Armor

About the Armor:

Armor is the life blood of your character from taking hits. It mostly comes into play in Boss Battle Mode, but sometimes in Free Form Mode things will come use armor. It defends you from enemy hits. First I will list the types of armor:

Legendary - 2 Def

Mystic - 3 Def

Transcendant - 4 Def

Exotic - 5 Def

Supreme - 6 Def

God - 7 Def

Reality - 10 Def

Some Armor might have special properties and if you discover it in sessions or at The Guild otherwise, it is just the standard defense.

Amount of Armor:

Second, you can only equip two pieces of armor on your character. You can equip up to four pieces of armor, but there are some things you need to know.

A character's strength determines how many pieces of armor they can hold. A 7 Strength armor can hold 4 pieces of armor. A 5 Strength character can have 3 pieces of armor. And of course all characters can have 2 pieces of armor.

However, any character can have extra armor at a speed penalty. Depending how close one is to the Strength stat is how much the Speed penalty will be to wear a piece of armor. So a 4 Strength Character will have a minus Speed stat to wear 3 pieces of Armor.

Armor in Combat:

The armor is meant to help buffer how much damage you take in combat. Say you have two pieces of Transcendent Armor (8 Def) and take a 10 Attack. You will basically take 2 Damage. However all pieces of armor that have been damaged OVER their Def number will drop by 1 until the armor breaks. Attacks that go through the armor now are more deadly with this new system.

Items

Items have also been overhauled a little. Due to the fact Armor has it's own thing on character sheets, Items now have their own thing on the Character Sheet as well. You start off with 3 Item Slots (which includes Weapons). 2 extra slots can be unlocked with time as they go. I might let players buy slots in session or have them be unlocked through level ups, or other means. Due to this, characters can no longer just keep pulling objects out of their butts all the time unless it's in their Item bag or something close to it. So it is something to keep in mind when making their Item loadout.
