<Sera> * Angela blinks and grabs the comm. "Mmm, yes?"
01<DeathStar> <Alexander> They have begun to move out; we need to get into position
<Sera> * Angela nods, she kisses Lemon. "We'll see each other again soon, Lem, I'll fill you in." *she gets up, grabbing her tact suit* "I'll be rady shortly."
<Sera> * Mac pauses in the play, picking Aya up. "We have a mission, little one."
01<DeathStar> 6* Lemon blinks and nods. Aya rides Mac about, blinking when he begins to head off
01<DeathStar> <Aya> Where?
<Sera> * Angela finishes getting dressed and smiles, kissing Lemon's neck and holstering her gear. Stepping out, Mac carries Aya over to her.
<Sera> Angela> "We're... going to go join the others sweetie... but there's something we have to talk about as we go. I need your help."

<Sera> * Angela takes her from Mac. She begins to head out. "The others aren't going to understand about me taking care of you sweetie... so for now, I need to you not let them know I'm your momma now, okay?"
01<DeathStar> <Aya> B-But...
<Sera> * Angela kisses her cheek. "I'm not saying I'm not your momma or anything dear, but if they hear you say it, I might get hurt. For now it'll be our little secret, okay?"

<Sera> * Angela hugs her close. "The story is you were kidnapped by bad men and I saved you. I know you can do this sweetie, I believe in my little girl."

<Sera> * Angela smiles. Moving out to the shuttles. "Aunt Cheryl is going to take you in, and then after she does, she'll have me move in with you two and I can take care of you."

<Sera> * Angela smiles, sending loving thoughts to Lemon as she does. "If anyone asks you questions you don't understand or can't think of what to say on, just cry or give them the shy act, kay dear?"

<Sera> * Angela grins, getting into the shuttle, tapping her comms. "Any idea who we're going to meet yet, bro?"

01<DeathStar> <Alexander> Xanatos' group is the dumbest; perhaps that one
<Sera> Angela> "Mmm, that's a man who blew up a hospital because he thought he was saving Katrina, not so sure I want him to blow me up to save Aya. Though they are the least attached."
01<DeathStar> <Alexander> The other has Warren; he's too observant. The other is Cheryl. It would look suspicious if she was the rescuer
<Sera> * Angela nods a bit, "Mmm, good points, we'll surprise Team Xanatos then, I can at least 'guilt' him and Erevis for accusing me."
01<DeathStar> <Alexander> We have a shuttle that looks like the enemy's. We'll have it arrive at the base with soldiers dressed as the enemy; once they start making a racket, the men with you wil ldo the rest - you will take them down and then rescue Aya after they implant the info they've had her
<Sera> * Angela nods. "And I'm to tell them... I was captured and escaped? Came back for her?" *she hugs Aya close*

<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos glances to Erevis. 1Don't go stealing her. Kat wouldn't like that.

01<@DeathStar> 6* The base begins to come into sight up ahead; Xanatos needs to get in the left lane to make the turn off

<Sera> * 69 gets in the left lane if Xan isn't man enough to drive!

01<@DeathStar> 6* They get onto a quieter street and approach the building; a large fence is around it with only one gate. A guard booth is beside it, the guard looking relaxed with a magaziner

01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis shifts Chii onto the seat by her and puts a cute cowboy hat of Xan's on her head to hide the ears
<Kit> <Chii> ..." 6She peers up at the hat. Then quickdraws a pair of guns, twirling them on her fingers.
<Xanatos> <Xanatos> Put those away. Weapons will cause them to get suspicious. 6He doesn't say anything about the fact there are 4 of them in the truck.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis shifts to hide in the back of the truck as they get near - like the original plan
<Sera> * 69 drives up, stopping for the usual check in.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos brings Chii with him as well.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The guard gets out and moves up. "ID."
<Sera> * 69 pulls out his ID.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis shifts and gets her tactical suit in place; it's form fitting. She bends over, making sure it's all in place
01<@DeathStar> 6* The guard eyes it, then begins to move as if to check the abck of the truck
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos peers at her with a slow tilt of the head.
<Sera> * 69 looks to Xanatoes.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Xanatos is hiding in the back and can't be seen easily. It's up to 69 to do something!
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis shifts her butt side to side as she gets comfortable, pulling her long hair up easily into a ponytail; thankfully it only goes to her butt since not everyone in the Alt reality is competing with her
<Kit> 6Chii's is still shoulder length with ends upturned, hoho.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The guard begins to reach the back
<Sera> * 69 taps the back of the coach to warn thsoe in the back.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis pauses and tilts her head.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos pauses and motions for them to hide behind boxes.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos shifts to try and do that as well.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The guard begins to grab the truck door and opens it as Erevis crouches behind the boxes. He shines his light inside
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos pulls Chii with him of course.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The guard closes it and moves up to the front and opens the gates; at that moment Erevis' nose begins to wrinkle like she has to sneeze
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos pauses. 1Crap. 6He hisses in a whispers and shifts to slide over and cover her nose.
<Sera> * 69 reves up the engine and starts driving them on through.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis blinks as her nose is covered, and her sneez seems to stop; she smiles and kisses him on the lips afterwards. 69 is directed toward a warehouse who's doors are opened up
<Sera> * 69 starts driving that way.
<Kit> 6Chii stares at the two, then hands Xanatos his sidearm back and shifts to slip 69's back into the holster.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos smiles and winks, holstering the pistol.
<Kit> <Chii> Kat wouldn't let me take my weapons.
<Sera> 69> "We're entering a warehouse."
<Kit> <Chii> I see that...
<Sera> * 69 scritches her ear.
<Xanatos> <Xanatos> We're going to need to be quick about this. We want to find what information we can, see if we can find the girl and then get out.
<Kit> <Chii> The girl..? Aya?
<Xanatos> <Xanatos> Yes.
01<@DeathStar> 6* As they're parked, men approach the truck to begin unloading it
<Sera> 69> "We should find out if she's here first, the target may or may not be in this location, if I remember my briefing."
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos shifts up into the front now.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis moves and keeps low to hide in the front, her face between Xanatos' legs ironically
<Kit> <Chii> I'll get her. Just leave it up to me.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The men pass and open the back
<Kit> 6Chii shifts forward quickly with her hands flat and shoves her fingertips into either man's throat.
<Sera> 69> "Right, how do we do this...?" *he pauses* "...Oh jeez."
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos peers down and wiggles his brow at Erevis then pauses and glances back at Chii, letting out a sigh.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The men jerk as the fingers go for the throats
<Kit> <Chii> Go to sleep.
<Kit> <Chii> Onegai.
01<@DeathStar> 6* They fall over. Erevis tilts her head and walks over, stripping one man
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos shrugs to 69 and gets out to move to the back, glancing around to check for other men and or cameras.
<Kit> <Chii> I think she's here. I'll go find Aya.
<Xanatos> <Xanatos> Take Soldier and stay soft as long as possible.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis begins to put the clothes on herself, which are a little big, and puts his hat on
<Kit> <Chii> ...Or I can go alone and stay "soft" the whole way..
01<@DeathStar> <Erevis> I can feel emotions and thoughts
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos reaches out, holding out an earpiece. 1Keep in touch then.
<Sera> Soldier> "..." *moves to join Chii, as Xan's in charge*
<Sera> Soldier> "...So am I with you or Chii, boss?"

<Sera> * Soldier nods, he starts pulling out parts to a gun on various parts of his body.
<Kit> <Chii> What's this thing?" 6She shakes the earpiece, tapping on it
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos jerks and grabs his ear. 1Put it in your ear. 6He hisses.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis waits to see if chii wil let her go with her
<Kit> 6Chii makes a face and tries, hissing as it makes electronic noise in her ear
<Kit> 6Chii leans on Erevis and beats her with her hand. 1"M-Make it stooop."
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis shifts and pulls it out, putting it in her own. "There; now I will go with her. Xanatos, if you need me, simply use this, or if you cannot speak, use your emotions. I have formed a mental link with you."
<Sera> * Soldier eyes the women.
01<@DeathStar> <Erevis> Chad Winters said it would be necessary to make sure you were not with another woman
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos blinks. 1I...oka...okay. Be..be safe. ANd quiet.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis nods, then motions Chii to lead, leaving Xanatos with Soldier
<Kit> <Chii> ..." 6She nods, scurrying ahead and keeping oddly silent despite her speed
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos glances to Soldier and nods. 1Keep quiet and let's move. 6He turns to go the opposite direction of Erevis and Chii.
01<@DeathStar> 6* As Xanatos and Soldier exit the building, the main complex is in the center, with another warehouse nearby. The complex doors have guards in front of them
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos motions to the guard on the left and pulls up his pistol, shifting to put it in a silenced mode. 6He peers out quickly for cameras.
01<@DeathStar> 6* There is indeed cameras at the edge of the main complex building sides, and one over the door - and over the guards
<Sera> * Soldier moves his own weapon into silenced mode and waits for Xan's signal, focusing on the guard on the left.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos hmms. 1Won't be quiet for long. 6He breathes out.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos gives the signal and fires for the guard on the right.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The guard on the right jerks and falls over.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos pauses and slowly looks at Soldier, then reaims and fires for the one on the left.
<Sera> * Soldier fires for the guard on the left.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The one on the left, eyeing his comrade, begins to touch his ear when he's shot and falls over
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos moves foward and begins to take shots for each of the cameras to take them out as well. 1We've got about 30 seconds of quiet. Let's try and take advantage of it. 6He shifts to move throught he door, aiming as he advances forward.
<Sera> * Soldier follows after him.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Meanwhile, Chii and Erevis hop out a vent inside the base, peering about.
01<@DeathStar> 6* They would find the door locked with a key card
01<@DeathStar> *The first team
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos pauses and kneels to check over the guards, searching for a keycard.
01<@DeathStar> 6* They each have one
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos takes one of each and hmms as he checks to see if they're different.
<Kit> 6Chii closes her eyes, standing still for a moment. Then starts sniffing about.
<Sera> * Soldier keeps watch like a good NPC.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Chii would smell no Aya
01<@DeathStar> 6* They're the same
<Kit> <Chii> ... I was sure, but I don't feel or smell her..." 6She sulks visibly.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos pockets one and uses the other to open the door, moving through once it opens with his pistol raised.
01<@DeathStar> <Erevis> Perhaps they have her in a room that does not leak smell?
01<@DeathStar> 6* As he enters, guards gathering in the hall begin to fire; there's three of them, all ducking low
<Kit> <Chii> She would have come through here at some point.
<Sera> * Soldier ducks back behind the door and readies his rifle, firing around it at the guards.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos slides back and pulls out a flash grenade, popping off the clip and waiting a second before tossing it inward toward the guards.

01<@DeathStar> 6* The guards make noises as the flash goes off, firing blindly from location memory
<Sera> * Soldier slips back behind the door.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos ducks low and tiwsts around to fire shots out, taking three shots for each guard.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The guards fall as Xanatos shoots them. Suddenly an enemy shuttle lands behind the building and more soldiers get off, flooding into the back of the base, probably reinforcements
<Xanatos> <Xanatos> Well fuck. Think you can handle all them? 6He glances to Soldier.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Chii would get a whiff of Aya
<Sera> Soldier> "...We raised that much of an alert already? I think we're screwed boss. But I'll try."
<Kit> <Chii> Wait...
01<@DeathStar> <Erevis> Yes?
<Kit> 6Chii turns, closing her eyes and sniffing.
<Xanatos> <Xanatos> No we didn't do that. 6He shifts around the door and moves down the hallway, keeping his pistol ready.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The smell is coming from the back rooms of the base
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos taps his ear. 1Careful. This feels like a trap.
01<@DeathStar> 6* One of the guards that is bleeding waits for Xanatos to pass, then does a Splinter Cell moment and rises, having been playing dead, and aims at Xanatos, firing
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis touches her ear. "Chii Cub has smelt Aya Winters."
<Sera> * Soledier turns and fires for the fake guard.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos makes a noise and falls back, pulling up his arm in the way as he returns fire.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The guard is shot and falls down dead; he even tried to select Xan for an auto-hit
01<@DeathStar> 6* The shots do not damage Xanatos' fake arm
<Sera> Soldier> "You alright boss?"
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos swears a few times and shakes his arm, eyeing it before tapping his ear. 1Alright. BE careful. 6He gives soldier a thumbs up and turns to move on.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The base rocks with an explosion from inside the building and alarms go off like mad. Some soldiers rush past Xanatos and the soldier, heading for the back rooms
<Sera> * Soldier raises a brow. "What the hell...?"
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos pauses and aims, then pauses again. 1Who the hell do you work for?!
01<@DeathStar> 6* The soldiers jerk as Xanatos aims and begin to fire at him; all four
<Sera> * Soldier groans and fires at the soldiers attacking Xanatos.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos makes a noise and dives.
01<@DeathStar> 6* One soldier barks out the enemy is coming in at all sides and to alert the other VI bases
<Sera> Soldier> "We are?"
01<@DeathStar> 6* The soldier hits one who falls; the other three back u pdown the hallway, firing. They begin to get neat Chii who is sniffing; Erevis patiently waits for a direction
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos leans up on his side and fire a few shots for at least two of their legs, trying to thin them out.
<Sera> * Soldier starts firing at another one.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Xanatos drops one and the soldier gets the other. The last gets around a L shaped corner and runs
<Kit> <Chii> Y-Yeah..." 6She peers at Erevis.
<Sera> Soldier> "Should we evac or keep going sir?"
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos sits up. 1What the hell just happened? Did we attack friendlies?
<Sera> Soldier> "I don't know, someone else pissed off at VI?"
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos gets to his feet and moves for the one his downed, he aims as he advances, switching to stun and aiming for the shooting arm.
01<@DeathStar> <Erevis> Lead the way. 6* A soldier runs up, aiming at them. Erevis turns and his hand breaks and he screams
<Sera> * Soldier moves after Xan.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The one that was shot crawls, shouting into his radio that the EarthGov army is here
<Kit> 6Chii glances at the soldier, then nods, quickly walking along the trail
01<@DeathStar> 6* As Erevis and Chii move, they arrive in an area with more soldiers firing into a room, their backs to Chii and Erevis
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos shift to kick the radio out of his hand and any weapons near him as well, then kneels and grabs the soldier. 1What the fuck is going on here?
<Kit> 6Chii moves forward on reflex and speeds in to strike with her elbow for the back of the head on one, moving in practiced movements to go from one to one
<Sera> * Soldier moves over, holding his gun aimed down at the man's head, in case he tries something.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Chii takes them out expertly; Erevis peers inside the room. Troops are on the ground, injured, and standing there is Angela Bennet, her hair a mess, wearing an outfit they put on lab patients; Aya clings to her leg, wearing the same outfit, but cleaner. Angela holds a gun that matches one of the VI troops, probably stolen
01<@DeathStar> 6* The soldier eyes Xanatos. "You attacked our base! We'll get revenge on you; we radioed our other bases and we'll capture your famous General Cheryl and make new Dragoons to replace our stolen Weapons!"
<Kit> <Chii> ...Who're you? Give me Aya." 6She frowns, still looking a bit devoid of emotion.
01<@DeathStar> <Erevis> ... That is Angela Bennet. Why are you here? 6* She asks. Aya eyes Chii and runs over, grabbing her and holding on. <Aya> Chii!
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis peers down at Aya, a strange look, then at Angela
<Sera> * Angela peers at them with wild looking eyes, she holds the gun, shaking, "S-Same reason as Aya... captured..."
<Kit> <Chii> Hello, Aya..." 6She eyes her, patting her head, then looks at Angela.
01<@DeathStar> <Erevis> Why would they capture you?
<Xanatos> <Xanatos> We didn't cause that explosion. What's going on?
01<@DeathStar> <Soldier> I don't know! Something happened in one of our labs...
<Sera> * Angela looks at Chii, shaking, "They... they're trying to make some sort of Dragoons... they took me as a test subject..."
01<@DeathStar> <Soldier> Your people probably attacked it!
01<@DeathStar> <Erevis> Why you? 6* She tilts her head, confused
<Xanatos> <Xanatos> My people eh? 6He pats the guys face. 1You should change your ways. This VI nonsense will get you killed.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Aya holds Chii tightly, her eyes happy to see her. <Aya> Are you back to stay with us, Chii? I missed you!
<Kit> 6Chii dashes forward suddenly, her body language giving no warning and aims to strike Angela's wrist and grab the gun away.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The soldier pauses, eyeing Xanatos, not sure how to respond. Aya falls over as Chii dashes and lands on her face, peering up and begins to cry. <Aya> Don't hurt her! She protected me!
01<@DeathStar> 6 *Erevis taps her comm. "We found Aya Winters, Xanatos - and Angela Bennet. She says they captured her as well."
<Sera> * Angela lets her smack the gun away, but moves to pick up Aya.
<Kit> <Chii> I don't plan to... she's not attacking me." 6She does make a face, shifting between her and Aya.
<Kit> <Chii> ...Waving guns around ... is dangerous..." 6she murmurs, repeating Katrina's words to her.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Aya grabs Chii's back and holds on, crying. <Aya> Please don't hurt her, Chii. She was shooting the bad people to save us!"
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos pauses and stands up. 1I'm serious. 6He tells the guard, then turns to move to find a comm so they can get some information.
<Sera> * Angela shakes a bit. "A-Are we safe now? Can you get Aya out?"
<Kit> <Chii> I just said I wasn't..." 6She frowns, looking at Aya and looks aside, wondering if she looks dangerous to her
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevis eyes terminals in the lab. "There are many computers here. She says thgey wanted to make Dragoons and took her, but has not told me why they would take her to do that."
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos taps his ear. 1Get back tot he truck. I'll let the other know. 6He pulls up his comm and sends a message out to Cheryl and Warren so tehy can abort.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Aya doesn't smell afraid of Chii - or of anything, really.
<Sera> Angela> "I did tell you."
01<@DeathStar> 6* Xanatos would find the comm jammed. Suddenly soldiers bust into the lab, firing at Chii, Angela, and Erevis.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos swivels on his foot to go towards the labs now.
<Sera> Angela> "I can be genetically grafted with Dragoon DNA, they wanted to study that."
<Sera> * Angela leaps, grabbing both Chii and Aya, acting as a shield, she carries them both out of the way of fire.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Xanatos would hear gunshots on the comm and Erevis cry in pain, then nothing
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos widens his eyes at that then breaks into a run.
<Kit> 6Chii blinks at Angela, frowning slightly, but moving with Aya's interest in mind
01<@DeathStar> 6* Erevids falls over as she is shot. The shooter aims at Angela, shooting her in the back as she carries them
<Sera> * Angela cries out and falls over, whimpering in pain.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The soldier advances, firing still; Xanatos arrives in the room
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos aim his pistol and fires out for the back fo the man's leg to make him fall and hopefully make his aim go high.

<Sera> * Angela picks up them both when healed and runs for it. The soldier does the heroic thing, streaming the data to Xan as it goes. Probably planning to not make it out.

01<@DeathStar> 6* It steadies out. Erevis opens her eyes fully, then peers back at Chii; she unstraps and moves over, touching her and uses her hyperspace to stop the bleeding - it hurts but it works

<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos lets out a noise of annoyance and punches the side of the shuttle. 1Damnit! 6He clicks his comm trying to peg Cheryl and Warren. 1This is Xanatos, come in.

01<@DeathStar> 6* Warren glances at Marcus. "I wanted to speak with you on something now that the others aren't here."
<Xanatos> 6* Marcus glances to Warren, arching a brow.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Warren speaks. "I think when Cheryl was taken something happened - or Jonas did something to her. Lately Cheryl's been acting different, calmer, steadier - she's not even been drinking. I don't have cameras in her room..." 6* His tone indicates he will rectify this. "But I have this - I spliced them for you to get the over all picture."
<Kit> <Megumi> Hee hee! Hee!!" 6She scrambles on fours avoiding Zephyr
<Xanatos> 6* Marcus looks to see what he has.
01<@DeathStar> 6* He taps a button and one of the monitors shows Cheryl working on cracking the encoding from the base they rescued her from. Jonas walks in and there's no sound, but he hands her a strange beverage; she makes an annoyed face and throws it back, and goes back to work as he does it twice more and it's clear that it's actually made her drunk. The two move out of view

Then I read his files more

01<@DeathStar> 6* Jonas was a pilot to a Dragoon that died by Angela's hands in the brief Dragoon War. Dragoon V (will recall the name in a bit). The files indicated they had a higher synch ratio than most others - that was due to them being lovers. It was---a situation where the military looked the other way since some believed sex between a pilot and dragoon made them synch higher
