Background History


Alita was born to comfort, within the reach of books and a mother who balanced her trade with her passions. She grew up knowing very little of the outside world from the Dark Lands, but when the possibility of going to the Academy came under her nose, she sprang on it in an instant. Consequently the books on world history and geography were ravaged off the nearest shelves. A Lilin, Alita has had no misgivings about her true nature, however she balances it with a thirst and hunger for knowledge that possibly outweighs the natural inclinations of her species.

Coming to the Academy she works hard in all her classes to learn what she could. She showed a delightful inclination for healing, something she found worked well with years of learning a softer touch from her mother. She was often in her own world, some said even when she was having her lusts sated by a fellow student, her face would be pressed into a book. As she and her sister progressed at the academy, she found a second family with her Tamae, the healers liking her seemingly passive nature mixed with a passionate desire to learn how to improve the one thing she was really good at: mending the wounded.

This mix of dedication towards a goal that pleased and a soft yet severe ambition to always improve helped her advance quickly in her studies and with her group. She avoided offending many as a beautiful girl who didn't seem to really care for the politics, while at the same time she never made any real close friendships. She has on occasion unintentionally snubbed another in competition she didn't even know she was aware of, her single minded desire to become better and better has led to these estrangements, but Alita has mostly remained ignorant of them. For now.
