Mercy was the King of Navarro's personal maid; her duties included doing whatever was required by the King - including serving his guests in whatever manner they wanted (even if that desire was for sex) - and cooking and cleaning. When the team met her, she seemed 'happy' with her place in the Kingdom, having nothing bad to say about her master, and willing to do whatever the team wanted of her - no matter how farfetched it may be.

It was only later that the team learned that if they asked her to go walking with them to see the Glittering, that Mercy had no emotions about it - only obeying because she was 'ordered' or if not ordered, anticipating the person's needs by agreeing. Finally having enough, the Angel placed a mark on Mercy and took away some of the shields she had placed in her mind and the memories of what had happened to her. Finally, Mercy began to show emotions, however little they may be, and seems to be traveling with the group more readily, having declared Zeal her new master, on Azhren's behest.

However, as time wore on and Kaelan Di'Neer took an interest in her, first wanting to learn how to sex Jean by having Mercy teach her, Kaelan ended up falling in love with her and devoted her life to Mercy, ending up marrying her. The Angel, to give them blessing, got Mercy pregnant with a child from both Kaelan and Mercy, claiming she added cute ears and a tail though.

Eventually Mercy learned she was the half-sister to King Arcane of Nuege, and was treated as a maid (and had sex with) in order to keep her alive from their father since Mercy's mother was also a maid. Once Arcane died, Mercy was brought back to Nuege and found that he had set up a plan to say she was his true sister and sent off abroad to learn. Now she is Queen of Nuege, with Kaelan and Lenneth aiding her, and Lenneth has set up a barrier to keep the gods out, though Phoen was invited in and now can enter whenever.
