Location: Arena

Moira and Hoko are across from one another in the arena of the Badelf whom captured them. Jeering elves chant for them to fight, but since Moira refuses, Hoko advances and pressures her, forcing them to clash.

Location: McTreggor Town

Using the ruins of Lightning Town, Revoia has built herself a hidden town, keeping Rica's team "hostage." They are free to leave, but only to serpent queens that would take them beyond the borders not to reveal the hidden city, and therefore doom the party they intend to save. Thus they have stayed and occasionally assisted Revoia and her cause.

Location: Amatsune

Amaterasu's patience is being tested as 'wretched foxes' attack their ally of Ama'Dori. Zu and Ty offer to volunteer to go their aid, riling the worry of Mugi, eavesdropping on their conversation and panicking over the obvious case that they will be going to war after all.

The boy is pulled from his hiding by Zuzu, angering Amaterasu yet again, who sighs and decides that he will go at the behest of Thomas, signaling the boy's first departure from the palace walls.

Location: The Empire

We get a brief window in the ruling life of weary past Jean and Truth and her personal maiden Auna, relationships advancing with Broney and Aurica, Rachael enjoying the life of the palace.

Zegretta's group is being run from demon city to demon city hosted by mansions, protected from harm by the Cadre's intimidation(?).

Location: Somewhere in Badelf

Saedi continutes her torture games, Wyrd agreeing to have her nails pulled one by one if it means Cersei getting aid, since she looks to be dying. Before the deal is sealed, masters of the great houses of Badelf arrive and Saedi takes the opportunity to begin buying them as servants and gladiators.

Upon a caravan, they learn of one another's fates, thankfully those needing aid given it by the nicer houses, with the exception of Wyrd and James, branded by the cruelist of all.

Within the gladitorial city, positioned between the houses of the land spread out along the midcountry, each is introduced to Bon, the head who used to champion the arena, and told they will learn to fight whether they like it or not.

Session 380: The Houses Part Two of Nine

Location: Somewhere in Gelus

Upon landing from after the battle of Lightning Town, Rica's party is met with Revoia's underlings and relieved of their possessions briefly, taken into custody until Revoia decides on their fates, as they had technically attacked her soldiers.

With the grovelling of their maid Ajan and some words of apology and defense on the account of them only acting in self-defense, Revoia waves their recourse and keeps them as guests instead of indefinite length; since freeing them would mean likely giving away her new secretive town's locale at a crucial point.

They are met by Bip, a young loyalist of Revoia assigned with caring for them, and reunited with Moira and Mimi, as well as Finn, whom is given away by Ajan's fondness and fright and Revoia's fondness for her kin is revealed in them being told that Mimi had been saved from the Lightning Town explosion by none other than Revoia herself.

Bumi is brought back to Finn, apparently a favorite of the Revoian soldiers.

Location: Still Revoia's camp

Five days of reacquainting has passed, and a meal is presented with Revoia present so that she may try to win over her daughters' loyalties. Revoia assures Mimi and Moira that they would die if they sought out Juliet as is, and shoots down any chances they have at cooperation in finding her as the princess is not in league to ally with her.

Location: The Forest Around Training Village

Amaterasu and her posse arrive at the bring of the training village, Fi'Anna on a leash to Amaterasu herself after so many attempts at wandering off, blaming it on the mischievous Mugi who can scarcely defend his name.

After climbing into the canopies where much of the hidden mystifae village of azuha rests, they find many of the students and inhabitants, if not all, in a dazed trance, but a quick bitchslap of the gods wakes one up enough to inform Ama of where to go next.

The group travels further to meet with the trainers who have gone missing, mingled in with Sky People who seem more curious and investigative than aggressive, even meeting the curious, bright-eyed Mugi with the offer of 'revealing his true self.' Before the boy can answer he's whisked off and returned a beautiful girl-- one breast shy.

Apparently the sky people only descended to see why mana was disappearing from all countries except Amatsune, stating that the world will perish and the 'one tied to it' if allowed to persist. They agree to announce their presence next visit, but leave with a warning about Umbal seeking to destroy them.

Location: Ire

Zegretta's posse on the other hand, remains in captivity, a captivity that Zegretta herself has grown even fond of due to her royal-like treatment despite being a foreign princess, while the rest are grateful simply to be untouched thus far in their long pilgrimage to the Cadre.

After a short discussion of the true nature of their being summoned, and abducted for that matter, the two speculate on the actual reasons behind their ferrying to the Cadre and whether it is malign or not given the niceities to Zegretta and perhaps the 'kindness' in allowing Jubei to keep half of the Rune Blade.

Session 381: The Houses Part Three of Nine

The captured gladiators go through their training week and move into mock battles to try and earn their way into their houses. Narok and James are matched up, Narok defeating James. Moira and Lia are matched up, but Maka attempts to use a blood busrting poison to make it look like Lia got the scoring hit, only the plan backfires. Lia and Moira are sent to the winner's benches while Maka is sent to the losers bench. Hoko and Bel start out and Hoko learns the hard way that Bel is immune to fire attacks. Wyrd faces off against a giant, who turns out to be Amazo, who sniffles and runs back home after Wyrd makes him ouchies.

The winners are taken on a tour of the five close houses, where they are told about each house and given a rundown of how things will go. Each introduces themselves to their new master, but Wyrd sets herself up for a spot of insolence at not following the crowd. Lia gets herself into the house offering herself as a healer, and then when rejected, a scribe, convincing her lady to take her on. The others settle into their new positions. Houses Heartwood, Garald, Vindic and Pheonixplume have taken on new gladiators and servants who may just prove to make the games far more interesting than intended.

In the Demon Realm, the party gets into a carriage to head through the Ice Mountains to their next location. Dressed warmly, they still brave chilling cold and rescue a penguin, whom the name of which is still in question. However, what they find along the path are Weindigo signs, and the group sets up inside a cave, Dimme-Kur insisting on going along to quell the Weindigo. The group sets up defensively for any attacks, sealing the entrance of the deep cave behind them, a presence in the cave still with them, it feels dangerous, but not as dangerous as a horde of angry Weindigo.

At Ama's palace, the siblings discuss the news and mounting concerns about their Umbal cousins, Ama expresses her fears that the darkness in them may come from the inugami, a long lost artifact of the old regimine. Suzu resolves that they must send spies into Umbal to confirm if the inugami fell and has been corrupting Umball all this time.

Revioa contemplates the need to make the girls understand the need to work with her. Speaking to Bumi, she reveals her drive to conquer may have much nobler purposes than the groups have considered so far. The good of all Gelus, to prevent it burning.

Session 382: The Houses Part Four of Nine

In the Demon Realm, the group continues to wait for their guide's return when El notices that Zegretta has gone missing. The group splits up, some staying with the carriage while the rest go hunting her. Down a marked path they find a journal entry stating she's scouting the first 100 paces, however, they pass that point to find she's still missing. Noticing a steep decline, they wonder if she might have slipped when a scream, not from Zegretta, cries out from help down the hole. Kaelan considers it might be a trap but Jubei races into battle and the others have to follow.

Reaching the bottom they find a tentacle rape monster, much larger than the one they encountered in Old Tareh. The group battles the tentacles but winds up hurting one another as they try and take it down. Finally, focusing on eyes, the group is able to blind the monster. It charges, rushing over Zegretta and breaking bones, but Kaelan is able to form a Storm Barrier to knock it back and stun it, the group taking it out once and for all. Kaelan and Jubei work to heal her.

Up above, an Alpha Wendigo breaks through the rock barrier at the cave's entrance. It attempts to attack and Gini stands in it's way. Just as the group arrives to deal with it, it snaps Gini's neck, killing her. The group uses combinations of fire attacks and strikes to beat the monster down, it taking multiple fire strikes into the heart to kill it. Jubei or Lucky seem to share the last blow.

By the time Dimme-Kur returns, he finds the group has buried Gini and severedand burned the corpse, scattering the ashes. Dimme-Kur notes that they likely did not spread the ashes enough and that it will be back, looking to destroy the one who struck the killing blow. The group travels on, in less than happy spirits.

Revoia has taken Rica's group along with Mimi and Moira up on Serpent Queens to survey the progress of the attacks. After some debate, Mimi and Moira seem to agree to work with Revoia for now, Rica speaking up and putting in the point that there has to be a Gelus of Juliet to remain a princess in the future. Rica's point would seem to remind Revoia that in the future they'll be enemies again, however, Revoia promises to let them all go to do whatever they wish after the war is won.

In Riven, the group continues to work towards glory, however, Moira has challenged a death match against house Phoenixplume as retaliation for the purchase of Cersei. Celestia sets up the match... Moira matched up against Cersei herself. At the tournament, Wyrd is offered the choice to get Cersei out of the match and she agrees, which leads the matchup to pit Moira against James instead. The others all take their battles, Narok fighting a monster and winning, Maka winning her death match against her opponent, and Bel defeating Urr in a safe standard match.

Then James and Moira battle, for their lives, the battle goes long and hard, neither giving and inch and the two each wanting to survive, so they fight seriously. The fight is broken up however by Mana Bombs, as the fight takes too long. The bombs go off and James is left standing, only a bloody mess and her weapon seem to remain of Moira after the battle. The gladiators head home, they learn the reason for the interruption, Ama'dorei is closing in on Gelus, not happy about the whole invasion thing or illegal fleets.

Belit is invited into her house, allowing Narok to take his invitation into it as well as he previously declined to be with her. Maka joins Lia in their house while James is brought into Phoenixplume to hear a promised offer. James is offered the choice to sleep with his mistress, in exchange,she promises to acquire Juliet for him from the King.

Training on Serpent Queens, the group in McTreggor town recieves a shock when Moira crumples over in pain, falling off her Queen. They find her unharmed, but Moira realizes the pain doens't come from her mark, but herself. The group together concludes that Moira must have had a new clone after the explosion in Lightning Tower, and now it has just died.

Jean and her entourage arrive in Neer's port city of Nephilius, where Jean feels Wyrd in the Mark. However, as she tries to reach out to her, Jean feels herself cut off, a block put up in her way. This enrages Jean, causing a crate nearby to explode, however, Truth and Lin Erica attempt to calm her and refocus on getting to Mercy to see the situation there in Neer. Jean demands an invasion of Badelf. In the distance, a figure like Gemane watches curiously, swinging a strange weapon.

Session 383: The Houses Part Five of Nine

Revoia's guests have spent 10 days learning to handle themselves on Serpent Queens and now they are being offered Serpent Queens of their own. As they learn about the varied personalities of each color, they begin to bond. Finn takes a White, Moira and Mimi Blues, Simon a Red. Rica, Bumi, Lana and Ajan bond Greens, Sal takes a Brown, and Skarr roars back at a black, who gives in.

In the city of Charles, Jean's group stops here to gaze a moment, and Jean attempts to feel out for Wyrd again. A block seems to return after a moment, even with Truth trying to help. Truth frowns as she notices Lin Erica leaning on Jean as she reminds her to look over documents as they try. The group takes note of a group from Amatsune also moving along by them, headed in the same direction they are.

The group peeks at Jean's papers to see agreements to support the current King of Gelus and to support trade, Truth reminds Jean in the bond that their friends were working against the King, and that they are in conflict. She seems to have more to say, but Jean dwells on this rising conflict.

At Ama's Palace, Zun reports that Ama'dorei will lend what help they can, but will need weeks to split forces off from the engagement in Badelf. She also says she's sent representatives to Neer to make a point about supporting the effort. Butler reports on people in the guard being low on moral, especially people from Gelus.

Rain falls on Riven when something begins to form from Moira's blood in the abandoned arena. The group in their various houses go about their new daily lives when an alarm rings out from the direction of the arenas. Looking out, they see Bon and guards saddling up to head out. However, not knowing what it is and seeking to not get in trouble over the situation, they hesitate, getting locked in the compound. Wyrd, sensing Moira, asks her Lady if she can go to the arena to help. Celesia agrees on a condition, which turns out to be using Cersei how she wishes.

She employs Saedi to escort them and most of the group goes along, Wyrd and Cersei are freed temporarily from their collars. What they arrive on is a slaughter, an enraged, half dead Moira shooting out lightning all over. Cersei and Wyrd form up to go and attack and Narok and James try to use the situation to get ahold of the collar key. Lia takes her time instead to memorize the key and observe Moira's broken collar, she points out the collar may be the cause of Moira's actions.

Cersei and Wyrd keep Moira busy as Bel shoots the collar off her, this causes Moira to collapse and begin dying again. Bon releases Lia from her collar and Lia uses her magik to restore Moira, saving her. The three are then recollared and Moira given a new one.

Later that night, Narok is confronted about his attempt and he convincingly tells his lord that he was merely trying to free up his power to hold Moira in place. This seems to satisfy the man, meanwhile, Celesia exacts her price doubly on Wyrd and Cersei as Wyrd knocked Saedi over in the battle.

Moira is given her punishment for the hundreds slaughtered in her ressurection, 13 lashings at the hand of Saedi. This seems to satisfy the public, many jeering, but also many looking away after a bit, showing the populace isn't completely mean or evil. After the punishment, Moira is taken down and not given healing till the end of the day, and even then, not fully. This dark day is marked with news that they will all be heading to the capital for even more dangerous games as Moira destroyed the arena. However, not all their recent news is so bad...

Wyrd is given a bit of hope. She feels Jean in the Mark again, sorrowful and wanting her badly, before the mysterious block shifts it's way in again. With renewed hope, and the looming trouble that someone, somewhere, both has the power to and is putting up a block to them, Wyrd is given a new task to try and regularly reach Jean. Perhaps, somehow, they will get through finally and the truth can be revealed.

Session 384: The Houses Part Six of Nine

Finishing their training, Mimi, Moira, Rica and her people meet with Revoia and agree to join in an assault on Seacrest, where they intend to crush the conflicting forces and take control, hopefully beginning to push back the expanding Badelf forces.

The slave team is gathered with all five lords to learn that they have been invited to the capital for an announcement. Most of the group is selected to go with the Lords and Ladies to face much more challenging battles. Lia has to convince her lady to go with them, admitting her relationship to Maka, her lady not taking the surprise well.

10.1.2862

Five days of travel later takes the group to the capital city. Gathered to five smaller, but still joined houses, the group is brought into another meeting where people may volunteer to come to the announcement. James, Cersei, Bel, Wyrd, Narok, and Moira volunteer, when no one from Vindic speaks up, Lia cautiously volunteers, despite not being a gladiator, she is invited along as well, but decides to keep quiet and out of the way.

They are led up to meet King Elesar, who seems ancient and a bit out of it, but he announces he is to be married to a new wife: Princess Juliet. The team steels themselves, James needing to be reined in, though most of the nobles seem unhappy with a human marrying the King as well. He hears nothing of it and makes the announcement official.

10.2.2862

The group awaits more fun when Celesia talks with them about the possibility of allowing the marriage as it puts Juliet in power and could lead to peace. They are more distracted however by the shaking volcano nearby. Guards seek virgin sacrifices and Hoko volunteers. The ceremony, which seems to ease corruption whenever Aschae is named, goes well, Hoko's dive calms the volcano god and all seems well.

The wedding goes smoothly, though, as Lia silently notes, Juliet never says "I do." However, an hour later the King is found dead of a heart attack, and the marriage seems to not be consummated. The nobles begin to plot and Celesia addresses her three, the others waiting to hear from their masters.

Rica's group flies in on the battlezone, spotting Ailee, Finn is sent in to stop her. The group lands and continues their mission in the city. Finn, taking quite a beating from enemy forces, has to use the seal to quell Ailee, he then follows by Serpent Queen, with Simon, after the others.

Session 385: The Houses Part Seven of Nine

Rica's group makes their way through the streets, after deliberating they agree to find Lea and deal with her. Rica seeming to have the idea that they can get her to switch sides. They travel through the town and come to the barrier around the noble area. Finding it has an alarm trigger, the group considers finding a better way in when Ajan opens a hole through it with fire magik.

This causes the alarms to sound and the group has to pound their way through King's soldiers to do it. They meet a group of Ama'dorei soldiers and despite Rica's order to move on, Skarr charges the soldiers and begins to fight, causing the group to have to help extract him, leading to eight dead soldiers, the two who escape swear blood oaths. The group then sneaks their way to the Linersias Mansion, where, despite sneaking in successfully, they care given away when Ajan decides to loudly praise their success.

The group is led into a chamber with Lady Lea, who asks what they are doing and why, Rica tries to be plain about their intentions, but there is an air of intrigue that seems beyond the obvious. Lea rushes them out, in hopes to preserve whatever she plans (later thought that she was working in Juliet's interests all along). However, Bip uses a magical stone to attack Lea with a fire spell, destroying her. Bip turns herself over to let the others escape, but Ajan tries to run off with her, causing Bip and Ajan both to be caught.

Meeting up with Revoia sometime later, the group learns that she hoped Amadorei would side with her, Rica lets her know about the deaths and Revoia makes moves to secure her position, and possibly get back Ajan.

10.2.2862

In Ama's Palace, Ama feels the death of Hoko and greives over the loss, Mugi attempts to go comfort her, but Nilla stops the girl, for her own good.

10.3.2862

In Mercy, Jean's group arrives at the palace and meets the temporary King Timothy and Queen Tyranna, ruling while Henry is still too young to take the throne. The group is silent about Zegretta as the royal family still thinks her dead. Truth mentions Kaelan and Jean becomes quiet for a moment, Truth insists that, despite Jean's beliefs, the group in the Demon Realm is not lost forever.

Truth suggests they reach out to the Marked again, Jean instead declares her plan to build a house for Wyrd to come home to.

10.6.2862

Three days pass in Elfleid and the house groups are seperated, interrogated by their individual lords and ladies. After which, the group is put out in a central room and begin to make movements. Bel calls Wyrd out for not paying enough attention to Cersei as the subject of following Celesia comes up, Lia, quietly trying to warn Bel and Wyrd that they're being monitored by a spell chimes in with words trying to get them all to cooperate, Bel clues in that something is wrong when Maka mysteriously keeps shifting about to hear everyone better.

Cleo and Urr sniff her and then Urr leads Bel, Cersei and Wyrd outside. They come back after some time and Wyrd has a false collar on, which she uses to dispel Maka's listening spell, freeing her from the enchantment. Cersei is upset with Lia for not warning them, but Wyrd and Bel both admit they realized too late the warnings she tried to give.

10.3.2862

Back in Seacrest, the town is secured under McTreggor rule and the Ama'dorei forces agreed to side with Revoia. Evidence of foul play by the King's men swaying them to her side. She presents Ajan with documents that also show a few dirty deeds by the King, most done by Lord Hill. Due to their status as killers of Ama'dorei, the group is sent back to McTreggor Town to train up their Serpent Queens and let the rage die down for now.

Session 386: The Houses Part Eight of Nine

Those at McTreggor town contnue to train and grow with their Serpent Queens, who are not yet ridable but growing at a considerable rate. Ro'an, a childhood friends of Mimi with some ire towards her, lets the group know that they'll be helping with the offensive down south. They gear up, Rica wondering if Mimi could earn back the love of the McTreggor clan as they board the SQs they'll be riding south.

In the Demon Realm, the group comes upon the Lilen area of the realm, nice and well grown out. Enterting their city, which is the closest thing the Lilen have to a sect, the group is taken to the noble area to rest and supply for their continues journey. Kaelan takes note of the groups rising fears, especially Jubei's, and decides to teach her to learn to control her fears.

10.10.2862
In Elflied, the captives discuss with Celesia plans on what they will do next. Lia, reeling from the aftermath of the failed spying, chooses to cast her lot in along with all of the others to Celesia. After Celesia leads, a gladiator from an upper house makes a run at Umi, and they begin to fight. Umi is joined by Urr, Cleo, Wyrd and Cersei, and Lia and Maka start to help those who get hurt during the fight. The man is taken down, and several other gladiators try to join in. The fight is broken up and people left to lick their wounds.

Jean's group in Mercy finishes treaties with the Neer and prepares to go. Truth continues to be optimistic about the status of those in the Demon Realm while Jean becomes nostalgic of the old days. Aurica begins to question why the move was made with Neer, and not one of the other good neighboring nations.

A week passes in Elfleid, the group has survived so far but poisoning has begun in the houses, and on this day the group detects poison in their food. Cersei, Wyrd, Lia and Maka targets, but each couple given different poisons. They escape eating the food, but the implication is that two parties are trying to kill them. Celesia is enraged that someone would try to implicate
her of killing her own people with poison, an act she detests, and also suggests that it's likely that due to Maka and Lia's status of disgrace, their lady is their poisoner, having decided to use their deaths to further her goals.

They fall in more with the group here, and Celesia agrees to help them out with food while they play the game of survival. Celesia decides to move up her plans, and when she learns that Umi could take care of her master, one of the likely poisoners, they decide to bring her in on it. With a small exchange of toplessness, Celesia gives the group time with Juliet, and Juliet agrees to help keep things busy so that the group can get plans together and act.

At the same time in the southern Gelus mountain ranges, Ro'an outlines the plan with her troupe of budding Queen riders, directing them to the upper areas to take care of the elven forces there. Their goal is simple, decimate or nuetralize the troops there to help the riders take the bigger forces out. They begin to strategize.

Jean's people arrive back at Jeanole, where worshipful people come hoping for the touch of the Angel or the Ascended. The group greets the people and make their way to the palace, each seems to give different blessings by touch, according to the worshippers. Later on, a house is built in a dream and plans are made with two Marked through dreams.

Kon Garald argues with his young cousin to drive him out and then turns to Umi, to get her report on her progress poisoning different people in the palace. Umi reports, then promptly poisons him, as Kon Garald dies, Umi prevents him from getting the antidote. Celesia shows up to hide Umi and give her an alibi, however, Umi was poisoned in the process of her work and Wyrd has to sneak back into Garald's room for the antidote. She arrives with seconds to spare after finding it and they administer the potion, waiting to see if Umi lives or dies.

Anniversary Session 16: The Houses Finale

Ama is still grieving and no aggressive moves by Umbal have been made. The group discusses spies being discovered, some in key positions. Then Ama feels Hoko... or at least something like Hoko, alive once more.

Out in the Mountains of South Gelus, the battle begins between the Soldiers of McTreggor and Badelf. Rica and her people swoop in and begin to deal damage, trying to take out the peaks that the Badelf soldiers are boxed into. However, a male mage among the troops causes trouble and when Lana and Finn are in danger, Rica and Bumi leap in to try and save them, Rica accidentally hitting Bumi with a charged throwing knife. As the puppy dies, Rica feels karmic payback immediately as the maddened mage punishes the puppy slayer with a massive burst of magik. The mage is distracted enough however, for the others to take him down, the team takes out the peaks and decimates the soldiers, but not before massive loss.

Back in McTreggor Town, the team recovers, Rica being healed up, though not all the way, and the others recovering from their injuries. The team is given a new mission in Undercity, with expected resistance from Royal forces. They are ordered to rest up and ready for the mission.

Jean gathers her people in the throne room to declare her intent to send in the cavalry to aid those trapped in Badelf. She wants to go herself, but Lin Erica convinces her to stay, instead, a team of Enforcers are sent to retrieve the Marked. Jean decides to rush Rachael's pregnancy in anticipation of some dark times to come.
In Elflied, investigations begin to determine who killed Kon and everyone is subjected to questioning. Lia worries over what to do to help secure hers and Maka's safety, but again chooses not to oust her friends in order to help herself.

The Inquisitor arrives, none other than Raelic Phoenixplume, General and maddened male mage. He declares that the games for the throne will be decided by combat, and he summons forth a bloody copy of Hoko, presenting her as the Champion. Defeating her will be the only way to the crown.

Once the meeting in the throne room is over, Raelic begins in inquisitions into the murders. He shows up to see Celesia, making it more than obvious the history of abuse Raelic has had with his little sister. When he discovers she is pregnant however, she chooses to claim she was raped by House Vindic gladiators, protecting Wyrd. While the group tries to heal Celesia, Lia attempts to offer her services as a mage to Farah once more, but she chooses not to cheat and she can't let Lia into the games without a collar.

While Celesia discusses strategy with the others, Raelic roughly makes his move on House Vindic, turning Lia over to Saedi and using a mind delve to tear information out of Maka and the other gladiators, when he finds nothing, he goes for Farah herself. He becomes enraged when he discovers their innocence and the fact that Celesia lied to him. He stalks off, while Lia plays the submissive kitten, managing, with the facts, to give an accusation that protects everyone, pointing the murder to Kon himself, giving a theory that it could have been an accident all along. She escapes torture, Saedi letting her go.

As a crowd roars, the Hoko copy kills competitors one after another. However, when Maka fights, she lucks out and manages to kill the copy. However, Raelic creates another one, and soon Moira is up and fights another copy as well. Moira wins her fight too, as well as Urr. Wyrd talks to Cersei about the complicated relationship she has with Celesia, but Cersei tells her it can wait until after the fight. However, due to being distracted by such things, Cersei is killed, but not without taking the Hoko clone out with her at the same time. Wyrd has to be held back so that the other competitors can possibly win their freedom, but is eventually allowed out to have her revenge. Cleo says she knows a resurrection spell, and heads off with Cersei’s body to perform it.

Raelic doubts that the last four competitors, which consist of Belit, Narok, James, and Umi, could defeat Hoko clones, so he strikes a deal: If they can last two minutes in a fight with him, four on one, then house Phoenixplume will be crowned. They are all uncollared, and the fight begins. However, it seems that Raelic is as powerful as he is insane, turning the entire floor into quicksand, summoning skurrworms and golems, and even creating a tidal wave. A very rough two minutes later, though, all four champions are still alive, so House Phoenixplume is crowned the winner and will be the new ruling house.

Cleo managed to successfully raise Cersei, though there may be personality changes that happen. However, the body is gone, completely vanished without a trace. Celesia tells them that the wedding will happen in two days when Raelic and Saedi appear. Raelic still plans to make Celesia his queen, and demands to know who Wyrd, her current lover, is. Wyrd confronts him, however, saying that he killed her lover. After making him extremely angry, Raelic is about to intervene when an officer walks in and says that Serpent Queens just destroyed an entire platoon. He starts to leave… but not before cursing Wyrd. He had Cersei’s body, and he used powerful magik to make sure that if Wyrd or her friends come near or touch Cersei, she will take on unbearable pain. Celesia goes to tell him that she made Wyrd do everything, and shortly after she leaves, there is a terrible scream…

The day of the wedding arrives, and Saedi has a gift for Wyrd. However, Wyrd spurns her gift, which turns out to be Cersei, alive and mostly well, the curse removed. Soon the ceremonies begin, however, Celesia keeps her face hidden from view from everyone, especially on one side. However, soon they are wed and the wedding finished.

In the chambers of the new queens, which Saedi leads the group into, she reunites the group (especially James) with Juliet. Wyrd goes on a tirade about how Saedi is a horrible person, and Celesia tells her to shut up, the first words she’s said to the group since the incident two days ago. Saedi went to rescue Cersei from a horrible place and is tired of Wyrd constantly berating her best friend.

She demands that they all leave, and after they get Lia and Maka, they do so. However, Wyrd stays behind, promising to kill Celesia’s brother. However, Celesia wants nothing more to do with Wyrd anymore and demands that she leaves. After the group leaves, Saedi confesses her love for Celesia, knowing that the feeling won’t be returned, and that she’s fine with that.
At the wagon, Umi talks to the Garald cousin, who wants her to stay as his wife. He offers Umi a ring, and she accepts, both of them climbing into the wagon to ride along with, at least for a little while.

Back at Riven, the group discuss their next move. The corruption may be coming from the volcano, and Juliet wants to stop it before it can ravage Gelus. The group agrees to help her with this task, Juliet promising to make the world a better place.

Saedi arrives in Riven with the groups old equipment, including their money, except for Whispering Blade. She also has the explosives needed to breach the weakest wall. The team prepares for a stealth mission, heading for the volcano under the cover of night and dark clothing. The explosion goes off, the barrier is breached, and the group moves towards the volcano to take care of the corrupted mana.

Session 387: The Incredible Journey

A brave troupe of mice made their way north from the lands of the Elves, and finding a camp of them over the ruins of some city, they freed more animals, Tim the Tigroar and Grand the Serpent Queen amongst them, as well as a troupe of fluffballs. After bravely lighting a series of barrels on fire and blowing up the Southern Advance, thus claiming all of the EXPs, the creatures headed South back for their meat givers.

Trekking through deep and dark woods, they encounter evil owls and good owls, making friends and helping to take down the evil owls and punish them for being mean. Some owls joining the, on their journey, they continue to head towards where they think Riven is.

Along the way, they find a hut with a 6 year old elven girl inside, named Pi, starving and alone. Befriending the girl, they feed her with food they scavenge and find her herbs to treat her fever, then decide to take her to Riven because the strange Catmew of the meatgivers can make her better.

Arriving in Riven, they find the city is deteriorating due to the destruction of the arena and the war effort, what they also find is a hole being repaired in the Houses Wall. Hearing that the meat givers may be in an abandoned house to the north, the brave creatures attack and defeat the two they learn it from, as they plan to attack the meatgivers, then head north to find them.

There, they find the group, settled in, they are amazed and happy to be reunited with their pets, and Lia is able to heal the girl of her fever.

Ama's private group heads south to Calico where they begin to make arrangements and observe the wonders of Calico body art. A Scurr takes Butler's lovers back to the palace, having taken them along in it's gut to not be lonely.

Rica's group on Serpentback spots a Ruins tower in a remote location just before touching down outside Undercity. The group discusses going to see the tower at a later time before delving underground. As they move, they see signs in blood warning them to turn back. It is now they learn that Revoia's conquest of Undercity was merely taking the surface.

The group arrives in Trader's Market and finds the most likely place they are going to have to look for the records are in the buried library far deeper in Undercity. Noting the poor state of things the group resolves to send them some help later, then move deeper underground towards Bastion.

Two elves, bandits Kaelan's group previously encountered, arrive at Ama's palace offering their expertise in advising about Badelf war tactics. The former insurgents are granted sanctuary by Ama.

Nearing Bastion, Rica's party runs into a group of Mutants, the battle is quick, unavoidable and bloody, but they survive. Ajan and two of the riders with the group are bitten. The group enters Bastion to supply and rest, and figure out if their allies will zombify.

Session 389: Wendigo and the Lilin

In Carnality, the Demon Realm group has been resting for several days with only one Lilin murder to hint that the Yeti hunts them. As Jean gives Lessa a true mark, overriding whatever was done to make her an Enforcer, the group discusses some possibilities about that particular trait of the Empire's forces. They get so deep into it no one but Jubei seems to notice when Angel and Zegretta wave and duck out to go exploring. They're only alerted when they realize the girls are gone and Kaelan feels out for Jubei only to feel her fear and pain from a Wendigo attack.

Going back in time a little, Zegretta and Angel are joined by Jubei at the market. Where they are petting a tiger demon. The three run into a Rakasha who leads them to an alleyway and into a back door to a room after sparking curiosity, and the girls find two others in there, an ambush. Zegretta changes their mind as to how easy taking her will be, killing two, Angel taking down another with Jubei, before the ambush's reinforcements are decimated by a new guest, the Wendigo. Angel blows up the Wendigo's face with some powder and it runs, and Zegretta drags Jubei into a VIP room.

The team comes to the club and finds Jubei getting a lapdance, a dance contest sign up, and tracks that Umi follows to a small district. After gathering themselves up, and some signing up for the dance contest later, the group heads out to track the Wendigo.

Jubei and Lucky begin to fall into the Wendigo sickness, starting to slowly go insane to make them easier prey as the group heads into the south district. Hours pass as they check shop after shop, and with only a few remaining, they split up to try and find it faster. Kaelan, Zegretta and Angel find nothing, while Lenneth nearly falls to her death on a tower, Asha saving her while Lenneth is temporarily deafened by a bell gong.

Both groups feel Jean's terror and her go out in the mark, and Kaelan rushes them to the store she went to check. They pass through the girls being sold there, though Jubei stays to negotiate the sale of them while everyone else races to save Jean's life. Definately suffering from Wendigo fever. Umi, ahead of them, follows Jean's scent and digs her free while the rest walk down a trap passage, not warned about it.

They are trapped when the Wendigo collapses the roof-cave in on them from behind. Kaelan
heals the girl who was left there as bait and El busts through the back of the cave to let them out. While Jubei struggles with a Wendigo down below, after Umi returns with Jean and tries to get her healed, the group arrives and races outside to battle him. The Wendigo soon finds the full wrath of the team, who work together to chop limbs and pin him for Jean to use a high powered Fire spell. They gather up the ashes to scatter and Kaelan helps Jubei buy the girls.

Ro'an maps out the journey the group will have to take, they need to reach Mutant City and collect samples from the Prime Mutant to cure the infection in Ajan and the rider. After which, they can proceed Deepcrest for the records they need. They will hopefully find a Mason Mage to help with the cure along the way, or Rica will figure out her magic enough to help. The group has to move without rest, and with the aid of an anti-Mutant serum, race along towards Intersection.

Nearly 24 hours into their run, the rider suffering has not improve, though Ajan has. The rider in fact, turns, tearing out the throat of another rider. Ro'an puts the turned one out of his mistery. They press on, seeing their time even more limited than they thought.

Arriving at Intersection, the group is halted at the gates and made to show a lack of bites. They come clean about Ajan however and promise they're there only to get to Mutant City and end the threat. This gets them in, they find Intersection has been decimated by the Mutants. They take a few hours to rest.

Session 390: Plains of Molochs and Inugamis

Leaving Bastion behind, the group heads out into the tunnels once more towards Mutant City, but something seems wrong, the tunnels seem unused. Surely the Mutants would have gone through them. Then they come to a wall of spiderwebs. Attempting to burn through the webs causes hundreds of tiny spiders to swarm out at the group. While trying to beat them back, a giant spider traps them from behind and the group battles for their lives.

Simon is swarmed with spiders and pumped with poison, killed, while others suffer bites. Finding a side passage the group gets in and closes it off from the spiders, where Sal is able to use Simon's corpse to create an anti-venom for the others. Saved, they begin to head down the passage into the darkness. Rica looting a templar cross of Jean with three crests from Simon's corpse in tears, perhaps to remember him by.

The Demon Realm group prepares to leave for their next destination when they spot the Malamute from before. Jubei tries to confront it and the group learns about Inugami and that the Malamute will soon die. The group gathers round and Zegretta, Kaelan and Jubei explain their strengths and desires in a contract to the Inugami and ultimately the Inugami selects Kaelan, who initiates a contract with her.

Zegretta brings a Lilin along on their journey, a rather clutzy character by the name of Clit. The Inugami identifies himself as Theric, and quickly becomes popular with the catmews when he says how he likes cute kitties.

Riding along through plains, the group spots Molochs doing mock battles in preparation for a tournament. The group observes, but rides on through the first Moloch town they come to.

The group arrives in Minos, the fortress city of the Molochs, here they are brought to another fine manor to stay in, connected to a Cadre member. Zegretta and Angel go to explore and Kaelan and Jubei follow them. They head to the arena and the Champion there mistakes Zegretta for the Angel, going by her ears and tail. Jubei and Kaelan intervene and the Champion goes to practice.

The group spots some Imps fly in and blast the Champion, Kaelan tries to shield him. The Champion barely survives, needing a replacement. Umi and Kaelan both volunteer, but the group decides to evaluate and see who should fight.

Umi wins, in terms of taking the champion position, and the group helps her prepare for battle using only her strength, a fire rune, and her Wind Barks.

Session 391: Jean Day

After a day of her Empress duties, it is announced that there will be a special holiday to celebrate the return of Jean with the Empire. After Lin Erica walks off, Truth asks Jean about what she and Lin do all the time and is given a laundry list of boring ruler duties. Jean makes a joke about beheading people and walks off as well after a bit, and the group is left to wonder if she thinks
they think she's into shady dealings. Or perhaps, if she's really doing shady things and doesn't realize it. Truth expresses her worry about the future, denying the idea of shady things. Melissa walks off.

11.1.2862

Coming to a fork in the path, the group in Undercity is stuck having to decide whether to go straight or right, their map no longer useful. Rica at first reminds that the main road to get to Mutant City had a right turn, however, after being reminded that they came on one in the dark, she suggests the straight path. Ailee decides she wants to go right, but is outvoted by the rest to go straight. The group finds the entrance to Mutant City, covered in traps.

Having to spring them and fight ambushers, the group battles their way inside. Once in there, they discover hundreds more mutants waiting for them, and when Ajan wakes from her fever and starts nomming on Skarr, he tosses her into the mutant packs. Having to save Ajan from the mutants, the group burns out a large group of them, creating a distraction so part of the team can sneak into buildings and get the water they need for the cure.

Mutant Prime rises from the leyline cracks and comes to fight them, and Ailee is able to suck some of his blood out and spit it into a vial. The group begins to make their escape, however, most remain behind to battle the Mutant Prime and keep their promise of ending the Mutant threat once and for all.

Umi faces off against the winner of the tournament, a brash Moloch who wields a Holy Rune with skill beyond anything expected for a demon. Unfortunately for him, Umi chose wisely in her abilities and is immune to Holy elements. Umi bashes him good and the Moloch dies impaled on a spike, Umi securing the Championship for another year. Jean swoons.

Jean Day begins in Jeanole and she with her followers move out to a dais to address the cheering, faithful crowds. Leruste spots a familiar face and breaks off to follow a fleeing figure. He finds Parita who awakens him to the thought of actually looking into what's really going on in the Empire. Parita mentions that the Spears did in fact come to Sinai, yet there is only mention of Autumn; she hands him a book as a lead and tells him the bloodlines have answers.

As he heads back, Jean reacts to the prayers of her people, shooting a beam of light into the heavens, many in the crowd are cured of ailments, a day of miracles begins. And the question of what could happen if her power was in the wrong hands comes to mind.

Those who stayed behind in Mutant City, holed up for days, are just thinking about charging out desperately when light bursts from Moira. The light blinds the mutants, giving the team all the edge they need to kill Mutant Prime. This causes the remaining mutants to flee and allows the group to leave, they find a cart outside and instruction to join the others who took Ajan in hopes of finding the mage.

Those with Ajan just so happen to find themselves facing bandits when the light of Jean bursts from Ajan, sending them packing.

Ama's vessel is shocked when light bursts from Butler into the sky. An Umbal vessel in the distance begins to follow the light toward them.

Those in Riven are forced to flee from Riven when their many Marked members also burst with light, alerting Riven's guards. In the distance, the Enforcers on their way to help them spot the light and begin to follow it.

Session 392: Journey to Elfleid

The Badelf group makes their way south under cover of darkness, avoiding the main road between Riven and Elfleid. First Urr then Lia and Pi are taken below ground. Finding a tunnel leading beneath the volcanic rock, the others make their way underground in search of the missing members of their band. They encounter the spiders that lair underneath, and the battle begins.

In Elfleid, Celesia must face down the challenges to her reign as entrenched elements protest her attempts at reform, and Saedi is sent to deliver the reanimated form of Hoko back to the others.

Once more in the spider tunnels, those who have been captured learn that the spiders intend to use them as living incubators for their young (demonstrated explosively ab an already infected female elf). The other group fights their way into the spider nursery, badly outnumbered by the spidery horde. While everyone else is getting beaten up by eight-legged death, Narok plunders a diamond that was embedded in the cavern wall. After a pitched battle that could have turned against them in a heartbeat, our adventurers manage to escape.

Meanwhile, Ama's ship approaches Ama'dori when it encounters an armed vessel of Umbal. Deprived of its escort who were engaged with Badelf's forces, Ama's ship succeeds in sinking the Umbal ship, sending its crew of twisted sea-azuha into the water. Unfortunately, Mugi is struck blind by an Umbal curse. Ama's ship limps into the port of Elisae and learn of a strange disease that afflicts the port city's food stores.

The Badelf group has continued its journey, discussing the possible nature of the volcano from which the corruption erupts. However, their conversation is cut short by the arrival of (a bow-covered) Hoko, who came bearing gifts. With full bellies and new bondage-themed armor, our merry band made camp. Wyrd is also advised to sleep with one eye open because Hoko still holds a grudge.

Session 393: Blood Suckers

Departing Minos, the group travels on into bat country. As they move along, the group talks and tries to get to know one another better, Rebecca questioning if the group are friends or not. Kaelan begins to relate her sad story to Theric in an attempt to bond better with him.

The group arrives at Drachen, their last stop for supplies before they head for their final destination. Here Vampires dominate the landscape, as do bats. The group is led to a manor where they are to stay with the Malthus vampires. The group are given rooms and offered food, and after settling in, many decide to go out and browse the city.

Jubei, who idled behind in Minos, clearly having a thing for Moloch, arrives at the city late on the back of a helldonkey. Deciding to punch it to control it, her helldonkey brilliantly slams itself into the gates, leaving Jubei lagging as Lin and Angel ride on.

The two are kidnapped by imps while Jubei valiantly defends herself against a sudden helldeertard, her panic leading the others to head to the gates to meet her. Seraphim helps the group track down the kidnappers to a hidden meeting area. Here the group meets the underground resistance, composed of Nibelungs and Imps.

After the two forces calm down and talk, the resistance offers the group a vial of liquid, which they promise, if poured into a thing called The Matrix at the Demon Capital, will make it possible for the peaceful demon races to take control of the Demon Realm. The group however, considers pesky things like consequences and the lives of the demons they're friends with, and decides to first hear out the Cadre on what they want, and explore their options.

Upon exiting, the group is attacked by four robed demons, who unleash a spell on Asha. Seraphim pushes Asha aside and takes the blow for her. The group is able to take out two of the escapees before they fly off, but two get away. Kaelan realizes that the effort of healing Seraphim will take a powerful mage and they take her back to the manor.

There, Gale identifies the magick as belonging to a powerful Drude Sorceress and with the aid of Jean, Kaelan and Theric, are able to expunge the dark spell and heal Seraphim. The process involves Asha exposing her demon form and feeding Seraphim her blood, and the group for the first time beholds her demon form, and accepts her fully for who she is.

Arriving at Intersection, Rica's group is let back in after some dialogue and they find Ajan there, alive and lazy. After getting her up, they leave a note for the others who seem to have already gone on with the mission, perhaps assuming them dead, and head after them.

Session 394: Dog Pack

Aurica, Brony, Truth, Rachael and Leruste gather together to discuss what Leruste learned from Parita. Choosing to follow the lead, the group ditches Auna and heads out to a library, Rachael staying behind and keeping Auna busy with attendant duties. Heading to the libraries, the group begins to do research into the history of the Empire and find out a lot of interesting little things.

Phoen and Crim's marriage bore fruit, but after Crim's death and during the rise of the Empire, the Spears seemed to migrate to Neer while Phoen remained with part of the family starting the Autumn-Canaan family, the Spear-Autumn family fading out of the books. After some searching, the group concludes that Phoen may have posed as Autumn when the Alyrites took over. The Canaan family was found to have been behind the rise of the Empire. The Erica's nearly as old, Lin Erica's grandmother was in fact of the Autumn-Erica line, the Autumn part of her name dropped only recently.

The family tree of the Canaan family also starts around the same time as the Virus Outbreak, which was the cause behind the Autumn-Spear family fading out with the death of Arthur Crimson. Aurica remains behind to look further into the mystery of why Phoen became Autumn, and how the Empire came to be, as well as Lin Erica's back story while the rest of the team runs back home to witness the birth of Rachael's child, Nephilim.

Rica's group runs into slavers on their way to meet up with the others, only to find their allies in their carts. A quick and bloody battle occurs, the team taking out the slavers and freeing their friends. Ro'an remarks that she's going to recommend that Revoia let the group go once they return back to base, having proven themselves and also because they're far beyond the point they could effectively hurt Revoia's chances.

In the Demon Realm, the group makes their way out of Drachen, boarding a carriage. People's spirits seem to be getting low, Lucky remarking on how much he misses his wife. Clit remarks on how the Demon Realm has a habit of giving people what they want the most, for better or worse.

The group is forced to camp deep in a mist shrouded wood when the wheel on their carriage breaks. Dimme-Kur creates a circle of protection around the carriage and cautions the group not to leave it before going out to get the wood they need. Dogs howls, and Umi and THeric become very unsettled. Then Lucky begins to hear Lit screaming, and the rest of the group does too, Umi breaks out of the circle and rushes after the sounds, Theric, Jean, Kaelan and Lucky giving chase.

In the camp, Jubei begins to see her mother and eventually goes to talk to her. Rachael Silas echoes the same advice that Kaelan has been giving her, not to dwell on her death and to be happy, to not focus so much on the Mana Egg and just try to live her life.

The group chasing finds a pack of dogs and Umi scares them off Lit. Lucky collects the confused pregnant woman who should be in Ama's Palace, and the group continues after the Markus dogs, whom Umi dominates by making their alpha her bitch in combat. After winning and settling things down, and befriending a good Markus group, they head back, where Kaelan confronts Zegretta, who had started to speak and act like Mercy. While Jubei shares a heartfelt moment with her mother, Kaelan shares one with Mercy speaking through Zegretta. The women fade after they are done, and Kaelan holds Zegretta while Jubei settles back in.

It is then that Dimme-Kur returns and warns the group to be sure those with them are alive, because when the witching hour begins, and the clock strikes midnight, those ghosts who should be passed will become vengeful spirits and stick to the group. Kaelan then brings up everything wrong with Lit's appearance. Finally, they note the lack of activity in her belly. After talking it out, Lit resolves to wait outside the circle, and vanishes into the night. Not knowing if she was simply out of body or a spirit passed, Lucky has to continue on with the one thought of getting back to find her.

The group arrives in Gothika, where they begin to settle into a new mansion, their final stop before the end of their road. Jean finds that Lit's pan she uses to hit things is still with them, and very much real.

Back at Ama's palace, a mid-wife delivers the newborn child of Lit and Lucky to Ama. She explains that the girl had complications, and they did all they could, but they were able to preserve her body hoping the spark of life will return to it.

Meanwhile at the Demon Realm, Tsuki nears the end of a tunnel she's dug through the mountains, Seven and the bodyguard with her. Tsuki makes tracks for the forest, talking about hoping that Yeger was on vacation at the time of Thara's death and she can find what she is seeking as she heads for the forest.

Session 395: Enemy Lines Part 1

Juliet and her people sneak into the city of Elfleid, after posing as Pi's guards. The group helps stop a robbery, earning the happiness of the shopkeeper mew and the room above to stay in. There, they determine that they need disguises to not be recognized and to get their more human looking allies to look much less threatening, perhaps as Catmews or Bunpers.

As the group of Ama's followers look over the corrupted food supplies, they determine the corruption is deeper than they feared. Zuzu starts using her Mystifae to heal Mugi's eyes and Mugi lets her do it. As the group comes up with a plan to use soil from the homeland to try and turn the corruption, Zuzu takes the healing too far and suffers a stroke. The group tries to stablize her and seems to get her to a safe rest, however, Ty begins to speak as though she's dead, just as an enemy ship begins to close in.

Rica's group returns to Seacrest after getting to the surface, Ro'an calling serpent queens. Reunited with their Queens, Ro'an suggests they are ready to be let go from Revoia's care. After some thought, Revoia agrees, only to be surprised as each member of the team, including Mimi and Moira, decide to stay on with the McTreggors.

11.20.2862
After a dream chat with Jean, Wyrd awakens to inform the group that they can touch her to be Marked, and through that, they can be disguised. After little or no hesitation depending, Lia, Juliet, James, Cleo, Urr, Cersei and Maka join the ranks of the Marked. After which, Wyrd passes out for a moment as all the Marked are turned into Catmews, much to Lia's delight. They head out to do the scouting and research they need on the volcano.

Entering the Royal District, they find a riot growing outside the castle protesting the exclusion of Catmews and Bunpers from the Gladiator matches and the new Beauty Pagents in it's place. Avoiding the angry crowd, the group moves into the library and with asking and research find some answers.

They learn the mountain sprang up during the breaking when Gartareh was defeated, and that many elves believed they saw a vision of Aschae telling them it was their time. They chose to interpret this in different ways, and the schism is why the nations of Badelf, Blantress and Ama'dorei were born.

While it becomes apparent that Aschae made a mistake in her wish making at the end of the Godwar, the trouble outside gets even bigger. Nearly a thousand are gathered in front of the castle and it starts to turn violent as the group steps out. Hoko tactically yells "ASCHAE SUCKS!" at the crowd and runs off with Cersei, persued by about a fourth of the crowd. The enemies lessened, a small group moves towards the group and the library they've ducked into, things are about to get messy, and the worst part is, they need to preserve the palace, as it is their only way into the volcanoe.

Session 396: Enemy Lines Part 2

Elisae, Ama'dorei
Over two days, Shoguns Ty and Zuzu, Thomas, Mugi, and the rest of the party sent by the goddess Ama have fought the Umbal insurgents. Zuzu has been slowly recovering from the taxing healing she performed on Mugi. Ty proposes that they leave the port to move inward towards the capital, and in the end they agree to split up. Captain Moiet, likely a descendant of one of Moira and Libet's children getting it on, gets onto the H.H.M.S Bootania and sets off all the gunpoweder on it to sink the Umbal fleet assigned to attack the port. Moiet is rescued from going down with it.

Seacrest
Skarr, Rica and the others are planning to head straight for the capital Anora, Rica wanting this over sooner to limit the amount of carnage. Though there is worry over the fate of their friends if Revoia wins due to her zealous manner in regards to the Gelus family and believing Juliet might not be better.

Mimi finally summons up the courage to speak to her mother on behalf of Juliet, Rica and Ajan adding in their two cents as well. Revoia decides that she will wait until she can see the young princess again before passing her judgment. Ro'an hints at there being one final task the McTreggor lineage is meant to do after Argen was killed.

Elfleid
Hoko and Cersei continue alluding the angry mob chasing them, the rest of the mob attacking the palace and the library. Each group doing their best to escape, Juliet and her posse having a daring leap of faith while Cersei leads Hoko to booze. Grand 'evolves'into a larger form and carries James, his lady and the group away to a much safer point in the city, Hoko rescuing those she needs to, finding out that the Ama'dorei forces are there and attacking.

In the palace Celesia, Saedi, Umi and Neize* Garald, formerly known as Neize Garald, over look the chaos down below. Celesia gives her final standing orders just incase she should not survive to Garald, wanting him to succeed her. Umi suggests they might be better off being political prisoners if they can find Hoko and use that connection to gain at least a form of freedom. Celesia eventually agrees, Umi is the charged to carry Saedi and Celesia to find Hoko, Garald staying back for now despite Umi's wishes.

James and the others arrive to the palace just in time to see Umi leave with her passengers, they press on and find Garald having 'killed' Celesia and now announcing her death to the rioters outside and instating himself as king as well as leaving a trap for the rioters, the party and Garald escape where they confirm that the 'body' was no more than furniture broken and assembled into a shape. With Garald in their company they leave to find the others.

Hoko and Cersei along with their rescued charges find the enforcers, not long after Umi and her passengers arrive as well, Hoko grants those without marks a blanket immunity so the enforcers look after them however they still must split up one to go and find the others, the rest to escape. As they go their separate ways a series of explosions rock both groups, Celesia and Cersei are found missing. The majority of the Enforcers are dispatched to aid the other group, while Mary remains with Hoko and Umi. Genvere and her Enforcers arrive, saving Juliet and the group with her, and the Enforcer's scythe turns into a loli girl with white hair, red eyes, and has Wyrd's overall look, though chewing a medieval type of gum. Genvere hoping to leave, looks to Wyrd, however, Wyrd wanting to find Cersei seal them in on the plan.

Near Kerthal
Those that left with Ty, hurry through the desert, the corruption overwhelming when they notice someone being chased by a corrupted Skurr and a kitsune. Butler,Thomas, Ben and Ken fight against the kitsune and discover the person it was hunting to be the youngest of the Ama'dorei royalty, the princess Chain. Despite her spoiled ways, Ben and Ken are smitten, Ty and Thomas are less than impressed but plan to use the princess to gain access into the capital, after they find a way to gag that bitchy mouth of hers.

Session 397: Enemy Lines Part 3

Elfleid
With the group scattered, the reinforcements note that the fighting is flooding towards them and Genvere presses once again for them to leave the city. As Wyrd takes no action, she takes command of the group, Moira falling into line and after a glare from Genvere, Juliet does as well. Lia however, speaks her mind and tries to remind them all of the urgency with the volcano, Genvere overrules her and sets the group to head out.

On the way they feel a spike in the Mark from Cersei and head towards the city gates to find her.
On the way they encounter a group of Azuha Mercenaries using a dark, deteriorating arte to destroy things. The group strikes out after an Enforcer risks her life to stop them. The group follows Genvere to higher ground while trying to keep the Azuha back. After an excited moment where Wyrd nearly bites it, the group makes it to the rooftops and the mercenaries don't follow.

They head and into the blazing fires of the city. Among the blaze they find bunpers, catmews and orphans. Following the standard code of heroes, they go out of their way to save as many as they can, Lia showing off her new Water Magic to quell the flames. Moving along they narrowly avoid a falling flaming piece of wall and Lia douses that too, allowing them to move along.

Once at the city limits, they eavesdrop on an Ama'dorei Commander who looks over two carts, one holding Cersei and one holding Celesia, he makes it plain both will be executed, and the entire group would be needed to get either one back.

Set with the choice, and the urgency of Cersei's predicament, a death with no trial, the group heads after her. Hesitations rise when they realize they must leave the city walls to save her, Lia especially worried about not being able to go back and save Celesia in time. However, they make the call and leap down to her rescue, the combined might of the Marked with their Enforcer allies
overcoming 30 soliders in no time. They save Cersei and escape, Wyrd making the final call not to fight their way back towards Celesia and attempt her rescue.

Kerthal, Ama'dorei

11.20.2862
An hour later after saving the princess, using the old fake kidnapper ploy, Ty leads the group right up to the gates. The ploy works, and the group is directed to the palace to return the gagged princess. They arrive and a general with only A-Cups is busy torturing the royal family with a scepter over the location of the missing princess.

Princess Chain, when handed over, agrees that she wouldn't mind if her family was executes to she could rule, and General A- Tits sends the family off to their doom. Ty loses her patience and punches the general in the face, and the general answers in kind sending a lop of corruption at Ty.

The group falls into combat with the agents and guards, the general gets a blow in on Ty that attacks her heart, and as the battle calms, Ty is no longer moving. They find the corruption caused worms to tear apart her heart as they burst from her chest. The group continues to clear the corruption and finds the royal family safe, save the King and Queen, who have been killed, it seems Umbal wanted the siblings to battle for the throne.

11.20.2862
Back in Elfleid, the group has spent their time studying the books and trying to get an answer to the volcano, which shows increasing signs of eruption. Genvere does a head count and they find that the mews are gone. With Cleo and Urr missing, the group finds a note saying they went back for Pi and the orphans.

It is then they hear the cheers that signify the death of Celesia. The group reels, especially those few who didn't want to leave. Lia actually breaks into tears and shows her young age once more, but then refocuses on the volcano situation, studying with Juliet.

They wait till evening when they learn that city is reopened and head back to the gate, where they find Umi and Hoko with the General that ordered the executions. He is wary, but once they explain their situation he agrees to let them work on the volcano under the supervision of Umi and Hoko. Belit checks a shelter and finds the kittens with the orphans, Cleo having worse signs of ressurecting someone than she did with Cersei. She says she helped a friend.

The group heads to the palace and pays their last respects to a corpse which appears to be Celesia. Fate, Genvere's Blade, tries to instigate something over their choice not to help, though it's clear as day that they had no chance of saving her had they tried. They head back to regroup and think of what they can do to stop the volcano god.

Elsewhere, Saedi is met by a figure, her face perfect once more, sits with her and wonders when her emotions will returns. Saedi reminds her that there's a risk they may never come back. The ressurected woman seems to consider things, and declares she only owes the catmew now, that she still holds affection for Saedi, and she is now cross with a certain group.

Session 398: Volcano God

Elfleid 11.21.2862

With only a night to rest, Juliet and company must face their grim task of dealing with the volcano. No matter the choice there will be blood. As they set out they can see just how much damage this war was doing, heading towards the library to make their final decision, the volcano explodes with white ash that begins to give off a strange effect when inhaled. They escape the fairy dust by running into the palace, once inside they find a secret passage through a statue, inside they find tomes, treasures as well as their confiscated gear and money. Juliet reads through the tomes and addresses the potential theories of what to do but the answers seem to come out the same; no choice will be without blood, just whose.

With little time left to them they chose to face the volcano and the potential god with in it. A charred tunnel leads them into the volcano, the only way for the majority to bare the heat is through magic buffs that would need to be recast often. As they travel deeper within they spot Hoko's unattached soul, floating angrily. They decide to try then and there to reattach the soul to her body, though they make no mistake that doing so would anger the volcano. So while Cleo chants, Juliet and a few members hurry to deal with the teleporters so they can make a quick escape. When Hoko regains her soul she grabs Cleo, having spent a lot of energy merging body and soul together, and hurries with Wyrd to rejoin the others.

It is then that the volcano god Kagu-Tsuchi rises from the depths, blind with rage due to the corruption he attacks the group, a few enforcers being burnt away, Fate and a few others attempt to fight the chaotic god. Genevire pleads Hoko to contact Amazo due to their family ties, and soon Amazo and their mother Amaterasu appear. Amazo leaps quickly into the fray to fight Kagu only to lose his life. Amaterasu tries to keep Kagu's attention but realizes as long as Kagu is attached to the volcano her own power would be sucked away, likely what did in her own son. Ama manages to lure Kagu from the volcano, the corruption dripping from him and leaving him, revealing a shadow of a man, gaunt and pale. As Ama carries her brother away the group must hurry to escape before the death knells of the volcano destroy them.

As far away as Seacrest, Rica, Mimi and their group are able to see the destruction as the planet shakes from the eruption, prompting them to head to Lightning Tower Town, now drenched in ash. Further south, a ways into Badelf, they find the land gone completely. Only ocean as far as the eye can see.

Juliet and the others all managed to safely escape, some how landing in Blantress. While thankful for the neutrality of the place they now face new problems. Where to go from here, Juliet wanting to get right back into the thick of it, having lost too much time with her abduction, while Genvere wants to take them back to the Goddess Jean. Hoko quietly offers to Juliet to return with her to Amatsune before she attempts to return to her kingdom. While Juliet is steadfast in her decision to face her dangers, she tells Hoko she will consider it.

Session 399: The Truth of the Demon Realm

Jean's group departs Gothika, after 8 days of staying, and seeing a shift in relationships, the group has some degree of tension in the air. The Vampires see them off and the group gets going, conversation turning to Jubei's sexual appetite. Teasing brings out something, that Zegretta and Kaelan have gotten very close, and Jubei drags the Princess to one side to have a talk with her. Kaelan saves Clit from killing herself in her brave attempts to attack Jubei. Lenneth commands her daughter to be a momma's girl till 30.

11.10.2862

About four days from their desination, the group stops at a bridge. Dimme-Kur backs the trolls off and the group sees that the river the bridge crosses is actually a roadway for the aquatic demons of the realm. The group observes a slave running from a city and getting napped and raped by a tentacle monster. Dimme-Kur explains it happens all the time and the pregnancy will force the slave to run back to the city to have it dealt with, Rebecca claiming she's heard the process is actually quite pleasurable, until the birth. Kaelan seems ready to leap out and stop it, but the group moves on.

11.14.2862

The group arrives at what seems a largely unimpressive city. Small, but representing all of the different Cadre and Sects, the place as minimal shops and places to stay. The group is given rooms in what appears to be the Cadre's place, and allowed to wander. Angel nearly gets taken by some Lamashtu, but Jubei bravely gives them some sexual revelations in her place. Chae meanwhile finds a Flavros and gives him treats and pets him while he explains what he is to Lenneth and Seraphim, Theric around as guard dog. The Flavros goes without being compelled to answer any questions just before Kaelan and Zegretta catch up to the group.

11.15.2862

The group spends the day in the city and reunites, Jubei deposited by her spent sexual partners. Rebecca and Hap do battle over the number of sex partnets Jubei had as Dimme-Kur enters from the inner doors of the building to usher them all in. They are seated around a table and provided refreshments, and then, once all gathered, the room begins to decend. The room goes down for minutes, coming out on the true Demonic Realm, a land undeground half again the size of the overworld Demon Realm. The group is led out to a Scurr Queen, as Kaelan so names it, and they ride off at high speeds for their true destination, the real capital of the true Demonic Realm.

After learning that the tentacle monsters are kept around for their milk, the group passes the Akhkhazu, and are assaulted with visions of the sexiest woman they've each ever wanted. Some are wholly unaffected, being right next to that person already, others however are either disturbed to see those visions or allured by them. Angel and Lessa needing to be saved.

Passing through the mirror of the dark forests above, the group passes through the realm of the Malevoy, seeing visions in the darkness of people and shapes, reflections of elves and humans somewhere in a war, being twisted by darkness. The group is spared, unknowingly, from seeing something this reflection would show them on the 21st, a horrible day up above.

11.20.2862

The group arrives at the true seat of the Cadre. Here they pass through a massive, empty outer city into an inner city filled to the brim with high class looking demons, even the imps dressed like kings. As they head to Dimme-Kur's mansion they are given sight of the core of the Demonic Realm, the Dark Leyline itself a pillar in the center of the city. They soon learn the pillar itself is considered the very heart of the demon realm, and it seems no one but the Cadre knows it by name. Kaelan recalls what the rebellion called it before: The Matrix. Soon they will see Asmodeus, the Cadre, learn of why they were brought there and have to decide what to do with the vial.

Session 400: Demonic Resonance

The group sits waiting in the final moments before they are expected to be seen by the Demonic Cadre. Steeling themselves, the group winds up missing a chance to raise some marks, but gathers themselves to follow when their escort arrives, everyone going together, the kids refusing to be left behind. The group travels into the rather organic entrances and hallways into the chambers of the Cadre, seeing scenes that depict the Angelic War along the way, and evidence that the denizens of the realm give responsibility for their existance to the Angel and her Followers, who freed them from the underground during the Angelic War.

Just as they find a mural depicting them also responsible of the weakened and corrupted state of Tareh, they find themselves in the massive chamber of the Cadre, where they meet the leaders of the Demon Realm. Dimme-Kur, of course, is there, as well as Malthus the Vampire, Milcom the Moloch, Mephistala and Shenheiser of the Malvoy, Leeshah of the Rakshashi and Wiendigo of the Wiendigo. The group of Cadre members begin to question the group as if putting them on trial for the state of Tareh, when things begin to boil a little, Asmodeus speaks. Revealing himself from the shadows, he explains the state of Tareh, that something has been stealing the mana from the leylines and the planet growing weak, and his plan to use the Rune Blade to lock out the access of others from the leylines.

Rather than oppose, the group, ultimately Jubei, decides to lend him the blade once forged to perform the task for his own leyline. The group is led out towads the column itself and the Matrix, which proves to be more than just a simple housing of power.

In Yi, Juliet's group gets ready to board the carriage, the majority of the group seems to have decided to leave Pi in the care of others and to find a family amongst them, as where they go is too dangerous for a child. Lia puts up a fight about it, telling Pi that if she can't find anything to head to a nearby Tower Clinic for housing and maybe even to go to the Mason Tower itself. As the rest say their goodbyes and leave her with gold to go on her way, a sad goodbye, covered in the ashes of the volcano blast, fades out of sight.

The group leaves Pi behind and moves on, and the girl gives the gold to the needy before moving on herself, alone into the world.

Taiga reminisces about how time has unfolded, and how as a child she saw two lives, one of happiness and innocence, and the other of that innocence lost and all around her death and carnage, the latter replacing the former when the adults of the Prime reality vanished years ago. She reveals that she has guarded herself and built up the team because she knows of an element coming which will cause that terrible future, and knows that only she and her Zodiacs will be able to stop it, the adults blind to it coming.

Training finishes up, some of the Zodiacs showing off their newfound Zodiac Powers, Ako and Iko able to combine into one being, Si'Chii able to create a pyro tunnel, Jam able to share a psychic rapport of sorts with the group, and Xander able to lower the guard of others. And the group moves out to have fun and spend time with each other. Taiga continues to reminisce as a pizza party turns into a water fight, realizing that maybe she can't change everything about the future, but she can at least change what she can.

11.21.2862

The pillar rises, and the group comes to the Matrix, where they are ultimately given the choice to use the vial or not, unbeknownst to the Cadre, but hold off. Dimme-Kur takes the sword pieces and ore and after it's worked by Jean, leaving her drained, the demon begins to reforge the sword. As the group begins to ask about the situation with Tareh, the rebellion attacks in the form of rabid angry Rakashisha. The group winds up working in tandem with the Cadre to fight back and drive the resistance away, taking some damage as they do. This seems to earn them friendship with the Cadre, and Asmodeus reveals his plans.

Using the Rune Blade, Dimme-Kur has made a copy purely of Dark mana, and using Dark Mana in it's rune slots. With that, they begin to key up the Matrix. Kaelan deems the blade the Dark Blade and the name sticks. Asmodeus reveals why he needs the blade, to remove the Runes from the Angel herself. Asmodeus reveals that at that moment, Badelf is being destroyed by the volcano and it is that event which leads Jean Al'ryl to begin the campaign that shatters the world. This revelation causes Future Jean to recall her purpose in coming back, to prevent the destruction of Badelf in the first place. Seeing her mission has already failed, she reels. And the lie of Asmodeus comes out as Lessa sees the flaw in his plans. There is more to simply taking the runes, it would kill Jean in the process, and the pillar is more than a simple cap on the Dark Leyline.

El steps forward to confirm this, and Asmodeus reveals more. He plans to save all of Tareh by reaching out to a long forgotten power somewhere in the Glittering. He means to find the entrance to Centerpoint using the Leylines and the Runes and take control of reality, reshaping Tareh and making a world for Demon Kind. It comes down to this, and knowing that they cannot allow him to kill Jean, or possibly stop other means of saving Tareh and it's people to reach his goals, the group resolves that it must oppose Asmodeus and his Cadre.

As Asmodeus ends all hopes of finding a peaceful way with him by reasoning that fate can't possibly be changed, the group enters into combat with Asmodeus, and the Cadre slips away with the Dark Blade to continue their work. Asmodeus declares however, that if he loses, he has ordered that the group be allowed to leave in peace, whether or not the surviving Cadre honors that however, is in question. The group begins to work in tandem to fight what amounts of a god of Demonkind.

Athena begins her massive family concert, even the Nues and Mizukazes brought into the mass, only Miyuki and Kasha missing from the roster, currently away on mission. Songs are sung and people are entertained, as Cheryl begins to feel strange and as though something is off.

11.21.2862

The group continues their battle with Asmodeus, facing his barrier and the power of the Matrix as they continue to fight, scoring blows and taking blows in return, they fight on, combining abilities into attacks as they fight the Demon King. Kaelan bursts through his barrier with her strength and knocks Asmodeus into the air, Lucky's shots knocking him higher, as something very strange begins to happen, a concert appears in the sky as Dark Energy fires out from the Matrix, a concert visible above.

Athena begins a song about dancing with the enemy as Cheryl begins to feel even worse, the incredible offputting forcing her to move off stage.

11.21.2862

It becomes clear to the group that a side effect of the Matrix is strain on the barrier of time placed by Aschae and Lorelei. As they continue to fight, Vampires join the fray and the group must juggle Asmodeus and knocking back the bloodsuckers at the same time. As this happens, Asha's Drude stalker shows up to take a cheap shot, she dodges it and begins to return the fight in kind. The battle moves in three directions as things grow even more unstable.

As Athena continues her song, Vampires spring up inside the concert hall, however, this is a bad place to be when the PAX Core, the EarthGov Military, the KU and the Zodiacs are all present. The Vampires recieve a sound thrashing from members of the performance and audience alike, and Cheryl realizes what she was feeling, a tear in reality itself.

11.21.2862

El sees her mothers above as the group continues on and only fights harder. As the group battles to the amazing tunes of an ancient songstress, the battle reaches a new headway. The Vampires falling back, Angel is rocked a little too off her kilter and snaps, filled with energy, she begins to kick ass, take names, and invent bubble gum in order to not have any. As Asmodeus strains to keep up with repeated attacks, the barrier around the Matrix begins to fail and alarms sound. Realizing they have little choice but to destroy it, Umi and Jean resolve to do so.

At that moment, Kaelan finally exhausts her Mana and falls back, and Asmodeus lunges. Zegretta leaps in the way of the attack and takes the sword through her middle. Kaelan and Lucky stumble him away with attacks and Jubei passes the Rune Blade off to Kaelan, she and Jubei putting their all into trying to save Zegretta. As the two are distracted, El rejoins the fight and she begins to attack the barrier keeping Asmodeus coming back again and again as Theric holds him. Kaelan unwittingly draws magik from Jean just as she needs it. Jean stumbles as she readies to blow the machine and Asha helps her towards it. El blasts the shield and the explosion that it causes destroys El in the process, leaving Asmodeus standing, but no longer guarded.

Kohna moves to join Jean as Jean prepares to blow the Matrix and the group concentrates attacks on Asmodeus, rending him asunder now that he cannot guard against it. Angel walks up and blows his brains out just as Jean blows the Matrix and the world quickly begins to fill with white as the explosion seems to take them all, Kohna quickly covering herself, Jean and Umi at the epicenter.

10.31.2862

Tsuki, weeks before, arrived in the Demon Realm unable to find the soul of her loved one in the forests. Seeing only one possibility, she leads her group deeper into the Demon Realm, trailing behind the party.

11.21.2862

Just as all seems lost, a silver light erupts and blasts the group away from the epicenter, saving them. They find Tsuki with Seven and the Bodyguard, and soon after, Jean, Umi and Kohna walk out of the destruction. As they begin to realize the battle is over, they learn in fact such suppositions are only for those who are not in a climactic finale and a power of some sort bursts from the remains of the Matrix and begins to animate and rebuild the body of Asmodeus. The mad creature made of hyperspace is identified as Erevis. Tsuki rells them they have to calm her and help her heal before running off to chase one of the Cadre, who turns out to be Thara reborn into a demonic body. Tsuki begins to strain Tareh itself to restore Thara to her body, and the world shakes.

The group manages to talk Erevis down and calm her, long enough for the Bodyguard to use Kaelan's shield as a mirror with which to summon Ama. Ama calms and heals Erevis, revivifying her mind, and helping her adjusts to her new demony god body. As the place begins to collapse, Ama begins to bring them all back to her palace, but at that moment, Seraphim is snatched and the mirror in use is taken and poor Kaelan must get a new shield. The Cadre remaining make off with the Dark Blade as well. With El dead, Seraphim gone, Jean wounded and the Dark Blade gone, the victory comes tinged with sorrow and regrets, however, the day is won.

The group reunites with loved ones, Jean and Umi back with their kids, Lucky able to visit the comatose Lit and meet his son, Kaelan and Zegretta reunited with Fi'anna, lastly, Ama reunited with her Erevis, in a sexy new male demon body.
