Kumen City:

Kumen City is one of the more corrupt cities just due to the nature of how it was built. Before the planet was healed from the Ancient War where most of the surface was damaged and the atmosphere completely destroyed, the entire population had to live in the single city. This meant the builders had to stack the buildings on top of each other, leaving the lower levels as cramped slums while the upper levels were for the rich and priviledged.

The Corporations that ran the city had a power struggle for the heart of the city for most of it's life until they were defeated and they were turned over to the Macross Corporation under Ymir. However, recently, Ymir has gone missing and a new President has taken over. The Corporations have been reinistated outside the Macross one and laws that Ymir put in place are being ripped out. Now that it looks like the people of Kumen are sliding back toward a new Corporation era, people are bracing for it.

Thankfully though the world of Kumen has been healed so many have opted to move out of the city and live in one of the other cities, making it so Kumen City is no longer the only viable option. However, due to the fact Kumen City is the capital of Kumen, the President of Kumen - Jack Rodriguez - has begun to pass laws that not only effect Kumen City but the planet in general this time.

Kumen City under Jack Rodriguez is divided into three sections - the upper levels is the nobles/rich section where the businesses thrive. You'll find these are where the Corporation HQs are located, univerisites and more. These levels also have the richest stores and more. They have been recovering after the damage was done during the Black Magi incident that saw a lot of damage done to this floor and which was what led to Ymir being ousted as President. This is also the floor that has the monorail connect to the paradise beach dome.

The middle section is for the middle class. They are the working class and keep things running, but they are not poor either. The monorail systems and train systems run throughout this level and are connected to the upper levels as well from here for those who have jobs in the Corporations. There are a lot of businesses here that cater to the working class as well as normal schools and systems. This could be considreed the largest section of the three due to the larger amount of people here.

The bottom section of the city is considered the slums due to the fact little light reaches down there due to the top two layers. Now that the city is opened up to allow people to leave, many have taken the chance. And when Ymir was President, she was working on making it so nature light was being directed down there as well as jobs. But with Jack Rodriguez now President, oddly the people of the slums are having trouble leaving for some reason as if Kumen City is trying to keep them there and are using them as a slave labor force to do jobs for the Corporations that people do not want to do - jobs that even the middle section would want. In just a few short years the slums have begun to get extremely toxic once again.

Laws for Biotects and Fauna are slipping by the way side as well and gang activity has been on the rise according to reports and the Corporations have been getting funding for their own private police instead of the real police getting funding.

Jack Rodriguez runs Kumen City and Kumen itself from the President Quadrant. It is clear he wants to be located in the center of the city but the paperwork of Macross denies him access. He seems to be a single father of twins - a young man named Raul that many in the city are into due to his looks and a young woman name Isabella. Right now it seems clear that he is preparing his son for the family business, as he is always bringing him along to places and mentioning him.

The Macross Corporation is located at the center of the city. Due to being at the center of the city, it does not have a middle section or a slums level. It does have sections underground however.

Asarar's team runs the casino in Casino City that the city is named after. However, Asarar has connections and places inside Kumen itself that allows her to keep tabs on the city. She has them spread throughout the slums where the team first began.

The 6 Corporations have slowly been gaining in power and corruption. They each have powerful protection and police forces protecting them as they each seem to be slowly preparing Kumen for various things. In a short few years, they have repaired the damage to Kumen during the Black Magi incident and restored the work force.

The Kumen President and his family is also akin to a Corporation due to controlling one of the quadrants now.

The Slums are the lowest level on all 7 areas of Kumen.
