Step 9: Character Creation - The Wrap Up

Step 9, you will create your bio. Below are the final bits of information you will need to know in order to do so. Let me go over the final bits of information left.

Leveling Up:

Each Class when they level up will get a different bonus - some get Stat Points, some Get Mods Points. I will have made a chart which Class gets what for Level 1, Level 2, Level 3.

Basically, each time you level up, you will level up one of these things:

1) You will gain a Stat Point to give to Stats

2) A Mod Point to spend on Mods

3) You will get a Mod Capacity Point to increase Mod Capacity to get more Mods.

4) You will get an Attack Move Point to make another Attack or Special Move

5) You will get a Action Point to increase your Action Points

6) You will get a Limit Break Slot Point to increase your Limit Break slots

Eventually, each of these things will reach their limit and you will no longer get points in each category. This is so no one can min-max everything and master it all.

The Bio:

As far as your bio goes, you will have to include the following information, and if you do not, you cannot RP. All of this, of course, pertains to your character.

Name, Age, DOB (at least to the GM)

Hair Color and Length

Eye Color

Height, Weight

Cup Size if Woman

Build

Race

Moral Center

Element Core

Your Beliefs and Your Goals (aka, what do you believe in - just one or two sentence and what is your goals in this RPG, what does your character hope to accomplish - again one or two sentences)

Relatives, if you have any (any hidden ones tell the GM)

Enemies/Threats/Key Character Flags (you will think on something your character has to accomplish, has after them, wants to find. That way I can take over it and incorporate it into the story)

History (You WILL fill this out to a good detail. If you have a hidden history as WELL, you will submit it to the GM and he will keep it on file. But you will have a public history in addition)


Hidden Bio Note:

As stated above a little, there is the public bio, and then there is the hidden bio. Supposing you choose to give me data that you do not want seen.

I encourage this greatly, especially on the Tech-Noir team. The hidden bio basically consists of a few things:

1) Hhidden objectives - such as things that might run contrary to the team's goals, or even if you are after certain team members or things.

2) Hidden History - though you need to write up both a real public history that isn't lies, you can leave out information, the hidden history is what is the truth for the GM.

3) Hidden Agendas - agendas you are out to accomplish, enemies and so on. If you are an enemy character in disguise, this is where you will tell me. If you are a Tamae spy on the student team, or if you are a Corporate goon on the Cypher Tech team, this is where you will reveal in the hidden bio.

4) Spirit Name - This is a must.


Keep in mind that after you do your bio below, you can raise your non * stats to 9 with your first Level up to 2. For many of you, since the RPG is already in motion, you will be raised up a bit to match other players' characters so that means you can likely hit 9 with your stats at this point. So take advantage of coming in late!

Now you need to pick your stats. Below I have all the stats listed on the default 4 position. It will give you a general idea of how many there are; to remember what they all do, go back to Step 1 so you can review what each stat is and does. To increase a stat, you must lower another stat somewhere else. So for example, to get Strength from 4 to 7, which would take 3 spaces, you would need to move say Health from 4 to 1.

Good luck and pick which stats you want the most, and best suit you. If you want a class, you will need to get the stats to the points you want the most. Remember Willpower / Intelligence conflict with each other. Only one or two classes allow such, such as Steam-Punk.
