Asmodeus:

Not much is known about Asmodeus' origins, especially based on what information has gotten out, either through captured demons or slaves, or slaves that opted to leave once they gotten their freeodm. He is alagamation of demons so he is unlike any other demon - he is definitely not an Imperial either. A mixture of various demons, with wings, somewhat blue skin like an Imperial, dark black eyes, silvery long hair, standing at 6'6 feet, muscled, it is said he can shape shift, put out phermones, and command all the elements. He defeated the Cadre and became the supreme ruler of the Demon Realm, leading it to the glory it has today, and shaping it be what it is now.

The Cadre:

The Cadre are made up of the most powerful of the demons in the Demon Realm. With Asmodeus as the overall supreme leader of the Demon Realm, having defeated the Cadre many centures ago, they are the second most powerful group after him. There are 7 of them and their positions change depending on who rises up to challenge them. A member of the Cadre's family, a family being called a Sect, has great power and wealth over all other Sects, and enjoys things luxuries others dream of in the Demon Realm. When someone manages to defeat a member of the Cadre and take his seat, they can either opt to take the Sect into their own Sect, or kill them off. Both has their benefits. The Sect is made of various types of demons, though it is not uncommon to see the same types at times, since certain demons are stronger than others. Though even a slave who has risen up can get on the Cadre if they are wily and strong enough and have the will.

Currently on the Cadre:

Malthus - Vampire

Dimme-kur - Oni

Milcom - Moloch

Leesha - Rakshashi

Wiendigo - Wendigo

Mephistala - Malevoy

Shenheiser - Malevoy

The Demon Hierarchy:

Though this is not an exact list, as a lower demon can always defeat a higher demon, through various means - including intelligence, battle field location, or relics they have gathered, these rankings are based on what is typically the norm. They are ranked in no particular order power wise. Note, though some of the demons listed might be higher up, they might not always have larger Sects, since they might not be interested in having larger families and power in such manners, and might simply be loners.

---

Vampire: Vampires are powerful creatures, but they are not typically fighters. While they can stand toe to toe with many demons in strength, they prefer subtlely. Social creatures, they have their own social circles and cliques within their own social circles. Vampire Sects are complicated and known to be a war with each other, as well as with other Demon Sects. They ally with one another to deal with other Vampire Sects as often as they do it to deal with other Demon Sects. Their main source of substience is draining blood from their victims and they are able to make more vampires by draining blood, and giving the victim their own blood.

Powers: Their powers range from chipping away at one's will to take over one's mind, if one's Mind is too low, to being able to make oneself appear to not be there. They can blend into shadows, and cast fog to move about. They can also fly and glide short distances. Their fingers can turn into claws to do damage as well. If a vampire is able to survive a few hundred years, they gain more abilities such as turning into bat like creatures, longer flight durations, and turning into actual fog.

Weaknesses: Fire, losing their head, losing all the blood in their body, and something piercing their heart. If they do drink blood for long periods, they can also die. It is possible to revive a vampire if they turn to ashes and one puts blood on the ashes, but only if it is done within a few days. Also if they do not feed, they grow paler and slower, their powers weakening over all and slowing down. The sun also hurts them more.

---

Mar'kus: These dog like beings were once dog like humanoids that slowly became more demonic. Rounded up by the Imperials, they were tested on and soon became more feral. Mar'kus are a loyal society of dog people who are merecenaryish. They work for other Demon Sects for money or a home or other things. While some Mar'kus do form their own Sects, it's rare, as they are more of a roaming sort in the Demon Realm. Much like dogs vary, so do Mar'kus, in size and shape, and so do their mannerisms. Some are strong and tough but slow, others are smaller and quick, but weaker. This helps them in their field as bodyguards, or as watchdogs.

Powers: They can see very well in the dark, their smell is hightened above most demons, able to track and follow scents once they get it. They can dig through almost any type of ground except metals. Their claws are sharp and if they lose one, it will grow back in. Their tails are able to grapple and yank people off balance. Their hearing is acute and sharp. Their teeth are razor sharp and once they bite someone, it's hard to pull them off. They are able to run very fast and leap far distances.

Weaknesses: Their acute hearing can be used against them. They're not very intelligent and can easily be tricked. Because they do not typically have Sects, they are scattered and do not have one voice like a lot of demons. They can be killed by almost anything.

---

Nickar: Known to patrol the waters and lakes of the Demon Realm, this is their territory, and their Sects typically live in them. Those who do live on land, their homes are made of grand watery insides and spectacular watery insides. When they seek prey, they leave the DR water borders and patrol Tareh, seeking fishermen or other boats and tip them over after tormenting those onboard, and have their way with them. They have fish-like tails and often sit by the water combing each other's long green or blonde hair with seaweed, playing a harp or singing. Their cousins are Adi and Nymphs. They all can leave the water for short periods, and like to attend festivals with dancing and music, especially with fire. By leaving this water, they are able to attend the meetings of other demons, or go to Tarehian cities, under disguise, to spy. This also is how they can live in their houses, as long as the house as a body of water when they begin to get weak.

Powers: They can form tempests, hurricanes, hailstorms, and blizzards in a general area to upturn boats and attack those who dare mess with them, though their power must have a body of water to do so; the larger the body of water, the greater the effect. If it's a puddle, don't expect much, if it's an ocean, expect hell.

Weaknesses: If they remain away from water too long, though drawn in by fire, it can hurt them badly. Beheading. Staked to the ground or wall. Dried out by certain such magiks. Tails chopped off.

---

Nymphs/Adi: These are offshoots of the more aggressive Nickar. They also live mostly in the water and have their own Sects they are part of typically. Since they are more timid and shy, unlike the Nickar, other Demons, and sometimes even other Tarehians, will capture them and keep them prison as servants or, worse, sex slaves, because they will not fight back. Due to this it's not unusual for them to be taken from their own Sects into another Demon's Sect. They are playful and kind demons that are curious, and are helpful to sailors. Unusually beautiful, they do not make homes on land, even though they too are able to transform and go on land and especially love to do so for festivals and dances, loving to dance and sing with people.

Powers: They can heal people are injured, though it weakens them. They are able to swim exceededly fast and can breathe underwater indefinitely. They can form small hailstorms and tempests to try to get away, but not to harm - it depends on the size of the water.

Weaknesses: If they remain away from water too long, though drawn in by fire, it can hurt them badly. Beheading. Staked to the ground or wall. Dried out by certain such magiks. Tails chopped off.

---

Malevoy: The offspring of two different demons, born of damned flesh, this creature appears to have the shape of a normal elf, with long ears and a lithe form, however, it is covered entirely in midnight black skin, with completely black eyeballs, only it's teeth and mouth show any signs of coloration. They are known to be creatures with great elemental magik potential, extreme intellect, and cunning, their clawed hands and feet serve as excellent measures of self defense, but they do not possess great strength or speed.

Powers: They can see in the dark as most humans see daylight, they also naturally blend well into any dark area due to their dark skin. They primarily excell in forming powers which use the eight elements, focusing one two primary affinities where most only have one due to the nature of their parentage. Their claws on both hand and feet can easily rend flesh and cloth, and they gain additional strength feeding off fresh flesh and blood. Where some vampires only drink blood, they'll happily eat a whole creature, their teeth extra sharp and capable of crushing bone.

Weakness: Their dark complexion and favor of darkness makes them extra sensitive to light, they are weakened by being out in daylight or exposed to bright lights. While they are crafty, they are also physically weak, possessing no great physical prowess.

---

Nibelung: One of the most common and numerous type of demon in the Demon Realm, Nibelungs are also the weakest and most looked down upon. They are small, lumpy looking creatures that are green or brown depending. Their Sects are typically huge, with many Sects intermarried and belonging to each other. The Sects typically are all at odds with each other due to how many they are and all the intermarriages going on and trying to climb to the top and get jobs. Every city has Nibelungs all over, doing various jobs.

Nibelungs are good for two things: crafting and building weapons and tools, and for cannon fodder in bigger Demon Sects'. They make fine weapons and tools and the older Nibelung Sects who actually have great skill are typically well paid by the more powerful Demon Sects to craft them execlusive weapons, or if that's not their speciality, exclusive armor or other items. If a Nibelung Sect has reached such reclaim they can stand on their own without another Demon Sect's patronage and can do whatever they want, with other Demons coming to their shop to buy their items, then they truly have reached a level of respect. There are only about 10 Nibelung Sects that have such the honor, and all the other Nibelung Sects want to get one of their many family members into them.

For the rest, it's either the fighting or thieving lives for them, and since they're a dime a dozen, they're either in the many ranks of the Demon Sects, or in the general over all Demon Realm army that Asmodeus has set up. While it's a sign how strong a Demon Sect is with their own private army, and getting Nibelungs is easy, they're not the best fighters either.

Powers: They're not very powerful in anyway. They can't take a lot of hits, and they can't deal a lot of damage.

Weaknesses: None really, either.

---

Lilin: Succubus and Incubus are two types of demons who gather energy by feeding off others through sex. A trained Lilin type demon can even manage not to kill their victim and especially valued amongst the demon community - and sometimes the normal community of Tareh, if one knows where to look. They are extrodinarily beautiful, perhaps the most beautiful of all the demons, their features designed to bring about lust, and their pheromones about to break through the most powerful of willpowers. One must have a strong Mind, or other high stats of a variation to resist. Even if a girl was not gay, a Succubus could get them into bed for a night.

They do not have Sects, but other Demon Sects seek out trained Lilin for high prices, and they are treated quite well for their talents as concubine, or if they are lower class, prostitutes. The better the Lilien Demon is at bringing about a climax, and not killing the subject, and the better their style, the more notice and reknowned they will become. Some have even set their own prices and businesses for other Lilin in cities, running fancy paid services for Sects like Paid Escorts. These Paid Escorts have discreetly begun moving into the Kingdoms of Tareh, if one knows where to loook for them.

Lilien need to feed to remain strong, the sexual energies transferred keeping them healthy and alive. If they don't leave a body, they can avoid suspicions in the normal world. In the Demon Realm, if they don't leave a body, they can manage many things - but sometimes, one just needs to kill someone to make a point. As far as their looks go, outside their beauty, they have two horns, bat like wings, and a wire thin tail with a bulbous tip. These range in size and can be hidden at will, to help blend in.

Powers: Pheramones that are hard to defeat outside magik, moderate strength, gliding, moderate speed, sexual prowess.

Weakness: Many things can kill a Lilin, but they don't have a general weakness either. But if one deprieves them of sex for too long, they grow weaker and weaker.

(Take from Chain's ideas)

---

Flavros: A demon that appears to be a leopard, and when it changes into a human form, it has a frightfully maligned face with burning eyes that glow red, and sharp teeth, twisted leopard like features, and furry arms and legs, muscular porportions, and everything else. Flavros are naturally attuned to prophecy and psionics, and can tap into the mana flow of Tareh to foresee things of past and future using those two things. However, they have a natural inclination to lie. Their Sects are built on this ability to tell the future, and Asmodeus calls upon certain families who have shown to be loyal to him for guidance on when to do what, giving them his blessing and riches in the higher class cities. Naturally, other demons seek the weaker Flavros Sects to try to make them tell them prophecy as well, capturing the ones they can, due to there being a certain technique that can force them to tell the truth.

Flavros give true answers of all things past, present and future, but they must be first commanded to enter a magic triangle, for if they do not not, they will lie, deceive the conjurer, and beguile them in other business. But if thhe enter the triangle, they will answer truly, and gladly speak about divinity, the creation of the world, themself, and other demons. They can also destroy all the conjurer's enemies by burning them up - to a degree. Stronger demons can destroy the Flavros easily, though the triangle makes the Flavros stronger, it also means they cannot move. If the magician or demon requests it, they will not suffer temptations from any spirit or in any form. Flauros can also supposedly be called upon when a mortal or demon wishes to take vengeance on other demons. This means humans with dark magiks can pull Flavros from the Demon Realm if they know the right rituals.

Powers: Psionics to read minds, the ability to read the past and future, know about other demons to a degree, and fire magik to burn enemies. Being in the triangle makes them stronger.

Weaknesses: Anything can kill them but fire.

---

Drude: A type of demon witch, they work with in dreams. Loners mostly, they do not have large Sects. While it's not out of the question for them to have a family of sorts, or to pass on their knowledge to other women they are ... close to, if you know what I mean, Drudes are witches who gain their powers by targetting virgins and priestesses, especially humans, elves/halflings, and azuha. Bunpers and Catmews ocassionally, though not often. The Drude is a beautiful young woman of great beauty - such great beauty that is catches others off guard. Their eyes are dark and alluring, drawing and hypnotising, drawing one in, and their hair is silverish or pale in some manner as well, like the moonlight or some transparent dream.

They possess the virgin and priestess from afar, in the Demon Realm, in whatever Tarehian city, slowly corrupting the girl's soul and splittingt their soul off from their body. They do this because the Drude, overtime, grows old and hag like, their hair rotting out and their flesh sagging, breasts falling toward the floor like used goods. When this happens, the women being targetted cannot warn others, unable to do so, as it occurs over a 3 night period. The only way to free oneself from the curse is by being given a very tame and important domestic animal to pass the drude onto, which kills the animal in the process.

Powers: Drudes are also shapeshifters and can appear as feathers, clouds of smoke, bumblebees, snakes or toads. They have powerful magiks they can cast, typically dark magik, but when they are possessing priestesses or virgins, they can typically use whatever element they have as well against others. They can also hypnotise others with their eyes. However, if the Drude is reaching the decaying state, then it is likely their powers are waning.

Weaknesses: Exercising magik or charms work against them, making Azuha trained in this by Ama a true threat. Holy magik is also a true threat against them. If facing the true Drude's body, various stabbing tools kill too.

---

Akhkhazu: An exclusively female demon race, they bring plagues and fevers upon others. Used by Asmodeus in wars to weaken other races - both physically and mentally - before attacking, the Akh, for short, unleash their plagues upon a city and get those suspectible sick, so the forces of the city have two problems to deal with: the invading demons who are snatching slaves and supplies, and the sick and dying.

They are deceptively plain, though they can transform into alluring temptresses for a short time of two hours, using whatever is inside a person's head to shape their form, transforming their body to match what they desire. But other than that, Akh are nothing special to behold. Their entire appearance is completely ordinary. However, once they unleash their plagues and fevers, they turn into hedious forms - boils and rotting flesh appears in which flies carrying the plague emerge, flying out into the areas targetted. The smell of the decaying flesh is usually smelt first when an Akh is turning into this form, as it takes 5 mins to get ready, opening their pores and boils in their armpits to unleash the flies.

Since they are all females, they do not have Sects, and are employed by various other Sects to do jobs. They are mostly hired by Asmodeus in his Demon Army.

Powers: Unleashing fevers and plagues.

Weaknesses: Fire and being attacked by blades of steel or ore.

---

Moloch: Bull like race of demons, they are extremely powerful. Though they walk on two legs and have two arms like humans, they are completely like bulls in all other regards. Their faces are like that of a bull's, with great horns. For a Moloch, the larger the horns, the more prestige you have and the greater your Sect will be. It is also not uncommon for a Great Moloch to put a magikal rune into their nostrils to repel attacks, since Molochs can withstand such smelting of runes onto their faces. They are are monsterous to behold, able to breathe fire through their nostrils, and highly intelligent, though they are quick to anger and have great tempers.

Due to their strengths, lower class Molochs are commonly used as builders, having built many of the great Demon Realm cities, and aided in the creation of other larger items found in the Demon Realm. However, the larger Moloch Sects are the Generals of Asmodeus' Demonic Army, with the Sects competing to see who can command the largest divisions. This might would normally cause a lot of infighting, but the Moloch Sects have instead found ways around it in the forms of tournaments they hold regularly every 6 months, where they send in champions to battle to the death, and if a champion dies, arrangements are made - though a Sect loses face, they can try again in six months to regain it. And if a Sect ever breaks the rules set forth, the others will turn on that Sect.

Due to their high intelligence, Asmodeus listens to the Great Moloch Sects' advice in matters of war and there the Greatest Moloch Sect Head is on the the Cadre, advicing the Cadre in matters of war as well as providing a vote.

Powers: Can breathe fire; absurd strength. When stomping, the ground shakes. Can charge with great strength. The horns can pierce through tier 12 armor easilly if one is not careful. If certain ruins are in their nostrils, can repel magik attacks.

Weaknesses: Ice Magik if they do not have a rune to protect them; their throat is their weak point.

---

Ogres/Trolls/Giants: These creatures are rare and vary in size, but the older they get, the larger they become. With Tareh's mana flow and whatnot, these three creatures have been affected most, and depending on the type you run into, you can run into a different type of beast each time. They will range from 15 feet to 100 feet if you're unlucky and will have varying powers depending on what type of mana they've been feeding off of all these years. Their powers and weaknesses will vary depending on that. While they could be classified as monsters, they have some moderation of intelligence and many are found now in the Demon Realm, being used by Asmodeus.

---

Oni: These demon vary in appearance in a few ways, but for the most part they are hideous, gigantic beings with sharp claws, wild hair of varying colors, and two long horns that grow from their heads; they are humanoid but occassionally they have unnatural features such as odd number of eyes or an extra finger or toe. Also their skin can be any number of color, but red and blue is most common for this demon.

They focus on the blade as their primary means of attack, but they also have magik to back up their attack prowness, able to to use wind, thunder, and earth to attack an enemy. They can even use fire if there is a natural source of mana nearby, like a volcano. If needbe, they can transform into an ogre like being to grow stronger, though they lose agility and some intelligence to do this.

The interesting thing about this type of demon is that based on lore of old, Oni was the general term for demons. Now referring to a specific demon, it refers to this type of demon because it practices a certain sword style of old. Using the blade with their demonic strength, this makes the Oni a true threat; and using the Imperial way of life and buildings, which is ironically based on the Japanese way of life due to the location, they have taken that style into their way of living, making their Sects and homes look that way, another reason for their name. Asmodeus has used the Oni for his army, and many have accepted, however there are two type of Oni; some have decided the Demon Realm is evil, and have left it, though figuring the humans will have nothing to do with them, they watch from the shadows in caves or other dark places, using their sword skills to aid where they can, calling themselves Samuoni.

The evil Oni, who remain in the Demon Realm, have an unnatural hatred for Azuha, espeially the Azuha learning the ways of Kitsune of old. They are training to learn how to kill them, and it's considered a true honor to take the pelt and tail of an Azuha.

Powers: Powerful sword skills; mastery of thunder, wind, and earth magik; can use fire magik if near a fire mana source like a volcano. Can fly for short distances.

Weaknesses: Holy magik. Charms. Blessed swords by priestesses.

---

Lamashtu: These female demons are known for their extraodinary beauty - if they feed. Standing unusually tall at nearly 7 feet, they are known to have long, sexy legs, long beautiful hair that is typically dark, tanned skin, dark eyes, and their bodies are known to drive men and women wild with lust. Their voices are almost always sultry and exotic. While they appear typically to be human, they can add on extra features to make themselves appear to be either elven, catmew, azuha, or bunper. Typically the only way to identify one is to examine near their sex for a birthmark shaped like a star.

These demons, since they are all female, form female Sects and their Sects are entirely made of females, meaning they are all lesbians. While they will sex men if it suits them to get their needs, they do not typically take pleasure in it, and the rare Lamashtu that does enjoy it is typically an outcast. However, demons and humans who rape them will find such an act extraodinary enjoyable, almost up there with a Lilin, which makes them nearly the same rare commodity. Unlike a Lilin who enjoys it, a Lamashtu fights it typically and will try to get it away, maiming the male attacker if possible - killing if even more likely.

Lama live long lifespans, but they survive by two methods, which makes their survival entirely dependant on the Demon Realm's dependency on kidnapping slaves and raising a slave population. They need childbearing women, and they menance nursing women while they are breastfeeding. They kill the woman while they are breastfeeding and feed off of her to remain young looking - for if they do not, they begin to turn into a grotesque creature that appears to look like a lioness with donkey's teeth and ears, long fingers and fingernails and the feet of a bird with sharp talons. They will, in fact, look like this no matter when they reach their final stages of life. As for the babies, they will sometimes feed on them too for longer lifespans, or turn them into Lamashtu to keep their population up, or they will return them to the human slave population, or the normal human population, to keep the numbers up for future prey.

Powers: They can bring about the death of unborn children by touching pregnant women; they can also gain strength by sucking the blood of men if needbe to gain physical strength. If they allow themselves to start transforming their talons can be used to shred and tear flesh. They can also give diseases to people if they cut a person or give them nightmares from afar.

Weaknesses: Clay, chanting of prayers, wind magik

---

Rakshasa: Make up a large section of the demon population of the Demon Realm, due to the fact after Yeger stopped doing his job, evil souls were likely to be reborn as this type of demon for some reason. Rakasha are typically referred to the male demons, and Rakshashi as the female. While not all are pure evil, since it varies on how evil one was in life, and so their status in the Demon Realm reflects that - Sects forming together based on how ambitious they are to rise up in the Demon Realm, while the more timid ones get stomped on by other Demons, and even other Rakshasa. Since there's so many of them, their Sects are typically larger due to the sheer need for safety in numbers and the fact they're not very strong, but this also has given them an advantage. The stronger Sects have gained some influence by gathering stronger Rakshasa - since they have discovered Rakshasa can gain stronger by devouring souls of powerful warriors and adding to the evil in their own souls. Naturally, a timid Rakshasa will not progress in life in the Demon Realm. The strongest Sect is made up of family members who have devoured a great number of warrior souls, and have put the head of the family on the Cadre who is gained great strength due to this - a female.

Their appearance varies depending on how they present themselves. Their default monster form is yellow, green, or blue with vertical slits for eyes, large bellies, fangs and poisonous fingernails. Rakshasas have the power to change their shape at will and appear as animals (large birds), as monsters, or in the case of the female demons, as beautiful women. This makes the female demons perhaps the most deadly when it comes to seduction. They also feed off human flesh to gain strength and power off of - if they do not, they grow weaker and decay. They do not need souls to live off of, but this gives them true power. The human flesh is merely substinence and thus they do not actually have to kill their victims to survive.

Powers: They are strongest in the evening, and the most powerful during the dark period of what was once the new moon. Since Tareh is the moon, this is the period when Tareh is aligned with the Red Planet at a certain point with the sun now, and it blots it out in a certain way called the 'Night of the Red Planet'. They can shapeshift to appear as various other people, shadows, and sometimes objects if they are very powerful and have enough souls. The weaker Rakshasa cannot.

Weaknesses: They are incrediblely weak during the day and cannot perform most of their moves, unless they are very powerful. Holy weapons injure them more than others and earth magik injures them the most.

---

Wendigo: Like ogres, trolls, and giants, these are mostly monsters more than they are demons, but they roam almost purely in the Demon Realm. However, there are many with intelligence, and one resides on the Cadre, and this is a rare thing. They are large 8 foot beasts that are completely fur, with razor sharp teeth, sharp claws on their hands and feet, and have absurb strength. They are fast and can leap large distances and can hunt and track better than almost any demon.

They form packs more than Sects, though those with intelligence have formed Sects like other Demons. They have formed sophisciated Sects in the outlined cities in the country sides so they can hunt their prey, and they are big in the human slavery trade so they can unleash humans into the woods and the country and then hunt them down, for Wendigos hunt on humans and devour their flesh. Their strength is so absurb they are hard to put down and most demons are not willing to go against them one on one, and find other ways to defeat them.

Wendigos, being pack creatures, typically follow an Alpha Male, or in the case of the intelligent ones, the head of their Sect, and those are the largest and strongest. They then hunt together and work together, making them more dangerous than many demons, sharing the food that the Alpha hands down. The larger the pack, or Sect, the more prestige the clan has going for them. Since they are good trackers and hunters, other demons employ them for a multitude of things and they gain their coin that way. The wild Wendigo simply hunt their prey to eat.

Powers: Absurd strength; absurd tracking skills; absurb leaping distance. Sharp fangs and claws. Their bodies are built like ore. It excels at stealth as well. The intelligent ones have a man's intelligence and cunning, making them dangerous to engage. They also have Wendigo Fever, which is a terrible curse. The first symptom of the curse is a strange scent, detectable only to the intended victim. After absorbing this disturbing odor, the victim experiences a long night of weeping and horrifying nightmares. Upon awakening, the victim experiences a burning pain in the legs and feet, which becomes so intense that the victim runs into the forest, shrieking like a maniac, and discarding clothing and shoes all the while. Most of the curse’s victims never return, although those who do return are irrevocably insane from their experiences of the curse and the Wendigo itself.

As it grows older, it grows more powerful over earth magik and nature itself, and the dark arts of magik. It can summon dark shadow monsters at midnight to sunrise.

Weaknesses: Fire or fire magik. Silver blades or silver anything. Noise to block out the shrieks. Mystical charms. It's heart is it's weak point, then dismembering it quickly, burning it's ashes, then scattering it to the four winds or if not that each piece must be hidden in remote, inaccessible locations. Failure will result in ressurection and the Wendigo hunting down it's killer with a blood vengeance.

---

Inugami: These dog spirits/demons seek out people to make pacts with in order to be reborn. Typically it is with other demons, since they are trapped within the demon realm, and it twists their souls. However, there are cases of Inugami appearing outside in the rest of Tareh. Inugami grant strength and power to their user, but since Inugami are slowly becoming corrupted due to the Demon Realm, it is a risky proposition of power. They can enhance their partner and give them power in return for their strength, but the Inugami might also slowly corrupt the partner. Since now it involves sharing the partner's blood on occassion to keep the Inugami alive.

These spirits appear as people, only they have dog ears and tail, they are people of Tareh's past, seeking some sort of redemption, or goal, to accomplish, and are working with the partner, be it mortal or demon. When they are not in humanoid form, they appear simply as a type of dog - typically a malamute. With Yeger no longer working, and the corruption flowing through the souls, they are doing what it takes to accomplish their goals so their souls can move onward. They grant their powers, and take on the attributes of their powers, including their element and type of abilities.

Inugamis can be good or bad, and the more corrupted they become, the more dangerous Tareh might become. Especially if their partner abuses them.

Powers: Varies depending on the demon or mortal they make a pact with. They need the blood of their partner occassionally to survive based on the new corrupted rules.

Weaknesses: Being too far from their partner and they begin to die. If their partner dies, they must make a new pact soon or their soul begins to pass away. If their partner breaks the pact, they must make a new one. If either of them breaks the terms of the pact agreement, they begin to fade away.

---

Imp: While not much is know about demons, this does not work both ways. Imps have made it their lifes purpose to know everything not only about their own kind but equally about other races and everything else in the world. An imp is recognized by their cloven feet and ram like horns, otherwise they are nearly passable for human, though they exude an exotic air and
sometimes exotic looks. Where they lack in physical strength they make up in their intelligence, cunning and magical prowess. So great they are designated as scholars, doctors, alchemists, occultists and teachers to higher demons.

Scholarly creatures, they move about humans and other races with ease as they can hide their demonic looks and don’t feed as their demonic brethren do. Which makes them a great resource for espionage. Emotions, Essence and interestingly enough; wishes feeds their powers which makes them quite harmless as oppose to Vampires who require blood or flesh. In fact, ingesting such is harmful to Imps, like a slow moving poison so they take great care to avoid it but dine happily on animals and 'normal' foods.

Imps may start in a Imp sect at birth but many leave preferring the safety stronger demons can afford them, unless they attain a great age or knowledge, in which they are capable of defending against a sect alone. However, even the strongest of Imps will wisely err on the side of caution. For a imp to be left alone or separated from a group is practically suicide which is why they rarely ever alone. They have a strong sense of loyalty and community, once they find a lord or sect they will guard it fiercely never trying to advance as it would be just as disastrous.

Powers: Once a Imp has studied any magic or arcane subject from cover to cover the possibilities are limitless and varied depending on the books they read, so an Imp may know how to create temporary summons such as a elemental creature or a golem, another may master water and ice and so forth. If a Imp is working on the fly, they will need all the ingredients or conditions and may sadly realize that their efforts will backfire more than 70% of the time. Which is why they will avoid battle that they cannot statistically win.

However all their powers are magic and mana based, it is unheard of an imp successfully brawling
even with magical assistance. Though stories are heard of possessing inanimate objects such as suits of armor, statues or even a fully stocked armory have been done. Likely such endeavors are mana suckers.

Weaknesses: Flesh or blood of mortals is the main weakness. As Imps are seldom by themselves as they are easiest to pick off if alone. However many have a magically imbued power item such as a ancient tome or trinket. If this is destroyed their ties to the realm are severed and they will be powerless and in their true form for forty-eight hours, many do not survive the first. After that there is nothing that cannot be done to destroy them.
