The Duality Wars

 Students within an academy...

... will learn the ultimate lesson in the final war.

The Issue:

The problem lately is this. Due to life (or maybe Sat/Mon but more than likely life) we are having a major problem with player turnout. Last Monday, June 22nd, which was Session 29, we had a total of 4 people, including myself, and part of the charm of having a Co-GM for those is that I'm suppose to be able to tune out a bit. For Koala's on Sat then Sera's on Monday I was unable to do so.

Due to various issues in life, we have lost a majority of our people as full time players and we do not have reliable attendance anymore. I was asked to come back and do Duality when I wanted to end things on TAW5 and ironically a few of those who are now having attendance problems are those who wanted the RPG to continue. As things stand, Duality cannot continue as it is going. We do not have enough stable people anymore.

As a GM, I am not fast or sharp enough as I use to be and I need a lot of people to be able to bounce ideas off and need them to be quick and plentiful. I'm not even as fast as I was 5 years ago when TAW5 began. And one of the key things I stated when I began Duality was that I would not run it if things became stressful.

The Ideas:

I have been bouncing many ideas to see how Duality can be viable with our issues, up to cutting a group off, which would ruin the theme of Duality. I have been thinking of extending arcs to be longer like in TAW5 and spending more time with each group. They were shorted to a smaller arcs like with TAW3 for people's memories and so that we did not spend time away from each group. I have even debated ending the RPG and just doing a 24/7, RP when you want thing (or doing nothing after the RPG ends).

My Conclusion:

Here is what I have decided are the only viable options.

1) I will end Duality over the remaining 20 sessions and wrap it up on the 50th session, which happens to be the 2000th session overall for the TAW series. Having finished Chapter 1, we are just at a point in the plot I can course correct before we get too far into the plot and make a change into the plot and use the introduced places to do a roughshod like ending with what has been introduced and use elements of what was written down for Phase 1's ending.

2) We need 2 new RPers. Two committed RPers that will be committed to RPing and will enjoy RPing, and look forward to it as Sara has been doing. That we can count on them. We need them to fill the gaps we have in our roster now. That way for the players who's lives have been upturned, and cannot make it consistedly, they will be there doing so. And I don't mean just grab anyone in a panic, I've seen how that works in TAW3 (You can ask Ariel who was in TAW3 when I had a player problem then long ago).

I will give a bit of time to see if we can scrape up enough players. I might cancel Sat to give that time. I will let it be known in the topic if Sat's is canceled. The amount of time I give will be determined on factors.. If we do go for the top option, bios will no longer matter and we will go into pure freeform.
