<DeathStar> 6* After the battle with Cassandra, Chii, and Zephyr, and having Adam captured, the group had managed to escape back into the underground but with things on high alert. Unfortunately, everything is on high alert. While people recover from their wounds, Lorelei plays with her red hair, pacing as they work to decyrpt what is on the information they got off the Vatica Base servers, while the last few days John and the others pack up, knowing that Adam will break sooner or later. Chii, who has been brought over, no longer feels Cheryl in the bond, since it is not 'her' Cheryl.

And when we began to bacfk them up and their ... warrior class? The non-blue ones somehow got a doomsday angel looking weapon in desperation, we thought we'd be doomed
<DeathStar> <John> The guy leading then, Rio, somehow was making the blue Erusians work it. And still our ships took it out

<DeathStar> <John> After that, the Erusians threw Rio out and surrendered
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "How? How does he turn the tide of a war overnight?"
<DeathStar> <John> Well, we reached their planet
<DeathStar> <John> And promised to slag it like they did to Earth in places
<DeathStar> <John> I guess they figured it was better to wait their time, especially since Cran had made alliances with the Tsivrixsh and all the other known races.
<DeathStar> <John> They did tell us that we were making a mistake, a darkness was coming, and that we would suffer it one way

<DeathStar> 6* The computer beeps, finished; Em hops down and leans on Hale, moving over
<DeathStar> 6* Isis pats Umi and walks over with the two small ones and Zephyr hugs Chii and goes to join Lorelei

<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei frowns and brings up the person working on it - and it looks like Tabetha
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> How---? Maybe she didn't blow herself up a year ago after all
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> That or it's her mother. Do we know what Tabetha's mother looked like

<DeathStar> <Katrina> It seems likely. They had a Wind too for a time. When did your Wind escape?

<DeathStar> <Katrina> So they had him much longer. The incident leading up to his escape didn't occur with the war I bet.
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei nods and stands up
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> I've seen all I need to. We need to get to Ireland undetected. Also we need to get Isis and the babies back to Asteroid C.
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> How are we going to do that?
<DeathStar> 6* She thinks
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "Not exactly a standard destination in this reality."
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> We need to get to a shuttle - Momma Chii and Zephyr might can bluff officers above ground
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> Lets do that
<DeathStar> 6* She grabs some armor that looks like what Chii had and hands it to her, and does the same for Zephyr. Thankfully not from this reality. At that moment, there's noises from one of the exit doors leading toward the Vatica Base exit lines
<DeathStar> 6* John pauses, tilting his head slowly
<kalonZombe> 6*Hale looks over, then grabs a gun
<DeathStar> 6* He peers back at Chii and Zephyr slowly, the only one left who has an attitude really toward them but has droppedit
<DeathStar> <John> Take that exit there to get back to the surface. 6* He points at a bookcase with a spraypainted ladder above it
<DeathStar> <John> There's a shuttle port 6 blocks ahead and then 2 blocks to the right
<DeathStar> 6* He moves to the clanging noises, as if people are setting up explosives, pulling out his guns and moves to arm the base traps
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "We better get moving."
<Chain> 6*Umi licks Isis's hand
<DeathStar> 6* Katrina nods slowly and heads to the bookcase and pushes on it
<DeathStar> 6* Isis pets her head, grabbing a backpack with explosives and heads to it as the bookcase slides to reveal a passage
<Chain> <Umi><shall I take Isis back then?>
<Jackieness> <Josephine> *readies her gun just in case and moves to the now open bookcase-passage
<kalonZombe> 6*Hale grabs his guns and helps Em get ready as well
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> <Please my love - once we get to the shuttle, you two will take one and the rest of us another - find Taiga's station. For now we will stick together. Only Chii and Zephyr have any hope of us getting us along those streets above without a fight>
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr finishes dressing and hurries down the hallway and Em follows, smiling at Hale as she leans on him.

<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei takes one look back at John as he arms a few proximity explosives and takes up a sniper position
<Chain> 6*Umi pads quietly after them, keeping the little ones safe
<kalonZombe> 6*Hale heads for the shuttle with the others
<Jackieness> <Josephine> *heads through the passage and mutters to herself* "...we need to fix this."
<DeathStar> 6* The passage leads to a ladder. Katrina climbs up it and pushes on the manhole
<DeathStar> 6* There's an explosion of the enemy blowing into the base, then John's proxmity mines going off, taking out 1/3rd of the base, then him firing and arming more
<DeathStar> 6* Katrina looks around the streets and pulls Zephyr up since they need her to be seen
<kalonZombe> 6*Hale puts Em on his back and starts climbing quickly
<Jackieness> <Josephine> *starts heading up*
<DeathStar> 6* Em climbs off once up there and looks around
<DeathStar> 6* Isis climbs and leaps up
<Chain> 6*Umi climbs out
<DeathStar> 6* John sets off the next set, fire blazing and he takes a shot in the chest, 2/3rds. Storm troops pouring in and Cheryl moving through the flames
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Find them!
<DeathStar> 6* John reaches out for the final explosive and Cheryl's eyes narrow and she dives back the way she came as he hits it and her entire squadron explodes.
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei closes her eyes for John, Chii, and Mem who bravely stayed behind to buy them time
<DeathStar> 6* Katrina stumbles forward in pain, gripping her sides
<Chain> 6*Umi whines as she moves to protect Isis and Lore
<Nyaomi> 6Chii uses Doton to collapse the building on Cheryl's side, stepping back to retreat with Mem making a face, still not recovered
<DeathStar> <Isis> Kat? <Katrina> M-Mem... <Isis> Is she? <Katrina> I don't know... <Lorelei> Mom....
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "We need to keep moving."
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr yanks Katrina to her feet and Lorelei stands up, using her red hair to hide her face as they walk along
<DeathStar> 6* A few troops see them and move to intercept and ask for ID, but eye Zephyr looking pissed off and furious and back away in fear - a sign of Zephyr's reputation
<kalonZombe> 6*Hale supports Em the whole way
<DeathStar> <Em> ... *She looks at Hale sadly, then peers at the store frotns and how everytring is closed down for the day despite it being 7. There are humans and Erusians both in alleys, hiding from the patrols of military men, standing around barrels for warmth*
<kalonZombe> <Hale> <We'll fix this. We have to...>
<DeathStar> 6* As they move along the streets, a huge patrol of soldiers head their way and one of them is led by Delano. Zephyr jerks and looksa round, spotting Myria's Fix It shop and moves over to the door, trying to jury rig it open
<DeathStar> 6* She finally opts to just shoot it, forming her gun
<kalonZombe> 6*Hale stops her, then moves over
<DeathStar> 6* Isis moves with Umi and Lorelei scoots over
<kalonZombe> <Hale> Teenage delenquent, remember?
<kalonZombe> 6*Hale starts trying to jury rig it open
<DeathStar> 6* Delano gets closer, all Del like.
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "Just hurry it up..."
<DeathStar> 6* He's Deling you. Hale opens it
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "In. Now."
<kalonZombe> 6*Hale slides in
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> <IF we could only take Delano out. He's going to be a powerful asset to Cheryl>

<DeathStar> 6* Katrina stumbles in, still dazed. Zephyr guides her in

<DeathStar> 6* Isis pulls Umi in with her and closes the door after Em enters

<DeathStar> 6* Delano's patrol marches by, heading over the manhole they used. Chii and Mem, who are banged up and burnt, would hear the footsteps
<AquaKoala> *Kay follows inside, having totally been there the whole time

<Nyaomi> <Mem> Bitch." 6She gestures to the footsteps, motioning to move to the end in preparationg ot move.
<DeathStar> 6* He would have been blown up in the base explosion and needs to crawl out, to where Mem and Chii are arguing

<DeathStar> 6* The lights come on in the store and someone who looks like Myria comes down the stairs to eye them -= her store has all sorts of weird objects, too
<Jackieness> <Myria> *points a gun at them* "I don't like burglars."
<DeathStar> <Katrina> .... Myr...ia? 6* She asks slowly, though there's no way Myria can recognize her as no Katrina exists in this reality
<AquaKoala> *Kay starts to crawl out, grumbling
<Nyaomi> 6Mem and Chii ninja trot along behind patrols as they pass

<DeathStar> 6* Kay would hear Mem and Chii exiting up a ladder atthe end of the tunnel

<AquaKoala> *Kay attempts to catch up, wounded heavily

<DeathStar> 6* Delano's patrol continues onward, all Giblin like

<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Come building inspectors. Leave a few bucks on the counter

<kalonZombe> 6*Hale does so, nodding and moving along, then blinks
<DeathStar> 6* Em pauses and does so. Slidingaround Myria slowly with her hands up

<DeathStar> 6* Isis steps through, hugging the kids and Em follows into the alley, and Zephyr adjusts the map again. Lorelei nods and walks back onto the main street now that Delano's patrol is past and he might recognize them

<DeathStar> 6* Unless Mem and Chii yank Kay into MYria's store they will be found

<DeathStar> 6* Katrina leans on Mem, still wincing in pain herself as they are dropped off. Isis gives Umi the babies back
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Hm, you look a bit banged up. *she eyes Chii and her armor and face* It might work if we say we were in a fight and need to get this group somewhere. *She drags Chii up to the men, making the group follow*\

<DeathStar> 6* And begins to open up the space port and holds out two keys.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr snatches them and walks in

<DeathStar> 6* She moves inside and a light is g lowing down over two shuttles. Lorelei is let go finally and takes a deep breath as they stop at the shuttles
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> ... *she looks at Umi, smiling softly* You be safe, okay?

<Chain> <Umi><thats a promise, I'll see you soon?
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei returns the kiss

As soon as they reach a certain point they can see out of the tunnel and they see Black Mesa; the base sits on the bottom of the ocean, a massive complex and the color is all black. The elevator slides along the tube into it and the doors chime, Cran's voice, automated, welcoming to the research complex
