Racial Abilities

  • Body Regeneration
Lv. 1 An Atlean can regrow minor appendiges over time, such as fingers and toes. Energy Used: 30
Lv. 2 An Atlean can regrow most appendiges over time, such as entire legs or arms. This cannot regrow any sensory abilities except touch. Energy Used: 60
Lv. 3 An Atlean can regrow most organs and sensory abilities. This includes eyes and sight, tongue and taste, nose and smell, ears and hearing, as well as most internal organs such as livers, kindeys, and lungs. This does not include the heart and brain. Disadvantage: Regrowing these take far more time than other regeneration abilities. They also eat at your life. Regrowing them takes literal years off your life. Energy Used: 90
Lv. 4 An Atlean can recover from the brink of death itself. He can regenerate his heart or brain, provided they were not instant-kill shots. Disadvantage: Every time this happens, it takes 20% off of their life. It is also not guaranteed to fix all of the damage right away. There could potentially be severe brain damage for years afterwards, for example. Energy Used: 150

Racial Skills

  • Mor'Kah Clan
Lv. 1 A Mor'kah focuses his spirit to heal minor cuts and bruises. Spirit Used: 100
Lv. 2 A Mor'kah focuses his spirit to heal broken bones and other large pains. Spirit Used: 200 - 400
Lv. 3 A Mor'kah focuses his spirit to rid the patient of diseases, viruses, and harmful bacteria. This can also remove poisons and other such harmful substances. Disadvantage: This leaves him momentarially stunned, and it gives him a large headache. Also causes minor nosebleeds. Spirit Used: 200 - 500
Lv. 4 A Mor'kah focuses his spirit to reattach or regrow lost limbs. He can even sometimes reverse death... at a hefty toll. Disadvantage: This leaves him unconscious for an unspecified amount of time. It draws off his own life force as well, the more he has to work with, the less it costs. Reversing death is especially risky and costs 20% of his own life, minimum, no matter how much he has to work with. He cannot reverse death of someone who has died of old age. Spirit Used: (Limb Attach - 400. Regrow - 600. Death Reverse - 1500)

Talents

  • Cooking
Tier 1 Your food provides a small healing bonus over time. +20 Health restored, helps with pain, etc. (Health Stat restores. Same to below ones)
Tier 2 Your food provides a small healing bonus immediately. +20 health restored
Tier 3 Your food takes less time to prepare. Disadvantage: There is a possibility that your food will not heal.
Tier 4 You can make food out of emergency supplies capable of healing. Disadvantage: There is a possibility the food is completely inedible and cannot be kept down, no matter how hearty the person eating it is.
Tier 5 Your food provides a large healing bonus, either over time or immediately, your choice. +60 health restored Disadvantage: Unless you have time to meticuously prepare it (at least three hours or more), the food has a large chance of either being a placebo effect (they feel better when nothing has happened), shoots through them (within five minutes they have to go to the bathroom), or cannot be kept
Bonus Tier 1 Your food imparts a strength bonus for a short amount of time. +40 strength temporarily Disadvantage: After the bonus is done, your strength is sapped for an equal amount of time.
Bonus Tier 2 Your food is so delicious, it causes minor epiphinies. Your mind score is increased for a short time. +40 mind temporarily Disadvantage: The path of enlightenment is a slippery one. After the bonus is done, you get an equal penalty for an equal amount of time.

    Medical Datapad Master
Tier 1 Medical Datapads just simply work faster in your hands.
Tier 2 You know your way around a medical datapad so well that you can find whatever app or function you want faster.
Tier 3 Your Medical Datapad gives you more information in your hands, allowing you to find things such as obscure cures or rare diseases more easily. Disadvantage: You must say you are using this tier, and you do not gain the benefits of Tiers 1 or 2 while using this function.
Tier 4 Any datapad you hold can be used as a medical datapad. Disadvantage: Due to the lack of specialization, you cannot use any of the previous tiers with this. In certain cases, it works even slower.
Tier 5 You can use Tiers 1 and 2 while using Tier 3. Disadvantage: Due to the speed you are trying to extract the information you are gathering, you do not get entirely reliable data. The methods you use may be experimental at best, placebos on average, or, in dire cases of bad luck, hurt your paitent's recovery even worse. Use at your own risk.
Bonus Tier 1 Medical Datapads have a longer battery life as long as you hold them. Disadvantage: If you push this too far, you could ruin the battery, rendering the datapad entirely useless. This does not apply with datapads while using Tier 4.
Bonus Tier 2 You can choose to have a Medical Datapads take up no inventory space on your person. Disadvantage: If you choose to do this, a medical datapad is more prone to breaking.

    Bedside Manners
Tier 1 Patients are more likely to follow your orders, but not guaranteed to do so.
Tier 2 Patients are guaranteed follow your orders, but they may still second guess your diagnosis.
Tier 3 Patients will always trust your diagnosis, but may still distrust your methods of curing it. Disadvantage: If they find an alternate cure and you do not follow through on going along with it, they may spread bad reviews of you.
Tier 4 Your patients are less likely to search for alternate methods of cure, but nothing, not even bonus tiers, will ever eliminate it forever. People are just too stubborn. Disadvantage: If you do not go through an alternate cure they insist on doing, they WILL spread bad reviews about you. No if's about it.
Tier 5 You are so trustworthy and likable that once every 5 sessions (or once every two weeks, real life time, in minis) that you can convince someone what you're saying is the absolute best cure, and they won't even question it and look up alternate methods of curing it. Disadvantage: If you use this, within that five session or two week span that you cannot reuse it, someone WILL demand
Bonus Tier 1 If you find yourself a patient, you can negate tiers 4 and 5 of this against a fellow doctor using Bedside Manners against you. Disadvantage: They are looking out for you after all. Your alternate method of healing is twice as likely not to work.
Bonus Tier 2 Your bedside manner disadvantages are lessened against members of the same species as you. Disadvantage: On the flipside, one race has the disadvantages heightened. This depends on your race and the GM.

    Houseian Levels of Deduction
Tier 1 You can diagnose common ailments at a glance.
Tier 2 You can diagnose uncommon basic ailments at a glance.
Tier 3 ou can diagnose ailments that you have heard other people talking about. Disadvantage: If you diagnose in this manner, you run the possibility of misdiagnosis, especially if the doctor accidentally gives you the wrong information or you don't hear it all.
Tier 4 You can diagnose some more complicated ailments without a datapad after careful consideration of the symptoms. You can never diagnose these ailments at a simple glance, not even in bonus tiers. Disadvantage: This takes time. A lot of time, in some cases. Sometimes even a whole epis- I mean, hours or days. There is the possibility of misdiagnosis. Not all complicated ailments can be diagnosed in this manner.
Tier 5 ou can diagnose complicated ailments a bit faster. Disadvantage: If you choose to do this, the possibility of misdiagnosis increases.
Bonus Tier 1 You can diagnose someone by another sense. Sometimes you can "sniff out" an ailment. Disadvantage: The possibilty of middiagnosis GREATLY increases with this.
Bonus Tier 2 There is a chance you immidately know the cure to the ailment. This is up to the GM and he will autotell you what will cure it. Disadvantage: If he does, you cannot use Housian Levels of Deduction for a number of sessions (or real life days, if in minis) as determined by the GM.

Abilities

  • Combat Medic
Lv. 1 Your ability to heal in the heat of battle improves. Small improvement to healing stats Energy Used: 30
Lv. 2 You can keep your calm in combat situations better, causing you to focus more on healing.
Lv. 3 Your focus intensifies. You can be getting shot at and you'll never break your stride. Disadvantage: You're still getting shot at, doofus! You take double damage if you increase it this much and get hit. Energy Used: 30
Lv. 4 Your ability to heal in the heat of battle is unmatched, and you can heal twice as well and even faster than before in the heat of battle. Disadvantage: You'll tire twice as fast if you heal this fast. You could possibly even collapse in the middle of battle, which is, by all accounts, very very bad. Energy Used: 50

Your Beliefs:

Your Instinct:

Heal first, hide second, ask questions later.

Relatives:

Your Background:

Ethan is an Atlean from the Mor'kah clan, and has been interested in nothing more than becoming a doctor since before he can remember. His parents alwyas encouraged this, and even went to extreme measures to ensure their son got the best education possible to realize his dreams. In respect, he always studied hard to ensure their hopes for him came true, often delving himself into books for hours at a time, sometimes even forgetting to eat as he studied. As such, he became somewhat shy and introspective.

Their efforts paid off, however, since Ethan graduated top of his class in nearly everything he attended, was valedictorian for both High School and College, and even got enough grants to cover most of the cost of college.

After med school, Ethan considered several different choices as to which hosiptal he wanted to apply for, but ultimately chose the one aboard the PAX. There were several reasons, but the main one was it was an easy way to see the universe while doing the thing he loved. He's spent the last several weeks there, hoping his application will get accepted.

Ethan is very nervous, but starts to warm up when he knows somebody long enough. However, if the person in front of him is a paitent, the nervousness is torn away, becoming an almost completely different person.
