<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei mumbles to herself, as if talking to someone that is not there, as the group regathers in the security room with the metal object blocking the door; Rosetta has been at the computer, working on a route at the vent with the reality bubble
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "So... do we go for Haruki now or after? Seems like the prisoners will leave when they leave no matter what we do but Tenty McTentacles is stayin here."
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei forms out her hands and summons Umi from a bubble where she's been keeping her this entire time, letting her doggy gather extra energy to use in this alternate reality
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "May be necessary to take her out her to shut down the tentacles."
<DeathStar> <Rosetta> So far it seems Haruki is descendaing
<DeathStar> <Rosetta> Best guess, we leave her alone and will run into her

<DeathStar> 6* Cae peers, jerking when she sees what the squeaktoy is from when Umi got it on an earlier mission
<kalonZombie> 6*Mick paces, checking his ammo, likely low by now

<DeathStar> 6* It seems to take a long, round about way through the vents, going down when it can through the 5 levels. Granted, on the datapad, they can't see where tentacles are, so likely the path is avoiding them
<DeathStar> 6* Rosetta adjusts her brown hair that is much like Dawn's and moves to the vent and grabs the edge, pulling herself up
<kalonZombie> 6*Mick moves to help people up
<Seraphna> Leyaeh> "I never lose a target." *she rises, adjusting herself, Setsuna nods and gets ready, moving over and up after Rosetta*
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl peers around, reaching out once for her wife, frowning a little, then moves over as well
<chain> 6*Umi trots by Lore as they go
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei pets Umi, and goes up with Mick's help

<DeathStar> 6* Rosetta shifts forward, moving as fast as she can along the path after going right, passing three intersections, then going left at the fourth

<DeathStar> 6* And shimmies along super fast, taking the three and goes left on the fourth. Rosetta, meanwhile, drops down on the second drop

<DeathStar> 6* On the next level, Rosetta pauses as she moves through the vent slower, tentacles heard thumping about down here; going straight, she takes a right on the second intersection

<Seraphna> * Leyaeh and Setsuna follow Rosetta's path, taking the right at the second intersection.

<DeathStar> 6* Rosetta moves along quietly and reaches the next drop off point, right next to a mass of tentacles. With lorelei behind her, she slides down it. Lorelei signals Cass at them and slides in
<Seraphna> ( * Setsuna keeps intentionally running into Cassandra's butt ))
<DeathStar> (Umi is more where Cass is at path wise, then Cae after Umi)
<DeathStar> (Then Ley after Umi)

<Seraphna> * Setsuna passes on the signal and follows Rosetta down.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *signals whoever is behind her to be careful with the tentacles and then slides down past them*
<DeathStar> 6* the tentacles slither around the opening, near Umi
<DeathStar> 6* Sensing doggy
<kalonZombie> 6*Mick, once he is able to slide down, goes down carefully
<chain> 6*Umi pauses and growls slightly

<Kit> 6Dawn limps quickly to catch up to Rosetta

<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl, in front of Mick, calls around Kay, Del, and Qay toward Umi in a quiet voice

<DeathStar> 6* Rosetta pauses on the lower level with the people, moved up enough to give them space to come down
<DeathStar> <Rosetta> I think something's holding the others up. *she whispers back8
<Seraphna> * Leyaeh, behind Umi, frowns. "Careful, just shimmy around em."
<DeathStar> 6* The tentacles flop along the vent floor, making Umi have to step over them
<Seraphna> Leyaeh> "I could manifest over em, but it won't last long, fuckers are strong." *she says softly*
<chain> 6*Umi steps on one
<Kit> 6Isara picks up the rear slowly, mewling.
<DeathStar> 6* Cae, actually in front of Leyaeh, and behind Umi, after the GM looked over it, pales
<DeathStar> 6* Dawn and Isara soon came up behind Mick
<DeathStar> 6* The tentacles jerk at being stepped on and the mass is alerted
<DeathStar> 6* The other tentacles begin to try to move toward Umi, getting --- stuck

<Seraphna> Leyaeh> "..." *whispers* "We need to move."
<chain> 6*Umi snarls and starts to tear and claw into them
<Aqua> *Kay makes a fave
<DeathStar> 6* The tentacles begin to get shred, black ooze splattering on Umi's white coat as they die
<kalonZombie> 6*Mick mackes a face as well
<DeathStar> 6* Cae grimaces
<chain> 6*Umi sniffs then rolls in it
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Well, the rest of us don't have to worry about going quietly there now

<DeathStar> 6* Up ahead, on the fourth level of the vents, Rosetta gets them to a right turn they need to go to where another mass of tentacles. Umi, soaked in tentacle ooze, smells like them now, making those behind her grimace now and again. To get around this next batch, Rosetta pushes her back against the vent wall as the tentacles feel about without being aware and edges along it around the 90 degree turn, always facing them, even as they almost touch her chest feeling about her
<DeathStar> 6* And then once clear, shimmies ahead to the next drop
<DeathStar> <Lorelei> ... fuck me. *she mumbles, un Lorelei like at how tight this one is, eyeing her C cups*
<Seraphna> Leyaeh> "I sympathize." <Setsuna> "I don't. And somehow that depresses me."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "...you're telling me... I had to get the queen-size package." *eyes her double Ds*
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei waits for Setsuna to make it
<Seraphna> * Setsuna repears Rosetta's action, pressing her back against the vent wall and edging along.
<DeathStar> 6* A tentacle grazes along Setsuna's throat area --- but odesn't touch it as she makes it. Lorelei begins to go
<chain> 6*Umi trots without a care
<DeathStar> 6* The tentacles begin to graze along her breast area as she begins to go. They pause, as if alerted to her and she freezes, holding her breath, then pause ans she goes, dragging herself along as careful as she can go, then hurries and drops, leaving Cass to go, then Umi
<Kit> 6Dawn moves to slip through on her turn, her breasts bound and not huge anyway.

<DeathStar> <Cheryl> I don't suppose when Umi is up she'll be able to do a repeat. *She eyes these tentacles looking bigger*

<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "...damn.." *eyes the tentacles, exhales to try to reduce her profile and then starts through*

<DeathStar> 6* As Cassandra edges forward, it's clear she won't make it - her Double D's are too big. Somehow, she has to get Umi in front of her, or kill them.
<DeathStar> 6* The space is too big. But do to Cass' size, Umi can't edge around.

<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "This isn't going to work. Umi, cna you make it past me?"

<DeathStar> <Cheryl> If not, Cass, you're going to have to try to fire your railgun in here, even if it means ripping a hole in the vents.

<DeathStar> 6* Umi drops down the hole and lands in Cassandra's lap, leaving gunk in it, spreading the love
<kalonZombie> <Mick> Unless they're weak to me thinking loudly at them, I don't think I do
<Seraphna> * Leyaeh peers forward.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Ok.... *tries to turn so that Umi is between her and the tentacles*

<DeathStar> 6* They don't even reach out
<DeathStar> 6* Despite Mick finding they have a hive mind, the smell of Umi seems to make them think "one of us"
<Seraphna> * Leyaeh takes a deep sniff. "They track like I do..."
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> You getting a read on them, Mick? They seem to be doing nothing
<DeathStar> 6* Umi would see their guard is completely down as they move along
<kalonZombie> 6*Mick turns his brain reading up to average again
<DeathStar> 6* Mick would get all that the GM said
<kalonZombie> 6*Since he turned it down since they had creepy thoughts
<Seraphna> * Leyaeh plays it safe despite this and presses against the other wall, moving carefully as she takes her turn, cautious.
<DeathStar> 6* Cae goes next, so Leyaeh can go
<kalonZombie> <Mick> THey... think Umi's one of them
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Hmmm... Umi, think you can collect more of that tentacle goo?"
<Seraphna> * After Cae that is
<chain> 6*Umi pounces for it
<DeathStar> <Cae> *then, despite being weak, debates attacking. She cuts out as Umi does and soon the two are covered in goo*
<DeathStar> 6* Cae then throws goo nto LEy, and throws some past at Kay
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Alright gang, stink up

<DeathStar> 6* The fifth level, Rosetta leads them along past tentacles that don't reach out toward them and they reach a barrier and uses her datapad to deactivate it and drops into a room that loks prestine compared to above
<DeathStar> 6* One by one as they enter, even Dawn and Isara, they find themselves in a work station area, with beds and clothing, and terminals, and a door way exit. Rosetta puts the barrier back up
<DeathStar> <Rosetta> That barrier is keeping the tentacles/nest out
<DeathStar> <Rosetta> From the research lab that is untouched so far.
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei whines at the goo on her tails
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "Is it a straight shot from here?"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "The Illium sitll in there?"
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl looks around, her blonde hair looked spunky
<chain> 6*Umi looks for praise since she helped a lot
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei hugs Umi and pets
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> You'll get lots of treats back home, girl

<Kit> 6Isara sobs, drenched.
<kalonZombie> 6*Mick tries to probe Illium minds on the other side
<Seraphna> Leyaeh> "We better hope they are, otherwise they left with our goal."
<Kit> 6Dawn makes a disdainful face, but smiles weakly at Rosetta. 1"Definitely when we get back I"m..."
<DeathStar> <Rosetta> The security room showed there's a few levels of the base untouched, and there was a good number - the security Illium were moving our people, and the researchers, toward an area to get them out, but with communications being blocked, they likely need to get a signal out to get help
<DeathStar> 6* Mick wouldn't find any in the nearby area, but there are Illiums in the base
<kalonZombie> <Mick> No sparklelords nearby
<Seraphna> Leyaeh> "Alright, let's be jailbreakers."
<Kit> <Isara> C'monnn, I wanna shoot something!
<DeathStar> 6* Cae is walking about the area, checking out the lockers
<DeathStar> 6* She pulls out a strange looking black armor looking thing that looks hollow inside
<Seraphna> * Setsuna assists Cae.
<Aqua> *Kay stays near Cae
<DeathStar> 6* With strange looking veiny contraptions inside it
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "That... isn't what they normally wear."
<Aqua> Qay> Weeeeird
<DeathStar> 6* CAe tosses it aside; it thuds loudly
<Aqua> Qay> Who wamts to try it on?
<Seraphna> Leyaeh> "...Looks like chittin."
<kalonZombie> <Mick> Looks gross.
<DeathStar> 6* Cae opens a few more lockers - there's two more, then two normal armor, and a strange looking black sword with the handle having the veiny stuff
<Aqua> *Qay moves over and sees if it would fit him
<DeathStar> 6* Qay could slide inside it, yes.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Be careful with that stuff."
<Aqua> *Qay looks inside
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "Strikes me this is probably what they were making when they made the tentacle shit."
<DeathStar> 6* The insides have the veiny looking stuff running all through it, including the arms
<Aqua> Qay> Hey Mick, check amd see if it's alive?
<Aqua> Qay> Imma go venom.
<DeathStar> 6* And a black gun with the handle having it.
<kalonZombie> 6*Mick tries to read it's... "mind"
<DeathStar> 6* No mind
<kalonZombie> <Mick> It's not... sentient at least.
<DeathStar> 6* Caesura pulls on the normal armor
<DeathStar> 6* Leaving one normal armor.
<Seraphna> Setsuna> "You know how it is, make amazing tech, discard waste, waste turns out to be a monster that infests your base.. usual black ops science stuff."
<DeathStar> 6* There's also an ID card in a locker.
<Seraphna> * Setsuna gets on the other armor.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Then its worth at least collecting to get the brains to try to figure out what they are researching."
<DeathStar> 6* There's also a civilian outfit in another locker that is all blue
<DeathStar> 6* And glitters.
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei admires, and has Umi eat it for later.
<Aqua> *Qay moves to slide into the armour
<chain> 6*Umi goes for the outfit
<DeathStar> <Rosetta> You...had your dog eati t?
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl takes the ID card, and a map of the base
<Kit> <Dawn> That's so... unique
<DeathStar> 6* The armor locks down on Qay painfully, sealing up around him, burning him painfully
<Aqua> *Qay howls
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Check on Qay!"
<chain> 6*Marshall reels and tries to get him out
<DeathStar> 6* The armor bulges up, increasing his muscle size and expands, giving him a helmet and he is able to see lifesigns from his teammates, listed as HP

<Seraphna> Leyaeh> "Yep, see? Bad stuff. I wouldn't pull it off though."
<DeathStar> 6* The burning pain begins to subside
<DeathStar> 6* His hands are incased in hard armor now as well
<Seraphna> Leyaeh> "It's fusing with him, I think."
<DeathStar> 6* AS well as legs and tail
<Aqua> Qay>....Calles it! I'm fuckig venom!

<Seraphna> Leyaeh> "The weapons likely do the same, symbiosis technology."

<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Ok, but the moment you freak out and turn on us, I'll have to shoot you, ok?"

<Seraphna> Leyaeh> "Not sure if he'll ever be able to get it off safely, let's hope it has a 'hide' command or some shit."

<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei picks up one black armor and looks like she might put it on

<DeathStar> 6* As they move down the sterlized hallways of white, Cheryl - eyeing the map - passes many doors and ignores cameras.
<Kit> 6Dawn giggles behind a hand, then hugs Rosetta.

<chain> 6*Umi and Marshall follow
<DeathStar> 6* With Rosetta and Cae catching up - Lorelei also puts the weapons in her subspace for now

<DeathStar> <Cheryl> The main lab is a floor down, come on. 6* She reaches an elevator and taps the button, waiting. It begins to come up. At that moment, the door behind them begins to open and two Illium soldiers, on guard duty, step out and begin to aim weapons, wearing normal armor
<Aqua> *Qay looks about, seeing what he picks up
<DeathStar> <Illium> Halt! [Translated]
<DeathStar> 6* Their black helmets read their lifesigns and two heart rates
<chain> 6*Umi shakes hard to throw some of the gunk on their weapons
<Kit> 6Dawn turns and reaches out, psionically gripping one and begins slamming him into the ceiling and floor repeatedly, then tries to use him as a club on the other.
<Aqua> *Qay sprints at them, going through a fox hole to land behind them and shoulder on
<Aqua> One
<DeathStar> 6* Dawn would find her psionics doesn't quite affect the Illiums, and has a memory that is one reason they could jump her and other psionics so easily
<Kit> 6Dawn falters and jerks, reaching to her head.
<Seraphna> * Setsuna peers at them in her armor and frowms, about to speak when the others spring into attack.
<DeathStar> 6* The Illiums shake their guns as the gunk messes with them a little, and fire to get it off, then reaim, when Qay shoulders one - meanwhile, an alarm goes off, souinding in Illium the barrier is done
<kalonZombie> 6*Mick reels a bit
<DeathStar> *down
<DeathStar> 6* Cae screams at their feet, damaging their armor
<Aqua> *Qay punches at the second
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei fires dragoon energy at the damaged armor
<Kit> 6Isara runs up and touches one of the Illium, pausing for a second and smiling seductively, wriggling her tails.
<Seraphna> * Setsuna tosses a shock charm at their legs, electricity arching at the cracks Cae makes.
<Kit> <Isara> Hello~
<DeathStar> 6* Qay's black armor punches harder than normal, and shatters the Illium armor
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "And so much for subtlety." *launches herself at the other Illium, pulling a sidearm to try to shoot thst Illium in the face at pointblank*
<Seraphna> * Leyaeh frowns, crystal armor and arm blades manifesting fully again.
<chain> 6*since the others have this handled Umi and Marshall hurry on ahead to be sure none one is coming from the way they are headed
<kalonZombie> 6*Mick blinks at Qay punching through armor, then moves with Umi and Marshall
<Aqua> *Del moves with Marshall
<DeathStar> 6* Cassandra, able to now shoot the non-armored Illium in the face, jerks them back as their crystal skull face absorbs a lot of the damage, and falls back, bleeding but alive. The other, , eyes Isatra, before Setsuna shocks their legs, damaging them
<Aqua> *Qay kicks at the shatter
<DeathStar> 6* Umi and and Marshall would see --- Haruki coming along, covered in the tentacles, possessed, and leading more of the mass of tentacles. The elevator dings, arriving and opening
<DeathStar> 6* Qay cracks the crystal bone
<Aqua> *Del reels
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl steps onto the elevator and Lorelei runs, with Cae, and Rosetta
<Kit> 6Isara steps away from the Illium, having manipulated the electrons in the atoms of the Illium's armor, too cool to look at explosions.
<Aqua> *Qay hops about and smiles, sending out a flurry of punches
<Aqua> *Kay moves with Cae
<Kit> 6Dawn hobbles beside Rosetta.
<kalonZombie> <Mick> Ooooooh that's not good...
<Kit> <Dawn> Psionics don't work on them...
* Seraphna has quit IRC (Remote host closed the connection)
<DeathStar> 6* The armor explodes, damaging Qay's armor and the helmets lists the damage points

<DeathStar> 6* The Illium falls over, dead, from the armor explosion and Qay's punches

<Kit> <Isara> What's wrong, nyao?
<DeathStar> 6* Qay's armor lists a time, in Illium, how long it will take to repair the damaged areas. But it seems moveable. Pain burns his body as it uses his own body to repair
<DeathStar> 6* As Umi and MIck rush forward... (cont)
<Aqua> Qay> Why would you explode something I am fist fighting?!
<Aqua> *Qay winces at the burning
<Kit> 6Isara moves over and holds Qayin's arm, rubbing it and purring-- she's actually examining him and the armor to see if she can fix it.
<Aqua> Qay> It's fixing itself. *He shrugs her off and moves to catch up
<DeathStar> 6* Umi tackles Haruki and bites her tentacles, making Haruki scream in pain and grab Umi's throat, forming her tonfas to swing at her side, then jerks in pain as Mick grabs her tentacles, ripping some off of her and she stumbles back, teleporting away a distance with her powers, and launches tonfas at them that explode near them with dragoon energy mixed with dark energy

<Seraphna> * Leyaeh taps the floor and sends two tiny flowing lines of crystal at the ground towards Haruki, when they reach, she'll use it as a conduit to try to make a crystal floor trap to hold Haruki's feet.

There's a large black craft, sleek and new looking, unlike anything they've encounted, and being pushed up it are frozen chambers with bodies in it. All around the chamber are scientists at terminals, downloading data to crystals and black armored Illium security - the security being about 20.

<DeathStar> 6* The scientists jerk as they are hit by the knives, surviving due to being Illiums, but injured. They stumble along and call out alarm. Cheryl surges forward and punches the armored Illium hard, keeping him off balance so he can't alert anyone
<chain> 6*Umi barrels into any of the nearest guards before booking for the craft
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *runs by and then kicks at the back of the armored Illium's legs while he is sitll off balance.
