<DeathStar> Location: Shuttle over the Chinese State.
<DeathStar> 6* With an hour before bidding begins inside the monestary, Cassandra, Setsuna, and Robb are in a private shuttle under Cassandra's alternate identity as White. With the secret passages Darien pointed out, which are in the above text, the team has to try to find the vial or weapon before it's unleashed - or destroy the monestary to seal it if it is. They also need to see if it's a Dark Hybrid weapon from when VI had captured Billy, since the organization has ties to them.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien talks quietly on the comm. "You're about at the landing site; you all ready?"
<kalonZombie> <Robb> As I'll ever be.
<Seraphna> Setsuna> *stretches and adjusts her top* Bored!
<Seraphna> Sammael> *sits by Darien, working quietly*
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Lady White is always ready for business."
<DeathStar> <Darien on comm> All the funds are in the suitcase in the off event you have to bid for the weapon
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "OH good, a stack of cash."
<kalonZombie> <Robb> It isn't ours, Sets.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "We can make love upon the pile of the suitcases contents later, Setsuna."
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "Holding you to that."
<kalonZombie> <Robb> ...God dammit being single sucks.
<DeathStar> 6* They fly over the ancient chinese monestary and below they can see vehicles with mounted anti-air weapons, and chain guns, stragetically placed all over
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "No watchies."
<kalonZombie> <Robb> I know I know. Just sayin'.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien speaks on the comm. "Sammael just found a little something out about the monestary that might be of interest - apparantly it was a place one of the 4 chinese deities was worshipped. It was said to be their place."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "My, they certainly have the sky covered."
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "Think it's pissed off with all these criminals moved in?"
<Seraphna> Sammael> "Sounds like a reason to put the girls on call."
<DeathStar> <Darien on comm> I'll kep that in mind; for now, we focus on what's at hand. Robb, land the shuttle
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb gives a "yes sir" and moves to land the shuttle
<Seraphna> * Setsuna sighs and fixes her hair. "Well let's do this Ms. White."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "With style."
<DeathStar> 6* As they land, the Triad, since this is their territory, approach, all dressed in black with sunglasses on. They hold their automatic weapons in hand and wait for them to come out of the shuttle
<DeathStar> 6* There appears to be 10 of them; one of the vehicle's mounted guns are aimed their way too
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb walks out first, typical bodyguard style, then nods to Lady White
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *rises from her seat and disembarks from the shuttle*
<Seraphna> * Setsuna shifts to walk along with Cassandra, adjusting a pair of cute secretary glasses.
<DeathStar> 6* One of the Triad speaks in the old Chinese dialects. "Welcome, Lady White. Please follow us." 6* The Triads move so some are in front and some will be behind them
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb waits until Cass starts walking, and walks at her side
<Seraphna> * Setsuna walks along calmly. Sticking close to Lady White.
<DeathStar> 6* They are escorted to the monestary doors which look to be old and have strange symbols on them; Darien using the camera in CAssandra's eyes takes as still image and runs a data search on it while he resumes monitoring. They are lead through the doors and the air feels colder here, unnatural. Wrong perhaps
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *moves along after the Triad*
<Seraphna> * Setsuna frowns just a little as she moves along, Sammael motions Darien to their vitals, showing indications of the temperature drop.
<DeathStar> 6* The Triads walk along the first level of the monestary and lead them into a side room - it's been emptied out of what was once there and comforts and chairs are set up. The Triad man speaks. "You will wait here until the time of the bidding. We will have guards outside the room so no one disturbs you." 6* In other words, other bidding parties killing them. the Triads step out and close the large stone doors behind them. Symbols and images of a chinese god are all over the walls. Of the 4, which one could it be?
<kalonZombie> <Robb> Okay, so... now what?
<Seraphna> * Sammael runs a check on the symbols as well.
<Seraphna> * Setsuna frowns. "We wait for the bidding, I guess."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Sit down and enjoy yourself." *takes a seat*
<Seraphna> * Setsuna sits in Cassandra's lap.
<DeathStar> <Darien on comm> Does that room match one of the rooms with the secret passages?
<Seraphna> * Setsuna looks around trying to determine that.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *takes a glance around the room so Darien can see*
<Seraphna> Sammael> *comms* "Careful what you say, the room is probably bugged all over."
<DeathStar> <Darien on comm> You're in luck; that is the room with the passage down to the secon floor; if you can then get to floor three you can find the passage to the fifth and last floor
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "I guess I could do something about that little problem."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *internal comm* "It may also be best to see the bidding and grab some faces scans as well."
<DeathStar> <Darien on comm> The decision call is yours; if you go the bidding you'll be surrounded by the enemy and if you lose it, getting the material will be harder.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *internal comm* "Point taken. We'll make our move before this goes defcon."
<Seraphna> * Setsuna peers at Cassandra.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *raises a hand and gestures toward the wall with two fingers*
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb nods and moves over to inspect it
<Seraphna> * Setsuna lets Robb the jumpy inspect it and test it for traps, slinking up slowly as she does.
<DeathStar> 6* The location of the passage, according to the map they read, is on the right side; the wall material here looks differnet like it was bricked over
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *rises from her chair*
<kalonZombie> <Robb> Over there?
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *presses a finger to her lips*
<Seraphna> * Setsuna nods, peering about for anything that might move, hoping the wall isn't actually sealed permenantly.
<DeathStar> 6* It was bricked together sturdly, but could be easily knocked down or cut through if one is clever enough
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb gives a look of "Ideas?"
<Seraphna> * Setsuna makes a motion with her hands, to indicate breaking or making wall fall down.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *moves over to the wall and gives a push*
<DeathStar> 6* Cassandra's cyborg strength knocks it in with a thump sound
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb winces and hopes nobody heard that
<DeathStar> 6* Before them is an old passage, dusty with age
<Seraphna> * Setsuna sneaks in, checking for traps.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *raies both hands and then gestures toward the passage.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb pulls out a pistol and goes down first, slowly
<DeathStar> 6* Setsuna finds it clear of traps except for a motion detector beam - there's only one and it can be stepped over
<Seraphna> * Setsuna motions to show the others the beam and slips over it carefully.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb would step over it as well
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *moves into the passage, stepping over the motion beam*
<DeathStar> 6* They soon reach stairs that go down
<DeathStar> 6* At the bottom is an open passage and a Triad guard with his back to them, standing there with a machine gun that fires bullets over energy blasts
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *gestures to Setsuna to perform a silent ninja takedown*
<Seraphna> * Setsuna nods and slips over, moving stealthfully behind him and swiftly grabs at his head, attempting a quick, silent neck break. Ninja style.
<DeathStar> 6* The Triad falls; his partner, moving about the room, pauses and walks toward them suspiciously
<Seraphna> * Setsuna quickly drags him back to the passageway.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *gestores at Setsuna to use a throwing blade, pointing at the throat*
<Seraphna> * Setsuna, ever the obedient waifu, tosses a kunai for his throat.
<DeathStar> 6* The Triad calls out in Basic: where are you? He takes a step then is hit in the throat, clutching at it instead of firing and falls over dead, blood splashing out of his jugular
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb begins to wonder why he's even here
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "Messy." *she drags him back to the passage too*
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *would note that guns make noise, ninjas don't*
<kalonZombie> <Robb> I was in a commando unit. I know how to silent takedown... just not as sexy. 6*He says quietly
<DeathStar> <Darien on comm> Alright, if the map is accurate, exit that room, take the hallway to the right, then a left at the end and down the stairs
<Seraphna> * Setsuna puffs her cheeks and frowns.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb nods and lets their trap checker lead the way
<Seraphna> * Setsuna starts her scouting.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Later. No time for envy on a mission. Stay alert." *starts moving forward*
<DeathStar> 6* Once they get to the hallway, which goes left and right, they see three Triads on patrol; one to the left, walking away from them wiht his back to them, and two on the right side, one wlaking away and one walking toward them. Their pattern seems to be switching at the point of the room and at the end of the hallway and turning around, so one is always facing their way and one alwaysh facing away. The one on the left goes back and forth too - reaching the end then turning back around and wlak ing toward them then turning and walking away.
<Seraphna> * Setsuna frowns in annoyance.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *points at Setsuna then at the onefacing, Robb to the one on the right walkign away. She indicates she'll take the one to the left*
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb nods and waits for a signal to move
<Seraphna> * Setsuna pulls out another Kunai.
<DeathStar> 6* darien watches through Cassandra's eyes, the symbols still running
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> drops her hand to indicate them to act, starting to move, intending to grab her own target in a chokehold.
<DeathStar> 6* Her target, oblivious, walks away from her a nd she quickly covers the ground to him, reaching him; he flails as he's grabbed in a choke hold
<DeathStar> 6* The one walking toward them pauses, seeing Cassandra step out and goes to open his mouth to shout an alarm
<Seraphna> * Setsuna tosses her Kunai, which turns out to be two Kunai, at the man's neck and chest.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *keeps a hold on him, relying on her cyborg strength to ultimately drop him*
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb moves over as silently as he can to his target, approaching from behind, then tries to cover his mouth with one hand, and breaks his neck
<DeathStar> 6* Setsuna's kunai hits the man's throat before he can call out the alarm and he jerks, then is hit in the chest, falling backwards and hitting the floor; the one facing away hears it and turns but is caught by Robb just in time and falls over dead from a broke neck
<DeathStar> 6* Due to the fact they did it so fast and without an alarm, they get bonus exp.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb silently celebrates
<DeathStar> 6* Now they just have to follow Darien's instructions; the right side of the hallway indeed bends left like he said
<Seraphna> * Setsuna pulls more bodies out of sight, moving towards their next goal carefully scouting.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *moves back to meet them, tosing her takedown target with the other two*
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb follows Set after taking care of his body as well
<DeathStar> 6* Cassandra and Setsuna would see another motion dectection device - two in fact. One is high enough that it will hit their neck, or body if they jump, the other is low so it'll hit their ankles if they walk through it. A space is in the middle
<Seraphna> * Setsuna the Ninja looks at the other two, this likely easy acrobatics for her.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *whisper* "Setsuna, by all means."
<Seraphna> * Setsuna begins to attempt a complicated half jump, twisting down under the high device while hopping over the low one, shifting into a roll on the other side as she lands.
<kalonZombie> <Robb> 6*Whispers Yeah... can't do that...
<Seraphna> * Setsuna waits, smiling as if in on a joke, she winks at Cassandra.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *moves forward, squats down and them moves a leg at a time over the lower beam, while her body remains too low for the neck-level beam*
<DeathStar> 6* Setsuna ninjas through it and then Cassandra does it like an ormal person
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "Well if you wanna do it the easy way."
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb would do it like a sane person as well
<DeathStar> 6* As they descend down the stairs, Darien speaks again. "Alright, you have to go down the hallway, take the hallway to the right then the second door on the left wall. That room has the passage."
<DeathStar> 6* The first hallway has two Triad goons leaning against the walls, facing each other and talking, about mid-way next to the right hallway they will have to talk. They are smoking and looking bored. They're far enough down the middle that sneaking up o nthem won't work
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *indicates Setsuna to try throwing blades, two at once. She indicates to Robb to get his gun ready just in case.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb nods and holds it ready
<Seraphna> * Setsuna aims and tosses a Kunai in each hand, they split into two as well, one each for their sides and two, slightly ahead, at their necks.
<DeathStar> 6* The two Triads are hit at the same time and fall down. They hear a voice from the right hallway they need to take go: what was that? They need to hurry and get to the bodies or turn into the right hallway and kill the person before he gets to the bodies
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *gestures for them to move as she moves forward as well*
<Seraphna> * Setsuna nods to Robb and rushes out to get one body, dragging it back.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb moves to get another body as well, dragging it along
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *moves back with the other two onc ehte bodies are dealt with*
<DeathStar> 6* The bodies are dragged but leave a small blood trail; a Triad goon walks around the corner, glancing around, standing right on a spot of blood. He pauses and peers downward
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *dashes forward and tries to grab him by the throat*
<DeathStar> 6* The Triad is grabbed, unable to cry out
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *twists with her hand*
<DeathStar> 6* The neck broken, he falls dead. Now they just have to reach the correct room
<Seraphna> * Setsuna takes care of the body just in case then moves towards the room, scouting.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb follows behind Set, still holding his pistol, just in case
<DeathStar> 6* There's 3 doors on the left and 3 on the right; which one?
<Seraphna> * Setsuna checks the second door on the left wall.
<DeathStar> 6* Inside is a room. The secret passage here was never found and they see what appears to be a hidden lever needed to open it
<Seraphna> * Setsuna checks it over. "Looks like this is it."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Alright, seal up this room then open up the passage."
<Seraphna> * Sets waves to Robb to deal with the sealing.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb nods and starts to seal the room up, big strong guy he is.
<DeathStar> 6* The room is sealed up after them
<Seraphna> * Setsuna tries the lever with glee. Glee.
<DeathStar> 6* The passage opens and reveals stairs descending down to the final floor
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *nods to Setsuna to resume scouting*
<Seraphna> * Setsuna nods and scouts ahead.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb follows behind Setsuna
<DeathStar> 6* There's no traps as this passage has never been used. They soon find another sealed doorway with a lever, that will open up. Darien speaks on the comm
<DeathStar> <Darien on comm> Alright, from that room you are a straight shoot to the bidding area; so becareful. It'll be heavily armed. Get the goods and get out
<Seraphna> * SEtsuna wiggles her ass at Cassandra. "Ready?"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *pulls out her gun* "Ready."
<kalonZombie> <Robb> As I'll ever be.
<Seraphna> * Setsuna pulls the lever.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *looks through the door as soon as it opens*
<DeathStar> 6* The door opens up; by compete luck they see this room was chosen for storing the item they wanted before going int othe main area. 10 Triad soldiers are facing it and the doorway proteecting it; none glancing their way yet. The vial, having a black substance in it, is inside a floating forcefield with a keypad to lower it.
<Seraphna> * Setsuna pulls out kunais and what appear to be explosives.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *raises her hand then gives the signal to make a takedown*
<Seraphna> * Setsuna hurls a fan of knives out at the guards, tossing the grenades, signalling them to both look away, shielding her own eyes, they're flash grenades.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb looks away and closes his eyes
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *covers her eyes*
<DeathStar> 6* The grenades go off and the Triads make nosies; thankfully for them their sunglasses help a little, so they begin to recover quickly. They open fire blindly, some killing their teammates; three go down. The knives manage to hit 2 others as well. The remaining five keepfiring blindly, some shots heading their way. By now everyone knows what is going on.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *raises her gun and fires, aiming for headshots*
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb aims and fires at the remainders, going for skillshots in any way he can take them
<Seraphna> * Setsuna shifts so that the shield is between her and the Triads, she tosses sticky grenades up and over at the Triads.
<Seraphna> * They explode with massive amounts of fast drying adhesive.
<DeathStar> 6* The bullets strike Cassandra in the chest and side, leaving holes, and one hits Robb in the shoulder, since neither of them dodged. Setsuna dodged though and avoided being hit. Their shots though are tree and CAss and Robb take out three, then Setsuna adhesives the others
<Seraphna> * Setsuna leans around and tosses Kunai out at the remaining pinned.
<DeathStar> 6* Outside, they can hear more Triad prepareing to enter the room
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Cover me." *moves over the keypad*
<kalonZombie> <Robb> Let's grab it and go home 6*He moves over to cover Cassandra
<Seraphna> * Setsuna rolls some cylinders over to the doorway, pulling out a detonator.
<kalonZombie> 6*He shifts the pistol to his good shoulder
<DeathStar> <Darien on comm> That looks like a complicated security system; I don't know if we can hack it
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *internal comm* "Any suggestions for cracking this lock?"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *comm* "Then what?"
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "Just bring the whole thing!?"
<DeathStar> 6* They cannot lift it all
<DeathStar> <Darien on comm> Give me a moment to discuss it with Sam
<DeathStar> 6* The triad begin to bust in
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *turns and fires her gun at the lead triad*
<Seraphna> Sammael> "I could try remote hacking it through Cassandra..."
<Seraphna> * Setsuna hits the trigger after a few move in, detonating the grenades in the doorway.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb fires at the Triad goons while Cass takes care of the leader
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *comm* "Tell me what to do on my end."
<DeathStar> 6* The explosion rocks the monestary and cracks appear in the walls. At that moment Sammael would hear a ding as the symbol is found. The lights set up by the Triad flicker and lights go out. The force field loses power too and the vial is left open for grabs
<Seraphna> * Sammael peers at the results. "Huh..."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *grabs the vial and stashes it in an internal compartment of her body*
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "Did I just get all the experience?"
<kalonZombie> <Robb> Definitely bonus for unusual solution!
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "Let's move!" *she rolls more cylinders for the entryway*
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *comm* "What is our best exit point?"
<DeathStar> 6* The symbols are warnings that the god is sealed there and if anyone disturbs his holy place of power, he will be released to the world of man
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb keeps firing, using his good shoulder to take the recoil
<Seraphna> Sammael> "Umm, Darien, love? Look at this?" *she sends Cassandra a HUD pathway out*
<DeathStar> 6* Darien glances; Robb keeps firing at dead soldiers who got blown up by the grenades
<DeathStar> 6* Darien quickly reads the warning out loud to Cassandra. The monestary shakes a bit
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Move." *starts leading them along the desginated route*
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb follows Cassandra quickly
<Seraphna> * Setsuna follows Cassandra. Holding onto her butt.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "...things are about to DEFCON big time."
<DeathStar> 6* They can hear Triads firing and screaming in the dark as they run along
<kalonZombie> <Robb> That's... never good
<Seraphna> * Setsuna keeps running. "Let's let that thing take care of them."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "There was something that the Chinese thought was a god sealed up under here. We just woke it up. So keep moving!"
<DeathStar> 6* As they head up the passage that goes directly to floor 1, they can feel intense pressure about them. The vial they have glows with evil as well, like a beacon
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "I deny everything, and nothing."
<DeathStar> <Darien on comm> Shit. I think it senses the Dark One energy in that vial and is chasing you, CAssandra.
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "Love, those vials..."
<kalonZombie> <Robb> Well great.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *comm* "What do you suggest then? Let it have it or what?!"
<DeathStar> 6* As they run, three Triads block their path, aiming their guns - like the goons in Uncharted 3, they fire at them despite the fact the monestary is collapsing around them. Darien on the comm speaks. "Destroy it and keep going. It's not worth you dying. Just run a scan before you do so we can get some data."
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb fires back at the Triads
<Seraphna> * Setsuna tackles Cassandra down, while riding her, she tosses kunai out at two of the Triads.
<kalonZombie> 6*Trying to dodge the shots as well
<DeathStar> 6* Robb is shot in the kneecap by a bullet but he shoots one in the head
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *pulls the vial out and sweeps it with internal sensors*
<kalonZombie> <Robb> AHHHHH! SHIT!
<DeathStar> 6* Setsuna's kunai hit the other two and they drop. At that moment, a chinese god's arm grabs his shot leg and begins to drag Robb down the stairs, melting it as he goes along
<DeathStar> 6* Darien gets the data then sends Cass the all clear to destroy it
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb screams in pain, but just keeps firing at it
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Setsuna, explosive, now. Give it to me!"
<Seraphna> * Setsuna tosses papers covered in Evil Warding Charms out at the god. "Back off creepo!"
<Seraphna> * Setsuna slips her a grenade.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *pulls the in on the grenade then tosses both the grenade and the vial at the presumed god*
<DeathStar> 6* It lets go of Robb as the explosives hit, his leg ruined now, then the grenade and the vial hit it, a cloud of death emitting toward Robb a few feet away as well
<Seraphna> * setsuna tosses a wire, dragging Robb to them by his arm.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb starts crawling back towards the girls, trying to ignore the pain, then hops on one leg when Set gets him
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *grabs a hold of Robb and starts running!*
<kalonZombie> <Robb> Can't pass out... can't pass out... not till we're safe, can't... can't pass...
<DeathStar> 6* The black cloud spreads as they run along; reaching the first floor, the ceiling has begun to cave in about them. More Triad show up, firing despite the collapsing area about them. There's four - until one is crushed. The other three keep firing
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *moves to the side to evade the gunfire,(
<Seraphna> * Setsuna slides low to duck under fire, tossing out two Kunai, leaping to one side to dodge more fire if it comes down on her.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb struggles to fire back at them
<DeathStar> 6* Setsuna hits two of the Triad; killing one. Robb then kills the wounded one. The remaining one pauses, then is grabbed by the chinese god and dragged through a hole in the floor screaming; his bones heard breaking
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *keeps running to the exit*
<Seraphna> * Setsuna hops up and keeps running too.
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb keeps limping along, struggling to stay concious
<Seraphna> * Setsuna keeps tugging him forward with ninja wires.
<DeathStar> 6* They reach the exit and escape the monestary. All the trucks are destroyed about them except one, which is firing at what appears to be a being. Their shuttle is still in one piece.
<Seraphna> * Setsuna rushes over to the shuttle. "Let's boogie!"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *runs on board the shuttle and sets Robb into a seat* "Get us out of here!"
<DeathStar> 6* The last of the enemy vehicles are destroyed; only theirs is left. Will they get out in time?!
<DeathStar> 6* The god reaches for their shuttle since Robb isn't takign off
<Seraphna> * Setsuna starts piloting the shuttle, lifting them off.
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "I-I can make it go! But we're screwed for landing!" *she tries blasting away*
<DeathStar> 6* Since it was not Robb who lifted off, the shuttle is penalized by a whack from the god as it goes, damaging it; but Setsuna gets them away just in time
