<DeathStar> 6* It has been four days since the under cover work and so far there's been no word on how the undercover work has paid off, though they did manage to slip in the trackers. Ire and Iceheart have been quiet, keeping agents tracking it, while the team has been ordered to relax in order to be ready. Aya lays in medical, recovering as best she can from what they can do but so far it's clear there's little that can be done - they need to find a pure Motenk blood donor to give her and they don't exist anymore so they have to make a special trip into deep space to do it, but there's been no time to send a team. John though has put together a small group, including Kit's character, Null, and anyone else who would want to help Null, and gone to do that just the day before, leaving the rest of the team behind to protect Earth
<DeathStar> 6* Katrina is quiet, despite it being her birthday, having been recovering well and moves through the base after a psych eval and an intense training session, having worked up a sweat.
<DeathStar> 6* She walks down a hallway corridor when Ire does an emergency alarm to come immediately to the base's op center, no delay
<AqauKoala> *Teddy moves over by Katrina holding out a present then blinks at the alarm, heading for it
<Seraphna> * Between the wives, Elayne opted to go with John, leaving Seraphna behind, who has new Hunters to get built and Reploids to maintain. So Seraphna arrives at the op center right away.

<Seraphna> Seraphna> "LA destroyed again? I'm beginning to think it's a tourist stunt."
<Seraphna> * Anyata peers at the monitors with a frown.

<Seraphna> Seraphna> "Not as regular for most as it is for me. But in my lifetime this is... what, the fourth time?"

<DeathStar> 6* Ire glances at Seraphna, not saying anything a moment, then speaks. "The devices you scoped out were delivered to both cities. We were thinking they were awaiting pick up and were observing, hoping that one of the enemies would pick them up. We were right and wrong - a delivery service unwittingly transported them about both cities. For Los Angeles that was no big deal

<Seraphna> Seraphna> "And London's haven't detonated yet."
<DeathStar> <Ire> Before we could act, agents set off each bomb and has triggered sesamatic events in the ground, causing a massive 9.6 earth quake throughout L.A. It's sinking into the ground as we speak - and no force on this planet can get them out in time. A barrier went up to prevent special powers and teleports. 25 million people are about to die.

<DeathStar> <Ire> To move the bombs about London are much harder, as getting down to the pillars is not as easy and our enemies cannot use simple delivery services. We have more time there. We're sending you all in to save as many people as you can in L.A. See if you can at all turn off any of the devices causing the quakes
<DeathStar> <Ire> Every second, the city is being ravaged and thousands are dying

<Seraphna> * Seraphna keeps looking at the monitors, a dead look in her eyes. "Earthquakes... again..."

<DeathStar> 6* Katrina takes it and smiles weakly to Teddy, moving to get ready quickly. Atay looks at the smoking LA and zooms out quickly to get geared up

<Seraphna> * Anyata frowns and turns to leave. <Seraphna> "Anyata, grab Packages D and G for you and Atay."

<Seraphna> * Anyata peers at it. "What device is this?" *she is carrying a real Katana at her hip, a larger sword provided for Atayna, they're equipped with Vibrotech*

<Seraphna> * ANyata nods. "Interesting."

<Seraphna> Seraphna> "Hrm... it's draining power sources. I'll have to test other capabilities once we're inside."

<Seraphna> Seraphna> "Reploids should stick to physical weapons and sidearms while we're in there, if it's draining core energy, powers will drain you faster."
<DeathStar> 6* Iceheart frowns as the shuttle shakes; up ahead L.A. can be seen, buildings already toppeld over and smoke rising, a barrier around it . People are running out on foot and on vehicles, but cracks can be seen in the ground. Right as they are landing, a family of three kids, a husband and wife in a mini van, with a dog, are on the crowded street with thousands other, when a crack forms; the father panics and backs up to try to go around, but the fates are cruel and he backs up where the actual hole forms and his family falls into the pit, the dog barking all the way down even before their ramp lowers

<DeathStar> 6* Atay stares, looking shocked, eyes widened in horror.
<DeathStar> 6* Katrina looks ill as she walks down the ramp, and eyes the other cars beginning to try to get off the ramp, crashing into each other and causing a massive mess despite army and local law enforcement's attempts

<Seraphna> * Anya uses her link to calm Atay, moving out carefully. Seraphna sniffs, fixing on an armored gauntlet, slight armor plating has been added onto her suit.
<Jackieness> <XX> "We need to find and shut the damned things down. Do we have the shipping locations on record?"

<kalonZombie> 6*Æ moves out carefully, bringing along a normal spear as opposed to his plasma one

<Seraphna> * Seraphna pulls out paper. "I had maps printed out while I was getting dressed, in case our datapads fail."
<DeathStar> 6* Her voice is cold as she walks toward the city, ignoring the cars and letting others deal with it, even as more drop down cracks and people rush at their shuttle trying to use it. She taps a button activating defenses so that, even when one man ignores the warnings the shuttles says, she doesn't turn back when he's blasted back

<Seraphna> * Seraphna frowns. "This will be hard on all of you, but you must do as Iceheart says." *she hands XX a map*

<DeathStar> <Iceheart> This reminds me of what happened last time...and I wasn't here. 6* She mutters
<kalonZombie> Æ nods slowly, following Iceheart, then leans on his spear for support "Ugh..."
<DeathStar> 6* Katrina walks through quietly, glad her psionics are gone now so she can't hear all the pain and suffering
<Seraphna> Seraphna> "Our priority is those devices, try to play a hero, you could get killed. I don't want to lose another hunter to this damnable fault line." *shivers* "The hell drains me too...?"

<DeathStar> <Iceheart> The closest one is this way. 6* She seems to have memorized it and begins to walk northward down the road

<DeathStar> <Iceheart> This is a trap. We're not splitting up. We stay together and see what is awaiting us at the first one. And the vehicles here have been hit by this barrier the longest. The roads are also unsafe now. Using them can be just as dangerous as not. You see motorcycles or whatnot, fine. But anything else no

<DeathStar> 6* The streets are all cracked and broken up and there are power cables all along the roads, sparking.
<DeathStar> 6* Iceheart just keeps a brisk pace, shaking her head at Tedd

<Seraphna> Seraphna> "This did seem like a little too much work just to take out a city." *she keeps following Iceheart*

<Seraphna> * Anyata keeps a hand on her blade, walking along with Atay.
<DeathStar> 6* Near a crevice, a little girl cries for help, begging someone to help her. Atay jerks and runs for the crevice, despite it being a bit off to the side

<DeathStar> 6* She keeps hurrying over to the crevice and peers over, shifting her hair and sees a little girl down below, pinned by some concrete in a sub-way tunnel below, water filling it pipes and run off
<DeathStar> 6* A light rain has begin to fall as well

<DeathStar> 6* she keeps toward the device

<Seraphna> * Anyata frowns and pulls a cord from around her waist, tying it to something and lowering it down.
<DeathStar> 6* At this time the water has only come up to the girl's butt
<kalonZombie> <Æ> What do we do? Normally I'd just teleport down there, grab her, and teleport back but...
<Seraphna> Anyata> "Bear, leap down and move the iron bar, then use the rope to bring her up."
<DeathStar> 6* Atay looks up at a some men robbing a shop. "Help get this girl so we can continue our mission!"
<AquaKoala> *Teddy nods and hops down
<DeathStar> 6* The men look over, about in their 20s, ignore her and grab some items and begin to run off when a shake causespart of the building to fall over and pin them. They begin to cry out for help as the ground gets unstable under them, threatening to crush them for good
<kalonZombie> 6*Æ moves over and grabs some of the rope to help Anyata with some extra muscle
<DeathStar> 6* Ice and co is temporarily off scene
<DeathStar> 6* As Teddy leaps down with his mighty weight, he shakes the unstable area and falls through a hole
<DeathStar> 6* FAlling down a chamber into a deeper area, he drains the building water a least

<Seraphna> Anyata> "Focus on the girl, they made their choice. After this we go back to Iceheart--- damnit."
<AquaKoala> *Teddy flails and roars
<DeathStar> 6* Katrina frowns, peering down and climbs down the rope now
<AquaKoala> Teddy> TEDDY CAN TRY TO FIND WAY UP, THINK IN SEWERS
<Seraphna> * Anyata takes the matching rope from around Atay and slides down after Katrina, careful of her, then sets teh second rope up for Teddy.
<Seraphna> Anya> "Use this. And hurry."

<kalonZombie> 6*Æ keeps holding the rope from before, not wanting to risk any more weight down there
<DeathStar> 6* Katrina cuts the girl free; Teddy gets up to the one level while Kat gets up to the ground level finally awith the girl; the rain begins to pour now and the guys are heard screaming to their deaths as the weight crushes them
<DeathStar> 6* Atay looks up as a building begins to shake from another aftershock and tilts their way
<DeathStar> <Atay> Hurry, sister!
<Seraphna> * Anyata races up the rupe and joins them.
<AquaKoala> *Teddy begins climbing up the next level
<kalonZombie> 6*Æ reaches down and grabs Anyata's hand as she gets close and pulls her up

<DeathStar> 6* Katrina keeps the girl over her shoulder, and seeing Teddy is much slower, begins to strain to pull the rope up with Atay's help
<DeathStar> 6* The building teeters closer
<AquaKoala> *Tedy tries climbing as fast as bearly possible
<DeathStar> 6* The girl, about 4, cries as she clutches Katrina. As Ash gets Anyata and Teddy reaches the top, it's clear they have 5 seconds to move it

<DeathStar> 6* The building crashes against the ground, and the street begins to crack and break behind them, the ground falling downward behind them as Katrina and Atay hurry along northward. Atay pauses as she spots a woman in a building with no way down due to the building having fallen against another in a slant, the stairs destroyed, crying for someone to save her two children, cute little kids who look a bit like Tel and Hi without the ears. The street collapsing will reach their building. Katrina, having the one girl, keeps northward, having to think of her, while Atay veers off for theo ne building

<Seraphna> * Anyata frowns and races after Atay, lifts her up and keeps after Katrina.

<Seraphna> * Anyata frowns and lets her go, then grabs her hand, moving there with her swiftly.

<DeathStar> 6* Teddy reaches the building swiftly; but due to Anyata's delay, the street breaks in such a way they can't get to it now and Atay stares at the gaping hole and then at her sister, glaring at her in a way she's never done before
<DeathStar> 6* The ground keeps breaking behind Teddy and Ash as they stand at the buiilding; the woman and her kids are three stories up and there's no way up there
<Seraphna> * Anyata frowns, "We need to find a way for them to get back around with them. I am sorry... sister."
<AquaKoala> Teddy> Jump to Teddy!
<DeathStar> 6* Katrina holds theo ne girl, peering at the sisters. "We need to catch up with Iceheart; we can't do anything here now. And this area is unstable."

<DeathStar> 6* The woman looks down at Teddy and Ash and the ground breaking behind them, the kids clinging to them. "W-We can't!"
<Seraphna> Anyata> "But... how will Teddy and Ash get out?"
<DeathStar> <Katrina> *grimly* They'll have to find another way and they never looked at the map.
<AquaKoala> Teddy> Is okay! Teddy will protect from fall!

<AquaKoala> *Teddy nods, roaring
<DeathStar> 6* The woman looks at the children, trying to get them to jump when the ground breaks under Teddy and Ash and they drop down below; a moment later the building with the family in it collapses and the sound of crunching is the last thing the two reploids hear as they fall into the sewers, and the sound of roaring water
<DeathStar> -SCENE SHIFT-
<DeathStar> 6* Iceheart eyes the warehouse, somehow in perfect shape, where the device was delivered. There's no guards visible but Iceheart spots movement pa st one window on the second floor, pointing it out
<Jackieness> <XX> *nods wordlessly*
<Seraphna> Seraphna> "Definately a trap."
<Seraphna> *she whispers this very low*
<Seraphna> Seraphna> *rubs her face, peering back once, worrying about her kids who didn't listen, afraid that history is going to repeat itself*
<Jackieness> <XX> *looks at Iceheart for her orders*
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> We go in, take them out, and disable; we have no time to do it pretty or clean
<DeathStar> 6* She pulls out an old fashion bullet gun
<DeathStar> 6* Checking the chamber, she walks forward, letting them see her coming after motioning the others to take the side doors
<Seraphna> * Seraphna pulls out a large, old fashioned looking revolver that takes very big bullets.
<Seraphna> * Seraphna moves to a side door.
<Jackieness> <XX> *heads for the side door*
<DeathStar> 6* 5th Column people begin to fire with ancient nazi guns, firing at Iceheart with the old rifles and she dodges as she best she can, firing back. The side door awaits opening
<DeathStar> 6* Glass is heard shattering as the rifle marksmen fire through at Iceheart approaching the front and taking them on stubbornly
<Seraphna> * Seraphna opens the side door, moving in with her gun ready.
<Jackieness> <XX> *moves in after Seraphna*
<DeathStar> 6* Two Nazis with old swords swing at Seraphna; in the background the device can be seen, a barrier about it and pulses come off of it; wires run into the ground
<Seraphna> * Seraphna aims at the nearest one and squeezes the trigger, the hand cannon fires a shot gun shell round, which spreads fragments and launches them. She brings her gauntleted hand around at the other, a blade extending to block.
<DeathStar> 6* The one Nazi goes flying back into the barrier, repelled by it and dead. Iceheart crashes through the front door, fluid running down her right shoulder from a shot
<DeathStar> 6* The other Nazi is beginning to slice into XX's arm
<Jackieness> <XX> *then reaches over to punch the Nazi in the face*
<Seraphna> * Seraphna cocks the gun, the barrel rolling the next heavy shell into place as she looks for the next threat.
<DeathStar> 6* XX punches the Nazi's face, but her left arm has been badly cut, bleeding. The room looks clear and Iceheart fires at one of the cables in the ground, destroying the barrier - it sends one pulse that damages their guns slightly and she frowns, taking note of that, before firing and destroying the device.
<DeathStar> 6* The barrier surrounding that part of the city weakens consideriblely. "The next device we should focus on is near here; we might make a hole at least."
<Jackieness> <XX> *then stabs a finger at one of the Nazi's eye sockets*
<Seraphna> Seraphna> "Mmm, we'll have to be careful with that, parts for this Samaritan are expensive."
<DeathStar> 6* Iceheart eyes XX. "Anger much?"6* She asks at the squishing sound and body twitch that follows from the body on the ground
<DeathStar> 6* Katrina and Atay and Anyata catch up. Atay is glowering quietly
<DeathStar> 6* Katrina seems to have given the girl off to law enforcement on the way
<Seraphna> SEraphna> "Do we wait for the others to catch up... I see." *she peers at the three* "Where are my Reploids?"
<Jackieness> <XX> "An eye for an eye... or a cut, as it were." *reaches to strip some cloth from the Nazi's uniform to use for a bandage*
<DeathStar> <Atay> Dead.
<Seraphna> * Seraphna's eyes grow cold.
<DeathStar> 6* The area shakes here, with the barrier gone and Iceheart frowns. "lets go."
<DeathStar> 6* She moves out of the warehouse, ignoring her wound and hurries down the street
<Seraphna> Seraphna> "You all will stay with the group. Anyone runs off again and they'll get dragged by a dragon." *she heads after Iceheart, Anyata shakes a bit, but starts to follow*
<Jackieness> <XX> *grabs the two swords of the fallen Nazis and then moves in after Iceheart*

<DeathStar> 6* She walks along without a word, something definitely different
<DeathStar> -SCENE SHIFT-
<DeathStar> 6* Teddy and Ash awaken in a dark area. Their devices from Katrina are broken and their strength is that of puny humans at best. The sound of water is heard about them and wetness. They are underground and there's no light of day anywhere. The storm outside is bad
<DeathStar> 6* Water is flooding in from all sorts of pipes
<kalonZombie> 6*Æ slowly gets up "Uuuuugh... is this what humans feel like? Jeez, how do they deal?"
<AquaKoala> *Teddy blinks looking around "Are in sewers, brother alright?"
<kalonZombie> <Æ> Yeah, I'm fine, it just smells is all.
<AquaKoala> *Teddy gets up and feels about blindly
<DeathStar> 6* They hear a tiny, female voice. "Hello?"
<kalonZombie> 6*Æ feels about for Teddy as well
<AquaKoala> Teddy> Hello little girl, come to my voice.
<DeathStar> <Tiny Femine Voice> I can't move and there's a lot of water in here.... 6* She sounds further away up ahead. Near them Teddy can make out a ladder leading upward.
<kalonZombie> <Æ> I'll go. You stay here so I can follow your voice. 6*He starts to head that way, feeling about
<AquaKoala> *Teddy moves to the voice feeling about "Keep talking, Teddy will help you."
<kalonZombie> 6*That way being towards the voice
<DeathStar> 6* They run into a bunch of rubble that has fallen down; the voice is on the other side. The person seems trapped behind it and their strength is that of normal humans. The water level is rising quickly
<DeathStar> <Voice> ARe you two heroes?
<AquaKoala> *Teddy begins attempting to move the rubble away "Yes, we come to save city"
<kalonZombie> <Æ> We're gonna try to be. 6*He starts to try to help Teddy
<DeathStar> 6* As they begin to move it, it shifts and begins to look ready to fall backwards toward the direction of the voice
<kalonZombie> <Æ> Look out! 6*He tries to move to find some way to stop it from falling backwards
<AquaKoala> *Teddy roars and tries holding it in place
<DeathStar> 6* After a moment it settles. The voice speaks. "What are your super hero names?"
<AquaKoala> Teddy> Teddy name is Teddy
<DeathStar> 6* The water level right now is up to Teddy and Ash's knees
<DeathStar> 6* The voice giggles. "That's a strange hero name."
<kalonZombie> <Æ> Æ. 6*He carefully begins to start on the rubble again
<AquaKoala> *Teddy tries to carefully move the rubble so it doesn't shift "Teddy is bear"
<kalonZombie> <Æ> If that's too hard for you to pronounce just call me Ash.
<DeathStar> 6* Due to how it's fallen, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to move it without super human strength without toppling the base backwards like unstable books piled on each other
<AquaKoala> *Teddy frowns "What little girls name?"

The Nazis are on the street in the center of the mass chaos of fallen buildings, where the ground is more solid, the device having it's little barrier up and the cables in the ground. There's about 40 Nazis, all wearing armor and weilding machine guns and swords on their backs. Some have rocket launchers

<DeathStar> 6* AFter a vicious battle, the group is left bloodied and weak, their weapons broken for the most part and the device's barrier broken. One Nazi is left, the commander, and all their attacks so far have been useless, so Atay has led him away from the device so the others can figure out a plan. Iceheart pants, taking her ice shard device since it won't work and overloads it, tossing it at the device

<DeathStar> 6* The ground shifts about them, the crack forming behind them starting to close. Atay bites her lip and just charges and throws herself into the commander at the last minute to launch them both at the cfrack to fall in, figuring the pressure of it closing wil le enough

<Seraphna> * Anyata rushes with her, she shifts and kicks at the commander then grabs at Atay, trying to use the Commander as a springboard to get them both away.
<DeathStar> 6* The Commander instead grabs Anyata as he dangles over the edge, Atay clinging to him as the walls begin to close. The commander lifts the orb above the fissure as he hangs onto Anyata
<DeathStar> <Commander> The ... 5th Column...will not fail...
<DeathStar> 6* Atay tries to reach up from below the fissure wall point, being lower still, trying to nab it from his hand or yank him down from Anyata
<Jackieness> <XX> "Shoot it!"

<Seraphna> * ANyata growls, tossing her rope up, Seraphna rushing over to grab it.

<DeathStar> 6* The commander's hand is hit and he drops the orb downward and it lands onto a ledge. He peers down and kicks with his foot to knock it back up into the air; the two sides are about to seal in the next 15 seconds

<Seraphna> * Seraphna then pulls, Anyata kicks viciously at the Commander and pulls up.
<kalonZombie> 6*Ash rushes over and steps on the Nazi's fingers, but not lifting his foot, making sure he can't drop off

<DeathStar> 6* The orb lands on the ground. At that moment the dog they rescued from earlier runs up and grabs it in it's mouth, tail wagging as it holds it and walks over to XX. 10 seconds.

<DeathStar> 6* The orb flies in and the commander watches it. Atay stands free. 5 seconds.

<Seraphna> * Seraphna then tugs harder, growling as Anyata kicks again, and then detaches her own limb that the commander is holdign, sliding out.
