Charles Leblake was an orphanged kid after his parents died due to a robbery gone bad. Sia Mason's father took him in and gave him a job working various ships for him and he quickly gained the attention and respect of her father. Assigned to more and more critical shipping jobs, he was pulled off after Sia's father began to worry about her disappearance and sent him out to find her. Eventually he succeeded and became her bodyguard and protector.

Over time the two became close and became lovers; despite the fact Sia and her twin Mia are close, Charles and Sia share a special union that even Mia isn't part of. Now he will do anything to protect Sia, even from the Angel and the dangers that follow her.
