<DeathStar> 6* The day opens up like any other, a beautiful blue day. A week has passed since Yuki's group has entered their capsules in the station orbitting the planet. All is well. When an explosion goes off in one of the bank buildings in the city, near the PAX Museum/Office that is in the city, tearing the bank apart.
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl, who is in her office, peers at her HoloVid as reporters begin to get on the scene as it happens, and regular police arrive
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> A bank robbery, at this point in time, really?
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl idily contacts gets up to go to the scene, bored
<DeathStar> 6* and
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> *on her comm* I'm leaving the office. *She notes to her kids, including Miyuki* I'm going down to the explosion two blocks away
<Seraphna> * Si, in her costume, shows up, the equivalent of a skin tight biker suit and helmet with mask, she waits to see how she can assist the police, one of those better superheroines that's always being helpful instead of rogue.
<kalonZombie> 6*Shu would also head that way on her own because it would be funny... and she's Si's sidekick.
<Chain> <Miyuki> Mom, you should get away from there
<kalonZombie> 6*She is naked except for an identity concealing mask
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> I have a ton of bodyguards, I'll be fine. *She pulls on a trench coat and pulls it up so the public doesn't recognize her*
<Seraphna> * Si had to work hard to get that much.
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei meanwhile monitors the police channels, since this isn't a military matter
<kalonZombie> <Si> So, molesting vines when they make a break for it?
<Chain> <Miyuki> bodyguards dont have good track records against fissures in the earth, voids, dimentional rips or blackholes
<DeathStar> 6* Ben, hands in pockets, arrives on the scene, wearing shades, when Darien arrives on a motorcycle, getting off, having a graying beard these days, his hair graying on the sides. The police are barricading the sides of the destroyed building. It looks as if the entire bank ahs been brought down

<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Aw, you're so sweet, but I'm bored. The tax bill is making my eyes cross. *She steps up and peers over the destruction. The police are asking witnesses what they saw*
<kalonZombie> 6*Shu uses her witchy vines to start moving rubble around
<Seraphna> * Si surveys things, looking for robbers, and starting to wonder if it wasn't a robbery at all. "Usually we're fighting criminals about now."
<DeathStar> 6* The police eye the vines and draw their weapons on Shu
<Chain> 6*Miyuki grumbles as she heads over, latest litter still inbetween her breasts
<DeathStar> <Darien> *Waves them off of Shu*
<kalonZombie> <Shu> Look, do you want my help finding survivors or not?
<kalonZombie> <Shu> Because I can just as easily not.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Ignore. Were any demands made? <OFficer> No. A silent alarm wasn't even triggered
<Seraphna> * Si touches the top of her mask in patience.
<DeathStar> 6* The police lower their weapons, eyeing Shu with a look and go back to trying to gather information
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl peers as Miyuki arrives, then at the destruction. "It doesn't look like anyone was trying to get out. So far witnesses are saying no one left. The explosion just happened."
<kalonZombie> 6*Shu keeps moving rubble around to try and find survivors. She's naked... but the mask she's wearing gives an illusion to everyone who isn't trained to not see it an illusion of clothes
<Chain> 6*Miyuki huffs
<DeathStar> 6* Soon dead bodies are beginning to be uncovered, all the employees who worked in the bank. Many of them bound up still in heavy duty restraints
<kalonZombie> 6*Shu hmms, bringing a body close
<Seraphna> Si> "Th-They were restrained... so this was no accident..."

<DeathStar> <Darien> Normally the camera and security on site would have been destroyed along with the building, but I partially owned the bank. So feed was sent to me
<DeathStar> <Darien> I am going back to my place to review it
<Sathen> 6* Rea watches quietly from a corner, having followed silently behind Cheryl's entourage; he's standing a bit off so as to not attract attention or disrupt privacy *
<kalonZombie> <Shu> TO be fair it would be faster to ask this guy. 6*She points to the dead body she moved closer to her
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl nods, while the police eye Shu as they get crews out to try to shift through the rubble
<Seraphna> * Si hops over to Darien. "I see... mind if we view it Mister Darien... err... citizen?"
<Chain> <Miyuki> lets avoid that for a bit and go to Moneybags house
<kalonZombie> <Shu> None of you are any fun. Except my sidekick here.

<kalonZombie> 6*She puts the body back respectfully where she found it

<kalonZombie> <Shu> Mom, you're blowing the whole secret identity thing

<Chain> 6*Miyuki drags Darien and Cheryl
<Chain> <Miyuki> come on lets go
<kalonZombie> <Shu> Nobody outside the family can see it! Yeesh!
<DeathStar> <Darien> I have a bike, it's faster
<kalonZombie> 6*She follows Si
<DeathStar> 6* Darien gets on and motions the others to get on as he pushes a button and makes a side seat
<Chain> 6*Miyuki goes into fox muffler form and coils aroun Cheryl's neck
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl gets on the back, wrapping her arms around him. A few people blink and point
<Seraphna> * Si hops in.
<DeathStar> <Crowd> IS that the president?
<DeathStar> 6* Darien revs and spins the back in a circle and speeds off
<Seraphna> Si> "WHoooo!"
<Chain> 6*Miyuki's litter mews and fuus
<DeathStar> 6* He drives along the back roads to his secondary place in PAX City and parks the bike behind the gate, getting off and pressing his palm against the scanner
<Sathen> 6* Rea turns and starts moving to take a walk, seeing as he isn't likely to get a ride...scanning over some of the crowd and the nearby buildings*
<kalonZombie> <Shu> It still would have been faster to ask the dead guy!
<DeathStar> <Darien> And get drilled by the police
<kalonZombie> <Shu> I would have done it in private. I'm not an idiot.
<Kemonohime> <Kiichigo> Says the one playing with a dead person in front of the police...
<Seraphna> Si> "Remember we have to follow the law sidekick, for that's what we enforce!"
<kalonZombie> <Shu> Please, that wasn't playing.
<Kemonohime> * Kiichigo leers at Shu from the opposite side of Miyuki and Cheryl, appearing not unlike the cheshire cat; albeit with dark rings under her eyes.
<kalonZombie> <Shu> I was bringing it closer for inspection.
<kalonZombie> 6*Shu doesn't seem to be scared of the leering at all, considering who she lives with and is dating
<DeathStar> 6* Darien walks into his parlor in his house then opens a panel by tilting a vase. Cheryl follows into a room full of monitors
<DeathStar> 6* Darien sits at his console and plays with one monitor, rewinding data at the bank.
<Kemonohime> * Kiichigo yawns, leering being more to make fun of than intimidation, after all.
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl leans against the wall, playing with a kitten
<Chain> 6*Miyuki reforms and takes inventory of her litter as she follows
<Chain> <Miyuki> one two....three four....
<Kemonohime> <Kiichigo> Okaasama, have you gone back to being a... erm... gumshoe?
<kalonZombie> 6*Shu walks along
<Chain> <Miyuki> wheres the bun
<Chain> 6*the lone bun pops up in Cheryl's chest
<DeathStar> 6* Darien hits play and it shows the bank open for business when 10 men walk in with coats, moving throughout the bank, then revealing high tech weaponry that got past the bank's security and taking control of the bank rapidly before anyone can hit the alarm
<Chain> <Miyuki> ah there she is
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Oh my
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl leans back, unable to see their faces due to data scramblers.
<DeathStar> <Darien> This is some high tech hardware for bank robbers
<Seraphna> Si> "Though... did they take anything or just blow the place?"
<kalonZombie> <Shu> Did they even take anythign?
<DeathStar> 6* The bank robbers blast out cameras as they tie up the people in the bank, missing Darien's camera for the time being, then begin to plant explosives
<kalonZombie> <Shu> ...Jinx, you owe me a coke.
<DeathStar> 6* A good number of them move into the back, pulling out what looks like a high tech machine and begin to set it up in the back
<DeathStar> 6* Darien begins to zoom in when a bank robber blows his camera
<kalonZombie> <Shu> Their tech is way too advanced for ordinary robbers.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien tchs, then rewinds and tries zooming in before they shoot, eyeing the device
<Chain> <Miyuki> anything else beside money in there
<Seraphna> Si> "Seem more like terrorists than anything to me."
<DeathStar> <Darien> Cheryl, I think this is more in line for the old black ops we used to do in the old days. <Cheryl> You're talking about the old days when we had a special unit
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> What is that, Darien. <Darien> If I had to guess, a drillnig machine
<kalonZombie> <Shu> So we've hit a dead end with the camera. It's not too late for me to go play 20 questions with the stiffs.
<Chain> <Miyuki> then they were either drilling into a vault or out of the building
<DeathStar> <Darien> Likely the hostages were not in view of the drilling machine
<Seraphna> * Si fuus. "I agree with Miyu... drilling somewhere, but if I had to guess the bank is just a distraction and they're headed somewhere else. Hence never coming out."
<DeathStar> <Darien> I agree. 6* He seems to have an idea where, and tries to bring up the city schematics on the city computers, but as he does, his system begins to get infected with a virus. He jerks and tries to stop it, watching the virus invade his systems. He jerks and grabs the computer's plug and yanks it
<DeathStar> <Darien> ... someone's infected the PAX City public computers
<Chain> 6*Miyuki picks up her datapad
<Chain> <Miyuki> let me get Gor on that
<kalonZombie> <Shu> ...Mom...
<DeathStar> <Darien> Gor's gone, Miyu
<kalonZombie> <Shu> Gor's gone, remember?
<Chain> 6*Miyuki blinks and pauses
<Chain> <Miyuki> oh....right....
<kalonZombie> <Shu> Still though, we have Ash.
<Seraphna> * Si seems to wilt a bit at that, looking down, having gained Gor's downsides in the bonding.
<Chain> 6*she blinks a little before changing the call
<kalonZombie> <Shu> He's like a second rate Gor.
<Chain> <Miyuki> sorry, just reflex
<kalonZombie> <Ash> Yeeeeeello?
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> While you two do that, I am going to use my presidental abilities to gather the best minds for a special unit. 6* She turns and gras her comms, contacting Lorelei
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> We need to catch these guys
<Kemonohime> * Dawn enjoys his retirement with Aya
<Chain> <Miyuki> Ash, someones playing with the PAX City network
<Chain> <Miyuki> need you to get in there and see whats up
<Kemonohime> * Kiichigo pats Si.
<Seraphna> * Angela is in 'retirement', but always answers her sister's calls. Tabetha needs a hobby.
<Kemonohime> <Kiichigo> Don't worry about it, mini-bun. They oft overlook what's right in front of them.

<kalonZombie> 6*Ash moves to do just that
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> Alright everyone, lets go for now
<DeathStar> -TIME JUMP-
<DeathStar> 6* A few hours later, a roll call is put out through unoffical channels to parents and kids with military training or abilities about a group that is being formed. Lorelei is there in uniform. With Hale running the offical military unit, and now having Lorelei's old members, Lorelei stands with Cheryl, Darien, Miyuki, etc from earlier to those who show up to the call to see who will be brought into the unit
<DeathStar> 6* Taiga leans back in a seat, curious about this, perhaps because of Kitty being gone lately, as well as Fioana, now 20 these days, looking like a mix of both parents
<kalonZombie> 6*Ash would be there if he's done looking at PAX City computer stuff. Mal is there. Shu arrives, as well as Jason the quarter Dark One. Robb is too old for this shit but shows up anyway.
<DeathStar> 6* Lumi is there from the Umi kids
<Seraphna> * Peter attends, interested in seeing how this is going to go, while Michelle shows up with interest to join. Tabetha shows up as does Angela to see what needs doing. Si and Cheria are present as is CL Zhenmei-Carmichael, grown up, she looks like a cross between Jennifer and Athena.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> *is there to help organize, but insisting she is still retired*
<Chain> 6*one of the older Nue kids arrives, sleek light armor whith a number of airbrushed insignias and numbers but a bold E.G.S.F on the right breast of the chest peice
<Jackieness> 6* A mysterious figure in a trenchcoat and fedora sneaks in and hangs out at the back of the room...
<Sathen> 6* Rea is standing quietly in a corner, how he has gotten wind of this meeting / call to arms is beyond anybody's guess*
<Kemonohime> * Younger Elwyn blinks shyly at the room, a sort of underground idol/rapper.
<Chain> <Miyuki> looks like we all brought something to this little militia potluck
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis relaxes in the back, reading things
<DeathStar> <Darien> Seems we are indeed full
<kalonZombie> 6*Shu leans back in her chair, naked as always. Jason sits creepily still.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "I dug up some of the old team action charts to help organize this."
<Kemonohime> * A short, wily-haired redhead stands there with an obstinant look, her knuckles wrapped like a streetfighter and wearing an unzipped jacket and a headband. Her hair seems a bit magenta, but pink at the ends.
<Kemonohime> * Her eyes, one red, one blue, seem to glower slightly as she studies the others in the room.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Let me begin with what we have. *He takes Ash's files*
<DeathStar> <Darien> We have what appears to be a bank robbery, but the holovid files shows the bank robbers were actually digging into the bank. The city schematics pretty obviously shows that the bank is one of the closest buildings to .. *He brings them up*
<DeathStar> 6* The bank is two blocks from the PAX Museum
<kalonZombie> <Shu> Okay. What's in there?
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis frowns
<DeathStar> 6* Darien raises his eyebrow at that
<Sathen> 6*Rea returns the silent glower and study from the redhead streetfighter before returning his attention to the briefing*
<DeathStar> <Darien> The PAX crashed 20 years ago into the Earth, and "PAX CIty" rose up around it since it became the capital of the Suisen Empire for a time. Naturally, they got the PAX back up into space but a mile chunk was left behind, too damaged to fly
<DeathStar> <Darien> That became the PAX Museum/Hub, where many offices are left, and homes, as well as major teleporters through the Suisen Empire and up to the ship proper
<Kemonohime> <Redhead> A perfect escape?
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Or someone needed a teleporter."
<DeathStar> <Darien> *He shows the city schematics of the piping under the ship* The perfect takeover, if they drill up into the underbelly and get to those teleporters
<DeathStar> <Darien> Toss a few bombs into the teleporters
<DeathStar> <Erevis> Then I must shut them down
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Anything else still stored in there?"
<Kemonohime> <Redhead> Too late for that, isn't it?
<Chain> <Miyuki> no since I'm sure PAX would get curious at unscheduled non organic matter being sent up
<Kemonohime> <Redhead> They were advanced enough to do this under everyone's noses, who's to say they didn't prepare for that
<Chain> <Miyuki> and you dont get to be an empire or last long if you dont have a few fail safes
<DeathStar> <Darien> It's possible they could override it
<Kemonohime> <Redhead> There's a simpler way
<Sathen> Rea> "Unless they're prepared to martyr themselves by going up with the explosives."
<DeathStar> <Darien> But lets hope a total shut down stops them
<Kemonohime> <Redhead> Much less suspicious also. Amend the logs to include something /expected/.
<DeathStar> 6* Erevis rises. "Then with my old Empress authority I will get on that."
<Chain> <Miyuki> you should take some help with you Momma Erevis
<DeathStar> <Darien> I think some people should go with Erevis, until we get these guys, and keep the system off. The rest of us need to go into the sewers and get these guys
<Chain> <Isa> I'll escort the former empress
<kalonZombie> <Ash> I'll go too.
<Kemonohime> * The redhead sort of fidgets, like she was going to volunteer for the former, but then seems indecisive when the latter is presented
<DeathStar> <Cheryl> I will stay with her. Being the president, I probably should not go running around. *She looks sad*
<kalonZombie> <Shu> Sewer time I guess.
<kalonZombie> <Robb> I'll go with the empress.
<Kemonohime> <Fiona> If Ashe is going there's little reason for another tech savant to... might as well divide resources.

<Seraphna> Michelle> "I'm better suited to something that needs a range."
<Chain> <Miyuki> I'll protect you momma
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl sniffles into Miyu's arms
<Kemonohime> <Fiona> ... Th-Though I'd rather not go down there." She rubs her hands-- a sign of her mother/grandfather's habits showing.
<Sathen> 6* Rea glances to Erevis, but doesn't move from his place against the wall watching the rest*

<DeathStar> 6* Taiga joins Erevis and Erevis leads the group for the PAX
<DeathStar> -SCENE SHIFT-
<DeathStar> 6* As the PAX group leaves, Darien takes stock of who is left. Lorelei peers around with him
<Chain> 6*Miyuki's tails shift as her kittens and bun try to comfort Cheryl
<Kemonohime> * The redhead bounces from foot to foot anxiously, her two-colored eyes glowing slightly like a certain pair of twins. She looks a little clean and fluffy to be a streetrat as her attire would say, the ensemble pieces of a military academy's uniform.
<DeathStar> <Darien> Okay, follow me and Lorelei
<Kemonohime> * Young Elwyn seems to have accompanied the group leaving; Fiona stands at the ready, typing away on a datapad.
<kalonZombie> 6*Ash and Shu walks along
<DeathStar> 6* He moves over to a man hole and pulls out a giant shotgun. A figure seems to be following in the shadows and Lumi trots along
<Sathen> 6*Rea follows along after them, silently appraising those he's about to fight with most likely*
<Kemonohime> * Fiona makes a disdainful expression and curls her lip at the thought of going down somewhere filthy. The redhead follows in step, though constantly re-evaluating her surroundings, thus likely scanning those that might be following in shadows
<Chain> 6*Miyuki waves as they go, petting Cheryl
<DeathStar> 6* Cheryl thumbs up as she heads to the PAX
<Kemonohime> * Fiona looks at Miyuki longingly-- she's clean.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien leaps down and lands in a clean sewer
<Chain> 6*Miyuki follows Cheryl
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei lands behind him and Lumi lands and sniffs the air like a dog, tail wagging
<Sathen> 6* Rea follows after Darien, moving to the side immediately
<DeathStar> 6* Darien walks forward with his gun
<kalonZombie> 6*Mal hops down and Shu gracefully descends on vines wearing nothing but boots
<Jackieness> <Fedora> *disappears and then reappears in the sewer*
<kalonZombie> 6*Robb and Ash follow Cheryl
<DeathStar> 6* The shadowed figure leaps down
<DeathStar> 6* Darien moves forward, pulling out a datapad that makes the ALiens tracker sound
<DeathStar> <Darien> If they are going for the PAX Museum, they will be this way
<Sathen> 6* Rea follows Darien's lead, a few paces behind and shadowing the opposite wall of the sewer*
<Kemonohime> * Fiona drops down, but uses a particular talent to slow her descent and starts to walk on water, so to speak, or at least on air a few inches above any liquid or filth, breathing slowly
<Kemonohime> * She squeals when the redhead drops nonchalantly and splashes her slightly, causing her to pull out a hankerchief and scrub
<DeathStar> 6* Darien treks along the clean sewers, passing the purifiers that make a lot of sounds
<kalonZombie> 6*Shu and Mal walk along
<DeathStar> 6* Peering at Fioana oddly; as he turns, a large plasma blaster is aimed at the back of his head
<DeathStar> 6* Lumi barks in warning
<DeathStar> 3

<Sathen> 6* Rea slips around and kicks the weapon
<DeathStar> 6* The weapon is kicked upward as it discharges and blasts the ceiling, causing it to explode and send pieces of it down on Rea and Darien, who tackles Rea to the side to avoid damage
<DeathStar> 6* The figure rushes around the corner
<kalonZombie> 6*Shu sends vines at the figure's feet to wrap him up
<kalonZombie> 6*Mal speeds to save Darien
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei blasts forward in energy and tries to rush the figure when she trips a trip wire, and a plasma grenade flies at her. She grabs it in surprise
<DeathStar> 6* Lorelei then spins and throws it away
<DeathStar> 6* The vines miss the figure by inches and then the grenade goes off, blowing more chunks of the wall, spraying the group.
<DeathStar> 6* Darien sits up, making a face
<Sathen> 6* Rea nods to Darien and moves to get back up, looking towards the assailant and offering a hand to his elder.
<kalonZombie> 6*Shu rabbit hops after the figure, using vines to slap rubble away as she chases
<kalonZombie> 6*Trying to wrap the figure up
<DeathStar> 6* Lumi barks and chases, while the shadowed figure follows along. Shu rabbit hops along, right up to a doorway
<DeathStar> 6* Darien moves along with his gun and Lorelei tracks after
<Jackieness> 6* The Fedora'd One pulls out a device and starts scanning for additional threats as they resume moving.
<Sathen> 6* Rea follows after Darien, a blaster of his own in hand now as he keeps an eye out for other traps.
<kalonZombie> 6*Shu prepares a seal (dont ask where she was storing it) and slaps it on the door, letting her see through it a bit
<DeathStar> 6* The scanners seems to be getting confused on the other side of the door - there's a lot of equipment going on
<DeathStar> 6* Shu sees partially waste pouring through large machines turning into pure water, and figures moving at times.
<Jackieness> <Fedora> *bangs on the scanner a bit*

<kalonZombie> 6*She sends some vines sneakily through the water in stealth mode to try and string a figure up like Batman on a gargoyle

<kalonZombie> 6*The vines going under the crack at the bottom of the door
<DeathStar> 6* As the vines go up the crack the bottom of the door, an explosive is trigger and the door is blown off the hinges and slams into Shu, then Darien who was behind her approaching, the force powerful enough to slam them back and rolling
<kalonZombie> <Shu> FUCKING DAMMIT

<Kemonohime> * The redhead moves forward and as she does forms gauntlets over her hands as well as a few peculiar floating mechanical objects that slowly swirl around her, holding her palms forward and attempts to form a barrier to blow, the 'options' swirling behind the formed barrier to shield others

<DeathStar> 6* Mal's weapon carves into the armor, chipping away. The armored person steps back and reaims at him, firing, while Lorelei blasts in like an energy angel and tries to balst at the weapons. Darien crawls to his feet as the shadow person comes in and slashes at Lorelei's attacker's weapon, blowing it up and knocking him, them, and Lorelei back

<Kemonohime> * Fiona jerks, stumbling a bit from all the explosions, glad for the redhead's as she pulls out a few knives, letting them float near her a moment, then uses her hands to direct them like instruments, sending them narrowly around friendlies and in at the armored ones

<kalonZombie> 6*Shu makes a face and goes all out on one last attack, a giant vine as thick as a tree trunk forming a giant fist and slamming down on top of one of them

<DeathStar> 6* The tree trunk hits the armor, cracking it but only slowing the alien as they lose their weapon

<DeathStar> 6* Isa manages to shoot the third one that Shu is blasting away and takes him out as Shu smashes on their armored head
<kalonZombie> 6*Mal grunts in pain, throwing his sword at the last one's face
<DeathStar> 6* The last armored one is kicked by Rea and aims at his head to finish him as the readhead hits them, then Mal then swords them and they fall back
