Previous TAWs

Those blessed, or cursed, with the mark of the angel, have been granted access to new abilities beyond that of a normal mortal. However, they also come at great cost. The more your mark grows, the more advantages you gain, but the more disadvantages. As your mark grows, you need to weigh how it will progress, knowing for that very level it gains, you will have to accept disabilities along with the benefits.

Note, if you pick skills like Increased Energy, Superhuman Energy, etc. you have to announce you are tapping into those abilities to get the bonuses for the short durations they last.

 

Level 1:

The first level of the mark is the most basic, and can still be removed by the angel at physical damage to her body. Once you advance to the second level, though, it's impossible to say if the mark will vanish. Below are a list of advantages and disadvantages that come with the mark. You will pick three advantages from the list below, as well as three disadvantages. Even if you do not decide to pick three advantages, you will have to pick three disadvantages. Keep in mind future levels may need you to have picked an advantage from a previous level, so balance wisely. Some higher levels will be hidden, however, leaving you to guess how to develop and balance advantages against disadvantages.

Advantages:

Faster Healing Time: When your body is injured, you will heal quicker and consistently until the wound is healed. If you choose them, any injury inflicted on you, will be healed slowly over time even without proper treatment or direct healing by the angel.

Increased Strength: Your strength stat is temporarily increased by 20 for a small duration of time, allowing you to deal more damage. Level caps do not limit the 20 increase.

Increased Speed: Your speed stat is temporarily increased by 20 for a small duration of time, allowing you to move faster for a short period of time. Level caps do not limit the 20 increase.

Increased Energy: Your energy stat is temporarily increased by 20 for a small duration of time, allowing you to have more energy for a short period of time. Level caps do not limit the 20 increase.

Increased Stamina: Your stamina stat is temporarily increased by 20 for a small duration of time, allowing you to recover faster for a short period of time. Level caps do not limit the 10 increase.

Increased Magic Useage: You can use magic more before your MP runs.

Increased Magic Effectiveness: Magic does more damage if it is an attack, protects more if it's protective, etc.

Disadvantages:

Lifeforce Drain: The angel can drain life from a person to either heal herself, or another. This may cause massive damage to the person being drained.

Strength Impairment: The angel can drain up to 20 points of strength from a user. If the person doesn't even have that amount, they are left with no strength when this occurs.

Speed Impairment: The angel can drain up to 20 points of speed from a user. If the person doesn't have that amount, they are left hardly any movement speed when this occurs.

Stamina Impairment: The angel can drain up to 20 points of stamina from a user. If the person doesn't have that amount, they are left wide open to attack damage.

Energy Impairment: The angel can drain up to 20 points of energy from a user. If the person doesn't have that amount, they are left wide open to attack damage.

No Magic Useage: The angel can drain the person's magic power completely for long periods of time.

 

Level 2:

Once the angel offers to increase her mark, you may accept the offer for more advantages and disadvantages. You must pick three advantages and two disadvantages.

Advantages:

Improved Healing Time: If you have picked Faster Healing Time (Level 1), when your body is injured, your wounds will heal rapidly and quickly, even during a battle, instead over a long, but consistent period of time.

Free Magic Level: This will give you an automatic magic increase by one level.

Superhuman Strength: If you have picked Increased Strength (Level 1), you strength stat is temporarily increased by 40 for a small duration of time, allowing you to deal more damage. Level caps do not limit the 40 increase.

Superhuman Speed: If you have picked Increased Speed (Level 1), your speed stat is temporarily increased by 40 for a small duration of time, allowing you to move faster. Level caps do not limit the 40 increase.

Superhuman Energy: If you have picked Increased Energy (Level 1), your energy stat is temporarily increased by 40 for a small duration of time, allowing you to use more energy. Level caps do not limit the 40 increase.

Superhuman Stamina: If you have picked Increased Stamina (Level 1), your stamina stat is temporarily increased by 40 for a small duration of time, allowing you to take more of a beating. Level caps do not limit the 40 increase.

Increased Stamina: Your stamina stat is temporarily increased by 20 for a small duration of time, allowing you to take more of a beating for a short period of time. Level caps do not limit the 20 increase.

Disadvantages:

Stat Impairment 1: Your health, stamina, and strength are temporarily decreased by 20 for a small duration of time by the angel.

Stat Impairment 2: Your energy, speed, and reflexes are temporarily decreased by 20 for a small duration of time by the angel.

Decreased Magic Level: You lose one magic level permanately.

Skill Loss: Any skills you have are temporarily disabled. Even swimming.

 

Level 3:

Once the angel offers to increase her mark, you may accept the offer for more advantages and disadvantages. You must either pick three advantages and two disadvantage OR two advantages and one disadvantage.

Advantages:

Free Magic Level: Gain one free level of magic.

Angel Strength: If you have picked Superhuman Strength (Level 2), your strength stat is temporarily increased by 60 for a small duration of time, allowing you to use more strength. Level caps do not limit the 60 increase.

Angel Speed: If you have picked Superhuman Speed (Level 2), your speed stat is temporarily increased by 60 for a small duration of time, allowing you to move faster. Level caps do not limit the 60 increase.

Angel Energy: If you have picked Superhuman Energy (Level 2), your energy stat is temporarily increased by 60 for a small duration of time, allowing you to use more energy. Level caps do not limit the 60 increase.

Angel Stamina: If you have picked Superhuman Stamina (Level 2), your stamina stat is temorarily increased by 60 for a small duration of time, allowing you to use more stamina. Level caps do not limit the 60 increase.

Superhuman Stamina: If you have picked Increased Stamina (Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3), your stamina stat is temporarily increased by 40 for a small duration of time, allowing you to take more of a beating. Level caps do not limit the 40 increase.

Superhuman Strength: If you have picked Increased Strength (Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3), you strength stat is temporarily increased by 40 for a small duration of time, allowing you to deal more damage. Level caps do not limit the 40 increase.

Disadvantages:

Lose Magic Level: Lose one magic level.

Complete Immobility: The angel may sap all your speed and stamina, leaving you unable to move or defend yourself temporarily

Advantages Gone: You temporarily lose every advantage gained from all levels from the Angel's Mark.

More MP: Magic takes 300 mana more to use than normal.

 

Level 4:

Once the angel offers to increase her mark, you may accept the offer for more advantages and disadvantages. You must either pick three advantages and two disadvantage OR two advantages and one disadvantage.

Advantages:

Permenant Strength Increase: You will gain a permenant 20 to strength if you have picked Angel Strength (Level 3)

Permenant Speed Increase: You will gain a permenant 20 to speed if you have picked Angel Speed (Level 3)

Permenant Energy Increase: You will gain a permenant 20 to energy if you have picked Angel Energy (Level 3)

Permenant Stamina Increase: You will gain a permenant 20 to stamina if you have picked Angel Stamina (Level 3)

Angel Strength: If you have picked Superhuman Strength (Level 2 or Level 3), your strength stat is temporarily increased by 60 for a small duration of time, allowing you to use more strength. Level caps do not limit the 60 increase.

Two Free Magic Levels: You will gain two free magic levels

Elemental Affinity Add-On: Every character has a specific element they are attuned to, meaning they can do more damage with that particular element. This allows a second elemental affinity so that a second element will do more damage as well.

Disadvantages:

Permenant Strength Decrease: You will lose 20 points to strength.

Permenant Speed Decrease: You will lose 20 points to speed.

Permenant Stamina Decrease: You will lose 20 points to stamina.

Permenant Energy Decrease: You will lose 20 points to energy.

Angel Control: The angel can take you over completely and have you do whatever she wants.

 

 Level 5:

Once the angel offers to increase her mark, you may accept the offer for more advantages and disadvantages. You must either pick three advantages and two disadvantage OR two advantages and one disadvantage.

Advantages:

Angelic Permenant Strength Increase: You will gain a permenant +30 to strength if you have picked Permenant Strength Increase ( Level 4 and Level 5)

Angelic Permenant Speed Increase: You will gain a permenant +30 to speed if you have picked Permenant Speed Increase ( Level 4 and Level 5)

Angelic Permenant Energy Increase: You will gain a permenant +30 to energy if you have picked Permenant Energy Increase ( Level 4 and Level 5)

Angelic Permenant Stamina Increase: You will gain a permenant +30 to stamina if you have picked Permenant Stamina Increase ( Level 4 and Level 5)

Permenant Strength Increase: You will gain a permenant 20 to strength if you have picked Angel Strength (Level 3, Level 4, or Level 5)

Permenant Speed Increase: You will gain a permenant +20 to speed if you have picked Angel Speed (Level 3, Level 4, or Level 5)

Permenant Energy Increase: You will gain a permenant +5 to energy if you have picked Angel Energy (Level 3, Level 4, or Level 5)

Quicker Magik Level Ups: The necessary exp to level up your magik levels will be cut in half with this ability.

Ressurection: If you die once every 10 sessions, you will automatically be revived by the Angel's Mark - but you will be in bad shape when you do.

Five Free Magic Levels: You will gain five magik levels.

Disadvantages:

(you cannot pick Angel Control again if you picked it the previous level)

Permenant Strength Decrease: You will lose 30 points to strength.

Permenant Speed Decrease: You will lose 30 points to speed.

Permenant Stamina Decrease: You will lose 30 points to stamina.

Angel Reflexes and Perception: Your reflex and perception stats are temporarily increased by 40 for a small duration of time if you have picked Increased Reflexes and Perception (Level 4 and Level 5). Level caps do not limit the 40 increase.

Angel Melee, Hand to Hand, and Ranged Weapons: Your melee, hand to hand, and ranged weapon stats are temporarily increased by 40 for a small duration of time if you have picked Increased Melee, Hand to Hand, and Ranged Weapons (Level 4 and Level 5). Level caps do not limit the 40 increase.

Elemental Affinity Spells Learned: Whatever your MAIN elemental affinity is, you will learn all the spells in that section and any points put into those spells will be refunded back to you

Mana Pool Increase: Your mana pool is now doubled.

10 Free Magik Levels: You will gain 10 magik levels.

Instant Heal: Instead of healing quickly over time, you will instantly restore all your wounds once every 5 sessions.

Disadvantages:

Permenant Magik Offense and Magik Defense Decrease: You will lose 20 points to Magik Offense and Magik Defense.

Permenant Reflexes and Perception Decrease: You will lose 20 points to Reflexes and Perception.

Permenant Melee, Hand to Hand, and Ranged Weapons Decrease: You will lose 20 points to Melee, Hand to Hand, and Ranged Weapons.

Sacrifice: The Angel can take your life and empower the entire team with your life energy. Sadly, you will be dead.

Complete Loss: All your stats will go to 0 and all your skills will be ineffective for whatever duration the Angel saps all your power away. You will be completely helpless to attack by enemies.

 

Level 7

To unlock Level 7 with Jean or Anne, you must first find something that makes them tick and open up to you beyond that just of their normal feelings for the team. A certain key ingrident is necessary and there's multiple paths one can take to get her to agree to a seventh level. It's up to you as the player to figure out what they may be.

Once the angel offers to increase her mark, you may accept the offer for more advantages and disadvantages. You must either pick four advantages and three disadvantages OR three advantages and two disadvantage OR two advantages and one disadvantage. OR if you have a certain skill you can get a bonus option.

Angelic Strength Cap: This will raise your Strength max of 100 to 150. You still have to put in the caps necessary to increase but they will be raised by 10 from now on instead of 5. (ask the GM for more details if confused. This is open only if you have picked Angelic Permenant Strength Increase.

Angelic Speed Cap: This will raise your Speed max of 100 to 150. You still have to put in the caps necessary to increase but they will be raised by 10 from now on instead of 5. (ask the GM for more details if confused. This is open only if you have picked Angelic Permenant Speed Increase.

Permenant Magik Offense and Magik Defense Increase: You will gain a permenant +20 to Magik Offense and Magik Defense if you have picked Angel Magik Offense and Magik Defense (Level 5, Level 6, and Level 7)

Permenant Reflexes and Perception Increase: You will gain a permenant +20 to Reflexes and Perception if you have picked Angel Reflexes and Perception (Level 5, Level 6, and Level 7)

Angel Temptation: You can steer the angel to your way of thinking easier than most others, allowing you to guide her destiny and the world's - for better or worse. And maybe convince her not to Sacrifice your ass if you took that disadvantage.

20 free magik levels: What it says.

Elemental Immunity: You can pick one element except for Holy or Dark to be completely immune toward.

Mark Manipulation: You can influence others with a lower mark than yours to do what you want through subtle implications. Only someone with certain skills or this skill can defend against it.

Lost Souls: If a person has died and they had a mark, you can use this to allow their soul to inhabit your body for a time if the soul has not been destroyed as fossil fuel by the angel.

Disadvantages:

Lose 2 Cap Points to Strength, Stamina, and Speed: You will lose 2 cap points in these and they will go back down by 20 points.

Lose 2 Cap Points to Energy, Magik Offense and Defense: You will lose 2 cap points in these and they will go back down by 20 points.

No Magik Level Ups for 10 Levels: You will lose out on your next 10 magik level ups.

Disability: You will lose a random ability of the GM's choice - sight, hearing, taste, sexual taste. There's a list and he will randomly pick from it.

Puppet: You will become another player's puppet who has a mark that's within 1 level of yours (high or lower) randomly in a battle if the angel thinks they can do a better job with you than you are doing.

Bonus Option:

If you have Mark Mastery at the time of finishing Level 7, you get the bonus option of choosing two of the disabilities to take off the list which the GM randomly chooses.

 

Level 8

You managed to find a reason for Jean to allow you to raise to mark 7, then successfully convinced the next person inside her mind. Now you face an even greater challenge than before: reaching Level 8 requires a certain item due to the complexity, but even Jean doesn't know what the item is or where to find it. And once you find it, you still have to convince the person inside her mind to increase it as well as Jean to even allow you to talk to the person in her mind. Not easy challenges, but the rewards, oh so good.

Once the angel offers to increase her mark, you may accept the offer for more advantages and disadvantages. You must either pick four advantages and three disadvantages OR three advantages and two disadvantage OR two advantages and one disadvantage. OR if you have a certain skill you can get a bonus option.

Angelic Strength Cap: This will raise your Strength max of 100 to 150. You still have to put in the caps necessary to increase but they will be raised by 10 from now on instead of 5. (ask the GM for more details if confused. This is open only if you have picked Angelic Permenant Strength Increase.

Angelic Speed Cap: This will raise your Speed max of 100 to 150. You still have to put in the caps necessary to increase but they will be raised by 10 from now on instead of 5. (ask the GM for more details if confused. This is open only if you have picked Angelic Permenant Speed Increase.

Angelic Melee, Hand to Hand, and Ranged Weapons Increase: You will gain a permenant +30 to Melee, Hand to Hand, and Ranged Weapons if you have picked Permenantl Melee, Hand to Hand, and Ranged Weapons (Level 5, Level 6, and Level 7)

Elemental Immunity II: This lets you pick either Dark or Holy to be immune to but only if you picked Elemental Immunity in the level above.

Sensory Enhancement or Restoration: This lets you either enhance one of your senses (hearing, taste, sight, sexual libido, Mystifae Senses, Magic Senses, Touch sensation, Smell) or restore one you have lost during your journey.

Lost Souls II: If you have taken the previous version of this skill, you can use the lost soul as fossil fuel and burn it up to enhance all your stats temporarily based on what level they were when they died. If for example they were 75-99, all your stats would increase by 75, giving you the ability to have 175 if you have maxed stats. 100-149 would increase by 100.

Angelic Teleportation: You can teleport to the angel instantly if she ever gets separated from you.

Mark Manipulation II: You can control others who are the same level as you in the mark or lower and not only do more than subtle suggestions (via the GM) but out right begin to corrupt their minds to your way of thinking, unless they have this skill or certain others that protect.

God Tactics/Senses II: If you have both God Tactics and Senses from the main list of abilities, once you learn this skill all data on the gods you have faced before will gain more data, and you will gain data on all future gods except Gartareh, and you will learn all their special moves except Gartareh, defeated or not. So this means you don't have to stab ally gods to learn their moves.

Angel Temptation: You can steer the angel to your way of thinking easier than most others, allowing you to guide her destiny and the world's - for better or worse. And maybe convince her not to Sacrifice your ass if you took that disadvantage. (last chance)

Angel's Destiny: This is only open after you taken the Angel Temptation. You cannot take Angel's Destiny on the same mark level as Angel Temptation. This allows you to choose the future of the angel's body and who will rule it. Confused? Stay tuned!

Rapid MP Regen: Your magik rapidly regenerates once you activate this skill in the session. It's temporary each session but it will rapidly refill, especially fast if you already have high regenerative MP.

 

Disadvantages:

Lose 2 Cap Points to all stats: You will lose 2 cap points in these and they will go back down by 20 points.

No Magik Level Ups for 25 Levels: You will lose out on your next 20 magik level ups.

Disability: You will lose a random ability of the GM's choice - sight, hearing, taste, sexual taste. There's a list and he will randomly pick from it. (you cannot pick if you picked before)

Wayward Disability: You can choose to restore the Disability you lost in Mark 7, but you will lose this time: A) Three other senses of your choice or B) Two other senses of your choice and permenantly lose 40 points to your highest stat or C) One other sense of your choice and permenantly lose 60 points to your highest stat

Battle Disadvantage: Every time a battle occurs, the GM will flip a coin. If it lands on hands, you will randomly lose one of the following: all magik accesses, your best battle stat will decrease by half, you will lose a sense that your character relies most on in battle, you will lose all skills in your Advanced Class.

Roulette: The strangest disadvantage you will ever face. The GM will use a computer program to determine one of the following that happens to you. This will only occur once when you take it: your levels go back to 1 and you lose all points you ever gotten, you gain 100 levels, you lose all class levels even advanced, you gain 20 advanced class levels, 5 of your stats go to 1, 5 of your stats increase to 150, you die.

Bonus Option:

If you have Mark Mastery at the time of finishing Level 8, you get the bonus option of choosing one of the disabilities to take off the list which the GM randomly chooses.

 

Level 9

Saving Grace: If you receive enough damage to die, you can bring yourself back from the brink of death once every 10 sessions. You will be in great pain and need to heal yourself, but you will be alive.

Heroic Souls: Due to your link with Lorelei and Jean, you can bring forth one heroic soul from the past to battle next to you for a short time; they will be controlled by the player of the person you picked and will have half of the moves they had in life and half the level they currently have right now. If they are a NPC, mileage will vary. If you pick this, you cannot pick Demonic Souls.

Demonic Souls: Due to your link with Lorelei and Jean, you can bring forth one enemy soul from the past to battle next to you for a short time; they will be controlled by the player of the person you picked and will have half of the moves they had in life and half the level they currently have right now. If picked Heroic Souls, you cannot pick this.

Angel's Destiny: This is only open after you taken the Angel Temptation. This allows you to choose the future of the angel's body and who will rule it. Confused? Stay tuned!

Gear Form: You can form a basic gear with Jean/Lorelei for a short amount of time with you piloting her, allowing you to wreck havoic.

All Magik: You can cast all your magik, or all your attacks, at once. This will leave you vulnerable for a short time, but you can use all your moves at once. Also all your stats will be halved for a short time.

Mana Increase: +2000 mana

Disadvantages:

Battle Drain: Every battle you enter, three stats of yours will begin to drain until they hit 0. You need to end the battle quickly. The stats are picked by you, but they have to be stats that are ruled by battle, so they can't be charisma for example.

Copper Tongue: You are unable to lie to anyone. This makes it hard to trick people. This makes you a liability in all regards and enemies are drawn to questioning you.

Mana Drain: Your mana begins to drain the instant you enter battle; once it hits 0, it begins to drain the angel's mana, which effects the entire team.

You Save the Angel: If the Angel is mortally wounded, you are the first picked to heal her. Especially since you're liable to feel the painful wound anyway. The symbiotic relationship is what kept you two going.

Old Age: Everytime the angel is hurt, you age a few years. Eventually, you will turn to dust. It's in your best interest to keep the angel alive and well. Or find something to reverse aging. Or use the other peons in the group to heal her wounds instantly.

 

Final Level:

You can only pick one of the listings below. The advantage comes with the disadvantage, and so whatever advantage you pick, you pick the disdavantage with it.

Dragon Mech: You form the dragon mech with Jean/Lorelei. This is a very powerful living creature. If you did not pick the previous form, it takes a long time to transform into this. ----> Disadvantage: Your mana powers it and steadily drains at a quick rate.

Disadvantages No More: You heft all your disadvantages from Levels 1 - 9 onto another person who has the mark. ----> Disadvantage: You cannot pick someone you dislike. And you cannot pick a NPC. Also by doing this, you lose some trust with the Angel that you can never get back.

Magik Goddess: You are able to tap into the mana stream in Jean/Lorelei and use it for yourself at any time. This lets you access to all her mana but leaves her cut off from it. But you have an unlimited supply and can use all her spells exept the Dark Magik. ----> Disadvantage: Anytime you do this you take 3x more damage and your physical stats are halved. You also cut the team off from access to mana related magik that Jean/Lorelei provides.

Death Goddess: You can access the Dark Rune through Jean/Lorelei and cast instant death spells on mid-level to lower level enemies and absorb their souls. This makes you stronger over time. ----> Disadvantage: Unknown. What does eating souls of others do to you and Jean/Lorelei?

Pawns: Anyone that is a Lv. 7 or lower can be used by you to manuever, as well as their moves. You can move them around at your will. But you can only do one at a time. If they die, the feedback will be devastating to you and Jean/Lorelei. ----> Disadvantage: Their personality will begin to wear off on you and you will begin to take on their race disadvantages if you do it more than once.

Cockblock: You can stop Jean/Lorelei from ever marking anyone again that you don't like. ----> Disadvantage: This costs 40 normal levels to do but you only need to do it once per character

Spirit Bomb: You can bring forth energy from the land and gather it in a massive spiritual attack right on top of the enemy; the more life in an area, including people, the more powerful. It leaves the area...deadened. ----> Disadvantage: If you use it too much in a while it will drain your life. Use it sparingly over sessions.

Stat Arrangement: You can change your stats out for a session, swapping three stats with three others. Or one with one. But three is the limit. This allows you to suit your needs for a session. ------> Disadvantage: You gain more damage from an element chosen by the GM.

Physical Goddess: You can do more damage with all your physical attacks by three times. ----> Disadvantage: You lose an element completely to use in any form and 1000 mana.

Advances R Us: Gain all the advantages from 1-9. -----> Disadvantage: All your stats are permantantly halved after the Advances bonuses, you are locked out of Holy and Dark magik despite above Advantages, and you will gain exp slower.

Reality Powers: You can change reality to your will, making the world you see fit. ----> Disadvantage: Depending on what you do or change, you can kill the Angel. Each time you do this, you will weaken her at the very least, so make your changes count, as you bring her closer to the brink. (Note: Somethings can't be changed. These will not be counted against you. Story and all)

I Just Want To Love You: You force the Angel to love you. ----> Disadvantage: I have no words for you.

Desires: Your inner most desires come forth. ----> Disadvantage: The Angel works to make what you want a reality. Does she have her own desires outside yours?
