<DeathStar> Having managed to defeat the male mages, Seacreast is freed by Moira and her small band. The leader captured alive, an NAG Mage uses a spell to force the truth out of him. With some questioning, they find that Kapister is definately the one giving orders, and he lets slip that there is a plan to cleanse the corruption by doing something at the Heart of Magik. Before they can get further, the corruption in the man kills him, something driving it to full overdrive.

<DeathStar> Jean's group looks out over the NAG Army, mages by the hundred gathered and piling into ships, heading somewhere. All the group can be sure of is wherever they're going, mages of both genders are going to die. Butler makes her exit to join the NAG, while the rest resolve to protect Jeanole. Aurica continues her search, starting to study Lin Erica in her perifery.
<DeathStar> The Airship lands in Seacrest, the group disembarking and rejoining Moira's. The groups compare notes and consider their next move, knowing they need to go for Kapister but not sure where to look. The Heart of Magik seems to be their only lead, but only a False God can explain to them what they need to do in order to reach it. Lia begins to bring up the gods that might know and are still around: Autumn / Phoen and Yeger. At the mention of Yeger, Ailee gets very defensive and tries to cut that off, while at the same time saying that Autumn is a dead lead. Without much else to do, the group is easily distracted when they learn that the NAG mages are piling into a boat.
<DeathStar> Moving out to investigate, they find the mages are indeed rushing to disembark. Lia attempts to use her status as an NAG to mage to find out what's going on and winds up invited to the summit. She is able to take her Aegis, who she names to be Maka, and Wyrd has to remain behind. Lia gets on with the mages and the others take to the airship to tail the ship.
<DeathStar> The Demon Realm group arrives at Asmo, about half a mile outside the city, the horses refuse to move further, leaving the group to close the distance into the city. As they approach, tentacles rise from the ground, before they can react, one tears Melissa in half and the group is forced to fight the things and beat them away to protect themselves. Taking a moment to say goodbye to the fallen Enforcer, they hurry on.
<DeathStar> As they enter, Mimi forming Anima E to break through the gates, they find a seemingly abandoned city. However, Malthus' voice pipes up from the tower in the distance and announces that the city itself is a weapon, using 1% of the Matrix's power, he begins to turn the city on them. Mimi takes off in Anima E to distract Malthus, and while the others struggle, Con, trying to rise up,has his head blown off by the defense beams. As they struggle, Jubei turns the Rune Blade on the plate of the city itself and using 1/4th of the rune energy, destroys the block around them.
<DeathStar> Malthus reacts by increasing the power of the city up to 10% of the Matrix energy, however, Kaelan gets the group through quickly by flying them on Anima T, using her Wind Affinity to shield them from harm till they get inside. Once inside T deforms and Kaelan puts the gauntlet away, and inside they are greeted by Seraphim. Asha moves to her, but Kaelan and Rica remind Asha that it's well known that Seraphim, who passes them a bitten and infected Mimi, is brainwashed. Asha busts her seal and readies for a fight, but Malthus shows up, the power of the Matrix with him.
<DeathStar> As he's about to level the group, Jubei intervenes by slashing through the core of his attack with the Rune Blade. The attack, a banishment spell goes off, but not without a hideous backlash on Malthus himself. The group is sucked into a black hole. The group comes to in a room with reflecting pools and a throne of skulls, the group having previously been here once before. It is the Chamber of Yeger, and only he can let them leave. Trapped in hell, the party must cope and try to figure a way out without the god, who has been hundreds of years absent from his duties.

<DeathStar> On the airship, the group has been following the fleet for some time, and it's about now that they decide to really persue the Yeger lead. Ailee explains that Yeger and Finn are sharing a body, and any time Yeger begins to become aware that he's not Finn, when he's in control, he lapses in giving that control back. Her fear is bringing out Yeger fully will destroy Finn. However, with the needs to the many and all that, Finn agrees to have Yeger brought out an the group manages to wake up the old God of Death. They awaken him and once they convince him his cover won't work, he tries to flee, and learns he's stuck high up in the air.
<DeathStar> The NAG fleet meets for it's summit. Abigale explains that they intend to find the Heart of Magik and Kapister. They need to stop him and possibly, if it's a working plan, cleanse the corruption anyway. After explaining that they're pouring all resources and efforts into this, Lia raises her hand and is heard. She offers the support of her friends, and her identity, matched as a follower of the Angel like Butler, allows them to accept them help. On the condition that the group follow Butler's orders when they meet up.
<DeathStar> Lia then brings up her fears, that Kapister in his madness may be planning to negate magik itself as a means to cleanse the corruption, this is met with skepticism, but the one thing everyone agrees on is this entire event is weakening the magical arm of Tareh, at least on the female side of things. The fear is that this will lead to male domination and females will become slaves to the male arm of magik. If there's one thing Masons and NAGs all agree on, it's that Kapister needs to die.
<DeathStar> On the airship, Yeger speaks, they learn some things, namely that Tsukiyomi is one half of the Heart of Tareh, which may mean she's connected as the Heart of Magik. The Heart itself is at the center, or off-center now, of Tareh, where all the leyline energy meets. What they need is a way there, but Yeger cannot start to help them with things like seeking out Kapister in his divining pools without resuming the duty as the God of Death, which would mean he has to take Finn as is. Narok volunteers to take up the mantle in his son's place, but what they need is a remnant of those touched by Gartareh to name any new gods. So the group will have to head to Lenneth, and see what she will do, take the mantle, or help Narok take it.
<DeathStar> They decide to break away and head for Amatsune first, to get Tsukiyomi.

<DeathStar> 6* The dealings of the mad male mages has gone down and things have calmed down some what across Amatsune, though things remain tense - Tsukiyomi remains tense and snappier than ever, except toward those she cares about and remains withdrawn in the palace landscape. Zun seems to have withdrawn and does nothing but research and does not leave much, to the worry of Zuzu, who is glad to give up her leadership role again now that Ama is done dealing with blasting mages around the kingdom. A rainy storm floods the kingdom this day and Tsuki is currently one mile from the palace with Thara and Zuzu and Mugi, off camera, at Zuzu's house, grabbing materials Zun claims he needs and so Tsuki can get out of the house and quit being a damper so much. <DeathStar> 6* Aso Erevis paces quietly in the throne area, acting less like Erevis lately except when spoken to, then her personality emerges in him as always, but right now he is studying the walls and musing quietly when there is a bright beam of light in the middle of the palace when normally such a thing should not be possible, but with the mirrors and Tsuki's power off kilter, it seems their barriers in the palace are off. Appearing before them is Butler, Lia, Selene, and Yuel

<DeathStar> <Selene> We are here because we are searching for a male mage named Kapister - and we believe that he is searching for the source of the leylines

<DeathStar> <Selene> We do not know much about that - we are hoping the others who are arriving can tell us more, but we think the goddess Tsukiyomi might be involved and be a target.

<Sera> Lia> "I think everyone agrees he needs about 10 pounds of steel in his neck."

<Sera> Lia> "Our group doesn't really have a leader, but without any big objections, especially since the most independant member just agreed, I think it's settled."

<DeathStar> <Selene> It is clear the leylines are being drained and there is a taint in them

<Sera> * Lia moves back to Maka, giving Lenneth her space and muses.

<DeathStar> <Yuel> Then that confirms it. We believe it goers a step further - the leylines are Tsukiyomi and the planet's blood.

<DeathStar> <Selene> Sometime 400 years ago
<Sera> Lia> "Seems a bit cloudy..."
<DeathStar> <Yuel> And like blood, it can get viruses and taint in it
<Aqua> Bel> It's raining actually

<DeathStar> <Selene> A theory, yes. Another theory is that if all the leylines were sucked dry, Tareh and Tsukiyomi would die, as surely as if you slit her throat.

<Aqua> Bel> Ah, Narok and I always used 'orange' for ours.
<Sera> Lia> "The corruption is a disease, a very strong disease that fights against being cured. It's something more than just a disease though... like a parasite or a living thing that's taken nest."

<DeathStar> <Selene> The core is believed to be a solid mass of mana and the mana runs up to the leylines that are on the surface
<Chain> <Ama> if my sister were to die...I too would not be long after
<DeathStar> <Selene> We beloieve that is the heart of mana.

<DeathStar> <Yuel> But that could mean Tsuki too
<Jackieness> <Moira> "In the past, we traveled into the hollow core of Tareh where we found Tsuki imprisoned."
<DeathStar> <Selene> Right - but tests done by mages show now that it's filled with mana
<DeathStar> <Selene> Kapister could not go down there without melting
<Sera> Lia> "Isn't Tsuki's own signs of infection a recent thing though?"
<Aqua> Butler> It's probably just manifested nown
<Jackieness> <Moira> "So how did it get filled with mana?"
<DeathStar> <Lyn> Aschae
<Sera> Lia> "Unless he had a means to do so, a vessel or something that could withstand a leyline's energy... but such a thing would be beyond any current levels of technology. Even the Ancients would have trouble I think."
<Aqua> Butler> It's most likely been building ever since Aschae did her thing.
<DeathStar> 6* Lyn says, eyes black as she muses

<DeathStar> <Wyrd> Kapister is the problem now - he wants to go down there to do his thing
<Sera> * Lia nods. "Kapister is at best, part of a group. It's called a Tribunal after all. A Meeting of Leaders."
<DeathStar> <Selene> My guess is he wants Tsukiyomi to get at the hearto f mana - if anyone could get down the heart of the leylines it would be her
<DeathStar> <Selene> How? I do not know
<Sera> Lia> "And what we saw in Lillica's Ruins..."
<Aqua> Bel> If we find him I could find out.

<DeathStar> 6 *Cersei rocks it and uses the Rustic Blade to call al ightning storm and water damage, destroying vampires and knocking them off into the core abyss
<Sera> Kaelan> *Wind Jumps up to get a better view of some and sends a Chain Lightning towards a group of them*
<DeathStar> 6* Libel cuts into them, doing more damage then a lot of Angel Blades, like she was enhanced and made stronger than an ormal Demon Blade
<DeathStar> 6* Libel cuts into flesh and rakes - for Kaelan, she's a beautiful broad sword but isl ight
<DeathStar> 6* The vampires leap in at Asha and pile tackle her
<Sera> * Kaelan dances with her as she moves about and takes on Vamps. She sends a blast of holy over where Asha is, to clip the vamps and not her.
<DeathStar> 6* Cersei twirls and lightning storms more off, panting as she regains stamina and energhy and stabs one that leaps and bites her throat, sucking her as she falls back against the railing and tips over and out of sight
<Jackieness> <Asha> *reaches to her throat and slips off her sealing charm, then sprays her hair outward liek spears*
<DeathStar> 6* Fiver meanwhile ais grabbed by three vampires and then bite into her and begin to drain her dr
<Sera> * Kaelan shifts and stands firm, then leaps on the three on Fiver.
<DeathStar> 6* And Tae is grabbed and her throat is torn into and someoe one tries to make her a vamp as they suck on her, but she keeps her mouth shut firly
<DeathStar> 6* Asha destroys all on her into dust
<DeathStar> 6* Fiver is freed and she sighs in relief, even as five jump Kaelan, biting into her
<Sera> * Kaelan seems almost to glow like the night she was kidnapped as she cuts into them. <Someone help Cersei or Tae, NOW!>
<Sera> * Kaelan growls and cuts at some of them, using Wind Barrier to throw the others off.
<DeathStar> 6 *Deus slamns into the crystal and unleashes the 1/4th power into it
<Jackieness> <Asha> *leaps, sending ehr hair stabbing toward the vamps on Tae*

<Sera> Kaelan> "Surrender or face Justice!"
<DeathStar> 6* Tae pants nad falls, holding her throat weakly as the vampires are killed and Kaelan knocks the others off. At that moment, something is thrown and the Matrix is activated nad a huge beam shoots up into the air, Deus caught in the middle and she screams, jerking in it with the empty Rune Blade

<DeathStar> 6* The Matrix city spins and it fires a huge beam out toward Jeanole and Malthus cackles as he waits for the city to blow up, but then the tower jerks and below there's an explosion

<DeathStar> 6* He stumbles and things tilt

<Sera> Rica> "Oh yeah, sorry, we're the distraction." *he lets another holy arrow loose at his neck*

<Sera> * Rica aims another arrow and lets it loose at his head.

<DeathStar> 6* Malthus jerks as the arrow pierces him and he falls forward and begins to turn to ashes
<DeathStar> 6* Seraphim grabs him as he does and looks him in the face and grins and rips him in half

<Aqua> *James moves and gathers up the ashes
<DeathStar> 6* Angel helps lower Lin and the other Cadre nod to them; the tower tilts back to normal*

<Sera> * Rica begins to head after James.

<DeathStar> 6* Deus stands in the middle of the beam, screaming and holding the sword which fills up and she stabs the crystal and it shatters and she falls, and then flies over with her wings and lands
<Sera> Kaelan> "Are you alright?"
<DeathStar> 6* Glowing with pure dark energy, looking even stronger than before; Deus stands up, smoke rising, twitching in agony
<Sera> * Kaelan frowns and in her battle focus searches to see if Cersei made it.
<DeathStar> <Deus> Yes. I never felt better. 6* She smiles a little, showing her sharp teeth and looking inhuman. She eyes the destroyed core and the tiltting of the building and touches it wiht her hands and uses dark mana from her hands to right it
<Sera> Kaelan> "Well alright then."
<Jackieness> <Asha> "This form is so yummy..." *feels herself up*
<DeathStar> 6* She laughs a little, pleased. "It worked out as I hoped. Thank you - now I am definitely the strongest demon in the land. I will take the throne with no problem after absorb ing the matrix as I attended."
<DeathStar> 6* She flexes her hands, cracking her neck.
<DeathStar> 6* The others come down the stairs and join them. Seraphim moves over and bites her neck gently, holding Asha
<Sera> Kaelan> "If you bring peace here, then it's worth it." *she pauses, then looks at her* "May we have the Rune Blade back?"
<DeathStar> 6* Deus tosses it to --- Jubei
<Nyaomi> <Jubei> Thank you.
<Sera> * Kaelan nods at that.

<Nyaomi> <Jubei> Malthus is no more.
<DeathStar> 6* Lin holds onto Jubei and blinks

<Sera> Rica> "They didn't move against us, I think that should be remembered."

<DeathStar> 6* Deus moves upstairs to speak with the Cadre and get acknowleded, laving them alone. Angel looks after her, noting her being stronger than even Asmodeus now
<Sera> Kaelan> "We'll have to refill the blade, possibly, if we need it again."
<Nyaomi> 6Jubei turns to Lin, lifts her up and spins around, sets her down, then wraps her arms around her and kisses her.
<DeathStar> 6* Lin still being confused, chirps and leans into the kiss, cooing
<DeathStar> 6* A vampire maid, already changed, comes up timidly

<Sera> Kaelan> "Did the weapon go off fully though? I mean, is the place safe?"

<DeathStar> 6* She leads them down and on the first floor, which is being transformed - lal sorts of demons showing up to change the Matrix tower into something new, Cersei is on a bedmatress, laying there with a broken back and neck torn
<DeathStar> 6* The demons are trying various healing herbs, but without turning her into a demon themselves, it seems Cersei is slipping
<Sera> * Kaelan frowns and looks over her, then begins to heal her. "Jubei, help me out here."
<DeathStar> <Vampire> It seems she fall 45 stories and lived somehow
<DeathStar> <Cersei> Had...something...to live...for...
<Sera> Kaelan> "She's a tough lady."
<kalonZombie> <Sal> Well she's kinda a badass.
<Sera> Kaelan> "You still do."
<DeathStar> 6* Seraphim muses

<Nyaomi> 6Jubei kneels, trying to heal her as well
<Sera> * Rica moves over to help, laying her hands and using angelic healing.
<DeathStar> 6* Cersei gasps at the healing and begins to breathe easier as her bones mend and her throat heals. Seraphim leans on Asha, watching it, then looks at her
<DeathStar> <Seraphim> It's finally over. Perhaps all of it - even the demons. Except one thing
<Jackieness> <Asha> "What?"
<DeathStar> <Seraphim> We need to speak with Deus about the ones after you
<DeathStar> <Seraphim> Or they will keep trying
<Sera> Rica> "The mages rampaging across the lands?"
<Jackieness> <Asha> "Oh, right... them."
<Sera> Rica> "Didn't the sickness come from here?"
<Nyaomi> <Jubei> It's not quite over...
<Sera> Rica> "We should really see if we can find anything out about that if it helps the others."
<Nyaomi> <Jubei> There's still the problem with the leylines.

<DeathStar> 6* Jean stares, peering at a chunk of her city blazing from a beam attack from no where, people crying and dying, dirty from being out there healing nand exhausted, having had to be dragged from it
<DeathStar> <Jean> Dreams true so far... 6* Even though its only 10 blocks of city, it seems like a nightmare
<Sera> * Truth looks on in horror. "Where did it come from? Did the Mages do this?"
<DeathStar> <Jean> Soon false Jean will rise
<DeathStar> 6* Jean sits and Rachael peers at Jean worriedly
<Sera> Truth> *looks at her concerned*
