  • History:

While not known as the Coalition of Amatsune at first, it began to take shape after the Angelic War under the Azuha known as Ty. Originally, during the God Era, there were two islands full of Azuha, one a warrior race run by the Azuha El so they could prepare to aid the Angel, and the other island the children and those who didn't want to fight, protected by the Azuha Gemane. During the Angelic War, the islands were discovered and the Azuha were scatterd. After it was over and El and Gemane were lost after the final battle, the warrior Ty began to gather the Azuha who wished to stay amongst their own kind - and those who wished to stay with the Azuha they fell in love with/married or just plain liked to follow around - and make a community for them. Many Azuha remained in the Kingdom of Nuege (Neer) and others were scattered all over Tareh, but many came to follow under Ty at the time. Seeking a place to stay, they settled on the Island Nation island that Libet managed to take control over with her pirates and money.

Taking control of the jungle part that was like their island, while they paid rent in a sense for the land, they were left alone and given the land to rule and do with as their own, and Libet and her fleet protected them. Ty's rule was very fair and the Azuha followed their guidelines they always had - laid back and nonchalant, allowing their instincts to guide their hearts. Women shared mates, especially males who were few, and they sought males of other races who were willing to marry or if not that, donate seeds. The Azuha were foremost a community above all else. Zuzu also helped Ty run as her second in command and the two were just and fair, with a 6 body that was voted in every 3 years by the community to help vote on matters, while Shogun Ty and Zuzu were a constant - the two were final says on matters and had veto powers and ran the military, such as it was, but the committee voted on what the public wanted. This suited them well, but things began to get crazy when a virus began in 2490 AJ through 2540 AJ that killed off most of the humans in the world, leaving the elves the highest populated beings on the planet, with the Azuha next. Libet and her forces were now severely weakened and the island they were on now how had shifted radically to beneath Matias.

Ty finally began to grow concern when the elves above them across a small body of water, began to form the United Elven Front in 2541 AJ and began to take over all of Matias and began to take over parts of the Kingdom of Navarro, attacking human farmers who survived the virus to take their land. While taking over Matias took a good portion of time, the human farmer attacking began around 2565 AJ. In 2570 AJ, when the elves/halflings beheaded the King and sent his head back to his advisors in the capital, Shogun Ty began to gather the Azuha and discuss that they needed to leave the island and set up their own Kingdom and become a world power. They had enough Azuha and non-Azuha married to them that it was viable and it was clear that Tareh was changing at this point. So as Navarro became the Kingdom of Gelus, Ty began to travel around Tareh looking for a good place to set up, leaving Zuzu in charge.

Shogun Ty spoke with Ama and Tsukiyomi about the events and got their ear, and learned of an island south of the Kingdom of Nuege (Neer). Scoping it and out and learning of how the mana there seemed to energize her and the island despite it's small size seemed...right, she began to make preparations. Asking Neer to prepare it for their arrival, she began to spend the next 20 years getting Azuha around the world ready. When she returned in 2590 AJ, it was a matter of getting things ready there as well. Because the island was rugged, it was not quite ready for their arrival. This turned out to be fortunous - when the Elven Civil War broke out in 2620 - 2624 AJ for 5 years, and broke the UEF into two kingdoms, Badelf and Blantress - one kingdom intent on destroying humans for what they did and the other neutral - a third group set sail and arrived on the island in 2625 AJ. By this point, many Azuha around the world were already moving to the new site, including Shogun Ty and the council, but many were still left behind. Those left behind helped the elves who arrived adjust over the next ten years and the leader who was there was Zuzu, so that they made the island the Kingdom of Ama'dorei in honor of the goddess Ama in thanks of her Azuha.

The Coalition of Amatsune is firmly established on their new island in 2635 AJ with Shogun Ty and Zuzu as the overall leaders, the voted council now every 4 years by the public being 12 people, and Ama, Tsukiyomi, and Amazo having a voice in the say of the government equal to Ty and Zuzu. Together they all run the government, each focusing on a branch of it - Ty and Amazo focusing on the military and protection, Zuzu focusing on the running of the civil branches with council, and Tsuki and Ama handling the spiritual side of the government and advising it, as well as training the Azuha much like the Kitsune of old days.

Despite the joy of forming their own Kingdom, a mar on it is the Demon Realm's rise and attacks on various kingdoms. With Neer shielding them so far as an island so the Azuha could safely get their army together and get their cities in order, the rest of Tareh at this point suffers around them, making many question what their role will be in events. It culminates under one demon named Asmodeus taking control of the demons and taking control of the Western Lands past Sinai which becomes known as the Empire of Alrhyl. Perhaps jumping in too early and trying to help out, casualities are suffered despite some warnings from clear heads and the Azuha warriors are killed/taken during the 40 years the demons are their most aggressive leading up to 2700 AJ. Learning from their mistakes, an older Ty and Amazo begin to temper themselves in the 50 years that follow.

Around 2750 AJ, however, a new Azuha group forms that catches the Coalition by surprise. Named the Republic of Umbal, they form to the far south so that they're off the radar and eyes of of the Coalition and hard to keep track of without sending ships down there constantly. Sending diplomats, they can tell these Azuha have different methods of Ama's Azuha, or even the Azuha raised by El that never took alliegence to Ty following the Angelic War. These Azuha don't seem to have ever even lived in Neer, which they are tight enough allies to have a Guild of Wizards staying in the Coalition even. The Azuha in the Republic seem more extreme in their methods and actions, and their mentality in approaching things are different. They also seemed more focus on the floating islands in the sky and the remants on the Red Planet in the sky and the rumored races that lived up there. Ama, as the spiritual advisor, warned the Azuha in the Coalition that something was off about them and to handle the Republic with caution. Since they posed no military threat, and they were trading with the Empire and others in the south, Ty had no grounds to do more. Plus, folloiwing that in 2751, the Kingdom of Badelf launched a 30 year war against the Kingdom of Gelus that began to drag all the kingdoms, including the Coalition, into it.

With Badelf attempting to destroy the humans in Gelus again, Ty refused to back down and joined other races in attempting to stop their aggression. The first 15 years were brutual and the Azuha aided the other Kingdoms in stopping it. There was some incidents were reports of Azuha from the Republic were aiding the Badelf Kingdom, though they seemed to be against it at the same time, leading to conflicting reports, but before it could be investigated, the demons in the final 15 years began to attack everyone. This exhausted all the Kingdom's supplies, including the Coalition, so after the war, they Azuha began to focus on their own inner concerns instead of others'. When the Empire tried to send in priests preaching their religion in return from protection from demons and supplies, the Coalition rejected it and focused on inner defense and spiritual focus.

With Ty getting older, she finally retired in 2790 AJ and was replaced by her daughter, Lyn. Zuzu also finally slowed down and retired in 2820 AJ and was replaced by her son Zun. The Coalition's inner focus led to a new age - though the kingdom isn't technically advanced, it's cities are more in touch with nature and are impressive with what the Azuha have managed, impressive jungle houses, that shine with holy energy that they have harnessed to protect them against demon attacks. The Capital is a large city that's got a mix of nature/normal clay buildings, with buildings that are tall and rival some of the Empire's tallest, with the help of Ama and Amazo and Tsuki. There's shrines to them with the moon, sun, and warrior god displayed and the city is amazing to behold.

When the Badelf Kingdom tried to attack again in 2845 - 2850 AJ, the Coalition aided less, but aided nonetheless, and the Badelf Kingdom was stopped, leading to the Forced Check Era below.

    Recent History/Politics:

Part of the group with the Kingdom of Neer and the Kingdom of Ama'dorei, in back door politics to police both the Kingdom of Badelf, but also to keep an eye on Umbal and find out what they are up to, despite there being no real red flags yet, the Demon Realm, and the Empire with it's religion. By entering a treaty with each other, if one kingdom is attacked, the other two will come to the defense of the others. They are also in trade treaties with the Empire, Gelus, and Blantress.

Due to having the goddesses and Amazo, they work on trying to make sure the world is safe, and the especially work on training the Azuha the ways of the Kitsune, and trying to learn what is different about Umbal. Also, they try to learn what is up with the harvest fail, the leyline shifts, and the islands in the sky.

The current leaders are Lyn, the daughter of Ty, and Zun, the son of Zuzu. Both appear to be in their late teens, early twenties, but are much older, and are leading the kingdom, along with Ama, Tsuki, and Amazo quite well since they took over.
