Session 61: Pre-Division Act I: Tugging at the Strings
Prelude: 10-592.1.5
Iceheart and Freyja separate from the Kitty Voyager in unknown space in order to harvest a strange, rare ore which Iceheart believes will make them a fortune, as they work out negotiations to keep the ore, something odd happens. Freyja senses a strange power which seems to suppress and eat ki around it while Iceheart becomes visibly disturbed by something. Freyja sees a strange man in a trench coat, ki shining in his eyes, Freyja wants to investigate but Iceheart drags her to the ship and away, wanting to flee from a bad feeling. As they try and escape, a strange, silver ship appears before their own ship and scans them, letting them go. Iceheart sets a course back to Cartel space, filled with dread.

Iceheart meets with Loki in her palatial estate on a Cartel world. Over fine booze they discuss the situation as Iceheart saw it, and she explains how she feels this force will be a definite threat to the Cartel. She requests that Shiva be sent out to the PAX, her feelings are that something is about to happen there and Shiva's ability to gleam the future may come in handy. She herself intends to head to PAX to deal with something, or someone, before going out on her own again. Loki agrees to send out Shiva, knowing better then to question Iceheart when she's in this state.
Present Date:
Early morning arrives on the PAX and Megumi is cooking breakfast. Jennifer rises early and comments to herself that Megumi must be improving if the house isn't on fire. This earns her a near knife throw from Meg as she enters the kitchen, timidly Jen offers to help her set the table. As the two get the meal ready, Chad contacts Meg by way of the family datapad, asking about Isis' well being. She didn't check out of work and her work station appears to be untouched, according to Chad, so Jen moves to investigate her room, hoping to see the girl simply resting due to sleep deprivation. To her surprise she discovers Isis' room unused, but her datapad sitting on the dresser. Finding an encoded message on it, she brings it out to Megumi, Ao, hearing that Isis is missing, takes the datapad and heads for the bridge to give it to Aya, Megumi follows her, leaving Jennifer to care for the babies.
Leyaeh, already up for hours running security on her own due to the absence of Xanatos Durran, passes the time by swapping messages with her niece and watching the ship wake. When she inquires about anything going on, she finds CHIP putting her on hold. As the commotion rises on the bridge as Ao asks Aya (or rather demands) her to decode the datapad, Leyaeh heads to the bridge in time to see the ship go nuts as Aya uses CHIP to try and decode it. A virus attacks the ship, doing on very specific damage, a corruption and deletion of CHIP from the ship's systems, effectively killing the AI. The datapad finally does decode, informing everyone who can see it that Isis was threatened into leaving the datapad and going off to a Cartel colony. The threat was very simple, they have her mother, the older Erevis from the future. Before them is an image of a bound and gagged Erevis, looking all too real to deny. Leyaeh heads back to security to step up the alert to the staff, without CHIP, the ship is left with far less security then it had before and it couldn't happen at a worse time. The crew resolves to continue it's trip into Atlean territory, while Meg plans to take the Kitty Voyager to go after Isis.
Meanwhile on Earth, Lemon and Tabetha escort a new recruit into the base. Nadia is brought onto the base, a new soldier who has been noted for her dedication to her work, a quality Cheryl is desperately searching for with the staff as they currently are. Key greets them and begins to sew her usual chaos, Tabetha gives Nadia a tour of the base and starts to fill her in on the unit while Cheryl and Chii spend some quality tome together after waving off the attentions of Key. A short time afterwards alarms go off signaling the team to assemble. Three NGDs have been killed while they were attacking a base, causing tremendous damage, two more brought in for questioning. Cheryl sets Chii and Ariel to stay at home with Lorelei while she takes the team out to the scene of the battle, she also sends YZ and Key on a secret mission to break the two other NGDs free and bring them to a secure location.
At the base Tabetha pales at the sight of three of her people ripped to shreds on the ground, their pilots dead nearby. Cheryl surveys the scene and considers the circumstances, John takes Nadia down below into the base to find the hard drives, since the security cameras and equipment were all destroyed. Back at the mansion, Ariel and Chii play Jenga when their game is interrupted by Ariel's datapad and Lorelei's tail. Ariel finds a message with the Guardian's, Ariel's people, asking her to join them at the Guardian home world and take up her position as the leader in the fight against the NGD injustices. Ariel considers, then deciding that she might be able to guide the situation into a peaceful one, decides to go, she bids Chii and Lorelei farewell, hoping this will mark the beginning of a brighter future for her family.
Meanwhile, Tabetha tries to sort out her feelings, torn between anger that her people would betray Earth in such a way, and sickened at the sight of her extended family members dead before her. Cheryl struggles with her own anger as Chii informs her of Ariel's actions, agreeing with Chii on just how bad a move that could be. She does her best to contain her anger for what is to come next. As the bodies are secured, Cheryl and Tabetha move over to question the soldiers.
On board the PAX, a delegation of Megumi, Ao and Zephyr stand firm as they make sure Erevis does not leave after Isis, assuring her they'll do it and that the PAX keeps on course and mission. Jennifer tries her best to comfort Athena and the babies, while she herself seems to be lacking in confidence. Aya and Paladin meet in the bar and Paladin informs Aya of Eve's misfortune, they agree to go together after her.
Aya totally told Chad.
Naone struggles to keep up running the bar as a wonderful waitress and Leyaeh breaks for a short time in her vigil, leaving it to the other officers as she gets them all food. Dawn meets up with Aya, and after seeing a vision of Aya's death, attempts to prevent her from going, instead ending up agreeing to go with her to protect her from the fate he foresees. Billy and Elwyn learn of Iceheart's plans, she intends to head out to Ark, they agree to follow her out there on their own ship, Elwyn worried for her future mother. Katrina gives out a simple warning for them to take care, too much is happening at once, it simply can't be a coincidence.
Session 62: Pre-Division Act II: Political Turmoil

After a very tense night in the mansion following the investigation, everyone tries to relax a little and get a load off their minds. Cheryl, having returned from secret business out on her own, seems all the more tired and disheveled. She opens her bond up after an evening of silence and her rising anger and frustration is so palpable that Lorelei begins to cry from it, and it surprises Chii. Cheryl blocks the anger and seems to calm when she sees her wife and daughter again. Down below in the mansion, Tabetha slumps towards depression over the idea that her people are slowly going insane. John attempts to comfort her and talk her through it, while Lemon keeps herself busy, surprised when Key and YZ pop out of a cabinet on her. Nadia joins in the conversation with John and Tabetha, and they begin to suspect something more then a drive for rebellion is affecting the NGDs. John announces he's been assigned to go pick up Peter Sullivan, now healed from his wounds that he got in a house bombing a couple weeks prior. When Tomoe shows up wielding a knife, John valiantly runs away from the knife wielding baby to go get Peter, Tabetha runs after him when Tomoe decapitates a stuffed bear samurai.
On the PAX, Athena sits sadly on the stage before her concert, feeling depressed about having to sing when Isis is in such danger. Jennifer sits with her and tries to cheer her up, encouraging her to give it her best for the good of everyone around them, the fans, and to spread love and happiness about the station. The attempts seem to be going poorly with Naone Cridhe shows up to give Athena a pre-show cheer. Athena brightens instantly in the presence of a fan and insists she join them on stage for the performance, dragging Naone into the dressing room with Jen to get ready. While they change, Kyun shows up to give Athena a customary pre-show flirting. He inquires to the two other girls about who they are and if they know Athena. Jennifer introduces herself and Naone, respectfully, and Kyun nods in approval at the three, promising to see them again sometime after the show.
John and Tabetha return to the mansion with Peter, who seems back to his old self and quite cheerful to be back on base. Tabetha quickly becomes busy in tackling and talking to Nadia while Peter finds himself treated well with a feast from the warm ovens of Lemon's cooking. While he shows his appreciation to the golden haired maiden, Nadia and Tabetha run into another golden haired maiden in the form of Cheryl. As Nadia starts to fill her on on her theories on what's going wrong with the NGDs, Lorelei gets herself into trouble in the form of driving off with yet another motorcycle. Chii rushes desperately to her rescue, the distraction has Cheryl toss the two her datapad with all the NGD research information on it while she goes to save her daughter. Nadia and Tabetha learn of the odd behavior that the NGDs exhibited before the attacks, including actions that point to brainwashing. They learn of two NGDs built separately from the others, the Gemini, a pair of Dragoon Twins who were created out in the Hawaiian isles. Tabetha's own file states only what the girl already knew, she was a defect model, considered useless for combat due to low testing scores, despite this, she was requested for Cheryl's unit. Tabetha read on to discover a note from Cheryl, stating that she believes Tabetha can be more and how she actually admires the girl's innocence, partially flattered and partially enthused, Tabetha resounds her resolve to grow into a stronger dragoon and find herself.
The details on the information come together with what Cheryl has to say when Nadia and Tabetha consult her, Cheryl believing there is value into looking into the scientists who created the Gemini, as they are the last known, active laboratory to create NGDs. Planning a trip for Hawaii the following day, the team gets ready for a day at the beach, and a day delving further into the mystery of the Dragoons.
On the Guardian Colony, Ariel meets with the elder council, they discuss what they intend to do with an EarthGov fleet amassing to blockade the colony. Ariel attempts to talk them out of any further violence, succeeding with surprising ease, the council amazingly interested in following the woman's orders. They warn that the Earthlings may break the tension first however, and send Ariel off to the PAX, in hopes they can use her influence with Erevis to help them get recognized independence and galactic support against Earth's actions. Ariel follows along with quiet resolve.
Athena, Naone and Jennifer rock out in the final part of the concert, singing and dancing to Athena's kitten song. The crowd goes wild, tossing stuffies and cheering for more. Enthused by such fun, the girls bow and head offstage, where they are greeted by Erevis. Masking her worry, Erevis invites the three home for a celebration party and sleep over, wanting them safely out of the way in case any more trouble brews.

It's late at night, or early morning, Athena awakens from her slumber atop Jennifer and Naone and peers into the distance worriedly looking outward. Jennifer's hand moves up to soothe her, the girl apparently not asleep either. The two hear some noise from Erevis room and sneak to investigate, finding Erevis finishing a call with someone. Athena bounds in to give her mother affection, leaving Jenny to drag Naone to the bed with them. The four girls join Erevis with Ako and Iko asleep on the bed as well, Erevis' conversation ending with her saying she'll go to meet the Guardian Delegation with Ariel right away, if she can find a babysitter. The girls of course offer their services and Erevis leaves them to it, she move out to speak with Ariel.
Jennifer, easily putting together how much trouble Ariel being with the Guardians can be, calls Cheryl, who is at that moment getting ready to head off with the team to Hawaii. Jennifer asks how she is and tells her what's going on, and after being reassured that Cheryl is okay, promises to fill her in on what's going on with the PAX through Lemon later, since she's going on mission. Cheryl ends the conversation with a mutual, meaningful goodbye with her former charge, and the two hang up. Cheryl informs the team that they'll have time to party before seeing the scientists, and they gets ready to leave, only after Key is heavily accosted by Tabetha and Nadia, and YZ falls prey to ticklish retribution. The party in good spirits, they move out.
Aya, Paladin, and Dawn approach the Guardian Colony on a small ship, heading to investigate into Eve. Paladin informs them that the colony has claimed it's independence, and trouble is brewing, they have to land fast and get what they need, even then the man expects trouble. Trouble indeed seems to be brewing for the three, when Dawn has a future vision about Fiore, his previously thought to be dead twin sister. Aya and Dawn agree they'll face the situation coming on them together, as a couple.
Iceheart and Freyja are enroute when Iceheart pops the question, asking Freyja to marry her and be her wife. The two embrace, as suddenly warnings go off as a ship decloaks outside their own, and their world turns into shaking and sudden, terrible darkness. Elwyn and Billy come out of hyperspace after them to find Iceheart's vessel crashing down towards the colony where Iceheart grew up, a ship retreating, starting to cloak. They try to scan it but find obstacles in their path. Billy feels out for Freyja and the two steer their ship after the fallen couple. They move in to save the day.
Session 63: Pre-Division Act III: Women Led to the Fall of Paradise
The team finishes a beach side trip before heading over to the Dragoon Gemini labs. As they gather things up a hawk swoops out of the air to snatch up Lorelei. Key uses her save point to snatch the child to safety and Peter the hawk out with a stun shot. After a moment the group heads on out to the labs. There they are greeted by the sight of a red haired beauty in the distance surfing. Disembarking from the shuttle they meet up with Dr. Ferah Dalton, a scientist who worked on the NGD project and took personal responsibility on the Gemini Dragoons, accompanying her is her nephew, Isaac Gray. Cheryl begins to question Ferah over the possibility of an Omega Dragoon that could be affecting the NGDs. The group works out the impossibility of a genetic control based on the fact that the NGDs do not have a common genetic donor like the Alpha Dragoons did, a different Guardian and a different Human per NGD was used. However, Ferah brings up the commonality in the DNA between all creatures of a certain species and how that presents another window. As they talk about this broad possibility and the idea that some sort of infection or catalyst might be used, Cheryl begins to act groggy and tired, getting close to passing out.
As she draws looks of concern, questions are quickly cancelled out as the red haired surfer from earlier attacks Cheryl from above, tackling her down, met with the immediate threat of most of those with guns leveling it at the red head, including Tabetha who drops her air of cheeriness for a blank, but deadly look, shoving a gun in the girl's face. The girl turns out to be Curali, one of the two Gemini units, after Cheryl tosses her off, thing calm, though Curali demands a match with Cheryl. When she doesn't get her way she shifts the challenge to Tabetha, who declines at Cheryl's order not to fight. When Tabetha offers Curali a victory cookie, she's saved from accidentally insulting the Gemini by Eluere. The Blue coloured Dragoon informs the Red that the NGD is simple, and means nothing by the offer, Gray seems worried as he confirms the fact. Cheryl continues her questions as to an Omega Unit, giving a nod to Nadia for her idea. Nadia in the meantime listens and observes, taking in all the information and trying to process it. Cheryl in the end decides to bring the Gemini along for the rest of the missions involving the NGDs, as they are the least likely of all the NGDs to become infected.
The girls seem hesitant at first to join, afraid of being used or controlled, strongly independent. While Cheryl talks to the two, Tabetha cheerleads, trying to show them that her leader wouldn't steer them wrong, Nadia argues with Eluere over wrong and right, and Peter attempts to act as a voice of reason. In the end all of this is forgotten when a call comes in on Cheryl's emergency line. Picking up, she hears Lemon delivering bad news.
The base was attacked, someone rippled NGDs into the base. Lemon is injured, the group races on board the shuttle and rushes to her rescue, the twins getting on board with the team. Tabetha takes over the call to talk to Lemon and the group tries to sort out what happened. They learn that Dias, Kaleb, and Tomoe were taken, Cole was seemingly destroyed and his parts taken away, and to make matters worse, it seems Raquel was the cause of it all, lowering security and rippling in the enemy. They arrive to find Lemon and treat her wounds, and investigate the security vids to figure out what happened. Between Nadia and Eluere they piece together the events and call an all clear on the mansion. The group begins to try and recover from a terrible blow.
Meanwhile, at the Guardian colony, Aya, Dawn and Paladin arrive and begin their tracking of Eve. They begin their investigation at the shuttle that Eve seems to have abandoned and find clues leading them to her hotel. They also find information on the fruit that Eve was negotiating over, it was previously only native to Ark Colony, but because of how close Ark and the Guardian colony are, the fruit found it's way to the world by trade. They arrive to find that Eve checked in and left, never returning. They decide this means she was taken after going out, and go to investigate her room. As Dawn approaches, his flashes of Fiore grow heavier, sensing her half dressed and in danger. He steps into the room with Aya to find his sister, alive and well, strapped to the bed, having been used and abused it would seem. Standing in their way is Carlos Donati, a madman who seems out for revenge against Alligheri, Dawn quickly realizes this man must be from Roma, a victim of all that happened during the psionic amplification incident. While he pities the man, Carlos rants how his gods knew that Dawn would come here, that if he helped them with the other women, he would get his chance at getting to Dawn.
The man's psionic power leaks in his rage, he lifts up Aya, getting ready to tear her apart when Dawn delivers an elbow blow to Carlos' face, knocking him out. Fiore recovers, looking in surprise at Dawn's sudden strike, Aya falls, then rises again, despite Carlos being out of it. A winged being fades into view, Aya suddenly writhes as if in pain, then falls over dead. The being declares his goal, he's come for Dawn, and if he wants the soul of his loved one back, he must do as the being commands. He must go through hell and back for Aya's life.
Session 64: Pre-Division Act IV: Innocence Lost
The divine figure offers the descendant of Dante 12 hours to set his affairs in order, run whatever tests he likes on Aya, and to prepare for the challenge. He promises that Dawn will see the actual Hell in his journey, and that his gifts will be used to further the plans of the gods. Fiore offers to take Aya's place, Dawn doesn't even find this a possibility as he prepares his now dead wife, having some time to make his decision.
Megumi sits on a shuttle with Zephyr and Ao, as they attempt to track down Isis' location through the legal channels. After some scolding from Megumi, Ao manages to do this on a slightly more professional level then demanding it from the poor traffic officers. As they continue their work, Gem contacts Megumi screaming about having lost her connection to the Famfrit colony, demanding to be given a way to get there to save it. Her mind grating, Megumi realizes she must make a choice between tracking her daughter or going to help her people. Megumi leaves Ao and Zephyr in charge of the hunt for Isis and she and Noname take a shuttle from the Kitty Voyager, planning to rendezvous with Gem before they head out to the colony.
On the PAX, Jennifer, Athena and Naone are spending time with Erevis after she gets back from dealing with Ariel, Jennifer having returned as well after helping Ariel to settle in. Gem comes storming in demanding a shuttle and makes quick with explaining the situation, declaring that Megumi gave her permission to go. Erevis takes a moment to consider this and steps out to get the keys. The girls question Gem about her actions, Jennifer warning that this happening right now points to it being a trap to lure more people away from the PAX, Gem however is resolved to help her people even at the cost of her own life. Athena seems unhappy about another leaving while she's stuck on the ship, and after Gem storms out to go on her own, Athena excuses herself a moment. Jennifer, thinking that Athena may have slipped out to go be a hero, heads after her, upon not finding her in the kitchen, and the door ajar, she goes racing off to the hangar bay to catch up with them.
Naone, fidgeting and feeling left behind, gets told by Erevis that she can accompany them and races after Jennifer. Jennifer arrives at the hangar to find Gem's shuttle already starting and leaps aboard, moving to try and stop Gem from racing away with Athena possibly on board. Naone boards at the last second and Jennifer pulling off Gem's headset startles the girl as she's pulling out of the station and she hits the hyperdrive. The shuttle leaves, and Jennifer discovers a few moments later that Athena is still on the PAX. The two girls panic, much to Gem's annoyance. Athena ends the call with her sister by declaring she will come and save Jennifer and Naone herself. Jennifer slumps down to consider the ramifications of what just happened, dreading Leyaeh's reaction when she finds out her niece was kidnapped, even inadvertently. Gem expresses her abandonment issues, which melts Jennifer's resolve to rush back home. She agrees that Gem will need a doctor on this rescue mission and assures the girl she's not going to abandon her. Naone meanwhile explores the shuttle, realizing her dreams of space travel a little earlier then expected.
Later that night, at the base, Cheryl rises from relaxation time with Chii to carry on work, her dutiful wife attempting her best to keep her in bed. Chii finds this difficult as Cheryl is just as headstrong as ever in doing what she wants. Nadia continues her research on the Dragoons, with Curali keeping her company in the lounge, the two talk and get to know each other better while Nadia works. Tabetha wanders into the hangar bay after a nightmare, clutching a stuffie like a child, only to find Zephyr looking over Cole's motorcycle. The two begin to talk, Tabetha encouraging Zephyr and confessing her admiration of Zephyr and her independence, the two girls decide to help one another become stronger. Tabetha encourages Zephyr to bond with Key, and the two have ice cream before Zephyr slips off to do so. Peter joins Nadia and Curali in the lounge and the three talk, Peter explains much of the heavy air around the base and ends up talking Curali out of challenging Tabetha to any matches while the girl is depressed over the loss of her teammates. Nadia and Peter's flirting leading to questions from the inquisitive Dragoon about mating, which after a soaking wet prank from Eluere, somehow evolves into a trip to the showers for the three, where Peter and Nadia embrace.
Session 65: A House Divided Act I: The Plot Thickens
The Little Kitty Shuttle is setting out to have dinner when they near the rendezvous point with the Kitty Voyager. Jennifer and Gem greet Megumi and fail miserably to keep the fact that Ako has stowed away with them a secret. Megumi calmly (as in, not killing them) takes this fact in as the shuttle, which becomes disabled due to Gem overusing the engines to make double speed to the point, is pulled in. Gem and Jen try to explain how it all happened, Jennifer taking the blame and the jab as Megumi calls her a child.
The group tries to contact Erevis again, finding out what Jen did only a short while beforehand in that all communications to the PAX are now cut off. Megumi attempts to get Zephyr to bounce the message, however their distance seems too great. This is when Gem chides Jen into using her own connection to try and communicate, Jennifer slips away from the conversation to go to sleep. Gem blurts out the idea that Jennifer and Athena have formed a mental bond and can communicate in their dreams. Megumi decides not to pry due to respecting Athena's private life, and the ship begins to make its way to Famfrit territory, unable to return the kids to safety as they go out to rescue a colony.
On Earth, the team rouses after a very interesting evening of forging new bonds, in some cases quite literally, and others in more interesting ways. YZ and Key rise from bed in Key's room, the two filled with joy as they declare they're bonded to one another, a result of a conversation the previous night between Zephyr and Tabetha. Tabetha stalks Lemon in the kitchen and works to cheer her up with her usual child like antics while Peter and Nadia arise from bed, having spent the night together. John steps into the kitchen happy as can be after taking a goddess to heaven, and leans soon he'll have to ask Peter about Mother Russia.
The team mingles at breakfast, Curali and Eluere join the crew and Peter mistakes Zephyr for someone else, not used to her adult form. The crew finishes eating fast however, to make it in time for a meeting set by Cheryl. At the meeting she forms two groups, one to investigate into the kidnappings and follow a ripple trail, the other to go help hunt rogue NGDs. She leads the all dragoon task force of Tabetha, Curali and Eluere on the kidnapping investigation while John is placed in charge of Nadia and Peter, who go Dragoon Hunting.
Peter, Nadia and John sit in on a briefing where General Steel instructs them, along with a pack of soldiers on the plans to track the Dragoons if they go AWOL. Steel seems to be a tough sort, and the three handle themselves quite well before being led to an area to relax and stay out of sight while they wait for the NGDs to make their move. Cheryl and her band of Dragoons research an area outside Hermes Incorporated where a few ripple marks are found, trying to trace a trail as to where Raquel might have taken everyone. As they start to consider some clues, a flash lights up the sky, followed by a shattering boom.
The executive building's upper floors burn brightly as smoke billows out, the team rushes over in a shuttle to investigate, when they learn the President was inside, Cheryl panics and rushes up, followed by the others. As they head up, rubble crashes down, Cheryl pushes the twins out of the way and gets buried herself. Tabetha starts digging her out, and when she rises she orders Tabetha to get to the president. Tabetha and the Gemini Twins head up to the lobby to find Darien covered in soot, he explains that the upper floors are gone. Eluere breaks her concern for Darien, hinting to Tabetha his relation to the Twins. Tabetha insists they complete their mission and they head up. As they get high, Culari goes ahead and finds no survivors, and the roof about to collapse.
It does, nearly burying the three when Culari sweeps down, a mech bursts out of the destruction carrying Tabetha, it lands and becomes the twins, showing the two NGDs are capable of taking Mech form together. Darien and Cheryl join the three, as Tabetha covers Culari, Darien covers Eluere, the two seeming to have the old drawback of not retaining clothing in Mech Form either. Tabetha concludes that Darien is their donor father, which he passively shrugs off and doesn't confirm. Cheryl receives the report with regret in her eyes.
Back in the base, YZ and Key research the break in files, hoping to find something useful so they're not being a drag. After some searching, Zephyr finds something to her horror. She recognizes the Dragoons, the two that kidnapped the others are the very same ones Zephyr and Key were ordered to take into a secure location by Cheryl earlier. A sense of dread fills when Cheryl might be in on the evil events occurring. Lemon lets out a scream as the holovid delivers to her the news of Kane's death. YZ and Key rush out to comfort her, YZ vowing to bring whoever is responsible for all this to justice.
Far away on Arc colony, Billy and Elwyn continue to search out Iceheart and Freyja, tracking them to an old, but familiar ruined farm. Iceheart and Freyja collect themselves as they view the farm they crashed into. The lingering malevolence of the once happy farm creeps into Freyja, visibly disturbing her. Iceheart informs her that this was the farm she grew up on, the one her family was shattered on, by Ridarium invasion. The two join hands, walking out into the darkest place in Iceheart's memories.
Session 66: A House Divided Act II: An Executive Death Leads to War. Warriors Pick Their Sides!
Ariel sits in a sushi joint, located in the PAX marketplace, waiting for Kyun to meet up with her, the latest Ambassador to meet with the Guardian leader. Here Ariel meets Elayeh Cridhe, the eldest of the Cridhe sisters and a modern samurai. As they greet each other, Kyun finally shows to take a seat at Ariel's table. They begin to discuss aid for the Guardian Colony, which is about to face a full on assault from Earth Forces wanting revenge for the death of President Kane.
As they begin to talk business, Shiva enters the restaurant and takes a seat. Elayeh asks Leyaeh to serve her, the temporary security chief called out of her totally subtle watch over Ariel. As she sits and greets Shiva, their hands touch and Shiva has a flash. She informs Leyaeh that she has a dark future coming, and that she will face many trials and hardships, but she will lead the defense of thousands of lives. Leyaeh, a bit shaken by such fortune telling, tries to turn her attention back on the two diplomats. Ariel agrees to Kyun's aid, and he orders both Tsivrixsh ships to the Guardian Colony and soldiers to help guard those on PAX.
As if in queue to this, some human aggressors enter the restaurant and call Ariel out as a traitor. When they get violent, they find themselves blocked by a samurai chef, a security officer, and a pastry chef. The resistance of the three causes the group to flee, however they go to start spreading more hate. Leyaeh excuses herself as she's called into security, while a man follows the dissenters, watching what they do. Leyaeh steps into security to find Erevis sitting in tears at Xan's desk, holding his things. She informs Leyaeh that Xanatos is presumed dead, killed in a shuttle accident, and despite not believing it can be true, makes Leyaeh the new Chief of Security. Leyaeh cannot stay to comfort her though, as she finds herself called back to the marketplace by an agent, violence is about to break out.
A Guardian woman in the marketplace is grabbed and humans begin to beat her down, everyone pauses in what they are to do, but Ariel leaves the safety of the story to form her sword, ready to handle the situation herself. The pastry chef and Elyaeh together start to try breaking things up, when Leyaeh arrives to view the chaos. A Vapaad moves out and starts pushing humans away, guarding the beaten guardian. When it looks like the violence will spread with retaliation, the people all begin to vacate the marketplace. Leyaeh calls out her new recruits, a team of Atlean soldiers lent to her by Ambassador Ziranth. She orders medics to pick up the poor Guardian woman and Ariel calms down her people who arrive to give aid. The Guardians flee to the security of the Ambassador Zones and Leyaeh orders guards in the public areas to keep this from happening again. Ordering recruitment to be focused on humans, since security is now employing Famfrits, Atleans, and even a Vapaad, she enters back into the security office to blow off some steam. She wishes fortunes didn't come so quickly.
On the SS Kitty Voyager, the team takes a nap while Noname pilots on his own. When Jennifer, Megumi, Naone and Ako go to sleep however, they find themselves in a strange new place. Jennifer seems unsurprised however, and quickly explains they're all inside a dream of hers. As she starts to lead them through the entryway, a door with a kitty face on it, a vision of Zephyr appears, looking terribly injured and confused. Megumi abandons all explanations and rushes into the dream to look for her Dragoon sister. She finds a very strange version of 1B, occupied by perceptions of people based on how Jen sees them, and Athena, the real one, prancing about. More bracingly is their children, 4 kids that resemble Jennifer and Athena, figments of the girls imaginations, seemingly, in a false life they've built together. Megumi lets all this go for the moment to seek out Zephyr in the house, finding her fading in and out of the dream, due to entering and exiting consciousness. Zephyr tells them she's in trouble, that the Tsivrixsh have her and possible Ao. That Isis was taken away.
Megumi, hoping to get more out of this, demands an explanation for the dream. Jennifer informs her of the mental link between Athena and herself, an arrangement Athena created so that the two could spend more time together and live out things they both agree cannot happen in reality. Jennifer asks Athena to forget the dream so they can get a clear message to the PAX about Zephyr. Megumi however blames Jennifer for the creation and explains that a progenitor creation is never just a dream, that the dream is in fact, a reality, that everyone in it is somehow real. Jennifer and Athena both seem to understand this, possibly more then Megumi understands, as Athena actually screams that it was all her own choice, that she started it, and Jennifer wasn't doing anything wrong.
Jennifer looks at her children with tears, thinking the dream, and her kids, might shortly cease to exist. The dream ends abruptly as alarms call them all back to reality, they shake themselves, realizing it wasn't just a dream, and Megumi rushes to the bridge, the others following. They find devastation, the colony ship seemingly destroyed, bodies in space but no life signs. A Ki signature seems to hang about space, explaining the destruction. Gem rushes to the broken shuttle in an attempt to bounce, wanting to go save her people blindly, and Jennifer chases her, trying to talk her into waiting till they at least know what's happening. Megumi disables the shuttle, causing Gem to rage. Jennifer loses her cool and slaps Gem, trying to get her to stop her tantrum. This only earns her a punch in the gut and the coldness of Gem's disfavor, the girl runs off to a room to sulk, Jennifer following her and trying to apologize. She slumps to the door, Naone and Ako joining her. Ako calms both girls mentally while Megumi looks over scans, determining there are survivors of the colony on the planet, and must decide between rushing to Zephyr's rescue and helping her people once again.
Gem sneaks out of her room, making a shuttle of crystal and the broken shuttle engines. Megumi talks her into taking Noname with her, and after more talking, into going out to Cartel space instead to go after Zephyr while she and the rest of the girls will stay behind to help people.
On Earth, Cheryl tries her best to figure out the current situation while Lemon grieves, starting to act more and more like Cheryl when she gets angry and violent. Tabetha becomes overly exuberant in her desire to cheer up everyone, and the team in the mansion spends the night trying to recover their morale, which steadily evaporates. John's team meanwhile is roused during the night to give chase as the two infected Dragoons move out to do whatever they plan. The group splits into two vans, Nadia taking a second van with a resident soldier, they make their way towards one of the two Dragoons, following him into the night.
Session 67: A House Divided Act III: Hunting Dragoons and Answers
Leyaeh and Erevis finish designing her new zone, a private area for the Cridhe families, over 40 members to the family. The two go to inspect the new zone, while Chad eyes Leyaeh darkly. Making matters worse on the PAX, a number of men enter medical looking to make trouble with the injured Guardian. A slash across each their hands, and a purposeful look tips off the officers posted to guard the woman, they move to block the men and one takes a Famfrit Nurse hostage. The guards, a couple of Atleans, stall just long enough for Leyaeh to get to medical and point a gun at the group, calling for them to stand down, her latest recruit, a Vapaad, backing her up. The men start to stand down when a gun teleports into one of their hands, it starts to charge, and Leyaeh fires a stun web before things can go from bad to worse. However, they seem to go bad regardless, a shot is fired at the same time and the man with the gun's chest explodes, the gun vanishes, and all the cameras seem pointed at her. Leyaeh keeps her calm and arrests the other hostage takers, ordering help to the man who was shot.
The SS Kitty Voyager encounters the force that brought down the colony ship, the strange alien ship takes out the Voyager, forcing it to crash land on the planet. As Megumi sets up the ship to repair itself, MiniCHIP reveals himself, and learning of the great and powerful CHIP's demise, declares himself the honorable replacement. Naone, prodding Jennifer, discovers the girl has fallen asleep and won't wake up, worse yet, Ako is in the same comatose state. Deciding the safest course of action is to take the the trees, the group heads out to hunt some Famfrit, carrying the sleeping beauties with them. After some time the girls wake, Ako screaming, Jennifer more disturbed then before. They describe the dream having gone into a dark place, Ako saying something about a Dream Megumi laying 'asleep' on the cold ground. Jennifer shrugs it off, unable to help herself but give Megumi a look, as though blaming her for what's happened to the dream, only one thing is certain, Athena is not the bright and happy person she usually is, and only Jennifer seems completely unsurprised. THe group then is surrounded by Famfrit, who let Megumi the Destroyer know they need to discuss matters with her.
John's team follows the NGDs into the city, having to trail them through crowded streets, successfully following them without tipping them off. They move into a nightclub, the four following in, posing as a double date group. Inside they witness two women meet up with the NGDs, encountering them like dates, the NGDs seem hopelessly in love with the women, who are identified as former EarthGov Academy trainees. Before joining the men, Nadia and Opal notice a man waiting in a van outside, before they can confront him, he drives off. Once joined together they continue to observe while Peter and Nadia turn the encounter into a real date, dancing. After the women depart, the group follows them, figuring the NGDs are done for now. They track the women by their car, a company car owned by Hermes Inc. Peter contacts Cheryl to get a go ahead on what to do as Nadia and John start to infiltrate. Just as Peter hangs up, the infiltrators are foiled as the building explodes, possibly killing John and sending Nadia stumbling back. A woman in red appears through a ripple, drawing vibroblades. The group readies quickly to face the newest threat, Next Generation Weapons.
Session 68: A House Divided Act IV: The Gods Deliver Death on Hermes Wings
Leyaeh finds herself dealing with chaos when an explosion in the bridge puts Erevis in critical condition and Athena down for the count as well. As Carter rushes to treat the PAX Goddesses, Leyaeh starts to investigate the situation. Questioning Athena leads her to conclude someone on the bridge was at fault and worse yet, that it might be Chad Winters responsible for the attack. The famfrit puts out a call to her security teams to hunt down Chad and the rest of the engineering staff, only to discover Chad has locked all of security out of the system. Elyaeh starts to use old famfrit medicine to help Athena heal faster, displaying her prowess with medicine to compliment her skill with a blade. Katrina joins the emergency security staff, answering Leyaeh's call for a psionic.
On the Dark New Famfrit, the Kitty Voyager crew rest in the darkness of a cavern, where a bunch of the refugee Famfrit now hide. The group discusses with them the possibilities of finding a new world, or integrating with society, but more importantly, about getting off the Dark Planet. Jennifer expresses worry, since she sent Athena a warning through the dream and the PAX, capable of instant travel, should have been there already. Shrugging this off, Megumi continues to press plans of waiting for others, seeing no other real options but to hide until the Kitty Voyager is repaired or help arrives. The group lays down to rest, hoping for help that may not come.
Peter prepares his rifle as Opal grabs a gun and Nadia readies her own, the three left to face a Next Generation Weapon on their own. The battle is short, but fierce, the woman fast and capable of ripples, she gets Opal down with a blade in her shoulder before the two combo strike the woman with leg and shoulder strikes, as the woman stumbles back, she takes a shot to the back of her shoulder and ripples some distance away. She calls for help, then attempts yet another ripple to dodge the gunfire from Nadia, only to find a blade in her neck as Opal throws it in the direction she drops. The NGW dead, the team starts to recover as Key and Nadia dig up John. Multiple ripples form around them all and just as the team braces themselves for yet more combat, Cheryl's shuttle arrives to help and the ripples fade, choosing not to attack with reinforcements present. The team moves out, taking the fallen Weapon with them, after a short study they find the weapon has both Raquel's DNA, and Alexander Cran's. Cheryl tries to work out what this could mean.
Tension rises on PAX as word of Erevis being out cold reaches the Ambassadors, everyone demands the right to run the station and Leyaeh does her best to stall them. Her focus on trying to figure out who assassinated the man, and why, preoccupies her mind while Security in general focuses on the manhunt for Chad Winters. Katrina calls her to reality, telling her she can't keep the governments at bay for long, so Leyaeh resigns herself to doing what she didn't want to do. Entering medical, she joins Elyaeh, who wakes Athena up, and Leyaeh lays out the situation, asking her to take her mother's place as the Captain. As they discuss, the Cafe Girl and her new Dragoon buddy approach Ariel, Cafe Girl having pulled coordinates that Athena was trying to convey off her and wanting to use them to go find Megumi. Ariel agrees to look into getting some ships together for a rescue mission. Once awake, Athena, her body and mind seemingly locked in fury, agrees to the new position, and with help, goes to the bridge to begin laying down the law. She wants answers, and this Athena is not the sweet little girl everyone once knew, she's out for blood.
Session 69: A House Divided Act V: A Goddess Reborn
Leyaeh and Athena, escorted by Elyaeh, Cafe Girl, and Guardian Justice, make their way into Engineering after attempting a Hyperspace jump and finding it failing on then. They're immediately greeted by Chad's explosives, narrowly teleporting to safety in time. After recovering, they head back in and make their way through trap after trap, only heeded by Justice klutzy nature and an extreme annoyance over Chad's need to complicated puzzles. Navigating bomb ridden halls, gas chambers, and other dangers, the group makes it to the central core of Engineering. Before they can confront Chad however, he leaps over into the abyss of the core, explosives strapped to his body exploding in an attempt to knock the reactor offline. It fails, Chad's life ending in a senseless act of violence. Athena chooses to wait until the ship is deemed stable before jumping again, at the council of her companions. As this happens, Tsivrixsh warships appear around the PAX, checking up on the stalled ship. Kyun assures them it's a coincidence, Leyaeh ordering him to send most of them away, leaving a couple behind to act as a communications relay for the PAX and to assist with giving supplies for the PAX's repair. Now they race against time, hoping they can reach Megumi and her team in time.
Team Kitty Voyager continues to remain hidden, alien invaders starting to bombard the planet with attacks. Jennifer and Megumi come out of a haze, the two realizing they can no longer reach Athena, Jennifer finds her dream world gone, as though erased from existence, and Megumi can no longer feel her daughter in the bond. They recoil and try to cope, Jennifer at least resolving to not think Athena might be dead, insisting she's alive and that they need to get back. Escape however, seems futile, the Famfrit refugees begin to panic as the ground shakes from explosions above, and a woman realizes her child is missing. Jennifer and Megumi stop the woman's flight before she can break cover, and MiniCHIP volunteers to go save the girl, the least likely to be scanned, not being a living being. He exits the safety of the caves, and there's a nearby, violent explosion, as the dust clears, the brave MiniCHIP returns with the missing child. He claims his prize of love from the women, and the group returns to doing the only thing they can do, wait and hope for rescue.
Cheryl has Dr. Ferah take scans of the Gemini Dragoons to establish an outline of a healthy, stable NGD, unable to use herself or Tabetha due to their proximity to Raquel for so long. The group uses the downtime to continue recovering, but when the scans are finished, Cheryl orders Peter and Nadia to escort Ferah to General Steel's base, where they plan to compare the scans to two known defecting NGDs.
Session 70: A House Divided Act VI: The House of Cards Falls
Peter and Nadia are joined by their dear, old friend Opal, after their terribly long separation from one another. Opal leads them to an old fashioned conference room with Doc Ferah, where Steel interrogates them about what they're doing. Peter subtly reminds the General that a couple of Privates aren't going to be useful to answering questions, while Nadia provides a bit of infallible logic that leaves Steel unable to press his point. He lets them carry on, and the group is led to a room containing the two rogue Dragoons, strapped to tables and sedated. Ferah takes offense to their treatment, and even holds a debate with the ignorant guards over the Dragoon status of being a person over a weapon. The scans she takes reveals markers in the brain chemistry that confirm tampering with the Dragoon minds. To double check this, they scan the base's third Dragoon, Vodka, and find her to be clean. Ferah immediately works on getting Vodka kidnapped to Cheryl's base. Peter spends most of this time wondering how much rope they others will use to hang his boss.
Back at the base, however, disaster strikes. While the others are talking and working as they were instructed, Cheryl finds what she was looking for in the security files. She watches as a recording of herself placing the bomb that took out the building and killed Kane plays. Unfortunately, looking right over her shoulder, is Lemon. Lemon snaps and begins to attack her, right after Cheryl sends the others an order to arrest her. Tabetha, Eluere and Curali arrive at the office in time to see Cheryl and Lemon going at it, Cheryl reminds Lemon that if she dies, Chii will die too, and this causes Lemon to back off, the house having already started to catch fire during the fight. The two injured and the flames billowing, Cheryl sends Tabetha to find Chii and Lorelei, the girl zipping off with surprising speed to do so. However, before she finds Chii, an ice attack puts out the fires, freezing Lemon. Chii meets up with Tabetha and Tabetha brings her and Lorelei to Cheryl. THe fires out, a rush for getting out is stopped, Lemon falls to the ground blue from frost.
Peter, Nadia, Vodka and Ferah arrive and answer the fire alarms, heading up to the mansion to discover the chaos, they escort the group down to medical, where they're treated and Ferah starts to test Cheryl and Lemon. Eluere and Curali look over the video files again, discovering what Cheryl missed. The recording indicates her shoulder being damaged, which points to a doppelganger of Cheryl, not the general herself, that doppelganger is Lemon. Ferah's test confirms that Lemon is infected with 4 times the markers of the other Dragoons and should be a zombie about now with how deeply she's been converted. Meeting this news, the truth that Lemon was used to plant the bomb, Cheryl orders everyone to let Lemon believe it was really Cheryl's fault. Tabetha strikes a table, her docile nature vanishes as she, along with Chii, state the futility and uselessness of the gesture, the two left to make up a lie to solve the predicament.
The group begins to lick fresh new wounds, but they have answers now, and a way to cure all of the infected NGDs, they are left with one final task, one step to stop the war, uncover the conspirators. Hermes Inc seems to hold the answers.
Session 71: Divided We Fall Act I: Beware the Catgirls
The ground's shaking subsides around the cavern and Megumi gets a call on her datapad. Answering it, she finds a ransom of Isis and Elder Erevis, the kidnappers promising to kill them if Megumi doesn't surrender herself to the aliens outside. CHIP and Jennifer debate against Megumi handing herself over, CHIP suggesting to ambush the aliens and take their ship, ultimately taking over whatever mothership might be in space. Megumi refuses, going off her own to be captured, and after a few moments, Jennifer moves out and follows, leading Naone and Ako along, which causes CHIP to follow, and the Famfrit refugees as well.
They come to a clearing to find Megumi already being loaded onto a shuttle, and the team races to the shuttle, mounting a crystal ladder and in mid air, having to break into the shuttles side port. The girls and their robot body get on board and between Jennifer's attempt to guard the kids, CHIP's valiant sacrifice, Naone's outburst of heroism and Megumi's vengeful waking, the pilot and angelic companion of the shuttle are taken down.
Taking the shuttle and deciding to follow the information given to them by Gem, Megumi, moved by CHIP, moves her team back to the Cartel world to go save Isis and Erevis.
On Earth, Peter and Nadia finish with a base inspection of the NGDs stationed there when they receive new orders to guard President Darien Starr. Joining up with Darien, Zephyr and Key, the two board an armored car with them and drive to the Senate building. Peter takes a scan of Zephyr and discovers she's not only immune to the mind control substance, but she's produced natural counter components to the substance. Peter takes a sample and sends it off to Ferah and Vodka to make an antidote, and the group arrives, escorting Darien into the building.
As Ferah and Vodka get to work at the base, Lemon awakens from her sleep and gets up, acting like Cheryl, she gets dressed and demands to know the situation. Tabetha does her best to explain the story Chii and herself decided on, Lemon accepting it, demands that... Lemon be kept secure until they're sure she's free from influence. Tabetha plays along and Cheryl orders that Lemon be watched. Tabetha and John follow Lemon through the base, keeping an eye on her, the woman seems lost in her role as Cheryl.
Leyaeh, Elyaeh and Athena arrive on the bridge after a security alert to find three dead guards and a dead Tsivrixsh technician. The captain's seat has been opened and it appears someone has been researching the Time Traveling Device that was connected to it back when everyone altered the realities to destroy Xevil once and for all. Leyaeh scans about for clues as to the mystery infiltrator and orders heavier security on the bridge and Athena, deciding they aren't out of the woods yet. Athena declares they are ready to jump to hyperspace to start looking for Megumi, so Leyaeh orders Kyun's troops to withdraw and depart. A strange spaceship appears and begins to charge weapons, attacking the PAX. The Tsivrixsh ships provide cover as the PAX makes it's escape into Hyperspace, Leyaeh having to order a Hangar lock down, locking some of the remaining Tsivrixsh troops on board the ship when they jump.
Session 72: Divided We Fall Act II: Weapons of Destruction; Famfrits of Creation
Location: Senate Hall
Guarding the President while he makes his speech to the people of Earth, Peter, Nadia, Key and Zephyr keep a close eye out for danger. Darien announces his presidency and then announces a cessation of hostilities towards the Guardian Colony, recognizing that they are being controlled by an outside power, and declares that they will hunt down whoever is responsible. As his speech begins to wind down, Raquel appears in a ripple and takes a shot at Darien from the balcony. Zephyr moves to intercept her, while Peter tackles Darien to safety. Raquel tosses a grenade into the crowd, leaving Nadia and Key to deal with it as she makes her escape, Zephyr leaping after her through a ripple.
Darien has Peter call in a trace on the ripple as a Weapon bursts through the back doors and starts attacking, he deflects Peter's shot back through a ripple at him and Darien, Peter taking the shot's damage with his 'One-Shot' shield. Key gets up close and personal, and the Weapon drops a grenade at her feet, while pulling out two more. Darien takes the Weapon out with a shot at one of the grenades in his hands, blowing the assassin to pieces. Key zones out with a grenade at her feet and Darien races to get her to safety, Peter blasts Key out of danger with a concentrated Stun hit, and Darien takes the explosion to his face.
Peter receives the order to follow the traced ripple, and hesitantly leaves Darien to the mercy of security and doctors, pushing Key to teleport them to the location, while Key goes into a rant about the obvious situation. Peter loses his patience with her and suggests she wants Zephyr to die. This causes Key to slap him, but also for her to get to it and teleport them away.
At the Cartel world, Team Megumi is reunited with Gem the Mighty and Naone the Cool. Meeting at the alien ship's ramp, the team takes a moment for greetings, especially from Naone who tackles her new friend gleefully. THe joy is short lives, when three trench coated strangers make their way towards their ship. Jennifer spots the overly obvious trio and points them out, Megumi eyeing them as well. Ako conjures a crystal bowl that lands on one of the three's heads, knocking off it's mask to reveal a Tsivrixsh. Two Tsivrixsh and one Angel attack the group, between Megumi's shotgun and a sudden appearance from Ao, the Angel is defeated after the Tsivrixsh are taken down. CHIP takes Ao, now unconscious but still thankfully alive on board and the group races into space to escape Cartel police.
They track down the remaining angel ship quickly, and the ship begins to make it's escape. Megumi uses her energy and Ako's ability to power the ship's dark matter attacks and take out the ship's engines. Jennifer meanwhile stabilizes Ao and treats her wounds. The Angels, in desperation, eject Isis into space, causing the team to stop and have to save her. As Megumi bangs her fists on the view port helpfully, Zephyr blasts her way out of the ship and Isis forms a crystal barrier around herself to buy time. Zephyr kicks the Isis-ball to Megumi's ship, CHIP moves the ship closer and Naone and Noname together form a crystal barrier to safely retrieve the girl, followed by Zephyr.
Megumi in a rage begins to barrage the angel ship with dark matter blasts, ripping it to shreds as the Angels try to take out Zephyr. Zephyr on board informs them that the older Erevis is on board that ship, Jennifer yells out for Meg to stop, and she calms when she hears the news. Treating the injured, Jennifer detoxifies the two drugged captives, and takes Isis to safety, Zephyr and Megumi begin to form a Mech to save the elder Erevis, who scans reveal is pregnant.
Back on Earth, Peter's trio appears in a warehouse, to find Raquel with several weapons and the two NGDs, Dias, Tomoe, and Drake tied up nearby. Raquel is torturing Zephyr, cutting her little by little with ripples. Peter motions the others to take cover and waits, when Cheryl's shuttle arrives, the combined shots from Peter's rifle and Nadia's gun cause the crates near three of the enemy to explode. Key recalls herself right into Raquel's face the the girl's tango. THe other weapons begin to move into place, two rippling over to attack Peter and Nadia, one rippling over to Key when the unit's shuttle stops overhead, Tabetha, John, Curali and Eluere leaping down to join the fight.
Eluere and Nadia take down a Weapon, while Peter takes another out and Curali notes another, dark figure lurking off to the side, setting explosives. Lemon and Chii somehow form a Mech, while Raquel pushes herself free of Key's vengeful hug, Zephyr gets free and rejoins the fight, taking on Raquel as well, they two distract Raquel just long enough for Lemon-Mech to land on top of Raquel, ending her life. Curali attacks the stranger who reaches for a detonator, getting cut in the neck, Tabetha sees Curali go down and charges in, blasting away at the man, attacking his shield to make him back off, he does as his shield starts to fail, rippling to safety.
Retrieving the detonator and seeing the battle ending, the group makes their way out of the warehouse before it explodes, taking with them Dias, Tomoe, Drake, and the recovered parts to Cole's body. The team returns home to recover, Vodka using the test cure made from Zephyr's blood work to try and fix Lemon. Cheryl announces they're at the final stage, and have 48 hours to retrieve a sample of Guardian DNA and confirm that they are under influence. They plan to leave in 4 hours, so they all get some rest.
Session 73: Divided We Fall Act III: Guardians of the Truth
Location: PAX
The PAX begins to take hits from Ki blasts, fired from the strange alien ship. Leyaeh suggests retreat but Athena makes a firm decision, they are to stay and rescue the refugee Famfrit. Athena sits in the captain's chair and starts channelling Hyperspace. The shields and weapons active, Leyaeh and Elyaeh take up the gun positions and start firing, after the Famfrit girls miss in their first attempts, the ship draws closer and they find themselves able to use their reflexes and instincts over knowledge they lack, and begin firing heavily into the enemy ship.
Elyaeh and Leyaeh take out the Ki wings of the ship, Leyaeh missing a suggestion and failing to fire on the Dark Matter energy building up, the enemy ship fires. The blast damages the Atlean and Cartel hangars heavily, though the key parts to the ship are spared. With fervent resolve, the girls keep firing, taking out the rest of the wings, and then Leyaeh blasts out the shilding to the Dark Matter generator. Truth and Cafe Girl take to space and combine into a gear form, blasting away at the generator. As Athena runs out of energy, burnt out from overchanneling, Leyaeh and Elayeh, with Guardian Truth, blast away the generator and the rest of the ship, claiming victory.
Athena is taken to medical bay for here severe burns, but continues to order and command the ship from her bed. Leyaeh sends out a call for volunteers to go down planetside to retrieve the surviving refugees. She and Elyaeh head out towards the hangar bay afterwards, while Truth and Cafe Girl fly down on their own to the surface in mech form.
The Captured Kitten looms over the remains of the Angel Ship as Megumi and Zephyr form a mech and head over to the section Elder Erevis awaits them in. As they close the distance, a shuttle appears out of hyperspace and starts to scan the rubble and the CK after a moment. Answering the ships hail, they meet a man calling himself Sol Egan, who offers to help them after he learns what they are up to. The shuttle stands by as Megumi and Zephyr make their way into the rubble and fight their way past an Angel, then punch their way through the floors below them to Erevis.
They escape, with Erevis in Zephyr's mecha form just as the ruins disintegrate. Making it to the Captured Kitten, they are bidden good luck by Sol, who seems to have an exchange with Erevis before they leave. Isis takes Megumi to one side to tell her her theory that Erevis' child is that of one of her captors and the woman may have fallen in love with whoever it is. They depart at high speed back to the PAX and the refugee world. Shortly thereafter, Sol departs.

On Earth, the team readies to depart after a short spell of resting, they're told by Cheryl as they get into space that she's commandeering an EarthGov starship to get to the Guardian colony. They disembark onto the larger ship and are given room assignments, due to Lorelei sneaking on board, Cheryl has Key bring Lemon and Chii up to the ship, leaving the full crew together once again. Especially together as Curali and Eluere have kidnapped Darien and smuggled him onto the ship as well.
The group settles down to relax, Cheryl taking her family to a large room to spend some time together while Key and Zephyr claim a room, Tabetha arranging things so she can get private time with John. Peter follows Vodka and Nadia to a bedroom where they spend some quality time together. Tabetha manages to boost her sync rate with John when she leads John into a sexual mantra, telling him a sexy story about Key. As John gets a little carried away, Key interrupts with a fan to John's head. John resumes the fantasy with the real Key while Tabetha continues to raise her bonding rate by taking poor Zephyr to the next room to mimic John's actions. Peter slips up while flirting and somehow manages to make Nadia angry with him and the two hurt Vodka's feelings, she rushes away, after Nadia leaves, leaving Peter scratching his head.
Session 74: Divided We Fall Act IV: Dragoons vs. Guardians
Location: PAX
The PAX crew's ground unit, led by Leyaeh, moves down to the planet, bringing along Katrina and Elyaeh, along with several security officers, they go down to the refugee planet to find Truth being attacked by crystals, flailing about. Leyaeh manages to get the refugees to calm down by saying they're with Megumi Zhenmei. After landing and proving they know Megumi, the group is able to begin organizing the evacuation of the Famfrits all over the planet onto the PAX.
Cheryl's team departs the ship with relationships shifted. Tabetha now bonded to John, Peter and Nadia closer while Vodka lost on relationships, Eluere's eyebrows raised all the more at her twin. The group takes a shuttle into Guardian Colony space. On approach to the world, John proposes to Key, asking for her hand in marriage, which Key accepts to the joy of all. Then they get into range of the Tsivrixsh blockade. The agressive defenders attempt to block the transmissions of the group and the shuttle nearly finds itself snuffed out before Curali and Eluere are able to reach the Guardians via their Dragoon communication.
The Guardians guide them down to the planet to a processing base, but before they can land a group of rogue GUardians attacks the shuttle, blasting it and half the crew out of the sky. Peter attempts a controlled crash to save the rest while Key and Zephyr take Dragoon form to catch Cheryl and join the fight with Eluere and Curali. After they crash, Peter discovers both Nadia and Vodka are in critical condition and is forced to attempt surgery right there, with only Lemon's communication to guide him, but manages to save Nadia's life. Cheryl reunites with Chii and the two take on a powerful Mech form. Up in the skies, Eluere and Curali battle Guardians alongside Zephyr and Key, when Cheryl slams into an attacking unit, busting a cure vial in the Mech Form's face. Tabetha and Cole providing ground support for Zephyr, are just about to find the wrath of a fully formed Guardian when other Guardians intervene.
Having seen the agressive actions of their fellows, they agree that Cheryl's unit isn't an enemy and Cheryl attempts to get them to look into the cure they've brought. They take the injured somewhere to get fixed up, giving hopeless glances at Vodka's condition.
On the PAX, the team finishes bringing the Famfrit refugees aboard when another Angel ship tears out of darkspace and starts heading for them. Before they can act, thankfully, the ship identifies as the Captured Kitten and it's crew. Leyaeh calls Truth and Rem out to go and fetch them, as their ship is starting to fail, when a second Angel ship appears and starts to attack the Captured Kitten. Once again, before they can retaliate, the ship hails the PAX to reveal it's crew of Xanatos Durran and Drasek, both alive and well. After a compicated moment the team manages to get both ships on board and disembarked, Megumi's ship threatens to explode with Dark Matter. Having to physically push, a joint effort gets this ship out to the bay entrance when Truth drags it out, getting it away from the ship just before it explodes. For a moment, it seems Truth and Ren are taking when the ship, Leyaeh's heart falters a moment before Truth dramatically shows up again, creating a happy ending to the day.
The families reunited, everyone begins to lick their wounds, Jennifer starts treating Athena's long untended wounds while Ako and Iko, through Megumi, heal the younger Erevis to a point where she'll last just a little longer. Everyone begins to rest, readying to get back to Earth.
Session 75: Divided We Fall Act V: Divided We Fall, United We Stand
Location: Guardian Colony
Cheryl's unit rests a bit as Guardian doctors handle the poor Vodka. Key uses her powers to keep Vodka alive long enough for treatments to work while Tabetha, Zephyr and John look on. Peter sits by Nadia's bed, keeping her in it once she wakes to prevent her from hurting herself further. Cheryl begins to speak to the Guardian Council about the indoctrination and offers the cure. As everyone talks, Zephyr notices a suspicious Guardian typing in a nearby console, when she calls the GUardian out, it summons a bomb ready to go off. Cheryl begins to test each council member for the cure at this time. Zephyr and Peter react to the threat with quick shots to the Guardian's back, killing him. As his body slumps to the floor, security is alerted and Cheryl reaches Elder Zackideus, who responds by declaring Cheryl a traitor, swining a scythe out at her. Cheryl quickly calls out that the man is under the infection. Too slow to reach, Cheryl's group of Chii, Eluere, and Curali are shocked as Cheryl falls down with a terrible neck wound, bleeding to death. Curali and Eluere start to fight back.
Security arrives in the medical room and the Guardian Doctor who was witness clears them on what they claim, and security goes off again due to the fight in the Council Chamber. John and Tabetha rush off with security to help. They arrive to find Zackideus attacking almost wildly now, the Council slowly begins to respond to the threat when Eluere gets shield called down on them to protect them. Tabetha starts firing on Zackideus to attempt and disable him, and Zackideus respond with an attack of five heat seeking Scythes. Tabetha and John work on dodging them, following Eluere's instructions after she traps Zack, she then puts shields up around them. Zack is disabled and put down for treatment, and Cheryl is rushed into surgery with Chii close at their heels. The team reunites in the medical bay and discuss what happened, as Vodka pulls through and Cheryl is kept under. The elders announce to them that they'll spread the treatment, however, even knowing all this, they do not want to return to Earth's rule, and instead wish to persue their own freedom. 'Dawn' arrives and lets them know that 'he's' well along with Aya, and Fiore. Gordon Paladin is also released to their custody, all of them joinng the team for the trip home. The team leaves, heading back to the commandeered starship and for home.
Aboard the ship, they rest up waiting for new challenges, Peter asks Vodka if she'd like to join the team, and she reveals her hands are tied to go back to Steel. Peter calls in a favor, asking Darien personally to get her reassigned away from Steel, and he decides to put her under Ferah's command, along with Vodka's two NGD partners. Darien also announces his decision to publicly acknowledge and take in his daughters, the Gemini Twins.
The PAX arrives at Earth, thanks to the efforts of Kellin, who shows a remarkable ability to use the command chair, performing a jump without nearly as much effort as any of the other Progenitors. Arriving, they are greeted by General Steel who demands that Ariel and her Guardians be handed over to him. Athena shows off her newly shown, stern side and calls Steel's bluff, turning him down and daring him to try and challenge her authority. He backs down. Athena calls Ariel to the bridge and after a conversation with her, and a call from the Guardian World, Ariel agrees it best to return to the colony, now that they have support and with the threat of the infection present. She leaves, and after the insistance of Rem to follow, despite Truth not really liking the colony, the two go with the rest of the Guardians. Corvin flies his first mission, taking them out to Guardian Space after recieving the mission from Leyaeh.
Cheryl and her group arrive in Earth Space at the same time as Elwyn's ship, carrying Iceheart and Freyja as well, with Billy. Freyja back, she's able to heal Erevis' terrible wounds, saving the woman and her twin babies. Everything falling back into place, light begins to swell back in their hearts and minds. The only shadows cast now are on the deaths of Chad Winters and Raquel, killed during the incidents, with Aya learning this, she collapses back into despair, and Cheryl's mood darkens even more. Back on Earth, the team goes over Lemon's memories, now with the clue of Chad in place, Cheryl believes that a Cran or someone with his notes has to be behind all that's happened. And they find it, a hidden memory, a blonde man with Cran's features, hiding his eyes behind sunglasses and a hat. He gives Lemon instructions and tries to harvest her eggs for some experiment. A face is put to their threat, and now that threat, and Kyun's possible betrayal remain.
Location: Guardian Planet
Ariel arrives on the Guardian colony and is filled in on the events that took place with Cheryl's team while she was gone. Skipping such formalities as scanning Ariel for the virus, she is led to meet with the council to discuss their next move, while Truth and the Cafe Girl are led away for inspection. Ariel agrees to take up the position as leader of the Guardian's new militia, a force to protect itself from EarthGov and all others that would seek to dominate them.
Cheryl places Cole in charge of a group to search for Mrs. Alligerhi and Warren Carmichael, both believed to be alive now after Dawn brought them back along with his sister after a trip through hell. Meanwhile Cheryl takes another group to the PAX to relax and try and recuperate after the recent events, as well as to look in on everyone after the terrible events that took place. Jennifer stands there to greet them and shortly, after greeting Corvin on his safe return, Leyaeh heads over to meet them as well. The group splits up to explore and meet up with people fairly quick, the twin wandering into the marketplace, Jennifer running off with Lemon and Chii, Cheryl heading to medical to speak with Xanatos, who is looking over Erevis.
Athena meets with Kyun, while Katrina and Zephyr sit in on the conversation. Kyun appears as innocent, or slippery, as ever. They are able to draw nothing definitive against him, and Athena resolves to keep up treating him with respect as long as he is benefitting the PAX.
Cole's group arrives in Roma, touching down in a field of flowers they indeed find Rose Alligheri, the mother of Dawn and Fiore. After getting confirmation that Warren was indeed with them, and realizing that unlike Rose, who was buried in shallow dirt, Warren was buried under a rock pile. They team rushes to Tokyo, to the old shrine, and they find that Warren is no longer under the rock pile, and long gone. Deciding to head to the PAX and report rather then track down a man who will never be found unless he wants to be, the team moves on, bringing Rose to the PAX with them.
Back on the PAX, people are settling in, sharing drinks at the bar or meeting up with family. All is going along swimmingly when a terrified young famfrit runs to Leyaeh, bleeding, she silently leads Leyaeh to the Garden. Here they find men beating on another man bound up. It turns out to be Chad Winters, still alive. Corvin, Tabetha, Zephyr and the illusive Kid (famed for fighting evil Legacy monsters) stop the men while the others secure the girl and Chad. After finding the girl's sister, Tabetha and Leyaeh bring them to medical. As Jennifer and Carter work to treat Chad and the girl respectively, and everyone begins to gather to figure out just what happened to Chad. As they wait around, a discussion about starting a justice system and proper laws on the PAX fires up, Erevis resolves to get a system in place.
While Leyaeh and Corvin look in on the girls, learning that Leyaeh's offhanded offer to give the older of the sisters, whom Tabetha names Pome, led Pome to serious spy around for trouble. Pome, dedicated to working hard to support her little sister, whom Tabetha named Berry, refuses to accept rewards for what she was paid to do. Seeing the condition of the orphaned children, and feeling responsible for Pome's injuries, Leyaeh decides to take the girls in as her own daughters.
Chad awakens and they find he remembers nothing for week that have gone by, and after close inspection, Jennifer and Cheryl identify a part of Chad's brain that's been wiped clean. Jennifer deduces that Chad was under some form of mind control, and for better or worse, is now free of it, and in fact, better off. Whatever kept Chad depressed and antisocial is gone, and he appears to be happier then usual. The leadership decides to place Chad on vacation time, to watch him and see how he does, Chad alive, and everything calming down, the team can now rest, at least for a little while.
