Kaori is an irregularity; by all means, she should not exist in this reality, but she was born into it due to her existence in other realities, where she was the child of Miyuki and Kasha. In this reality, however, Kaori was the agent of Centerpoint: the eyes through which it viewed the world. Due to her strong ties to Centerpoint, Kaori herself also contains residual Reality Power, although most of it is spent.
Kaori first appeared during a peace parade, during which time she met Yuki and became a part of Yuki's family. Their mutual love of video games made them quick friends, and in time, she joined Yuki's Strikers, although she did not go through to the mirror dimension with her. Instead, she stayed behind, even becoming a leader of her generation's unit.
Over time, Kaori's strange behaviors gave way to the inner her: Scared, afraid of being alone, afraid of what she didn't know. These fears were mended by her girlfriend, Hess, who gave her more to think about in life, and centered her. Their relationship has grown slowly over time, letting Kaori relax in the calm moments. Eventually, Kaori didn't even worry much about her missing past anymore.
Still, this reprieve was not to last. In the times leading up to the battle of Yggdrasil, Kaori was alone, and lost much of her hope. Having discovered the truth behind herself made her feel less sure than ever, as if she didn't know anything at all. At this time, she cast her love for games aside.
Growing closer to her mother Kasha has allowed her to feel less out-of-place once more, and she only wished that she could do the same with her other mother, Miyuki. When things were at their most dangerous, Kasha passed the power of Inari onto Kaori, making Kaori the new Mother of All Foxes.
Kaori has been through a lot, but she is finally regaining her bright charm, and her love for video games has returned in full force. She only wishes her one missing mother, "Cennie", could see her now.
