"Shake off your slumber. Seize upon the truth. Take the element in hand and kill God."

Demon Blades are legendary swords which have the thoughts and minds of a living person. It is said to hold a Demon Blade is to wield a weapon far greater then any that can be forged by even the greatest of smiths. Many Myths and Legends exist about these blades, they are said to be forged by Demons and all of them agree that the price to make one if the soul of a living being. The truth is unknown, even by the Blades themselves, however, they are living beings, capable of taking on the forms of human beings (and as recently discovered, a Spirit Animal), displaying feelings and emotions, even the capacity to love.

Demon Blades are extremely rare, it is unknown if more then the three that currently walk Tareh even exist, some say the Church collected and destroyed others, some say that the smith who made them was slain by a hero long in the past. A Demon Blade encompasses an element, ehther Wind, Water, Earth, Fire, Lightning, Ice, Holy or Darkness, each one uniquely displays an element just like any other living person.

Each Blade has a form of Stigmata, on their blade form a single word is written in Ancient, which reflects their natures, this word is not firm, it can change just as they can.

Generic Traits (You can only pick 3):

1) May change the form of your sword every time you change your bond.

2) May alter the way your human form looks with new weilder.

3) Minor non-ability usage with your element.

4) May retain one bond while taking on others.

5) Minor non-ability interacting with Ancient Technology.

6) Random chance to restore energy. Ask GM to see if succeeds.

Racial Advantages/Disadvantages:

Advantage: Demon Blades as swords by nature do not need to breathe and are unaffected by weather.

Advantage: Demon Blades are far less likely to break in sword form then even Tier 12 weapons.

Disadvantage: Demon Blades are treated with stigma due to their name, despite not being demons.

Disadvantage: Demon Blades cannot develop a personality without a Master. They must bond to grow.

Demon Blade Abilities:

Bonded Master: The Demon Blade is able to form a spiritual connection with one person, this person shares his or her energy with the Blade. When in sword form, the Bonded Master can command the full range of the Demon Blade's powers and use the sword to it's fullest Tier Potential, even if the weilder normally could not handle the type of weapon in question.

Lv. 1: The bond is intiated with someone. Simple thoughts are shared.

Lv. 2: Feelings and location are shared between bond partners. You can also access the Sword Repair ability.

Lv. 3: Powers can be shared. For one overall ability or skill you can take something from that person's race that your bond partner has learned. You can shape it into your own form though.

Lv. 4: The final level of bonding. You are completely intimate and intune with each other. You can also now begin this process over again with someone else if you meet certain parimeters. This allows you to transfer over stats to your bond partner and vice versa.

Weapon Mimicry: This allows the Demon Blade to form weapons which mimic their own sword forms, arming them in their human forms for combat.

Lv. 1: This is for tier 3 weapons. It will do damage equivalent for this damage output. Energy Used: 20

Lv. 2: This is for tier 6 weapons. It will do damage equivalent for this damage output. Energy Used: 30

Lv. 3: This is for tier 9 weapons. It will do damage equivalent for this damage output. Energy Used: 40 (Disadvantage if Taken: Sometimes stamina will drain more rapidly when refilling Energy)

Lv. 4: This is for tier 12 weapons. It will do damage equivalent for this damage output. Energy Used: 50 (Disadvantage 1: Sometimes the weapon will fizzle out and will need to reform, costing the full energy usage again. Disadvantage 2: If your Bonded Master is injured in some way it may cause your weapons to weaken. Disadvantage 3: Sometimes, despite using Lv. 4, your attacks are Tier 3)

Manifest Thy Armor: Demon Blades can summon armor and clothing into existance when taking on human form. While clothing is merely a reflection of the sword itself, the armor is a powerful tool, allowing the Demon Blade to defend their master from harm. Speak with the GM on how you want to progress the armor, as this is an extension of the self, it is typically self-repairing, but if you don't devote a level to it, it will repair between mission instead of during them. If you pick this ability, your armor goes into your body armor slot.

---

Be Thy Own Smith, Repair Thyself: Demon Blades have the unique circumstance of being actual weapons at times in combat, and as all weapons can, they can take damage and experience wear and tear over time. With this ability, the Demon Blade becomes able to repair itself during combat, or even make itself unbreakable over time. Without this ability, the Demon Blade must either be fixed with a smith's aid or recieve healing from a doctor or mage in human form to repair damage.

---

Master Thy Form, Master Thy Looks: One interesting thing a Demon Blade can do that is similar to Demons is to change it's looks and it's form, taking on a human aspect to interact with the world around it. This may well be why Demon Blades get their name, their ability to shapeshift.

Lv. 1: The Demon Blade can take on human form, to switch between Sword and Human form, the Demon Blade must expend a small amount of energy. The form they take is set, a certain look and featuers that reflect the Human Soul used to forge them. Energy Cost: 10

Lv. 2: The Demon Blade may now alter it's features and looks in human form to make itself look however it pleases. These changes are minor, from altering hair and eye colors to facial structure and certain body proportions. Energy Cost: 30

Lv. 3: The Demon Blade can now make drastic alterations to it's humanoid form, taking on features similar to other races, from an Azuha Tail and Ears to Elven Ears, all the way to the full on Wolf looks of a Mar'Kus. Energy Cost: 30 (Disadvantage if Taken: The Demon Blade's looks aren't natural to it, and may not fool someone if they're using it as a disguise.)

Lv. 4: The Demon Blade can alter themselves drastically, tapping into their inner spirit, they can take on the form of an animal which reflects their spirit. The size of the animal is relative and controllable by the Demon Blade, and the form is chosen by their player when this skill is taken. Energy Cost: 40 (Disadvantage 1: This form does not fool other animals of what you are, you will need another ability to communicate and talk to them like this. Disadvantage 2: The Demon Blade becomes slightly feral in this form, acting more like the animal they have taken the form of. Disadvantage 3: There is a chance your control of this form can fizzle, forcing you back into your normal body.)

Demon Blade Skills:

Seize the Element: You are able of harness the core element of your Affinity, creating powerful attacks with that element, expending your mana and energy as though it were magik spells.

Lv. 1: Energy Blast - A basic energy strike using the element you have an affinity with, this may manifest as a beam or a blast of energy projectile. Energy Cost: 30

Lv. 2: ?? - Fill this attack out yourself, lazy.

Lv. 3: ?? - Fill this attack out yourself, lazy. It may have one disadvantage to lower costs.

Lv. 4: Ultimate Strike - You harness the element and blast it outward in a powerful strike, this attack stuns the enemy on top of causing powerful damage. Energt Cost: 60 (Disadvantage 1: This attack may only be performed once per session. Disadvantage 2: This ability causes strain on the user, leaving them vulnerable for a few moments after the attack to incoming attacks. Disadvantage 3: This attack leaves the Demon Blade tired, causing their stamina to only work at half it's normal strength until the end of combat.)

---

Master the Element: This is for you to create a special skill with your element. Look at the list below for what each element can produce and create a skill based on those parameters. You may only pick one quality for the element. If you wish a second quality, make a second skill.
