His training partner has been selected to be Erevis, since she knows most of the moves anyway. And Dias, due to fighting in a hanger, has been required to attend the training class as well, or face brig time.

<DeathStar> 6* John stands there, having been going over a few of the basic steps, and the importance of only fighting when necessary. He looks pained at having to do such a basic class. Erevis merely looks blank as she stands there.
<Alicia> <Terra> *seems almost bored*
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias leans against the back wall, his head staring up at the cieling.
* Chad`Winters hangs against a training bag, Aya resting between his legs as he watches everyone.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren stands in the training room, sitting in a chair. He appears to be zoinked out.
* Seraphna has come to watch the show, sitting near the beck, working on a datapad.
<Arhn> <Myria> *is attending the class!*

<Alicia> <Hotaru> *likewise hangs back, looking mostly normal, just pained*
<DeathStar> <John> Now, I shall go over a few basic training steps to protect once and to minimize damage to your opponent - and yourself.

<Alicia> <Hotaru> *doesn't answer. She doesn't really know herself*
* Chad`Winters looks down at Aya. 1"Now you pay close attention Aya, you'll need to know how to beat up boys who are mean to you.
<Alicia> <Hotaru> *sighs a little, then makes a semi-response* <I feel sick.>
<DeathStar> 6* John steps over to Erevis. His eyes never meet Erevis', and it's clear he's uneasy. He steps behind her, then throws an around her neck, as putting her in a strangle hold. "If your attacker comes in from behind, there are several methods one can use to take your attacker out.
<Seraphna> <Sick...? What do you mean? I mean... can we get sick?>
<Alicia> <Hotaru> <This sort, yes.>
<Seraphna> <But the onyl time I've ever felt sick was the Virus...>
<Alicia> <Hotaru> <IT'S NOT THE VIRUS!>
<Ariel> Em> *is taking the training leasons... one of the people there needing the most training, and still having a name*
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis stands there stiffly. John continues to speak. "As you can see, this method, while frightening, leaves one open to attack. Erevis, can you demonstrate...?" 6* Suddenly Erevis stomps his foot, then elbows him in the gut, then judo throws him over her shoulder onto the mat.
<Alicia> <Kyouki> *hangs back a little, being there, but uncertain*

* Seraphna flinches and holds her head. <Ow... sis...>
<Alicia> <Hotaru> *tries to avoid looking at Dias at all*
<DeathStar> 6* John rolls onto his side. Clearly, Erevis put effort into that one.
<Alicia> <Terra> "Not bad."
<Ariel> Em> *flinches. Even if that wasn't aimed at her, she felt some of it*
<DeathStar> <John> As you...*hack* can see, your attacker's body is open to many attacks, if they choose to come in from behind.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias continues to stare up at the cieling, one of his fingers picking his nose*
<Alicia> <Hotaru> <Sorry... I just...>
<DeathStar> 6* John stands up. "One doesn't need to resort to extreme situations to take down an opponent."
<DeathStar> 6* Warren whacks Dias with his cane, never looking away from the training

<Alicia> <Hotaru> <What is there to talk about? I made a mistake.>
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias scowls in pain as he rubs his bruised rib, he moves down farther out of Warren's reach.
<DeathStar> 6* John pulls out a fake gun, aiming it at Erevis. "Now, to make this more interesting, what if you're faced with a frontal assault with a weapon? I'm a good meter away from my victim. This would appear to be a helpless situation. However..."
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis brings up her foot, knocking the gun hand so John's aim is shot, then she snags his wrist, twisting to cause pressure and drop him to his knees. <John> Ungh.
<Alicia> <Terra> "Yeah, she's good."
<Alicia> <Kyouki> *nods in agreement, as if it was never in question*
<Ariel> Em> *takes mental notes*
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias looks at Terra and Kyouki. "It's easy to do that if you know your attacker isn't going to harm you...It's different when they can shoot back.
<Alicia> <Hotaru> <You think John hates me now?>
<Alicia> <Terra> "Oh really?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> You willing to risk your life on a chance that your opponent won't fire out of panic?

<DeathStar> 6* Erevis lets go and John stands up, waving his hand. "Now, this is probably a more scary moment for someone. A frontal assault. However, like all moves, there's openings as well. Watch." 6He steps forward and grabs Erevis by the throat, lifting her up and slamming her against the wall. Her eyes widen a notch, and it seems she's come close to some sort of panic, that John doesn't even notice as he pins her there, talking to the class.
<Alicia> <Terra> "If I have to. The idea is not to let them hit you anyway, though."

<Chad`Winters> <Dias> There are no superheroes in this world...6He crosses his arms as he rests agaisnt the back wall.
<DeathStar> <John> When your opponent has you pinned with their superior strength against a wall, using a choke hold, it would appear you're in a helpless state. There's several ways, though, you can break this sort of hold, despite your opponent being stronger. Find their weak points - every body has them. Take out their legs, cripple their stance, hit them in the gentials if you must.
* Chad`Winters kneels down beside Aya and stands her up. 1"Can you throw a punch?
<Alicia> <Terra> "Who said anything about that?"
<DeathStar> 6* As he talks, Erevis grabs her throat in a panic, as if she's close to freaking out suddenly. She suddenly just hauls off and punches John in the nose, causing him to drop stunned. She lands on her feet, taking deep breaths.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias just grunts as he watches John get punched in the nose.
<DeathStar> <John> Jesus CHRIST. 6He howls, grabbing his nose as he lays there.
<Alicia> <Terra> "If it comes down to that, I'm... hey, unorthodox, but it works."

<DeathStar> <John> That wasn't what you were suppose to do! 6He drops his hand, blood clearly running down his nostrils. Erevis stands there, then quickly exits the room, walking past everyone. Warren stands up, leaning on his cane with a raised brow
<Arhn> <Myria> What was that about?
<Alicia> <Kyouki> "People get panicked. Erevis, are you alright?"
<Chad`Winters> Huh...Seems Erevis freaked out...Something about what he did...
<Alicia> <Kyouki> *heads after*
<DeathStar> <John> Christ, I think my nose is broken. 6He whines.
<Ariel> Em> *looks worried*
<Alicia> <Hotaru> *heads over* "Maybe you should go to the medbay..."
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis steps into the hallway, stopping only when she's sure she's far enough away from the training room. She controls her breathing slowly.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias stares at Hotaru and John.
<DeathStar> <John> Pfft. No. Goddammit, what is wrong with her. 6He holds back his head, pinching his nose.
<Alicia> <Hotaru> "... something wrong, Dias?"

<Chad`Winters> Hey watch your language John. There's a child present.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren taps his cane, glancing back at the hallway, then at John.
* Chad`Winters glances up as Hotaru speaks, pretending he's not listening

<DeathStar> <Warren> Class is over. 6He says finally, so the room knows to clear if they want to do so.
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> Finally. 6He turns moving out quickly.
<Alicia> <Hotaru> "I don't know." *just looks worried*
<Arhn> <Myria> Something strange is going on...
<DeathStar> 6* Warren walks over to Chad, eyeing the kid.
<DeathStar> <John> Okay, the bleeding stop. 6He snorts only once, spitting into a towel.
* Chad`Winters glances over to Warren, smiling at him. 1"Wow, that was strange. Any idea what that was about?
<Alicia> <Terra> "Strange? What way?"

<DeathStar> 6* Aya waves a hand at Warren, who ignores her.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis turns away and begins to move down the hallway to her own personal room, since Xan hit the curb. Passing a few crew members, she refuses to meet their glance.
* Chad`Winters smiles at Aya, patting her on the head. He looks back up at Warren. 1"What do you want ot talk about?
<Arhn> <Myria> Did you see how she just freaked?
<Alicia> <Terra> "Well, I haven't met her before..."
<DeathStar> <Warren> I'm curious as to your reasons for not accepting your own personal room. The kid barely 5 months old. She can adjust well enough to a new environment just fine.
<Arhn> <Myria> But that was still weird...evne for a stranger...
<DeathStar> 6* John wipes his nose, then turns to glance at Myria, Terra, Hotaru, and Sera. "She's Erevis. You get use to weird with her."
<Chad`Winters> And she's very bright. I spent a day away from Zephyr once and she started balling her eyes out. Brought her to the room, Zephyr was there and she stopped crying.
<Alicia> <Terra> "Probably bad memories.. and yeah."
<DeathStar> <Warren> Then Zephyr can babysit.
<Chad`Winters> Is there something wrong with this current arrangement?
* Seraphna shrugs a bit, wierd is normal

<Alicia> <Hotaru> "I thought she'd at least trust John though..."
* Chad`Winters picks Aya up and stands upright. 1"Because of what I did to her in the past, huh?

<Chad`Winters> 6Dias walks down the hallway, his hands shoved into his pockets.

<DeathStar> <John> She knows I'd send her packing straight to hell if I thought I could get Katrina back.

<Chad`Winters> Well I don't think Aya's ready for that drastic of a change yet. 6He holds her in the air infront of him. "When she's ready, then I'll leave."

<Chad`Winters> You're awfully adamant about this. There's more to this than just what I did to her in the past.
<DeathStar> <Warren> Zephyr isn't a substitute for Eve. 6He notes finally. "Get your own room."
<Alicia> <Terra> "Nice display. It's... like I would've put up... if I was still training."
<DeathStar> <John> I didn't know bartendered trained.

* Chad`Winters pulls Aya down, holding her in the crook of his arm. He looks over at Warren. 1"No on can replace Eve."
<DeathStar> <John> True. I guess that would be a good idea. 6He doesn't seem to notice Myria yet.
<Arhn> * Myria prepares to pounce...
<DeathStar> <Warren> Good. Then get on that right away. And not later. 6He turns to go, prehaps to find Erevis.
<Chad`Winters> I'll go when Aya's ready. Simple as that.
<DeathStar> <John> Anyway, I should probably--- 6He pauses awkwardly, as if sensing danger.
<DeathStar> <Warren> I'm not a patient man, Chad. Don't make my impatient. 6He steps out into the hallway.

<Alicia> <Terra> *watches*
* Chad`Winters looks down at Aya, tickling her stomach. 1"It appears that Warren's hiding something behind his actions. And that can only mean one thing little one..."

<Chad`Winters> Exactly. You wanna goto the garden then? 6He tickles her again.
<DeathStar> 6* John glances slowly over his shoulder.

<DeathStar> 6* John is pounched, hitting the floor with a grunt.

<DeathStar> 6* John stands there as Myria hangs on, then begins to spin quickly.

<Chad`Winters> 6Dias stops and looks at Cheryl. "Guess you're not as good of a teacher as you claimed you were.
<DeathStar> 6* John grins as he spins Myria, apparantly having forgotten the entire bad incident.

<DeathStar> 6* John stands there, then tips over. He points. "I win."
<DeathStar> 6* Dr. Dominick Cross walks into the training room. "I heard there was some sort of incident. See I'm too late." 6He adjusts his glasses ,taking in John, who stares back at him sourly.
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> I could still kick your ass. 6He scratches the back of his head, obviously lacking confidence

<Chad`Winters> <Dias> Apparently not.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis steps into the garden, deciding it's the most quiet place. She takes a seat near the flowers.

* Chad`Winters opens Zephyr's door and steps inside, tossing Aya up and down in his hands.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr steps out of the bedroom, wearing a tank top and shorts, and holding a book in one hand. She glances up. "Back already, you two?"
<Ariel> Em> *makes her way to the garden after the leason. She hesitates, before making her way toward Erevis* "Hey... you okay?"
<Alicia> <Hotaru> "I'll.. leave you two alone." *heads out after Em*
<Chad`Winters> The little one wanted to see ya again. She really loves ya.
* Seraphna smiles to Dom and grins a little, signing, "Free tonight?"
<DeathStar> <Dominick> Maybe. 6He gives Sera a quick smile, then turns his attention to Myria, clearly intent on helping her.
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> Up for a drink?
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis lifts her head. Her thoughts, shielded from prying, makes her difficult to read. "I am better than John no doubt."
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Right. She missed me that much. 6She smiles, clearly glad Aya is back around, though she hides it somewhat. "I thought you two had a day planned out."
<Alicia> <Kyouki> *heads forward a little cautiously* "I was worried too..."
<Ariel> Em> "It's John... I wouldn't be surprised if he forgot you broke his face already. You don't seem to be doing as great, on the other hand."
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Sure, kid. I'll have a drink with you.
<Arhn> <Myria> Ohhhhh...
* Seraphna smiles and listens quietly, mostly watching Dom.
<Chad`Winters> We did, but than John got punched in the nose by Erevis and the majority of it was ended. So I asked her what she wanted to do and she truely enjoyed the thought of seeing you again.
<Alicia> <Hotaru> *looks for John*
<DeathStar> <Dominick> This pill will help your stomach relax. You'll feel good as new. Just take it easy. 6He pats Myria on the shoulder.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr smiles. "Is that right, Aya? And what do you want to do." 6* Aya wiggles.
<Chad`Winters> I think she wants to dance.

<DeathStar> <Erevis> I merely had an unpleasant thought. Nothing more.

<DeathStar> 6* John has gone back to his room, and is changing clothes to find new boots.

<Chad`Winters> 6Dias walks alongside Cheryl, staying atleast a step behind her and to her side. "Birds are having sex with the bee's right now."
<DeathStar> 6* As Dominick promises, the pills makes her feel better, almost instantly.

<Chad`Winters> Hot dogs?
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Is that all you think about? 6She tilts her head at him.

He jabs right at Erevis' throat, aiming to close off her air. Erevis steps to the side, grabbing the wrist, and then twists, gets in close, and elbows John in his throat.

* Chad`Winters steps into a bar, walking over to Erevis. He sits down beside her, not saying a word as he looks over at the selection of booze before them.

<Michiru> "Everything seems so quiet... and yet bustling."
* Ariel has a rather spartan room. Very orderly, with only a couple keepsakes for decorations. She takes a seat, "So what's on your mind?"
<Ariel> Em> "Isn't that a bit of a contradiction?"
<Michiru> "Well.. it's a different sort of quiet."
<Michiru> "Peaceful, rather than empty."
<DeathStar> 6* Warren eyes Ariel. "I don't know how to handle the team. It's mental psyche is breaking."
<Chad`Winters> Good, I'd hate to see you die already. You were holding back, why?
<DeathStar> <Erevis> I think I lost my temper quite well today.
* Ariel nods slowly, "This incident has really people at odds, hasn't it?"
<Chad`Winters> I understand why you did the first time, on his behalf, he didn't know. Which is probably why he was quick to snap back. 6He motions for two beers, then slides one infront of Erevis.
<DeathStar> <Warren> It's been building for months. Even years. 6He glances at her, then motions. "Everyone is affected. This is just an excuse to lash out."
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis ignores the beer for now. "He needs someone to blame. I will suffice for now."
<Ariel> "It's... dangerous, on a ship this far from home."
* Seraphna sighs silently and steps into her engineering bay, walking to the back areas where the crew seldom goes, the glowing eyes of Montana greeting her.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren turns his back on Ariel, eyeing nothing in particular. "We have a job to do."
<Ariel> "But the job doesn't come first, all the time, for everyone."
<Chad`Winters> It's not fair to you, Erevis. You know it, I know it. We all know it. 6He takes a small sip of his beer and sets it down. "And it's obvious you're not willing to die."
<DeathStar> 6* Dr. Dominick knocks on the bay door. "Sorry I'm early. I got done sooner than I expected."
<DeathStar> <Erevis> And what has led you to this conclusion?
<Michiru> "What was going on between Warren and Chad, anyway?"
<Chad`Winters> You fought back. If you wanted to die, you would've let him snap your neck.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren turns to Ariel. "Then what do you propose be done? Stop the shop and have everyone discuss their feelings? No one discusses their feelings. It's easier to say nothing. Hell, Erevis never lies, and she says nothing just as easily as me. And I lie."
<DeathStar> <Erevis> I do not like my neck being touched.
* Seraphna blinks and turns, blushing, she smile softly, the lights coming on in the room, the Beta staying still, unthreatening.
* Seraphna waves a greeting. her voice pipes up out of the beta, "Hello."
<Chad`Winters> That would be an emotional response wouldn't it?
<DeathStar> <Dr. Dominick> Is this a Beta? 6He adjusts his glasses, stepping over to look at it. "Fascinating."
<Seraphna> "Y-Yea... Really? You think so?"
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Or instinctive.
<Seraphna> *The big red Beta looks back, mirroring his inquisitiveness.
<DeathStar> <Dr. Dominick> Of course. Did you build this?
<Ariel> "No... but we all have things weighing on us. People need to learn to deal with them and move on."
<Chad`Winters> Insticts are fueled off emotions. The fight for survival. 6He waves his hand awkwardly. "I'm sorry for what happened to you."

<DeathStar> <Warren> Have you dealt and moved on? 6He turns to look at Ariel.
* Seraphna blushes more, smiling.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> I am not worried about what John did t me.

<DeathStar> 6* Erevis quietly plays her silent card.
* Ariel turns away. "...I'm no saint. We all have our own issues."
<Seraphna> "Th-Thank you..." *she blushes harder, her voice from the beta sounds a little embarrassed* "Montana here is my way of talking through the comm systems."
<Chad`Winters> Bottle it up than, let it fuel that emotion called hatred until it overfills and you hurt someone innocent.
<DeathStar> <Warren> ..... I guess that silence is the way to deal. 6He notes.
<DeathStar> <Dr. Dominick> I was wondering how you did that.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Is this what you believe I will do? 6She snaps, eyeing Chad in anger.

* Seraphna giggles a little

<Seraphna> "It's kinda messy, but I needed some way to directly communicate."

* Seraphna shakes her head, "They did try a few things... the doctors say one day it'll heal up, my Dragoon body is slowly repairing the damage in a much better way."

<Chad`Winters> Not yet. I can't force you to like John, and frankly, I wouldn't try to. But what I can't have is you two at each others throats, especially on an away mission.
<DeathStar> <Warren> Of course. You're in love with a man who loved his job. Zephyr is love with a man who left her for another woman, and now she raises that woman's child. Seraphna lost her fiance, and now has sex with anything that moves. Chad ices and dices those in his way to get back his life. Hotaru makes herself dress like a whore to find inner peace from John's life. Erevis says nothing so no one pities her. And I'm an addict.

<Chad`Winters> Excellent. 6He leans back in his chair, swiveling around to face her. "Stay, keep me company."

* Ariel sighs a little, "Prehaps I'm not the best one to seek for advice in this matter..."

<DeathStar> <Warren> Perhaps not. 6He pulls out his pill bottle, then taps out a pill, throwing it back, shoving the bottle into his vest. "Goodbye, Ariel." 6He turns to go.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> ... I do not know. 6She says finally, grabbing the side of the bar, as if to steady herself a bit.
* Seraphna blushes, "So... dinner?" *she smiles sweetly*

* Chad`Winters grabs the drinks, shifting them slightly. He then hands her one. 1"Well there are deeds, but even those can be hard to decipher.
<Ariel> "Warren... take care of yourself. You've been pushing yourself more than usual lately... it's not good for you."
<Michiru> <Hotaru> "Em, are you alright?"
<DeathStar> <Warren> Silence like a cancer grows, Ariel. I'm already beyond treatment now.
* Seraphna smiles and walks over to him, "Should I freshen up or is greasemonkey a look you can bear me going with?"

* Seraphna smiles, leading him down the halls to her room, opening the door, slipping him, he gets a look at an interestingly neat room, general's daughter after all, everything is in place and in order, except a pile of books on the desk.

* Seraphna slips into her shower, the books are msotly technical manuals, however, there's an odd number of older books, philosphy and histories of ancient empires tend to be the subject matter.

<Chad`Winters> He'll begin to push people away at first. Then, suddenly he'll close himself off completely.

<Chad`Winters> Well, we could always throw one of those pesky interventions, but it won't work in his case...I guess I don't know. I don't want to see him get hurt, or hurt anyone.
<Seraphna> *Many of the books are filled with notes in the columns, anything from Cran's old writings to Serena's newer doodles of machines

<DeathStar> 6* Dr. Dominick drops a book, then kneels there, reaching out under something to get the book, then stands. He hums a tune.
* Chad`Winters pats Erevis on the knee. 1"I hope not...god I hope not."

* Seraphna steps out of the shower, wrapping a towel around herself, "Have a seat if you'd like, i'll just be a few more minutes.

<Seraphna> *Her comms is sitting on the desk. For the audience that doesn't know how she spoke.
* Chad`Winters takes a sip from his drink, then looks over at Erevis. 1"You're not gonna make me drink alone, are you?"
<Seraphna> *She certainly keeps everything neat, she steps out ofthe bathroom, still in her towel, picking out something to wear. "See anything interesting?"
<DeathStar> <Erevis> I do not like the effects alcohol has on me.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren reaches the observation deck, staring out in space.
<DeathStar> <Dr. Dominick> Oh, I'm much more into books relating to the human mind. I'm afraid some of your books are more advanced than my mind.
<Chad`Winters> Last one. I promise. 6He puts his hand against his chest.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis stares at him, then throws it back, making a face.
<Chad`Winters> ...Well you didn't have to drink the entire thing at once...I think that's where the problem lies.

* Seraphna giggles, "Naw, you've got the smarts, I really don't get people most of the time..." *she slips back into the bathroom to get dressed*

* Seraphna steps back out in a very attractive red dress, she walks over to her comms, "I guess I jsut don't see myself as a person all the time." *she clicks it off and tucks it away*

<Michiru> <Terra> *EYES Chad, considering whether to intervene*
* Seraphna blushes more and looks, down, as if not believing it.
* Chad`Winters reaches down resting his one hand against his datapad. "Did you want me?"
<DeathStar> 6* Dominick leads them into the civilian quarter, glancing around. He glances at the bar as they walk by.
* Seraphna follows his gaze curiously
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Yes. I--she...yes. 6She pulls away, putting a hand to her forehead.
<DeathStar> 6* Dominick seems to be watching something intently.
<Chad`Winters> Something wrong? 6He looks at her, a sign of concern.
<DeathStar> <Erevis> I need to go. 6She turns
* Seraphna tries to see what it is.
<Chad`Winters> I'll walk you back to your place. 6He moves to follow.
<Michiru> <Terra> *heads over now*
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis just nods, too disoriented to make sense of things.
* Chad`Winters puts his arm around her to help guide her out of the bar
<DeathStar> <Dominick> It's nothing. 6He turns, pointing at a resturant. "That place looks nice."
<Michiru> <Terra> "Hey."
<Michiru> <Terra> "You're not planning on any 'detours', I hope..."
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis lets Chad guide her out, not even noticing Terra. She seems to be trying to stop a headache.
* Chad`Winters glances back at Erevis and gives her a thumbs up
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis just mimics it
* Seraphna nods in agreement
<DeathStar> 6* Dominick leads her into the resturant, keeping her turned from the bar. He opens the door for her.
* Chad`Winters steps out of the bar with her and begins walking her towards her quarters
* Seraphna blushes and lets him lead again, stepping inside
<Chad`Winters> I hope that this doesn't turn you away from enjoying another drink with me.
* Michiru watches for a while, until sure that nothing untowards is going to happen
<Michiru> NRP: Terra does that
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis just mumbles something as they move on. Dominick gets a seat for them, glancing through his glasses back at the street
