<DeathStar> 6* Having used the Anima T to smash in the door, the group has both put a hole in the ceiling above them, and revealed another room - which seems to be semi-large room with tables set up about it; half of the room has been frozen over, however, preventing progress, though a door on one side isn't frozen yet
<DeathStar> 6* Jean, her face still veiny, is leaning against the wall, while Thomas peers inside to study the tables
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok points towards the unfrozen door. 1"Looks like that's our only way on."
* Kaelan looks back at Jean, moving over to her. "Do you need help Jean?"
<DeathStar> 6* As Kaelan moves over, she'd feel her magic get stronger, as would Zeal. They have both reached Magic Level 2 and can spend 5 more points.
* Zeal pauses in growing closer to Jean, frowning.
* Kaelan offers a hand out to her.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas looks over, nodding once to Dahok. Jean, however, just pushes away from the wall and follows the two men without taking the hand
<DeathStar> 6* On one of the frozen tables covered in ice, seems to be a paper
* Kaelan just nods and follows after her.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers back at Jean, frowning slightly. He moves upto the door then pauses to look at the paper.
<DeathStar> 6* It seems to be a child's drawing
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Cool. 6He notes as he moves to the door and grabs on an edge and tries to open it
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas glances at the drawing, a sad expression
<DeathStar> 6* It seems to be partially frozen shut and resists
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It seems to be stuck.
* Kaelan pauses and looks down at the drawing, she frowns deeply.
* Zeal puts a hand to her face, then moves after them.
<DeathStar> 6* Soma bites at Zeal's bear
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas looks around; there seems to be evidence that there was once more pictures on the walls, long decayed.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok rubs the back of his neck. 1"Zeal you got that axe of yours handy?
<Zeal> No, I threw it into a hole.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok doesn't respond, he just holds his hand backwards
<DeathStar> 6* Jean looks through the ice at the table, a quiet expression on her strained face.
<Zeal> Soma, stop that." 6She squints.
<DeathStar> 6* Soma looks up at her
<Zeal> That is not a chew toy.
* Kaelan eyes the door up and down while Zeal fusses over the kitten.
<DeathStar> 6* Soma ducks down into her cleaveage, sulky
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Right. 6He just notes and looks at Kaelan. 1"Well bashing into it with my body doesn't work."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas moves over to the door, looking it over. "It'll probably open if you and Kaelan both tug on it."
* Kaelan giggles. "Let's try Thomas' route."
* Zeal moves aside for them to do so
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I like you more now. 6He nods to Thomas and grabs the door.
* Kaelan moves over to grab at the door, looking to Dahok.
<Kaelan> "On three?"
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas looks confused
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> ...On three? Or 3 then pull?
<Kaelan> "On three." *she smiles*
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok nods. 1"Three." 6he starts pulling
* Kaelan pulls with him.
<DeathStar> 6* The door makes a noise as it opens, revealing a L shaped hallway
<Zeal> I guess this tells me neither knows how to count.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok let's out a huff and he peers inside curiouslly.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean touches the ice and it melts slowly until she can grab the drawing. The ceiling shifts a bit
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok blinks then peers upwards.
<Kaelan> "One and two were boring and needed to be skipped." *she nods and looks upwards as well*
<Zeal> Lady Angel-- is it simply lady Al'ryl that does not recall her origins, or do you fail to grasp them as well?
<DeathStar> <Thomas> ... 6* He glances back curiously at Jean, who looks up slowly, blinking
<DeathStar> <Jean> Origins?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I thought I heard something...
<Zeal> Your life... memories.
* Kaelan hands Dahok his wooden sword. "You... might want this."
<DeathStar> <Jean> .... no. I don't remember anything. Just that I have to find what I'm looking for.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Thanks. 6He takes it, shifting it on himself, a smile on his face. 1"Jean, shall we?"
<DeathStar> 6* Jean doesn't respond to the name, like it means nothing to her; she stares down at the drawing of a child holding a bigger person's hand
<Zeal> Why not forget it all and start anew..? You could come away with me to the meadowlands. Live quietly.
<DeathStar> <Jean> No.
* Zeal crosses her arms, peering to the side.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Angel I mean?
<DeathStar> 6* Jean makes a face at "Angel", but at least looks at Dahok. "You were the one who wanted to come in here, you lead." 6* She snaps.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I..6Hes rubs the back of his neck since he didn't plan on not leading and he shrugs. Then moves down the hallway
* Kaelan moves after him, hand on her sword hilt.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael lets out a breath, having been quiet this entire time, and steps in with the bearoar and horses
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I don't think it's a good idea to take the animals any further
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pauses to peer back. 1"You've got a good point. Bear can protect them."
<Zeal> I had... tied them outside.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I didn't think it a good idea to leave them outside, not with the ice demon; if they were killed, we'd be without transportation
<DeathStar> <Rachael> One of us should probably stay with them
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Do you think you'd be more comfortable watching them?
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I am curious about this place, but I can stay if you want
<Zeal> I would not think it wise any of us to stay behind..
<Zeal> For the same reasons.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I still think it dangerous to leave them alone, though. I mean, yeah, it's dangerous, but they're defenseless.
* Kaelan looks between Rachael and Zeal.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well I don't want anyone to think they have to stay behind but I agree with Rachael.
<DeathStar> <Jean> Stay, go, just decide.
<Kaelan> "I can certainly watch them now, if Rachael really wants to go on." *she doesn't sound as confident as she wants, with her experiences at staying behind so far being less then joyful*
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael glances at Zeal, as if waiting to see what she says next --- and waiting ...
<Zeal> It is hardly that simple, lady Angel.
<DeathStar> <Jean> Then make it simple. You are running out of those light stones.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I'll tell ya what Rachael. If you wouldn't mind watching them, I can tell you everything we see. And then next time, if it comes to it, I'll stay behind so you can go in.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Look, I'll stay, and if I run into trouble, I'll make a rukus. And we can come up with a code word to make sure it's really me.
* Zeal looks uncomfortable.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael steps over to Zeal and whispers something in her ear, then steps back to kneel beside Baby and the horses
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Take care Rachael. 6He winks at her and turns to move inside
* Zeal blinks at Rachael.
<Kaelan> "Be careful Rach..." *she steps after Dahok*
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas moves along again, and Jean lets them get some distance before stiffly following
* Zeal still frowns, but turns to go with Jean
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves down along the hallway now, curiously peering about as he makes his way to the L
<DeathStar> 6* The L shaped hallway has two more doors, and one at the end.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok stops at the first door and looks to see if it's frozen up
<DeathStar> 6* It looks normal enough
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves to grab the door and pry it open.
<DeathStar> 6* The door shifts open to reveal another hallway with a single door at the end
<Kaelan> "Hmm, still three doors."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> What a fascinatingly big place.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It is. 6He moves to the second door to check it
<Kaelan> "It does feel bigger then I would have expected an underground ruin to be." *she heads after Dahok still*
<DeathStar> 6* It opens half-way before jamming; they can see what appears to be a desk made of metallic ore, like armor, and child drawings on the wall, most detoriated - and large rectangular objects that seem to be about 5 feet tall
<Zeal> I would feel more fascinated were we not in a dangerous situation..
<DeathStar> 6* On the desk is a thin square object that seems propped up to face away from them
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok squints a bit. 1"This is kind of cool.. 6He sucks in his gut to see if he can squeeze in
<Kaelan> "So many children's things... was this just some sort of house?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> They must have had large houses, then, if that were the case. This is bigger than even an inn
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok somehow manages to get in
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok holds up the light stone and moves towards the thin square object that's facing away.
<DeathStar> 6* As he moves away, the others are cast into darkness
<Zeal> Perhaps many lived in a single?
<Kaelan> "Orphange maybe? They're bigger then a single house, right?" *she blinks a little* "Dahok? Dark back here."
<DeathStar> 6* As Dahok gets closer, he'd see a more finely detailed portrait of a brown haired woman, who's quite beautiful - better than any painter he's seen
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok whistles a bit and he reaches to grab the portrait.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas feels around his pouches as they're left in the dark
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok grabs it and moves back towards the entrace to the hallway
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas looks up as light returns - and shows himself, Zeal, and Kaelan
<Kaelan> "Oh, here he comes. Everything alright Dahok?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok sucks in his gut to sneak back out and he peers around. 1"Yeah but where's Jean?
* Zeal sighs, facepalming
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers to the last closed door
* Kaelan looks around and sighs. "She slipped away, maybe she went to look at the other door?"
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas looks around, then eyes some of Jean's clothing on the ground, looking like it was torn off; the last door in this area is now open
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> ...She went that way. 6He starts moving towards it
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Here I thought she said this place wasn't of interest to her.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I don't think she left on her own. She was too injured to move that fast
<Zeal> She oft sneaks off..
<DeathStar> 6* He picks up the cloth. "And I don't see her ripping her own clothes."
* Kaelan frowns and follows Dahok. "Have your weapons ready."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glacnes back at her Thomas. 1"...Kaelans right." 6He frowns and pulls out his staff and he starts moving to the door faster
* Kaelan draws her sword and follows Dahok.
<DeathStar> 6* As he reaches the door, he'd see a staircase - but a thick wall of ice prevents them from going up the stairs
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes the ice and taps it with his staff. 1"This is definetly not good. I think that demon's in here."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas catches up. "How do we get past it, then?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well if this place has one set of stair cases, maybe it has another.
<Kaelan> "A fire? We could try hacking at it."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> A fire might take too long with how thick it is..
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I can't see hacking doing any good.
<Kaelan> "So we look for more stairs."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Then we check that door at the end of that other passageway. 6He moves back and heads towrds it
* Kaelan heads after him.
<Zeal> How do we know it even connects?
<Kaelan> "We hope."
<Kaelan> "And... we look."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas follows after them. "If the demon did take her, I wonder why it picked the angel out of all of us. Wouldn't the angel make a harder opponent?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> We don't. But it's better then standing around while she's missing.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You looked at her right? She's not in the finest shape right now.
* Zeal shakes her head.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves down the sidehallway and towards the door. He grabs onto it when he reaches it and moves to open it
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I just would have thought as someone who can destroy the world, she'd have more .... power.
<Kaelan> "Jean was easy too trick in her usual state, the demon might not realize what it selected."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Maybe demons don't know about the Angel.
<Kaelan> "She was also keeping her distance from us... many reasons it seems."
<DeathStar> 6* The door strains open, and through the open door he'd see that it leads back out of the building into a little area - frozen over, he'd see odd things, like a large circular device with metal pipes on it, a ladder that leads to a metal slope, chains that have boards at the bottom
* Kaelan peeks over his shoulder. "What's all that stuff?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok whistles slightly at what's all around. 1"This is definetly amazing..." 6He steps forward, peering at it all, and also looking for another door
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Those look like swings
<DeathStar> 6* He notes, pointing.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Though not made with rope.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok squints. 1"Yeah they kinda do."
<Zeal> You think? The rest seems to serve no purpose. What is the point of that ladder?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> To climb up.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas steps up, peering up at the second floor - windows can be seen
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Apparantly you climb up to the top of that ... slope.
<Kaelan> "What is that... a large chain..." *she moves over to look, interested now* "Like metal rope."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I have seen chains before, usually for some of the church's more advanced equipment. Never in the same area as you'd find children's swings
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Perhaps in the past, before the judgement, the gods did not restrict such things
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Hmmm. Apparently not.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I'm not seeing any other exits.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Typically chains are used for things like drawbridges, though, Kaelan. To help lower and raise them
<DeathStar> 6* On the circular metal thing, a girl's doll can be seen
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok stops at it and reaches down to pick up the doll
<DeathStar> <Thomas> If we could reach the second floor and lower a rope, we could climb up.
<Kaelan> "Yes... I've seen some chainwork, much smaller chains could be used to make armor too... come to think of it. But people prefer plate."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Maybe if one of you climb the ladder I could use magic to send you onto the second floor.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas eyes the distance and height, and the window. "I imagine that would cause more damage than good."
* Kaelan looks up over there. "I could make it up there."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Nothing personal, Kaelan, but I don't think you could jump that high
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok rbus the back of his neck with his free hand as he picks up the doll. We'll need some rope.
* Kaelan smiles. "I can. Get me some rope."

<DeathStar> 6* Thomas eyes the swings. "Well, chains would do as good..." 6* He notes dubiously.
<Zeal> We could use the chain from the swing, perhaps?
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas peers at Zeal, always his intellect equal
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> What about these chains? 6He moves towards the swings and tugs on a chain
* Kaelan moves back over. "They're probably on a hook or something... if we can get them down..."
<Zeal> Wonderful idea, you two. Why did I not think of that...
<DeathStar> <Thomas> If you can jump that high, Lady Kaelan, surely you can... get the chains free.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Of course they are. 6He peers to see what's holding them on
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas looks at Zeal, confused. "Didn't we say it at the same time, Lady Zeal?"
<Kaelan> "Perhaps, that seems a bit trickier though, the magic allows me to jump high... I'm more concerned about landing."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You can use magic to make you jump high? 6His tone clearly interested
<DeathStar> 6* The chains seem to be firmly attached to a metal pole
<Kaelan> "I think so."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> They seem pretty attached. 6He eyes the metal pole to see if it looks like it's about to fall about or not
<DeathStar> 6* A girly scream can be heard from inside
<Kaelan> "Metal this old and still so solid without maintainance..."
* Zeal turns her head toward the sound
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok jerks, quickly looking around
<Kaelan> "Crap... we need to hurry."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas frowns. "Was that the angel or Rachael?"
<Zeal> I am unsure.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok makes a face and he grabs his staff and slips it between the chains and starts to run around in an attempt to twist the chains up till they're taught then starts to pull/push hard to try and break what's holding them
<Kaelan> "Either way they're both in danger."
<Zeal> Do we only have the one light left?
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I have one more stone, but we don't know how far underground we still are.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok growls as he keeps pushing/pulling
<DeathStar> 6* The chains seem to resist
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I need some help over here!
<Zeal> Yes, but if it was lady Rachael, it would be prudent to assist her now...
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas reaches into his pouch to hand it to Zeal, then eyes the chains. "Would a sword work?"
* Kaelan watches Dahok's progress. She moves up and helps him twist it.
<Kaelan> "It might, this metal is strong but thin."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It might do it. I just have more leverage with this.
<Zeal> Can these be turned off once used?
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Yes. Tap it twice.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Thomas, go with her.
<Zeal> Thank you." 6She nods.
* Kaelan frowns. "Dahok, hold the chain still."
* Zeal taps the stone, then makes her way back toward Rachael
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok technically is
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas peers back to watch the other two.
* Kaelan readies her sword and uses Wind Jump to leap up, she slashes at the chains with her blade as she reaches the top of the swing.
<DeathStar> 6* After leaping higher than the chains and coming back down to cut them, the chains swing as they uncoil.
<Kaelan> "Well, I know I can make the leap now.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok goes flying forward and then spins as a chain cracks across him.
* Kaelan eeps as it does, she goes a bit red and moves to check on him. "Are you okay? I'm sorry."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok groans a bit as he pushes himself up. A mark a cross his face and some blood there. 1"Yeah. We need to head go after Zeal. There was a whole in the ceiling there from Anima T
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas gets the chain for them
<Chad`Winters> NRP: hole even
* Kaelan nods and wipes up the blood with the cloth that was covering her eyes. "Alright."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok nods to Thomas and he wipes the blood from his face and he starts moving for where Rachael was and Zeal was heading
* Kaelan heads after him.
<DeathStar> 6* Meanwhile, Zeal would arrive back at the spot with Rachael, who has her bow and arrow ready, aiming it at Zeal when she steps in
<DeathStar> 6* She pauses, clearly listening as she keeps it trained
<Zeal> ...Lady Rachael..? I heard you scream.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> That wasn't me. 6* She lowers the bow. "You're breathing, so you're not the ice demon. What happened?"
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar covers it's eyes
<Zeal> We think she kidnapped lady Al'ryl already for some reason.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Jean...? 6* She looks worried now. "Where did it take her?"
<DeathStar> 6* Soma mewls
<Zeal> We are unsure. It was on the second level, likely, blocked by ice.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael looks up, frowning more. "There's a hole in the other room. I could try to jump up and then lean over to pull you up."
<Zeal> Very well, if you think that would work.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael turns to go when the others arrive.
<Kaelan> "Hey! Everyone alright?"
* Zeal follows her
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It looks that way...6He peers at Baby. 1"What's wrong?"
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar looks at them, and roars, rolling over worriedly
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael pauses. "Yes. I'm about to try to jump up to the next floor."
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael exits the room to the hallway where the anima made a hole
<Kaelan> "I was about to try that too... we got something for the others to climb up with."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok kneels down by Baby and puts a hand on him. 1"Somethings' bugging you, isn't it?"
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas looks around. The bearoar roars
* Zeal goes to follow Rachael again, eyeing Soma, then glances up. 1"Lady Rachael, if you do not mind-- what was the safety you told me..?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It's here isn't it?
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Huh? Oh. Desert Rose.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael looks sheepish
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar roars
* Kaelan sighs a little at such a code word.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pats him and he spins his staff as he moves towards Rachael and Zeal.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> ... what is wrong? 6* She asks Kaelan defensively
<Zeal> Hm. Odd." 6She pats Soma.
<Kaelan> "It's just... I could have guessed that one."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Any of us could have, it's why I chose it. But an ice demon?
<Kaelan> "I was thinking about that, how do they know what to disguise themselves as? They couldn't have known Valen."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I think what I like about the ruins the most is how it's not so open. Like how it could just bury us if it collapsed.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael makes a face, her stance for jumping ruined.
<DeathStar> 6* Putting a hand against the wall, Rachael keeps her back to the as she takes deep breaths. "Kaelan...you can jump you said...?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Kidding. 6He smiles. 1"Kaelan can you use your jump magic again.
<DeathStar> 6* Her tone is cold as the ice
* Kaelan nods, holding out her hands for the chains.
<DeathStar> 6* As they talk, they'd begin to feel their magic weakening
<Kaelan> "Thomas? The chains? I'm starting to lose my magic... Jean...!"
<DeathStar> 6* Thomasp auses, then holds out the chains to her
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok tisks at that feeling.
* Kaelan grabs them from him and attempts to Wind Jump up to the next floor through the hole.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael keeps taking breaths as she leans against the wall; Kaelan would barely make the jump, and would find herself in a room full of tiny beds with decayed boxes at the foot of them.
<Zeal> What.. is going on?
<DeathStar> 6* Toys, such as blocks, are scattered about
* Kaelan looks for someplace to wrap one end of the chain to so she can lower it.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Send the chain down then find something to wrap the end to to help you hold it up.
<Kaelan> "I was looking for that something."
<DeathStar> 6* The only thing in the room seems to be the beds and decayed boxes
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Good thinking! Zeal you up first, then Rachael, Thomas and then I'll go.
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar roars worriedly
* Kaelan drags a bed that's close by over near the hold, then lashes the chain around it, she lowers it before taking a firm grasp on it, using the bed as a dead weight and herself as the opposing force.
<Zeal> Very... well. Baby cannot climb however..
* Zeal moves over to the chain and gives it a tuf
<Zeal> Nrp: tug
<Kaelan> "Then someone stays behind, one at a time, I'm going to be doing most of the pulling here. Zeal first." *she jerks a bit and pulls back*
<DeathStar> 6* Zeal is pulled up
* Zeal sighs at 'stays behind,' but scampers up.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Rachael, you're next.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael doesn't respond
<Kaelan> "Okay, Zeal, help me pull." *she braces herself for Rachael*
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers back towards Rachael
<Kaelan> "Pet her ears. You gave her a fright testing her like that."
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael seems to have her focus on the glowstone, her face cold. She jerks, as if realizing what's up, and grabs the chain
<Kaelan> "Kay Zeal, pull." *she pulls Rachael up*
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You're fine Rachael. I'll make sure nothing happens to anyone.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Stop talking about me like I'm an animal to be pet.
<Kaelan> "Didn't mean it like that Rach... sorry." *she grunts as she pulls*

<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well I figured if it was that demon, she might not know about Rachael's fear.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael reaches the top. She looks around the tiny beds and toys
* Kaelan pants a bit, tired without Zeal's help. "Alright... Thomas next. You can help me with Dahok when you get up here."
<Zeal> It seemed a lot of children were here at one time..
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas takes the chain and begins to climb up without the need of help
* Kaelan just braces herself to keep the chain steady for him.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok looks over at Baby. 1"I know somethings wrong Baby, but I need you to be strong and watch the horses for us. I'll bring Zeal back and everyone else, alright?
<DeathStar> 6* He hops off the chain once up top, then takes the chain for Dahok

<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok winks at him and leaps to grab the chain and starts climbing
* Kaelan smiles to Thomas and leans against the chain and Dahok's weight, glad for Thomas' help.
<DeathStar> 6* Their magic seems to grow even weaker once Dahok is up. As Rachael looks around, she stiffens as she sniffs the iar

<Kaelan> "We're... running out of time, Jean's fading."
<DeathStar> 6* Picking p the remains of the decaying sheets, they seem stained with a color
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok stands up, nodding to Thomas and Kaelan. 1"We need to hurry then."
* Kaelan leaves the chain there for them to get back down with and stands up, flexing her hands after gripping a chain for that entire excersize. "Like a long night in the forge... jeez."

<DeathStar> <Rachael> These cloths are stained with blood
<DeathStar> 6* There's one at the one end of the room
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> is it fresh? 6He moves for the door door and tries to open it
* Kaelan moves after Dahok, she gets her sword back out.
* Zeal glances over at Rachael.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> No. 6* She says, still breathing quickly as Dahok opens the door to reveal yet another hallway that goes left and right. There's multiple doors here

<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves along the hallway now, looking at each doorway. 1"Rachael. You can track right?"
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Nothing to track here. 6* Her eyes are closed
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Do any of the door look like they were recently opened?
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas eyes the doors. "Not that I can tell."
* Kaelan walks over to Rachael and hugs her. "Breathe."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok rubs the back of his neck. 1"Then we start checking doors."
<Zeal> Do you not remember the orientation of the previous hallway?
<Zeal> We are above it-- we should check the same direction, obviously.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Which way's that?
<Zeal> You were leading, genius.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok lazily looks back at her.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I believe it was to the left from here, then straight, if there is such a path
<Zeal> Yes, there is the expression I imagine most fits you..
<Kaelan> "Then let's take it." *she offers Rachael her hand*
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas glances down the left path of the hallway, which at the end does a L shape
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok looks at Thomas and nods to him. 1"Thanks for the help." 6He looks for the first left door
<Chad`Winters> NRP: errr that way.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael seems to follow them by sound, not opening her eyes, so she doesn't notice the hand
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok starts moving down the hallway and then goes left
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok goes left into a wall
* Kaelan reaches out gently. "I'm going to take hold of your hand Rachael, don't be alarmed." *she moves to take it and lead her on*
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas goes right at the end of the L shape and heads straight down it
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok rubs his face and moves after Thomas
* Zeal can't help but look slightly amused as she trails after
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael opens her eyes, then lets her lead her. "I-I'm fine, Kaelan."
<DeathStar> 6* As they reach the end, they'd find a huge ice block that leads to the staircase
<DeathStar> 6* There doesn't appear to be a third floor, looking through the block
<Zeal> It seems we wasted a lot of effort..
* Kaelan smiles and leads her nonetheless, squeezing her hand gently in a comforting way. "Let the blind girl lead this time."
<Chad`Winters> 6DAhok rubs the back of his neck. 1"She came up here...6He turns back the way they came."
<DeathStar> 6* Soma mewls at one of the doors
<Kaelan> "The door we skipped?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> We skipped many doord
* Zeal peers at Soma, then moves toward it, bringing her hatchet out
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves over and pulls soma out of Zeal's chest. 1"You smell her?
* Zeal pauses, jerking and instantly glares at Dahok
<DeathStar> 6* Soma hangs like a cute tigoar, pawing at the door he mewled at
* Zeal eyes her hatchet.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Good job Soma. 6He plops Soma on his head and he moves for the door and grabs it. 1"Everyone get ready."
* Kaelan lets go of Rachael's hand to ready her sword. She smiles at Rachael gently and turns to face the door.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts out his bo and he jerks to pull the door open
<DeathStar> 6* Soma slides about on the head as eh tries to get comfortable; the door is jerked open and children's bones come falling down a ladder leading to an attic
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well Soma. This isn't a safe place for you. 6He lifts Soma gently up and places him back in Zeal's cleavage.
<DeathStar> 6* Soma shifts back down into it, resting his head against one
* Kaelan eyes the ladder and bones. She clenches her teeth together a little and steps into the room.

<DeathStar> 6* She steps--into a ladder.
<Zeal> I-- will kill him.
* Kaelan stops at the ladder and looks up.
* Zeal eyes Dahok murderously.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas pauses, wandering if Kaelan's eyes are failing
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok takes a breath and whispers something. He pauses to look at Kaelen. 1"I'll go first."
<DeathStar> 6* Soma mewls at Zeal, as if afraid of her KI
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok grabs the ladder and starts to climb up as fast as he possibly can.
* Kaelan nods, letting him go first.
* Kaelan then climbs up after him.
* Zeal follows Kaelan, still looking moody
<DeathStar> 6* As DAhok reaches the top, he'd find Jean laying on the floor, half-naked, her neck bleeding. The demon is straddling her, licking blood off her fingers. "Mmmm, I have never tasted blood like this. You're not human, are you?" 6* She notes, licking Jean's neck. She pauses to eye Dahok climbing up, and quickly sends shards of ice at him before he can get up all the way, either forcing him to take a hit or fall back down into Kael

<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts his arm up to take any ice shards from his face as they come flying in.
<DeathStar> 6* They sink into his arm and out the other side, but don't hit his face
<DeathStar> 6* The ice demon snarls; the attic is filled with bones of children and their toys, mutaliated and stained with centuries old blood, it seems. Skulls face them accussnigly

<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok let's out a howl of pain as he climbs off the ladder. He breathes heavilly now. 1Can't do that. I made a promise that I plan on keeping,."
* Kaelan moves up the ladder behind Dahok and gets up, pulling her sword back out and ready.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael and Thomas follow Zeal up
* Zeal scrambles to get up, but pauses, not about to pop out into ice attacks
* Kaelan shifts to one side to make room for Zeal and the others.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok lowers his useless right arm as blood comes out of the wounds and down it and onto the floor
<DeathStar> 6* The ice demon holds out a hand and sends a cold wave at those on top, freezing the ground as it comes in at them
* Kaelan attempts to activate her wind shield, bracing herself.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok takes a breathe and throws his left hand forward to send a gust burst lv 1 infront of him and towards the demon.
<DeathStar> 6* As the cold wave hits Dahok, his body begins to freeze, while Kaelan's shield protects her; the burst knocks the demon back. Zeal would see the entrance to the attic freeze over with an inch layer of ice, much like is around Dahok
* Zeal uses her hatchet and slams the head into it.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok falls to his knee if he can still move and starts shivering
<DeathStar> 6* The ice breaks open
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok would more or less be frozen standing up in the one inch layer of ice
<DeathStar> 6* Though it doesn't cover his head
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok's eyes go wide from panic as he struggles to move. 1"D-Damnt!"
<DeathStar> 6* The ice demon begins to recover. "Always hurting Carly. Mean like everyone else."
* Kaelan rushes forward with her sword ready, and hops over Jean to get in front of her defensively, readying to slash out with a horizontal strike at the demon as she gets into her position.
<DeathStar> 6* As KAelan rushes, she throws out her ice wave and freezes Kaelan in mid air and lets her drop roughly
* Zeal hacks a bigger opening, then starts to crawl through. 1"Hurting... Carly... you started it, wench!"
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael gets out once Zeal is through, getting her bow and arrow ready.
* Kaelan shivers as she lands and whimpers, attempting to get back up.
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Leave Carly alone! Just hungry! Only want this one!
<DeathStar> 6* Kaelan would find herself in the same inch layer of ice
<Zeal> <Zeal> Eat animals and no one would hunt you!
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok starts growling and he starts to try and thrash his head around in an an attempt to weaken the ice in his neck and and work his way down
<Kaelan> "W-We can give you food... eating our friend is out... of the q-question..."
<DeathStar> 6* The Ice Demon grabs at Jean and moves to try to escape; there seems to be a hole in the back of the attic
* Zeal draws her bow, looking to Rachael, then readies it beyond the composite again
<DeathStar> 6* The ice slowly begins to weaken; once Thomas is through, he takes an object and hits the ice around Dahok, shattering it
* Kaelan starts trying to exert her strength to breat the ice, gritting her teeth. "Z-Zeal!"
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael takes aim, trying to get a lock, but her aim is horriblely off.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok falls to his knee's and he throws his left hand out, sending another gale burst lv 1 at the demon.
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok fails.
* Zeal steadies her hands and aims carefully, but using the extra strength, takes a shot that would ordinarily pin a person to the wall with the arrow.
<DeathStar> 6* Kaelan slowly begins to break herself free
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pants a bit and he growls as he pushes himself up. 1"I won't let you take her."
<DeathStar> 6* As the Ice Demon moves down, she's hit in the arm and loses Jean as she goes down without her
* Kaelan growls lightly as she keeps flexing and struggling to get loose from the ice.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok kicks off and he dashes in at the demon, his bo coming out.
* Zeal moves over toward the hole and calls. 1"Leave us alone. Live and let live!"
<Kaelan> "Zeal... check on Jean, she's likely bleeding out..."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas moves to help Kaelan free herself. Rachael lets out a breath, notching another arrow and moving to look down the hole - it seems to be another room of tiny beds
* Zeal shoulders her bow and kneels beside Jean.
* Kaelan works to stand with Thomas' help, tossing away chunks of ice.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean's neck is bleeding heavily, and she has bite marks on her arms and shoulders. "Too weak...to stop her..." 6* She mutters, clearly angry. Her eyes have a strange look to them, though it's hard to tell what
* Zeal fishes for more cloth and makes rudimentary bandages for the time being
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok spins his staff and lets it slide to the end of his hand and he thrusts it forward towrds the demon's chest.
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok proceeds to attack at nothing
* Kaelan frowns, she nods her thanks to Thomas and moves over to kneel by Jean and Zeal. "...Bitten by a demon..."
<Zeal> I should doubt she would have the same problem as I..
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It seems to have been feeding off her blood. <Jean> I'm not..tainted...
<Kaelan> "You mean you hope. We need to find the demon to be sure. It's obviously mad."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> That's right. That's what you have to fear! 6He acts casual and moves over to the others. 1We should finish it off."
<Zeal> You two are so bloodthirsty...
<DeathStar> 6* Jean strains to sit up, more blood running from her wounds; it's red blood. Nice, red blood
* Kaelan sighs and looks at Jean, seeming reassured. "I don't know, it's been run off for now."
<Kaelan> "We should run if Jean's not tainted."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> And when it recovers and decides to attack others?
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Look at all these children's bones. Can we let it live?
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas eyes the skulls set up to eye them
<Zeal> These are ruins. For all we know they died hundreds of years ago.
<Kaelan> "Did it eat them...? Or does it just have a sick habit?"
<DeathStar> 6* One skull has a rock slowly embedding into it.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It's not about bloodthirst, Zeal. It's about right and wrong. Something a Templar should understand well. 6He shifts to try and wrap his bleeding right arm
* Zeal changes expressions, practically seething now.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean puts a hand to her neck. "You're making her mad." 6* She notes nonchalantly
<DeathStar> 6* Her head droops as if she's on the verge of passing out
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> She attacked you. I'd say I'm pretty mad myself.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> May I ask, Lady Zeal, why you think we shouldn't destroy the demon?
<Kaelan> "Zeal... kill him after we deal with the demon."
<Zeal> Why should we?!
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It clearly feeds on people; look at it what it tried to do to us early, and what it did to the angel
<Zeal> It attacked us after moving into its territory-- it continues to attack us because we have moved FURTHER into ITS home!
<Kaelan> "...It kills innocent travellers?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> And what of innocent travels who happen to enter it's territory? We were far above the ice when it first attacked
<Zeal> This demon has acted no different than a common animal. To feed. We are becoming increasingly injured trying to invade its home and territory.
<Zeal> Might I add that this is exactly as the lady Angel predicted..!?
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok bites down and pulls hard on a wrap he made. He moves over to Jean and kneels down. 1"Hang in there, Jean."
<Kaelan> "You had no problem wiping out a small army of tigroars."
<DeathStar> <Jean> I'm not Jean.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> ...Actually, what is your name?
<DeathStar> <Jean> ... I don't remember it.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> What do you want to be called?
* Zeal shifts and slams her fist into one of the walls, exhaling sharply. 1"Do whatever the hell you want!"
<DeathStar> <Jean> God. 6* She says in such complete seriousness it's hard to tell if she's joking
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas watches Zeal carefully. Soma begins to mewl in fear and scrambles out of her melons and away to hide
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok smirks a bit and holds his hand out to her. 1"Alright God."
<Zeal> You do not care one way or the other what I think or believe and insist on telling me how much more qualified you are to decide what is right or wrong. You merely rely on me to fix the holes in your bodies and to provide an extra arrow.
* Kaelan sighs and moves over to get Soma. "Come here Soma... come here..." *she speaks softly*
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael is quiet as Zeal rants. "Is that what you believe?"
* Zeal gestures to Kaelan and Dahok. 1"Would you argue otherwise? Perspective is important."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas is quiet a bit, then moves down the hole
* Kaelan seems too absorbed in comforting Soma and getting him back to notice.
<DeathStar> 6* Soma is hiding under some decaying, smelling blankets
<DeathStar> 6* Jean doesn't take the hand, too focused on Zeal's ranting, a look that says this is entertainment
* Kaelan gently lifts the blankets, making comforting noises. "Come here little Soma... you can ride with me until Zeal is calm."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> ... 6* She just closes her eyes, shaking her head a bit. "I might would argue otherwise, but what does it matter anymore."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok just gives God a smile when she doesn't act. 1"I'm going to finish this demon off. Then I'd like to get to know you." 6He stands up and peers at Zeal. 1"Think what you want Zeal." 6He moves after thomas a determined look on his face
* Kaelan gently tries to pick up Soma. If she can get him, she heads after Dahok.
<DeathStar> 6* Soma is picked up, mewling
<DeathStar> <Jean> You. Zeal. You have a stone, yes? 6* She notes weakly
* Kaelan gently settles him in her cleavage before climbing down.
* Zeal glowers more when Kaelan abducts Soma to go hunting.
<Zeal> Yes..." 6She hisses through her teeth.
<DeathStar> <Jean> Then we can always leave. 6* She notes. Rachael glances at Jean, opening her eyes

* Zeal eyes Rachael. 1"And I have no idea what her intentions are."

<Zeal> I have sat quietly and allowed them to do as they please. All it resulted in was dragging you back into this place-- and now injuring you further. Am I wrong to be displeased?
<Zeal> There will always be another monster-- another demon-- another threat. Prioritizing our well-being and assuming the best course of action; that is good judgment.
<DeathStar> <Jean> Let me be frank. If you want to stay with me, I don't want someone who can only rage. If you want to be with me, you have to do. IF you think you are right, then do something about it. If you can't even attempt to sway others to your way of thinking, then you're not cut out to protect me.
<Zeal> I do believe I said why this was foolish. I was told to 'think what I want' and they leapt in anyway.
<DeathStar> <Jean> So you should either do something about the demon, or you should use your light stone so we can be gone. Which will it be?
* Zeal hisses through her teeth, then eyes Rachael.
<DeathStar> 6 *Rachael is silent, apparantly not having anything to add to the discussion anymore. She's still breathing heavily, like she wants to go, but her face seems like it's withdrawn much like when Valen died.
* Zeal tosses the stone to Rachael.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael eyes the stone bounce along toward her, blinking
<Zeal> Get her out of here." 6She scowls.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> And you?
<Zeal> What else would I do?" 6She eyes the hole.
<DeathStar> <Jean> So it's the former. Now, are we going to save the demon, or slay it?
* Zeal slowly eyes Jean. 1"... Save... the demon?"
<DeathStar> <Jean> I said for you to do something about the demon. I didn't specify what.
<Zeal> Can such things be saved?
<DeathStar> <Jean> I have no idea. I've never met such a thing before. And I'm not as caring as the one you call 'Jean', so my first thought isn't to save it.
<Zeal> Then it depends on the circumstances, does it not?
<Zeal> My first thought is for you and lady Rachael to leave here at once.
* Zeal peers back down. 1"At least should any of us return, lady Rachael can tell the difference between one of us and that thing. Neither your nor her should remain here any longer."
<DeathStar> <Jean> Doesn't everything? All that matters is doing something. Now, nothing personal, but she won't do me any good in protecting me, not with how she's barely holding it together. I can already tell in her eyes she's ready to jump ship and leave you all.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I-
<DeathStar> 6* Jean strains to rise, still bleeding and looking barely conscious. "So, I will go with you."
<Zeal> You are no use to me.
<DeathStar> <Jean> Let me put it this way - if I head out with her, you won't see me again, since I'll keep going my own way. Now, are you sure I'm of no use to you?
<Zeal> I refuse to use magic that uses your energy, and you look as if you can barely stand.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean shrugs painfully. "Either I go with you, or I go my way. Now, shall we follow the others? I can feel them out, at the very least."
<Zeal> You are all a serious pain in the rear.
* Zeal closes her eyes with a huff. 1"Except for lady Rachael." 6She drops down.
<DeathStar> <Jean> I think the same of you all. Believe me.

<DeathStar> 6* As Dahok and Kaelan move down from earlier, they'd find more drawings all about the place, some not looking that old and drawn on the walls; a picture of a girl crying as demonic little children surround her.

<DeathStar> 6* Each picture is the same, the girl being picked on, and swirls of black - and then in some pictures the crying girl stands over the kids body, looking strong like a super hero
* Kaelan frowns a little. "You know... I'm starting to wonder..."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas studies them, eyeing the symbols on them. "I wonder if this is a name."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pauses to look at the symbols. 1"Wonder what?"
<Kaelan> "Carla, maybe?"
<Kaelan> "We saw first hand that a human can become a demon... these drawings, those words the demon said... they seem to match these pictures."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You think she became a demon?
<DeathStar> <Thomas> So she became a demon and slaughtered the children?
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas tries the door in the room and it opens up

<Kaelan> "Could be. She was picked on and teased, picked on by the other children, it'd fill in the demon ranting about not being left alone."

<Kaelan> "I'm sure there's more to it... but... I think we're hunting down a scared little girl."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas eyes droplets of blue and black on the ground. "I think this is the demon's blood."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> One that still tried to kill us and who knows who else.
<Kaelan> "True... maybe she just doesn't know better though. If we can capture it instead of killing it, we may find our answers as to what happened here."
<DeathStar> 6* The blood droplets lead to the ice block in the stairways
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It went downstairs, it seems
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> And then what? We release it? 6He moves to the ice block, frowning a bit
<Kaelan> "Maybe put it out of it's misery, maybe find a way to fix her. We fixed Zeal."
<Kaelan> "We could go down through the hole, can't we?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> By killing the demon that bit her. 6He tries to see how thick the ice block is
<DeathStar> 6* Super thick, considering it blocks the entire staircase. Thomas is already moving for the room with the hole
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok turns to move after Thomas quickly
* Kaelan heads after Thomas.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas climbs down the chain once he reaches it
* Kaelan climbs down after him.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok waits for the two to go down and he frowns a bit as he drops his bo down so it hits neither and he starts climbing down with his one good arm
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas moves down and enters the room; the horses seem to be dead, and no sign of the bearoar. The blood of the horses are splattered about the room
<Kaelan> "God damned... Baby? Are you here...?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok grabs his bo and he moves into the second room and scowls. 1"Damn the gods."
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar peeks out from under a table, roaring

<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Thanks the glittering. 6He moves over to Baby quickly and pats him.

* Kaelan smiles softly and then looks around carefully. "We'll be carrying a lot of supplies, oh well, let's see... Carla? Are you here?"
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar points at the door that has blood on it, leading back toward the hallway with the playground
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok scratches his chin and he stands up. 1"Thomas, Kaelan. You two ready for this?
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Yes.
<Kaelan> "Yes."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok nods to them and he starts moving towards the playground, taking the lead
* Kaelan readies her sword again, she follows after Dahok.
<DeathStar> 6* They arrive to find the Ice Demon on the swings, covered in blood, licking at it hungerily, the wound on it's arm healing
* Kaelan frowns, she tilts her head a little and tries to get a good hard look at the girl.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok slows to a stop, his eyes staying on the demon. 1"You've caused enough harm."
<DeathStar> 6* The ice demon looks more like a woman. It turns to eye them, it's icy eyes narrowing. "Go away! Stop hurting Carly!"
<Kaelan> "Carla... you don't have to do this anymore."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You've inflicted pain on my friends and you slaughtered our horses.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas frowns, peering up as the window on the second floor opens and Jean leans out to eye them, pointing. "There."
* Kaelan gently puts her free hand on his shoulder. "Carla... did... the others pick on you and hurt you too?"
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Carly hungry. Hurt Carly, so Carly needed to eat. Go away. Carly not hungry right now.
* Kaelan adjusts her talking a little, trying to sound gently. "Carly. Maybe we can get you some food so you don't have to hurt people anymore?"
<DeathStar> 6* The Ice Demon eyes Kaelan. "Tried to eat Carly because they didn't like her. But Carly ate them first. Was showed how."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glances at Kaelan briefly then back at the demon, letting her take the lead
<Kaelan> "Showed how... who showed you Carly?"
<DeathStar> 6* The Ice Demon shrugs. "Don't remember. No food. Kids ate teachers first. Then each other. Chose to eat Carly first. But Carly became stronger and ate them first. Have to eat people to survive. But not hungry right now. So go away."
<Kaelan> "You ate horses and got better, do you have to eat people?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You don't have to eat people.
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Her blood made Carly stronger. Ate horses to heal wound.
<DeathStar> 6* Ice Demon eyes Jean
<Kaelan> "Carly, where are your parents?"
<DeathStar> 6* She seems to be debating taking another bite, judging by her expression. Jean is like spring oreos.
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Dead.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok stares, finding it hard to argue that point
<Kaelan> "Carly... what if we could make it so you didn't need to eat people to live, would you stop eating people?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> And how would you suggest doing that, Kaelan?
<DeathStar> 6* He eyes her
<DeathStar> 6* The Ice Demon looks at Kaelan now
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> This is kind of way out of my expertise. 6He whisper sto Thomas
<Kaelan> "I don't know... but if she's become a demon, the one who turned her must still be alive, we could dispatch it."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> You're assuming. We don't know if that's the case, or even where the demon is at - we don't have the supplies to look for such a creature
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Did something make you this way, Carly?
<Kaelan> "This demon was just a kid. Zeal was right, she's only acting on what she knows... maybe we could teach her, help her. No one is beyond redemption, right?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I don't know if I agree with that.
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Made Carly strong. Long ago.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> How long have you been like this?
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Long time
<Kaelan> "She wouldn't know exactly how long... was this place a school Carly?"
<Zeal> How ... do we get ...down?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> And why do you choose to keep eating people?
<DeathStar> 6* Jean eyes Zeal, then shifts and pushes her out, hangs onto her hand so she dangles a few feet off the ground, then lets her drop the distance; it jolts, but doesn't hurt
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Carly eat people to live.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It's wrong to eat people.
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Carly not going to die.
<Zeal> H-Hey!! ... ..gh.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well I can't stand by letting you take innocent lives.
<Kaelan> "Surely other meat must sustain you... we could get you something else to eat?"
<Kaelan> "What do you do when there aren't a lot of people to eat?"
<DeathStar> 6* The Ice Demon eyes him, rising to her feet to get ready to fight. "Only humans and that person feed Carly." 6* She points at Jean
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Every thing else barely holds hunger off. So Carly wait for travelers, lure them in, eat them.
<Kaelan> "But it hold the hunger off?"
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael works her way down as well.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts his feet a bit now, his right arm hangin to his side, the blood staining the bandaging he made for his wounds.
<DeathStar> 6* The Ice Demon just eyes Kaelan. "Carly not like being hungry." 6* She says simply.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Kaelan, it's clear she's not going to change her diet.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I can end your hunger.
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Carly not going to die. 6* It repeats.
<Kaelan> "Carly... this doesn't have to happen. Please, let us try to help you." *her tone is grave, she doesn't like where this is heading*
* Zeal motions to Jean to jump down.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean shifts to do so.
* Zeal moves to catch her, or at least keep her from just slamming to the ground
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Unless offering to be meal, Carly have nothing to say.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean grunts in pain as she lands on Zeal, still bleeding from her wounds; she rolls off.
* Zeal mumbles, and gets to her feet, moving toward the others.
* Kaelan readies her sword, looking grim. "I'm sorry, then, Lady Carly."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok spins his bo and he starts to circle her to the left
* Kaelan circles to her right.
<DeathStar> 6* The Ice Demon eyes them both, while Thomas grimly puts a hand to a short sword
* Zeal eyes them all drawing weapons, then peers at Carly.
<Zeal> Carly, right..? How much blood does it take to satisfy-- for how long?
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Human blood lasts Carly few weeks. It's blood might last longer. 6* She eyes Jean like she were fine steak
* Zeal shakes her head. 1"I asked how much."
<Zeal> Is it really necessary to kill?
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> All a human's blood lasts few weeks.
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Carly not waste. Carly good girl
<Zeal> There really is not that much in a body at once. You realize that if you only took some at a time-- it replenishes?
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I doubt a person would remain for another feeding, Lady Zeal
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> If Carly only drink little, not last long and person run off.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Nobody should have to suffer like that, Zeal.
<Kaelan> "What if... you came with us, and we gave you what you needed?"
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Plus Carly eat organs. Heart taste good. Gives Carly more time
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas peers at Kaelan like she were mad now.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes Kaelan at that
<Zeal> You look more human now than before-- can you do that moreso?
* Kaelan pales a bit at the organs line.
<DeathStar> 6* The ice demon peers down at her blueish figure and icy eyes, and blue hair. She looks up. "Takes energy to make Carly look like images in people's mind."
* Zeal shakes her head again. 1"Look like yourself-- before this."
<Zeal> The image in your own mind. No?
<DeathStar> 6* The ice demon frowns. "Carly not want to."
<Zeal> Why not..?
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Weak back then. Carly strong now.
<Zeal> Strong, perhaps. But alone.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Strength is something that comes from inside, not from how you look
* Zeal looks around the ice floes and empty building. 1"The only companions you have are the walls and remains of those long past. Do you prefer solitude?"
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Carly's home here.
* Kaelan tilts her head a little. "And you like it here?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glances at Jean to check her condition
<DeathStar> 6* Jean is sitting there, letting them talk, looking like she's barely conscious
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael keeps a hand on her bow
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Carly's home is here. 6* She repeats.
<Zeal> You are not Carly.
<DeathStar> 6* The ice demon peers at Zeal slowly.
* Kaelan jerks a little, she looks at Carly and Zeal.
* Zeal shakes her head. 1"Carly was your name before, was it not?"
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Am Carly!
<Zeal> Carly was weak, and you said yourself, you are no longer weak.
<DeathStar> 6* The ice demon pauses to consider that
<Zeal> It is a shame, however. I would have liked to meet Carly. I love children.
<DeathStar> 6* The ice demon lifts it's hand. "Woman right. Not Carly. Going to freeze you all and eat when I get hungry."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Rachael now.
<Zeal> I would have given you my own blood.
<DeathStar> 6* The ice demon pauses. "Why?"
<Kaelan> "Better then more people dying."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok makes a face at that.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael looks at Zeal slowly
<Zeal> No living being willing to better itself deserves to be condemned for a life not of their choosing.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas jerks. "Lady Zeal."
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> You'd stay here with me?
<Kaelan> "You could come with us... maybe we could teach you to be strong and not need to eat people... and not die of course."
* Zeal shakes her head. 1"I am following the angel-- but to write off a demon once human as an irredeemable being would be to lie to myself in that the angel is doomed to the prophecies that bade her appearance."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> You would seriously consider bringing a demon to populated areas? What if she ate innocent people? 6* He states to the two
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Seems kind of foolish to me.
<Zeal> I really do not care how it seems to you.
<Kaelan> "We keep her from doing it. What if baby started attacking people, or Soma? We have plenty with us who are considered monsters and dangers to all."
<DeathStar> <Jean> Pretty lady. 6* She murmurs in her normal, chipper tone. "Pretty hair." 6* She eyes the demon
<DeathStar> <Thomas> And you would keep an eye on her all the time? What if her 'hunger' grew around people? What if she ate the angel?
<Zeal> It is my trust to give-- my life and my decisions to make. I decided to follow the angel, for better or worse. I decide my own right and wrong. I live with my choices and obey its consequences and responsibilities.
<Kaelan> "There are a lot of what ifs, on the trip we're taking."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It isn't just your life, Lady Zeal, that you may put in danger.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glances at Jean then Kaelan and Zeal. 1"If that's what everyone agrees on, then fine but you two are respondible for her annd her actions.

<Zeal> I think you are getting ahead of yourself, sir Fyro.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean sways. "Jean not feel good."
* Zeal keeps her eyes on 'Carly.'
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok backs off towards Jean and kneels beside her, an arm around her to support her. 1"Hey, just relax Jean."
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> ... but this is Carly's home. Stay here. Carly won't kill.
* Kaelan peers over at Jean, she then looks at Carly again.
<Zeal> I cannot stay. I have duties to fulfill.
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> You're mean!
<Zeal> Am I? Then someone else has offered you more..?
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> ... people will hurt Carly if she leave.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean looks at Dahok, then eyes his arm. She blinks, touching it to try to heal it
<Kaelan> "We're here and tryig to offer not hurting you."
* Zeal tilts her head, sighing. 1"I offer you my own blood and if you behave like a good child, no one will hurt you without answering to me first."
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> ... will protect Carly no matter what?
* Zeal raises a finger. 1"If you behave and follow my conditions."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok slowly takes her hand and holds it. 1"It is fine for now. You need to save your strength." 6He gives her a smile
<DeathStar> 6* The Ice Demon considers, then nods.
<Zeal> Those standing here could not argue my word on that matter, I am sure.
<DeathStar> <Ice Demon> Okay. Carly will do so
* Kaelan sighs a little and smiles. "I'm supporting it even. I'll help look out for you kiddo."

* Kaelan slowly sheathes her sword. "Well... we have quite a walk now since Carly ate the horses."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas is silent
<Zeal> She... ate the horses..?
* Zeal facepalms.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers around at the others to see what they're opinions are.
<Kaelan> "Yeah. She didn't eat Baby though, thankfully."
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael is silent, not really even glancing at the group. She begins to put up her bow, though, once it's been decided. It's clear Thomas is thinking hard.
<DeathStar> <Jean> Where at? Jean not remember this place... 6* She eyes her own blood, jerking
* Kaelan peers at Thomas. "Another time. Anyone can be redeemed, we might just teach her."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well it seems you two get what you want. 6He shifts to stand up, offering a hand to help Jean up.
<Zeal> Lady Carly... you must not eat... our transportation... in the future. Do you know another route to the surface?
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I pray that you are right. However, once we reach the surface, I will ... be going my own way.
* Zeal glances to Thomas, wincing.
<Kaelan> "I... understand. I wish you wouldn't though. You've been very kind."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean takes the hand, quivering. "Jean bloody."
<DeathStar> 6* The ice demon seems to think. "Just travel through ice typically. But think there path to the surface outside home."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glances up at Thomas then at Zeal. 1"She's your responsibility now and everything that comes with it." 6He looks at Jean and rubs her back a bit once she's standing up. 1"I'll explain later. We should get to Baby for now."
<DeathStar> <Jean> We have new friend?
* Kaelan moves over towards Jean in concern. "It'll be alright... your other self was here."
<Kaelan> "Yes, her name is Carly."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean looks at Kaelan blankly. "Other self?"
* Zeal looks to Dahok, frowning. 1"Yes, we gathered that part thrice now. If you wish to act as our leader, you could state the obvious less, and think more."
<Zeal> Consider our strengths and weaknesses, act accordingly. Use your head, not your curiousity and will for agendas other than better will.
<Kaelan> "We'll... explain when we're camped, okay?" *she smiles reassuringly* "I can see again."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pays no mind to Zeal's words again and he moves to find Rachael.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean blinks. "How?"
<Zeal> The next time he ignores me, I will poison him.
<Kaelan> "You healed my eyes."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Considering Jean's condition, we should probably camp here for a few hours.
<Kaelan> "We might be able to get a fire going here too." *she nods to Rachael*
<DeathStar> 6* Jean looks baffled, then looks sleepy
<Chad`Winters> I wanna apologize for back there. I wasn't sure if the demon got you or not so I said something to try and trick her if it was.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael just holds up a hand to silence Dahok. "Don't." 6* Is all she says, then she moves back into the ruins to look for the horses
* Kaelan hugs her gently and supports her. "Let's get you someplace warm to rest, okay sweetie?"
* Zeal looks to Rachael, Thomas, Carly, Jean at odds on which to go to.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok nods, rubbing the back of his neck with his good arm.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas moves to follow Rachael to go over the supplies. While Jean leans against Kaelan
<DeathStar> 6* The Ice Demon looks at them all quizzically.
