<DeathStar> 6* Thomas stands outside the land bridge with Kaelan, peering toward the ruins of an ancient building. Suddenly, the area begins to tremble, the epicenter coming from the ruins
<Kaelan> "Wh-What is that shaking...? Are they alright...?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I do not know
<Kaelan> "They might need our help." *she puts her hand on his arm*
<DeathStar> 6* Kaelan would continue to feel the ground shake and hear the sound of a loud boom from the epicenter.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> You are blind. If you go across the bridge where things look as if they're falling apart, you would be more hinderence than help.
* Kaelan turns her head about, gasping. "That doesn't sound good. And... I suppose you're right..."
<DeathStar> 6* Kaelan would hear things impacting against harder things and more shaking
<DeathStar> <Thomas> By the gods... 6* He mumbles to her left
<Kaelan> "What is it? What was that? It sounds like something's hitting something else hard..."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> ... a giant monster... is rising from the depths
* Kaelan clings to his arm, she hates feeling this helpless. "They're in trouble Thomas!"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I am aware. 6* He notes grimly as the shaking continues.
* Kaelan holds onto him to keep steady as the ground shakes. "What... what do we do?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I don't think praying would do them much good, considering...
<DeathStar> -SCENE SHIFT-
<Zeal> <Zeal> Is it Amazo again!?
<DeathStar> 6* The giant monster pulls itself up, it's ore like body white and black, and it's yellow eyes glowing as it peers at Dahok, and it opens it's mouth to make an unearthly noise.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok stumbles back as he holds onto Rachael. 1"Oh that is just all worlds of rancid smelling...
<Zeal> <Zeal> ...Smells like rock.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean weakly lays beside Zeal, staring at it as it approaches Dahok, a clang sound with each step
<Zeal> What do we do!?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I don't know. Hit it in it's eyes! 6He glances back quickly to see how much room he has to go
* Zeal makes a face and launches an arrow for one of the eyes. They're glowing after all. Ha ha ha.
<Zeal> Ahead of you...
<DeathStar> 6* The arrow hits it - and smashes it on itself as if it hit strong ore
<Zeal> Ha, no such luck.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well that sure as hell didn't work. 6He tries to study the ground ground for weak spots
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok and Zeal still have a good bit of moving room in the circular area, which is only 1/4th gone at this point; the exit is still in tact
<Zeal> Sorry, my friends, but it does not matter how accurate I am. I am useless in this case!
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Head for the way back!
* Zeal kneels to try and support Jean. 1"We must flee, lady Al'ryl!"
<DeathStar> 6* The ground itself seems weakened as pieces of rock cavern fall in, though pieces that hit the monster break apart
<DeathStar> 6* Jean nods weakly, holding the crystal weakly, peering at the monster.
<DeathStar> 6* It lifts it's arms at Dahok and unleashes a wave of fire magic from the tube
<Zeal> Magic?!
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok leaps and slides to the side with Rachael, keeping his back towards the ore monster
<DeathStar> 6* Jean seems to be drifting in and out of conscious as she eyes the monster. "We must---beat it..." 6* She murmurs, half mumbling
<DeathStar> 6* The monster's head turns to follow Dahok as he slides near the exit.
<DeathStar> 6* The exit leads back to the hallways and then to the bridge
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok grunts loudly as he pushes himself up. 1"Come on Rachael. Wake up!"
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael remains unconscious, blood trickling from all the black spots on her body
<Zeal> Angel, is that you? And just what would you suggest?" 6She gestures to the golem in disdain
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I think if we can get it to a weakened floor it could fall through and get stuck
<DeathStar> 6* The monster begins to stomp clang towards Dahok
<DeathStar> 6* Jean leans her head against Zeal's breasts, mumbling about softness, and Soma licks her face
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Damn't. I can do much with Rachael like this. 6He begins to arc move in an arc away from the monster, doing his best to keep his distance
<DeathStar> 6* The monster aims at Dahok, and conincidently the exit since Dahok is near it, and begins to make noises
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> OVER HERE YA GIANT THING OF ORE!
<DeathStar> 6* It pauses, then lets it's arm follow Dahok, away from pointing at the exit nwo since Dahok is arcing from it
* Zeal winces, then shakes her head and starts to lead Jean toward the exit.
<DeathStar> 6* The monster unleashes it's fire as Dahok and Zeal near each other
<DeathStar> 6* Due to it's height, there's a 2 foot space on the ground it doesn't touch
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pivots his foot and he kicks off to leap forward again, landing on his back so Rachaels ontop of him
* Zeal stops suddenly, pulling Jean back with her eyes widened
<DeathStar> 6* The creature keeps moving it's arm toward Zeal, the flames not stopping.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> ZEAL GET HER OUT OF THERE!
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael groans on top of Dahok
<Zeal> You are noisey!
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glances down quickly. 1"Rachael, are you awake?
* Zeal keeps tugging on Jean, sighing in strain. 1"It might be best if the angel awoke after all..!"
<DeathStar> 6* The monster keeps it's flame throwing going and begins t ocatch up to Zeal as she backpedals.
<DeathStar> 6* Ironically the flames go right over Dahok and Rachael
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok tenses a bit as the heat from it flashes over his body
<Zeal> Lady Al'ryl, you must move... a little faster!
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael remains unconscious, wincing in her state as the flames go over them
<DeathStar> 6* Jean remains out of it, it seems, and doesn't even react when the flames begin to touch her and Zeal
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> DROP LOW!
* Zeal does so, at the same time taking a breath and calls on her own wind magic as a barrier.
<DeathStar> 6* The flames go over them. The monster's flames stop, then it aims down
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes go wide and he pushes himself up and picks up Rachael and starts moving the opposite way of Zeal now
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok begins to head back toward the exit
<Zeal> 6Zeal shifts, launching an arrow toward the source of the flames.
<DeathStar> 6* The arrow enters the tube, and a moment later a wave of flame unleashes against her barrier, quickly deteroriating it; Zeal would feel no heat right now
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok quickly moves towards the exit. 1"THOMAS!"
<Zeal> Damn it.." 6She tugs on Jean and tries to get them moving again
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok's voice probably doesn't reach Dahok, considering he has to go through the ruined hallways
<DeathStar> 6* Zeal's shield barrier drops as she begins to move again, and she'd feel the heat. The monster begins to follow after her, stomping and clanking
<Zeal> Sir Fyro! Get Jean!" 6She stoops to more 'gently' let go of Jean, then makes a break to the left away from her, turning to loose another arrow, aiming feintly for the other eye
<DeathStar> 6* Jean falls over
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves for the exit and slides to a stop, setting Rachael down
<DeathStar> 6* The monster aims at Jean
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok takes several breathes and he moves back to the center room. 1"HEY YA UGLY BAD MINERAL MADE UP THING!
<DeathStar> 6* The monster shifts it's head at Dahok
<DeathStar> 6* Then opens it's mouth and a white beam of light shoots out at him
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok goes wide eyed and he leaps to the side to try and dodge it
<DeathStar> 6* The beam hits the ground and blows a hole, causing the unstable area to crack apart more, a gaping hole now blocking the path to the exit
<DeathStar> 6* The eixt to the hallways
<DeathStar> 6* The hole's size is about 4 feet
<DeathStar> 6* The area crumbles again and more parts collapsing, leaving the manuevering room even less than before as one half of the room opposite of the exit collapses
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well that sucks a bit. 6He takes several more breathes and starts moving towards the beat it self
<Zeal> It pays more heed to you, than I.
<DeathStar> 6* The monster focuses on Jean and stomps toward her
* Zeal moves back toward Jean's locale but more toward the monster to intercept
<DeathStar> 6* The monster keeps moving, aiming to run over Zeal if needbe
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves towards it's back side now as he looks for more weak spots in the floor
<DeathStar> 6* The entire floor is weak and ready to go at any time. They probably only have a matter of moments left before the entire circular area goes
* Zeal shifts around the foot and turns her hatchet over, using the hammerhead to smash into the side of its 'ankle' 'knee' whatever height she is.
<DeathStar> 6* Zeal's weapon actually dents a bit as she hits it
<Zeal> The only option is the bridge, sir Fyro.
<DeathStar> 6* The monster leans over and grabs Jean with it's hand, lifting her up
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> GRAB JEAN AND RUN AS HARD AND AS FAST AS YOU CAN FOR THE EXIT! 6He turns as he takes a deep breath and starts sprinting for the exit, kicking off to try and leap over the four foot gap
<Zeal> It was too late for that before you spoke.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok jerks, and slides a bit, stumbling
<DeathStar> 6* The monster turns, opening it's mouth again to aim at Zeal
* Zeal moves to leep between its legs and look for a way to climb it.
<DeathStar> 6* The monster's legs seem climbable, with little knooks and edges to it's surface. The monster shifts it's foot up to try to step on Zeal, beginning to close it's mouth
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok grabs his half staffs and twists them together.
* Zeal leaps upward to grab part of it as its raising-- to do some of the lifting for her.
<DeathStar> 6* As they fight, they begin to feel weaker and more disoriented, their vision blurring
<Zeal> Get them out of here you lout!
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok stumbles a bit, his hand going ot his head
<DeathStar> 6* The monster stomps it's foot on the floor, enough to shake Zeal about. The ground begins to break up now
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> IT'S GOT HER!
* Zeal braces herself when she feels downward momentum-- and after it hits, returns to trying to get upward. 1"It does not have Rachael!"
<DeathStar> 6* The monster peers down as the ground begins to breka, then shifts and runs forward for the exit, leaping over the hole it made and landing near Rachael, possiblely crushing her, then runs through the hallway; the impacts knock Zeal off back next to Dahok
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shakes his head at Zeal since Rachaels in the hallway. He slaps his face and tries to focus on a way to get Jean free
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok quickly grabs her and pulls her up.
<DeathStar> 6* As Zeal lands by Dahok, the circular area begins to collapse now
<DeathStar> 6* The ground under them breaking apart
<Zeal> Th-- hell. That thing... can run..!?" 6She scrambles with Dahok's help. 1"Run indeed!"
* Chad`Winters then turns and runs for the gap. He slams his staff down to vault himself across the gap
* Zeal sprints with abandon
<Chad`Winters> NRP: Dahok
<DeathStar> 6* Zeal sprints forward - for a hole
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok lands on the other side
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok land and he turns throwing his hand out towards Zeal
* Zeal runs as fast as she can, then slides, crouching low and hurtles herself forward, reaching out.
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok grabs Zeal just as the circular area collapses and the floor under them begins to weaken now
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok yells out loudly as he pulls her.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok turns to look for Rachael
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael is laying off to the side, some rock on her as things shake apart.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok quickly moves to her and tries to shove the rock off
<DeathStar> 6* IT seems to be too heavy for just him alone
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> ZEAL HELP!
* Zeal shoves herself up and crawls over to do so, sighing
<DeathStar> -SCENE SHIFT-
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas stares as the monster exits the building and begins to cross the bridge. "The monster has the angel."
<Kaelan> "Wh-What!? No!" *she looks ready to sprint forward in sudden startlement*
<DeathStar> <Thomas> There's nothing we can do! It's at least four times our size and the entire area is breaking apart.
<Kaelan> "Wait... where is it heading?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Toward us
<Kaelan> "...And the ground looked unstable?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Everything looks unstable; this entire mountain is likely coming down
<DeathStar> 6* He wheezes, and as Kaelan talks, she'd feel lightheaded
* Kaelan shakes her head a little. "And we're not going to make it running... at this point..."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Do you have a plan, then?
<Kaelan> "Yes... lead it this way."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas goes quiet. "You want to lead it to us?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> That won't be a problem, it's already crossing the bridge in our direction
<Kaelan> "The ground before us is weak, two people would make it collapse... what do you think that monster will experience?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> IT seems to be crossing the bridge without difficulty, Kaelan
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Unless you are suggesting meeting it on the bridge.
<Kaelan> "We'd have to be sure we don't fall with it... and Jean."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> There is no certanity.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It's almost across now
<Kaelan> "We need to get Jean from it somehow. We should move though... if it's that close."
<DeathStar> 6* Kaelan can hear a clank thump sound approaching
<Kaelan> "We need to save her Thomas... are you with me?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I don't see what I can do against it, honestly.
<Kaelan> "Me either." *she made a funny* "If we could get it to drop Jean somehow..."
<DeathStar> 6* The clanging is almost upon them. As they talk, it seems their plan is about to be moot
<Kaelan> "Move to where the bridge starts... and be ready to run away."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas moves, but it's hard to tell if he's going toward it or not, with all the noise
<Kaelan> "We need to get it to attack the ground under it."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It's already taken notice of us. 6* He can be heard saying to her left.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> And it is not stopping. It's about to run us over.
* Kaelan cries out. "YOU THERE!"
<DeathStar> 6* The clanging noise gets louder and something hits Kaelan like a steel bar, knocking her back
* Kaelan cries out and goes flying back.
<DeathStar> 6* Then Kaelan would feel no ground under her and she begins to fall
* Kaelan reaches out wildly trying to grab onto to something.
<DeathStar> -SCENE SHIFT-
<DeathStar> 6* Zeal and Dahok manage to get the rock off of Rachael, who looks worse off. Their vision continues to blur
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok rubs his eyes as he pulls her up with his free hand. 1"Just start moving now!"
<Chad`Winters> 6He shifts her over his back and starts moving down the hallway
<Zeal> Right... But... getting difficulty just... to see.
* Zeal tries to help, rubbing her eyes with her other hand.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I didn't think blurry vision could stop a templar.
<Zeal> Heh. Even now you... try my patience... fisherman..
<DeathStar> 6* As they move down the hallway, they'd reach the exit, just in time to see Kaelan standing there dramatically and going "YOU THERE" before the monster hits her with it's foot and knocks her back and over the side of the bridge, where she begins to fall. Thomas can be seen trying to climb it's others leg
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> ZEAL GET HER!
<DeathStar> 6* Above the bridge, a rock can be seen looking ready to break
<Zeal> Get her.. Kael?! Get her how!?
<DeathStar> 6* Kaelan can be seen grabbing a rock 6 feet down, swaying
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> RUN! 6He let's out a yell and sprints as hard as he can as he carries Rachael,
<DeathStar> 6* The monster grabs Thomas and tosses him over the bridge
* Zeal makes a face, moving forward but hardly seeing the point right now.
<DeathStar> 6* The monster begins to step off the bridge
<DeathStar> 6* As Zeal and Dahok run, they're only half-way across. It seems if they want to stop the monster with a the bridge tactic, they'll go down with it
* Zeal just wants to survive at this point-- trying to get a bead on Kael and Thomas as they scurry.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas seems to have fallen into the chasm.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok keep sprinting, his one hand holding his staff backwards towards Zeal.
<Zeal> What?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Use it to pull Kaelen up when we get across!
<DeathStar> 6* The monster exits the bridge and begins to head into the mines.
<DeathStar> 6* A moment later, Dahok and Zeal reach the other side
* Zeal takes it, a bit disheartened not seeing Thomas, but rushes to find footholds and lean the staff over to Kaelan. 1"Kael! Reach for it!"
<DeathStar> 6* As the monster smashes it way into the mines, the mountain shakes more and the exit to the mines collapsing and being blocked; behind them, the center ruins collapses completely into the chasm
* Kaelan reaches up, groping about, then takes hold of it. "G-Got it!"
<DeathStar> 6* After that, the shaking stops finally
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves to the other side. 1"Son of a gun."
<Zeal> Gun?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I don't know! I'm just flustered!
<Zeal> Is that your people?
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok said "Bitch" clearly
<Kaelan> "D-Do I climb...?"
* Zeal sighs trying to pull her up. 1"It would help!"
<DeathStar> 6* If Zeal is glancing down, she'd see a path in the side of the rock under Kaelan
<DeathStar> 6* If she fell, he'd have just landed on said path, that seems to go into the chasm
<DeathStar> *she'd
<Zeal> ...There is a path under you. Tch.
<Kaelan> "...There is?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> The way out is blocked.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael's eyes stir, then she screams out, her voice a wild like an animal's. "VALEN!!!"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok howls in pain at the yelling
<DeathStar> 6* Her eyes snap open and she seems literally insane. She hits Dahok aside and runs back for the bridge
<Zeal> Rachael! Not now!
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok let's out a sound of pain as he stumbles back from it
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael ignores Zeal, looking quite mad as she hurries across the bridge toward the gaping hole, looking like she plans to throw herself over
<Kaelan> "Wh-what...? Valen? What's wrong with Valen?"
<Zeal> Disintegrated.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> GRAB HER ZEAL!
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok sprints after her to try and grab her
<Kaelan> "Dis... what?" *she sits on the ledge after getting to safety*
<Zeal> Disappeared.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael's speed seems to be greater than Dahok's and she reaches the edge before he's even gotten half-way to her; she pauses to peer down into the hole, her eyes wild. Then she shifts back, preparing to leap
<Kaelan> "Well we'll have to look for him then."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> He's dead Rachael!
<Zeal> Not that simple, I am afraid.
<Kaelan> "...Dead?"
<Kaelan> "But... why'd you say... he's dead...?"
<DeathStar> 6* At hearing 'dead', Rachael twitches more, and leaps off
* Kaelan shakes a bit. "Where's Thomas? Is he alright? Thomas?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok leaps forward to slide along what's left of the bridge, his hand reaches out to grab onto Rachael
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok goes sliding right off the bridge, too, grabbing Rachael with one hand as he begins to fall, too
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok grabs onto the edge with his other hand as he starts to go over
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Letmego!!! 6* She practically howls, struggling and looking like she might take Dahok with her.
<DeathStar> 6* Kaelan can hear Rachael's voice echoing from far away in the cavern
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok swings around as he struggles to hang on. 1"And then what? You die alongside Valen? You think he'd want that?!"
<Kaelan> "Rachael sounds sad... where's she going?"
<Zeal> Trying to end her life.
* Kaelan picks herself up slowly. "...And we're not stopping her!? Lead me to her!"
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Valen's dead! My...brother's dead. 6* She says, practically out of her mind.
* Zeal looks over where the golem went studying the rubble, then peers down at the path.
<Zeal> Kael, be reasonable." 6She rises, rubbing her face.
<Kaelan> "How is ignoring her reasonable?" *she starts crawling to feel the ground ahead of her to get back to the bridge*
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> And I'm sorry for that Rachael, I truely am. But throwing your life away does change things.
<Chad`Winters> NRP: Does not
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Let me go...you don't understand. Just...let me go. 6* She says, her hand grabbing at her sword. If anyone could be said to be the definition of mad, Rachael would fit it. As if something's snapped
* Zeal frowns and walks over, grabbing Kael's hand and yanking her up, leading her since it can't be helped.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Rachael...6He glances down as he slips a bit. He shifts his feet a bit to get ready to keep her sword from cutting his arm off. 1"Then explain it to me."
<DeathStar> 6* Kaelan would reach Dahok
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael takes her sword out, bringing it up to her other arm that Dahok has gripped, as if having no intention of removing Dahok's.
* Kaelan listens as they get closer, frowning. She kneels down slowly, reaching out to grab hold of Dahok's arm. "Rachael... stop."
<Zeal> Rachael, please.
<Kaelan> "Do you believe Valen would want you to die because he's gone? Do you think that would make him happy?"
* Zeal kneels, peering down at her, eyes downcast but face set, neutral; practiced.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok starts growling as he tries to pull her up, his feet shifting along her arm, cleary poised to kick the sword away
<DeathStar> <Rachael> ... 6* She swings the sword at her arm, though Dahok's feet would kick it away easily. Once she watches it go flying into the chasm, she seems to lose her fight, and goes limp like a doll, her eyes losing even the insanity to be replaced with a broken look
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok jerks as his good hand slips a bit again. 1"Some help here...Or you two just going to stand there while we both fall?"
* Kaelan tilts her head slowly, then starts trying to help pull Dahok up. Her hand was already holding his arm.
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok's strength alone won't be enough
<DeathStar> *Kaelan's
<Kaelan> "Zeal, help!"
<DeathStar> 6* As Kaelan struggles, she'd feel something unlock in her - magic.
* Kaelan takes in a sharp breath in surprise, gripping Dahok's arm a little tighter.
<DeathStar> 6* As Dahok swings, Kaelan would have another option, and that would be to try to shimmy backwards with him to get him up
<Zeal> Rachael I need your help." 6She takes Kaelan's ankles, pulling.
<DeathStar> 6* As Zeal pulls Kaelan's ankles, they'd slowly lift Dahok up onto the ledge
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts his arm up then his waist he starts growling as he tries to lift Rachael uip
* Kaelan eeps a bit but pulls hard, "Come on... we c-can do this."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Grab her.
* Kaelan tries to grab at Rachael with her other arm.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael is slwoly lifted up; her dark hair is a wild mess, whatever she puts it in looking like it's seen better days. Though her wounds with the black objects in it bleed, and she's showing some signs of rashes, compared to the other three, who having open sores now, RAchael lacks them
<DeathStar> 6* Apparantly people from Mintas get sick slower
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok starts panting now as he lays there.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael curls in on herself as she lays there, like a child, peering at the abyss with a blank look
<Zeal> I.. need your help Rachael. Sir Lankin was protecting lady Al'ryl-- that... thing. It took her.
<Zeal> I cannot get her back alone.
* Kaelan moves around, she sits next to Rachael and puts her head in her lap.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It seems we have two ways to go. Either try to magic our way out or take the path that was below Kaelan
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael doesn't respond to Zeal, or even Kaelan as she moves her. It would seem that Rachael will be a hinderence to them instead of a help

* Zeal takes a breath. 1"...One. Thank heavens." 6She moves to look back into the chasm. 1"Sir Thomas?!"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Yes. I think I injured my leg. 6* His voice echos up. "There appears to be another layer to the ruins down here."

<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Zeal lead Kaelan down the pathway you found.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves and grunts as he picks Kaelan up.
<Zeal> It would take longer to lead her than to go myself.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> We're all heading that way. 6He eyes her and moves for the chasm.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> There may be an exit down here, too. There's a river; surely it leads out

<Kaelan> "I believe we have another complication to what lays ahead as well..." *she puts her hand on Zeal's shoulder*
<DeathStar> 6* As Kaelan touches Zeal, Zeal would feel pain
* Zeal rubs her temples, twitching. She looks to Rachael, then cries slightly, yanking away from Kaelan
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok slides his staff behind his back then shifts Rachael over it. He shifts over to the edge and sits down, then carefully makes his way down to it
<Kaelan> "Zeal...?"

<DeathStar> 6* Dahok would feel pain from RAchael
<Chad`Winters> 6He fights through it

<DeathStar> 6* The path is narrow, only allowing one person to move down it width wise

<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok takes several breathes and he starts moving down it, keeping Rachael on his back.
<DeathStar> 6* As Dahok travels downward, he's spot Thomas after a bit as the path widens, laying on his side with his leg bent awkwardly. Further past Thomas, he can see the bottom of the chasm where the ruins had fallen, in the middle of a river; the pieces of it float about, and off to the side seems to be a large chamber in the mountain wall

* Zeal moves and looks after Dahok, then leaps down, peering up. 1"Come, Kael."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves over to him. 1"That doesn't look good.
<Kaelan> "Where?" *she seems confused*
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It appears safe. Nothing has come from it. There may be clues inside to beating the monster. I shold warn that... I have felt sicker since coming down here
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I'm not feeling much better. 6He holds out a hand then pauses taking a breath then nod sto him.
<Zeal> TO MY DAMN VOICE!
* Zeal breathes rasply, losing her patience.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas nods, touching his head and eyes some hair fall out
<Kaelan> "You're... lower now... I think... it echoes in here." *she moves over slowly, crawling to where she leapt off*
<DeathStar> 6* KAelan crawls over the edge and falls toward Zeal
* Kaelan screams in surprise.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It'll grow back. 6He gives him a smile and he shifts to keep him up. 1"We shoul..." 6He looks back. 1"That was Kaelen."
* Zeal tries to catch her, expecting the pain from earlier, but steadies her.
<DeathStar> 6* Zeal catches her easily from the drop, and indeed, it hurts
<DeathStar> 6* The ledge cracks and breaks and the two fall past Dahok and Thomas into the water
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas blinks as the two fall safely nito the water
* Kaelan goes red and clutches onto her in panic. "Wh-Where are we!?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Lucky...6He lets out a sigh of relief
<DeathStar> 6* Soma mewls in panic as Kaelan clutches and he scrambles away into the water, then begins to mewl in fear
<DeathStar> 6* The tigoar splashes about in the water and begins to sink
* Kaelan blinks and collects herself, reaching out and grabbing at the mewling splashing thing.

* Zeal growls and smacks Kaelan, partially on accident, partially on purpose, then shoves her toward where she grab ground, then moves to get Soma herself, since she can surprisingly-- swim
* Kaelan cries out since the slap hurts more then usual and grabs onto the ledge, holding Zeal's kitty, she seems on the verge of tears.
<DeathStar> 6* Since the river is barely moving, Zeal would have no trouble moving through it.

<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok onds and he sets her down then moves towards the girls and grabs onto Kaelen and starts pulling out her
<DeathStar> 6* Soma clings to Zeal's face and shoulder area with claws, hanging on
* Kaelan climsb out of the water with Dahok's help, all wet.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Zeal, grab my hand. 6He shifts to pull her out now
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas checks Rachael over, examining her
* Zeal winces sharply, treading the short distance to shore herself. 1"Ss... oma..." 6She hisses again, pulling herself out.
<DeathStar> 6* Soma remains clawed in, looking afraid; something he didn't even do during the monster fight
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pants now, taking a momen to catch his breath. He groans as he stands up and starts moving towards Thomas. 1"You said it came from that cavern?"
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas peers up from examining Rachael's head, a strange expression, then he pauses, blinking. "Most likely. The size can't be coincidence."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Then I'm going in. 6He starts moving to it
* Kaelan starts moving after Dahok's voice.
* Zeal reaches up, trying to stroke Soma slowly. 1"... Soma... what's wrong?"
<DeathStar> 6* Soma shakes himself off after Zeal toucehs him and scrambles back into Zeal's breasts where it's safe, eyeing the water in fear
<Zeal> Hm... hates water.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves into the cavern and peers around
<Zeal> Sir Fyro... do not be foolish. Do not go alone.
<DeathStar> 6* As Dahok approaches the glowing cavern, he'd feel more ill. Inside he'd see gray objects lined along the wall, with worm like things extending from tem into the river. The objects hum weird tone that hurt the ears, and flash strange lights. They circle the cavern wall, and at the center, a gray circular object is on the floor, with a gauntlet on a pedastel nera it

* Kaelan makes a noise as she gets close herself, since she was following him. "D-Dahok... it's bad here..." *she slows*
<DeathStar> 6* Soma mewls at the cavern, not wanting to go near it, and seems to be pleading Zeal to turn away
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves his hands to his hears as he winches from the sound. He studies it a bit then moves towards the gauntlet
<DeathStar> 6* The gauntlet is made of a black shiny object.
<DeathStar> 6* As Dahok gets closer, the machines seem to make him more ill, and he'd see one has a hole in it with a green flashing object inside it, a sphere that glows.
<Zeal> Oh. I see. Not the water--- the plague.
* Zeal rises, patting Souma gently but nods, moving toward the cavern and the others.
<DeathStar> 6* Soma mewls and scrambles to get out of Zeal's breasts and away from the cavern
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok starts coughing a fit as he eyes the sphere then the gauntlet. He moves to put his hand in it
* Kaelan keeps her distance, tilting her head. "Dahok...? Are you alright...?"
<Zeal> Soma, please trust me.
<DeathStar> 6* The gauntlet attaches to Dahok - painfully, and objects from it dig into his flesh, causing his brain to burn. He'd see flashes of the monster from before, and the insides of the monster, that doesn't look like guts.
<DeathStar> 6* Soma eyes the sphere warily, like an animal ready to gnaw it's own arm off to get away
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok howls out in pain
<DeathStar> 6* The pain subsidies, as does the visions. He'd see symbols in his mind briefly, but they're meaningless
<DeathStar> 6* At least, to a none Angel
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shakes his head as he stumbles back a bit.
* Zeal peers at Dahok and and the situation. 1"...Dahok, take the sphere with that gauntlet, perhaps?
<DeathStar> 6* As Dahok stumbles, his body begins to ache worse and hisvision increasingly gets worse - as does all those in the cavern. Their skin and body literally burn, despite a lack of fire
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pants a bit now as he stands there. He eyes the symbols that were visible before and tries to connect what he briefly saw
* Kaelan starts to whimper in pain, shaking, "D-Dahok..." *she starts backing away instinctively*
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas calls out from outside the cavern. "My vision is failing; the source of the plague must be in here."
<Zeal> I believe we see it--
<Kaelan> "Whatever you see... g-get rid of it...!"
* Zeal looks toward Dahok standing around and considers shooting the orb, but doubts it'll do anything like before.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shakes his head and he moves for the sphere and reaches for it with the gauntlet hand and starts to pull it out
<DeathStar> 6* When the gauntlet touches it, a hissing sound is heard and the sphere begins to eat away at the gauntlet, causing sparks to fly from the gauntlet as it erodes. Dahok would feel heat and pain and see his skin blistering from the arm put near it
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pulls his arm back quickly, stumbling back, looking even worse for wear now
<DeathStar> 6* Though he can grip the sphere, it would seem to come at a heavy price
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers to see if any of the worms are going towards the sphere
<Zeal> Surely that is the source... everything near it-- decays... burns..
<DeathStar> 6* They do go into the object that surrounds the sphere

<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I-I could try to cut one of these worms or yank that sphere out...
<Zeal> Whatever you do, just hurry. We are already at our limits.
<Kaelan> "Do anything... hurts..."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pauses then grabs his staff from behind his back and he aims to jam it under the sphere and pry/pop it out
<DeathStar> 6* The sphere is popped out, at the cost of his staff, which is eroded and damaged at the end; the sphere flies out toward Kaelan
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok falls to his knees, panting heavily now

<DeathStar> 6* The sphere passes over Kaelan and she can feel her skin literally burn as it goes by; as it hits the ground, it leaves a burning trail in the rock as it rolls toward the river

* Kaelan screeches in pain from the burns, shuddering.
<DeathStar> 6* As it rolls, it begins to glow dimmer as it rolls
* Zeal widens her eyes a bit, then moves, running ahead of the sphere and grabs her hatchet, stooping and hacks a notch into the ground ahead of it.
<DeathStar> 6* As Zeal gets ahead of it, she'd feel her flesh burning as it rolls along toward her notch
<DeathStar> 6* Soma screetches and claws
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok puts both his hands to onto the ground and vomits
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok would smell blood mixed into the vomit
* Zeal makes sure it'll stop within the trough she makes, then moves away quickly.
<DeathStar> 6* The sphere stops at the notch and begins to burn into the ground, sinking down into the ground until it's glowing green light fades completely.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Perhaps--we should bury it. To be safe. If it is airborn.
<DeathStar> 6* He carries Rachael to the river edge, favoring his right leg.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok coughs another fit and he wipes his mouth. 1"S-Sounds good."
<DeathStar> 6* Despite their efforts, their bodies, while not getting worse, are certainly not getting better. IT would seem, perhaps, they are too late to save themselves.
<Kaelan> "Y-Yes.." *she slowly moves towards Thomas* "I... just want to rest now..."
<Zeal> I am not so sure it is over...
<Zeal> Perhaps we needed lady Al'ryl to completely disarm it.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> We saved countless people..That's all that matters. 6He takes another deep breath and he struggles to stand now
<Zeal> We shall see... I do not feel... well.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> We should...leave the mountain... perhaps fresh air will help
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> D-Do you see a way out? 6He slowly makes his way to Thomas

<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shakes his head a bit as he eyes the river and the doll
<DeathStar> 6* The doll seems to be missing an arm and an eye
<Kaelan> "What is it?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I see--the ancients---despite all this... stuff....still were like us in ways
<Zeal> Ungh." 6She peers away from it, sickened by the sight. 1"Nothing, Kael."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Perhaps we are more like them then we know
* Kaelan forrows her brow a little, "Fine... I guess..."
<DeathStar> 6* After traveling fifteen minutes, and increasingly growing weaker, the darkness now engulfing them as they have left the glowing cavern chamber, they only have the river to follow by sound
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I am... not sure if I can continue to carry this one... 6* He tells them weakly.
<Zeal> Heh. If it is any consolation, we are of the same sight, Kael.
* Zeal moves over to help Thomas.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> We have to.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> To think that I might end my life in this manner.

<Kaelan> "No... Jean's alive." *she sounds firm despite her weakness*

<DeathStar> 6* Thomas shivers as the air grows colder, then pauses as he squints, seeing - the glittering outside. He stops, seeing they are on the side of the mountain, the water frozen now and going down the side of the mountain like an ice chute; snow drifts down
<Kaelan> "It's gotten colder..." *she shifts a bit*
<Zeal> Ah. I see...
<Zeal> We could use it to get down... heh.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas eyes the chute. "I don't...think we have the energy...to climb down the mountain. Though the chute may...be dangerous."
<Kaelan> "Chute...?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers around, his right hand resting against the mountain side. 1"Then may the gods be with us...or against us at this point
<Kaelan> "A prayer does seem ironic, you were right Thomas."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas sits at the edge of the chute, getting Rachael on his lap like she were straddling him, then slides down, making a weak noise as he speeds up and hits the ground hard
<Zeal> <Zeal> ..." 6She steps forward and tosses herself down it.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas then grunts when Zeal lands on him, getting a dainty Thomas landing
<Kaelan> "What are we doing now?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok stands their waiting for Tom to move as he explains to Kaelan what's about ot happen
* Zeal helps him move, then crawls back. 1"Send Kael next!" 6She calls up
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas lays there, too weak to move now, and Zeal would find herself much the same, the cold draining her as well; it seems Zeal moving them took the last of her energy

<Kaelan> "Ah! A slide!" *she sounds excited*

* Kaelan lets out a squeal, then grunts in pain.

<DeathStar> 6* The damaged gauntlet doesn't respond back; Dahok begins to black out, then would find himself falling down the chute as he blacks out. His fate..?

<DeathStar> 6* The group would wake up after blacking out to see a fire, but they're all still on the verge of death. The female elf pets Soma, and Rachael can be seen near the fire, with the older male elf holding a blade to her throat, eyeing the group as they wake up, bundled together on one side, too weak to move except talk

<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok slowly opens his eyes, groaning a bit. 1"This is death?"
<Zeal> Rachael! ..S-Soma!
<Kaelan> "No... death didn't feel this bad." *she groans a little*
<DeathStar> <Younger Elf Male> Close enough. You all have many an hour left. Your body is being eaten up with a sickness. Literally putting out death

<DeathStar> 6* The older male elf taps Rachael, who seems to have rashes on her face now and neck. "This one will make it, though. But we can heal you all, too."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok groans as he tries to push himself up into a sitting position. 
<Kaelan> "I know that voice... you're one of the Elves..."
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok's body fails to move
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok makes a noise of defeat. 1"You'd heal us?"
<DeathStar> 6* The female elf pets Soma, who purrs happily at her touch, and she feeds him some tiny pieces of meat, just small enough he can chew reasonablely.
* Zeal blinks at Soma. 1"..."
<DeathStar> <Older Male Elf> Yes. We'll heal you. If you agree to let us kill this one. 6* He touches Rachael's head, who's eyes are open and peering ahead blankly.
<Kaelan> "K-Kill who?"
<DeathStar> <FEmale Elf> Don't feel betrayed; he's mewling led us to you. 6* She notes to Zeal
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Sorry, I can't stand by that.
<DeathStar> <Younger Male Elf> The one you call 'Rachael'.
<Zeal> I do not feel betrayed... I am merely happy for him.
<Kaelan> "No!"
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas eyes them all silently.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well stand at all right now. 6He sighs a bit.

<Zeal> Why are you wanting to kill Rachael?
<Kaelan> "Jean wouldn't trade our lives either."

"She is a halfling. Even with attachments, they tend to go insane with time; especially those that lose someone they value."
<Zeal> She does not deserve it-- and I will not hold my life above her's.

<Kaelan> "We're not trading our lives for hers, end of story."

<DeathStar> 6* The younger male elf eyes them all, peering at the older one, who eyes them all. <Older Male Elf> You don't even realize what you have with you. Perhaps it is from being another country that makes you ignorant

<DeathStar> <Older Male Elf> So you'd all die just to save one broken half-elf that may kill you all one day?

<Zeal> Lady Rachael put herself before me. I owe her my life and hold her before my own in turn. There is nothing to discuss.
<Kaelan> "Zeal wouldn't let Rachael die."

<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I risked my life to keep Rachael alive. If I have to tear every muscle in my body to defend her now, I'll do it, even if it means my death.
<Zeal> I also owed her brother. I will not give her life for my own. She has had many chances to deal with me should she have wished.
<Kaelan> "She probably hates the world right now."
<Kaelan> "Say what you will about the degree of loss, anyone would after losing family. Human or Elf. Or Halfing. We're all people."

<DeathStar> 6* The younger elf snorts, one the older one seems amused. "She will kill you one day, Templar." 6* He notes simply. "Very well. IF you humans would sacrifice your lives for one half-elf, ... then perhaps it will be interesting to see what happens. Set the tigoar down, Tisha.
* Zeal eyes 'Tisha' quickly, then Soma, then her.

<DeathStar> 6* The female sets it down, then moves over and touches Dahok, closing her eyes, while the older elf nods at the younger male, who grunts and touches Kaelan, closing his eyes. Finally the older one moves over to touch Zeal

<Kaelan> "Dahok... really..." *she sighs a little and goes quiet*
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok goes to say something then shuts his mouth
<DeathStar> 6* As the elves focus, the group would gradually pass out; when they come to, again, they'd feel sore, weak, but their sores and rashes are gone, and it no longer hurts. It's late into the night now
<DeathStar> 6* Soma sits on Zeal's breasts, mewling in her face for food
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok jerks up into a sitting position, his hand and gauntlet grabbing his sides

<Kaelan> "We do... perhaps we should head back to the town."
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael is on the other side of the fire, eyeing the flames, her hand held out to let them touch her. It seems she's moving again, though she looks as blnak as before
<Kaelan> "Thomas? Rachael? Are you here?"
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas is asleep still
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok groans a bit as he pushes to stand up, shifting his body around from the soreness. He eyes Rachael and slowly moves to her
<Zeal> Lady Rachael..."
* Zeal sighs a bit, then reaches into her belongings, fashioning another bit of the bottle for Soma
<DeathStar> 6* Soma mews at Zeal again. Rachael blinks her eyes once, peering at them all. "Where is... Jean...?" 6* She asks finally.
<DeathStar> 6* Soma purrs and goes for the bottle
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts to kneel down by her. 1"That monster took her."
<Zeal> That construct. The thing of metal.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Monster....
<Kaelan> "She's here... good..." *she gets up slowly* "Jean... she was taken by the rock monster."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok describes it to her
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael listens quietly, not looking like she's paying attention, eyeing the flames. "I see. We should help her."
<Zeal> I would like to, however, lady Rachael...
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> That's the next plan. 6He nods to her then studies her. 1"If you need anything, Rachael, let me know."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> .... Stop calling me lady. 6* She says softly.
<DeathStar> 6* Her hair seems back in place, and it's likely she's not even aware of the conversation with the elves.
* Kaelan moves around the fire, following voices, she move behind Rachael and hugs her.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael jerks a bit at the hug, but doesn't say anything
<Zeal> Well then... Rachael." 6She smiles-- very faintly. 1"... May I request your assistance..?"
<DeathStar> <Rachael> ... assistance...?
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glances back at Zeal and stands up, holding a hand down to Rachael
* Kaelan just keeps hugging softly.
<Zeal> <Zeal> I am not yet an able hunter. I still need your help.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael stands on her own, as if purposely not taking his hand, perhaps making some point. "Are you all strong enough?" 6* She asks, glancing them over once; indeed, they're still very weak
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I feel like I drank for 4 days straight and never took a break
<Zeal> I feel naive. If you can find it, Rachael, I will follow.
<Zeal> I must not rest until lady Al'ryl is safe.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes his hand and rubs the back of his neck
<Kaelan> "I feel significantly better then I did when I last had a brush with death, which isn't saying much... really, but I'm okay. Are you Rachael?"
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I will look for tracks. Wait here. I can move faster alone. I will come back if I see... tracks matching the monster's description
<DeathStar> 6* She picks up her bow, not having a sword, and moves off into the darkness.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> We leave together, Rachael.
* Zeal blinks, then calls out. 1"Thank you!"
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael doesn't respond, moving on and quickly, her strength having returned faster than the others' it seems
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas stirs, groaning in pain and sits up a bit
* Kaelan tilts her head. "You know, it explains a lot."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well I tried. 6He sighs and he rubs his face as he sits down.
<DeathStar> 6* Soma gets comfortable on Zeal's lap
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes the gauntlet over as he sits there, his right hand tracing it a bit
<Zeal> What is that thing, sir Fyro?
* Kaelan rubs the back of her neck gently. "Valen didn't get sick... Rachael took a while... so I wonder if Valen was a full blooded elf." *she sits by Dahok quietly*
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Half like Rachael.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Not sure, but it seems to enjoy staying on my arm
<Kaelan> "What's on your arm?" *she reaches out to feel his arm*
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It's a gauntlet I guess.
<Zeal> It was beside that... sphere of death.
* Kaelan slowly feels over it. "Does it hurt?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shakes his head. 1"It did at first."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas studies the gauntlet curiously
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It seems damaged. 6* He points at thin string like objects coming out of the damaged sections
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It was damaged when I first tried to grab that sphere.
<Kaelan> "Maybe in time we can fix it... if it won't come off."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It doesn't seem to be like other guantlets I've seen before
<Zeal> Why would we fix what we do not understand and cannot remove?
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It is clearly ancient
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Indeed. 6He nods to Thomas.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Did anything happen when you put it on?
<Zeal> He shouted..
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Pain, some...visions I guess...I could see inside that monster. It doesn't have any...It's not like us or other beasts
<Kaelan> "I'm a smith, we dream of working legendary weaponry and armor... and this is a gauntlet of ancient design? You have to ask?" *she keeps feeling at it, trying to picture it*
<DeathStar> <Thomas> You saw inside the monster? Do you think it can beat it, then?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I...Don't know, it's damaged is it not? 6He pauses and shifts out his parchment and grabs some coal to start drawing the symbols he saw the best he can remember
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok which means pulling the gauntlet from Kaelan's grubby fingers
<Zeal> What do you mean... not like other beasts? What was its insides?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> The same as it's outsides.
* Kaelan pouts.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas eyes the symbols. "Hm. It is written in ancient."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok nods. 1"Yes."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> These symbols appeared before me.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Some matched the symbols that were back in the cavern.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It is not surprising; these symbols are an alphabet, after all
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> They are?
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Yes. Much like our language has symbols for the letters in our words
<Kaelan> "Jean could read the strange letters, couldn't she?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok muses for a moment, clearly thinking it over. 1"Yes she could. 6He eyes the gauntlet again. 1"I do hope it is not useless to us."
<DeathStar> 6* Soma rolls over to have his belly rubbed
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It is a shame it has been damaged.
<Zeal> I would merely hope it is not malignant to us.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I apologize for that. I was not thinking straight considering things.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I have found tracks. 6* She steps back up; her clothes are torn in a manner to look like her tribal outfit, having torn apart the mid-section so the rabbit furs make a furred top and loin cloth, though her boots are in place up to her knees. It's clear her body is cold, though she doesn't show signs of being uncomfortable
<DeathStar> <Rachael> They are headed for the town.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts to get up, putting the parchment under his cloak. 1"Then we should make haste
<Kaelan> "Mmm... I figured as much..." *she gets up* "Yes we should."
<Zeal> Rachael, you should... cover up.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I feel more comfortable like this. Who is leading us now? 6* She asks.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas gets to his feet, peering at the group
<Zeal> You should. You know the way and how to track.
<Zeal> ...Are you not cold?
<DeathStar> <Rachael> It's heading toward town; you won't need me to lead you once I take you to the tracks
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael seems to play off not hearing the question, though it's clear her hearing is probably better than their own. She seems to wait for someone to take charge like Valen did
<Kaelan> "I'm hardly the one to lead when I can't find my own way. Let's worry about leadership when we get Jean back."
<Kaelan> "For now, let's just move out, we don't have time for this."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well Jean won't wait for us to rescue her. 6He starts moving to the way Rachael came. 1"Lead for now Rachael."
* Kaelan grabs Dahok's arm and walks with him for guidance.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael quietly turns, then moves in a direction around to the other side of the mountain. Thomas moves to put the fire out, then follows
* Zeal frowns, looking concerned, but takes up her equipment and bow and tags at the rear.
<DeathStar> 6* After a quick job around the mountain, Rachael leads them to the place they entered originally, and the monster's tracks are visible to anyone with eyes (That means all of you but Kaelan)
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> About how fast is it moving, Rachael?
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I can't tell.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok nods and he starts moving along the tracks. 1"Kaelen, walk with Zeal for now.
* Kaelan grabs about till she finds Zeal and holds onto her arm. She ends up petting a tigroar and finding some melons along the way.
<Zeal> Why do you keep telling her to follow me?
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael takes in a breath, eyeing the ice field - the ice is cracked where the monster walked, and she steps on it, sliding a bit and falling over. She quietly pushes herself up
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You're an archer which means you stay in the back.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts to help Rachael up
<Zeal> It also means I need to be able to move, survey and use both arms.
<Kaelan> "As soon as I can find my own way I won't be a urden to you anymore Zeal..." *she sounds ashamed*
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael accepts his help, trying to step forward again adn slips. She frowns, her eyes watering a moment, before hardening
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I will guide her
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas takes Kaelan's arm
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok jerks to keep her steady.
* Kaelan turns her head towards him and nods, taking his help. "Thank you Thomas."
<Zeal> It is not about being a burden. It is your safety. Should I move-- you are left without guidance and exposure to danger. Such in the case of fighting beasts like the demon and this construct.
<Chad`Winters> 6He then shrugs at Zeal clearly not letting it concern him. He looks to Rachael, frowning a bit
<Kaelan> "Oh... okay."
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael pulls out her bow and uses it to steady her movement along the ice, leaning on it whenever she tips
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts a bit away and he pulls out his staff, eyeing the end of it to see how damaged it is now
<DeathStar> 6* It looks like an angry mouser went to town on it
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> That halfs seen better days. 6He keeps moving.
