Catmews:

Catmews have begun to spring up rapidly after the Angelic War, perhaps due to the Angel's influence, or the discovery of one Haru. Either way, breeding like cats, these cat humanoids have begun cropping up over Tareh. While they still rank below Elves, Azuha, and Humans, and around Bunpers in numbers, they are slowly clawing their way up in populations. Once able to have full litters per pregnancy, after the virus hit humans, they too began to have only one or two children per pregnancy, then typically only one child nearing the last 10 years before the Forced Check Era.

Catmews come in all sizes, shapes, hair colors, and whatnot. They typically have the special ability to touch you and can read your past and memories - those this is found in Catmews who have two tails. Though sometimes one-tail Catmews can pull this off. This means Catmews are typically more psionic based than any other race on Tareh. They are not very strong however, typically favoring magik, or if they cannot do magik, thieving.

Catmews also have no kingdom and can be found all over Tareh, especially in Neer where they originated and due to Sia Mason's lineage. Much like mangy cats are found all over Earth, you can typically found a Catmew in any Kingdom that will allow them, since they take occupations of peddlars and gypsys - and thieves. And get snatched a lot in demon raids to be slaves (especially those with black hair).

Due to their diverse nature, you can typically make a unique Catmew, as long as they are not strength based - they make great mages, or great agile thieves, or great agile sneaks, and since they are everywhere, they blend in well. And even if they are not the kind who can touch and see into one's past, they do have some psionic talent, even if it's faint. See below.

Generic Traits (You can only pick 3):

1) Enhances senses/smells/sounds. As well as a deep sense of Mana and Leylines.

2) Alluring: The Catmew is considered especially attractive due to her well kept kitty features. This may work as a double edged knife however.

3) Past Touch: The Catmew can look into someone's past by making physical contact with them. If the memories they view are powerful or violent, it can be very distressing. Takes up two trait slots unless the catmew has two tails.

4) Super Napping Powers: If able to get 10 consecutive hours of sleep, gains temporary bonuses to EXP.

5) Fish Attractor Power: Can touch an object, causing it to become massively attractive to fish, makes fishing easy!

6) Extremely flexible and spinal cord flexibility.

Racial Advantages/Disadvantages:

Advantage: Every 5 Level Ups, you gain 25 mana.

Advantage: Always land on your feet.

Disadvantage: You require more sleep then most others do. Damn lazy cats.

Disadvantage: As a catmew, you have a basic stigma where some people will treat you more like an animal then a human.

Catmew Talents:

1) Catmew Psion Adept: This is the principal talent tree needed to take for a Catmew to unlock their Psionic Powers. Afterwards, you create your own Psionic talent trees. There is also a Psionic Adept Ability tree you need to take and a Psionic Adept Skill tree you need to take before you can take Psionic Abilities and Psionic Skills.

Tier 1: This unlocks the Psionic Adept tree below. At this point you still cannot do anything of anything to anything.

Tier 2: You are capable of hearing buzz from others and slight emotions from those you are close to/been around a lot.

Tier 3: You are able to feel the emotions from those you are close to if they don't hide it from you and can feel their thoughts sometimes if they don't hide it from you.

Tier 4: You are able to move very small objects a few feet toward you at this point.

Tier 5: You have unlocked Psionic Adept Abilities and Skills.

Bonus Tier 1 and 2: Up to you

--

2) Damn Cats: Catmews are very much like their animal and monster counterparts, lithe, graceful, prone to be quick and make excellent hunter and predators. This talent shows how the Catmew has honed their body to be especially quick or repsonsive, and excellent practice for the Catmew seeking to be a theif of a rogue.

Tier 1: The Catmew becomes more graceful in her overall movements. Through careful training, every moment is deliberate.

Tier 2: The Catmew will always land on her feet. If the Catmew has the advantage that matches this ability, they can also fall much further then normal people without suffering any damage.

Tier 3: The Catmew can quickly recover from being knocked down, able to twist their body to quickly get to a standing position. Great for avoiding being helpless during an attack.

Tier 4: You map how this talent progresses from here.

Tier 5: You map how this talent progresses from here.

Bonus Tier 1 and 2: Up to you

Catmew Abilities:

1) Catmew Psion Adept Abilities: You can take this once you have learned Tier 5 of the Catmew Psion Adept Talent Tree. This allows you access to the abilities below.

Lv. 1: If you strain your mind hard, you can hear thoughts of those close to you, but they will know you are doing so. You are only picking up their surface thoughts. Energy: 10

Lv. 2: If you focus very hard, your friends are unaware you are reading their surface thoughts. Energy: 15

Lv. 3: If you focus very hard, you can read the surface thoughts of others without being detected. Energy: 20 / Disadvantage: Sometimes you are detected.

Lv. 4: You are able to read the surface thoughts of others you are not familiar without with trying that hard and straining yourself. Energy: 30 (Disadvantage 1: You are sometimes detected. Disadvantage 2: Sometimes your thoughts are transmitted instead. Disadvantage 3: Sometimes you are left mentally vulnerable to attack.)

After this point you can create your own psionic abilities to fit your character.

--

2) All Seeing Paw: Catmews are known for a strange talent to view people's pasts by touch, with a lot of practice, those very rare Catmews can take their power to new heights, taking leaps and bounds with it to explore the past more thoroughly. You must take Generic Trait 3 to access this ability.

Lv. 1: The Catmew can touch a sleeping person to view much deeper memories then when they are awake, while the mind is vulnerable and bringing up information from the subconcious. If the person is in a deep enough sleep, the Catmew can even "browse" memories, seeking specific information they want to learn.

Lv. 2: The Catmew can temporarily seize memories of another and adapt it into their being, allowing them to copy the Racial Ability or Skill of another for a short time and use it as if it was one of their own. Energy Cost: 70 (Disadvantage 1: This ability may fail at any time.)

Lv. 3: The Catmew can begin to search and browse a concious person's memory like they previously could someone asleep, this takes a stonger effort as the person may put up resistance both to touch and in trying to hide their past. Energy Cost: 70 (Disadvantage: The person touched may block the Catmews attempts if they have a certain stat higher then the Catmew does.)

Lv. 4: The Catmew can read the pasts of inanimate objects, allowing them to search it's past much like they would a living person. This uses traces of those whom interacted the object, and thus requires much more effort. Energy Cost: 60 (Disadvantage 1: The images and information given is often sketchy and conflicting if multiple people are attached to an object. Disadvantage 2: If the item is connected to a violent act, there is the possibility that the Catmew will experience any pain inflicted by the object as feedback. Disadvantage 3: This ability can only be used once, the kitty needs a power nap after to use it again.)

--

3) Catmew Claws: Catmews can harden their fingertips into claws capable for use in combat, this represents that special refinement.

Lv. 1: This will cause the Catmew's fingers to form Tier 3 type claws on their hands. Energy Used: 40

Lv. 2: This will cause the Catmew's fingers to form Tier 6 type claws on their hands. Energy Used: 70

Lv. 3: This will cause the Catmew's fingers to form Tier 9 type claws on their hands.Energy Used: 100 (Disadvantage if Taken: Sometimes stamina will drain more rapidly when refilling Energy)

Lv. 4: This will cause the Catmew's fingers to form Tier 12 type claws on their hands. Energy Used: 130 (Disadvantage 1: Sometimes the claw will nor form properly and need to be reformed. Disadvantage 2: If your hands are damaged, the claws will dissapate. Disadvantage 3: Sometimes, despite using Lv. 4, your attacks are Tier 3)

--

4) Catmew Alatricity: Catmews can sometimes learn to use their natural grace and speed to enhance their powers. The player may choose what to make of this ability, it should enhance speed, reflexes, or defense in some way.

---

Catmew Skills:

1) Catmew Psion Adept Skills: You can take this once you have learned Tier 5 of the Catmew Psion Adept Talent Tree. This allows you access to the skills below.

Lv. 1: If you strain your mind hard, you can throw objects at people. Energy: 10

Lv. 2: You can throw small objects at people without straining your mind. Energy: 15

Lv. 3: You can lift a person a few feet and throw them a few more by straining very hard. Energy: 20 / Disadvantage: Sometimes this fails and you get feedback, collapsing for a few moments.

Lv. 4: You can lift a person a few feet and throw them a few more without straining. Energy: 30 (Disadvantage 1: Sometimes your psionics fail you. Disadvantage 2: If you are facing another psionic, they can rebound effect you and hurl you into the wall without wasting energy. Disadvantage 3: Sometimes you get a headache doing this move.)

After this point you can create your own psionic skills to fit your character.

--

2) Kitty Claw Skill: These are attacks made with your Kitty Claws. You much have the Catmew Claws ability in order to take this talent. You may fill in the four attacks however you please, to fit your own unique combat style.
