"She is waking." 6* Rachael remains asleep, having been out of it since the battle. Carly drools on Zeal's breasts, asleep
<Kit> <Zeal> Good, then the worst of it has passed.
<Kaelan> * Kaelan yawns a bit, looking over and nuzzling Mercy softly, looking a bit out of it.
<Kaelan> * Sadye smiles. "She's gonna be alright then, Zeal?"
<Kit> <Zeal> Unless you try taking a bite out of her, yes, it is likely with proper care.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Mercy pats Kaelan; the girl's eyes open and she jerks, peering around fearfully, then clutches her stomach, staring at it as if expecting to see it enlarged
<Kaelan> * Kaelan smiles reassuringly. "Hello there... feeling better?"

<Kaelan> * Sadye blushes a bit at the feeding comment and looks down meekly. In a fresh maid uniform.
<Kit> <Zeal> Yes, dear. You are safe.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Carly wipes at her face, eyeing Sadye like one would a fraud, then back
01<@DeathStar> 6* The girl grabs Zeal in a hug. "Oh thank the gods for you; thank you all so much."
<Kit> <Zeal> ...Er..! ..." 6She chuckles, sighing. 1"How ironic to thank the gods."
<Kaelan> Kaelan> "You're welcome... where are you from? We're heading for Oas but we could try to get you back home."
<Kaelan> * Sadye mumbles softly, keeping her head down.
01<@DeathStar> <Girl> I-I'm from there. 6* She notes, shifting; her body is mostly clothed in rags but they can see some of the meadowland remants on her
<Kaelan> * Kaelan smiles. "Really? Great! Zeal and I are too."
<Kit> 6Zeal frowns at Kaelan.
<Kaelan> * Kaelan looks at Zeal a little confused. "What?"
<Kit> <Zeal> She might misunderstand if you say it so. We have not been there since we were small.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The girl looks at Zeal and kaelan, looking like she doesn't recognize them
<Kit> <Zeal> Of course you would likely not remember us, but we really are from Oas. Originally.
<Kaelan> Kaelan> "Well yeah... I guess."
01<@DeathStar> <Girl> Oh. That explains your clothing. 6* She tells Zeal; she peers at RAchael in similiar clothing. "Is she, too?"
<Kit> <Zeal> No, she just likes... a lack of city clothing.
<Kaelan> * Kaelan smiles.
<Kaelan> * Sadye toys with her hair a bit, looking between the other girls.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Mercy snaps her finger, signaling him to begin packing up the tents
01<@DeathStar> <Girl> Oh. I'm Apple. Thank you for saving me.
<Kaelan> * Sadye squeaks and moves to get packing.
<Kit> <Zeal> Pleased to meet you, Apple. My name is Zeal.
<Kaelan> Kaelan> "You're welcome. I'm Kaelan. And this is Mercy." *she hugs Mercy a bit*
01<@DeathStar> 6* Mercy smiles tiredly and moves to get the food she finished to the girl; it's warm sweet bread
01<@DeathStar> 6* Apple nods. "C-Could you all help take me to my village?"
<Kaelan> Kaelan> "Of course, we could use the help finding it... it's been a long time for us."
<Kit> <Zeal> There is a village now?
01<@DeathStar> <Apple> There is always a village; it moves depending on the seasons and the land; if an area is doing poor one year we move it to another location. It's easy to build up huts in good areas
<Kaelan> * Sadye packs up the horses and peers over, probably listening even at a distance.
01<@DeathStar> 6* She eats the bread gratefully
<Kit> <Zeal> Hm... alright." 6She nods, as if taking in the information.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Apple rises unsteadily
<Kaelan> * Kaelan moves to help her up.
<Kaelan> Kaelan> "Take it easy, I can understand not wanting to linger in this cave any longer... but overdo it and we might have another scarey night on our hands."
01<@DeathStar> 6* Apple smiles gratefully and moves toward the horses; her hair is dark like Kaelan's
01<@DeathStar> *Zeal's
<Kit> <Zeal> Carry her, Kael. If she moves too quickly she might open the stitches.
<Kaelan> * Kaelan scoops her up gently and carries her to the horse. "Who's she riding with, me?"
<Kit> <Zeal> Carly is with me..." 6She picks her up. 1"And I need Rachael to tend the horse..."

01<@DeathStar> 6* Apple leans against Kaelan, studying her hair. "You are from...Oas?"

<Kit> 6Zeal kneels and whispers something into her ear.
<Kaelan> Kaelan> "I... yeah." *she looks a little uneasy* "Kaelan Di'neer, my parents were Tam and Arethia."
<Kaelan> Sadye> "She could ride with me... it's just me and the gear on mine."
<Kit> <Zeal> ...You ride with Mercy.

01<@DeathStar> 6* She tucks her ears into hiding. "What happened?" 6* She grabs some bread and stuffs it in her mouth
01<@DeathStar> 6* Apple hmms. "Blonde hair is very---unusual."
<Kit> <Zeal> Our friend Apple awoke-- we are going to continue to Oas now.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Rachael nods and smiles at Apple, shifting o climb up onto her horse, yawning
<Kaelan> * Kaelan blushes a bit. "I... I know. I'm actually hoping to find some answers about that in Oas... I half suspect my time there was just part of my wanderings."
<Kaelan> * Kealan helps Apple onto a horse with her. Sadye makes room for Mercy.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Mercy shifts onto the horse as best she can. Apple winces a little on her horse
<Kaelan> * Kaelan does her best to make Apple comfy, holding her as she steadies the horse. "We'll ride at a slow trot."

01<@DeathStar> 6* It is early morning as the group finishes what jerky and fruit they have. Kaji eats her fair share - which is a lot. It watches Nephilim the entire time
<Kaelan> * Sia pets Kaji having made a leather shoulder harness for him so his claws didn't press into her flesh. She looks somewhat pleased.
<Kit> <Nephilim> What do you think you're lookin' at?" 6She sniffs.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The angel gets her sword in a good position to use it; Lenneth peers about quietly, while Thomas eagerly gets ready to go below. Gemane eyes Kaji
01<@DeathStar> 6* Kaji rers cutely at Nephilim and flaps her wings
<Kaelan> Sia> "I think she likes you, Nephilim."
<Kit> <Nephilim> Cool, I guess. ...What'd you make that harness out of?
<Kaelan> Sia> "The remains of my satchel. It got torn apart during the fight with the big one."

<Kit> 6Nephilim turns and scurries down the hall excitedly without another thought
01<@DeathStar> 6* Thomas nods, getting a slowstone ready, and steps into the hallway, moving for the stairs; Gemane shifts along, her ears perked as if listening carefully, her tail swishing warily
<Kaelan> * Sia giggles, she moves along with Thomas and Nephilim.
<Kaelan> Sia> "Oh, we found a lot of texts in an old language, Angel, think you might be able to read them?"
<Kit> <Nephilim> C'mon ruins. Don't fail me now-- mama wants some new jewels!
01<@DeathStar> <Angel> I have already been doing what I can for Thomas while you played with your serpent prince
01<@DeathStar> 6* As they descend three flights of stairs, they reach the hallway with the metal boxes. Thomas heads past them
<Kit> <Aschae> Is it truly a prince, or a princess?
<Kaelan> * Sia blushes. "Mmm, I-I think it's a princess."
01<@DeathStar> <Angel> I see.
<Kit> 6Aschae walks over and peers into Kaji's eyes, holding out her hand expectantly.
<Kaelan> Sia> "Do you think... maybe later you could teach us how to read that text? Or do you think Thomas has enough to form a decryption yet?"
01<@DeathStar> 6* Kaji leans in to sniff Aschae's hand for food, then shifts and hops onto it, flapping her wings
<Kaelan> * Sia peers at Aschae and Kaji.
01<@DeathStar> <Angel> We will see. Right now keep your eyes and mind focused on the ruins in front of you
<Kit> 6Aschae lifts her arm up and peers between Kaji's legs.

<Kit> 6Aschae lowers her arm and leans in, pressing her cheek to the dragon's face. 1"You'd better be a good girl. It'd be a shame."
01<@DeathStar> 6* Passing the hallway, Thomas peers to the left; shattered glass is on the ground and beyond what might have been windows, though they went from the floor to the ceiling, is an opening into a cave- however, there's also more doors like above to the right and theh allway continues norhward

<Kaelan> * Sia giggles. "Come Kaji." *she pats her shoulder*
<Kit> 6Aschae eyes Sia, then Kaji, then Sia.

01<@DeathStar> 6* Kaji apparantly doesn't know commands; perhaps Sia needs Angel Whisperer
<Kaelan> * Sia hmms. She pulls out soe scrap fruit. "Here sweetie."
<Kit> 6Aschae holds her arm out closer to Sia and pats Kaji's head. 1"It's fine. Go ahead."

<Kit> <Aschae> Eh, serpents and their kin just seem more agreeable to me than most.
<Kaelan> * Sia smiles, she looks about the cave. "If I can teach it commands, it'll be easier to teach it to not eat people."
<Kit> <Nephilim> Depends on what you're looking for. I'd like to check the doors and such, but the cave is... probably where the serpent king was.
01<@DeathStar> <Thomas> We'll check the doors first, then the cave. I would not wish to deny you riches
01<@DeathStar> 6* Lenneth and the Angel are quiet, near each other and peering about expressionless. Gemane looks heckled at Kaji and Sia
<Kaelan> Sia> "Mmm, yes, the good artifacts may have been overlooked by the monsters as well."
<Kit> <Nephilim> I'll probably only find small things. Serpent kings, or dragons as humans like to call them, would have been horded.
<Kit> <Aschae> Don't worry, Gemane. I'll keep her from nibbling your toes.
01<@DeathStar> <Thomas> Then the cave it is. 6* He holds his glowstone ahead, stepping forward into the cave.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Gemane shows her teeth and moves to follow. lenneth and the Angel move along; Sonye peers about, at ease
<Kaelan> * Sia shrugs, following along. She pets Kaji as she moves.
01<@DeathStar> 6* AS they move through the cave, which is rocky and uneven, they can see bones here and there - but finally they reach an area that looks almost like a sleeping area, padding on the ground, fur about, a strange smell that's not unpleasant, and claw marks on the cave walls. Gemane's tail stiffens up and she sniffs the air, her normal blue eyes gone tawny and glowing
<Kaelan> * Sia looks about, "Definately a nesting area... look big enough for the King?"
<Kit> <Aschae> Judging by Gemane's reaction, probably.

01<@DeathStar> 6* She points at the padding, set next to each other, but big enough for a person
<Kit> <Nephilim> You think so?
<Kaelan> * Sia tilts herhead. "Could it still be alive, whatever it is?"
01<@DeathStar> <Gemane> The Mar'kus. 6* Kus sounding like kooose
<Kit> <Aschae> Hm?
01<@DeathStar> <Gemane> I can't believe they were on this island... 6* She mumbles, her tail swishing as she sniffs the air

<Kit> <Aschae> Wolven?
<Kaelan> Sia> "Humanoid wolfbarks?"
01<@DeathStar> <Gemane> Much like we have fox feaures, the Mar'kus have wolf ears and tails. But they can change into a full wolf beast and devour and attack their prey. They live on some islands near here. They've tried to take our women before to mate wih
<Kit> <Nephilim> Never heard of such a thing.
<Kaelan> Sia> "So they're generally not friends with your people?"
<Kit> <Aschae> Mm, like azuha, they're... neither seen nor heard where the church doesn't wish.
01<@DeathStar> <Gemane> We are not typically enemies; they are ruled more by their animal side than we. One male Mar'kus tried to pin me to the side of a tree and have it's way with me; I showed him the error of his ways
01<@DeathStar> <Gemane> Some humans consider them demons; humans that were turned into beasts. The Mar'Kus claim they were born with ears and tails
<Kaelan> Sia> "Sounds like Mr. Seth."
<Kit> <Aschae> Born or not, it is written they can be infectious like vampire demon.
<Kit> <Nephilim> Er... is that true..?
<Kit> 6Nephilim peers about paranoically.
<Kaelan> * Sia eeps. "Th-They can turn us into wolfbarks?"
01<@DeathStar> <Gemane> A kitsune was once scratched; they did not change
<Kit> <Aschae> How about bitten?
01<@DeathStar> <Gemane> Some Kitsune even found them attractive and joined them. Some Mar'Kus joined El's Kitsune. And no; sometimes excited Kitsune bite, as do Mar'Kus. They never changed.
01<@DeathStar> <Thomas> Hm, fascinating; it may be like vampiric demons - you need to drink their blood and they yours
01<@DeathStar> 6* Sonye is quiet, hiding in the shadows
01<@DeathStar> 6* Thomas looks completely fascinated, peering about the old camp
<Kit> <Nephilim> Think the serpent king took 'em out and stole their home?
<Kaelan> * Sia tilts her head. "So... there are nice wolfbark people too?"
01<@DeathStar> <Gemane> They are living beings like any one else; there are 'nice' humans, too?"
01<@DeathStar> 6* Gemane shows her teeth in a smile
<Kaelan> Sia> "Occasionally."
<Kit> <Aschae> Rarely.
01<@DeathStar> <Gemane> They are just ruled with their blood and passions more than we are; though as some of you no doubt saw, Kitsune are ruled by passion as well sometimes
<Kaelan> * Sia squeaks and blushes, toying with her collar.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Lenneth remains noncommited to the topic; Thomas peers down shamefully for humans, moving to collect what he can. The Angel speaks finally. <Angel> Likely the Serpent King did eat them.
<Kit> <Aschae> Poor things.
<Kaelan> Sia> "Mmm..." *she looks over the group, then at Thomas, as if only now thinking about the ratio of humans in this group*
01<@DeathStar> <Gemane> Yes; they can be very attractive. Strong, well built; most even have red manes and fur. I may be biased and think Kitsune to be very good looking, but so are the Mar'Kus. Hm, and so are elves. 6* She smiles a bit
01<@DeathStar> <LEnneth> Let us continue then. 6* Thomas nods and moves ahead again, using his light. The Angel peers over the bedding and does the same; on the walls are crude drawings made by claw - depicting a kitsune woman. Gemane studies it thughtfully, then moves
<Kaelan> * Sia peers over them and moves along too.
<Kit> 6Nephilim slowly squints at Gemane.
01<@DeathStar> <Gemane> They look like a kitsune that went missing many years ago; assumed eaten by the Serpent King
01<@DeathStar> 6* As they travel down the cave, it gets warmer. Kaji rers happily, as if used to this place
<Kaelan> Sia> "Hope this means it's not true... hmm... think we're getting... closer..."
<Kaelan> * Sia pauses. "Ummm... a thought occured."
01<@DeathStar> <Angel> And that is?
<Kit> <Aschae> It can mean many things..
01<@DeathStar> 6* The angel peers at her; as they move along, they pass an underground hotsprings
<Kaelan> Sia> "This is a baby." *she pats Kaji* "Don't you usually need... well... two of something to make a baby?"
<Kit> <Aschae> Usually.
01<@DeathStar> <Lenneth> Some beasts reproduce alone
<Kaelan> * Sia gulps. "What are the chances this one did?"
<Kit> <Nephilim> It's rumored dragons do so, but good luck getting close enough to study one.
<Kaelan> Sia> "I'm hoping not to."
<Kaelan> Sia> "Though... well..." *she looks at Kaji about the close enough to study one remark*
<Kit> <Aschae> They lay eggs, however, in few numbers and not often, hence how few live to be old and terrifying.
01<@DeathStar> 6* As they continue, the cave tunnel opens up more and more; they can hear the sound swof the ocean. Finally, the cavarn opens up to a huge area, where they can see more of the Rapgons moving about. There's a pile of shinies in the middle, and various other things; one wall opens directly to the sea, which is how they fly out
<Kit> <Nephilim> J-J... Jackpot..!
<Kaelan> * Sia nods. She speaks softly. "Looks like we found the horde..."
01<@DeathStar> 6* Thomas counts softly. "30."
<Kaelan> Sia> "If we could take them out from a distance..."
<Kit> 6Aschae starts to chuckle at that, smiling wickedly.
<Kit> <Aschae> Now you're singing my song..
<Kit> <Nephilim> I'm not singing anything--
<Kaelan> Sia> "D doesn't like fire, so magic is probably the best option..."
01<@DeathStar> 6* Thomas gets his sword ready. Sonye quietly shifts to a crouch, while Gemane sways sexily, in her battle stance. The Angel pulls her blade, taking a stance taught by Valen
<Kaelan> * Sia pulls out two throwing knives.
<Kit> 6Aschae aims for the ones most grouped together and grins, sending out high level fireballs, aiming to back them up by earth spikes-- preferably strategically on the front ones to form a wall between them and the creatures
01<@DeathStar> 6* The Rapgons screech when they are hit by the fire and the earth spikes; this sends the remaining 25 in a frenzy, running about
<Kit> 6Nephilim makes aface and starts to sing an empowering song amongst them
<Kaelan> * Sia tosses knives at two of them as they run about confused.
<Kit> <Aschae> Writhe as you must-- you'll die all the same, huhu.." 6She uses lower level fireballs to start picking on the remaining
01<@DeathStar> 6* As the knives hit them, they seem to find the group and charge in; fireballs take down more, but after a moment, 16 are closing in. Lenneth uses vines, making a spiked thornfield for the rapgons to trip over and cut themselves, but others use the dead to leap over and get in closer; 12 remain.
<Kit> 6Aschae casts Tornado in the center of them, laughing amusedly.
<Kaelan> * Sia pulls out two more knives, tossing them at oncoming lizards.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The angel focuses on empowering their magic, not fighting really; the Tornado knocks more about and knives strike more; finally 8 leap up into attack range; one attacks Thomas, who parries and stumbles, and Sonye leaps and claws into one's eyes, blinding it. Gemane shifts quickly, using mystifae to take out four more; the remaining 3 leap at the angel
<Kaelan> * Sia draws her evil looking knife and stabs at one leaping at teh Angel, moving in front of her.
<Kit> 6Aschae grips her staff and shifts to strike at any that make it through Sia
01<@DeathStar> 6* The rapgon screeches as it's stabbed, clawing at her in deaththroes' Aschae manages to hit another one, and the angel stabs the third
01<@DeathStar> 6* The second leaps at Aschae, btu vines grab it's legs
<Kaelan> * Sia lets go of the dagger so it'll drop and minimize the clawing, holding her hand after she does.
<Kit> 6Aschae twirls her staff and smashes it down at the rapgon's head
01<@DeathStar> 6* Kaji leaps and claws at the rapgon, making it's claw miss. It tries to eat her
01<@DeathStar> 6* It's head is hit and smashes into the ground.
<Kaelan> * Sia bats at the Rapgon with her dagger's blunt side when it tries to eat her cute baby.
<Kit> 6Nephilim, ever the opportunist, slides in and sees if she can stab it
01<@DeathStar> 6* Nephilim takes it out; the dead bodies each drop 50 copper, making 30 piles of 50 copper
01<@DeathStar> 6* The angel relaxes her channeling into Aschae, tired but okay. Sonye quietly licks her fingers clean, while Gemane hmphs at the dead rapgons
<Kaelan> * Sia scoops up about 4 piles, as she retrieves daggers from Rapgon bodies and sets Kaji back on her shoulder.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Thomas pants, sheathing his sword and heading for the pile of treasure
<Kit> 6Nephilim skips about collecting the rest
<Kaelan> * Sia trots over with Thomas.

01<@DeathStar> 6* Wynne sits on the top, directing the driver's now that they're closer
<XanTop> 6* Valen sits inside the carriage.
<XanTop> 6* Valen leans his head out. 1Are we almost there?
<Kit> 6Yewn sits inside as well, her hood overshadowing her face as per before, but Valen could see her tail twitching back and forth beneath the cloak.
<Kit> <Yewn> Yeah. Almost.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The carriage comes up on the cave and Wynne shudders, telling them to stop. The horses do so, ears twitch; the plains have high grass everywhere, and the tiny hill is barely noticeable. Likely Valen would have never seen it at all - perhaps a reason to have the mark: finding his sister easier
<XanTop> 6* Valen pauses and peers back in, then gets out of the carriage. 1Is this it? Keeping direction seems tough around here.
01<@DeathStar> <Wynne> This is where the monster was at. 6* She nods, peering about paranoidly
<XanTop> 6* Valen hmms. 1I suppose we should check for signs that they have been here. 6He moves towards the cave, eyes peering out for signs.
<Kit> <Yewn> I smell blood." 6She huffs.
<XanTop> <Valen> Fresh or old? 6He calls out.
<Kit> <Yewn> Well, nae brand new..
01<@DeathStar> 6* The high grass grows all about, swaying in the hot wing. The entrance of the cave is dank and smells bad
<XanTop> 6* Valen's nose crooks up slightly and he makes a face, shifting to move into the cave.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The darkness of the cave is bad, but his eyes adjust easier than human's. He'd see three paths, left, middle, and right - each path has tracks and drag marks like someone was dragged through
<XanTop> 6* Valen kneels just short of each of them, attempting to determine a direction from the tracks.
<Kit> 6Yewn peers out of the carriage at Wynne. 1"Do nae think th'creature is still 'round."
01<@DeathStar> <Wynne> I have nae idea.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Valen would be unable to tell anything from them; the only thing unusual is some horse tracks going to the right one, but other than that, all three paths have similiar tracks.
<XanTop> 6* Valen hmms and pulls out his saber as he shifts to attempt the right path, moving carefully now.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The right path slants downwards, the smell worse
<XanTop> 6* Valen is careful to watch his footing, and his nose curls up more. After trying to stand all he can he pulls the piece of his cloak up around his face to cover his nose.
01<@DeathStar> 6* As he reaches the bottom, it opens into a cavern; a dead monster is off to the side, beat up ; it's horn cut off. There was a sign there was a camp here, but who knows when, it could have even been a day ago. Blood is about and bones of the dead are scattered
<XanTop> 6* Valen moves around carefully, checking the camp to see if Rachael left any clues.
01<@DeathStar> 6* IT doesn't seem Rachael left any clues this time, which is unlike her. He can smell her faintly, though, and her scent is mixed with bl ood
<XanTop> 6* Valen frowns in concerns, turning to move back up to the split.
01<@DeathStar> 6* Valen arrives
<XanTop> 6* Valen shifts to step outside of the cave now, peering around for horse tracks on the outside of the cave.
01<@DeathStar> 6* The high grass makes horse tracks impossible to see; even their own carriage didn't keep the grass bent over trailing over it; it sprung right back up
01<@DeathStar> 6* Horse tracks are definitely going into the cave and properly coming back out, but other than that, nothing
01<@DeathStar> *probably, not properly

Thomas activates the glowstone and it reveals they are in a square room, but the wall in front of them is thin, and on the other side they hear the noises of prisoners. They are in the basement of the church itself

01<DeathStar> 6* Thomas shines the light around and realizes they are in a prison like cell, a trap for whoever enters it. Aschae would feel some magics trigger to render the stone useless, and they will have to find the source in the church building itself to use it again.
