<DeathStar> Date: A month before joining Darien's Special Cool Awesome Unit
<DeathStar> Location: Tokyo, Japan
<DeathStar> 6* Cassandra and Setsuna, the married couple, who's lost their adopted daughter for a year now and has no doubt sought ways to spread the pain to criminals, is on a unique case on the outskirts of Tokyo in the woods, hunting what appears to be some sort of demon that feeds on young school girls in school uniforms. And thus, Setsuna has been dressed up as one; the demon is said to come out when there's no sign of threats... The two currently find themselves at the woods (Cassandra can decide if she's in a similiar outfit, or plans to hide and watch), waiting to begin their mission
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *is currently hiding out in electro-optical camoflauge*
<DeathStar> 6* Now all it takes is Setsuna to make some sort of school girl noise to get the monster's attention
<Kit> <Setsuna> ..." 6She looks conflicted at being alone in this, then shrugs, peering around.
<DeathStar> 6* It looks innocent so far. Suddenly there's rustling in the bushes.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *stays in hiding*
<DeathStar> 6* Suddenly something jumps out and bumps into Setsuna!
<Kit> <Setsuna> Kyaaa!?" 6She coils back, pulling her arms close in fright
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *ponders, thinking that shriek was too convincing*
<DeathStar> 6* Setsuna is face to face---with Sammael in a high school outfit!?
<DeathStar> 6* The two have never met before
<Kit> <Setsuna> ..." 6She grabs Sammael and tries to toss her into other bushes so as not to ruin the op.
<Seraphna> * Sammael squeaks and yelps as she goes flying into the bushes. "Ahhh!"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *rubs the bridge of her nose*
<DeathStar> 6* Suddenly something grabs Sammael in the bushes and drags her off.
<Seraphna> * Sammael screeches. "H-Help!"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *pulls her guns and moves after Sammael, calling up Setsuna via internal comm* "Setsuna, its on the move. It got the other girl."
<Kit> <Setsuna> Oh snap.
<Kit> 6Setsuna leaps into the bushes to pursue.
<DeathStar> 6* A big demon drags Sammael along quickly through the woods, faster than it's pursuers. They soon find themselves in an open meadow with no sign of it; there's only a single tree, a large rock, and a small stream
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Damn, she's gone." *moves to examine the tree*
<DeathStar> 6* It looks like a normal tree. As she walks along, some dirt has been shifted near the rock like something was dragged
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Hmmmm..." *moves over to examine the rock*
<DeathStar> 6* It's a solid rock, heavy too - for a human maybe.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Shinto exorcists once bound demons to rocks and trees..." *tries to roll the rock, strength drives on overdrive*
<DeathStar> 6* The rock bends and below is a hole big enough for the demon. Symbols on the rock have been decayed over the centuries

<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Setsuna, I'm taking point." *jumps down into the hole*
<DeathStar> 6* She lands in what appears to be an old, descerated Japanese shrine, all the holy symbols destroyed and trashed. There's sounds of Sammael trying to talk to someone - and it doens't sound like the demon, and she's tied to an altar of stone, spread eagle
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *approaches under stealth mode*
<Seraphna> Sammael> "...no... definately... not..."
<DeathStar> 6* Cassandra manages to reach Sammael with no problems
<Kit> 6Setsuna squints downward, then leaps after Cassandra
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *pauses and listens in*
<DeathStar> 6* Cassandra wouldn't hear any responses to Sammael
<Seraphna> Sammael> "I think... so... there was some other girl there. Japanese. And for some reason I was sure there was another...really getting nervous in this position..."
<Kit> <Setsuna> Why? It feels really good.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *holds still, waiting for the demon to return... then Setsuna speaks*
<Seraphna> * Sammael blinsk. "Someone's... hello? C-Can you get me out of this before he comes back?"
<Kit> <Setsuna> ..." 6She eyes Cassandra, holding up a hand and mouthing sorry
<DeathStar> 6* Suddenly there's a demon roar and a female giggling
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *readies her gun and waits for the demon to come into view*
<DeathStar> 6* It comes again - behind Cass and Sets
<Seraphna> Sammael> "P-Please help!"
<Kit> <Setsuna> ... I get that sinking feeling..
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Untie the girl." *turns, raising her gun toward the demon and firing*
<DeathStar> 6* The demon is shot in the face, it's head snapping; it looks like some demon you'd see out of an anime, with it's mouth and sharp teeth, white hair that's long, and pale body. A woman in a priestess kimono like outfit is near the exit, watching with a twisted pale smile, her long black hair all down to her feet and in her face
<DeathStar> 6* The demon roars and charges at Cassandra; nearby on the ground is an old fashion camera that when you use it produces a photo that shows the image over a few moments
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *turns, spinkicking at the side of the demon's head as it nears*
<Seraphna> * Sammael squirms in her bonds.
<DeathStar> 6* The demon, perhaps surprised at being kicked and the strength, stumbles. At that moment, a figure lands behind the woman who fades away. Darien throws out a vial toward Cassandra. "Hit it with this!"
<Kit> 6Setsuna watches in awe, swooning over Cassandra, then sighs, moving to free Sammael reluctantly.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *catches the vial and then tries smashing the vial into the demon's face*
<Seraphna> * Sammael wriggles more and pouts. "Th-Thanks." *she says as she's untied, though half wondering why it's reluctant*
<DeathStar> 6* The demon grabs it's face, smoke rising and it thrashes; with the women gone it seeks weaker now and crashes about. Darien slides a big book toward Cassandra. "You can read Japanese; page 110 is a banishing spell."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *rolls to grabs up the book, flips to page 110, and recites that which is written!*
<Seraphna> * Sammael sits up and pauses to fix her skirt and panties.
<DeathStar> 6* The demon advances on Cassandra as she does, intent to stop her before she can finish, reaching with it's long, clawed hands.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *raises a foot, and then kicks out at the center of its body while she continues to read*
<DeathStar> 6* The demon is kicked back, and as Cassandra finishes, it melts away into smoke, the area shaking and beginning to collapse. Darien calls Sam to his side and begins to climb back up quickly
<Seraphna> Sammael> *she rushes over and climbs up after him*
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Setsuna, up, now!"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *grabs Setsuna and heads back out of the cave*
<Kit> <Setsuna> R-
<DeathStar> 6* As they all reach the surface, the descrated shrine below breaks apart; Darien takes a few breaths, then smiles at Cassandra. "It's been some time, Arakawa." 6 *He notes in greeting, there to recruit her for his new team
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "The answer is no." *flips her hair back*
<Seraphna> * Sammael stands a little behind him, shyly, she seems like she can't be much older then the legal limit, still quite an attractive, dark haired girl.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien pauses, then frowns. "I didn't even say why I was here yet." 6 *He notes.
<Seraphna> * Sammael looks at Cassandra and Setsuna now that she has a moment.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "You mysteriously appear at a convenient time? You want something." *passes the book back to Darien*
<DeathStar> <Darien> May I ask why 'no'?
<DeathStar> 6* He hands it to Sammael
<Seraphna> * Sammael holds it to her chest like a typical school girl.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "The last time we had this song and dance, I developed chronic migraines and trouble sleeping."
<Kit> <Setsuna> She's not your toy~
<DeathStar> <Darien> If I recall, that was from running your own unit; you and Setsuna met each other under my unit if you recall and it wasn't that bad. I didn't even allow Dias on my team - well, when he was alive
<Seraphna> * Sammael rocks on her heels a little, listening quietly.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Ok, ok, I'll grant you that. However, you have to do me a favor first."
<DeathStar> <Darien> Let me guess; you want to get the kimono woman spirit that got away?
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "For a start."
<DeathStar> <Darien> And the rest?
<Kit> <Setsuna> ...
<Seraphna> * Sammael fixes her hair, looking between them.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "We'll see if there is a rest."
<Kit> <Setsuna> Oh Cass." 6She swoons.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "You cna stop the schoolgirl act, Setsuna."
<DeathStar> <Darien> Fair enough; I'll meet you at your mansion when I have more informatioon
<DeathStar> -TIME JUMP 1 day later, a stormy afternoon -
<DeathStar> 6* Lightning crackles about the Arakawa residence and it's almost like night. Some of Billy's dolls - knives in their faces - lay about where she last left them. Rain pelts the shutters. Darien and Sammael will be arriving any moment
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> * is in a kimono in the reception room*
<DeathStar> 6* There's a knock on the door
<Kit> <Setsuna> Were the knives there before?
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Maybe. Its Billy. Anyway, please answer the door."
<Kit> <Setsuna> ..." 6She sighs a little, then peers through the door. 1"Who is it?"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *sets out the tea and teaset in the meantime*
<DeathStar> 6* A figure stands there. "Your principal; have you been behaving?" 6* A voice says to Setsuna; it carries to CAssandra and she would recognize it from somewhere
<Kit> <Setsuna> Never." 6She smiles.
<DeathStar> *The figure sighs* I assumed as much
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "...what the?" *sets down the teaset and moves to the entry way*
<Kit> <Setsuna> Heh heheh. Can we help you?
<DeathStar> 6* Cedarton peers at Cassandra and Setsuna as Cass comes into view. "Are you going to invite me in? Such poor manners. Do I need to teach you how to greet guests?"
<DeathStar> 6* At that moment Darien and Sammael arrive behind Cedarton; Darien seems unaware who he is
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "You were not invited."
<Seraphna> * Sammael peers around, wearing something more practical today, a knee length skirt, a white blouse and vest that matches the skirt. Her long hair down.
<DeathStar> <Cedarton> Such rudeness. And here I came with information.
<DeathStar> 6* Cedarton adjusts his glasses, showing pointed teeth a brief moment, then turns to go. "Very well. Try not to continue to do such immoral things."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *sighs* "I apologize. I had a small event planned and your timing was coincidentally overlapped my schedule. Would you like soem tea to make amends?"
<Kit> <Setsuna> Should I let him in?
<DeathStar> <Cedarton> That is very kind. 6* He steps in, shaking off his wet cloak and hanging it up. Darien and Sammael step in after him and Darien glances at Cass
<DeathStar> <Darien> You know him?
<DeathStar> 6* Cedarton moves to help himself to a seat
<Seraphna> * Sammael peers over, a little oblivious to who Cedarton is, she bows politely though, remembering she's in Japan.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *makes a hand gesture to imply 'not now'
<Kit> 6Setsuna pauses, having not let, but shrugs, closing the door.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *moves back to the reception room*
<DeathStar> 6* Cedarton sits, waiting to be served tea. Darien takes a seat, eyeing the knived dolls; he looks unsure what to do about their plans when Cedarton speaks. "I know where you plan to go; you should think twice."
<Seraphna> * Sammael sits by Darien, she looks at Cedarton with interest.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Excuse me, sensei?" *pours a cup and sets it before Cedarton*
<DeathStar> 6* Darien looks at Cedarton as he takes some of the sea, all polite and Japanese. "The young man there has tracked your spirit - a wayward priestess from a Japanese village that was engulfed during a ritual that failed to hold back evil. Any who enter the village gates - never return. I would advise going into the village. <Darien> How do you---? <Cedarton> Manners.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "It must be dealt with."
<DeathStar> <Cedarton> IF you insist on going in, I should warn you; some things must happen. 6 *He finishes his tea and rises, bowing his head politely. "Remember to do your homework." 6 *He turns and leaves.
<DeathStar> <Darien> .... Well...as he said, I found information about a haunted village in the mountains. It seems one can enter at night, but no one has come back from it. I got a van full of equipment if you two are ready.
<Kit> <Setsuna> He's so weiiiird
<Seraphna> * Sammael watches him go slowly. Then looks back. "Is he like a schoolteacher or something?"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "More or less. And hold off. What he said is do our homework."
<DeathStar> <Darien> I assumed that was a snarky thing; you think he meant to do homework?
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Research."
<Seraphna> * Sammael holds up a datapad. "All the stories, new clippings, seismographic, mapping, commerical and public record data from the village."
<DeathStar> <Darien> Here's the best we can tell
<DeathStar> 6* He prepares a speech
<DeathStar> <Darien> There was some sort of cult that lived there that sacrificed people to appease "X". They would never write his name down. Some say it was twins they killed, due to the twin deity statues at the front of the village gates. One day the entire village vanished over night and if any enter at night past the gates, they vanish. Some claim the town relieves it's final night over and over and over.
<Seraphna> * Sammael looks a little chilled. "Creepiest data farming I've done ever."
<DeathStar> <Darien> The final incident occured in the early 1900s on what I can tell.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Are you having any second thoughts?
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "These ghosts are loose on the countryside now. Needs to be dealt with." *pours a cup of tea, setting it before Darien*
<Kit> <Setsuna> Are we becoming mikos, Cass?
<DeathStar> 6* Darien takes it, nodding his thanks. "Should I look into hiring any priestesses?"
<Seraphna> * Sammael looks between the two girls again. She blinks and takes that down as a note. "Maybe Miss Freyja when she gets back?"
<Seraphna> Sammael> "Err... or for this trip? I can get numbers."
<DeathStar> <Darien> They may not be back for months
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "neithe rof us are actually maidens, Setsuna..."
<DeathStar> <Darien> I was thinking of calling a supposed priestess that runs Udon
<Seraphna> * Sammael nods, she pulls up the number for him. "I can connect you now if you wanted."
<Kit> <Setsuna> So?" 6She looks innocent.
<Kit> <Setsuna> Runs udon? Runs soup?" 6She blinks.
<DeathStar> <Darien> We only have a few hours before dark and with this storm going on. 6* Hel ooks at Setsuna. "Kitsune Udon was the name. They apparantly specialize in this."
<Kit> 6Setsuna blinks a few times.
<Seraphna> Sammael> "Wonder if they have those cute fox tails too." *she muses*
<DeathStar> 6* Darien holds out the datapad to make the call
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "How often does the village appear?"
<DeathStar> <Darien> Not often or long.
<Seraphna> * Sammael looks amused and punches in the datapad address to connect him.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Alright."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien puts it on speaker for them all
<chain> 6*Miyuki lazily answers the data pad* 1<Miyuki> Moshi Mosh Kitsune Udon, Vengence seekers and spiritual bashers
<Seraphna> * Sammael finds that adorable.
<DeathStar> <Darien> We have a case where we could use some spiritual priestess with Japanese knowledge. 6* He describes the village situation.
<Kit> <Kasha> And foxy sleuths!
<DeathStar> <Darien> You will be well comepensated; I work for the government.
<chain> <Miyuki> You do realize that because of the nature of this case and the hour you're calling at will be very....expensive
<DeathStar> <Darien> I'm Darien Starr. 6* He's a famous EarthGov General and billionare.
<chain> <Miyuki>..........and?
<DeathStar> <Darien> I can cover any bill. We'll come pick you up in within the hour.
<Kit> <Kasha> Oneesama, that guy's rich!
<chain> <Miyuki> Alright we'll be there in a few
<DeathStar> 6* Darien hands Sam the datapad, not turning it off. He finishes the tea, and looks at Cassandra. "Do you need any equipment?"
<chain> <Miyuki> We bring our own
<DeathStar> 6* Darien blinks at the comm, then nods once, more to himself. He gets up and heads for the shuttle since they're coming there
<Seraphna> * Sam takes it and puts it away, in her cleavage, and sits back a little comforterably, then blinks. "Oh! I-I've never introduced myself. I'm Samantha Hendricks, I work as Darien's personal assistant!"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Have a nuke?"
<Seraphna> * She then gets up to follow Darien, bowwing to Cassandra and Setsuna.
<DeathStar> <Darien> OH yes, Cassandra, you might want to outfit your eyes to do different spectral scans. And no, no nukes; you already got Mega City nuked once a few months ago
<chain> 6*Miyuki shuts the comm off and stands up in their well furnished apartment
<chain> <Miyuki> You know what this means Kasha
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "IT was an emergency." *goes to get herself ready*
<Kit> <Kasha> We'll be rich!
<DeathStar> 6* Darien checks over his various guns - labeled by what they do - Ghost Gun, Demon Gun, Fox Gun, Slutty Dragon gun
<chain> <Miyuki> We'll go on a date the night after we recover from this! now grab everything and lets go
<Kit> <Kasha> Aye-aye! Oneesama!
<Seraphna> * Sammael looks over the guns. "...Slutty Dragon?"
<DeathStar> <Darien> It happens
<DeathStar> -TIME JUMP-
<DeathStar> 6* Darien stands in his shuttle, the van parked in the back of it, peering at Miyuki and Kasha who have just arrived; the thunder storm ahs grown worse outside
<DeathStar> <Darien> You two are the experts?
<DeathStar> 6* He studies them. "You look like something out of a 20th century anime."
<Seraphna> Sammael> "They look cute!"
<DeathStar> <Darien> Mmmrmmm...
<DeathStar> 6* Darien moves to the shuttle controls, rubbing his forehead, glancing at Cassandra as saying 'you may be worth this to get on my team, but I will remember this'
<Seraphna> * Sammael, owner of pet foxes, and possibly soon cute twins, moves over to sit in the copilot's seat.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Heh, this will be nothing."
<chain> <Miyuki> Hey we can leave you know
<DeathStar> <Darien> No, no; your holonet stats gave you 5 stars
<DeathStar> 6* Darien begins to fly them,
<chain> 6*Miyuki crosses her arms, clearly the more serious of the two, wearing a skin tight black longsleeve top, and pleated monotoned tartan skirt, black tights and kneehigh boots, her ears and tail bristled
<Seraphna> Sammael> "So are you two actual Kitsune or are those costumes?"
<chain> 6*Miyuki's tail tickles Sammael*
<DeathStar> <Darien> It looks like Chii and Freyja aren't alone out there.
<Seraphna> * Sammael giggles a little and squirms, she reaches out, stroking the tail, she seems to know just how to stroke a fox tail.
<DeathStar> 6* He flies them along over heavily wooded areas, finally landing, and then gets in the van, lowering the shuttle ramp; once all are on he drives them out, the rain pouring down on the windshield and the lights barely giving any sight in the night storm
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Storm's unnatural."
<Kit> 6Kasha leans back with her hands behind her head, snoring-- short, crescendoing violet hair, wearing a frilly tank top, but jeans with numerous holes.
<chain> 6*Miyuki reaches into the bag they brought and clicks something that can only be described as a utility belt out of a comic book around her waist and holsters under her arms
<DeathStar> 6* Darien curses a bit as he drives, trying to keep them on the muddy mountain roads
<DeathStar> 6* Suddenly, up ahead, a 15 year old girl in a white kimono stands in front of them, hands raised in terror as they drive right at her.
<chain> <Miyuki> Shit don't hit her!
<Seraphna> * Sammael rests in the passenger seat, she blinks and sits up. "D-Darien!"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Oh, how classic. The ghost girl who lures people off the road to their crashing deaths. At least, it could be.."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien jerks the wheel to avoid and they begin to carverine down the side of a slope, the van rolling
<Seraphna> * Sammael cries out in fright and holds onto her seat, thankfully the good girl type that buckles up.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien bounces about in his seat, hitting his head on the wheel as the van tumbles past two statues that look like women; the storm finally stops almost too suddenly as the van comes to a stop, on it's side.

<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "...everyone alright? And what did I say about the classic ghost girl trick?"
<chain> 6*Miyuki rubs at where she was bashed on the ride down
<chain> <Miyuki> You should have breaked instead of veering

<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "The roads are mud."
<DeathStar> 6* darien kicks open the door and check on Sammael as he gets himself free.
<Seraphna> * Sammael grumbles and shakes her head, gaining her senses back. "Darien...?"
<chain> <Miyuki> And the government can't afford good enough tires? 6*Miyuki turns to check on Kasha*
<Kit> 6Kasha groans, having bounced around like a ping pong ball-- bad about seat belts. Luckily she's a demon
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *with her cyborg body, barely even felt that; she pulls open one of the passenger doors*
<chain> <Miyuki>....Dummy you should have buckled up
<DeathStar> 6* Darien helps her out, then helps Setsuna out while Cass free herself.
<DeathStar> 6* He eyes the statues; on the other side, since they're in the village side, a storm rages on
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "...we're inside the village boundaries."
<Seraphna> * Sammael grabs a medical kit, she checks his head over.
<chain> 6*Miyuki crawls out and surveys the area
<DeathStar> <Darien> Which means we're not getting out. 6* He pulls out his datapad, which is dead.
<DeathStar> 6* They appear to be on a hill; down below is a s mall village with many buildings. Near them is a strange stone circule with what appears to be a ritual slab in the middle for something
<chain> <Miyuki> Figures theres no marking stone for the village and why we never saw any on the path
<Seraphna> Sammael> "I think the girl was a ghost luring us in this way..."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "No, really?!"
<chain> <Miyuki> Most likely which is why we never trust anyone in all white
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "White is the color of a death shroud."
<chain> <Miyuki> You'd think people would remember that, but they think of the more western idea of purity
<Seraphna> * Sammael looks down. "I-I'm new to ghost busting... sorry..."
<chain> 6*Miyuki peers back waiting for Kasha to get out
<Kit> 6Kasha wiggles out a window, mumbling
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Japan is full of these spirits."
<chain> <Miyuki> Well, don't worry too much, first and foremost is making sure its actually ghosts we're dealing with and not yokai
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "I'd expect both, actually."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien muses, seeing what equipment works; anything that connects to the outside world is offline
<chain> 6*Miyuki stalks over to the ritual slab, her heels clicking as she goes
<DeathStar> 6* It seems like some sort of ritual occurs here, but not the big one; there's just not enough evidence. Perhaps it's a spot they gather to cleanse before the big one?
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Some of the ghosts probably went mad or outright became yokai themselves."
<chain> 6*Miyuki crouches down to look for a water source or anything that might suggest it was used for that
<DeathStar> 6* There is no sign; there's a path going to the left toward a graveyard and one to the right that leads to the village itself
<Seraphna> * Sammael clutches her medical supplies, without the net, her hacking powers are depleted!
<DeathStar> <Darien> So where's the source of it? This entire place gives me a bad vibe.
<chain> <Miyuki> Yokai are clever and can pretend to be ghosts, many people think they can just dabble in this stuff like a hobby. Ghosts are relatively harmless compaired to them
<chain> <Miyuki> Looks like we can either go to the village or the burial grounds..I recommend we DO NOT split up
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Remember, the basis of Shinto is that everything is embodies a spirit, even the rocks."
<Kit> <Kasha> Hey! She's pretty bright, oneesama.
<Seraphna> Sammael> *shifts closer to Darien and peers around*
<chain> <Miyuki> True but I'm certain we're dealing with an off shoot shinto or cult

<Seraphna> * Sammael blinks. "Is that bad?"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "I don't think that is a good thing, no."
<Seraphna> Sammael> "A Crimson Butterfly..."
<chain> <Miyuki> We're stuck in a village, no way to connect to the outside? and a butterfly which aren't nocternal is leading us to a possibly haunted/cursed villge....
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "The butterflies are probably spirits themselves."
<chain> <Miyuki> I think that we are stuck with going against good judgement and have to follow it
<Kit> 6Setsuna eyes the butterfly, enamored for a moment.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Setsuna, focus, ninja girl."
<DeathStar> 6* Darien studies Setsuna, then speaks softly to Cass. "We should keep an eye on her; we don't know what effects it might have on her here."
<chain> 6*Miyuki looks at where the butterfly is leading and looks at the steps below, testing them
<DeathStar> 6* They look steady enough, just old.
<Seraphna> Sammael> "Should we be following it?"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *nods*
<DeathStar> 6* Darien checks his weapons, then puts a hand on Sam's back, leading her down the path toward the village.
<chain> <Miyuki> well lets get going but again, no splitting up
<Kit> 6Setsuna shakes her head, then eyes Darien. 1"What do you mean?"
<Seraphna> * Sammael walks as he directs, reassured by her fearless leader.
<chain> <Miyuki> But One thing is first
<DeathStar> <Darien> Well, even though you negate psionics, you are technically psionic based; ghosts might latch onto you
<chain> 6*Miyuki reaches into one of the many pouches and retieves a wrapped parcel and places it down at the entrance to the village and lights a stick of incence
<DeathStar> 6* Darien peers at the parcel. "What's that for?"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Hmmm..." *walks along* "...there was a time that I didn't believe all this stuff. Then I started running into vampires and succubi."
<chain> <Miyuki> An offering, may as well not piss off more things by being rude
<Kit> <Setsuna> Creepy...
<chain> 6*Miyuki stands up and heads out first down the steps, withdrawing a collapsible thin stick that she occassionally taps things with
<Seraphna> Sammael> "In the past few months I've met Dragoons, Kitsune, Catgirls, and Goddesses... I'll believe in just about anything now."
<DeathStar> 6* After leaving the one area and heading into the village proper, they see it's a very 1900ish village, sliding doors, nothing modern about; thre's a path to the left and right, the right heading to what appears to be a storage building and a fenced off area with a fence that can be open and the left further into the village. As they look left, they see a see through transparent image of a woman moving and then fading away
<Kit> <Kasha> This is like one of those Hallow's Eve fun houses!
<Seraphna> * Sammael squeaks and hugs onto Darien.
<DeathStar> <Darien> ... this place is a hotbed alright
<chain> <Miyuki> alright another split...which way do we go
<DeathStar> 6* A butterfly floats about Kasha's head
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Early 20th century.. I'd say late Meiji to pre-World War II."

<chain> 6*Miyuki turns to Kasha and blinks at the butterfly looking a little worried
<DeathStar> 6* It lands on Kasha's right ear
<DeathStar> <Darien> Perhaps we should follow the ghost woman; or ... maybe go the oppsoite way.
<Seraphna> Sammael> "Both seem worrisome."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "What do you reember about your research into this place?"
<DeathStar> <Darien> Well, like I said, they believed in twin sacrifices to stop 'X'
<DeathStar> <Darien> But no one knows where the rituals occurred.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Some of these buildings may have clues. 6* He looks to the left, then points at two buildings connected with a cross bridge in the air, looking like twin buildings
<Seraphna> Sammael> Maybe in some creepy basement?
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "I see it. The symbolism fits."
<chain> <Miyuki> Do you recall the name of the forest we were in by chance?
<DeathStar> 6* Darien pulls out the map and points to it
<DeathStar> <Darien> My Japanese is rusty; you can read it better

<DeathStar> <Darien> ...
<DeathStar> 6* Darien grimaces, then pockets it, heading for the twin buildings slowly
<DeathStar> 6* At that moment, Kasha is MIA!
<chain> <Miyuki> Damnit, not this soon
<DeathStar> 6* Darien pauses, peering back; a crimson butterfly flies about and into left twin building
<chain> 6*Miyuki looks torn between running back the way they came or to press on
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "It got one of them..."
<chain> <Miyuki> Looks like we're playing by the rules of this place...we better hurry and follow after it
<DeathStar> 6* Darien nods and walks toward the building, tirpping over the same camera that was in the shrine earlier - the Camera Obscura
<chain> 6*Miyuki regards the old camera and lifts it up
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Wait a minute... I sw that camera before."
<chain> <Miyuki> The camera that can see to the other side
<DeathStar> 6* It has about 40 things of old film. Darien saquints at it, leaning against the left twin building door when it jerks open and he falls inside
<chain> 6*Miyuki coughs hard from the dust that filters out
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Are you alright, darien?"
<DeathStar> 6* No response; a creepy, child like laughter comes out, almost like a doll in how it's so...mechanical
<chain> 6*Miyuki's ears perk and twitch and takes care as she steps inside
<Seraphna> * Sammael moves over, calling out. "Darien? Can you hear us!?"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *moves inside the building*
<DeathStar> 6* AS she enters the creepy old building, she would see dolls everywhere - hanging by threats, sitting on shelves, laying about, pieces of heads, arms, legs, all strown about. There's no sign of Darien and before them are two girls looking about 10 at most, long black hair in their faces, wearing blueish kimonos. They begin to giggle and laugh, one's head spinning like a doll, the other acting more human. They fade away and suddenly reappear on either side of the group - but which is which? They begin to approach, arms stretched out
