* A rocket flies down from the roof, hitting the Gear.
* Kane searches about with his rifle, looking for the target to exterminate.
* Red_Fox pulls out a pistol and looks to where the rocket came from
* Ariel quickly scans over the area, "...it seems safe to say they know we're coming."
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Probably the mole is still around...
<DeathStar> <Darien> HOW?
<Red_Fox> "... pretty much..."
<DeathStar> <Darien> None of us left each other's sight.
<DeathStar> 6* The Gear sparks as Warren readjusts. A second rocket flies down.
<Red_Fox> "... they don't have the place bugged or something, do they?"
<Red_Fox> NRP: That should've been Ceil
<Cassandra`Arakawa> ...what about inside Janus?
* Kane keeps searching for the attackers.
* Ariel opens fire on the second rocket
* Red_Fox likewise opens fire
* Xanatos adjusts his jacket, looking around to make sure they aren't attack from the ground as well.
<DeathStar> 6* The rocket explodes.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Take out that man!
* Cassandra`Arakawa tries to get a bead on the rocket man.
* Red_Fox looks for the man, firing when she has a bead
* Kane is still trying to find the rocket guy.
<DeathStar> 6* The man's head appears just briefly.
* Red_Fox fires!
* Cassandra`Arakawa squeezes off a shot.
<Ariel> <Setuna> *starts up the nearest fireescape. Someone needs a bird's eye view to make sure the area is clear*

<Red_Fox> "Nice shooting."
<DeathStar> 6* Warren opens fire into the ground, rapidly digging.
* Kane lowers his rifle after he watches the man's head pop like a balloon.
<DeathStar> <Albert> It would seem we have a fight on our hands, General Starr.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Keep on the tunneling...
<DeathStar> 6* A sniper opens fire at Darien from a second roof.
* Red_Fox spins to target the sniper
* Ariel pushes Darien aside
<DeathStar> 6* Darien hits the ground in a roll as he's pushed.
* Kane jerks around toward the sniper fire, raising his own rifle to see if he can get a bead on the sniper.
<DeathStar> 6* The Gear slowly vanishes down into the ground as it drills.
<DeathStar> 6* The sniper ducks out of sight, apparantly getting a better vantage.
<Ariel> <Setsuna> *starts looking over the other roofs as she secures a spot on the top of a building*
* Kane searches along the roof to determine where the sniper will appear, he chooses a place that would most likely be a better vantage for the sniper.
<DeathStar> 6* The sniper fires at Setsuna from behind an air vent.
<Ariel> <Setsuna> *ducks behind cover, pulling out her own rifle* "..dammit!"
* Ceilidh keeps watch, shooting at the sniper the moment he comes into view
* Red_Fox does that, even
<DeathStar> 6* The sniper raises just enough that Fox and Kane can see him.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Sir, permission to use HE rounds.
* Red_Fox fires!
* Kane targets the sniper and then fires.
<DeathStar> 6* The sniper is hit.
<Red_Fox> "Do you think they'll have any more?"
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Yes.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Yes.
<Ceilidh> "... keep an eye open..."
<DeathStar> 6* And just like that, VI troops begin to come out of the sewers.
* Ceilidh gets her own rifle ready, looking... to the sewers
* Red_Fox starts firing on the troops
* Cassandra`Arakawa starts laying down cover fire.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien pulls out a gun and fires at the troops. The Janus troops move to engage as well.
* Xanatos pulls his his pistols and begins to fire onto the troops.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren's gear leaps out of the hole, then it switches to a rail gun, aiming it down the hole.
* Ceilidh fires too, rather amateurly, but the extra firepower can't hurt, anyway
* Kane takes measured shots with his rifle to make sure he hits the mark.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren fires the rail gun into the hole, shaking the entire street.
<DeathStar> 6* The troops fire back, apparantly unconcerned if they get gunned down.
<DeathStar> * Warren firs again and again into the hole.
* Xanatos makes sure he isn't shot as he continues to fire at the troops.
<DeathStar> 6* The troops and the JAnus forces engage when Warren comms them.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> These guys don't care whether they live or die!
<DeathStar> <Warren on Gear Speakers> The way is clear. We need to move in now!
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Lock and load, people! *heads down!*
* Red_Fox moves for the entrance, and heads down
* Ceilidh follows Cass and Fox
* Ariel starts to the hole, as Setsuna provides cover fire for the moment.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien begins to move down the hole, which leads past the sewers and straight down. DArien tosses a rope and swings down quickly.
* Kane moves along after the others, Xanatos right behind him.
<DeathStar> 6* The hole leads straight down into the underground levels. Soon enough they reach what appears to be a metallic floor.
<Ceilidh> "Looks like we made it."
<Cassandra`Arakawa> We've hit it.
<Red_Fox> "Yep, this is definitely a base."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien feels along it. "We need to blast our way in."
* Kane steps up pulling out a silver disk. "Just point to the spot."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien points to a weaker point.
<DeathStar> <Darien> I think that'll do it.
<DeathStar> 6* On the surface, Janus and VI troops continue to clash.
* Kane moves over to the spot and places the explosive device. He stands and steps back, motioning for everyone to do the same.
<Ariel> <Setsuna> *takes a couple more potshots at VI troops, before giving up her nest, and heading down after the others.
* Ceilidh keeps way back
* Ariel moves clear of the blast radius
* Red_Fox stands back
<DeathStar> 6* Darien leans back.
* Kane triggers the explosion.

<DeathStar> 6 *Warren reaches the metal floor, breathing heavily as he leans on his cane. He pulls out his bottle of pain killers.

* Kane hops down behind Darien, slides to the left and aiming down the hallway.
* Ceilidh heads down after Kane
* Xanatos hops down, keeping a check on the right side.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren pops some pills, pocketing them again. He motions Ariel to go next.
* Cassandra`Arakawa gets ready...
* Red_Fox stands ready also
* Ceilidh looks around cautiously
<DeathStar> <Darien> Okay, we have two possible paths.
<DeathStar> I'll take left point, and Warren will take right point.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Orders, sir?
<Red_Fox> NRP: Woah, DeathStar arrives to save us all!

<DeathStar> <Darien> Our mission is simple: Destroy any VI agents you find, rescue Zephyr, find Origin, and destroy this base.
<Red_Fox> "Origin..."
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Termination sweep. Alright.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Xanatos, you're with me. 6He says with a glint in his eyes.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien moves down the left hallway.
<Red_Fox> "I'll go with Warren, if there are no objections."
* Xanatos hesitates, then moves after Darien.
* Ariel heads after Darien, while Setsuna heads the other way.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren moves down the right hallway, adjusting his blaster, moving quickly for a man with a cane.
* Kane moves after Warren, providing cover as needed.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien moves along the hallways, grimly determined.
* Red_Fox follows Warren. Ceilidh glances around for a moment, then follows Darien
<DeathStar> 6* Darien runs along the hallways when 5 VI Troops ambush his group, firing at them.
<DeathStar> <Warren> ... an elevator. 6He eyes the dead end of an elevator. He hits the button with his cane, but it is locked.
<Ariel> <Setsuna> "..that a good idea?"
* Kane pulls his arms up, firing at the troops.
<Kane> NRP: Err piss. That was Xan.
* Ariel ducks to the side, taking cover if there is any (pressing against the wall if there's not) and firing of two quick blasts of energy at one of the soldiers
<DeathStar> <Warren> Perhaps I just like buttons.
* Ceilidh takes cover, and shoots at the troops
<Xanatos> Want me to try and unlock it? *he glances at Warren*
<DeathStar> NRP: XAN AND KANE ARE LOOPED
<Red_Fox> "Go ahead."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien jerks back so he doesn't get shot.
<DeathStar> <Warren> Do it.
<Kane> NRP: Jesus I screwed up.
* Kane nods and moves over, attempting to use his datapad to hack it open.
<DeathStar> 6* The troops seem to be taking up defensive positions as well.
<DeathStar> <Darien> We can't be slowed down here.
* Cassandra`Arakawa moves in under stealth mode to the group of VI tropps pinning Darien's group down and unloads on them at poitn blank.
<Red_Fox> "Almost like the old days."
<DeathStar> 6* The troops are decimated.
<Red_Fox> "... damn, I sound like an old maid now."
* Xanatos pulls his pistols up and glances at Darien, letting him lead the way.
<Kane> NRP: Brb.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien hurries forward again, glancing around the hallways.
<DeathStar> 6* The elevator doors slide open up for Warren's group. He steps in.
* Red_Fox steps in after
<DeathStar> NRP: Now you're doing it!
* Ceilidh follows Darien
<DeathStar> NRP: Okay, I got you now
<DeathStar> 6* Darien's group reaches an area labeled "Lab". He stops, eyeing the sign.
* Kane slides into the elevator.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren hits the next floor and the doors close.
* Xanatos slides to a stop, he glances at Darien, then the sign.
<Ceilidh> "... they might be in there."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien tries to step in, but it's locked. "I want this door open."
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Blast it or use finesse?
* Xanatos glances around, not an expert in this area.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Finesse.
<DeathStar> <Darien> There could be important stuff inside.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren's group reaches the second floor --- and 10 troops aim at them.
* Red_Fox fires a shot at the nearest, then moves for cover
* Cassandra`Arakawa nods and gets to work on cracking the lock.
<Ariel> <Setsuna> *throws a grenade out*
<DeathStar> 6* Warren reaches into his coat for a grenade, then eyes Setsuna approvingly.
<DeathStar> 6* The troops are blown to hell.
* Ariel eyes the lock, and then forms her blade. "Finesseful enough?"
<DeathStar> 6* A cloaked troop sneaks up behind Ceil, aiming a knife for her throat.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Works for me. You two decide the method.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Be my guest. This VI cyberspace is on crack anyway.
* Xanatos jerks his pistol around, aiming beside Ceil's head and fires at the cloaked troop.
<Ceilidh> "... thanks..."
<DeathStar> 6* The troop falls over dead.
* Ariel jabs the blade through the lock, and pushes the door open.
<DeathStar> <Warren> ... *grunts in approval to Setsuna, then steps over the decimated bodies*
* Ceilidh notes the troop as Xan shoots, looking a little shaken
<DeathStar> 6* The lab doors slide open to reveal a large lab.
* Xanatos points to his eye, saying nothing in return.
* Ceilidh hurries inside the lab
<DeathStar> 6* Darien steps inside and sees tons of equipments running data - and in the center, Erevis floating in a tube, eyes closed, machines hooked to her head.
* Xanatos stares at Erevis, his jaw tightens and his fists clench.
* Kane steps out after Warren, moving along with him.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren moves along the hallway, his gun ready for action. "Stay tight. Who knows what's down here."
* Ariel looks over for any sign of Zephyr, then heads over to the tube with Erevis
* Ceilidh heads over to the equipment, examining it
* Kane nods, tightening his grip on his rifle.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien moves over to the equipment, spotting brain waves - two sets of them.
<Ariel> <Setsuna> "An army and more boobytraps than we know what to do with?"
<DeathStar> <Warren> Point.
<DeathStar> <Darien> .... amazing.
* Ceilidh looks for a way to free Erevis
<DeathStar> 6* Darien grabs Ceil, stopping her, as he eyes the data.
* Xanatos looks at Darien. "What does this mean?"
<Cassandra`Arakawa> ...so is Nietsczhe right? Is the mind the body's plaything?
<DeathStar> <Darien> If I'm reading this right - and I'm no scientist, but it appears they isolated Erevis' brain waves, so they could gain access to her memories. But it created a unique...side effect.
<Ceilidh> "... aren't we here to... you think they're both in there now?"
<Xanatos> What kind of a side effect?
* Ceilidh heads after Warren
* Red_Fox heads after Warren even
<DeathStar> <Darien> ... 6He holds up a hand. "They created a phantom brain wave, one that is human. I think it's... Katrina's. A ghost type personality. It's not the real Katrina, since Erevis' soul is in the body, but it's Katrina's brain waves.
<Ceilidh> "... we can't be sure... but..."
<DeathStar> <Darien> ... 6He keeps reading the information, obviously fascinated.
<Xanatos> K..katrina's? *he looks at Erevis, floating there.
<DeathStar> 6* Suddenly, a Beta flies down the hallway at Warren's group - a normal one, it appears.
* Ceilidh seems just as fascinated as Darien
<Ariel> "......"
* Red_Fox readies her gun and prepares to fire

<Ariel> <Setsuna> "...crap!" *pulls out a pistol grenade and attaches it to her handgun*
<DeathStar> <Darien> .... I see. 6He glances at them. "Since they wanted ERevis' pure memories, they separated the human part of the brainwaves. This resulted in the phantom brain waves. And it seems using this machine, I can do one of three things.
* Red_Fox fires on the beta, whether it does anything or not
* Kane slides to a knee and pulls up his pistol, he knows the weakness of the beta's so he fires at one particular one.
* Ceilidh nods, understanding, but letting Darien explain anyway
* Xanatos glances, "What can you do?"
<DeathStar> <Darien> I can....isolated Erevis' personality alone, and let Erevis have full control of the body. Or I could try to subvert Erevis' dominat personality and put the Katrina brain waves in control. Or, I could recreate the combination, and mix them up again. ... naturaly, though, they each have their own down sides.
<Ceilidh> "... for each of the first two, you'd be killing the other..."
* Xanatos stands there, his lowers his head.
<DeathStar> <Darien> If we put Erevis in control, she would have no human ... morales. And I think she would have more psionic power, since her personality is so dominat. She could destroy us. If we put Katrina's brain waves, her personality is subserveant, and would be like a dual personality, with Erevis much like Chad's ID. If Erevis ever got control, it could be mad. And if we combined them, then they would constantly be in a dualogy (cont)

* Ariel is quiet. She has no place in the decision. Instead, she looks for sign of where Zephyr is held.
<DeathStar> 6* There's no clues in the lab.
<Ceilidh> "..."
<DeathStar> 6* The Beta fires at them before they can fire.
<Ceilidh> "... I..."
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Sir, we still have the rest of VI to deal with as well.
* Kane attempts to get out of the way of the Beta's fire.
* Red_Fox moves for cover, still firing
<DeathStar> <Darien> ... 6He glances toward Xan. "You should decide."
<DeathStar> 6* Warren is hit, knocked back into the elevator. The Beta fires a grenade at them.
<Ariel> <Setsuna> *ducks aside, and quickly fires the grenade. Hoping to hit something vital*
<Xanatos> Me!? Why me?
<DeathStar> <Darien> Because you're the one willing to kill people and myself to get your so called justice. Now: Pick your justice.
* Kane attempts to get out of the way of the grenade.
* Red_Fox keeps out of the way as much as possible
<DeathStar> 6* The Beta is hit by the grenade, being blasted back, while it's own grenade goes off, knocking everyone painfully.
* Ceilidh seems almost not-there again.
* Xanatos sighs. "It's Katrina's body, wouldn't it be fair to give it back to her?"
* Kane slides across the ground, wincing from the explosion.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Like I said, it's not really Katrina. ERevis' soul is in the body. However, who says who holds dominance ? The mind? The soul? The body? 6He looks at Cass, since this relates to her own problem.
<Ceilidh> "If Katrina's already gone..."
<Cassandra`Arakawa> What is the definition of humanity?
<Ceilidh> "Isn't it unfair to force Erevis to be her...?"
<Xanatos> And if we combine them, how do we know who will be in control?
<Ariel> <Setsuna> *mutters under her breath* "...why did all of our fricken heavy weapons have to go the OTHER way."
<Red_Fox> "Don't look at me."
<DeathStar> <Darien> It would be a mixing, like before. However, since the ritual to bring her back was faulty, it could be bad.
<Xanatos> So all options could potentially be deadly?
<DeathStar> <Darien> Yes.
<Kane> NRP: That beta still alive?
<DeathStar> 6* The Beta, seemingly, is gone...
<Red_Fox> "Can regular guns even damage those things?"
<DeathStar> 6 *Warren strains to sit up.
* Xanatos rubs his face. "Combine them...at least that way, she'll have some morals and may potentially not want to kill us all."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien begins to mix the personalities again, then looks at Ariel. "You should continue. If this floor has the lab, then Zephyr is one floor below us, most likely."
<Ceilidh> "I'll stay behind with Erevis."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien reaches into a coat, pulling out a needle of some sort, setting it on the console.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> We'll proceed then. *moves out of the lab*
<DeathStar> 6* Darien glances at Ariel once more, then back at his work.
<DeathStar> <Warren> Lets...go... 6He strains to stand, his legs shaking.
* Xanatos glances at Darien. "What is that?"
* Kane moves over to help Warren up.
* Red_Fox does likewise
* Ariel nods, and starts out quickly, looking for the way down.
<DeathStar> <Darien> This will block all psionic powers Erevis has.
* Ceilidh listens impassively
<Xanatos> And you'll be injecting that into her?
<DeathStar> 6* Warren stands, getting his cane and leaning on it. "Move on. If I fall behind, leave me."
* Kane nods and turns, moving on down the hall.
<DeathStar> 6* Ariel and Cassandra would find an elevator nearby - it's locked.
<Ariel> <Setsuna> *looks at Warren* "You want us to what?"
<Red_Fox> "Warren..."
* Ariel looks to Cassandra, "Might be best for you to handle this."
<DeathStar> <Darien> After she wakes up. I can't do it until this proceed is done
<DeathStar> <Warren> The mission is more important. Now go.
<Red_Fox> "Damn it..."
<Xanatos> It wont hurt her, will it?
<Red_Fox> "... don't you dare let yourself get killed."
<Ariel> <Setsuna> "Bah, you better not give me another funeral to attend." *proceeds onward*

* Red_Fox pauses, as if uncertain, then follows Setsuna
<DeathStar> <Darien> .... it might.
* Cassandra`Arakawa nods and gets to work cracking the elevator's lock.
* Xanatos sighs. "..."
<Ceilidh> "... and you're going to give her reason to lash out?"
<DeathStar> <Darien> This is in case she DOES lash out. Remember, the mix is unstable. You think she's going to be sane when she first wakes?
<DeathStar> <Darien> We'll probably have a fight on our hands.
<Ceilidh> "..."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien finishes the proceedure, then begins to activate the machine.
<DeathStar> 6* CAssandra beats the lock.
<Xanatos> It'll be just like she was revived. she'll be scared and that means she'll most likely lash out.
<DeathStar> 6* Setsuna and the others reach a door - with fighting o nthe other side.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Let's go. *moves inside*
* Kane attempts to open the door.
* Red_Fox readies her gun

* Ariel steps onto the elevator
<DeathStar> 6* Warren catches up after a bit, breathing hard.
* Kane glances at Setsuna. "Can you open it?"
<Ariel> <Setsuna> "...geez. Do they have to lock EVERYTHING? Don't they trust us?" *gets out her tools*
* Red_Fox laughs a little
<DeathStar> 6* The elevator has only one other floor.
<DeathStar> 6* The door is unlocked. A panel will now open it.
* Cassandra`Arakawa clicks the button for the next floot.
<DeathStar> 6* The elevator lowers.
<DeathStar> 6* It opens up to a hallway - they can hear people nearby. It sounds like the rest of the team.
* Xanatos watches Darien work. He goes to say something, but then stops, he just stares ahead.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien watches the bar meter rise.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren hits the panel button and the door lifts - to reveal Chad and Sera killing each other.
<Red_Fox> "O...kay."
* Kane stares at Chad and Sera. "....Who are we supposed to help?"
<DeathStar> 6* Warren stares inside as Sera is about to break Chad's neck.
* Cassandra`Arakawa steps out of the elevator...
* Seraphna is on Chad's back, looking about inches from snapping his neck.
* Kane pulls up his rifle, aiming at Sera.
<DeathStar> <Warren> .... 6He fires his gun into the room. "ENOUGH."
* Chad`Winters tightens his neck muscle, fighting her attempt to snap his neck. He grabs onto both her wrists squeezing them and then yanking them forward.
* Red_Fox notes Kane's action, and aims at Sera too
<DeathStar> 6* CAssandra can hear a gunshot and Warren shouting.
* Seraphna blinska nd pushes against the wall qwwith her back, kicking Chad forward.
<Ariel> <Setsuna> "...normally I'd say Chad."
<DeathStar> 6* Warren steps into the room, aiming his gun at Chad, since the others have Chad covered.
* Chad`Winters slides forward, spinning around into a low crouch.
<DeathStar> <Warren> How interesting. A sibling fight.
<Cassandra`Arakawa> Sounds like the party has already begun.
<Seraphna> "He helped VI kidnap me! And William!"
<DeathStar> 6* Warren eyes Chad.
<Seraphna> "Did you guys find Zephyr?"
* Kane slides into the room, keeping Sera at the end of his rifle, he glances at Warren, then looks from Chad and Sera.
* Seraphna keeps her eyes on Chad.
<Chad`Winters> I had no choice...It was work for VI or let Eve and Zephyr die...6He begins stepping towards her.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Done. 6He steps back as the machine disengages and the tube drains.
<Seraphna> "They can help us save her Chad, we can stop now!"
<DeathStar> 6* Warren eyes Sera's foot damage, and Chad's neck damage. "This fight is over."
* Ariel heads out, looking for Zephyr. She's likely to find the others, but she rather find Zephyr.
* Ceilidh watches Erevis, more worried for Erevis' sake than her own
<Seraphna> "Tell him that not me!"
<DeathStar> <Warren> Where is Zephyr?
* Xanatos steps forward.
<Seraphna> "Probably in a cell like William."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien grabs the needle, eyeing the tube drain on the naked redhead.
<DeathStar> 6* Clapping can be heard suddenly.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren jerks his head up as Adam appears in front of the second door that Chad came through earlier
<Red_Fox> "Oh, it's YOU."
<DeathStar> <Adam> Bravo! BRAVO! You are all like monkeys, desperately scrambling for the answers.
* Red_Fox sounds more disgusted than worried
* Kane moves his rifle to aim at Adam now.
* Chad`Winters is breatheing heavily through his nose as he grabs onto his left hand.
* Cassandra`Arakawa continues forward.
<DeathStar> 6* Cassandra and Ariel arrive behind everyone else.
<DeathStar> <Adam> Ah, but if you shoot me, then you'll never learn the end game.

<DeathStar> 6* Erevis' eyes begin to open.
* Xanatos seems to stop breathing as he watches Erevis slowly waken.
<Ceilidh> "Erevis... it's okay... we're here to rescue you."
<Chad`Winters> Where's ZEPHYR?
* Red_Fox readies her gun anyway.
<DeathStar> <Adam> Do you want Zephyr, Mr. Winters?
* Ariel aims her hand at Adam, Chad has asked what she wants to know.
<DeathStar> 6* Adam motions to the second door and it begins to open.
* Chad`Winters reaches upto his neck jamming his finger into a spot nect to his 4th vertabrate.
<DeathStar> <Adam> Of course, in about ten minutes, you'll be killing everyone in this room.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren eyes Chad suddenly.
<Seraphna> "They took his antidote."
* Kane slides his eyes to Chad as well.
<Chad`Winters> I'll die before that happens...
<Seraphna> "They also infected me with a virus, I can't use my abilities."
<DeathStar> <Adam> Enjoy your last bit of sanity with zephyr. 6He steps through the second door as Zephte steps out.
<Red_Fox> "Can I shoot him now?" *pointing her gun at Adam*
* Red_Fox fires as Adam disappears
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr lifts her handcuffed arms and shatters them.
* Seraphna blinks
* Kane eyes the scene in front of him, unsure what to do.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr drops her hands to her sides, forming her gun. "Hello everyone," 6she says, her head tilting like a puppet.
<DeathStar> <Warren> Oh no...
* Ariel has quit IRC (Ping timeout)
<DeathStar> 6 *Erevis blinks once, then suddenly she shatters the tube with a burst of psionics that throws everyone back and rocks the base.

* Ceilidh doesn't even try to defend herself, being thrown back
<Kane> .....*he stumbles a bit as the base shakes*

* Xanatos is knocked back, he slides across the floor, crashing into a desk or two.

* Red_Fox stumbles a bit. "Damn, I knew I should've shot him before he left..."

* Kane narrows his eyes, "This isn't going to be easy."
<Red_Fox> "Heh." *starts firing on Zeraphna immediately*

<DeathStar> 6* Adam appears behind Cassandra, gripping her in a grip hold. "Right here, babe." 6He teleports out with her.
<Ceilidh> "Erevis... you don't have to do this..."
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis' eyes are wild, clearly unfocused. She begins to tear the base apart, screaming.
<Red_Fox> "Fuck, not fast enough..."
<DeathStar> <DArien> Da-Damn....
<DeathStar> 6* Darien is pushed against the wall, the needle slipping out and along the floor.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren eyes Zephyr, looking stunned.
* Xanatos growls from the force of her power. He attempts to grab the needle and craw forward toward Erevis.

* Seraphna is on one knee, "Need a minute..."
* Chad`Winters raises his hands slowly, sweat beginning to bead off his forehead
* Ceilidh moves to help Xan, seemingly reluctantly
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis focuses on him, holding out her hand, trying to push against him with telekenetics.
* Xanatos slides back as her telekentics hit him, but that doesn't keep him down as he strains to move forward.
<Kane> ...*he seems unsure who he is supposed to shoot*
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr aims her gun at Chad. "You seem unlike yourself, Chad."
<Ceilidh> "... I... can't do it..."
<DeathStar> <Erevis> I will...stop you... 6She hisses as she fights him.
<Chad`Winters> ...Ye...yeah....I'm losing the fight..against myself...
* Ceilidh sighs, eyeing Erevis and Xan
* Ariel moves forward. "Zephyr. Stop it."

<DeathStar> 6* ERevis rips out another wall, and suddenly Origin vials come falling out. The stolen origin.

<Xanatos> No....*he groans as he struggles forward* I...will...help you...
<Chad`Winters> Zephyr...You're not yourself...
<Ceilidh> "... what are those...?"
<DeathStar> 6* Darien grabs the origin vials. "V.I...."
* Seraphna heads after Zera now.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis begins to crush Xan's throat. "You...brought me back...."
<Ceilidh> "Erevis... let me get you out of here..."
* Ceilidh blinks a little at that last bit
<Ariel> 6* The large beta scans over those gathered, then raises it's cannon.
* Xanatos gasps, "I...I..." he stops moving all together as he takes pained gasps for air. "I didn't..." his head sinks as if ashamed by the fact that he didn't.
* Chad`Winters suddenly falls down to his knees, his hands clutching his head. Seconds later he slumps over on the ground
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> You will lose. Your fighting capabilitites are no much for mine.
* Red_Fox pulls out her saber, moving to fight the beta
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis tenses her grip again, floating Xan inches from her face, her green eyes blazing with anger.
<Ariel> 6* The beta almost casually fires an explosive shell into Fox's path, seeming almost ammused.
* Kane glances at Warren. "Someone needs to sedate Chad, or he is going to lose it."
<DeathStar> <Erevis> I. Died. For. You.
<DeathStar> <Warren> LEave Chad for now, take out that Beta.
* Red_Fox jumps out of the way, then rushes at the beta, saber ready
<DeathStar> 6* Warren steps up beside Ariel. "You'll fight us both, Zephyr."
* Xanatos continues to gasp for breath. "You....shouldn't...have.." He gasps again. "...had too."
* Ariel looks to Warren hesitantly.
<Ceilidh> "... we'll get you out of here... I'LL get you out of here..."

<Ariel> 6* The beta kicks in it's boosters as Kane moves, pivoting with uncanny speed for a monster of it's size, and settling for slamming Fox with the dead weight of one leg. As it comes around, it fires a large plasma blast in Kane's direction.
