<DeathStar> 6* After resting the majority of the previous day, the 17th, and letting Jean's wounds heal, the group set off later and traveled through the night and into the next day, resting every few hours due to Jean's condition. With no light to really judge day, it has just been a steady move, break, move, break pattern
<DeathStar> 6* As the group is on one of the move parts of the pattern, Thomas eyes the last glowstone start to dim
* Kaelan peers at it. "Still too dangerous for a torch too..."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts Baby a bit and some of the supplies he's maanged to get on him. He glances at Thomas. 1"Well that's going to make the rest of the way out difficult
<Kit> <Zeal> Not if we were moving.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean moves along, getting sluggish again it seems; her wounds have yet to heal despite all the time. Carly the Ice Demon quietly moves along behind her, eyeing her to see if she falls over
<Kaelan> "Mmm... Jean does need rest still though. This isn't good."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Then we sit down to rest and turn the stone off to conserve what we can.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael brushes some of her hair aside, still pretty quiet. She pauses. "Lets keep traveling for a few more minutes." 6* She notes
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glances back and nods to Rachael. 1"We can do that."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok grunts and he starts moving ahead again
<Kit> <Zeal> Do you hear something, lady Rachael?
<DeathStar> 6* Soma pokes a head out from Zeal's breasts, having been taken captive by them again
* Kaelan trudges on, she falls back to put an arm about Jean, supporting her.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Maybe. I'm not entirely sure. 6* She notes as she walks along. Carly leans forward, sniffing Jean's wounds
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well we'll just need to keep our eyes open.
<Kit> Turn off the light and everyone use their right hand along the right wall.
* Kit is now known as Zeal
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas shifts his bags to tap the stone, plunging them into darkness.
* Kaelan looks down at Carly. "No snacking. She's weak."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts his hand against the right wall.
* Kaelan puts her hand along the wall keeping her other arm around Jean.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean begins to giggle after a moment, like a child. Then squeal giggle, squirming
<Kaelan> "Carly... are you licking her?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Jean?
<DeathStar> <Carly the Ice Demon> Just tasting. Not biting
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Knock it off. 6His tone is sharp.
* Kaelan tilts her head. "Can you see in this dark, Carly?"
* Kaelan keeps Jean upright.
<Zeal> I imagine she can-- have you ever seen her carrying a light or any sources back in that ruin?
<DeathStar> <Carly the Ice Demon> Yes. 6* Rachael moves along, her hand not on the wall, and Jean also seems to not be doing it
<Zeal> Truth be told, I could see rather well during that... episode.
* Kaelan moves along, guiding Jean. Her hand stays on the wall. "Well, that's good, you can see if we're walking into danger."
<DeathStar> 6* After a bit, everyone's eyes begin to adjust slowly and they can see the tunnel walls and floor
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers around a bit. 1"I can kind of see.
<DeathStar> 6* The air begins to get colder as well.
<Zeal> I ... believe we are approaching an exit.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> ...I think Zeal's right. It's getting cooler
<Zeal> Or a source of water.
<Kaelan> "Either way it's progress... how far do you think we're travelled?"
<Zeal> Not as far or as quickly as we would above ground-- maybe a few miles.
<DeathStar> <Carly the Ice Demon> Already left Carly's territory long ago
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I don't know, it's been easier to travel down here then up there, we should've gone pretty far by now.
<Kaelan> "With the snow, Zeal? We've likely moved much farther through these tunnels even with our problems."
<DeathStar> 6* As they talk, they can see an exit, with snow falling about ouside.
<Zeal> <Zeal> You forget it twists and turns, and it's much darker so we take it slower-- and lady Al'ryl has needed to rest.
<Kaelan> "Mmm... well we can make camp here, possibly get a fire going or hope there's a town out there somewhere."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> If I'm right about distance wise, we're near Nuege. At least having cut off a day travel time
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It's ok Zeal, you're probably right. 6He eyes the snow falling out of the exit as they get closer
<DeathStar> <Rachael> But it'll be harder traveling outside on all of us- and Jean
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok nods. 1"Even so without the horses."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean looks guilty. "Jean can make it!"
* Kaelan looks at Jean, she smiles. "I think we all need a little rest and warming by a fire before we cross the snow."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well so we have a choice. Stay here and warm up and rest for a bit or just keep going?
<Kaelan> "Essentially, we're not in danger and... if Thomas is going to leave, it'd be nice to have one final camp with him."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas quietly inspects his supplies while they talk
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I still think we should rest; You shouldn't push yourself, Jean. We can sit for a little while at least
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glances at Thomas. 1"You plan on moving along anyways right, Thomas?
<Zeal> For once I would like to agree on that point..
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I'll accompany you to Nuege, naturally. It wouldn't make sense for us to be going to the same city separately.
* Zeal sighs softly.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Just making sure. 6He nods then looks at the others. 1"Then we set up camp.
<Kaelan> "Alright then." *she guides Jean to have a seat to rest*
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok drops some of the stuff off his one side then shifts to set Baby down.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas sets off his supplies as well, stretching his muscles and looking sore. Jean sighs and kneels down to rest.
<DeathStar> 6* Carly keeps watching Jean's neck, licking her icy blue lips
* Kaelan then removes her supplies when Jean is settled, she looks to Carly. "If you're that hungry you can have some of mine."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok rubs Baby's head and he moves towards the exit a bit, eyeing the snow out there.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It wouldn't be a good idea to have your blood drain before a journey through rough terrain
<Kaelan> "I suppose... but she's not drinking Jean."
<Zeal> <Zeal> I do not recall offering any but my own.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pauses to peer back at Kaelan, he looks ahead, making a face. He peers outside to see if he can see anything
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> She tries to take Jeans blood and it'll be the last thing she'll do.
<DeathStar> 6* Carly peers at Dahok slowly
<Kaelan> "I know you didn't Zeal. I'm not exactly leaping at the chance to have a demon drink either."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean blinks at all of them. "Why drink blood?"
<Kaelan> "Carly... feeds off people."
<Zeal> It is strange watching the carefree fisherman become the cynical one.
<DeathStar> <Jean> Don't we feed off things?
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok rubs the back of his neck and he moves back towards the others. 1"It's falling pretty thick out there. Rachael, you still have an idea which way we need to go to Nuege?
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Northward.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael goes through a sack and takes out some jerky, and begins to eat on it
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok turns around, peering as he ignores Zeal's mean words. 1"Which way is north?"
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas points in a direction
<Kaelan> "There are signs we can follow, aren't there? How did you know that?" *she looks at Thomas*
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes the way Thomas points. 1"Thanks Thomas."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Rachael and I have been keeping directions in mind the entire time
<Zeal> 6Zeal doesn't notice Dahok ignoring something she did half a page ago.
<Kaelan> "That's... wow..."
<Zeal> I expect that from lady Rachael to an extent-- but you, sir Thomas? Again I should wonder if you were a cartographer.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Rachael corrected me a few times along the way, but hte tunnels have been pretty straight forward the last few hous
<Zeal> Admittedly I paid it little attention.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I trusted someone was keeping directions.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves and plops down beside Baby and leans against him lightly.
* Kaelan looks over at Rachael. "Think maybe sometime you could give me some pointers in finding a direction? I do seem to get lost a lot even with eyes."
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael peers up, opening her mouth, then closes it. "We'll see."
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar is busy eating food from Dahok's packs
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok slowly peers back at Baby. 1"Hey! You need to ask first."
* Kaelan gets a slightly troubled look on her. "RIght... let's... get a fire going."
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar looks up, then goes right back to eating
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok reaches over and baps Baby's nose.
* Zeal peers over at Rachael. 1"If it would ease her, do not mind me and teach her in my stead."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I just carried you the entire way here and you're going to ignore me?
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar jerks, opening it's mouth of razor sharp teeth
* Zeal moves to sit and fashions a bottle for Soma.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael opens the package of jerky, passing it around to everyone. "We should eat before we set out."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts his hand back and points a finger at him. 1"Hey. When we get to Nuege then you'll get all the food you can eat."
<Zeal> Thank you, lady Rachael.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas opens a book and flips through it quietly, putting on glasses
* Kaelan takes some and nods a little, she looks thoughtful still, she moves over to sit by Rachael.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean takes a piece of jerky, nibbling on it. While Carly sulks as they eat, and sits by Jean once Kaelan leaves to go to Rachael
* Zeal glances over, then peers at Soma. Then back over to Thomas. She inches closer, spying on the book nonchalantly.
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar opens it's mouth and engulfs Dahok's finger, like he's biting it off, without actually nipping it.
* Kaelan keeps an eye on Jean and Carly as she speaks softly. "What's on your mind Rach?"
<DeathStar> 6* Soma mewls at Zeal getting distracted.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok takes a piece of the jerky and pauses to eye Baby. 1"Oh you sly..."
<DeathStar> 6* The book seems to be related to church related stuff.
* Zeal holds the bottle down to Soma, sniffing as she glances over again
<DeathStar> 6* Soma begins to eat, while Rachael peers up at Kaelan. "Nothing."
<Kaelan> "I'm sorry at offending you earlier. I was worried about you."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok slowly takes a bite of his jerky then holds out the rest for Baby
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar opens it's mouth to bite the jerky
* Zeal shifts her eyes from the book to Thomas. 1"..."
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael nods to Kaelan, taking another bite. Thomas flips through pages, as if looking for certain things - it seems to be a personal book, or at least a written copy of various things
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pulls his finger out and tosses the piece to Baby, patting his head. He peers to look at Carly then over at Zeal focusing on Thomas' book. 1"Don't you have someone to watch, Zeal?"
<DeathStar> 6* Jean offers Carly some jerky, and the ice demon looks offended
* Kaelan keeps her eye on Carly, she takes a bite of her jerky. "I want to thank you as well."
* Kaelan is still talking to Rachael.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Hm?
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas peers at Zeal when Dahok speaks, then over at him, then back down at his book. He takes some blank parchment and a feather, then checks his ink, shaking it a bit before using the feather in it to write things down
* Zeal peers at Dahok blankly, then taps Thomas on the shoulder, looking glum.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael doesn't seem to be looking at Kaelan, her gaze on Dahok after he spoke, shaking her head once before returning to watching Jean and Carly
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Yes, Lady Zeal?
<Kaelan> "You were... very helpful and supportive while I couldn't see, a good friend." *she takes another bite of jerky*
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Right. 6He shifts to stay up again, rubbings his shoulders
<Zeal> Can we talk? Alone at some point.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael nods to Kaelan. Carly, meanwhile, begins to ask Jean questions like does she get wounded often
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Of course. Did you want to step outside the cave?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> How's your leg doing Baby?
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar roars
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Good enough to walk yet?
* Kaelan gently hugs her. She then finishes her jerky.
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar ro-o-ars
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael glances at Kaelan, blinking once
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> So I don't have to carry you anymore?
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar covers it's face
* Kaelan glances back. "You need anything, or someone to talk to... I'm here okay?"
<Zeal> If you do not mind...
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> So I need to carry to Nuege, eh?
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas nods, closing the book and moving to rise, stepping out into the cold snow. Rachael nods to Kaelan, then eyes Carly with a frown while she pesters Jean
<DeathStar> <Jean> Jean try not to bleed. <Carly> But do you often? <Jean> ... Sometimes!
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar rolls over onto it's back
* Kaelan pats her shoulder gently and moves over to sit next to Jean and Carly. "Not because she wants to."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Oh you big lug. 6He kneels down rubs his belly
* Zeal adjusts her clothing and rises, following Thomas out
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar's leg kicks
<DeathStar> 6* Carly peers at Kaelan, eyeing her with unreadable eyes
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You like that huh? 6He rubs harder
<DeathStar> 6* The leg kicks harder
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok lays across him 'pinning him'. 1"Hah. I got ya now!"
* Kaelan peers back at Carly. "Are you doing alright Carly? Can I get you anything?"
* Zeal crosses her arms, rubbing them. 1"... Did I do something unforgiveable?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Also being mindful of his injured leg
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar pauses, then 'bites' his neck
<DeathStar> <Carly> Carly fine.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Oh you got me. 6He goes limp
<DeathStar> 6* Jean giggles at Dahok and Baby
<Kaelan> "That's good. Have you ever been out this way before?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok waits for him to let go
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Unforgiveable? I wouldn't say that.
<Zeal> Then what would you say?
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar lets go slowly
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok waits till he's mouths out from his neck and he shifts to straddle him, pushing down on his arms to 'pin' him again. 1"Hah!"
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar leans up and bites his groin.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok's eyes go wide and he lets go. 1"Oh you play dirty."
<DeathStar> 6* Baby tugs on it
* Kaelan peers over at Dahok and Baby. "They're certainly gotten close."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> It's admirable you can see the best in beings, Lady Zeal; I just don't share your belief that the demon - Carly - can restrain itself. Jean doesn't seem to show signs of evil, typically, but the ice demon is a creature that has been killing for who knows how many centuries
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I don't think it wise to be taking her to a place where she can, possiblely, have a buffet.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Ok you win!
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar lets go. Jean nods. <Jean> They're dating!
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You play way to dirty Baby. That's not how two people wrestle.
<Kaelan> * Kaelan blushes, "I-I'm not sure they are...
<DeathStar> 6* Jean shifts to knock Kaelan off, stradle her, and grope her. "Jean win using Baby Style Wrestling!"
<Zeal> I never claimed to be wise...
* Kaelan eeps and blushes harder, she squirms a little. "I-I... guess you win?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts to get off him know and then grabs his waist and starts to spin him around on the ice
<DeathStar> <Thomas> And I don't claim to know if you are right or not about her. Perhaps due to being raised in the church, however, every part of me thinks it best to slay the demon. I don't think I can travel with you all having those feelings. I can't ignore what I feel best.
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar roars pathetically
<DeathStar> <Jean> Baby need help! Kaelan should use Baby Style Wrestling on Dahok
* Zeal frowns slightly, crossing her arms. 1"It is... precisely because I was raised in the church that I feel I must choose as I have..."
* Kaelan blushes and rolls Jean over to get free, she kisses her forehead. "And you should rest."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean blinks, peering up at her forehead, then pouts
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok let's go and starts laughing now, clearly in a better mood
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas nods. "I can understand your need to do that."
* Kaelan blinks and looks down at her. "What's wrong?"
<DeathStar> <Jean> Jean not want to rest.
* Zeal nods slowly. 1"... I suppose there is little I can do, then."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Atleast I'll always know how to beat you Baby. 6He grins at him
* Kaelan plops down on top of her. "Aha, but if I don't get up, Jean has to rest."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean sulks more now. "But what about wrestling Dahok?"
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar bites Dahok's ankle
<Kaelan> "Well, I suppose if you were to rest I could go save Baby."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok blinks then slowly peers down. 1"I...You sly little shit."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> We all do what we feel is right, don't we?
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar tugs Dahok's ankle hard to trip him
<Zeal> No, not everyone..
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok goes down.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Perhaps that is true.
<DeathStar> 6* Carly watches Jean and Kaelan, then pushes Kaelan off Jean and straddles Kaelan. "There. I win."
<Kaelan> "H-Hey! Ummm... C-Carly..." *she looks up at her*
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Ok you got me down here. Now what to you do, Baby?
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar begins to eat Dahok
<DeathStar> <Carly> What do I get now? Blood?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Gah! Not that! That's now how you wrestle!
<Chad`Winters> NRP: not
<Zeal> Most people are running away from themselves, let alone what is true or right.
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar chews on his clothes, then looks ill, coughing
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers over at him. 1"You alright, Baby?" 6he pats his back
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I confess I'm not the best when it comes to reading or understanding people. Your group is very --- complicated, to say the least, to me.
<Kaelan> "I... suppose I could give you a little."
<DeathStar> <Carly> Hm. 6* She gets off Kaelan. "I'd rather have the 'Angel's' blood for saving her."
<Kaelan> "No."
<DeathStar> 6* The bearoar eyes Dahok's clothes like they were diseased
* Kaelan sits up. "For both your sakes."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers down at his clothes. 1"What's wrong?"
<DeathStar> 6* Jean watches Dahok and the bearoar. "He says you need to wash them."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok looks at Jean. 1"Well we've been travelling for awhile." 6He shifts to sit on Baby gently
<DeathStar> 6* Jean leans over to sniff Dahok's clothes curiously
<DeathStar> 6* Carly just looks away, perhaps annoyed
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Does it smell bad? 6He peers down at Jean
* Kaelan sighs and shifts closer to Carly, she hugs her gently. "I believe we can help you, but feeding like that will only cause problems."
<DeathStar> <Jean> Hm. Smells... musty.
<DeathStar> 6* Carly eyes Kaelan incredulously now
<Zeal> We are not all that complicated. I am simply absorbed in my ideals and knowledge. Kael is a frightened little girl coping with things beyond her means and a great deal of loss... better now than before, at least. Sir Fyro is a mongrel with too much curiousity for his own, or any of our, own good who wants to be the strong presence that sir Lankin's death has left us with.
<Zeal> Lady Rachael was essentially sister to sir Lankin, or perhaps even closer... I could not say. On top of being halfelf and travelling with people like myself who have a stigma to them, I am sure it is more than a little to deal with internally.
* Kaelan looks into her eyes gently. "I'm serious."
<DeathStar> <Carly> Do you touch everyone?
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers down at himself again. 1"Musty huh? I'm not used to wearing this much clothing honestly.
<Kaelan> "I suppose I'm a bit touchy feely. I was blind for a little while and touch was kind of important."
<Zeal> Lady Al'ryl is even more childlike than Kael is... without a sense of place or common sense whatsoever-- but is being drawn toward a purpose. As church people, we might even call it a higher calling. What troubles me is that neither her nor the 'Angel' can remember anything about it.
<Kaelan> "Plus, I felt you needed a hug."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> What will you do if she is drawn to something evil?
<DeathStar> 6* Jean smiles. "Could always take it off!"
<Zeal> I made a promise to stop her, even at expense of my own life. As she is now-- she does not wish to do anything evil. I will respect that wish.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It's a bit chilly to take my clothes off. But if we ever go somewhere warm, I'll show ya how to dress.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean blinks. "But Jean can dress herself."
<DeathStar> 6* Carly eyes Kaelan, then goes back to daydreaming about Jean steak
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas nods, then looks up. "Well, we should probably continue in the hopes we reach Nuege before nightfall.
<DeathStar> -TIME JUMP-
<DeathStar> 6* After traveling for a long time, the snow continues to fall, and they begin to reach the afternoon stages of the day.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pauses for a moment, his breathing a bit heavy from carrying Baby and supplies.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas looks around the icy fields, then ahead. Faintly visible in the snow seems to be lights.
<Zeal> Is that..?
* Kaelan moves along, keeping her vigil with Jean while she carries some supplies herself. "A town...?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Nuege I hope.
<DeathStar> 6* Carly, still looking icy demon as ever, sniffs the air. "Carly smell humans."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I suppose that's a good sing, if not disturbing...
<Chad`Winters> NRP: sign
<Kaelan> "Hmm... we should give Carly a spare cloak, she's going to stand out."
<Zeal> Lady Carly, can you... look more like your old self?
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael shifts some of the weight she's carrying as they move along, blinking as the two towers of the Ice Palace can be seen, even from this distance, looking to be made of ice - and the church's tower
<DeathStar> 6* Carly sniffs. "It takes energy. Carly will get hungry faster."
<Kaelan> "Perhaps just hiding her will be better for now..."
* Zeal holds out a vial to her, one she used for salves, but unmistakeably a different colour.
<DeathStar> 6* Carly takes it, eyeing it. "What this?"
<Zeal> I am sure your nose will not be fooled." 6She says with disdain.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> We're almost there Baby. I can already taste the wonderful new foods this place will have.
<DeathStar> <Carly> I like blood fresh. Especially better if person afraid or aroused.
<Kaelan> "With any luck... what?"
* Kaelan peers at Carly.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Amazing. 6* She keeps her eyes on the towers. "How did they make such things?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> What things? 6He squints a bit.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> They made them entirely from ice. 6* He tells Rachael.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> The entire city is made from ice, in fact.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pauses and let's out a whistle. 1"That's cool."
<Kaelan> "Well... makes sense... actually."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pauses then starts laughing to himself.
<Kaelan> "You build a structure out of materials you have. THere's a lot of ice out here."

<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Cool and it's made out of ice. 6He laughs to himself again as he trudges along
<DeathStar> 6* Carly sniffs, but transforms into a young woman, it seems, with brown hair that's shoulder length and blue eyes. She puts the blood away, apparantly not finding it satisfactory
<Kaelan> "I suppose it is cool. It is ice."
* Kaelan shrugs and moves after Dahok.
<Zeal> We have been in an area made of ice for days... how is this... 'cool?'
* Zeal sighs a bit, peering at Carly in disapproval herself.
<DeathStar> 6* As they get closer, they can see the city walls are made of ice as well, and two guards are at the gate

<DeathStar> 6* Jean looks about in awe at places. "So pretty." 6* She hurries past the guards into the city, peering at all the ice buildings

* Kaelan smiles and heads after the two.
* Zeal crosses her arms, finding it hard to get excited over ice formations when they just... nearly froze to death underground in ice.
<DeathStar> 6* As each of them enter, and none of the guards pay attention to them, they'd find the inside of the city a bit warmer, strangely enough, than outside
<Zeal> Hm. Is it merely blocking the wind or... is it actually warmer?
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas pauses finally once they're enough away from the guards, and there's no signs of people near enough to listen. "Well. I think this is where I will part ways, everyone." 6* Rachael looks over at him.
* Zeal jerks, looking to Thomas, then peers away and at the ground, frowning.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pauses to look over at Thomas. 1"You're sure about it then?"
* Kaelan looks back at Thomas. "Nothing we can do to make you want to stay?"

<DeathStar> 6* Thomas pulls out his book, flipping through it. "The Angel's presence in the land of ice will afflict it's people with an unseen death that they cannot flee from."

* Zeal glances upward, looking paler than usual
<Kaelan> "Sounds like the plague... doesn't it?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Then the Angel's presence will cause the land to shake and swallow people whole.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean's eyes widen and she looks down, looking troubled and guilty. Rachael silently says nothing.
<Kaelan> "...The anima?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glances over at Jean. 1"Hey, no matter what happens, we'll stop it, alright?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> And finally the angel's presence will begin a long period of bloodshed of man against man. 6* He closes the book. "If you all want to learn more about the prophecies, I can think of no better place than Nuege's church's library." 6* He nods at the ice tower
<Zeal> The last.. a war. But why would the angel's presence cause a war? I could only think it would unite people against her.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Any other words of wisdom you could give us?
<DeathStar> <Thomas> They horde knowledge here. I plan to see if I can get in myself - or see if my cover has been blown. I suggest, if you want to break in, to try at night. If I can get in, I'll try to keep the guard light if at all possible.
* Kaelan frowns. "Man against man... something tells me we'll have pursuit from Navarro."
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael peers up at the ice tower belonging to the church
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas closes his book now, tucking it back into his satchel, then he pulls off the sacks belonging to the team and setting them down
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok nods and shifts, holding out an arm towards Thomas.
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas blinks at the arm, looking confused a moment, then he mimics the gesture
* Zeal glances at the ground again, quiet.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts and grabs onto his forearm. 1"Safe journeys Thomas. It was a pleasure to meet someone like you."
* Kaelan curtsies to Thomas. "Thank you for everything Thomas."
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I wish you all the best of luck; and I hope that none of the prophecies come true. If you can even make one false, then we can all believe that the final one can also be avoided

<Kaelan> "We'll just have to do that then."
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas bows to them all, then moves off into the city in the direction of the church's tower.
<Zeal> Sir Thomas...!" 6She cracks. 1".. Stay safe."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> ... do you think he'll be okay? 6* She asks after Thomas has moved some ways. "If he was identified, they'll kill him, won't they?"
<DeathStar> 6* Thomas peers back, nodding to Zeal. "You as well, Lady Zeal." 6* He moves on again
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Do you believe word could travel that fast?
<Kaelan> "All he has to do if he was is claim we kidnapped him."
<Zeal> He could say we threatened him." 6She rubs her head.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> we should get a place to stay at for now then.
<Zeal> Right..
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael turns, then pauses. "Where's Carly?"
<Kaelan> "A warm bed and a hot meal sounds great right about now."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers around now as he looks for an inn of sorts
<Kaelan> "Huh?" *she looks back* "I only took my eyes off her a second..."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean looks distracted in her own world still; there's a few inns nearby, since they're near the gate.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok pauses and looks over at the others now. 1"She's gone?"
* Zeal takes a breath, hissing through her teeth, having been focused on Thomas.
* Zeal glances around, thinking surely she would head toward people.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok makes a face, clearly looking annoyed at that.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael looks grim. "I guess we should get a room at the inn, then split up to find her."
<Zeal> I will begin immediately, you go on ahead.
* Kaelan rubs her head. "Agreed. Damnit... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have taken my eyes off her."
<DeathStar> 6* JEan pauses, then holds out her hands for the supplies Zeal is carrying.
<Zeal> ... Thank you, lady Al'ryl." 6She nods, slowly handing them over.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Yeah, we should. 6He points at an inn. 1"We'll try there."
* Zeal nods, then moves off to search for the brown-haired girl
<DeathStar> 6* Jean trudges toward it with Zeal's belongings, and Rachael follows.
* Kaelan grabs up some of what Thomas dropped along with what she had and trudges towards the inn.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok grabs whatever's left and he makes his way to the inn.

<DeathStar> 6* After a bit of searching, and depending on where each character would think to go after splitting up, the one who thought to check Phan and Pher's Tavern would find Carly, peering at all the drunk men
* Zeal makes her way over to her, frowning a bit. 1"..Lady Carly.." 6She whispers sternly.
<DeathStar> 6* Carly turns to eye Zeal, boredly

<Zeal> What do you think you are doing..?

<DeathStar> 6* Jean pokes her head into the tavern to look around, then blinks when a burly man bumps into her and smacks her ass, telling her to get him some sale

* Kaelan frowns at the man, coming up behind Jean.
<Kaelan> "She's not a barmaid sir. Wave one over if you need a drink."
<DeathStar> 6* The burly man, already on his way to a table, turns to eye Kaelan now

* Kaelan tosses him a coin. "Yes, have a pint on me for the confusion."

<DeathStar> 6* The man catches it, then eyes Jean. "If yer not a barwench, you should come to my table and keep me company! I'll buy you a meal, little lass." 6* Jean perks up
* Kaelan looks over at Zeal and Carly, then shrugs and looks to the man. "How about we both join you sir."
<DeathStar> 6* The man ignores Kaelan, putting an arm around Jean to lead her to his table. "Yer a very pretty lass."
* Kaelan sighs and follows after the two, sticking with Jean.
<Zeal> Lady Carly, did we not have an agreement?
<DeathStar> 6* Carly sniffs once. "Wasn't going to kill."
<DeathStar> 6* The man sits down at the table, literally making Jean fall against him, and he waves a hand at the barmaids. "Ale and food for me and my date!"
* Kaelan takes a seat by them. "And an order for me."
<DeathStar> 6* The man eyes Kaelan. "I didn't invite you."
* Kaelan waves as well, signalling she's ordering for herself.
<Kaelan> "She's family."
<DeathStar> 6* The man leans forward. "I. Didn't. Invite. You."
* Kaelan sits back pointedly. "I didn't ask if I was. That's my sister you have your arm around."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok steps into the tavern, looking exhausted from their travel and from searching high and low for the demon
<DeathStar> 6* Jean blinks. "But Kaelan not related to Jean."
<Zeal> That is not the point, lady Carly. You do not have permission-- and people would not understand with how things are, would they?
<DeathStar> 6* The man peers at Jean, then at Kaelan.
* Kaelan jerks and looks at Jean. "Figuratively."
<DeathStar> <Jean> Fig...ur...atively?
<DeathStar> <Carly> Hmph. You should keep an eye on your other teammates. That man's blood is boiling with delicious anger. 6* She gestures at the man eyeing Kaelan
<Kaelan> "Do you want me to go, Jean?"
<DeathStar> <Jean> No! Jean want to know what figuratively is!
* Zeal narrows her eyes slightly. 1"Lady Carly, I think you misunderstand..."
<Zeal> I want us to have trust. Do you understand me?
<Kaelan> "Oh, well it means because we travel together and are close, we're like family. I'm protecting you."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok starts moving for the counter itself then pauses to look at Jean and Kaelan. 1"What are you both doing in here?"
<DeathStar> <Jean> But Jean protecting Kaelan!
<Kaelan> "Zeal found Carly. We came in and it got complicated from there..." *she jerks again*
<DeathStar> 6* The man eyes Dahok now, and just grunts. "Get, all of you!" 6* He pushes Jean out of the seat; Jean lands on her rump.
* Kaelan frowns and walks around the table to help Jean up.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts to help Jean up. 1"You alright, Jean?"
<DeathStar> <Jean> Y-Yes. 6* She looks completely baffled.
<DeathStar> <Carly> Trust?
<Kaelan> "You didn't do anything wrong Jean. Don't worry."
* Kaelan keeps her eye on the man.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Wait, Zeal found Carly here? 6He looks around and spots them. 1"I...Good." 6He shifts and dusts Jean's butt clean of dirt
<DeathStar> 6* Jean blinks, peering down at her ass, then at Dahok
* Kaelan peers as well.
<Zeal> Yes. I want to be able to trust you-- to do the right thing. If I can rely on you, then you can rely on me. Does that make sense?

* Kaelan coughs a bit. "At any rate, let's get a hot meal while we're here. Zeal can keep working on keeping Carly from getting one too for now." *she speaks softly*
* Zeal rubs her face. 1"If I can trust that you behave yourself-- then you can trust me to protect you. It may seem like I am being annoying-- but I am protecting you."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers back and gives her a smile. 1"Thanks. I should probably try to find Rachael and let her know Zeal found Carly."
<Kaelan> "Sure, bring her back here, we'll order you two up a plate?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I don't know what she likes so we'll just pick something when we get back. But an ale would be nice."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean looks around for a free table.
<DeathStar> <Carly> Carly can protect herself.
<Kaelan> "Sure." *she smiles and hugs Jean a bit, looking around as well*
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You two gonna be alright, while I'm gone?
<DeathStar> 6* The man eyes Kaelan and Jean, snorting. "Lesbihos."
<Kaelan> "We'll be fine."
<DeathStar> <Jean> Yep! ... 6* She blinks at the new word. "What's a lesbiho?"

<Zeal> Lady Carly, if even one person beyond us finds out who... what you are... then the whole town and any knight or templar here or the town next will come for you. You can protect yourself against all that? Besides...

* Zeal frowns slightly. 1"I thought... we had an agreement. You have no interest in staying with me?"
<DeathStar> <Jean> Oh. Lesbihos have sex!"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Indeed. It's quite wonderful to see if you ask me. 6He grins a bit, clearly thinking about something. He shakes his head and smiles at them both. 1"I'll go find Rachael then."
<DeathStar> 6* Carly just crosses her arms, childishly almost. "Fine. Carly be good girl."
<Kaelan> "I guess we're not then, we've never had sex."
* Kaelan shrugs and guides Jean towards another table, away from the jerk.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers at them both with a curious look and he shakes his head to snap out of it and he moves off to find Rachael
* Zeal seems to sulk just slightly. 1"... I wanted you to come with us. I thought it was what you wanted... to not be alone anymore."
<DeathStar> <Carly> Zeal... 6* She uses some forein word Zeal has never heard before.
<Zeal> ... Huh?
<DeathStar> 6* Jean follows along and grabs Zeal's arm to pull her along. Carly pauses, then follows.
* Zeal looks confused.
* Kaelan stops at the first free table she finds.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean sits down, yanking Zeal beside her, and Carly sits on Zeal's other side. To her credit, she doesn't eye the drunk buffet
<DeathStar> <Carly> So you all plan to go somewhere tonight?
<Zeal> We... are staying at an inn. Though sir Thomas gave us a hint on where to go next.
* Kaelan takes a seat. "To an inn we found to sleep, yes. We might hit up the library if we can."
<DeathStar> <Jean> Why would we hit library?
<Kaelan> "Errr... visit it."
<Zeal> Heh." 6She puts a hand to her face.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean pauses, then looks at Zeal curiously. She touches Zeal's face, too
<DeathStar> 6* A waitress moves over to take their orders
* Zeal smiles at Jean.
* Kaelan orders three ales and a plate of food.
<Zeal> Goodness. Can you finish three ales yourself, Kael?
<Kaelan> "The other two are for Rachael and Dahok." *she smiles*
<DeathStar> <Jean> Jean want fruit! <Waitress> Um.. 6* She names various kinds, including fruit native to Nuege. Jean happily picks that and some wine
<DeathStar> <Carly> Blood. 6* She says, straight faced. The waitress eyes her
* Zeal nudges Carly, deadpanned.

<Zeal> Perhaps a rare steak?" 6She squints.
<Zeal> I would like <lamb> if possible and ... a strong wine.
<DeathStar> <Waitress> Lambaa and a rare steak. 6* She nods, moving off to get the orders
* Zeal slowly peers at Carly.
* Kaelan sits back a little, looking a bit relaxed. "We haven't done this in a while."
<DeathStar> 6* Carly looks back
* Kaelan leans forward, looking at Jean, inspecting how much she's recovered.
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok, meanwhile, would not find Rachael
<DeathStar> 6* Jean's wounds are still bandaged, but her face isn't veiny right now, though she has circles under her eyes
<DeathStar> 6* The waitress sets down the tray of food and wine/ale. Jean happily eats on the fruit
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok would check the inn, and then an alternate way back to the tavern
* Kaelan starts to eat as well, taking a good swig of her ale. "Warm food. Perfect."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean waves at Dahok when he returns
* Zeal tries to get Carly to eat the bloody steak, fussing and sipping her wine.
<DeathStar> 6* Carly eyes it, then grabs the steak and sucks on the juice
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok nods, not looking to happy he couldn't find Rachael and he take a seat with them. He then grab an untaken ale and starts to drink it all in one go.
<Zeal> Where... is lady Rachael?
* Kaelan peers over at Dahok. "Couldn't find her?"
<DeathStar> 6* Soma eyes the steak from Zela's breasts, jealously
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> She wasn't at the inn and I couldn't find her.
* Zeal cuts off pieces for Soma since Carly isn't actually eating it.
<Zeal> You ... could not find her?
<Kaelan> "Maybe she just went looking a little further then us."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean pauses in her fruit eating to look at the two. "Maybe went to hit library?"
<Kaelan> "She knows where the inn is."
* Kaelan giggles. "Maybe."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> That's...6He downs the rest of his ale and sets it down. 1"Nope."
<Kaelan> "Nope...?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> To Zeal's second question.
* Zeal stands up quickly. 1"... Lady Carly, behave." 6She moves outward.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> But I doubt she's at the library already.
<DeathStar> 6* Soma cries as the steak gets further away
<Kaelan> "Zeal, I can feed Soma."
<DeathStar> 6* Carly makes a face. "First you say to stay with you, now YOU leave."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves to grab the second free ale now

<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes Zeal at that and he starts to drink the second ale

<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It might be better if Jean is with if they find Rachael
<DeathStar> <Jean> Shouldn't go off alone! 6* She chimes in as she hops outside with Zeal
<Kit> Right..." 6She says quietly. 1'Should not go off alone.."
* Kaelan sighs a bit and looks at Dahok. "Want a third?"
<DeathStar> <Carly> Here, have the angel's wine. 6* She slides it to him
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok gives Jean a thumbs up as she moves off and he looks over at Carly. 1"Wine's for chicks."
<DeathStar> <Jean> So, where look first? 6* She peers at the vendors on the street
* Kaelan picks up the wine glass and sips at the wine, by her looks, she doesn't drink it often.
* Kit nods to where Jean is looking. 1"Give her the doubt... she may be resupplying..."
<DeathStar> 6* Carly leans in, then waves at the barmaid. "Give this male some more ale."

<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok points two fingers at himself then the same two at her. 1"I've got my eyes on you."
<DeathStar> 6* Carly eyes him, then rises. "Fine. Carly not be nice, then." 6* She says icily, and walks off.
<Kaelan> "Carly..."
* Kaelan gets up to follow her.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok sighs a bit and he leans back in his seat.
<Zeal> A girl wearing with dark hair wearing furs.
* Zeal tries to clarify.
<DeathStar> <Vendor> You mean the girl the guards took away?
<Zeal> Guards...? The guards took someone?
<DeathStar> <Vendor> Yeah. Probably one of them elves. They caught three the other day. Took them to the castle.
* Zeal pauses.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean looks at Zeal
<Zeal> How would they know? They look so similar to us.
<DeathStar> <Vendor> They have some sort of stone that glows. At least, it glowed when they passed that girl earlier
<Zeal> Interesting. I should like to see for myself. I am a hunter of sorts.
<Zeal> Where might I find them?
<DeathStar> <Vendor> The guards? I guess at the castle
* Zeal nods to them. 1'Thank you."
* Kaelan takes a seat next to Dahok. "Well... she's gone. And mad."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You're not going to keep following her?
* Zeal turns to eye the castle and begins heading toward it
<DeathStar> <Jean> Shouldn't we get others before going to castle? 6* She follows
<Kaelan> "She vanished. I have no idea where she went."
<Zeal> Not going to fight, lady Al'ryl... just going to do what is called scouting-- besides.. Kael is brash, sir Fyro was drinking and Carly is... unreliable right now.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Great. This'll come back at me now. 6He sighs and rubs his face with both hands
