<Luci> * Angela gets up and follows, Jennifer, Angelos, Si, Michelle, Tabetha, Angel, An'Mi, and Reese filing. In. Sera sometimes regrets so many characters during group meetings.

<Sathen> *Rea turns his datapad back over, scrolling through to the autopsy notes again; Ori sits quietly next to Miyuki*

<DeathStar> <Warren> *nods, picking up Zephyr's report and Vodka's autopsy and notes she's sent in overtime* Let's, as a group, try to look at it with fresh eyes one more time
<DeathStar> <Warren> Before we put the case up and move on - waiting to see if the killer strikes again.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren puts on glasses.
<Luci> * Angela shakes a little but doesn't look up. Tabetha rubs her head.
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "Again? Wasn't the working theory that someone had it out for Darien specifically?"
<DeathStar> <Warren> I never believe in such things
<DeathStar> 6* Warren peers up
<DeathStar> 6* Warren glances back down
<Sathen> *Orihime squeems slightly* Just no slideshow of the autopsy please.
<Chain> <Miyuki> I must confess it seemed like it was quite specific, but its best to not rule out more targets
<Chain> <Miyuki> either outcome except for capture is not an option for us
<Luci> Angelos> "Seemed they had a goal beyond his death to me. We know there's players out there with agendas."
<DeathStar> <Warren> Darien was sitting in his chair when he was killed, and was then dragged out to the garden. Now, even if he knew his killer, it was unlikely he just accepted being killed, even with all the killer did to him
<DeathStar> <Warren> Zephyr and Vodka noted, besides the eye gorging and all the damage done to the chest, slight bruising to the shoulder only, on the top
<Chain> <Hess> he might either have not had time to react, or was incompasitated already
<Sathen> Rea> Or he knew the person who attacked him and wasn't expecting it.

<DeathStar> 6* Warren examines the evidence on the shoulder, bringing the image up on the corpse
<DeathStar> <Warren> Yes. Yes it was.
<Sara> <Kaori> It's true that sometimes someone can be killed before they can even see the killer
<Chain> <Miyuki>tox screens came back negative?
<Luci> * Angela watches this time, gripping her chair.
<DeathStar> <Warren> But the question is how he was.

<DeathStar> <Warren> How a killer incapacitates a person speaks volumes. And nothing in the tox screen
<Sathen> *Ori looks away from the screen, squeemish*
<Chain> 6*Hess clicks her tongue, seeminly annoyed at Ori
<DeathStar> 6* Warren pulls out his gun, clicking his tongue. "Can I have a volunteer?"
<Chain> <Hess> why doesnt the fox just use her juju and ask him
<Sathen> *Rea stands* Sure, why not.
<Luci> * Jennifer raises a brow.
<DeathStar> 6* Warren aims and shoots Rea in the shoulder, knocking him on his ass. "Thank you." 6* No blood gushes out or anything from the shot

<DeathStar> <Warren> Stun shot
<Jackieness> <Josephine> *walks and leans over to examine Rea, specifically the bruise pattern*
<Sathen> *Rea grunts in pain and rubs his shoulder* Atleast it was on low stun...
<Luci> * Jennifer looks it over with a doctor's eye.
<Luci> Jennifer> "THere there, I'll fix it up in a bit."
<DeathStar> 6* There's a bruise pattern, but a lot more so than what was on Darien's corpse. It seems, if it was a stun blast, it was diffused a bit
<DeathStar> <Warren> I use a modified gun, always had, to knock people harder than most guns. Stun shots usually don't leave anything
<Sathen> Rea> Just a bruise...had them before, will have them again. *returns to his seat*
<Chain> <Iku> ....did Darien have a pillow or anything that could have muffled it?
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "Not as large a bruise as the one on Darien."
<DeathStar> <Warren> It's quite possible, but if he was sitting facing away from his attacker, he probably wasn't expecting anything
<DeathStar> <Warren> Plus it's on top of his shoulder
<DeathStar> <Warren> You'd think it would be the back of it
<Luci> Angelos> "Or they used a means of energy output that simply replicated a stun blast."
<Sathen> Rea> Something to muffle the shot like that would have the unintended result of diffusing the stun blast's energy

<DeathStar> <Warren> *clicks tongue, jotting down diagrams as they talk*
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "Any marks on the chair?"
<Sathen> *Orihime just watches everyone else and keeping track of the conversation*
<Luci> Reese> "Umm... curious but did his office have any windows?"
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> No, no marks on anything in the place
<Luci> Reese> "Just... if a window was open it might not leave a mark."
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> *she grabs her pictures of the place* No, Darien was quite paranoid. The person who did it managed to bring down his daughter's entire system of the place
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> So we're dealing with a smart person
<Luci> * Reese nods. "So much for that..."
<Luci> Angelos> "Might be onto something though, why have we assumed a single person was involved?"
<DeathStar> <Warren> Moving on right now, and using detective work before we use any devilry, lets look at other evidence.
<DeathStar> <Warren> Point
<DeathStar> 6* Warren looks up from a drawing he's made
<Sathen> Rea> Would their system be able to determine if it was just disabled or brought down through a localized EMP effect?
<DeathStar> <Warren> Point. I'll ask in a bit. Darien was found between a few plants. Vodka identified them for us
<DeathStar> <Warren> They were Star Gazer, Narcisuss, and he had Ginger on him.
<DeathStar> <Warren> Apparantly Darien grew a ton of plants, but the killer dumped those on him

<DeathStar> <Warren> She said there was too much to guess about them in particular, and she drew up all sorts of data on them. Like one grows in winter, one grows in summer, one grows in both. *he nods at Miyuki* There's also lots of meanings. We could drive ourselves nuts trying to figure them out
<DeathStar> <Warren> Finally, inside the cuts, there was the substance Vodka found. Serotinin.
<Sathen> Rea> Which cuts or did they all have it in them?
<Luci> Jennifer> "Antidepressants as well as psychadelic uses."
<Chain> <Miyuki> so our killer suffers from depression?

<Sathen> Rea> It's also naturally created in the body.
<Luci> Jennifer> "Yeah, or he really likes to trip out."

<Chain> <Miyuki> it be one thing if the place was ransaked and the place was a stye

<Chain> <Hess> its actually used for other things aside fro depressants
<Sathen> Rea> It's used as an anti-depressent as well as to trigger euphoria or feelings of well-being.

<Sara> * Kaori eyes Hess, then nods
<Chain> <Hess> its also used for treating nausea caused by chemo drugs
<Jackieness> <Reikana> "Wow, people are here seem to know alot about drugs."
<DeathStar> <Ako> Well, I've seen the twins take a few things

<Chain> <Hess> I only know that much cause...well grandpa held onto some meds that were for Nana Kitty when she was getting to the end....he didnt have the heart to throw them away

<Sathen> Rea> Research only. Large enough dose and the person would be euphoric to the point of ignoring anything done to them, regardless of the pain.

<DeathStar> <Warren> Well, my theory is that someone richoetted a stun shot off Darien's ceiling, and stunned him. We'd have to check his ceiling, see if there's any proof
<Luci> * Reese raises a brow and exchanges a look with Michelle.
<DeathStar> <Warren> That likely diffussed the force of the blast
<Luci> Reese> "Who... could make a shot like that?"
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "To pull off somethign like that, they would have tp be a trick shot."
<Chain> <Iku>...out of those three words, I'd say that Mr.Star was closest to Ambition
<DeathStar> 6* Warren nods to Cassandra
<DeathStar> <Warren> Few people can, yes.
<Luci> Angela> "Chad could have, but he's been dead for quite some time."
<DeathStar> <Warren> Yes. He's been dead...
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "...technically.... I could... but I was here."
<Luci> Angela> "It was his Weapom ability."
<DeathStar> 6* Warren sounds dubious, checking the paperwork.
<Luci> Angela> "Though in reality it was altering probability on an almost... well, reality altering level. He just never knew how to control it to that extent... I think, anyway."

<kalonZombee> <Hale> I technically wasn't but I think I was legally declared dead for a few years.
<kalonZombee> <Hale> Let me tell you that is a bitch to fix.
<DeathStar> <Warren> People saw Chad die but it could be act. Typically when people are declared dead it wasn't the case
<Sara> <Kaori> I wonder if I have any extra lives saved up

<DeathStar> <Warren> And with new weapons cropping up, it could be tied to him. *He doesn't notice Zephyr's expression*
<Luci> Angelos> "We saw him ripped to shreds... but it could have beens omeone else."

<Sathen> *Rea looks to warren* If I'm not mistaken, haven't you apparently been shot in the head in front of fellow team members only to still be alive a short while later?
<Luci> * Angela blinks and looks at Zephyr.
<Luci> Angela> "Why... would my niece want to kill Darien Starr?"
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> *shifts* That's what I don't get. But you asked if anyone else fit the description
<DeathStar> <Zephyr> Aya Winters.
<Luci> Angelos> "She does have a history of being played by forces that loved to use mind control."
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Where is Aya right now?"
<Luci> ANgelos> "The killer might not have been voluntary, we don't have all the details. So we should assume anyone could be it."
<DeathStar> *Cheryl, who has been quiet all this time, speaks* Perhaps she killed him because of Chad. When Chad died, or didn't die, no one looked into it. We simply moved on after 30 years. Maybe she's never gotten over it and things got unhealthy.

<DeathStar> <Cheryl> We were in dark times back then when Chad was taken over

<Sathen> *Rea rotates his shoulder testing the soreness* Would Starr have seen her and considered her not a threat?

<Luci> * Angela frowns, reminded again that Angelos was educated on the entire old guard team before his emergence.

<Sathen> Rea> As much as I'm a 'new guy' and haven't read up on every one of the after action mission reports...let's stay civil.
<Jackieness> <Cassandra> "Can we confirm it? Security feeds? Witness testimony?"
<DeathStar> <Warren> *nods* I think a small team should head to the old school Jennifer and Aya went to, and see if she ever tried to sneak out of the reunion
<Sathen> Rea> Also take into account any time-zone differences between here and where the dance took place.
<DeathStar> <Warren> Talk to old classmates/teachers if you have to
<Luci> Jennifer> *rubs her head* I guess I should be on that team... I didn't go to the reunion because Dad reemerged."
<Luci> Jennifer> "But I'll have some familiarity with them."
<DeathStar> <Warren> I'll keep an eye on Aya. And keep Fiona and the other twin out of the loop for now
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "Who do you want with you, Jennifer?"

<Luci> Jennifer> "Anyone willing I guess. But we shouldn't bring too many lest we scare the locals... those that are able to be phased after having their high school blown up by Legion four times."
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr heads to the shuttle. Ako bounces after

<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr preps the shuttle, while Warren goes to find Arhn Arhnya, and takes her out to get outfits
<Jackieness> <Reikana> *heads for the shuttle as does Josie*
<DeathStar> 6* Once the shuttle is full, Zephyr flies them off.
<Luci> * Jennifer sits in the shuttle, frowning with that "I feel guilty" look.

<Sathen> *Orihime moves to take a seat quietly, looking around at the others* Need something fuzzy to pet?
<Luci> * CL pops up to join Warren.
<DeathStar> *Ren poofs into wolf cub form to fill that need*

<kalonZombee> 6*Jason appears in the shuttle as well. Hale jumps, not having seen him there

<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr flies out to Mega City in 3 minutes, landing on the school's yard

<Luci> * Jennifer peers over. "Huh? My daughter isn't here."
<DeathStar> 6* There's a statue of Legion in the school yard, since he terrorized them so much
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr gets out
<Luci> * Jennifer gets out as well, sighing a bit.
<Jackieness> <Reikana> "So, want me to mix into the student body. Do some recon? Get all ninja schoolgirl?"
<kalonZombee> <Jason> Hm. 6*He gets out as well
<Luci> Jennifer> "God I hate that statue."
<Sathen> *Orihime follows after, her tail swishing slightly*
<kalonZombee> <Jason> I could reduce it to rubble if you wish, Grandmother.
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "Why did they put one up then? You make statues of guys who kill Legion, not of Legion."
<Luci> * Jennifer rubs her head. "Because we got over 10 weeks of vacation time due to him blowing up the school over and over again."
<Luci> Jennifer> "That made him a hero in the class' books."
<Luci> Jennifer> "Of course I seem to be the only kid that was dismembered by him so..."
<kalonZombee> <Hale> I dunno, that still sounds awful.
<Sathen> *Orihime nods* I can see that happening.
<DeathStar> *Ren trots out and moves toward the school. The bell rings and students file out*
<Luci> Jennifer> "He used me as a litmus test to see if he could change the past. Figuring if he killed me, he could. He failed thanks to Cassandra."
<DeathStar> *a few eye the group and shake their heads at old people - even Reikana*
<Jackieness> <Josephine> "...they clearly forgot all of the makeup days..."
<kalonZombee> <Hale> At least you all didn't have to be up at 3 AM Every day.
<DeathStar> <Students> *they talk a foreign kid language*
<kalonZombee> <Hale> That was murder on lady time.
<DeathStar> 6* Zephyr reels at being called old, and breaks inside
<Luci> Jennifer> "Let's see what faculty is still here. Kids wouldn't have been at a reunion."
<kalonZombee> <Hale> ...Which I now regret now that I am married to my lovely wife. 6*Mal stops glaring at him
