<DeathStar> Stardate: A Long Time Ago Before "Now"
<DeathStar> Location: Some Place in Japan
<Kit> "Why now, why now...? Of all times?"
<Kit> 6A a dark-haired woman overlooks a small child, not even ten years of age yet, shaking her vigorously. Technically there wasn't anything to do even if she had wanted to, the moonlight coming in from the window had an odd effect on her kid-- her hair turned white, her eyes shining golden like an animal in the shadows.
<Kit> 6A noise at the door causes both of them to look over quickly and the mother starts to panic, looking for something to cover her with, a coat strewn over one of the tables is used and she ushers her to move from the kitchen, to leave somehow.
<Kit> 6The door opening, a dishevled man, weather worn and seen better days stumbles in. On a good day he might look like a respectable business man, but on one of these typical evenings, a tipsy and messy-looking after work barhop. 1"I forgot my coat," 6He mumbles.
<Kit> 6The woman freezes, the girl peering over and smiling brightly. 1"Papa's home already!"
<Kit> 6Looks exchanged between the three, the mother and father both give off frightened expressions, the mother out of protection, the father out of a realization most would find when coming home to see their kid possessed in the moonlight. His kid's a monster? The tail, the ears. Surely they were just stories when he himself was a kid, but there it is. Quickly he eyes the mother/
<Kit> 6Her hand twitches, then reaches quickly for the knife on the cutting board. In an instant the two are at one another, his hands on her wrists, their voices clamouring nothing more than grunts and quick breaths, while the kid tilts her head, looking confused, but lacking strength, the woman realizes she'll need more than just her hands and in an instant she too bears the colours the child does.
<Kit> 6Except draws her last gasp therein choking, the knife already reversed and in her chest, coughing as she struggles to keep standing, but falls over. The girl stares, the father doing the same, but dropping to his knees. On one hand, what he just did he was taught was the right thing by old family traditions he'd long thought laughable and untrue, on the other, he'd just stabbed his wife.
<Kit> 6Not long after letting out crazed noises and starting to sob, he jerks, a stabbing pain of his own. Given just enough time to turn and look upon his fallen wife, he finds the knife missing-- already in his back. The girl standing over the two draped over one another, no longer looking confused, but neither showing any care either.
<Kit> 6No word would be spoken, when such a time would come that the morning deliveries were maid by the housekeeper, and the authorities came to find the girl sitting against the wall near the two long dead, assuming she was trauma struck, the incident would be paved over as one of many violent crimes in the area. Unbeknownst to her family, the avenger was taken in by her grandparents...

<DeathStar> Stardate: More Than a Decade Before "Now"
<DeathStar> Location: An Earth Colony
<DeathStar> 6* A young girl with long black hair rushes through her family's strawberry field, trying to find a place to hide. She hides behind a few barrells; in the background, a building is on fire, and the screams of a woman can be heard, and the cries of a man - both in agony.
<DeathStar> 6* Covering her ears, the girl begins to cry, rocking back and forth as the smell of flesh drifts in the air moments laters, and the cries stop. Emerging from the building, a rock monster looks both ways, and begins to approach the girl's spot when an older boy by a few years swings a stick at the rock monster to distract it. The monster turns to face him
<DeathStar> 6* A moment later, the girl jerks when her brother's smashed body lands in front of her, his head caved, nothing but skull bits and brain matter, and blood oozes out from the corpse. The girl stares, not making a sound, not even when she heard him fighting, too afraid to give her position away
<DeathStar> 6* That fear saves her life, as the Ridiarium moves on, not hearing any noises from where the body landed and assuming no one is there. Not daring to move, the girl sits there as her brother's blood soaks into her clothing and gets on her; she doesn't even move when it begins to rain; it's a good 12 hours before she moves again, blindly running without direction

<DeathStar> Stardate: Almost Two Months Before "Now"
<DeathStar> Location: Cartel Lab
<DeathStar> 6* Present is only a scientist, and Odin; before them is a one way window, where Iceheart can be seen doing some basic training in a workout gym, kickboxing and other things. The scientist speaks to Odin
<DeathStar> <Scientist> Her body is in fine physical shape; I'd go as far to say she's even a year or two younger on a cellular level. She hasn't been in this great of a shape since she was 24. The serum clearly has had unintended, but good side effects. Which leads me to why I asked you here, sir
<Chad`Winters> <Odin> Because of the unintended side effects. It's not every day we're given a gift like this and if we're to utilize this properly I want to make sure nothing goes wrong.
<DeathStar> <Scientist> Well, not entirely sir. We only have enough vials for maybe 5 more. Iceheart hasn't demonstrated anymore powers to alter reality, either. As you know, the vials came from Vivi's blood, and there's no more of that. We've been working to create a synthesized version, but that could take years. But I have an idea to get more faster
<DeathStar> <Scientist> If we gave all 5 vials to Iceheart right away, it theortically could alter her body chemistry where her blood could provide us with the same result's as Vivi's. And then we'd have an unlimited supply, and quicker.
<Chad`Winters> <Odin> And that is? 6He eyes him with his usual cold expression.

<DeathStar> 6* Iceheart finishes a deal with some people, Freyja next to her. Due to their mental connection, they can now anticipate each other's thoughts and actions now. As she begins to finish, she pauses, spying a trader's datapad and the information about an Earth Colony
<DeathStar> 6* Without asking, she snatches it; the trader jerks ,going for his weapons, thinking Iceheart is trying to screw them out of money.
<Kit> 6Freyja holds out her hand, forming ice along his limbs, immobilizing him.
<Kit> <Freyja> That's not the case. Calm down.
<DeathStar> 6* The trader jerks, struggling. "What are you trying to pull?!"
<Kit> <Freyja> If I meant you harm I'd have used fire and immolated you, not ice and immobilized.
<DeathStar> 6* Iceheart begins to go through the data, her eyes narrowing. She begins to show a rare emotion - heated anger. "Where did you find this?" <Trader> I-I got it from my boss. He had his fingers in a lot of pies in the Ridiarium War.
<Kit> <Freyja> Ruby what's the mat--
<DeathStar> 6* Iceheart stares at the data. Freyja could see through Iceheart's mind that it's shipping records, indicating the Tsivrixsh were supplying the Ridiarium attacks on the colonies. The colony her family was butchered.
<DeathStar> 6* At that moment, something seems to snap, and Iceheart's focus shifts to a cold vengeance against the Ridiariums and Tsivrixsh, a feeling that tugs at Freyja, bringing out her older self as well

<DeathStar> 6* Iceheart finishes the missile, having put her own blood into it, as if running on autopilot. She was never aware of the extra vials she was given, but something on primitive instinct seems to drive her now. She touches it, altering the missile's reality to know the course to fly, then joins Freyja on the bridge
<Kit> <Freyja> Letting them off easy, aren't you?
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> My vegeance will be cold - they'll suffer generations as the ice cvoers their planet and makes their rock joints immobile
<DeathStar> <Iceheart> They'll be forgotten - like my family was during the war
<DeathStar> 6* Sitting down in her Captain's chair, she aims the ship toward Ridiarium Space, and hits the button, launching the missile. She watches it go. "And the second one, we'll use on the Tsivrixsh Empire itself."
<DeathStar> 6* Iceheart motions at Freyja, pulling her onto her lap. "Come, my pet. After we're done here, we'll work on reuniting you with your family."

<DeathStar> 6* Elwyn would awaken on a teleporter, and Iceheart stands over her, with Freyja behind her. "You're lucky, my beautiful daughter, that your mother detected you on that shuttle before I destroyed it.

<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr, Kellin, and Drasek are led into a room, separated from Athena. A military man sits down, barking out questions, which Zephyr uses Megumi to answer.
<Xanatos> 6* Kellin sits wide eyes at the yelling, not understanding what's going on. While Drasek crosses his arms eyeing the man. 1<Drasek> What's he sayin?
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr narrows her eyes. "Where did you take Athena?"
<Xanatos> <Kellin> YEAH!
<DeathStar> <Tsivrixsh General> We have put her in more accomodating quarters. She is a star on this planet, and will be treated as such. 6* A brief flashback to the concert shows Athena stepping on stage, and greeting the audience in tsivrixsh, then singing a Tsivrixsh song, catching the crowd off guard; at first it seemed as if they didn't want to be there, but seeing Athena's respect for their culture, quickly get into it and by the end

<Kit> <Megumi> Calm down, Kyun.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis peers at Jennifer, as if expecting an answer.
<Chad`Winters> <Loki> I am well aware of that. We're under the assumption her mind is being affected by a bioligical factor.
<DeathStar> <Ao> It's just a little bit of ice.. <Kyun> That will take months to get rid of
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos stands on the bridge with his arms crossed, watching Kyun. 1Obviously this is not a PAX related incident. Can't you bring our family back to us now?
<Jennifer> "I'm not sure, I was up here treating you, I can get Mr. Durran if you'd like."

<DeathStar> <Erevis> He said he had something to take care of --- but did not tell me what. 6* Her vitals begin to unstablize as she stresses
<DeathStar> <Kyun> I want access to the Cartel cloaking technology so we never have to worry about a sneak attack again. I'm sure the PAX has the records in it's computer systems, since you were firing at the ship before it decloaked. Instead of informing us there was a threat.

<Chad`Winters> <Loki> And what is the other request?
* Jennifer moves closer. "She was with the rest of the family, wasn't she? She should be just fine in Zephyr and Drasek's hands. Try to relax, I'll send for Xan and make sure 'Thena's alright." *she smiles reassuringly*
<DeathStar> <Kyun> I want access to the weapon that your agent used, so we can create proper counter measures in the future. My people tell me it's unlike anything they seen. I assure you, I want full disclosure into it, and what has made your agent 'crazy'.

<DeathStar> <Kyun> I will hold the PAX crew down here, and the ship will not be lalowed to leave or message out to others until you get that 'request approved'.
<Jennifer> "She's right, getting excited and sick won't help the situation, whatever it is."
<DeathStar> <Kyun> We will provide you with a line to the Cartel Homeworld to talk to your people.
<DeathStar> 6* Ao jerks. "We don't have the time to sit here. We need to warn Earth and get there now."
<Xanatos> <Xanatos> I fail to see how keeping our crew hostage has any relevance between you and the Cartel's problems.
<DeathStar> <Kyun> Because it will motivate you to motivate the Cartel to seek peace.
<Xanatos> 6* Carter steps into Erevis' room with a tray of tea. 1Tea?
<Kit> <Megumi> More than just 'agents' the two people aboard that ship were also personal friends of many of us, we wished to see as little become of this as possible. If we informed you, there was the risk of your people firing on them-- as experience shows they likely would. We would lose both diplomatic process and a chance tos ave our friends.

* Jennifer looks over at Carter and smiles gently. Grateful for the interruption as she watches Erevis' vitals and waits for Xan's response.
<Kit> <Megumi> And Kyun, I hope you realize your terms are just as harmful as they are helpful to your own people. In holding neutral parties, you are raising suspicion, and by tying our hands, you could be once again in conflict with Earth if we allow this situation to reach it as well.
<Chad`Winters> 6Loki eyes Ao then Kyun. 1"Even I'm not aware of the weapon she used and it may take time to figure out what it was, you should understand how these things go. But do let these actions stop the PAX from warning Earth about what our rogue agents are attempting.
<DeathStar> <Kyun> I wouldn't make unnecessary comments. Your ship was in the wrong in this. I respect your stance, Mrs. Zhenmei. But that stance has led to this disaster in the first place. If you want to prove the PAX is about peace, you will see to it the Cartel end their underhanded methods and simply come clean when they're in the wrong.

<Kit> <Megumi> These two are 'rogue,' Kyun. I am sure you are clear on the meaning of that word. Whether Loki can share information with you or not, they have no control over said agent.

<DeathStar> <Kyun> I am willing to wait on the weapon unitl after you detain the agent, but before I let you go, I want access to her information

<Xanatos> 6* Carter nods and pours a glass, handing one to Erevis as well as Isis.
<DeathStar> <Ao> ... 6* She murmurs. "He seems hellbent on getting her file. Why?"
<Chad`Winters> <Loki> Are you referring to the cloaking technology?
<Xanatos> <Xanatos> I want Athena. Even if it means coming down there and beign with her myself.
<Kit> <Megumi> Because his people are warlike, probably." 6She muses, not hiding her words from Kyun.
<Kit> <Megumi> Warlike people are almost instinctively obsessed with power. It is why I would not let the earthlings have true access to Dark Matter or its energy derivitives.

<Kit> <Megumi> Xanatos, you are staying here.
<Chad`Winters> <Loki> If you would like, I could have the Cartel homeworld relay the information to Earth.
<Xanatos> <Xanatos> No, I'm not. And you can't make me. 6He presses the hanger button.
<DeathStar> 6* Isis and Erevis take it. Isis looks worried, and Erevis seems to pick up on it. <Erevis> What do you know, Little Kitten?
<Kit> 6Megumi tilts her head. 1"I may have been useless alone, but if anyone else is going planetside, then at this present time I am the most useful."

<DeathStar> 6* Ao pauses, then reaches over, locking the hanger down.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos pauses and sneers, then clicks his comm. 1Unlock this goddamn hangar right now.

<Kit> <Megumi> It also creates another scenario that worsens beloved's state.
<Xanatos> <Carter> I'm sure she simply worried just as you do. At the unknown.

<Chad`Winters> 6Loki steps into the conference room and begins to talk to someone in the Cartel who transfers it to another and then another.
<Kit> <Megumi> If someone shoots this ship, even its own security officer, is that not the logical response?
<DeathStar> <Ao> You want to give Erevis a heart attack?!
<Kit> <Megumi> I did not say kill him.
<Xanatos> 6* Xanatos clicks the comm on the shuttle. 1That is your daughter down there Megumi. I know Zephyr and Drasek are there, but don't you think at least ONE of her parents should be there with her? YOU need to help run the ship and Erevis isn't in any state to go. SO that leaves only me. Now let me go.

<Kit> <Megumi> You are the security officer, Durran. If anyone should be here it is you. I am merely a temp for beloved. And if I go, we have the benefit of a dragoon.

* Tabetha blinks a little and tilts her head. "Wh-What was that?"

* Tabetha blinks and puts her hand up like a paw and pumps it. "...Rewr?"

* Tabetha blinks and tries again. "RAWR"
<DeathStar> 6* Athena nods. "Now Dias and X will have great dinner."
* Tabetha smiles happily and hugs Athena. "Thank you for all your help. I desire to see Mr. Dias happy, he is my friend."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias steps off the teleporter, a slight nervous look on his face and dressed in nicer set of clothing.
<Tabetha> * Tabetha leans over and whispers, "A-Am I dressed appropriately for this social engagement?"

<DeathStar> 6* Athena grabs Tabetha, drags her in the bac, then drags her back out in a waitress outfit, pushing her toward Dias. "Go over menu with Dias."
<Tabetha> "O-Okay!" *she blushes and moves on out over to Dias in the cute waitress outfit*
<DeathStar> 6* Athena doodles a chart for Tabetha for each course and the alternates in case X rejects any of them, forming a pyramid of food she can pick from in the back to serve
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias rubs the back of his neck as he looks at Tabetha. 1"H-Hi."
<Tabetha> * Tabetha smiles cheerfully and pulls up the menu, holding it out. "I have to go over the menu with you!"
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> O-Ok. 6He looks at the menu
* Tabetha leans over and shows him the various options. "We'll serve things in... I think they're called courses, I think."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias stares at them all a slightly confused look on his face.
* Tabetha starts to describe what they are in simpler terms, looking happy as she does, she stops a moment and fixes the uniform.
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> T-There's alot t-to choose from.
* Tabetha nods and thinks, "Would you just like me to serve you whatever X wants to have?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> Isn't that h-how its n-normally done?
<Tabetha> "I... I don't know. I've... never been on a date before." *she blushes* "I will enjoy observing."
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> I r-remember I h-have b-before, b-but not one l-like this.
<DeathStar> 6* Athena moves to the karaoke, and tests the mic with some merowls
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias peers at Athena then looks back at Tabetha. 1"I'm n-nervous I'll screw up."
* Tabetha giggles and pats his head. "Just do what I do... since I always do, just assume you will and don't worry about it. Can always learn!"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias nods and he rubs his hands together a bit.
* Tabetha smiles more and stands up. "Would you like a drink while we wait for Ms. X?" *she looks down* "Does this uniform look okay? I don't think it is regulation."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias looks at her uniform. 1"It l-looks good." 6He nods then shakes his head. 1"N-No, I'll j-just w-wait for her."
* Tabetha nods and moves over to Athena, giggling. "Was that good?"
<DeathStar> 6* Athena nods. "Should make customer feel relaxed before date. Here, should sing a tune while we wait to keep Dias happy
<DeathStar> 6* she hands Tab the mic
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias shifts to sit a stool as he waits
* Tabetha blinks and looks at it, she nods a little, looking to Athena for what to do.
<DeathStar> 6* Athena picks a song, and turns Tab's head to the lyrics, ten thumbs up, bounding over to watch
* Tabetha blushes and looks nervous, stumbling the first couple lines, before slowly getting into it, she appears to have stage fright.
<DeathStar> 6* Athena claps and rawrs her on.
<DeathStar> <Athena> Tabetha good!
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias looks at Athena then at Tabetha and claps along
* Tabetha looks all the more timid, but manages out the words clearly, starting to get into it with the encouragement.
<DeathStar> 6* Athena applauds once it's done.
* Tabetha blushes and looks up, taking a moment to register that it is, she looks at Athena and hides her face.
<DeathStar> 6* Athena bounds over and nuzzles her face so she can't. "Tab good. Sing another?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> Y-Yeah, please s-sing again
* Tabetha looks at her shyly and then nods when Dias asks. "O-Okay... pick one for me?"
<DeathStar> 6* Athena looks, then picks one called "Superhero"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias scratches the back of head then moves over and just randomally hits one
* Tabetha blinks, as she starts to sing along with it... well, one of them!
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias listens again.
* Tabetha looks shy, not knowing to dance or anything, she follows the words.
<DeathStar> 6* Athena bops to it, then pauses when X enters, staring
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias looks at Athena, then follows her gaze, seeing X. He quickly shifts to stand up and moves over to her. 1"H-Hey X."
* Tabetha doesn't notice, too caught up in the words.
<DeathStar> 6* Athena merowls, shifting to grab Tab. "Time to serve." 6* She shuts the karaoke down, then begins to sing a romantic tune
<DeathStar> <X> ... 6* She eyes Dias, then the other two.
* Tabetha eeps and nods, she moves over to X and Dias, folding her hands together in front of her. "C-Can I get you two something to drink?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> I-I'll just h-have some w-water. 6He looks to X
<DeathStar> <X> Something with a kick, but fruity.
<DeathStar> 6* X sits down, eyeing the candles, then the singing cat, then Dias. "What...is this?"
<Tabetha> "O-Okay!" *she bows and moves over to the bar, she looks around and gets the glass of water, then eyes the bottles of liquor*
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias sits down across from her. 1"A-A special d-date. I w-wanted t-to make up f-for b-before and w-we haven't s-seen each o-other in so l-long."
<DeathStar> 6* X pauses, nodding as she peers down, her expression softening. "So you came up with this...?"
* Tabetha selects one that has a fruity looking symbol on it. She then takes both to the table and sets them down.
<DeathStar> 6* X eyes it, sniffs. "Something without alcohol."
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> Athena d-did.
<DeathStar> <X> Oh. 6* She eyes the singing cat, then Dias. "I thought you'd bribe them or something."
<Tabetha> "Oh, okay!" *she giggles and takes X's back, she looks around for some sort of fruit juice*
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias shakes his head. 1"T-They're doing i-it b-because they're g-good friends." 6He looks at Athena then back at X. 1"A-Are you m-mad that I d-didn't?"
* Tabetha comes back with a glass of juice.
<DeathStar> <X> No. It's just what you typically do. I guess that .. .head injury changed you a lot more than I realized
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias frowns, looking down at the table. 1"I-Is that b-bad?"
<DeathStar> 6* X shrugs
* Tabetha smiles, "Would you like to start with a snack? I-I mean... appetizer?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias looks up at Tabetha then over at X.
<DeathStar> <X> Eh. Fine.
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> W-What d-do you want?
<DeathStar> <X> What do the---aren't you a military officer?
<DeathStar> 6* She eyes Tab
* Tabetha blinks and nods. "Yes Ms. X."
<DeathStar> <X> ... 6* She eyes the outfit now, deadpanning, then Tab.
<DeathStar> <X> ... what is there to eat?
* Tabetha blinks and looks at Athena's note. "U-Umm..."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias scratches the side of his head then look at Tab. 1"T-The menu?"
<DeathStar> 6* X stares at her, then grabs the note, eyeing it, then just points at every item down the list she wants
* Tabetha looks relieved as X does that. "Th-Thank you Ms. X. W-We'll get it out soon!"
* Tabetha bows politely and waves Athena to the back.
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> A-And I'll h-have...6He eyes the note, making a concetrated face as he thinks deeply on it then starts pointing at things
<DeathStar> 6* Athena starts another song, swaying to it. She points at the back where all the food is ready to be delivered by Tab.
* Tabetha pauses and looks at what he points and nods, then nods to Athena and rushes into the back to get it all.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dias takes a drink of his water then looks at her. 1"D-Do you l-like this?" 6He motions to the dinner set up
<DeathStar> <X> It's different. ... nicer than anything I've had in the last 8 months...
* Tabetha comes back out with a plate for each, setting them down with precision. "Dinner is served!"
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> I c-can do this m-more often if you e-enjoy it.
<DeathStar> <X> Hmph; then it wouldn't be special. Normal dinner is fine, too
<DeathStar> <X> Though this is ... nice. Occassionally
<DeathStar> 6* X eyes the food and tastes it, grunting as she can't complain
* Tabetha bows and moves away to give them privacy, she sits near Athena, then watches, taking out a pad to take notes with.
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> O-Ok. 6He gives her a smile as he starts to eat. 1"I f-figured afterwards I c-could give you a massage or a-anything else y-you wanted."
<DeathStar> 6* X blinks. "Okay..." 6* She seems surprised, then eyes Tabetha taking notes. "What...is she doing?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> S-She's l-learning from us.
* Tabetha looks down and busies herself looking at Athena, as though attempting horribly to be covert.
<DeathStar> <X> She's weird
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> M-Maybe b-but she's a nice p-person.
* Tabetha licks her lip a moment and writes down something about conversation being part of a date.
<Chad`Winters> <Dias> H-Hows the food?
<DeathStar> <X> It's good, surprising.
