<DeathStar> Date: 4.26.2389
<DeathStar> Location: En Route
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok and Seth ride alone in a carriage with the one armed Knight and Carly, while the other girls are in the other carriage. It's early into the morning as they travel, and so far the angel has said little, arms crossed and eyes closed
<Zeal> <Zeal> ... ...Lady Angel?
<DeathStar> <Jean> What?
<Zeal> Perhaps you could allow lady Al'ryl to emerge for now?
<DeathStar> <Jean> No.
<Zeal> Why not? You have no desire to socialize... It would not be so tense and quiet..
<Kaelan> * Kaelan keeps her head down, busying herself with fixing a sword frog that was ruined in all the trouble.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean ignores her now
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok leans back in his seat, his eyes peering out the window a bit.
<Zeal> 6Zeal hangs her head, looking hurt and to the side.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael touches Zeal's shoulder sympathically
<Kaelan> * Seth hums a bit as he checks over the feather guides on his arrows, working out of the quiver so as not to stab anyone.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim peers at the four, then stretches and yawns-- conveniently dropping to lie back across Jean.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean jerks, opening her eyes and glares down.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim pinches Jean's cheeks, giggling. 1"Zeal used to do that!"
<DeathStar> 6* Jean makes a face at the pinching. "Stop that."
<Kaelan> Kaelan> *glances up, watching Nephilim and Jean*
<Zeal> 6Zeal glances over, mainly at mention of her name
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Aw, but it's fun!
<Zeal> 6Nephilim tugs, making her faces look distorted in different ways
<DeathStar> 6* Jean reaches through the bandana and grabs Nephilim's ear and tugs - hard.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim jerks, letting go with a squealish howl, wincing
<Kaelan> Kaelan> "Mmm." *she frowns a bit* "I think Jean wins that round."
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael winces herself, just imagining. Jean smiles a bit, then begins to play with the ears, tugging them in different directions, then makes them "Dance"
<DeathStar> <Jean> You are right - it is fun
<Zeal> 6Nephilim yowls and makes her own faces, then just seems to space out, looking dizzy or nauseated-- hard to tell
<Kaelan> * Kaelan frowns a little. "Might have overdone it."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You're awfully quiet Carly.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean finally stops and just strokes one ear, going back to closing her eyes and looking blank again
<Kaelan> * Seth glances between Dahok and Carly.
<DeathStar> 6* Carly, looking out the window, just makes a shrug
<Kaelan> Kaelan> "We should take some time to restock on more then just basic supplies when we reach the town. We wanted to get another tent right? And some clothes?"
<Zeal> 6Nephilim blinks several times and peers at Jean, looking miserable at first, then shifts to relax.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> We will need supplies
<Zeal> <Zeal> I-- I am fine. Until we know where we are going and how the season is, there is no sense in buying clothes.
<Kaelan> Kaelan> "As cute as the maid uniform is Zeal, you could use something more sensible."
<DeathStar> 6* Mercy looks down at her own clothing
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well this is rather boring. 6He peers around at the carriage now.
<Kaelan> * Kaelan peers over at it too as her eyes wander from Zeal to Mercy. "You might want to get some travelling clothes too."
<Zeal> <Azhren> What do you expect..? All the entertaining ones are next over.
<Zeal> <Nephilim> What's wrong with a couple of maids to attend to us?
<Kaelan> Seth> "I'm sure we can think of something entertaining to do."
<Kaelan> Kaelan> "Nothing essentially, but... I wonder if that can be comforterable with all the things we tend to do."
<Zeal> <Azhren> Such as? If you say arm wrestling, I'll be sure to take one of yours.
<Kaelan> Seth> "Thumb wrestling?"
<Zeal> <Zeal> I am accustomed to layered and complicated clothing...
<DeathStar> <Jean> ... 6* She opens the carriage door suddenly and yells at the Knights on the horses. "Stop the carriages." 6* The Knights peer back, and slow them down to a stop. Jean hops out of the carriage without adjusting Nephilim's body first
<DeathStar> <Mercy> A servant should wear the clothes they are given
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I see you're still full of...6He peers at the carriage stop and he moves to a door and opens it up, then looks outside
<Kaelan> * Kaelan frowns a bit and moves out after her.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim exclaims, tumbling out with her. 1"H-Hey, what's the big idea..?"
<Kaelan> * Seth looks around. "So what's going on out there Dahok?"
<Zeal> 6Azhren raises his brow, stepping out with heavy footfall and reflexively reaching for the blade strapped atop the roof.
<DeathStar> 6* Up ahead are two large ice/rock ridges that seem to be about 40 feet tall, and between them is a narrow valley of sorts - if one squints, they can make out the port city at the other end. The ridges must provide a natural barrier to invaders that come by land, though it seems the ridges are climbable with effort
<Zeal> 6Zeal peers out one of the windows, worried it's more slavers.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean stares ahead at the path that will lead them to the port city, frowning in thought
<Zeal> <Nephilim> What's up? We're practically there.
<Kaelan> * Kaelan peers out at it after following Jean's gaze. "Something wrong?"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes Jean then the way up. 1"You think someone's waiting for us don't you."
<DeathStar> 6* As Kaelan appears around, she'd hear a female voice inside her head. "Kaelan Di'Neer. Listen carefully to my words, my child, and give no indication that you are hearing them until after I have spoken what I wish to communicate with you - then you may make your own decisions about what to do
<DeathStar> <Jean> Mmm. 6* She keeps her eyes closed, peering ahead
* Kaelan peers ahead as though she hears nothing at all.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim eyes Jean, then lifts her bandana slightly, her ear perking and holds a hand to it, listening
<Zeal> <Zeal> It seems we are almost to the port..
<Zeal> <Azhren> Well? What is the danger?
<Kaelan> * Seth looks out, fixing his bow up to be ready.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Not sure, but the fact Jean's stopped us means it's something big
<DeathStar> <Female Voice> I am the goddess Lenneth - your exploits has brought my attention to you, my child. 6* The voice speaks on. "As a manner of good faith, I will tell you how I am communicating with you - Harbinger still has ties in you, my child, even if he cannot see through your eyes, when you are near any god, they will sense you like a beacon of light in the dark."
<DeathStar> <Jean> Let me focus. 6* She notes gruffly, looking troubled. Rachael leans out as well, trying to listen
* Kaelan looks along the chasm and frowns a little, seeing nothing.
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> Harbinger knows you are heading for this city, as it is the only means to leave that continent by ship - and if he cannot snare you here, he will simply wait at your next destination and try again. The Church is inside, waiting for you to enter, and will pounce on you the moment you enter if you tarry too long. They have the power to sense any who have been near the angel.
<Zeal> <Nephilim> I don't hear anything strange..
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Then again, I don't hear anything at all but the wind. What of the <seagull>s?
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> I have an idea on how to end this resolution and stop the angel from destroying the world, and satisfying my brethern to no longer hunt you all. When you enter the city, proceed immediately to the Inn of the White Tigoar, and I will be there to tell you how it may be. While I prefer you come alone, if you feel safer, bring one or two companions. (Cont)
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> If you wish to tell your group of my words, you may do so, but I advise against telling the angel - she will not go along with the plan, and all will be lost. I will wait an hour only - after that, Harbinger will no longer be satisfied to merely wait, and the city itself may suffer as he searches for you.
<DeathStar> 6* The voice fades away
<DeathStar> <Jean> ... something does not feel right, but I do not know what.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean finally admits, opening her eyes
<Zeal> <Nephilim> You're so cute. That's natural-- it's called paranoia.
* Kaelan crosses her arms, "It's possible the Church is waiting for us."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> We should take a different route in then.
<DeathStar> <Knight 3> This is the only route in
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok points at the ridges. 1"We could climb up that way.
<DeathStar> 6* The Knights study the tops of the ridges - guard posts can be made out faintly on their tops
<DeathStar> <Jean> No. 6* She says after a moment ,shaking her head.
<Kaelan> "We go in the normal way, unless you want suspicion."
<Zeal> <Zeal> It would be difficult to explain two abandoned carriages and carrying all of our supplies over those..
<DeathStar> <Jean> You all will proceed into the city with the King's people; I will wait out here for a time. That way if people are there, you are likely to get in easier. I'll find my own way in. Carly will join me, since she's a demon
<Zeal> <Nephilim> I could sneak in, too!
<Kaelan> "Hmm... possible. We should all think of a meeting place, the docks is the most obvious of choices."
<Kaelan> "Or whatever they use for a harborage."
<DeathStar> <Jean> Once you're in, follow these Knights and get the King's ship ready. I'll meet you there.
<Kaelan> "Alright."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Sounds like a good plan.
<Zeal> <Nephilim> What about me..!?
* Kaelan looks at Jean. "Good luck to you."
<DeathStar> <Jean> You'll go with them. 6* She indicates the others
<Zeal> 6Nephilim dances childishly around Jean
* Kaelan looks at Neph, "You're comin with us."
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Ah!" 6She looks aghast. 1"You're so mean."
<DeathStar> <Jean> Zeal is in charge until I return.
<Kaelan> "Should we leave you a horse?"
<Zeal> 6Zeal leans out slightly, gaping. 1"M-Me?"
<DeathStar> <Jean> You're myself proclaimed Knight. Or are you finally seeking new employment?
<DeathStar> 6* Jean just shakes her head at Kaelan
<Zeal> 6Zeal jerks, looking culled.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts to hold a hand out to help Carly out of the carriage
<Zeal> <Zeal> Y-Yes, my lady.
<Kaelan> "Zeal will be fine. Let's get moving, pausing here too long will cause further suspicion."
<DeathStar> 6* Carly hops on out without a hand, and dusts her rump in front of Seth
<Kaelan> * Seth enjoys the view.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean moves to walk eastward a bit, and Carly skips after her
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Travelers pausing to enjoy the view are suspicous? Are you in a hurry to buy clothes, Kael?
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Heh! I thought that was Zeal's fetish.
<DeathStar> 6* The Knights look visibily relieved at the angel leaving, giving each other glances
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes his hand and shrugs. He glances at the Knights. 1"You guys aren't planning on saying anything, are you?"
<Kaelan> "You could say that. Zeal, Rachael, our carriage."
<Zeal> <Azhren> You heard her-- let's get moving, people.
* Kaelan moves to get back in.
<DeathStar> 6* The Knights jerk, eyeing Dahok, then moves to get their horses ready to move again
<Zeal> 6Zeal stares, having never got out in fear of bandits or slavers.
<Kaelan> "Dahok, yu're welcome to join us. I have something I'd like to say."
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael shifts to sit back down
* Kaelan gets back in and takes a seat, waiting.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glances at her then moves to their carriage to get in
<Zeal> 6Azhren peers after Dahok, then Seth. 1"In."
<Kaelan> * Seth gets in the other carriage.
<Zeal> 6He then moves to get back in, still holding the sword.
* Kaelan waits for them to get in quietly.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok takes a seat in the carriage
<DeathStar> 6* The carriages move forward again
<Kaelan> "We have exactly one hour to get in and get to the ship. After that Harbinger will come for us."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> What?
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers at Kaelan. 1"What now?"
* Kaelan takes a breath. "When we stopped, Lenneth talked to me in my mind, warned me that the Church was waiting for us."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Lenneth...?
<Kaelan> "The goddess of heroes. It seems not all the Gods are after us."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You've been hearing voices in your head?
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael just stares at her. "The Goddess... Lenneth...spoke to you?"
* Kaelan nods.
<Zeal> <Zeal> You still have connections.." 6She frowns, obviously considering consequences.
<Kaelan> "It's because of what Harbinger did to me. I have some sort of connection."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok rubs the back of his head. 1"And how can we trust it?"
<Kaelan> "Yes, though Harbinger can't tell where we are unless we get close to him."
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael looks worried as well. "So the gods can speak to you----that cannot be a good thing."
<Zeal> 6Nephilim hangs upside-down in the window of the carriage. 1"Harbringer did-- something to you? Heh! Troublemaker."
<Kaelan> "I don't like it either. This will end one of two ways, Lenneth is actually helping us and we escape, or I stay behind and lure the Church from all of you so you can get away."
<Zeal> <Zeal> It does not mean 'not all the Gods are after us.' At this point it merely means at the very least this one's tactics are different until we know otherwise.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I don't think it matters where we are, Harbinger will still come after us so you might as well stick with us
<Kaelan> "She's given us an invite to meet with her. At an inn in the city. I've been told I can bring one or two people with me if I want."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I don't like the idea of you staying behind to be bait... 6* Mercy quietly listen
<Kaelan> "She... told me another thing, if we escape on olur own, Harbinger will wait for us where we are going."
<Zeal> <Zeal> We could be used for randsom..
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well I don't trust the Knights that are with us anymore.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Do you think they will tell on us?
<Zeal> <Zeal> How would Harbinger even know where we go?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I'll go with you Kaelan. If it's a trap, well I'll make sure you get out at the least
<Kaelan> "He knew we'd be here."
<Kaelan> "We have to assume that Nuege is compromised and someone told on us."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Since Angel plans on leaving me behind anyways, it could be a win/win situation. And yeah I do. They're scared, what they've seen so far is enough to make them believe the Gods are right about the Angel
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael glances at Mercy, who is peering at her lap, then back at the others.
<Kaelan> "I can bring a third, but I suggest that the carriages make it to the ship while we go to meet Lenneth."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> We'll need a few people to make sure the Knights do not tell on us - there are six of them
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> We bring a third, then that's another person we could lose if it's a trap.
<Kaelan> "True, so Dahok and I will go. The rest of you will have to make sure the Knights behave."
<Zeal> <Nephilim> I want to come!
<Kaelan> "...You should also make sure Mercy gets on the ship, if they know about us, they know Mercy is with us, and the Knights will tell them."
* Kaelan peers at Nephilim, then the others. "Zeal's in charge... so I can't give orders."
<Zeal> <Zeal> A-As if anyone listens to me.
<Zeal> <Nephilim> What's 'orders' have to do with it? I want to come. I'm coming.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I think you'd be better off watching the knights.
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Why? I don't care what they do.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Because they can stop us from getting on that ship.
<Kaelan> "She can come, we don't need this debate."
<Zeal> <Zeal> If they do then we never had a ship to begin with.
<Zeal> <Nephilim> I want to see a goddess! I'm coming!
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael quietly rubs her fingers together. The sounds of people can be heard faintly
<Zeal> <Zeal> Although I would think sir Fyro would be better utilized aboard the ship... none of us have any experience with running one..
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Then I guess that means we'll have...what four people watching six knights?
<Kaelan> "Those coming with me... we're getting out, I don't want to race the clock any more then we have to. The ship needs to set sail within the hour or the people of this town will suffer."
<Kaelan> "You can probably trust Azhren to help us."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> His allegiance lies with his King and his comrades.
<Kaelan> "He didn't like how they acted with Mercy. He has an alliegance, he also has morals."
<Zeal> <Zeal> Hm... He seems most loyal to lady Mercy, actually, sir Fyro. He has already intimidated them into holding their tongues about lady Mercy's branding.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Alright then. 6He shifts to get up now.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael peers at Mercy, then at the others. The carriage comes to a stop and voices are heard
<Zeal> <Zeal> Then again, you could be right about his allegiance-- though remember it was the King's wish for us to board the ship and begone for now.
<Kaelan> "We should wait till the carriage is moving again, so we know we're inside the city."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> These are also the old King's knights, not the current ones.
<Zeal> <Zeal> A knight's orders come from the living, not the dead. Betraying the living for the dead only begets you sooner service to the fallen.
* Kaelan puts a finger to her lips.
<DeathStar> 6* There's a knock on the carriage door. "Open up and prepare to be searched by the Church."
<Zeal> 6Nephilim leans out of the window and sits up on the roof of the carriage, blinking.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok sits back down.
<Zeal> 6Zeal jerks slightly, then sheepishly peers at the others before moving to open the door and step out.
* Kaelan puts a hand on her shoulder to stop her.
<Zeal> 6Zeal glances at Kaelan questioningly.
<Kaelan> "They can sense if we've been close to her, I think." *she sys softly*
<DeathStar> 6* A hand hits the door harder. "I said to open up."
<Zeal> <Zeal> If that is the case, we are already close enough for that to happen, no? Refusing to open it will only get us detained on general principle..
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Just open it.
<Kaelan> "Be ready to resist."
<Zeal> 6Zeal nods, but shrugs Kaelan off and opens it, peeking out. 1"I am sorry, sirs. My lady was resting."
<DeathStar> 6* Five Church Templars, wearing insignias that seem to indicate they're of a different branch than the mine division. As the door opens, they peer at Zeal, then inside. The lead Templar gestures for his people to start searching, and reaches to begin looking down at a stone, which is glowing, Zeal can see. Right as the Templar grabs it to lift it up, a new voice speaks
<DeathStar> <Man's Voice> I will take over here, Knight Odin. 6* The Templar turns around stiffly, a face of annoyance, that quickly is wiped off when he sees who spoke. Thomas stands there in a similiar outfit as the Templars
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers at Thomas
* Kaelan does her best to contain her relief.
<Zeal> 6Zeal peers, unable to help looking surprised, then leans in. 1"Milady Hilund, will you accompany me?"
<DeathStar> <Thomas> These people are from the Capital of Nuege and bring information on the Angel. I will speak with them personally. Understood? 6* Odin nods stiffly, dropping his hand and waves his people on; as he walks, he peers back at Thomas, suspiciously
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael blinks, then eyes her clothing of typical furs and wintery clothes, but moves to slide out slowly. Mercy, meanwhile, is studying Thomas
<Kaelan> "We don't have to get out. Sir, would you join us?"
<Zeal> <Zeal> Forgive her appearance, sire. We were entertained by bandits... of sorts on our travels..
<DeathStar> <Thomas> Is that correct? I hope they did not steal any information the Church would find important. 6* He eyes Kaelan with a warning look, then back at Zeal.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim rolls to the other side of the carriage, peering down, then grins, hopping down and leaning to Rachael to whisper. 1"Hee, is this who Zeal has a crush for?"
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael jerks a bit, peering at Nephilim, then ahead.
* Kaelan quiets for now. Watching.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts his hands behind his back as he waits.
<Zeal> <Zeal> No, sire. They only had an eye for us females.
<Zeal> 6Azhren begins to approach the conversation from the other carriage.
<DeathStar> 6* The Templars hang out around the edge of a corner, watching while trying to remain hidden.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> I see. The information is of the utmost importance. I will give you ten minutes to settle yourselves into an inn, but then you must come to the Church immediately for questioning. 6* He notes, letting his voice carry on the wind
<Kaelan> * Seth peers out of the carriage quietly, taking in the scene.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Understood.
<Zeal> <Zeal> Where might you suggest, sire?
<Kaelan> "Of course."
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Yeah, 'sire,' we don't know the area, she grins, moving toward Thomas, quickly walking a circle of him to inspect.
<DeathStar> <Thomas> An inn near the docks would probably be best. 6* He leans in to whisper. "Get out of the city and quickly." 6* He warns, then turns to move in the direction of the other Templars, which forces them to pull back more
<Zeal> 6Zeal frowns, uttering quietly. 1"Yes, they know of us."
<Kaelan> "Everyone back in. Let's go."
<Zeal> 6Zeal bows pollitely to Thomas as he leaves, then enters the carriage last, waiting for Rachael to go first. Nephilim hops back atop it.
* Kaelan eyes Dahok and says quietly, "We'll get out and make our way for the meeting spot when we've got a crowd to lose ourselves in."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok nods in response
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael settles down. "I didn't realize Thomas was a Templar...I thought he was a scholar."
<DeathStar> 6* She says, once in the carriage
<Kaelan> "They have Templars for a lot of things I wager."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Apparently he was hiding stuff from us.
<Kaelan> "Or he's been promoted. Either way, he helped us. Dahok and I need to head to the Inn of the White Tigroar."
<Zeal> <Zeal> Of course I cannot say I trust him at this moment, but he did warn me...
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I doubt someone get's promoted that fast.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> But I don't know Templars. 6He holds his hands up helplessly
* Kaelan sits back, waiting.
<Kaelan> "The lot of you need to get the ship preparing for departure, Dahok and I will get there as soon as we can... Nephilim too."
<Zeal> <Zeal> I wonder if his name is really Thomas..
<DeathStar> <Rachael> ... He did look worried for you, Zeal. 6* She notes softly.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You'll have to ask him the next time you see him.
<Zeal> <Zeal> I-- sadly I could not tell. He was convincing to me speaking only of information." 6She looks depressed.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> His eyes told it.
<Kaelan> "He got us through, that should be enough."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Let's stop waisting time
<DeathStar> 6* The carriage moves along slowly
<Chad`Winters> NRP: wastiing
<Kaelan> "We are rather short on it. Lenneth said that Harbinger would only wait for an hour before he started searching."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> You think the Templars will even give us that?
<Kaelan> "They already haven't."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> It seems too risky to even see this Lenneth.
<DeathStar> 6* As they move along, they can hear the sounds of a market.
<Kaelan> "Hence why I want to get lost in a crowd and fast. We're probaby being followed."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> That...Odin. He didn't seem to trust Thomas. Do you think he's after us still?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Good bet.
<Kaelan> "Most definately."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Well ultimately we need to get Zeals final say on this all since she's leader.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Oh no. 6* She murmurs as a thought strikes her
<Zeal> 6Nephilim spies about from atop the carriage at the crowd, grinning and rubbing her hands.
* Kaelan peers out the window. "Yes, and it needs to happen now, a market is a good place to get lost in."
<Kaelan> "...Rachael?"
<Zeal> <Zeal> Wh-What?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Worried about Jean and Carly.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> If we do give ourselves away now, then Odin will surely tell the Church that Thomas let us go, won't he?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Very likely he will. It'll come down to his word against Thomas'
<Kaelan> "If we leave without incident, then it's likely he can say he was mislead."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> But when we don't show up like we were supposed to, it'll definetly put him at odds.
<Zeal> <Zeal> As of now, he gave us a deadline to meet at the enclave-- he would not be proven traitorous..
<Zeal> <Zeal> He would merely be 'embarassed' at letting us slip by when we do not show..
<Kaelan> "Correct."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I don't think the Templars will be that easy on him.
<Kaelan> "I want to go talk to Lenneth, if she's serious about what she said, this may get the church off our backs."
<Zeal> <Zeal> W-- W-We are not all heartless and evil, sir Fyro!!
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I could always go and see the Church. 6* She notes
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Pretend to meet with Thomas
<Zeal> 6Zeal blinks at Rachael. 1"You..?"
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Is it worth the risk?
<DeathStar> <Rachael> You said I was the lady. Wouldn't it be my place to go?
<Zeal> <Zeal> I-- If you do, I wish to..
<Kaelan> "I don't like the idea."
<Kaelan> "But we have an hour."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Someone might recognize you, Zeal, and we need people to watch the Knights
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> We'll be spreading ourselves way to thin if we keep doing that.
<Kaelan> "We can send Seth with Rachael, he's a new face and a member of the Hunter's guild."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I'm willing to go with Kaelan to make sure if this Lenneth proves traiterous, she can atleast make it back alive.
<Zeal> <Zeal> I have never been to Nuege. I am only known by some in Navarro because of the bishop's liking-- this country is at odds...
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Well, you're our leader, Zeal - in the end, we'll go where you say to go
<Zeal> 6Zeal recoils, then frowns, looking nervous and pressured.
<DeathStar> 6* The carriage slows as it works it's way through the market
<Kaelan> "My suggestion is Dahok and I go see Lenneth, Rachael and Seth go to the church."
<Zeal> 6Nephilim hops down, keeping pace with the carriage, but slipping through people, smiling.
<Kaelan> "We need to give time for Jean and Carly to get to the boat at any rate."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> And leave Azhren and Nephilim to watch the knights?
<Kaelan> "Neph's going to follow us even if we tie her up."
<Zeal> <Zeal> I-- I do not know or trust Seth alone... I am her m-m.. m-maid. I will go.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Unless Zeal orders her to.
<Kaelan> I guess Azhren and Seth watch the Knights. We need to get moving reguardless."
<Zeal> <Zeal> Right...
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Mmm. Zeal, if you'd rather, you and I can stay with the boat. Thomas did say to get out
<DeathStar> 6* She looks at her
<Kaelan> "I'd prefer that myself."
<Kaelan> "I could also go see Lenneth with just Neph, if we need the numbers."
<Zeal> <Zeal> The knights would surrender on spot-- numbers means nothing..
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Zeal, tell us where you want everyone.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael looks out. "And hurry, we are almost through the market."
<Zeal> 6Zeal peers to the side, sighing. 1"I-- w-want to see Thomas. It is our only opportunity to learn anything before we go, but..."
<Kaelan> "He didn't intend you to go if he told you to get out."
<Zeal> <Zeal> My common sense says to stay away. I would endanger him.
<Kaelan> "Pick." *she moves to the door, ready to get out*
<Zeal> 6Zeal starts to look annoyed. 1"Go already. It is not as if you have ever listened to me in the past, so quit patronizing me by pestering me to decide something that has nothing to do with your own task!"
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes Zeal at that and gets up to go with Zeal.
<Chad`Winters> NRP: Kaelan
<Kaelan> "Alright, good luck." *she opens the door and slips out of the slow carriage, moving into the crowd*
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Looks like the old Zeal's back. 6He notes and slips out after Kaelan.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim gazes over to see them exiting and pauses in her dainty finger dancing amongst townsfolk to scurry after them
* Kaelan smiles a little, waiting for Dahok to catch up, then looks for a merchant to ask about the inn.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael eyes Dahok as he goes, then leans over to close the door. The camera focuses on them, then she speaks plainly
<Zeal> 6Zeal sits back, closing the carriage door, frowning and a hand to her chest, heaving.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I don't trust Kaelan. 6* She notes carefully
<Zeal> <Zeal> It is hardly a matter of trust... even with the precautions and sacrifice made, she remains a tool of lady Al'ryl's enemies...
<DeathStar> <Rachael> But think about it - why didn't she say anything before the Angel left us? And why is she so eager to see Lenneth, when we could eb using this time to get the boat gonig?
<Zeal> <Zeal> She is naive, lady Rachael... she could earnestly believe that it is not a feint or deception... in which case she did not speak of it to the lady angel who would not have any of it.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Hm, that makes sense.
<Zeal> <Zeal> Lady angel would scorn any dealings with any of the church or gods before truth or reason are applied...
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Have you decided, then? Do we see Thomas, or watch the Knights?
<Zeal> <Zeal> Sometimes I wonder, in that sense, if the lady Angel only keeps me around to test the fealty of templars and those of faith. As if sarcasm.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Or maybe she trusts you.
<Zeal> <Zeal> I want to-- but I should not. It is simply not rational to go to Thomas. What would we even say?
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I don't know. 6* She admits honestly; the smell of the sea drifts in slowly and the carriages come to a stop.
<Zeal> <Zeal> Oh, sister. I speak of the lady angel, not lady Al'ryl-- the angel trusts no one..
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I speak of her, too. Out of all of us, she has yet to shake you as hard as anyone else. She simply seems to accept your being there so far
<Zeal> <Zeal> She denounced me the same as anyone originally... laughing at my oath to protect her and my weakness and inability to do so.. I am not so sure..
<Zeal> <Zeal> But I am determined to keep my word, as always.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael nods, and gets out of the carriage. The Knights are moving to the docks to speak to what seems to be royal guards. Though the dock area has many ships all around, this part of the dock seems to have large, majestic ships, and even war ships
<DeathStar> 6* Two Knights go to talk to the guards, while one stays with the carriage, and two move off altogether along the docks
<Zeal> 6Azhren steps out, moving to be with them-- either to keep an eye or to stretch his legs as well.
<DeathStar> 6* Mercy steps out as well and looks over the supplies and bags quietly.
<Kaelan> * Seth gets out, looking around carefully. "Wonder which one we're takin."
<DeathStar> 6* The Knights hand the guards some papers, who glance them over, then begin to call out to other guards. As a group of them gather, some nod and hurry to a ship to get it ready - and a few run off into the city
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael watches them go to and forth. The Knights move over and begin to grab the supplies and belongings, moving to carry them to a ship
<Zeal> 6Zeal steps out, moving to Rachael's side and keeping her hands together in posture. She peers toward the ones running into the city. Azhren nods to the group who ran off to prepare, crossing his arms-- he pauses awkwardly, not feeling the other-- and sighs.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I think that one. 6* She points at a medium sized ship
<DeathStar> 6* One Knight drops the gauntlet and eyes it, and mutters something about trash. He begins to kick at it as if to knock it into the sea
<Kaelan> Seth> "Seem alright... everything on the up and up?"
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Up and up?
<Zeal> 6Zeal jerks, moving over and picks it up, frowning at the knight.
<Zeal> <Zeal> Be careful... this may not look important, but it is an heirloom.
<DeathStar> 6* The Knight mumbles something like an apology, then moves on. Mercy begins to help carry the delicate things to the ship.
<Kaelan> * Seth grabs some things and moves to carry them up onto the ship.
<Zeal> 6Zeal walks back to Rachael, offering the gauntlet to her, then bows her head and shifts to help Mercy.
<Kaelan> "Up and up, means everything okay?"
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael takes it, awkwardly sliding it on for now
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I hope so.
<DeathStar> -SCENE SHIFT-
<DeathStar> 6* The buildings here seem to be made from brick and has the air of a trader city - things not only from Nuege can be seen, but other nations, like a tiny melting pot. Some Navarro items are in the market, and even some fish from the Island Nations
<DeathStar> 6* The air is less chilled here, though in the sea, chunks of ice float
<DeathStar> 6* The streets are made of half-frozen dirt and mud
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers at the things from the I.N. with a hint of nostalgia.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim scurries caddy to the other two, browsing the stands and such in the market-- and eyeing certain traveler sorts.
* Kaelan looks around, moving to a merchant to ask about the Inn of the White Tigoar.
<DeathStar> 6* Each merchant just points in a direction once they learn Kaelan wants directions
<DeathStar> 6* Some Church Templars - the normal kind - march down the street and pass them
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok looks at something as the Templars pass by then moves on again
* Kaelan follows where they point, as long as they're not all pointing in different directions. She keeps an eye out for the inn.
<DeathStar> 6* Eventually, they would come along an ordinary inn
<DeathStar> 6* The symbol of a tigoar on a sign
<Kaelan> "I think this is it."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I'll go in first. 6He notes to Kaelan
<Kaelan> "Alright."
* Kaelan waves to the door.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim swoons as she catches up to the two. 1"Heey. They're not loaded or anything, btu people here do alright. Either of you hungry? I got food."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Is it stolen? 6He moves for the door
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Does that change the taste?
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok doesn't say anything and just moves inside the inn, peering around
<Kaelan> "Sure Neph." *she looks about, then moves in after him* "Inside."
<DeathStar> 6* An old man is behind a counter, reading a parchment
<DeathStar> 6* He peers up, then blinks. "Your friend is upstairs. Room 2."
<Kaelan> "Thank you."
* Kaelan looks at Dahok, as if to see if he still wants to go first.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glances at the old man then moves to go upstairs
* Kaelan moves up after him.
<DeathStar> 6* There are 4 rooms above. Room 2 looms on the right side
<Zeal> 6Nephilim peers at the two, then follows, chomping an apple.
* Kaelan moves over to room 2 and knocks.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves upto the door
<DeathStar> 6* Immediately a female voice responds. "Enter."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok opens the door and moves to step in
* Kaelan lets him go first, then moves in.
<DeathStar> 6* The room is neat and tidy and clearly not in use. A figure stands near a window, wrapped up in a dark cloak, their face hidden in show, though it's clearly a female jaw, and two gray/silver like eyes peer at them from the hood. "Kaelan Di'neer. Dahok Fyro."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> So you even know my name.
<Kaelan> "Lenneth?" *she asks quietly*
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> I am the goddess Lenneth. 6* She notes simply.
<Kaelan> "I came like you asked... and you were right so far in everything you said."
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> And why would I not be? Sit. 6* She motions at the bed.
* Kaelan crosses her arms, looking guarded. "Forgive me, but I'm putting a lot of trust in you and my history with the Gods isn't a very pleasent one." *she moves toward the bed slowly*
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I don't want to rush things, but times against us right now.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim tilts her head, and chomps her apple loudly behind Kaelan and Dahok
<DeathStar> 6* Lenneth keeps her gaze toward Kaelan. "Harbinger is zealous in his approaches, but no less earnest in his desire to protect Tareh." 6* She says simply. "After all, it was preached to you what measures would be taken to stop the angel and what would be done to those who aided her."
<Kaelan> "I know firsthand... he killed me."
<Zeal> 6Nephilim walks over toward Lenneth and gives her the circle-look-over treatment.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> And he's shown exactly what he's willing to do.
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Then made Kael a zombie!
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> When a black viper... 6* She speaks, a snake known for it's poison killing a person almost instantly. "Strikes your hand, you remove the arm to save the whole." 6* She states simply.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Indeed.
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> I, too, believe in that approach. However, I am here to offer you another one. And it will be the only time I offer it.
<Kaelan> "What's that?"
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Believe in making Kael a Zombie approach?
<Zeal> 6Nephilim chomps her apple.
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> Your heroic actions cannot be ignored, even if they are misguided. 6* She reaches into the cloak and pulls out a black collar. "If you put this around the angel's neck, it will seal her powers forever and render her harmless." 6* As she speaks, Nephilim's lips stop moving and she gets nothing out
<DeathStar> 6* Or chomps the apple
<Zeal> 6Nephilim's eyes widen and she smiles, then starts singing silently and walking around banging on things, trying to make noise, humored.
<DeathStar> 6* Nephilim doesn't move an inch
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> The gods will know once her power is sealed, and that will hold the hand of Harbinger, as the destruction of Tareh will no longer come to pass. She will be like an ordinary woman.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes the collar, his arms crossing. 1"See, I've heard that before. And I was thinking on it. When dealing with a black viper, the best approach would be from behind where it can't strike.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim freezes in place like a badly animated time-stop scene in a movie
<DeathStar> 6* Lenneth steps over to Kaelan and sets the collar down, her focus on her entirely. "Harbinger will not stay his hand long before he tears everything apart to stop the angel. This city will become the arm that is poisoned."
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> The choice is yours, my child. Use it or discard it. But you should be on your way either way.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok studies Kaelan.
* Kaelan picks it up and looks at it. She puts it away without a word. "We should, we need to get going."
* Kaelan stands up. "I thank you for the generousity in giving us a chance."
<DeathStar> <Lenneth> Make no mistake, however, child - the angel will bring Tareh to an end, and every living thing will be wiped out. If she is not stopped.
* Kaelan frowns a little. "I won't let that happen, that much I promise."
<DeathStar> 6* Lenneth turns and vanishes in a bright light. Once she is gone, Nephilim can move again, almost comically running into a wall
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> ...If this works on the Angel. I wonder if it'll work on the gods themselves
* Kaelan gets up and helps Neph up. "Now, we run like hell to the sea."
<Zeal> 6Nephilim jerks, falling over, then rubs her nose as she's helped up. 1"That's not fair!"
* Kaelan just looks at Dahok, shaking her head to tell him to be quiet.
<Kaelan> "Let's go."
* Kaelan moves out of the room.
<Zeal> <Nephilim> She didn't say my name, or let me play! Mean old bag.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves after her
<Zeal> <Nephilim> H-hey! Wait up!
<Kaelan> "Hurry up Neph." *she moves down the stairs*
* Kaelan pauses and peeks down before going all the way.
<DeathStar> -SCENE SHIFT-
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael paces worriedly as the ship is still loaded and whatnot. Then jerks when a voice speaks behind her. "Where are the others?"
<Zeal> 6Zeal keeps helping Mercy, either playing her role as one of the maids, or just losing herself to thoughts.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael turns to eye Jean there, peering at her. Mercy stands to the side, no lnger working at this point
<DeathStar> <Rachael> J-Jean. They're... 6* She looks at Zeal, wondering what to say
<Kaelan> * Seth looks over, grinning at Jean. "Oh good, you made it."
<DeathStar> <Jean> Mmmm. 6* She says nothing more, then looks at Mercy and the one-armed Knight. "It will be too dangerous for you two to travel in the carriages anymore; there is a boat being prepared for you two. To either go back to Nuege, or wherever you decide." 6* Mercy looks up
<Zeal> 6Azhren pauses, then looks to Mercy.
<Zeal> <Zeal> The others are... well... meeting Lenneth.
<Kaelan> Seth> "I'd avoid Nuege, it looks like someone's tipped them off back there."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean looks at Zeal, a bit surprised. "I am surprised you would tell me that. I guess I was right to trust you."
<Zeal> <Zeal> ...It would serve me no purpose to lie. I dislike deception, you would only find out anyway and then lose trust in me or cast me aside...
<DeathStar> <Jean> I won't cast you aside. 6* She notes, then peers at Mercy. "When Dahok arrives, he will sail the ship for you."
<Zeal> <Zeal> Though I might add that Kael's intentions would likely be mine own... She only sought a way to remove us from harm. Yourself included..
<Kaelan> Seth> "Lenneth? Now I feel out of the loop. I know who she is and all, but the goddess of Heroes?"
<DeathStar> <Jean> We'll see what Kaelan does. Do not say anything about telling me.
<DeathStar> <Jean> I'm curious what the goddess wants
<Zeal> <Zeal> Sir Fyro did go with her-- proclaiming that he would make sure her and Nephilim return even at his own expense, however..." 6She peers to the side.
<Zeal> 6Zeal nods about not saying anything and moves back to grasp Rachael's arm.
<DeathStar> 6* Mercy quietly folds her hands to herself. Jean quietly peers at town, sniffing the air once, then frowns, looking trouble. Rachael looks at Zeal, offering a small smile
<Zeal> <Azhren> What is your wish, lady Mercy?
<Kaelan> * Seth rubs the back of his head and looks out towards the ship.
<DeathStar> <Mercy> King Arcane will be waiting for us. 6* She notes simply.
<Kaelan> Seth> "I'd go elsewhere, just a warning. I doubt you'll be safe in Nuege."
<DeathStar> 6* On the edges of the market, Church Templars slowly seem to gather about, as if "Browsing" at the stands. First there is five, then seven, then twelve
<Zeal> <Azhren> As you wish... however I would insist saying nothing of the mark's origin.
<DeathStar> 6* Mercy bows in agreement
<Kaelan> Seth> "Mmm... this is going to be a close call."
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael looks over, then seems worried.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Someone must have told them...
<DeathStar> 6* She then recalls the Knights that snuck off
<Kaelan> Seth> "One of the Knights?"
<DeathStar> 6* As Kaelan and Dahok reach near the docks, they'd find the market crowded with Templars.
<Zeal> <Zeal> I was hoping they were merely getting launch clearance..
<DeathStar> <Rachael> There was no way we could have watched them all
<Kaelan> * Kaelan looks at Dahok, then Neph.
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Hmm. Church knights..
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok clicks his tongue at that. 1"Should've asked her to get us to the ship safely.
<Kaelan> Kaelan> "We need a distraction."
<Zeal> 6Nephilim pauses, then peers over, waiting for two people crossing paths and casually leans her foot back to trip one of them.
<DeathStar> 6* The person trips, then turns to see who caused it
* Kaelan looks for a path to the docks with minimal templars.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers around, trying to find a way also
<DeathStar> 6* They could try to travel between buildings, but it's impossible to say if it would work out; the market road seems to be the only way to the docks really
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Wowww." 6She leans back toward the fallen. 1"You going to let that guy get away with that? He totally dissed you."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Guess this is where we're parting ways then.
<Kaelan> "Dahok..."
<DeathStar> 6* The man rises, peering at who Nephilim is pointing at, then moves over and taps the guy's shoulder, politely asking he apologize. They calmly and politely work things out, then go to get a drink
<Zeal> 6Nephilim stares, then busts out laughing. 1"Wow, that was ... great!"
* Kaelan peers at Dahok.
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Wonder how they'll buy drinks without their money, though...
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> The only way to get through is to get them away. And I already said I'd make sure you get back to the ship.
* Kaelan bites her lower lip. "...Okay... be safe."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Like I said, I'm sure this is where we'll be parting ways.
* Kaelan nods and taps Neph's shoulder, getting ready to run.
<Zeal> <Nephilim> Oh quit being dramatic!
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I'm only going to be able to get a some of them. You two will have to worry about the rest.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok begins moving towards the templars now.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim holds up a hand to Kaelan, then moves toward one of the buildings and leaps upward, scrambling to scale its facing and sit on its edge, then holds up her hand and starts to bellow a song loudly across the way.
* Kaelan blinks and stares a moment.
<DeathStar> 6* Some people look over at Nephilim, pointing at her like she were odd. The Templars only spare a glance, then go back to eyeing the docks; there's about 20 of them now
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok glances at Neph, then the templars, eyeing to see if he can get behind them unnoticed
<DeathStar> 6* He wouldn't stand a chance.
* Kaelan makes her way down the road, not wasting any more time. Letting Dahok go ahead and she moves to where the Templars seem least thick in numbers.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves a bit towards them then whistles loudly at them.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim pouts slightly, then starts to sing her lullaby, wondering if meteing at the source the angel spoke of to her would have any effect
<DeathStar> 6* Two Templars look at Dahok briefly
<DeathStar> 6* The end of the hour is rapidly approaching, Kaelan would note.
* Kaelan looks up to Neph a moment as if to relay that very message.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Hey! I think I saw the Angel back at the entrance.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim pouts even more then starts to obnoxiously shout in song about the lame dolls of the church and their foolish ways.
<DeathStar> 6* The two Templars proceed to ignore Dahok
<DeathStar> 6* One Templar, Odin, points at Nephilim, and an archer takes aim and fires an arrow at him. Odin, meanwhile, begins to march toward the docks with the other 18
* Kaelan makes her way through towards the shipyard.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim leans back and stands up on her hands, trying to allow the arrow to pass through the gape now, before continuing her song, mocking their mind of the hive with no creativity or truth
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok rubs his face and he starts moving after them, to get to the shipyard
<DeathStar> 6* The people in the market ebgin to throw stuff at Nephilim, calling her a devil
* Kaelan picks up her pace, her focus on getting to the ship with time so low.
<DeathStar> 6* The way the Templars are spread out, Kaelan and Dahok will have to set a pace behind them. Three Templars stop and turn to face the way back, and prevent anyone from going on
<DeathStar> <Jean> ... get on the ship and get it ready. 6* She tells Seth, Rachael, and Zeal.
<Zeal> <Zeal> U-Um, r-right, my lady angel." 6She bites her lip and hurries
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves uptowards the three templars. 1"What's going on?"
<Kaelan> * Seth nods and makes his way up onto the ship.
<DeathStar> <Templar 1> Return the way you came, citizen.
* Kaelan moves onward still, no intention of stopping.
<Zeal> 6Nephilim dodges junk and laughs, amusedly dropping down to a decoration, then leaping to run along people if necessary toward the dock
<DeathStar> 6* The three Templars eye Kaelan moving onward, and draw their swords. "Turn back."
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I can't. I've got a ship that has to leave. My goods will spoil if I don't leave now
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael follows along after Zeal.
* Kaelan nods and slowly starts to turn away, catching Dahok's eye, she's about to try something.
<DeathStar> 6* The Templars eye Dahok, and it's clear they're about ot kill him on the spot.
<DeathStar> 6* Odin begins to set his people up to block off the part of the dock with the royal ships.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok holds his hands up as he backs up. 1"No need to get all crazy eyed."
<DeathStar> <Odin> Kill anyone who gets in your way.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean turns adn whispers something to Mercy, then moves to get on the ship.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts around and he grabs Kaelan to pull her back. 1"Not worth the trouble they're crazy."
<DeathStar> 6* A Nephilim comes in, the three Templars stand in her way as well
* Kaelan blinks as she's grabbed, shifting her hand off her sword hilt. She looks at the other two. "One each."
<Zeal> 6Nephilim draws look, peering up as if she's going to make a leap for over them
<DeathStar> 6* An arrow strikes Nephilim in the back suddenly - the archer from before havign set himself up. It strikes her near the spinal cord, her luck is what causes it from missing
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I only have the...6He jerks as Nephilim is hit
<Zeal> 6Nephilim faceplants, without even making a sound
<DeathStar> 6* The archer approaches Nephilim now, clearly smirking
* Kaelan gasps and grabs her up.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean settles on the ship and nods to the captain. "Get us out of here." 6* The ship begins to sail from the docks as the templars move in
<Zeal> 6Nephilim just lies limply like dead weight
<DeathStar> 6* As Kaelan grabs at her, the Templars swing at her, going to reomve her arms if she doesn't back up
<Zeal> <Zeal> L-Lady angel..?! The others..
<DeathStar> <Templar 2> You two are beginning to look suspicious
* Kaelan backs up out of the way. "She's hurt!"
<DeathStar> <Jean> If we stay, we'll be dead and the ship destroyed
<DeathStar> <Templar 1> She spoke ill of the church. Leave her and go
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok takes a deep breath and throws his hand forward, aiming to send a gust lv 2 at the 3 templars infront of them
<Zeal> 6Zeal's eyes widen and she looks out at the docks, biting her lip, she peers over at her bow among things, as if considering, but then gets a pained look.
<DeathStar> 6* The templars go flying, while the archer pauses, and aims at Dahok quickly and lets an arrow go for his side
* Kaelan nods, she blinks as Dahok does and scoops Nephilim up, running past them towards the docks.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok turns to try and dodge the hit or atleast make it hit a less vital spot
<DeathStar> 6* At the comomton from the attack, the other 15 Templars, who are blocking the way to the dock, turn. As some set up fire arrows, six set up to face them. Odin eyes their faces, and sneers. "I knew Thomas was a traitor."
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok throws one hand to send a lv 1 gust at the archer
* Kaelan quickly looks to see about how much of the dock the Templars are taking up.
<DeathStar> 6* The arrow hits his side, but isn't too deadly. The gust knocks the archer back. Rachael eyes the fire arrows coming in, and uses a gale burst to scatter them from the shi
<DeathStar> 6* They've pretty much taken over the entirity of the beginning of the royal deck and those not there are at the part where the ship is sailing
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok winces and he grabs it to yank it out. He then throws another gust lv 2 at a group of templars between them and the ship
<DeathStar> 6* Nothing happens.
<Zeal> 6Zeal takes up her bow, moving quickly to the edge of the ship and peering down to the dock
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok frowns and he peers for an empty ship
<DeathStar> 6* Storm clouds begin to gather
* Kaelan holds onto Nephilim tight and races towards them, she leaps, Wind Jumping to attempt to get clear of them.
<DeathStar> 6* The entirity of the dock is huge and other ships are all about the other parts of the dock. There's plenty even around the royal dock area, but Royal Guards and Knights are watching the fight, adn the ships are all large
<Zeal> <Zeal> Lady Rachael-- I will need more arrows." 6She says quickly, notching the one she took and letting her hair cover one eye, drawing it back and aiming for archers firstmost of the templars, loosing an arrow aimed for the arm.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok presses a hand against his wound and he makes a dash for one of the other ships.
<DeathStar> 6* As Kaelan leaps, she's struck down by some force, that slams her into the dock with such impact, she'd feel a rib snap. Odin sneers, and gestures his hand, and KAelan catches aflame
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok turns and he throws his hand sending a level 1 gust towards Kaelan to knock the flames out, well tries to
* Kaelan cries out in sudden pain and rolls, attempting to put herself out, dropping Nephilim.
<DeathStar> 6* Kaelan is instead flung by the gust and into the water and out of sight
<Zeal> <Zeal> That one... he is a higher order or Harbinger in disguise-- that was magic!
<Kaelan> * Seth meanwhile sets his Quiver down next to Zeal. "Use them."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Right. 6* She works on getting the arrows ready for her. The arm of the Templar is hit, and he howls, while another of the special marked Templars flingf ire at the ship
<DeathStar> 6* Templars with swords chase after Dahok
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok turns and starts sprinting for the public area
<Zeal> 6Zeal frowns, quickly aiming for the neck, aiming for his hand to arm, but quickly sets her sights on Odin.
<DeathStar> 6* Templars move toward Nephilim, meanwhile
* Kaelan tries to stay afloat as she hits the water, desperately grabbing for something.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean looks to the sky, and a being of light begins to descend
<Zeal> 6Zeal reaches for an arrow from Rachael's hand to the bow and draws in one motion, launching an arrow at him, then does the same to aim for anyone else readied to fire at their ship-- if not the one chasing Dahok
<DeathStar> 6* The arrow misses Odin, by a good foot, despite him never moving. A fireball hits their ship and catches a flame. JEan moves over to it and works to put it out
<DeathStar> 6* Kaelan would find nothing in the water really; just the dock is nearby
<Zeal> 6Zeal frowns, taking several arrows from Rachael and flurries them at Odin, aiming lethally unlike the rest
* Kaelan tries to get to the dock and out of the water if possible.
<DeathStar> 6* Each arrow misses. Meanwhile, Harbinger lands on the dock, turning to face the ship
<DeathStar> 6* He holds out his hands and a whirlpool begins to form
<Zeal> 6Zeal immediately aims for Harbinger, direct center of the face
<DeathStar> 6* The TEmplars stab down at Nephilim with three swords, while Dahok is chased through the docks; each ship is docked and moored, it seems, though one seems prepped to go
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes the light come in and he turns his upperbody, trying to throw a gust lv 2 at the guards chasiing ihm and aiming them towards Harbinger if he can. He shifts to move for the one prepped ship
<Zeal> 6Nephilim rolls over and shoves the arrow she was shot with toward one's ankle, her other hand aiming to hamstring a second before shifting to try and sprint away
<DeathStar> 6* Jean puts the fire out with a blanket, then eyes the whirlpool forming.
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok isn't even near him
* Kaelan pulls herself up, shaking as she does.
<Chad`Winters> 6Then he just aims to send them flying back
<DeathStar> 6* Harbinger seems amused , then lifts down to grab Kaelan from the water
<DeathStar> <Harbinger> Kaleen Di'neer. We meet again
* Kaelan struggles to keep away from him. "Y-You... no..."
<DeathStar> 6* The Templars curse at Nephilim; sadly, their ride is too far to reach now unless they can swim
<DeathStar> 6* Odin brings more fire into the ship, making Jean move to each spot. The guards pick themselves up and chase Dahok again
<Zeal> 6Nephilim keeps sprinting down the dock-- if Odin is facing the ship, she adjusts herself to approach him from behind
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok leaps onto the prepped ship and starts to untie it.
<DeathStar> 6* Harbinger wraps his hand around her throat, then eeys the ship. He spins and hurls her across the water and straight into the mast of the ship, breaking Kaelan's arm, shoulder, and shattering three more ribs; she'd pass out and blood would run dwon her head. Rachael stares in awe
<Zeal> <Zeal> This is hopeless-- I cannot hit either no matter how true my aim..
<Zeal> <Zeal> Kael!!
* Kaelan screams just before she hits and falls limp to the ship's deck.
<Zeal> 6Zeal gathers herself and rushes toward where the mast meets the deck.
<DeathStar> 6* Odin sneers, and turns to see what is going on, eyeing Nephilim now. The whirlpool continues to try to grow, but it seems to stay still. Jean pays her no mind, but Rachael moves over to eye Kaelan
<Kaelan> * Seth stares, "Mother of... wow."
<DeathStar> 6* The Templars leap onto the ship as he unties it
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok throws another gust lv 1 at the knights when they leap
<DeathStar> 6* Nothing happens
<Kaelan> * Seth moves to help Jean with the firs.
<DeathStar> 6* As they land, then bring their swords down to chop at Dahok
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Just my luck...6He leaps backwards
<DeathStar> 6* The Templars advance
<Zeal> 6Nephilim slows as she approaches Odin aware of her now, her one dagger out and a serious look on her face rather than her usual amusement or carefree nature.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Surely we can talk this over.
<Zeal> 6Zeal checks on Kaelan, wincing at her sorry state and her lack of proper supplies, biting her lip
<Chad`Winters> 6He takes a step back then unties a rope to send the mast swinging towards the knights
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael cradles her head onto her lap, and eyes the blood flowing
<DeathStar> 6* The Knights are hit into the water with curses
<DeathStar> 6* Mercy walks over to Kaelan and kneels with supplies, handing them to Zeal
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok let's out a sigh of relief and he moves to toss the tie down rope into the water. He then moves to take the controls and starts to sail it out of it's docking spot
<DeathStar> 6* Harbinger eyes the whirlpool failing, so he eyes the ship again, bringing down lightning to strike at teh ship; it hits the captain's cabin and catches it aflame
<Zeal> <Zeal> L-Lady Mercy, this-- thank heavens.." 6She sighs in relief, and sets to quickly trying to set bones and disinfect open wounds
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok starts sailing along the dock and the royal docking area. He whistles loudly
<DeathStar> <Harbinger> Find the traitor and prepare ot travel to Seren. We will end them with the prophecy.
<Kaelan> Seth> "Good... okay... Not-So-Good-Gods!" *he rushes to help with the cabin fire*
<Chad`Winters> 6He makes sure to keep the royal ships between him and the dock itself
<DeathStar> 6* Mercy doesn't look pleased; she clearly boarded at the last minute, probably due to whatever Jean whispered
<Zeal> 6Nephilim growls throatily at Odin, her knife tensed in her hand. 1"You... I won't forgive you for this..."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Will she be okay, Zeal? She hit her head hard.
<DeathStar> <Odin> ... 6* He lifts a hand and a fireball flies at Nephilim's face.
<Zeal> <Zeal> I am sorry, Rachael... there is no way for me to know. I can only do what I can.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok whistles loudly again as he begins to pass along the royal ships
<DeathStar> 6* Harbinger eyes Nephilim, then walks over and strikes the back of her head hard, knocking her out and below the fireball
<DeathStar> <Harbinger> We'll take this one, too
<Zeal> 6Nephilim leans back in an arch, making a face, then turns and --collapses
<DeathStar> 6* Dahok, if he wre to try to approach the royal dock, would find the whirlpool there. EVen ships docked are being pulled about by it. His only choice would be to go another direction altogether
<Kaelan> * Seth runs about helping to try and save the captain's cabin, and possibly a captain if one's to be had.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes the whirplool and starts steering it to around it
<DeathStar> 6* Odin lifts Nephilim up roughly and drags it along. The whirlpool begins to grow larger suddenly
<DeathStar> 6* As Seth gets the flames put out, the damage is severe, but thnakfully the captain was steering, it seems
<DeathStar> 6* Mercy looks at the one-armed Knight, apologetically at him being dragged along
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok eyes it and he steers the ship away now
<DeathStar> 6* His ship begins to get drawn in
<Zeal> 6Azhren looks confusedly at Mercy, shrugging
<Kaelan> Seth> "I saved the Captain---'s cabin!"
<DeathStar> 6* As the angel's ship gets further away, the whirlpool grows more and more, apparantly being held back by her
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers backwards then turns the ship around, aiming to skirt along the whirlpools edge now to pick up speed
<Kaelan> * Seth moves over to the others, looking at the banged up Kaelan and the others. "She going to live? That was a nasty crack."
<DeathStar> 6* As Dahok tries, he's brought in, spinning around and around and around and around until ---- his ship is swallowed
<Zeal> <Zeal> Save the wondering until she wakes-- then we will know if she will live..." 6She looks nervous. 1"... The others... Nephilim, sir Fyro... Thomas..." 6She murmurs.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael, paler than usual, just peers down. "... Do you think they got out okay...?"
<Zeal> <Zeal> ...
<Kaelan> Seth> "Mmm... we'll have to hope for the best... no use praying." *his tone doesn't suggest the statement was a joke, just bitter*
<DeathStar> 6* As the whirlpool keeps growing, the King's ships begin t oget torn apart, then the docks. Odin looks at some Knights. "Inform your King that he should becareful who he aids in the future."
<DeathStar> 6* The Knights jerk, then bow, and hurry off.
<DeathStar> -TIME JUMP-
<DeathStar> 6* After stablizing Kaelan as best they can with their limited herbs and bandages and putting her in the bed, Rachael stands on one side of the dock, peering back in the direction of the city, as if she could see it, even if it is out of sight
<DeathStar> 6* Jean stands at the front of the ship, silent and hooded
<Kaelan> * Seth stands by Rachael, he frowns. "What's on your mind?"
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I'm worried about the others. And the city.
<DeathStar> 6* Rachael eyes the water quietly, gripping the side of the ship; she doesn't even seem to be enjoying her first time on a boat
<Zeal> 6Zeal approaches Jean after letting Kaelan be for now with no change.
<Kaelan> Seth> "Well, we were on the docks, so with luck most of what got damaged were boats, not people. As for the others... I am too."
<DeathStar> <Rachael> .... Nephilim....There's so much I wanted - needed - to ask her
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Will she be turned against us like Kaelan? Will Dahok? Will Thomas?
<Kaelan> Seth> "We can only do our best to hope we can save her and get her back."
<Zeal> <Zeal> Lady angel..
<Kaelan> Seth> "All of them, that is."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean speaks. "Yes?"
<Zeal> <Zeal> Are we..." 6She peers down. 1"... Are we to abandon them?"
<DeathStar> <Jean> .... 6* She is silent a moment, then speaks. "There is a smaller boat on the ship. I can continue my journey on it and you all can go back to save them, if you want."
<Zeal> <Zeal> I am not daft. We are no match for Harbinger-- and whomever that 'Odin' was...
<DeathStar> <Rachael> I hope so.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> Maybe Dahok got away. I hope he did.
<Kaelan> * Seth crosses his arms, sighing a little. "Mmm..." *he eyes the water* "What we can do now is rest up, patch up the lucky ones and prepare ourselves. It's all we can ever do when not facing our enemies."
<DeathStar> <Jean> I am not going back, Zeal. But I won't stop you if you try.
<DeathStar> <Jean> If they knew we were there, they will likely be waiting for us ahead - it's the only reason they let us go, I imagine, since they can end it there easier
<Zeal> <Zeal> I will not try on my own. I am powerless." 6She murmurs. 1"I might as well be a mere maid."
<Zeal> <Zeal> If they will wait for us-- then why are we going?
<DeathStar> <Jean> If you use the Anima T, you might could rescue them.
<DeathStar> <Jean> And I'm going because I must. 6* She says it matter of factly.
<Zeal> <Zeal> Why not wait for a more opportune moment?
<DeathStar> <Jean> I can't. It would be safer if you all simply left me now. You all might end up worse than back there
<Zeal> <Zeal> I cannot! I must protect you!
<DeathStar> 6* Jean shifts slightly; her face looks pained, and no merely from veins. Which is odd, considering she showed no illness during the fight with Harbinger earlier
<Zeal> <Zeal> L-Lady angel, what is... wrong?
<Kaelan> * Seth pulls out a small metal case from his cloak, eyeing it empty as he opens it and puts it away, frowning a little.
<DeathStar> <Jean> ... What? .... 6* She pauses, touching her cheek and eyeing some wetness
<DeathStar> <Jean> Mmm. It's nothing.
<DeathStar> <Rachael> ... 6* She lets out a breath, eyeing the water quietly. "This was suppose to be fun. Jea nwould wear a hat, and we would all fish..."
<Zeal> <Zeal> You do not look well... I--" 6She frowns, biting her lip. 1"If you do not believe in me-- if I am too weak... then a maid I will be. I can at least serve tea and be by your side.
<DeathStar> <Jean> Just because you have a maid fetish doesn't mean I need one
<Zeal> <Zeal> I will be useful in some way!!" 6She snaps back
<DeathStar> <Jean> When the other me returns, you can be useful and tell her that Dahok decided to see new things. 6* She notes carefully
<DeathStar> <Jean> And leave out what happened.
<Kaelan> <Seth> "It sounds fun.
<Zeal> <Zeal> Wh-What..?
<Kaelan> * Seth rubs the back of his head. "I've learned one thing in my years... life is never what you hope for, you have to make due with what you're handed."
<DeathStar> <Jean> She liked him; too much so. He was too dangerous. 6* She murmurs thoughtfully. "He would have torn everything apart in time."
<DeathStar> <Jean> If she knew what happened to him, it might break her even more
<DeathStar> <Jean> And I can't afford to have her holding me back
<Zeal> <Zeal> I-- I do not understand... dangerous..?
<DeathStar> <RAchael> I guess so
<DeathStar> <Jean> Just ask Kaelan sometime. And speaking of her, I should go... do something. You will wait out here. 'Maid'.
<DeathStar> 6* Turns and moves back for the cabins
<Zeal> <Zeal> Wh-What? I-- I should come with you if it regards Kael..!
<Kaelan> Seth> "Don't spend too much time worrying, you want a drink? We might have something left."
<DeathStar> <Jean> Do not make me repeat myself, Serving Girl
<DeathStar> <Rachael> No thank you. 6* She shakes her head a few times, eyeing the various sailors.
<Zeal> 6Zeal jerks, pausing in her step and peers aside. 1"... Um.. y-yes, milady."
<DeathStar> <Jean> When you're ready to stop playing serving girl, though, I might let a Knight walk beside me. Might.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean enters the cabins
<Kaelan> Seth> "Want me to wave them off with a stick?"
<DeathStar> <Rachael> No. They seem harmless enough. I hope.
<Kaelan> * Seth nods, he pats her shoulder and moves off to do something.
<Zeal> 6Zeal blinks, looking surprised, then somewhat dejected, shifting to lean on the boat's railing, gazing at the water.
<DeathStar> -TIME JUMP-
<DeathStar> 6* It is well into the night when Kaelan would awaken, her wounds healed considerablely more than what they should be with just Zeal's help. Though her arm and one shoulder is still broken. In the room is Zeal, having been ordered to keep an eye on her, and Rachael, who is asleep. Jean is sitting in one corner, hood over her face, and asleep as well.
<DeathStar> 6* The leash from Lenneth is still in Kaelan's pocket, however, and presses against her.
* Kaelan opens her eyes, blinking slowly. "Where...?"
<Zeal> 6Zeal sits vigilantly on a chair with her hands in her lap, fidgeting, then jumps slightly and peers over. 1"Kael-- you are awake..?"
<DeathStar> 6* Kaelan would see the angel's mark on her boobs, however.,
* Kaelan looks down a moment, then nods, she sighs a bit. She actually seems comforted. "Yes... I'm awake."
<DeathStar> 6* The leash seems to dig more into her. AS if to reminder her that suffering will continue to occur to people if not used.
<DeathStar> *leash = collar
<Zeal> <Zeal> I am relieved... it was not certain you would awaken ever again..
* Kaelan frowns, she pats her side where the pocket is a little and groans. "How did I get on the ship...?"
<DeathStar> 6* Mercy looks out at the water, on the top deck, peering at the glittering's reflection
<Zeal> <Zeal> You were thrown-- literally... by Harbinger into the mast.
<Kaelan> "Mmm... interesting." *she frowns a bit* "How is everyone else...? Did Nephilim and Dahok make it alright?"
<Zeal> 6Zeal jerks, then peers to the side darkly.
<Kaelan> "...What happened?"
<Zeal> <Zeal> ...I would rather not say for now..
* Kaelan goes pale, probably assuming the worst.
<Kaelan> "I... shouldn't have taken them... I shouldn't have even gone."
<DeathStar> 6* Collar. Nudge. Rub. Rub. Grr. Nash
* Kaelan peers over at Jean. "Is she asleep? I need to talk to her..."
<Zeal> <Zeal> I believe, so, yes. She asked, ...ordered... me to watch you. Though I would have anyway.
<Kaelan> "I'll have to wait for her to wake then..." *she sighs* "Harbinger will be waiting for us where we intend to land, I should be off the ship before then."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean speaks. "And what do you have to say?" 6* Her voice is strong and quiet
<Zeal> <Zeal> She already knew that..
* Kaelan reaches into her pocket and pulls out the collar. "Lenneth gave me this. It's a collar that can seal your powers and make you a mere human woman. She says if you put it on then Harbinger will stop his pursuit. I leave it up to you."
<DeathStar> <Jean> I see. Give it to me, then.
* Kaelan holds it out willingly. "Take it. Dahok... thought it might work on a god too."
<DeathStar> 6* Jean moves over and takes it, then moves to leave the room with it
* Kaelan doesn't stop her, leaning back.
<DeathStar> 6* Jean walks down the hall and up to the deck, then tosses it overboard, then moves to re-enter the ship
* Kaelan looks over at Zeal. "I don't believe in betraying someone I made a promise to."
<DeathStar> -SCENE SHIFT-
<DeathStar> 6* Pieces of wood and whatnot float up against the shores of Eira. Amongst them is Dahok, a glow around him that fades. The symbol on his arm is more complex now
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok groans a bit as he shifts somewhat
<DeathStar> 6* It is night and the city seems to be under martial law of sorts, since it's quiet, but in one piece. Templars patrol the docks
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok coughs, spitting up water now.
<DeathStar> 6* Off in the distance of the church building, glowstones are all around. They seem to be also getting Templar ships ready
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts to stand up now, his hands rubbing his body for warmth.
<DeathStar> 6* Nearby, a fisherboat is getting ready to set out.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok peers over at it and he starts moving for it.
<DeathStar> 6* Two men are on it, getting their nets ready. They look up at Dahok
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I wound up getting sucked into that whirlpool, I suppose I couldn't ask for some warth?
<DeathStar> <Fisherman> Warth?
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> Warmth, sorry.
<DeathStar> <Fisherman> If yo ugo into town, I'm sure you'll find a tavern to warm your bones. We're going out to fish.
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok nods, peering back at the ships getting ready, his hand aiming towads them casually. 1"Where at?"
<DeathStar> <Fisherman> Mmmm, there be several taverns in town. Most are there to avoid the Church after what happened. No one wants to be near a god and anger him. It took all day to get permission to even go fishing. Hard to feed a man's family these days.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I mean how far out are you going fishing?
<DeathStar> <Fisherman> Oh? A few miles out.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> This boat's capable of making it that far?
<DeathStar> <Fisherman> If one is careful. 6* They finish getting their nets ready.
<Chad`Winters> <Dahok> I bet it couldn't even make it to Seren.
<DeathStar> <Fisherman> It's a fisher boat, son, of course it couldn't
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok runs his hand through his hair as he glances at some of the other ships. 1"I'm a skilled fisher, I could offer you guys a hand."
<DeathStar> <Fisherman> Like I said, times are tough, son. We really can't afford you. I'm sorry. 6* He gives him an apologetic smile. "But tell you what, you go to the Pher and Phan's Tavern and tell Bela that old Tom sent you, and she'll give you a free meal and drink
<DeathStar> 6* HE then motions at the other man to cast them off
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok nods then shifts his hand a bit and tries to send a lv 1 gust burst at the two to knock them off the boat.
<DeathStar> 6* He manages a weak pulse, and they go flying off; one strikes his head on the way over and both sink into the water
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok moves to the boat quickly and reaches over to grab the one that hit his head.
<DeathStar> 6* The man is grabbed, while the other surfaces, and begins to scream for help. The Templars on patrol peer over
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok shifts the one ofto the one screaming. 1"I'd hold on if I were you." 6He then moves to cast the boat off.
<DeathStar> 6* Templars rush over as the boat is cast off. One notches an arrow and fires at Dahok
<Chad`Winters> 6Dahok jerks to get behind something as boat moves off
<DeathStar> 6* The Templars watch him go, with a frown, and some get a boat ready to pursue into the night
<DeathStar> -END-
