Background

Sia was born and raised in Matias, Sia lived a relatively quiet life of the privledge that being a merchant's daighter can bring her. Studying alongside her mother in the basic practices of a midwife, Sia was very content to live a life destined for a simple job, helping to birth and raise young ones. Sharing an avid interest in learning alongside her twin sister, Mia, the two sought knowledge in books. At first acquiring such texts through gifts granted by their father's coin, they quickly came to exhaust the supply of books readily available outside Church control.

Due to the more lax attitudes of the kingdom of Matias, they were able to access the libraries, and while Sia read up on herbology and other such fascinating, safe subjects, Mia delved into darker things. She took interest in the old legends, of monsters and beasts, she took parables on evil people killed by the church and wondered what they were onto. Unable to get into the less accessible areas of the libraries, those held tight by the church, Mia became discontented, she looked out into the world for people with knowledge to teach her. Sia gained a love of life, where Mia began to see prophecy and darkness, learning that there were powers in the world beyond the gods, such as Demons, she sought to understand it more. Soon Mia vanished from Sia's life, spiriting herself away somewhere, only to be seen years later, with new knowledge gained to her from a mentor whom she wouldn't disclose, but she could perform 'magic' that one should never touch. On the downside, she had undergone a terrible transformation, she had become a demon.

Mia was eventually found out, captured by the church, Sia never saw her sister again after that day. Sia would be haunted for years by nightmares of her twin sister, crying out for help for vengance, for her twin to see the truth she had so desperately sought. It was one day, in her 17th year on life, that she found one of Mia's prized possessions, a book on Demonology, on the dangerous and terrible knowledge Mia had gained. It was on that day she began a secret study, all the while holding onto her own ideals. Whatever her sister found, she would come to understand, but she would see the world different. She would not fall into darkness like her beloved twin.

It was one morning when she heard her father discussing plans for a marriage with the Bishop of Matias, Sia, unable to handle keeping up her attempts to be the good daughter without her other half, ran away. Taking her sister's book of Demonic Arts, her dagger, and pilfering some supplies, she managed to get aboard a ship setting sail for Sinai. It was here that she met Jean Al'ryl and fell into the service of the Angel. Her journey led her quickly to the answer to her questions, she found out that Mia was dead, at the hands of Zeal Silas, who slew her back when she was a Templar, thinking her only another demon. Sia's quest changed, resolving to follow the Angel feeling she had nothing left, she forsook the book that brought about her twin's death and became a mage.

Over time, Sia and Anne together discovered that Mia could be brought back using the Angel's powers, which they have recently done, however, it was not without a cost. Sia's life force was placed into the magik, and as a result, Sia's lifespan has been shortened. She also now shares her life force with her twin, giving them a double edged connection to one another previously unknown, even by twins. Sia has also discovered a baby Lizard Queen and started to raise it as though it were her own child, naming it Kaji. She has recently entered a relationship with her bodyguard, Charles, and fostered the young cat-child named Haru.
